September 24, 2017, 10:45:16 pm Psalm 51:17 says: The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the league rulebook. It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

The other proteins and formaldehyde serve to activate the immune system and open up the blood-brain barrier. This is NOT a good thing."

Not trying trying to bring John MacArthur into the discussion here, but saw a YT video today exposing him over preaching how if you take the MOB in the great tribulation, then you still have a chance to get saved. Now he's not the only Churchianity pastor with this attitude recently, and after reading what posters on one of the mainstream end times forums I looked had to say over MacArthur's comments, even though they weren't in agreement, some more or less started to leaned this way. And I was wondering why, which made me want to look at what the NIV says compared to the KJB...

KJB
Rev 14:9  And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10  The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

NIV
Rev 14:9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand,
Rev 14:10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Look at the subtle changes...

1) Notice how they take out the COMMAS in the NIV - ultimately, if you're reading the NIV with the deleted commas - when you see the "and" conjunction WITHOUT the commas, you're going to think that you're going to have to meet ALL conditions to seal your fate in the lake of fire. IOW, you're going to come under the impression that, "I can take the mark to buy and sell, but if I don't worship the beast, I can still keep my salvation...".

On the contrary, the KJB HAS THE APPROPRIATE COMMAS in between worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark - so ultimately, after the reader reads "worship the beast and his image", he's going to PAUSE seeing the comma for a few moments, before he reads "receive his mark..."(and the rest of the verse). Point being that the Holy Spirit will ultimately teacheth the KJB reader that if you worship the beast and his image, then you've made the decision to take his mark.

Rev 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

2) Notice the NIV changes to "its" image/mark from the KJB's "his" image/mark - HUGE difference - b/c the Antichrist will be a MAN, and NOT some object - which if anything reinforces the NIV's deceptions in #1 above.

Was wondering what everyone thinks? Again, the reason why I bring this up is b/c it seems like Churchianity pastors et al are buying into this "but you can take the mark and still get saved" nonsense - given they don't use the KJB, this likely explains why.

FWIW, when I was in high school, I had an English teacher that came down hard on comma splices(meaning if he saw you put a comma in the wrong place, or missed a place where a comma should have been, he would mark down your paper a letter grade). Yeah, if he was grading the NIV, he would have given it an F! Cheesy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma

The comma ( , ) is a punctuation mark, and it appears in several variants in various languages. It has the same shape as an apostrophe or single closing quotation mark in many typefaces, but it differs from them in being placed on the baseline of the text. Some typefaces render it as a small line, slightly curved or straight but inclined from the vertical, or with the appearance of a small, filled-in number 9. It is used to separate parts of a sentence such as clauses and lists of three or more things.

The comma is used in many contexts and languages, mainly for separating things. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word comma comes directly from the Greek komma (κόμμα), which means something cut off or a short clause. A comma can also be used as a diacritic when combined with other characters.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In lists[edit]

Commas are used to join items in lists, as in They own a cat, a dog, two rabbits, and six mice. Some English style guides require a comma be used before the final conjunction (and, or, nor) in a list of more than two elements. A comma used in such a position is variously called a serial comma, an Oxford, or a Harvard comma (after the Oxford University Press and Harvard University Press, both prominent advocates of this style). In some contexts, use of such a comma may serve to avoid ambiguity:
The sentence I spoke to the boys, Sam and Tom, could mean either I spoke to the boys and Sam and Tom (I spoke to more than three people) or I spoke to the boys, who are Sam and Tom (I spoke to two people);

I spoke to the boys, Sam, and Tom. – must be the boys and Sam and Tom (I spoke to more than three people).

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Separation of clauses[edit]

Commas are often used to separate clauses. In English, a comma is used to separate a dependent clause from the independent clause if the dependent clause comes first: After I fed the cat, I brushed my clothes. (Compare this with I brushed my clothes after I fed the cat.) A relative clause takes commas if it is non-restrictive, as in I cut down all the trees, which were over six feet tall. (Without the comma, this would mean that only those trees over six feet tall were cut down.)

There's many more examples and info in this wiki link - but this is what I was trying to get at.
