Running Back At Combine Says God Told Him To Skip Workouts In Order To Play For Seahawks

One NFL hopeful is under the impression that ditching the NFL Combine is how he’ll land a spot on the Seattle Seahawks roster.

Former San Diego State University running back Adam Muema left the Combine workouts on Sunday, citing religious reasons, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. Muema says he did not want to participate in the drills for running backs because missing the workouts was his way of “following God.” And, according to Muema, God told him if he missed workouts, he would eventually play for Seattle — which he claimed is his “dream.”

Muema is originally from Covina, Calif., a small city roughly 20 miles east of Los Angeles.

Muema, 21, said in a phone interview following his departure that he “can’t go wrong with God” and that God told him to “sit down, be quiet, and enjoy the peace.” Muema added that he communicates with God through numbers. wonder which "god" that is?

In 2013, the ex-Aztec rushed 256 times for 1,244 yards and 15 touchdowns before declaring for the draft last month as an early-entry junior. Prior to his entry, the NFL Draft Advisory Board projected he’d be a fourth to seventh-round pick, a source said.

The fourth leading rusher in Aztecs history will have an opportunity to work out in front of NFL scouts in March at San Diego State’s pro day.

Muema added that he communicates with God through numbers.

Through numbers? Obviously, he worships the god of mysticism, and NOT our Lord Jesus Christ!

You ditch the NFL combine, your done. He might as well have told the NFL he has no respect for the combine, which the NFL uses to determine player quality for the college draft.

This guy is either looney, or is intentionally playing a religion angle because he knows his chances are slim he'll be signed by anybody. I suspect he's got something to hide from the scouts too. The only reason a player would skip the combine is because they know they won't hold up to the standards the NFL is looking for, college star or not.
