Did the Duggars Sell Their Souls for Fame? Vainglory is to be Avoided!

I saw this on a website called "Fake Josh Duggar". It's Ben Seewald and Jessa Duggar before their wedding and is originally from their public Instagram.  I suppose some would say they are doing the ASL symbol for "I love you" and maybe they don't know any better. One always likes to hope for the best, but since this horus hand sign is so universal among celebrities, one ponders the other possibility too.

More and more I do not think the Duggar family is just some deceived folks caught up in the fame machine, but something darker. I do not think all the children young or grown are in on the deal, the parents definitely are, but their increasing fame seems more sinister to me. Even non-believers are writing articles noticing their severe hypocrisy and asking if they have sold their souls.

"I don’t know. There’s just something slightly hypocritical to me about making a big stink about guarding your children from the evils of media as well as the general human population — and then turning around and making insane amounts of money off of the media as well as those humans you’ve deemed inferior to your family. Their TV series, 19 Kids and Counting, was bad enough when it came to this. But the recent deluge of family news in the mainstream (yeah, I said it) media crosses the line. What line? I don’t know. I’m a writer, not a geometrist. Just know that the line’s been crossed. Everyone’s at fault. Except Jinger Duggar, for obvious reasons. (Run baby gurrrlll, runnnnnnn)

Last week we joked about the Duggars becoming Kardashians, but this week it seems more true than ever.

I have noticed their fame seems to be growing. The love of the world is basically what fame is. Fame is a destructive task master. We know for those who rise to the top in this world, sold souls are part of the price. Connections float the fame boat too. The hypocrisy of inviting the world to your door while you are pretending you want to be a holy Christian is beyond the pale.

The girls are hitting People magazine covers and appearing in more places then they used to. When I wrote my earlier Duggar articles, the show was still on the fringes and seemed destined to die, now it seems they forming a supposed "Christian" family entertainment dynasty. I believe this will damage all the children in the long run. America loves to see it's celebrities fall and crash. What one hasn't? Think about it.

Vainglory is a word that appears in the Bible. We are to avoid it as much as strife. What does vainglory mean?

Phil 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Here is what the dictionary tells us.

vainglory
[veyn-glawr-ee, -glohr-ee, veyn-glawr-ee, -glohr-ee]Spell Syllables

noun
1. excessive elation or pride over one's own achievements, abilities, etc.;boastful vanity.

2. empty pomp or show.
The seeking of fame for fame's sake is contrary to the Christian gospel! If someone writes a book, or achieves something in your field, I am not going to say that is wicked. You are not dishonoring God appearing in your local newspaper or having a book published. But what about seeking attention for attention's sake? What about being famous? What about the "me first" ethos of modern fame and appearing on the cover of People magazine? The Duggars are breaking biblical precepts!

Vainglory is a risk for all of us. This world is operating in a very dark way via vainglory. I think people who are more humble today suffer more now, because just being an ordinary person who loves God isn't enough, you are to aspire to a pile of selfies and fame and being "noticed". I have noticed this happening on the lower level of human contact. Even with families and organizations, we see the special standing out while many are ignored. Everything becomes a competition with the more popular, gifted and "noticed" scrambling to the top and the humble and quiet ignored and abused. Vain glory is a poison, poisoning our families, and culture. I want to write more about Vainglory itself tomorrow.

Be ye not deceived - the NWO estalishment will ALWAYS use these wicked celebrities to act as (controlled-opposition)fronts for these "hot button social issues"(in order to try to deceive born-again believers). Ultimately, they end up getting everyone to follow these wicked celebs, and NOT the word of God!

Jessa Duggar Takes Part in Pro-Life Rally in Arkansas, Takes "Stand For the Life of the Unborn"
1/19/15

Jessa Duggar took to the streets of Arkansas on Sunday, Jan 18, to march at a pro-life rally and stand up for her religious, anti-abortion views.

"Headed to Little Rock right now for the annual March for Life," the 19 Kids and Counting star captioned a photo promoting the march which she shared via Instagram on Sunday. "Join us at our state Capitol at 2pm, and together let us take a stand for the life of the unborn."

While the 22-year-old didn't specify which of the Duggar family were joining her, she did share photos taken during the march, one showing a sea of protesters at her State Capitol, and another of a banner which read, "God Loves Every Life from Beginning to End."

**Uhm...NO!

Psalms 7:11  God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

And later in the day, the Duggar clan shared more pictures on the family's Facebook page, including one of Jessa and husband Ben Seewald posing for a photo with a fan, and another of parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar with anti-abortion placards in the background.

Jessa's anti-abortion stance isn't new. In September of last year she shocked some fans by mentioning her pro-life beliefs while talking about a visit to the US Holocaust museum.

"May we never sit idly by and allow such an atrocity to happen again," she wrote, of the lessons learned at the museum, before awkwardly adding. "Not this generation. We must be a voice for those who cannot speak up for themselves. Because EVERY LIFE IS PRECIOUS. #ProLife"

Amy Duggar Confirms Family Secret on Instagram: Jim Bob's Niece Was Born Out of Wedlock
1/30/15

Nobody's perfect. Amy Duggar, the niece of 19 Kids and Counting stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, confirmed a family secret this week on Instagram.

The aspiring country singer, 28, shared a photo of her parents Deanna Duggar and Terry Jordan, writing: "The tabloids are telling the truth. My mom and dad did have me out of wedlock. Just because we are Christians doesn't make us perfect, it just makes us forgiven."

Deanna is Jim Bob's sister, and has previously appeared on the family's smash TLC show. While Deanna has reportedly already addressed the fact that she had her daughter out of wedlock, it was only this week that the story generated headlines.

In her Instagram post, Amy said that Duggar family critics have no right to judge her -- or her family -- for what's happened. "Just because I share the Duggar name doesn't mean my life is perfect!" she wrote. "God knew my uncle would have a hit show and that somehow I would be apart of it. He knew my parents story would be told. How amazing is that?! Your testimony is everything. Everyone struggles, and sins differently. but Jesus paid it all!!"

Amy also provided some insight on her mother's choice to have her daughter, despite being unmarried at the time.

"I'm extremely grateful to my mom for choosing to give me life. I'm sure she was scared, young, ridiculed, and felt ashamed," she wrote. "God's grace covered it though! She's beautiful inside and out. I'm also grateful that I have such an awesome relationship with my dad! Seriously he's the greatest! Jesus, thank you for restoring hearts, relationships and families. No matter what you have done, don't think your a second you're alone in this world. Jesus died so that you may be free! John3:16."

Nashville resident Amy also showed love for her dad on Instagram on Thursday, Jan. 29, as they celebrated his birthday. "Happy birthday to my Daddio! Who I love very much!" Amy wrote beside a snap of the two in a car.

Hours later, she shared a quote, which read: "I like messy people, people who don't fit in a box or stay between the lines, but whose integrity is greater than any rule book and whose loyalty is stronger than blood."

Her bombshell story is a stark contrast from the stringent dating rules imposed upon the devout Duggar family's 19 kids by parents Michelle and Jim Bob.

"As far as our kids dating, we believe a lot of times if you're alone with the person, it can create desires that can kind of get stirred up, and you don't have any accountability, and [that] can kind of lead to some hanky panky," Jim Bob explained last April on his family's TLC show. "Courtship is really getting to know each other for the purpose of possibly getting engaged and getting married."

In the least year, his eldest daughters Jill and Jessa both got married. Jill is now expecting her first child with husband Derick Dillard.

Jude 1:4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

TLC Pulls '19 Kids and Counting' in Wake of Josh Duggar Molestation Admission
5/22/15

TLC has pulled 19 Kids and Counting from its schedule in the wake of star Josh Duggar's admission that he molested several underage girls 12 years ago, including his sisters.

TLC refused to comment on the incident Thursday, but the network sparked outrage later that evening when it ran a 19 Kids and Counting marathon. As of early Friday, the show had been scheduled to air on the morning of May 27, but it has since been taken off the schedule.

News of Duggar's past indiscretions leaked Thursday and the 27-year-old, who is now married with three children, immediately issued a statement apologizing for his actions. "Twelve years ago, as a young teenager I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation."
