California Governor Signs Vaccination Law for Students Forcing Parents to Homeschool

California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a law that requires public and private school students to receive vaccinations to attend school. The law was made as a safety measure to prevent outbreaks of diseases in schools and will not allow for exemptions based on personal beliefs.

Brown said, "The science is clear that vaccines dramatically protect children against a number of infectious and dangerous diseases. While it's true that no medical intervention is without risk, the evidence shows that immunisation powerfully benefits and protects the community.”

Christian Today reports the only way a child may attend school without being vaccinated is a signed note from a physician that claims the immunization would be harmful to the child’s health due to family medical history or other medical reasons.

Parents are fighting back, arguing that they will choose to homeschool their children rather than give their children the vaccinations.

The law will take effect on Jan. 1, but children will not be required to receive vaccinations until the 2016-2017 school year, according to ABC.

California Now Wants to be First State to Mandate Adult Vaccines – Criminal Penalties for those Who Refuse

In a brazen act of medical tyranny, California recently became the first state in the U.S. where lawmakers removed religious exemptions to those opposing vaccines for their children. The bill now signed into law, SB277, faces legal hurdles in court next.

Now, legislators in California want to pass the “first US adult vaccine mandate with NO personal exemptions and CRIMINAL penalties for failure to comply.” SB 792, would eliminate an adult’s right to exempt themselves from one, some, or all vaccines, a risk-laden medical procedure.

Will California soon become a medical police state?
URGENT ACTION ALERT Monday July 13, 2015

SB792- The first US adult vaccine mandate with NO personal exemptions (only medical exemptions approved by a doctor and defined by the bill) and CRIMINAL penalties for failure to comply will be heard in the California Assembly Human Services Committee this Tuesday July 14th at 1:30 in Room 437.

SB 792 would eliminate an adult’s right to exempt themselves from one, some, or all vaccines, a risk-laden medical procedure. This bill would make California the first state to require mandated vaccinations for all childcare workers, including all private and public school early childhood education programs (Headstart, Private preK and preschools), family daycares, and daycare centers.

Commencing September 1, 2016, a person shall not be employed at a family day care home if he or she has not been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles. An employee shall receive an influenza vaccination between August 1 and December 1 of each year.

This bill eliminates medical autonomy, crushes religious freedom, undermines personal freedom, and burdens quality providers with a non-optional series of medical interventions in the form of mandated vaccines that are not even 100% effective.

Bill SB 792 excerpt:

This bill, commencing September 1, 2016, would prohibit a day care center or a family day care home from employing any person who has not been immunized in accordance with the schedule for routine adult immunizations, prescribed by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The bill would specify circumstances under which a person would be exempt from the immunization requirement, based on medical safety and current immunity, as specified. The bill would make conforming changes to provisions that set forth qualifications for day care center teachers and applicants for licensure as a family day care center. Because the bill would extend the application of a crime under the act, the bill would impose a state-mandated local program.

Lying PBS propaganda claims 'more than 100 people' died from Disneyland measles outbreak... actual number was ZERO

The truth is out there and is plain enough for anyone with an open mind to see: The mainstream media and the progressive Left are vaccine advocates, and will do whatever they can, including lying and forcing their views on others by law, to push their pro-vaccine agenda.

The latest example of this comes from none other than PBS host Gwen Ifill, who completely fabricated a statistic recently regarding the "death toll" from last fall's measles outbreak at Disneyland – an incident which prompted state lawmakers to usurp parental choice by passing the most restrictive vaccination law in the country.

"State lawmakers in California moved today to impose one of the nation's strictest vaccination laws," Ifill reported during a recent newscast. "The state assembly voted to require that nearly all public schoolchildren get their shots, or be homeschooled. The bill gained momentum after a measles outbreak that started at Disneyland and killed more than 100 people."

Pure fiction reported as fact

As noted by the Vaccine Fact Check web site:

Ifill's figure of 100 is off — by 100. Not a single person died as a result of the Disneyland scare, although she can be forgiven for not knowing any better, given the hype that the mainstream media heaped on the public for weeks on end over a story that had not a single casualty. This non-story became the single-biggest domestic story in the United States.

And, as we reported, it led to passage of the most restrictive vaccine law in the land – a law that some progressive Democrats in Congress want to emulate nationwide. More on that in a moment.

As anyone who follows politics and political reporting knows, Ifill is a veteran journalist; she wasn't reading the evening news as some fill-in or by accident. She is the co-anchor of PBS' NewsHour, and she is also the managing editor and moderator of "Washington Week." And yet, she read those lines as if they were well-established fact, which is "an indication that she has been unquestioningly swallowing the media hype over vaccines as much as any incredulous viewer," Vaccine Fact Check noted.

"Worse, that script also appears on the PBS NewsHour website, indicating that her staff is as ignorant as she is about the seriousness — or lack thereof — of the Disneyland story," the site reported.

In fact, as Natural News editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, reported July 6, the most recent measles-related death involved a woman from Washington state who had been vaccinated against the disease:

Not only was she already vaccinated against the measles, it was other Big Pharma medications that ultimately killed her! As the Daily Mail reports, "Dr. Jeanette Stehr-Green, the Clallam County health officer, told KOMO-TV the woman had been vaccinated as a child, but because she had other health problems and was taking medications that interfered with her response to an infection 'she was not protected.'"

In other words, the woman's immune system was compromised by pharmaceuticals, and the so-called "immunization" of a measles vaccine failed to work. But the vaccine-pushing U.S. media twisted the story around, withholding from the public the fact that this woman was already vaccinated and that her immune system was compromised by FDA-approved medications.

New push to widen California law

As for making the California law universal around the country, U.S. Rep. Frederica S. Wilson, D-Fla, has just introduced legislation, House Resolution 2232, that, if passed and signed into law, would mandate that all states require all students enrolled in public schools to be vaccinated with all vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Policy, a federal entity comprised chiefly of vaccine industry representatives (Big Pharma).

Her bill calls for children to be vaccinated specifically against HPV, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, Paul Offit's rotavirus vaccine, annual flu shots and dozens of others.

The push has begun to spread vaccine mandates to every corner of the United States, and the progressive Left will do anything it can to ensure that happens.

NM bill to end immunization exemptions killed

A bill seeking to take away a parent’s or guardian’s right to a religious exemption to keep their children from being forced to receive immunizations was just defeated in New Mexico.

If House Bill 522 passed, parents would have been prohibited from opting their children out of allowing the government to administer immunization shots to their children — due to objections tied to their sincerely held religious beliefs.

The bill, which was sponsored by Representative Deborah Armstrong (D-N.M.), was designed to take all authority away from parents and legal guardians so that every child in the state would have to be given state-administered shots —taking away the current exemption that parents and children of faith are allowed.

The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), a Christian nonprofit legal group based in Purcellville, Virginia, contends that the state already imposes a great amount of control over virtually every child in the state — save the few with medical exemptions and  those whose parents claim that their religious convictions preclude them allowing the injections.

“All students in New Mexico, including those who are educated at home, are required to be immunized,” said HSLDA Staff Attorney Thomas J. Schmidt. “Currently a parent can assert a personally held religious objection to any one of the required immunizations.”

Excessive and controlling?

Schmidt indicates that the blanket bill to eliminate all exemptions doesn’t take into account that many parents who claim religious objections to the vaccinations aren’t looking to abstain their children from every vaccine offered by the state and its schools.

“Often, when a parent requests the immunization exemption, they are not necessarily objecting to all immunizations,” Schmidt explained.

HSLDA reports that the number of shots the government forces all children in the Land of Enchantment State is overbearing — with many deeming the number of required shots excessive.

“Current law requires a kindergarten student to receive a minimum of 15 shots,” Schmidt informed.

But parents currently have two outs to protect their children from what they believe could be potentially harmful immunization injections — medical and religious exemptions.

“Any minor child through his parent or guardian may file with the health authority either an (1) affidavits or written affirmation from an officer of a recognized religious denomination that such child's parents or guardians are bona fide members of a denomination whose religious teaching requires reliance upon prayer or spiritual means alone for healing; or (2) affidavits or written affirmation from his parent or legal guardian that his religious beliefs, held either individually or jointly with others, do not permit the administration of vaccine or other immunizing agent,” the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) informs parents. “Medical exemptions are also allowed.”

NVIC urged parents to firmly stand up and take action against multiple bills in state legislatures aimed at removing immunization exemptions, maintaining that parents must retain the choice when it comes to protecting their family’s health and safety.

Uniting on the home front

Having enough of the state’s power grab over the health and safety of their children, many homeschool parents belonging to HSLDA refused to sit idly by as the government sought to extinguish their last recourse — a religious exemption — to keep the physical well-being of their children under their control. HSLDA members were vocal in their opposition to the newly proposed measure limiting parental control, making their objections publicly known by contacting their local representatives and providing public comment about the dangers of HB 522.

Mainly due to this resistance, the anti-immunization exemption bill died while still in session — failing before it even reached the floor of either house for a vote.

Applauding the outcome as a victory for parental rights, HSLDA stood behind its members’ opposition to the controversial legislation, maintaining that parents’ freedom to make medical decisions for their children should never be stripped away by the government. The pro-family legal organization argues that parents have the best interest of their children at heart — not the government.

Acknowledging that the attack on parental rights is far from over, HSLDA attorneys pledge that they will continue to challenge any proposed measure that seeks to usurp the parental authority over children’s safety — especially future bills designed to do away with current exemptions for immunizations for school-aged children.
