Title: Secular Music Post by: christistruth on March 07, 2016, 12:15:10 pm About two months ago, I am not sure when it's as if it were a blur to me, but I was born again and through that time, I have studied the scriptures, listened to hymns, prayed, and so forth, and every once in a while my flesh overtakes me and I listen to secular music, but my conscience and the Holy Spirit reminds me that the music is wicked, but then I feel hopeless and the Devil guilt's me into thinking that I lost my salvation, though the Holy Spirit, reminds me in prayer, that I cannot lose my salvation and it's the enemy attacking.
Outside of prayer, fasting, and studying the Word, is there any good sermons you guys know of when it comes to secular music? The Lord has popped a suggestion into my mind to study how the secular music, movies, and books are all working for the devil. So I was just wondering. Pastor Jason Cooley (Old Paths Baptist Church MN) has a number of sermons exposing Hellywood, rock music, and the entertainment industry. Yes, he does have a post-trib rapture view - but nonetheless personally, I've been edified by his sermons. And his entertainment-exposing sermons were excellent. Here's his SermonAudio.com page.
