Title: The time of temptation is nigh
Post by: Darrell on November 04, 2010, 05:15:22 pm
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? [Matthew 24:3 KJV]

Read Matthew 24:3-14  ok?  Alright moving along... here's the summary  (Yes means this sign of the EOTW/End Of The World is already happening)

-Let no one deceive you - Matt 24:4  (deceptions? Yes)

-False Christs shall come - Matt 24:5  (false Christs? Yes)

-Wars and rumors of wars - Matt 24:6 (wars/rumors? Yes)

-Nations rising against nations, famines, pestilences and earthquakes - Matt 24:7 (see these happening? Yes)
For clarification on this look at the posturing of nations like North Korea toward other nations.  We see famines in places like Africa, Pakistan, India and probably North Korea too.  We see earthquakes happening often and pestilences like "asian carp" in the United States.  Not to mention floods, whirlwinds, raging of waves and so on...

-Delivering of us to be afflicted and murdered - Matt 24:7 (happening yet? Not everywhere but In some places, Yes)
We see this happening in other countries but not really in America yet.  It probably wont be long before it's more common place in America and all Christians worldwide are threatened with death as if they are terrorists.  Already I hear that some preachers are being labeled as "hate preachers" because of their preaching about homosexuality.

Here soon we have Matthew 24:10 to look forward to, PRAISE GOD!  God is true and we know His salvation through faith in Christ is true.  Matthew 24:11-12 has already been fulfilled if you ask me (just take a look at Ron Weinland who claimed America would be nuked already but it never happened).  The Love of many has already waxed cold.  I know this from personal experience and testing many brethren only to find out that less than .05% obey Matthew 5:42 when they see a fellow Christian in need. Anyone who did not obey Matthew 5:42 built their house on the sand if you ask me.  However things change when the darkness comes and no Christian can work.  In those days it would be foolish to give your lamp oil to a foolish virgin who was ill prepared.

The Gospel will be preached for a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come. [ as spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24:14 KJV]

Personal Note: When I first read scriptures like this after I initially got saved and then began digging through the KJV bible (as if it were a gold mine), the reality of how sad it is that these things are happening didn't immediately settle well with me.  I had to experience it for myself to know how sad it is, especially when your own brethren and fellow servants of Christ turn against you for rebuking them whenever they let Satan speak through them.  It's very sad.  Jesus was and is blessed forever amen.  Even when simon peter let Satan speak through him to try to forbid Jesus to be delivered unto death (for our forgiveness) we see that at least he realized that Satan spoke through him and he returned to the Lord.  In my experiences, I have lost many friends and brethren because I loved them so much to warn them that they were not holding their thoughts captive to Christ before they spake.  - The truth hurts sometimes and sadly many people you rebuke wont be able to handle it so you may want to be careful and patient and loving to your brethren when they need rebuked.

God help us all in the terrible days to come

"A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Proverbs 15:1 (KJB)
