Currently federal law prohibits the interstate trafficking of human fetal body parts. Peggy Hamill of Pro-Life Wisconsin tells OneNewsNow they support Wisconsin's bill. Peggy Hamill (Wisconsin pro life)"Wisconsin's intrastate commercial activity must have similar prohibitions so that we can guarantee that the highest ethical standards at our academic research facilities will be followed and that the medical care in our state will be of an ethical standard," she argues. Pro-Life Wisconsin has known for years of research done at the University of Wisconsin on human fetal brain and pancreatic tissue -- research conducted with the assistance of an abortionist who now operates in other states. "Not only does UW not deny their use of human fetal body parts for research, but they provide their own flawed justification for doing so," Hamill adds. She describes use of aborted babies for research as part of a "Frankenstein mentality."
