Ah, the Robert Johnson story! Anyone who knows blues knows that story. One of those urban legends, because in reality, he wasn't commercially successful at all, and was known on the circuit for less than 2 years. He may have been basically homeless and playing in different places for years, but his recording career was very short. The world is just trying to make him a "legend" like so many others that in reality weren't very good. Makes for tourism, which in the end is the root of it all, at least the love of money is.

Johnson's music wasn't the problem, it was his unbelief.

Johnson's music? I'm not too into the old delta blues, but I have enjoyed some of it, but I was always a blues fan. Now days, it's no good or edifying now that I'm born-again.

Years ago I worked at a highend billiards club and they had blues night every Friday, so I'm familiar with the blues scene somewhat.
