Title: 10 Rock Stars Who Supposedly Found Jesus
Post by: Christian40 on August 02, 2013, 02:44:12 am
i have my assumptions that some of these folks are not really saved, i'm posting this for discussion here:

"Rock stars seem to have it all: incredible wealth, the adoration of millions of fans, a high-flying lifestyle of private jets and exclusive parties. But the fame, fortune and hectic lifestyle leave many stars feeling empty and searching for meaning. Some end up finding fulfillment by converting to Christianity. Here are 10 rock musicians who devoted their life to Jesus Christ."

Personally, I understand it that when Jesus says, "Judge not...", He is talking about judging a person's salvation status. We judge what comes out of their mouth, which is what defiles the man. Saved? Don't know, that's up to God. For their sakes I hope they are, that regardless of what they continue to do in the world, that in the hearts, they truly believe.

That said, one cannot continue to live in the world and serve God. Can't be done. It's being double-minded. It's the whole point of Jesus asking who's image is on the penny. Jesus wasn't talking about taxes, He was talking about living, and choosing whom you will serve in your life.

Some of those on the list are still playing the same old ungodly music. How and why? I believe, that they are at the very least, seriously misled and confused, if not outright not saved. You can't serve two masters! You cannot go around playing music to other gods, and serve Jesus.

Look at Alice Cooper, a Scottsdale resident who does several commercials here in the Phoenix area and has a restaurant named "Cooperstown"(how arrogant is that?), and STILL plays his satanic music. Why? To me, it seems like his lack of faith and the love of money.

Saved? God knows. But their fruits indicate there are still issues within their lives. All of them are not leading a life of example for others to follow because they are not giving up the "old man" in their past worldly life. They all seem to be still in the world, and frankly, products of churchianity.
