All the churches really need to be warned that Abeka is not a chrisitan curriculum. I studied English in secular college and graduated from a secular highschool. I shouldn't have been shocked when I looked up the middle and highschool curriculums of Abeka, knowing what PCC was teaching in freshmen English and Speech. The English major at PCC studies the same literature as my ungodly reprobate blasphemous degree at NCSU. Poems by Frost, Dickenson, Hawthorne, Poe memorized in the sixth grade? Hm, sounds like my public middle school. Eleventh grade: the Scarlet Letter? I read that too in eleventh grade, my Buddhist teacher loved to test us on it. Twelfth grade: Macbeth? I acted in this play and won the drama award of my graduating class. It is filthy. Why are Christian schools copying the world, are we trying our hardest to think and act like them? Abeka so sickens me. God is going to bring judgment upon all the FIB churches that think they are so discerning because "we preach against music, pants, & other Bible versions." Blah, blah blah We all love drama. We all make disney-themed musicals for Student Body. We all think nothing is wrong with Greek mythology, suicidal poems, or Robert Liberal Frost because it is just for enjoyment. God said not to study the ways of the heathen or wonder how they think or worship their gods. It is "un"intelligent to be knowledgable in the "classics". God is serious about a church that is unspotted by the world that rebukes evil and is a watchman against the wiles of the devil. But all the churches have turned aside, with itching ears unto fables. What hope is there for the next generation in America? None. There are no preachers, they are all raised up on Abeka, "crying peace peace" and going home to flip on their fiction. There needs to be an oldfashioned book burning starting with the Abeka books. Something is going to happen because God doesn't let His church blaspheme His name for long. Christians have got to quit being so ignorant.

The counter argument i run into people when i say christians shouldn't eat at alcholic restaurants is "you go to Food Lion where they sell it" well good one. It would be nice to have some land and milk my own cows. I'm praying for that, but seriously. Also, eating on the sabbath day is a hard one too, they say "you have to have police and nurses" well okay but i was talking about the local gas station. Fill 'em up Sat night. You can't witness to someone asking them to go to church with you all while you're biting into one of their sandwiches and tipping them for working during church so you can fill your stomach.

tv is a spiritual problem. Like idols, they are nothing in and of themselves physically, but they are spiritual. It goes beyond whether it is expedient or edifying. Now you are giving it a nuetral position. No, talking for an hour about nothing to someone may be nuetral, in which you must judge, was that edifying? Maybe I should shut up next time, but tv is not a matter of "well it is not edifying...." Duh, because it is satanic and you can't be a true diligent scripture searcher and in the end say, "well tv isn't a spiritual issue"

um what scripture do you need? "bear children" "be keepers of the home?" i mean it doesn't say "bear children and send them off to be educated by the world why you have a career outside of home" The virtuous woman was there for her family sunrise to sunset. Nothing should separate you from your children, because it does, it is Satan. The family is #1 first thing Satan is trying to destroy and career minded women are right on his agenda. Paul said care for the orphans. i call every child in school an orphan from 8-3 or whatever because their parent have dropped them off. Yea, im talking about christian school too. No one wants the job of teaching a child. Hand if off to someone else. Orphans is all they are.
Born Again2- yeah that's why i dropped out of secular college as a junior and went to christian college, but i found out i went just about mad there too, lol.

don't we kinda already expect this from SBCs (becoming catholics, ecumenicalism, etc). It's no surprise. I think we need to focus a notch lower and look at the fundamentals who took a stand against the SBC but are now down that same path because of fiction, and the problem is there isn't a revival happening or a split from FIB. Instead it's a handful of random churches like Johnson, Denlinger, so on. You can't go to church anymore. Let's put faces like PCC's vice president up or something instead of SBC people that we know are evil and expect all this from them. It's the fundamentals that are going to affect the next generation.

I'm not saying there is a difference between a man and woman in workplace, because there isn't supoosed to be a such thing as a woman in the workplace. "Women" and "workplace" cannot go together unless you believe in christian schools or daycares, etc. And married women without children still are supposed to be chaste keepers of the home. Unmarried women shouldn't be out there working where men can prey on them, but instead be preparing for their future home or dedicated their time to prayer and study of God's Word. I believe it's great to sell from home like Lydia, making things and selling them. This is how it is supposed to be if you have a christian father to support you until your godly husband does. Christian women were never in the workplace until around WWI and WWII. Then the public school system really expanded and women started cutting their hair off, promoting feminism, wearing pants, and using birth control. So women and workplace can't go together unless you are for one of the above. |

yeah, i also was never homeschooled (been to 10 different schools including colleges) and from coming out of it and expecting something to be different about homeschool curriculums, it was really shocking. But you can't draw the line at fornication, sodomy, violence, etc because Satan is attacking Christians subtly with fiction like talking cars, circus themed workbooks, and smiling numbers. But yea, what more do you need than the Bible. I like what Lester Roloff said, the sweet potato man was known as the most innovative person of his time, knowing hundreds of ways to use a sweet potato. They asked him how he learned so much and he said the Bible. They said "there's no sweet potato in the Bible" he said "yea but the Creator of that sweet potato is and he knows more about it that I ever will"

I don't know if there is already a topic like this but i wanna talk about homeschool curriculums and christian schools. I am against christian schools all together because it is using the worlds method of splitting up the children from the mother and adding christ to it. But then there is the problem of homeschool curriculums and finding one to use. Abeka program is REPROBATE to the max (don't think so-just look at elementary language arts and if your stomach is strong enough, look at highschool too) another problem is mothers throwing children in front of DVDs for a couple of hours why they chow down or something and then calling the job done, totally ignorant (or careless) about what their child is learning, because Satan is seeping into most fundamental curriculums and getting to the kids right at the start.

Well, the workplace definitely is no place for a woman, especially if you have kids, but for men? i dunno it's getting harder to hope for a stay at home family, where mama AND dad teach and everyone helps farm, sell trades and depend on God. It makes me seriously annoyed when preachers say, God calls some firefighters, some nurses, some technicians, and some preachers. No you liberal, God calls every man to be a preacher in these last days and if they have skills in other things, fine. Right now He is begging for the young men to contend for the truth because you best believe 99% of the college preacher boys are out for the money or either are so ignorant of satan's devices they end up like every preacher around every church corner: "God loves you, now after church lets talk about that last tv show episode- blah blah blah". Like we need any more lukewarm churches! But that is what we are getting cuz no one will wake up. I know money is the root of all evil, that's why I believe College is evil. Because the only reason people go to college is to be succesful in this world, not get educated. Quote from Pensacola Christian College's vice president "Christians should outshine the world, they should be the best of their field." Side note: reprobate college. Educate yourself, there are enough elders to ask questions and books to read and Oh wait, and the Holy Spirit, we forgot about Him. Work is serving manna. Why spend all day working for a dollar bill then go out and buy a kitchen table. Why not spend all day building a kitchen table? Just an example, i guess.

I don't know about christian dating sites, it's kinda like using the world's method to find a spouse, but I can see where people get desparate, being 22 and single. But i checked it out and it's not too much different than other sites. The women are loaded with makeup in vanity poses and the men take pics in ganster poses as well. If i were to make a dating site, I would still be more strict than just KJV only, cus remember the FIBs? It would be a KJV only, anti-fiction, anti-television, anti-internet, anti-music, anti-mall, anti-vanity, anti-birth control, anti-alcholic restaurant, anti-knee length skirt, anti-school outside the home (no wait-anti-Abeka). It would be called the "Anti-christian dating site for those who are against dating sites, but are desperate". I wouldn't have many members.

The more and more you read the Bible and cross reference the Bible and listen less and less to what people believe, you'll be post-trib. Post-trib has far too many scriptures to prove whereas pre-tribs pull one or two verses out of context and try to be smart and say "This can't be, blah blah blah" The day of the Lord is the Rapture, we are not appointed unto wrath, but we are appointed unto tribulation. Read all scripture references to the Day of Lord and Rapture together and it only strenghtens the post-trib doctruine, which by the way was what all our forefathers like George Mueller believed (he read the bible 200x) and said "If you can show me a resurrection before the first, or a trumpet after the last, i'll believe this new doctrine" And that is what it is, it is a new doctrine, for a new generation that reads less of the Bible, watches more of the TV, takes more of their pastor's word for it instead of being a good Berean, and really Satan is using pre-trib to keep the saints from being prepared for the tribulation. What confusion when all the saints expect to be raptured up and are faced with the mark of the beast?
