Well, Kilika, looks like nobody has chosen to chime in on this. So I guess it’s just you and me on the thread for now. I have much to say in response and hope that this isn’t TL;DR for anyone reading. So here goes. As a born-again Christian, take another look at that statement, and really think about it.
Ok. Done. The truth is, that is mumbo jumbo secular scare tactics.
What is? My quoted statement? Why is that scary? This is a spiritual war we are in, the flesh profits NOTHING.
I’d agree with that. It will die, mutated or not.
True for today. In the future, however, the bible talks about people that will not be able to die even though they want to. This is in the middle of the tribulation. Rev 9:6 During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. Today, transhumanism is being sold to the public with the lure of immortality. Will God allow this to happen? I believe He eventually will allow people to have exactly what they demand to have by their own hand. Who then is promoting this agenda, and where does it come from? I see, today, a kingdom of tares. This kingdom consists of spiritual rulers, powers, and principalities along with humans that willingly commune and agree with them. The spiritual entities require human participation to extend their kingdom/rulership from the supernatural to the natural realm. While the fate of the spiritual entities is fixed, the fate of the human component is presently not. They can defect and switch over to Christ’s kingdom. They still have the choice – for now. The tares kingdom is obsessed with control to the point of micromanagement. This is evident in the scientific, educational, governmental, religious, and economic communities already. The phrase “live and let live” is foreign to them. In their world, free will needs to be abolished. Note the recent rash of movies attempting to popularize the “remote controlled people” theme. There is much discussion about “the mark” of Revelation. It’s generally agreed that acceptance of the mark is irreversible and establishes the destiny of that person forever. Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. Why can’t these people repent? Is it because they can’t or is it because they won’t? From a tare mindset, one way to guarantee loyalty would be to physically alter the human body, including the nervous system. Thus, they are highly interested in nanotechnology to achieve this. People that don’t realize what nanotech is can easily be convinced that it’s no big deal. Kind of how piercings and tattoos are viewed these days. I believe that people that take the mark will make their last decision ever – the decision to completely forfeit their free will. Why then are we, the wheat still here? I believe it’s for the sake of the undecided. The tares spend an enormous amount of time, effort and money to deceive the undecided. Whereas all the wheat (or saints) have to do is reveal the tare agenda to melt the deception. The saints can also reveal to the undecided what love is. There are so many songs about love. Loss of love. Seeking love. People still yearn to experience this. God is love. His motives are driven by His love for us, His creation. A while ago, I asked God why I had free will if it resulted in me being a disobedient brat. His answer was that free will must exist in order to experience true love. Anything less is merely possession. That decision, that choice to be with someone while having the freedom to walk away is worth more than anything in the natural realm. It is the most precious thing ever. Jesus made that choice out of His love for us 2000 years ago. He could have walked away, but, for Him, love and concern for our eternal destiny outweighed every other thought. The saints are also still here because they have this testimony for the undecided. This kind of info belongs elsewhere as it's nothing but secular misinformation based on lies and fear. Personally, I don't think this is the forum for that stuff.
If you believe that, then I guess these types of threads don’t belong here either. You guys realize what this is, right? AFAIK these products are untested for long-term exposure to humans. This ties into transhumanism and how the mark shall change people at the molecular level IMO. Included a few entries from that site below. The FDA thinks it’s important enough to create a task force. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates a wide range of products, including foods, cosmetics, drugs, devices, veterinary products, and tobacco products some of which may utilize nanotechnology or contain nanomaterials. Nanotechnology allows scientists to create, explore, and manipulate materials measured in nanometers (billionths of a meter). Such materials can have chemical, physical, and biological properties that differ from those of their larger counterparts. http://www.fda.gov/ScienceResearch/SpecialTopics/Nanotechnology/default.htmNanoceuticals™ Slim Shake Chocolate “The natural health benefits of cocoa have been combined with RBC’s NanoCluster™ delivery system to give you CocoaClusters a technologically advanced form of cocoa that offers enhanced flavor without the need for excess sugar.” “The natural benefits of cocoa have now been combined with modern technology to create CocoaClusters. RBC’s NanoClusters are tiny particles, 100,000th the size of a single grain of sand, and they are designed to carry nutrition into your cells.* During the process of creating NanoClusters, pure Cocoa is added to the “Cluster” formation to enhance the taste and the benefits of this treasured food.” Canola Active Oil “This technology is called NSSL (Nano-sized self assembled structured liquids), which is a development of minute compressed micelles, which are called nanodrops. These minute micelles serve as a liquid carrier, which allows penetration of healthy components (such as vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals) that are insoluble in water or fats. The micelles are added to the food product, and thus pass through the digestive system effectively, without sinking or breaking up, to the absorption site. The minute micelles carry the phytosterols to the large micelles that the body produces from the bile acid, where they compete with cholesterol for entry into the micelle. The phytosterols enter the micelle, thereby inhibiting transportation of cholesterol from the digestive system into the bloodstream. This advanced technology was applied in the development of Canola Active oil, produced by Shemen Industries.” Bebe/Enfant High Protection SPF 50 “Many sunscreens contain nanoparticles of zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, even though you probably won’t see the term ‘nano’ on the labels.” “Nanoparticles of the two compounds are used in sunscreens because the normally white substances, which absorb ultraviolet radiation, become more transparent when the particles are nano-sized. We asked an outside lab to test for those nanoparticles in eight sunscreens that listed either compound on their labels. All contained the particles, yet only one, Keys Solar RX, disclosed that use of nanotechnology.” Baby blanket “The Precious Protechtor baby blanket is made from an innovative, new textile that has undergone extensive research and testing and is completely chemical free. The fabric is made using so-called ‘nano technology’ and allows the naturally occurring metal silver to be incorporated into the material.” [NB: This claim was found in the E-shop but not in the brand’s website] Adhesive for McDonald's burger containers “EcoSynthetix has developed a new family of starch adhesives, called EcoSphere.™ By redesigning starch molecules on a molecular level, we have created new biopolymer nanospheres that form high solids dispersions in water with more than one-year shelf life stability. Traditional starch adhesives require water, heat and caustic chemicals to gel the starch. EcoSphere adhesives activate at much lower temperatures and requires no additional chemicals. Benefits include instant tack and faster drying times than traditional starch. EcoSphere adhesives act more like a polyvinyl acetate (PVA) adhesive than a traditional starch adhesive. This opens up new markets and opportunities for our customers to compete in areas that are traditionally closed to starch adhesives.” OilFresh™ 1000 “Powered by nanotechnology, OilFresh 1000 is frying oil refining catalytic device designed to prolong freshness of oil while in use for deep frying significantly longer. OilFresh effectively inhibits thermal polymerization (molecules lumping together) process of the frying oil by checking its quality deterioration and viscosity from rising. The effects include crispier deep-fried foods, better consistency of product, lower costs and greater profits, and human health and environmental contributions.”

I have heard of dreams where people are lured to a place by the media. This dream involved Jesus appearing near some shoreline. Christians were told that it was a free event with free transportation to the site. It was even sponsored by some corporate products. Once there, they discovered that the prior group of participants seemed to have vanished from the beach. A closer examination of the site revealed evidence of a prior tsunami.
I would characterize current events as less of a “round up” and more of a “roping in”. People stay in place while the distractions are built around them. The standard 9-5 job, for example, fully occupies one’s awareness for 8 out of 24 hours. The employee is told what to pay attention to during that time frame. If the job is particularly stressful, the employee enters into a stress-decompression-sleep pattern for 5 days out of the week. Couple this with family life, and this person has less time to reflect on the big picture. More or less “asleep”.
Another example is tech. I just spent countless hours trying to figure out how to save a video from cache. Still don’t know how.

Consumer Products An inventory of nanotechnology-based consumer products currently on the market. After more than twenty years of basic and applied research, nanotechnologies are gaining in commercial use. Nanoscale materials now are in electronic, cosmetics, automotive and medical products. But it has been difficult to find out how many “nano” consumer products are on the market and which merchandise could be called “nano.” While not comprehensive, this inventory gives the public the best available look at the 1,000+ manufacturer-identified nanotechnology-based consumer products currently on the market. http://www.nanotechproject.org/inventories/consumer/

Would you say that evil has always been around, even before God created the earth?
Had somebody point this out to me. Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. What was the Spirit doing? Why was He there? We know that His Spirit restores broken things. So was there some sort of undocumented cataclysm or war between verses 1 and 2? Scripture doesn’t say for sure. But I do consider it a possibility.

If you think about it, there are in fact primarily "oocultists", of varying types, running the world. I just don't believe we will find a true active born again Christian in any place of world power above some small local post. We are compelled to flee all appearance of evil, and the governments of the world are the seat of the evil in this world. I just don't believe they would knowingly admit a true Christian into their little carnal party. So, I believe, that all governments of the world are run by unbelieving "occultists", and there are some top individuals are demons possesing people and playing games.
I can attest to that. I’ve worked with those types and there is a certain cut in the hierarchy. If one doesn’t play their game, then it’s the end of the ladder. The very notion of operating in secrecy and darkness to get ahead is blatantly revealing as to which master they serve.

No, one and the same. That Strong's can get you sidetracked when trying to understand what only the Spirit can reveal to you.
As I understand it, the "spirit of antichrist" is simply not believing, so anybody who does not believe is antichrist. But it references in the singular; "...heard that antichrist cometh...". At least to me that appears to be a singular. So I believe there is the spirit of unbelief/antichrist, and there will be in the last days a specific entity the Antichrist, the beast out of the earth, the one who will be propped up by the second beast out of the sea, the False Prophet.
I see them as closely related. One cannot agree with the pseudochristos spirit unless one has first agreed with the antichristos spirit...wouldn't make sense the other way around. It would logically follow that if Christ wasn't the savior, then people would look elsewhere, including to themselves. This has happened and is happening now. I do agree with the rest of your assessment though. "Spirit of antichrist" active since NT. THE Antichrist (inhabiting one human) TBA.

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist cometh, even now are there many antichrists; by which we know that it is the last time." 1 John 2:18 (KJB)
Interesting that there are two words used in the NT. 5580. pseudochristos, psyoo-dokh'-ris-tos; from G5571 and G5547; a spurious Messiah:--false Christ. Translated as “False” (IMO “counterfeit”) 500. antichristos, an-tee'-khris-tos: from G473 and G5547; an opponent of the Messiah:--antichrist. This is a spirit (singular, ruling?) identified here: 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.I’m wondering if these are different entities with missions that obviously complement each other.

Total shocker! I'm just going to have to look this up! I really, really thought that the word 'rainbow' is in the bible!
Yeah, I didn't realize that it was a weapon either. But here it is. Gen 9:9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; 10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. 11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. 12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. 17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. 7198. qesheth, keh'-sheth; from H7185 in the orig. sense of (H6983) of bending; a bow, for shooting (hence fig. strength) or the iris:-- X arch (-er), + arrow, bow ([-man, -shot]).

I have a question for everyone here though - what if you don't have the resources to stock up on food et al like myself? No, I'm not trying to start to a BornAgain2 fund raiser end times here, but nonetheles what can you do if you don't have the resources to prepare? Sometimes I feel we have to do what Joseph did in Egypt when the Lord had him understand the times he was living in.
There are cheap ways to stock up on basics. For instance, some have bought dried beans and sealed them 5-gallon bucket. Bulk rice stores well. The idea amongst survivalists is not to eat well, but simply to eat. Of course, all this depends on a clean water supply. There are too many variables to cover. Years ago, I witnessed a family on YouTube that had tons of weapons, ammo, food, and water stocked up. They lost all of it literally overnight due to an unforeseen chimney fire. There are seasons to life – sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. I would say first and foremost to stay tight with God, and be open to whatever He would have you do personally. He sees all the variables and can take care of you and your family regardless of how things appear. He can also use you to help other people. We are awash in lies, deceit, and propaganda ATM. We are being sold fear continually. Since iniquity abounds, I need His direct intervention to keep my love from growing cold. Correction: my love is already cold. I need His love working through me to cast out fear. I need both the love of truth and the truth of love. That is what will determine my actions.

Mysterious ‘zombie’ disease afflicts thousands of Ugandan childrenhttp://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/03/21/mysterious-zombie-disease-afflicts-thousands-of-ugandan-children/3/21/12 Agnes Apio has to tie up her son Francis before she can leave the house. In his state, he is a danger to himself. Where once he walked and talked like a normal child, now he is only able to drag himself along in the dirt. Francis is suffering from “Nodding Disease,” a brain disorder that, according to CNN, afflicts at least 3,000 children in northern Uganda, leaving them physically stunted and severely mentally disabled. “I feel dark in my heart,” Apio says as waves flies away from her son’s face and mops up his urine after a seizure, “This boy has become nothing.” “Reportedly the children gnaw at their fabric restraints, like a rabid animals,” says The Daily Tech. The article calls them “zombie children,” having “no cure” and “no future.” First the victims become restless, can’t concentrate. They say they have trouble thinking. Then comes the nodding, an uncontrollable dipping of the head that presages the disease’s debilitating epilepsy-like seizures. It is this nodding motion that gives the illness its name. more This is being intentionally brought up as a talking point for some reason. The media is also giving us several false impressions. Impression 1 – “this is a new thing.” Prevalence and epidemiology
While occurrences of the disease known as "nodding syndrome" have been relatively recent, it appears that the condition was first documented in 1962 in southern Tanzania.[5] More recently, nodding syndrome was previously most prevalent in South Sudan, where in 2003 approximately 300 cases were found in Mundri alone. By 2009, it had spread across the border to Uganda's Kitgum district,[3] and the Ugandan ministry of health declared that more than 2000 children had the disease.[5] As of the end of 2011, outbreaks were concentrated in Kitgum, Pader and Gulu. More than 1000 cases were diagnosed in the last half of that year.[10]
There were further outbreaks in early 2012, in South Sudan, Uganda, and Tanzania.[16] - Wiki Impression 2 – “The local government doesn’t care” The raw story article says: Physicians and workers with the Ugandan Red Cross are frustrated by what they see as a lack of urgency in the government’s handling of the disease. After months of lagging, officials have only begun an official tally of cases within the last two weeks. Then I find this article. Note the date. Last group of nodding disease children discharged Publish Date: Mar 29, 2012The last group of children suffering from nodding disease has been discharged from Mulago national referral hospital. "They are expected to report to the treatment centres for follow up documents before returning to their homes," the hospital's spokesperson Dan Kimosho said. The hospital will continue to work closely with the ministry of health to monitor the affected children but from the established centres. One of the children who had a problem of brain trauma underwent a successful operation, Kimosho confirmed. Before this last group, Mulago had discharged about 20 children who were suffering from the same disease. The screening and treatment centres are in Kitgum, Pader and the other affected districts." More here: http://www.newvision.co.ug/news/629956-last-group-of-nodding-disease-children-discharged.htmlSo, why is this suddenly being widely reported? I’m seeing a pattern in the spin. Before the psychiatry industry invented OCD, ADD, and any other D to stimulate cash flow, these “disorders” didn’t exist.
ADD used to mean “lack of discipline” before technology became mainstream. Generally, if kids don’t play video games and don’t watch TV, ADD never comes up.
OCD used to mean “perfectionism”. I used to be that way until it caused me to perform worse. I had to balance time spent on task with quality of task achieved. Less time, more tasks, slightly less quality. I also had to consider my state of mind. I could deprive myself of sleep, and forget to eat. But am I really at my best at that point? Is the quality of my work really as good as it should be? Or would it be better if I paced myself and intentionally remembered to take care of myself. I think it partially came from my upbringing.
For instance, holidays were particularly bothersome in my family. Everybody would get worked up, imagining exactly how ONE day on the calendar should go. If it missed expectations by the slightest bit, the whole day was a DISASTER and EVERYBODY heard about it.
Doing shift-work and working during holidays really gave me a perspective on this. For the first time, I could watch this happen to other people and not be a part of it.
Now I’m free to assess a situation and determine my own level of…..(worry? concern?)…..mental and physical engagement. Not panic and not apathy.

This study examined prospective relationships between religious factors and hippocampal volume change using high-resolution MRI data of a sample of 268 older adults. Religious factors assessed included life-changing religious experiences, spiritual practices, and religious group membership. Hippocampal volumes were analyzed using the GRID program, which is based on a manual point-counting method and allows for semi-automated determination of region of interest volumes. Significantly greater hippocampal atrophy was observed for participants reporting a life-changing religious experience. Significantly greater hippocampal atrophy was also observed from baseline to final assessment among born-again Protestants, Catholics, and those with no religious affiliation, compared with Protestants not identifying as born-again. These associations were not explained by psychosocial or demographic factors, or baseline cerebral volume. Hippocampal volume has been linked to clinical outcomes, such as depression, dementia, and Alzheimer's Disease. The findings of this study indicate that hippocampal atrophy in late life may be uniquely influenced by certain types of religious factors. We support research on subjects ranging from complexity, evolution, and infinity to creativity, forgiveness, love, and free will. We encourage civil, informed dialogue among scientists, philosophers, and theologians and between such experts and the public at large, for the purposes of definitional clarity and new insights. Our vision is derived from the late Sir John Templeton's optimism about the possibility of acquiring “new spiritual information” and from his commitment to rigorous scientific research and related scholarship. The Foundation's motto, "How little we know, how eager to learn," exemplifies our support for open-minded inquiry and our hope for advancing human progress through breakthrough discoveries. http://www.templeton.org/who-we-are/about-the-foundation/missionBiography John Marks Templeton was an investor and mutual fund pioneer. He was born in the town of Winchester, Tennessee, and attended Yale University and was selected for membership in the Elihu society. He financed a portion of his tuition by playing poker, a game at which he excelled.[2] He graduated in 1934 near the top of his class. He attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar and earned an M.A. in law. Templeton married Judith Folk in 1937, and the couple had three children: John Jr., Anne, and Christopher. Judith died in February 1951 in a motorbike accident. He remarried, to Irene Reynolds Butler in 1958; she died in 1993. He was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church. He served as an elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Englewood (NJ). He was a trustee on the board of Princeton Theological Seminary, the largest Presbyterian seminary, for 42 years and served as its chair for 12 years. Templeton became a billionaire[3][4][5][6][7][8] by pioneering the use of globally diversified mutual funds. His Templeton Growth, Ltd. (investment fund), established in 1954, was among the first who invested in Japan in the middle of the 1960s.[9] He is noted for buying 100 shares of each company for less than $1 ($17 today) a share in 1939 and making many times the money back in a 4 year period.[10] In 2006 he was listed in a 7-way tie for 129th place on the Sunday Times's "Rich List". He rejected technical analysis for stock trading, preferring instead to use fundamental analysis.[6] Money magazine in 1999 called him "arguably the greatest global stock picker of the century”.[11] Templeton renounced his U.S. citizenship in 1964, thus avoiding U.S. over $100 million in income taxes when he sold his international investment fund.[12][13] He had dual naturalized Bahamian and British citizenship and lived in the Bahamas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_TempletonThe National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services , is the nation’s medical research agency—making important discoveries that improve health and save lives. http://www.nih.gov/about/
