"I won't come, unless (the Pope) will bring in his suitcase the treasures of the Jewish people that were stolen by his predecessors, treasures that today are located in the Vatican's basement," remarked King.

Several treasures from the destroyed Holy Temple in Jerusalem are believed to have been brought to Rome; indeed the Arch of Titus in Rome, erected shortly after the death of Emperor Titus in 81 CE, clearly depicts Roman soldiers bringing to Rome the golden candelabrum and other Temple artifacts.

The treasures reportedly remained on public display between 75 CE and the early 5th century in the Temple of Peace in Rome's Forum. Jews have requested access to the Vatican's storehouses to ascertain whether the treasures are still there.

The councilman added "without the return of our people's possessions, I see in (the Pope's) visit an unprecedented insolence."

I'm starting to lean to the theory that the Earth is old, but creation of humans and animals is around the 6-7,000 year mark. 

It makes sense to me.

The creation in Genesis 1 was described as renewal :

 

Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are CREATED: and  thou RENEWEST the face of the earth. (Psalm 104:24-30 KJV)

 

 

Lucifer was in the garden of Eden (Ezk 28:13-19) as an anointed cherub. However, in Gen 3 he appeared as a serpent. Are these two Gardens of Eden the same? Something must have happened between the sinless cherub and the sinful serpent.

 

Ezk 28:13 says, "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God..." past tense. This could mean the temptation with Eve, or it could mean Lucifer in Eden before he fell and became Satan. The latter is the more likely scenario, which would also lend credence to the gap theory. Then after that, verse 14 then calls him the anointed cherub: "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth".... God speaking to him directly in the present tense. So he was an anointed cherub in the original Garden of Eden. Then after the rebellion of Lucifer, Lucifer was transformed (as a punishment) into Satan, the evil has already been “created” when the serpent appeared to Eve.

 
So when do you guys believe that Lucifer fell? In the six days of creation, or before that?
 

 

In the creation account, every word was positive, EXCEPT the words in Gen 1:2. Something must have happened between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2.

“Without from and void”: These words always refer to “emptiness”, “uselessness” or, “worthlessness”, that is to say, a confused, chaotic state, usually the result of some cataclysm, and often one that has been brought on by divine judgment:

Void:

Word study on “void” shows that the word “void” is always used in a negative sense. Usually, it is connected with something against God’s will.

 

 

The presence of the heavens and earth in place at Genesis 1:3 shows this is re-creation:  As God begins to work on the earth in Genesis 1:3, earth (and the heavens in which it exists) is already in place (an impossibility unless this is a re-creation).

b.  The presence of the angels during the seven days shows this is re-creation:  The angels are present too (also necessarily having been created at some earlier time – before the Genesis Gap – an impossibility unless this is re-creation), “shouting for joy” at the reconstruction of the earth (Job 38:4-7).  “Sons of God” (Gen 6:2, Job 1:6, 2:2, 38:7) clearly refers to the angels. Now, Job 38:7 says that when God was creating the universe, angels were there already. Thus God must have created these angels before the creation of the earth in Gen 1:2.

Apparently, the young-Earth organization Answers in Genesis doesn't want its readers to know that 19th century preacher Charles Spurgeon had no problem with an Earth that is millions of years old.

 

 

 

 

 

Hmmmm........ I hate to think that this could be a possibility!  How much damage have the YEC caused *if* they are wrong? Imagine how many scientist would now be believers if OEC was taught and funded as much as YEC is. 
Most scientist think they would have to believe in a young earth creation if they convert to Christianity etc.... Think about how the devil could be using this to his advantage, and making us Christians appear totally of the rails with all their scientific evidence proving of an old earth..... Just a thought!

Deputy Foreign Minister Ayalon: J'lem is on verge of signing agreement to formalize diplomatic relations with the Holy See.

After 14 years of glacial negotiations, Israel and the Vatican are on the verge of signing a long-elusive agreement that would formalize diplomatic relations, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said on Tuesday.

Ayalon’s comments to The Jerusalem Post came after a meeting in Jerusalem of a working commission that has been trying to iron out various issues between Israel and the Holy See since 1999.

Israel and the Vatican established diplomatic ties in 1993.

“In the last four years a lot of ground has been covered, and after long, intensive and serious negotiations we have overcome most if not all the outstanding issues that have prevented signing of this agreement for so long,” Ayalon said.

He said the two sides were “on the verge of signing, subject to final approval by the government of Israel and the Holy See.”

Ayalon explained that the final agreement was not signed on Tuesday, because it was not appropriate for a caretaker government to sign the agreement, and that the actual acceptance and signing should be left to the next government.

“All the ground work is finished and I trust the new government will sign soon, which is nothing short of a milestone in the relationship,” he said.

Ayalon, who has led the negotiations with the Vatican for the past four years, but will be leaving his post next week, said the conclusion of the agreement signifies a “real upgrade in relations between Israel and the Holy See, and between the Jewish people and one billion Catholics around the world, to the benefit of both sides.”

Ayalon and his counterpart from the Vatican, Ettore Balestrero, the under-secretary of the Holy See for the relations with states, issued a joint communiqué saying the joint commission that met on Tuesday “took notice that significant progress was made and looks forward to a speedy conclusion of the agreement.”

Jerusalem expects this agreement to improve relations not only with the Vatican, but also with other Catholic countries around the world for whom the Vatican’s position vis-a-vis Israel is important.

Over the years the discussions have centered around three main issues: the status of the Catholic Church in Israel; the issue of sovereignty over some 21 sites in the country, including the Cenacle – the site of the Last Supper on Mount Zion; and taxation and expropriation issues.

Ayalon said that agreements have been reached on each of the issues.

The most contentious was the issue of sovereignty over the Last Supper Room, with the Catholic Church demanding ownership, and Israel not willing to relinquish it. The two sides have essentially agreed to disagree on the matter, but not let it stand in the way of the overall accord.

While the Catholic Church does not pay taxes on its properties in Israel, under the agreement, religious institutions owned by the Holy See will be exempted from tax, just as synagogues and mosques are, but church-owned businesses will not.

The agreement also works out the issue of expropriating Church property for infrastructure purposes, with a list of five sites – including the Mount of Beatitudes and Capernaum near Lake Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee) and the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth – where land expropriation would not be allowed except for public safety in situations of emergency, and then only after coordination with the Church.

Urgent! Help Prevent Compulsory Vaccination in Australia.
            
                                          
Greetings!

This is a long newsletter but one of the most important ones to have been issued for some time. Please read this fully and I would like to personally urge you to take the actions needed as quickly as possible since decisions will be made in the next week which can affect our rights to say no to any medical procedure - including vaccination. MD
Coercion in medicine
Does the government have the right to force us to vaccinate our children or ourselves?

Compulsory vaccination.
No matter what your opinion is of the relative benefits or risks of this medical procedure, everyone who believes in the right of an individual to decide what is or is not put into their own body or the bodies of their children must agree that making vaccination compulsory is both morally and ethically abhorrent. No government should have the right to tell us that we must place our lives and our health at risk if our research has told us that in our particular situation, vaccinations could do more harm than good. Yet, it appears that the government may be thinking of doing just that.

For the last few months, the AVN has been told that there are moves afoot in Canberra to find a way to make vaccination compulsory. We've been informed by several diverse sources - including some who have connections within Federal Parliament - that an advisory committee has been holding meetings to determine the best way in which to enact forced vaccination within our country and indeed, that the Bill necessary to bring about such a Draconian rule has already been written and the only reason why it hasn't been introduced yet is that the issue of compensation for vaccine injuries is still not settled. (If anyone reading this has some more concrete information on this issue, please do contact me by email as soon as possible. Your privacy will be protected.)

In fact, as recently as yesterday, I received a phone call from the editor of a very well-respected health publication who said that they had received some information about vaccination being made compulsory in Australia. The editor wanted to know if I had any concrete details and I had to tell them I did not - but when you keep hearing the same thing over and over again - many times from sources who have proven themselves over time to be very trustworthy, you have to start asking whether or not all that smoke does indeed indicate a fire?

An opportunity
While the idea of losing our right to say no to something as basic as medical procedures is quite frightening, there is a unique opportunity for us all to do something positive to not only prevent vaccination from ever being made mandatory, but also enshrine our health rights as individuals in current Australian legislation.

Judy Wilyman of Vaccination Decisions has been working long and hard on a proposed piece of legislation which can help protect our rights once and for all. We here at the AVN have only recently learned of this opportunity, but we wanted to share it with you and to ask you all to become involved as a matter of urgency.

The Federal Human Rights Commission is currently considering recommendations and legislation to supposedly protect individuals against discrimination. Called the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Bill 2012, It has some interesting wording (please see the highlighted section below) which appears - to me at least - to be doing anything but protecting our rights. Indeed, it seems to say that it is illegal to discriminate against individuals unless pre-existing legislation or various Acts (specifically, health legislation) says it's OK - and should that really be the purpose of anti-discrimination legislation?

Exception for health laws
            (3)  It is not unlawful for a person to discriminate against another person if:
                    (a)  the conduct constituting the discrimination is in accordance with any of the following Acts, or with regulations or another instrument of a legislative character made under any of the following Acts:
                             (i)  the Health Insurance Act 1973;
                            (ii)  the National Health Act 1953;
                           (iii)  the Private Health Insurance Act 2007;
                           (iv)  the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989; and
                    (b)  the discrimination is on the ground of any of the following protected attributes, or a combination of 2 or more of the following protected attributes:
                             (i)  age;
                            (ii)  disability;

This Commission has received valid criticisms from many groups within the community, but the fact is that a golden opportunity has appeared if we are all willing to work hard and involve others in this task as well, we may have a good chance of making this legislation do what it should be doing - protecting our rights.

Judy Wilyman only heard about this Commission in December and was just in time to get a submission to them before the closing date on December 21st, 2012 (why do government bodies decide important matters and ask for information to be provided at a time when most people are away on holidays and unable to participate? See the letter from Greg Beattie for more information about this situation).You can find her submission here - it is number 569 in the list.

Bodily Integrity - a Basic Human Right Worth Protecting
Ms Wilyman has stated that:

"In Australia, our right to decide how many vaccines we use in our own bodies is currently under threat with the draft Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Bill that is before the Senate Inquiry.  There is a clause in this Bill that ensures that exemptions to discrimination will be legal if the conduct is included in Commonwealth Acts including National Health Acts and the Therapeutic Goods Act."
 
Ms Wilyman has written a draft clause to be included in this Bill to help protect the health and human rights of Australians and has asked us to forward this clause to the email addresses and contacts at the bottom of this post. You can put all emails into the CC or (preferably) the BCC field of your email program so you only need to do this once.

It is vitally important that the introduction to your message be in your own words and those words can be as simple as stating that you are a concerned person who believes that it is every individual's basic human right to decide how best to treat and prevent illness in yourself and your children. Because of this belief, you would like the Commission to recommend inserting the following clause inserted into the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Bill.

Human Rights Bill must protect Bodily integrity

 

The evidence for this clause has been provided in the submission made to the Senate Inquiry by Judy Wilyman - No. 569.

 

The Australian Government's vaccination policies are a human rights issue because the government has adopted coercive strategies that infringe upon the bodily integrity of the individual and result in discrimination. The government has set a default position of vaccinating (rather than not vaccinating) which removes the free choice of individuals to use or not use this medical intervention.

 

The modern international human right to bodily integrity protects the individual's right to make informed choices about vaccination and all other medical interventions. Justification for vaccination therefore depends upon voluntary use with full understanding of the risks and benefits involved. This is particularly the case because vaccine manufacturers in the US are legally free from ordinary tort liability for this product which carries serious risks in some cases.

 

Clause to be added to the draft Human Rights Bill:

 

The Council of Europe's Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine adopted the following principle in 1997 and this principle is protected in all basic international laws and human rights Acts:

 

'An intervention in the health field may only be carried out after the person concerned has given free and informed consent to it'.

 

Respecting autonomy in public health policy involves respecting another person's rights and dignity. Voluntarism is the essential foundation of health promotion and health practitioners and governments should be directed to promote informed decision-making rather than to coerce or persuade individuals to adopt a health practice. Governments and medical practitioners must respect individuals and provide accurate supportive information on medical procedures such as vaccination policies so individuals can make the free choice to use the procedure based on the available evidence.

 

The underlying ethical principle of health promotion is to avoid doing harm and all human beings must be treated as ends in themselves. US law describes vaccines as 'unavoidably unsafe' and as preventative medicine is given to healthy individuals it is not acceptable to adopt a coercive medical practice which accepts that harm will be caused to an unknown number of individuals. Coercive policies involving medical procedures must only be adopted after the policy is demonstrated to be based on disinterested science and made with the full participation and consent of the community on which they will be enforced.

 

In order to protect the public interest government public health policies must be founded on the Precautionary Principle. This principle is stated as follows (SEHN 1998):

 

'When an activity raises threats of harm to human health or the environment, precautionary measures should be taken even if some cause and effect relationships are not fully established scientifically. In this context the proponent of an activity, rather than the public, should bear the burden of proof. The process of applying the precautionary principle must be open, informed and democratic and must include potentially affected parties. It must also involve an examination of the full range of alternatives, including no action'

 

Health policies that are not founded on this principle do not protect public health. The public should not be required to prove the danger of a technology or activity after it has been implemented in the population. Public Health policy must protect the public interest and not the interests of other stakeholders.

I have convoked you to this Consistory, not only for the three canonisations, but also to communicate to you a decision of great importance for the life of the Church.

After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry.

I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature, must be carried out not only with words and deeds, but no less with prayer and suffering.

However, in today's world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to govern the bark of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognise my incapacity to adequately fulfil the ministry entrusted to me.

For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the Cardinals on 19 April 2005, in such a way, that as from 28 February 2013, at 20:00 hours, the See of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a Conclave to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those whose competence it is.

In this article Dr. William Harold, professor of Canon Law, at the Theological Seminary of Essex, GB wrote:

    "Without doubt, this is the most important discovery in the history of Biblical archeology. The scroll, written in Aramaic, the language spoken in the Holy Land during Jesus time on earth, was found in a cave on the shores of the Dead Sea by geologists conducting a survey for the Israeli government."

306-373 AD Ephrem the Syrian. One of the most important evidences for rapture is an apocalyptic sermon from the 4th century titled “Sermon on the End of the World”. It is credited to Ephrem the Syrian, a Syriac deacon, theologian, and hymnographer of the 4th century who wrote many biblical commentaries. Some suggest it may not have been written until a later date of 565-627 A.D. The exact date doesn’t matter. Even if it were as late as the 7th century, it is still 1100 years prior to John Darby. According to the daily, Brahimi told Assad that he could not remain in power and that the opposition could defeat him, but the cost may be the complete destruction of Damascus. To that, Assad reportedly answered “I will win the war, even if Damascus is destroyed.” The daily also reports a power outage which left Damascus and its environs in dark “for the first time since the start of the crisis.”

(NaturalNews) It is not a claim being made by some obscure personality who hosts a late-night "radio show" on shortwave, or by a known far-out lunatic seeking his latest 15 minutes of fame, but by none other than a Nobel Peace Prize nominee.

Reports surfaced Jan. 22 that Dr. Jim Garrow, nominated for the prize in 2009, made a shocking claim on his Facebook page in recent days that he was informed by a top military vet that the Obama administration's "litmus test" for new military leaders is whether or not they will follow orders to fire on American citizens if need be.

Garrow, founder of The Pink Pagoda Girls, a group that seeks to rescue baby girls from the officially sanctioned "gendercide" in China, is no "kook." He's a public figure who has been involved in "helping rescue more than 36,000 Chinese baby girls from death," according to the Pagoda website. That knowledge alone is what makes his claim all the more disturbing and worthy of attention.


'Litmus test' for future military commanders?

I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new "litmus test" in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not. Those who will not are being removed.

Later, he followed up the post by adding that the man who told him that is "one of America's foremost military heroes" whose motivation for divulging the information was to "sound the alarm," InfoWars.com reported.

Garrow's news comes on the heels of other notable events currently taking place, including the "national debate" over the desire by the president and many on the political Left to impose sweeping new gun control laws - including the banning of certain military look-alike, semi-automatic rifles involved in the fewest amount of gun crimes, according to the FBI's crime statistics.

The news also follows a report from the Washington Free Beacon that four-star Marine Gen. James Mattis, head of the United States Central Command, which oversees operations in the Middle East and more specifically; Afghanistan, was "given the bum's rush out of his job as commander of" CENTCOM "and is being told to vacate his office several months earlier than planned."

'Why the hurry?'

Veteran National Security reporter Thomas Ricks wrote on his blog that the firing could have been linked to Mattis' refusal to toe the line on potential military action against Iran:

Why the hurry? Pentagon insiders say that he rubbed civilian officials the wrong way - not because he went all "mad dog," which is his public image, and the view at the White House, but rather because he pushed the civilians so hard on considering the second- and third-order consequences of military action against Iran. Some of those questions apparently were uncomfortable.

But Ricks went on to say something much more revealing - and cryptic - about the Obama administration's national security team:

I am at the point where I don't trust his national security team. They strike me as politicized, defensive and narrow. These are people who will not recognize it when they screw up, and will treat as enemies anyone who tells them they are doing that. And that is how things like Vietnam get repeated. Harsh words, I know. But I am worried.

Security upgrades in the era of shrinking budgets

Concerns over U.S. troops being given orders to fire on American citizens in the event of mass gun confiscation first arose in 1995 when hundreds of Marines at 29 Palms, California were given a survey as part of an academic project by Navy Lieutenant Commander Ernest Guy Cunningham which asked the Marines if they would, "Fire upon U.S. citizens who refuse or resist confiscation of firearms banned by the United States government." The survey was subsequently leaked because many of the Marines who took it were shocked by the tone of the question.

Security at military bases around the country are being enhanced, and all at a time when military budgets on the state and federal levels are supposed to be shrinking. The upgrades are being blamed on the 2010 Fort Hood shooting, but the government's narrative may give away its motives: "Nearly a year after a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, the Pentagon is taking new steps to beef up security and surveillance programs at its bases, and will join an FBI intelligence-sharing program aimed at identifying future terror threats," The Associated Press reported.
