Yellow fever spreads to DR Congo, kills 21

An outbreak of yellow fever has killed 21 people in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the World Health Organization (WHO) says, linking some cases to an outbreak in neighbouring Angola. In a statement, the WHO said the deaths had occurred in January to March, with 151 suspected cases recorded. There was, it said, a "serious risk of further spread of the disease" in DRC.

When I read that, the first words that came into my mind were: The Gates Foundation.

I'm not saying this with any kind of certainty (just throwing this out FWIW) - could it possibly be the case that the Antichrist could be revealed at the GOP convention in July, after the rapture, when they go through this whole "brokered convention"?

Again, I'm not saying this with even 1% certainty, but just throwing out this idea.

Perhaps this will be the end game? I am not sure.

I am having doubts that the Antichrist will come out of Europe; maybe, the antichrist will begin as an American politician. Maybe.

72  General Category / Off Topic Stuff / Paul Ryan on 2016 bid: 'Count me out' on: April 12, 2016, 09:28:18 pm
Washington (CNN)House Speaker Paul Ryan, facing increasing questions about his 2016 plans, sought to end speculation Tuesday that he may be a late entrant into the messy Republican race for president.

"Let me be clear: I do not want, nor will I accept the nomination for our party," Ryan said in remarks from the Republican National Committee's headquarters in Washington.

In a plea to delegates, Ryan added: "I believe you should only choose from a person who has actually participated in the primary. Count me out."
With his conservative credentials and appeal to the party establishment, a growing number of Republicans had publicly and privately floated Ryan as the lone candidate who could unite a party in disarray as it heads into a possible contested convention in Cleveland.

But Ryan, who also has the job as chairman of the convention, wanted to dispel any notions that he's plotting his own presidential bid. Behind the scenes, Ryan is making clear that his biggest goal in 2016 is now helping save an increasingly endangered House GOP majority. Ryan now will begin a furious fundraising push for his colleagues and to bolster his own coffers. According to a list obtained by CNN, Ryan will hold nearly 20 fundraising events over the next eight weeks, capping off with a June money event in Hot Springs, Virginia.

While Ryan has repeatedly said he's not interested in a White House run, many GOP supporters argued he made similar comments when he initially said he would never become the speaker of the House.

On Tuesday, Ryan dismissed comparisons between speculation that he would accept the speakership -- which he repeatedly denied before taking the position last fall -- and his refusal on Tuesday to be considered for the GOP's nomination at the Republican convention in July. He suggested convention delegates should adopt a rule only allowing a candidate who has run to be the party's presidential nominee.

Asked by CNN if he believes only one of the final three 2016 Republican candidates -- Donald Trump, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich -- should be the nominee, Ryan would only say, "I'll leave that up to the delegates."

"We should be selecting among people who actually ran for the job," Ryan added.

If delegates follow his advice, Ryan's position means other former candidates -- like Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker or former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush -- could find themselves in the fold if the convention is deadlocked.

Minutes before Ryan was scheduled to address reporters in the lobby of the RNC, dozens of protestors visiting Washington for a "Democracy Spring"
gathered outside. The group is advocating rules to remove the influence of money in politics and loud chants of "free and fair elections" were heard inside the room where about a dozen cameras and throngs of reporters gathered to cover the speaker's remarks.

Major distraction

The move comes as the chatter over a possible Ryan bid at a deadlocked convention is becoming a major distraction for the speaker. But Ryan aides believe even a late entry would not have been feasible and would have divided the party even further.

Ryan continues to stress that his main priority is developing an agenda for the eventual nominee to adopt, to show what Republicans would do to replace Obamacare, reform the tax code, address poverty and boost job creation.

Even before Ryan planned to address the issue on Tuesday, conservatives were warning that any move to install him as the party's standard-bearer at the Republican convention in Cleveland would backfire.

The one thing that would completely destroy the party is coming out (of Cleveland) with Paul Ryan as the nominee," Republican South Carolina Rep. Mick Mulvaney told CNN on Monday.

Another conservative told CNN he opposed Ryan -- or any other individual who hasn't been campaigning -- from getting the party's nomination.
"To parachute someone in who hasn't run for the office, who hasn't done the grueling work of campaigning -- if you want to do something that heightens cynicism to all-time high, that would do it," Virginia Rep. Dave Brat told CNN on Monday.

Several House Republicans told CNN that Ryan has been clear with them that he has been trying to tamp down the speculation and he doesn't want to run for president. They say he made a conscious decision when he decided to run for speaker last fall that he was removing himself from a White House bid.

Mulvaney said his concerns had nothing to do with Ryan personally, but because Republican activists would feel "something was taken from them unfairly and they would stay home." He predicted 60% of the voters in his district wouldn't vote in November if the convention handed the nomination to the House speaker.

"I think it's simply nonsense that someone outside of the three people running for this nomination are going to be nominated at this convention,"

Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner told CNN's John Berman on "At This Hour." "It's just nonsense. One of the three will be our nominee, and I know there are some people who think there is going to be this through-the-looking-glass-moment for Paul Ryan or perhaps others, but it's simply not going to happen."

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz also commented on Ryan's announcement, which she said is no surprise given the contentious GOP nomination fight.

"I'm not at all surprised he doesn't want to step in the way of this trainwreck," Wasserman Schultz said.

_______________________________________________________________________

                               RESOLUTION

 Condemning violence, bigotry, and hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in
                           the United States.

Whereas the victims of anti-Muslim hate crimes and rhetoric have faced physical,
        verbal, and emotional abuse because they were Muslim or believed to be
        Muslim;
Whereas the constitutional right to freedom of religious practice is a cherished
        United States value and violence or hate speech towards any United
        States community based on faith is in contravention of the Nation's
        founding principles;
Whereas there are millions of Muslims in the United States, a community made up
        of many diverse beliefs and cultures, and both immigrants and native-
        born citizens;
Whereas this Muslim community is recognized as having made innumerable
        contributions to the cultural and economic fabric and well-being of
        United States society;
Whereas hateful and intolerant acts against Muslims are contrary to the United
        States values of acceptance, welcoming, and fellowship with those of all
        faiths, beliefs, and cultures;
Whereas these acts affect not only the individual victims but also their
        families, communities, and the entire group whose faith or beliefs were
        the motivation for the act;
Whereas Muslim women who wear hijabs, headscarves, or other religious articles
        of clothing have been disproportionately targeted because of their
        religious clothing, articles, or observances; and
Whereas the rise of hateful and anti-Muslim speech, violence, and cultural
        ignorance plays into the false narrative spread by terrorist groups of
        Western hatred of Islam, and can encourage certain individuals to react
        in extreme and violent ways: Now, therefore, be it
    Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
            (1) expresses its condolences for the victims of anti-
        Muslim hate crimes;
            (2) steadfastly confirms its dedication to the rights and
        dignity of all its citizens of all faiths, beliefs, and
        cultures;
            (3) denounces in the strongest terms the increase of hate
        speech, intimidation, violence, vandalism, arson, and other
        hate crimes targeted against mosques, Muslims, or those
        perceived to be Muslim;
            (4) recognizes that the United States Muslim community has
        made countless positive contributions to United States society;
            (5) declares that the civil rights and civil liberties of
        all United States citizens, including Muslims in the United
        States, should be protected and preserved;
            (6) urges local and Federal law enforcement authorities to
        work to prevent hate crimes; and to prosecute to the fullest
        extent of the law those perpetrators of hate crimes; and
            (7) reaffirms the inalienable right of every citizen to
        live without fear and intimidation, and to practice their
        freedom of faith.

Outside of the KJV, this book may be one of the most necessary things for the average American to read. Yes, the author has a Catholic background, but that is only brought up once in the book (and that was criticized by evangelicals later), but nevertheless, it may be the most eye-opening look at reality that any fiction book can bring.

In the real-life town of Black Mountain, in the outskirts of the Appalachian Mountains, in North Carolina, a town, as well as the nation, tries it's best to survive as it's thrown back three-four hundred years in the past as a EMP launched by an unnamed enemy cripples the nation. One of the town's citizens, John Matherson, tries to keep peace and unite the people as they struggle to live as there recent ancestors had to.

This book, to be honest, led me into the mindset that led me back to Christ.

Sadly, Geoffrey Grider, the Editor-in-Chief of that Now the End Begins end times news site, has gotten on the Trump bandwagon. Personally, I find it one of the few decent news sites left out there (and still go there for news) - however, Grider himself has some doctrinal issues (ie, he's a Hyper-Dispensationalist who believes there's NINE dispensations in the bible, and pretty much cuts up the New Testament saying how parts of it AREN'T for us in this current dispensation age).

So you have CNN/FOX and other MSM outlets calling Trump an "anti-establishment outsider".

These "alternative independent" news media stations like Alex Jones and Michael Snyder saying the same thing.

And now some of these "Christian" sites like Now the End Begins are saying the same thing.

Can't help but think they have the SAME spirit in them, which worketh in the children of disobedience.

Infowars is no longer even conspiracies, it's all about Trump!

Yeah, NTEB has turned to TrumpMania. It has bugged me to no end.  Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed

Quote
IHS:

The Christogram IHS is a monogram being a symbol of Jesus Christ in form of acronym.

From Greek it is an abbreviation of the name IHΣΟΥΣ (Jesus).

In Eastern Orthodox Church the Christogram is composed with letters X and P and I and X arranged into the cross. They are the first letters of one from two words in Greek language: Christ and Jesus Christ.

In the Western culture there exist the compositions: "IHS" and also "IHC" being the first letters (iota-eta-sigma) of the name Jesus in Greek alphabet: ΙΗΣΟΥΣ (Ίησοῦς or ΙΗϹΟΥϹ with lunated sigma). The abbreviation in form "IHS" appeared in first time on the coins of Justinian II on the turn of the 7th and 8th centuries.

The order of Jesuits, in other words the Society of Jesus (Societas Iesu), adopted IHS as its fixed emblem - the symbol in 17th century. There appeared also Latin interpretations of the abbreviation IHS, among others:

Iesus Humilis Societas - Humble Society of Jesus,
Iesus Hominum Salvator - Jesus, Savior of men,
and also:

In hoc signo (vinces) - In this sign (you will win).
These developed inscriptions were formed the most probably because in Middle Ages people in wrong way had read the letter E as H.

According to a legend, this inscription with the cross was seen by emperor Constantine the Great in his sleep before the battle against Maxentius in 312 on the Ponte Milvio.

Commentators unfriendly to the Catholic Church sometimes interpret the abbreviation IHS as derived from the solar idols of the Egyptian mythology: Isis, Horus and Seth. Nevertheless, present scientific knowledge do not confirm such interpretations.

https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christogram_IHS

The Coat of Arms for Pope Francis has the same symbol.

Luk 21:28  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Boehner used ‘Catholic guilt’ to persuade Ryan to succeed him as speaker

Rep. Paul Ryan is a self-proclaimed budget wonk, with his dream job being chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee.

But the Wisconsin Republican has ascended to be the speaker of the House, and former Speaker John A. Boehner says it’s all thanks to that old-time religion.

I thought that he was going to be open and call it Mystery Babylon! It would be the first time that a politician was truly honest.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin Grin

“First, I laid every ounce of Catholic guilt I could on him,” Mr. Boehner said during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“You have no choice. This isn’t about what you want to do. It’s about what God wants you to do. And God has told me, he wants you to do this,” he told Mr. Ryan. “Oh, I pulled it all out.”

It paid off. Mr. Ryan was sworn in as the 54th speaker of the House on Thursday, the youngest in 150 years. At 45, he is a good two decades younger than his predecessor and is seen as a fresh face to liven up and help repair the fractured Republican Party.

With five interviews Sunday morning, Mr. Ryan has started to put together a plan for his speakership.

“I think the key here is we need to get Congress working like it was intended to by the founders, a bottom-up, consensus-driven process,” he said on “Fox News Sunday.”

This “bottom-up, consensus-driven process” has been pushed by the Freedom Caucus, a 40-member conservative group that instigated Mr. Boehner’s ouster and sabotaged Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s speakership bid, resulting in his withdrawal.

Mr. Ryan had to win over the key group to assume the speakership, and some Republicans are concerned that their new leader will be beholden to the Freedom Caucus lest they cause chaos like they did with Mr. Boehner.

Mr. Ryan does not believe that will be the case. He intends to open the floor to discussion from all groups and points of view, he said.

“I think members were frustrated that they did not really have the opportunity to express their own views on the floor,” he said on CNN’s “State of the Union. “I think the legislative process has been too tightly controlled and has to be reopened up. I want members of Congress representing their constituents having the ability and the process to actually advance ideas.”

He cited the big issues on which he hopes to focus such as the economy, poverty, defunding Planned Parenthood and repealing Obamacare. He also wants to introduce a simpler tax code.

One of his first big moves will be setting up a special committee to investigate Planned Parenthood, similar to the one Mr. Boehner formed to investigate the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack that resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya.

“I don’t think Planned Parenthood should get a red cent from the taxpayer,” Mr. Ryan said on CNN. “I believe we need to do our oversight. We’re just beginning to start a committee to investigate Planned Parenthood.”

Mr. Ryan also has worked hard on immigration reform, but a bill on that touchy subject does not look likely anytime soon in the deeply divided House. Although the Freedom Caucus insisted that Mr. Ryan not move any immigration reform legislation, he said Sunday that he is not avoiding it just for political reasons.

“This president tried to go around Congress to unilaterally write immigration law,” he said of President Obama’s executive orders. “So specifically, on this issue, you cannot trust this president on this issue. So, why would we want to pass legislation on a very divisive issue with a president we can’t trust on this issue?”

Mr. Ryan also wants to push welfare reform that will “move people from welfare to work, so that people can make the most of their lives.”

While he plans to shake up the House and its processes, some things will stay exactly the same. Mr. Ryan, a resident of Janesville, Wisconsin, who is known for his tendency to sleep in his office rather than rent an apartment in Washington, said he would continue to do so as speaker.

“I just work here. I don’t live here. So, I get up very early in the morning. I work out. I work until about 11:30 at night. I go to bed. And I do the same thing the next day,” he said on CNN.

“It actually makes me more efficient. I can actually get more work done by sleeping on a cot in my office. I have been doing it for at least a decade, and I’m going to keep doing it,” he said.

About two months ago, I am not sure when it's as if it were a blur to me, but I was born again and through that time, I have studied the scriptures, listened to hymns, prayed, and so forth, and every once in a while my flesh overtakes me and I listen to secular music, but my conscience and the Holy Spirit reminds me that the music is wicked, but then I feel hopeless and the Devil guilt's me into thinking that I lost my salvation, though the Holy Spirit, reminds me in prayer, that I cannot lose my salvation and it's the enemy attacking.

Outside of prayer, fasting, and studying the Word, is there any good sermons you guys know of when it comes to secular music?

The Lord has popped a suggestion into my mind to study how the secular music, movies, and books are all working for the devil. So I was just wondering.

Just curious (if you don't mind me asking), how many hours of sleep do you get per night?

Personally, I try to get to bed b/w 10-11pm (and have all electronics turned off an hour prior) - so by the time I get up around 6am, I'm at least decently alert throughout the day. However, when I go to bed around midnight, everything seems to get shifted out of place over the next day.

6 and a half to seven hours.

Every-time I listen to Godly sermons and hymns, I suddenly feel a sense of wanting to sleep.

Is Satan attacking me? Huh Huh

Pope Francis Says That The Muslim Invasion Of Europe Should Be Embraced

"We can speak today of Arab invasion. It is a social fact," Pope Francis says with detachment, as if observed that the weather is cold. But he immediately added - and theorists of the "great change", dear to the far right, then it would remain disappointed - "how many invasions has experienced Europe in the course of its history! But he has always been able to overcome herself, go ahead then they find themselves as increased by the exchange between cultures."

3/4/16

Pope Francis referred to an “Arab invasion” during a speech to a French Christian group this week, adding that Europe has been enhanced by previous influxes of people.

“And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” Revelation 13:6 (KJV)

In an absolutely shocking statement yesterday, Pope Francis very matter-of-factly declared that the Muslim invasion of Europe is an established fact and that it if Europe wanted to survive they should embrace the millions of illegal migrants pouring across their borders. The website of the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano had this to say:

“We can speak today of Arab invasion. It is a social fact,” Pope Francis says with detachment, as if observed that the weather is cold. But he immediately added – and theorists of the “great change”, dear to the far right, then it would remain disappointed – “how many invasions has experienced Europe in the course of its history! But he has always been able to overcome herself, go ahead then they find themselves as increased by the exchange between cultures.” – source

The pope then went on to say that Europe needs a “healthy secularism” where all religious points of view are tolerated and accepted:

“A healthy secularism includes an opening to all forms of transcendence, according to the different religious and philosophical traditions”

The speed in which Pope Francis is assembling and building his One World Religion is astonishing. He said in the same meeting “Let us put aside the religious dimension” and let us “make an appeal to all humanity”.

You are watching the prophesied One World Religion coming to life before your very eyes.
