Israeli Speaker Attacked in N Ireland     Israel Today News  Mar 8th
   Displaying their hypocrisy, activists protesting Israel’s alleged oppression of the Palestinian Arabs violently attacked an Israeli dignitary invited to speak at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland.  Solon Solomon, a former Knesset staffer, was invited to address law students at the university, but never got the chance to deliver his speech, as members of the Palestine Solidarity Society and the terrorist-linked Sinn Fein political party shouted him down from the podium.  Fearing for his safety, the Belfast Herald reported that Solomon fled the hall and retreated into a nearby room, which the protestors immediately surrounded. University guards immediately responded by safely escorting Mr. Solomon to a waiting taxi. But the protestors were in hot pursuit, and attempted to smash through the vehicles windows in order to harm Mr. Solomon.
   Members of the group Northern Ireland Friends of Israel who were in attendance also felt threatened and hid in another nearby classroom until the ordeal was over. University officials said they regretted the attack, but there were no reports of any disciplinary action. Nor were reports of any of the violent offenders being arrested by local police. Meanwhile, Britain on Tuesday moved a step closer to recognizing a Palestinian state by upgrading the Palestinian Authority diplomatic delegation in London to an official “diplomatic mission,” which is essentially an embassy in all but name.
