Here’s How Trump Could Legally Justify A Temporary Muslim Bar

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s proposal to temporarily bar alien Muslims from entering the country is legal under the Immigration and Nationality Act, which gives the president authority to suspend the entry of any and all aliens deemed “detrimental” to U.S. interests.

“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate,” the 1952 law states.

Trump calls for a “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the United States who are not citizens Monday, on the heels of President Barack Obama’s address to the nation regarding the continuing threat of terrorism. (RELATED: Jihadi & Clyde: San Bernardino Shooters WERE Radicalized)

“Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,” Trump adds in the statement.

His plan sparked an immediate bipartisan backlash from critics. Republican presidential candidate Lindsey Graham called Trump a “xenophobic, religious bigot,” and House Speaker Paul Ryan called it un-American. Several news outlets characterize the plan as unprecedented, unconstitutional and probably illegal.

The proposal may violate international agreements, but its hard to see how it could be unconstitutional, since it refers to non-U.S. citizens. In addition to the broad authority to suspend entry to aliens deemed “detrimental,” the Immigration and Nationality Act stipulates any immigrant affiliated with a totalitarian party is inadmissible.

“In general – any immigrant who is or has been a member of or affiliated with the communist or other totalitarian party (or subdivision or affiliate thereof), domestic or foreign, is inadmissible,” it reads. That clause was added to keep out communists when the law was passed, but could apply to theocratic Muslims. (RELATED: The House-Passed Refugee Bill Ignores These Key Concerns)

Census Bureau data shows immigration from the Middle East is one of the fastest growing categories, which could be spurred by Obama’s plan to admit many more Syrian refugees. The U.S. issued 680,000 green cards to migrants from Muslim-majority countries from 2009 to 2013, which is a population five times that of Washington, D.C., according to data published by the Department of Homeland Security.

Trump is so screwing everything up, the media, the Left and the Right just have no idea what to do.  Cheesy

‘We Will Go to Break If You Keep Talking’: Donald Trump’s On-Air Fight With MSNBC Host Forces Abrupt Commercial Break

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump sparred with the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Tuesday, at one point daring Joe Scarborough to “go to break” when he refused to “stop talking.”

The contentious topic of discussion was Trump’s proposal to temporarily ban all Muslims from entering the U.S.

“You’ve got to let us actually ask questions, you’re just talking,” Scarborough said.

“Joe, I’m not just talking — I’m giving you the facts,” Trump shot back.

That’s when the MSNBC host warned, “We will go to break if you keep talking.”

When Trump continued to speak and dared him to go to break, insisting he is merely stating the “facts,” Scarborough followed through on his threat.

“Go to break, go to break, go to break right now,” he said. “We’ll be right back with more ‘Morning Joe.’”

Not that Trump was ever a great candidate, but it's so obvious they want to give the prize to Hillary.

For God and country: more U.S. pastors seek political office in 2016

NEW YORK (Reuters) - One Sunday two years ago, Pastor Rob McCoy, who believes in banning abortion and gay marriage and putting prayer back in schools, stood at the pulpit of his California mega church and announced he was endorsing a political candidate: himself.

“Every single person in this room has been inculcated and trained to think that any time a pastor opens his mouth to talk about politics from the pulpit, somehow that’s wrong,” said the 51-year-old McCoy. "You’ve been taught incorrectly. There should be no other place that you should speak of it but from the pulpit.”

McCoy lost his bid for the California State Assembly but, with the help of 650 volunteers, mostly from his church, he later won a seat on the Thousand Oaks, California, city council.

McCoy represents a tactical shift within a Christian far right seeking to regain its political influence after losing several big battles in the so-called culture wars, including the Supreme Court ruling this year allowing gay marriage. That shift is being brought into sharp focus as activists prepare the battleground for the 2016 general election.

Aiming to motivate conservative Christians, they are focusing on smaller political races, local ballot initiatives and community voter registration drives.

At the center of the effort is the American Renewal Project, an umbrella group that says it has a network of 100,000 pastors. It is headed by evangelical Republican political operative David Lane, who wants to recruit 1,000 pastors to run for elected office in 2016.

So far, roughly 500 have committed to running, Lane told Reuters.

“This is a fundamental shift in strategy,” said John Fea, a history professor at Christian Messiah College, who is nevertheless skeptical the effort will produce the desired results. “Rather than forcing this from the top down, this is about a grassroots approach to changing the culture by embedding ministers in local politics from the ground up,” he said.

In some instances, pastors are trumpeting their candidacies or those of other evangelicals directly from the pulpit, in violation of Internal Revenue Service rules governing tax-exempt churches. Some are launching church-wide voter registration drives.

One, Brad Atkins, pastor of South Carolina's Powdersville First Baptist Church, said he has just finished registering every eligible voter in his church of 300. “I even lick the envelope and stick on the stamp for them,” said Atkins.

Several of the pastors in Lane’s network were instrumental in last month’s defeat of Houston's “transgender bathroom bill,” the local ordinance that banned discrimination against sexual orientation and gender identity in public places. The pastors united to decry the measure and encourage congregants to sign a petition that eventually put the new law to a ballot initiative, where it was voted down.

ALL-EXPENSES PAID RETREATS

White evangelicals make up about 20 percent of the U.S. population, according to the Public Religion Research Institute, and have long represented a key voting bloc for Republicans. While less organized as a national and cultural force than in the 1980s and 1990s under the leadership of Jerry Falwell's Moral Majority and the Christian Coalition, evangelicals still reliably turn out for presidential elections.

In 2004, they were instrumental in President George W. Bush's re-election bid, when strategists made a concerted effort to mobilize them and used some of the voter registration strategies Lane advocates today. They turned out in similar numbers in 2008 and even 2012, when Mitt Romney, a Mormon who many evangelicals considered too moderate, was the Republican nominee, according to a report by the Pew Research Center.

In the runup to November 2016, Lane says he is holding conferences in hotels across the country nearly every week, bringing together thousands of far right pastors and their wives for two-day, all-expenses paid retreats. There are lectures on running political campaigns, turning out voters, and injecting sermons with a healthy dose of politics.

They are lessons pastors such as Beryl Amedee put into practice after attending one of the gatherings over the summer, where she learned how to deal with the media and fend off attacks on her religion. In November, Amedee won a seat as a Louisiana state representative, beating out an 8-year incumbent.

“In the 1970s, our attitude was, 'We are not of this world, Jesus is coming, so why bother with government?',” said Amedee. “Now, we know we are the government.”

Helping fund the events are political donors like the billionaire Wilks brothers, who have given up to $10 million according to sources close to the family. The Wilks, together with their wives, have also given $15 million to a Super PAC supporting the presidential campaign of Texas Senator Ted Cruz, a favorite of evangelicals.

"THE LORD IS LEADING ME"

Cruz, who has shown up at about 10 of the events this year alone, appears to be the candidate who may benefit most from Lane's drive. He attended a recent gathering at a hotel in Chantilly, Virginia, where about 200 pastors and their wives listened to a series of speakers.

Lane's speakers paint a picture of an America where religious freedom is under assault by secular forces. One case often cited is that of the Washington state flower shop owner who was sued for discrimination because she declined to provide arrangements for a gay wedding.

After attending several of Lane’s events last spring, Pastor Jack L. Martin went on to announce to his congregation in November, “I feel the Lord is leading me to enter the congressional race here in the Florida 11th District,” he said.

Critics say openly discussing politics from the pulpit - even announcing plans to run for office - threatens the concept of separation of church and state. It is also prohibited by the IRS, if churches want to remain tax exempt.

Since 2012, about 900 preachers from evangelical fundamentalist churches across the United States have made recordings of politically infused sermons and sent them to the IRS. The federal tax agency, which declined to comment, has yet to take any action.

Lane and his network of pastors say they are well within their rights to bring politics into the church. “The founding fathers never meant for the church not to participate in government,” said Lane. “They meant for the government not to interfere with the church.

Sharpton Mad Trump 'Hijacked' Black Ministers from Dems, Announces 'Racial Justice Forum'
You snooze, you lose, "reverend."

Al Sharpton isn't happy that Donald Trump beat Democrats in reaching out to black ministers for support in the upcoming presidential election. And because of this, he has decided to do what he does best: call for a "racial justice forum."

As a loyal subject of Barack Obama, Sharpton has asked all three Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O'Malley, to participate in January with top black ministers from around the country. According to Politico, they've all agreed to attend.

Sponsoring the big moment for Sharpton is his own National Action Network. The reason for the event is so Sharpton can reach out to "the largest gathering of black voters in… churches" -- a group, he believes, has been largely ignored by the Democratic candidates.

Sharpton didn't like being in the shadows of Trump's media blitz last month when the Republican front-runner announced he was meeting with a large group of black pastors:

Trump did what we have not seen them do on the Democratic side. A lot of them didn’t represent a large body, but he beat the Democrats to the perception in Black America that he respected the Black church. He’s hijacked the optics of respecting the Black church that the Democrats have not done.

Sharpton hasn't yet offered his endorsement in the race, saying he is still undecided. But Clinton's comments on the shooting of Laquan McDonald by Chicago Police may be swaying support in her direction:

I was impressed with Clinton’s statement on Chicago, calling for a special prosecutor. That meant something. She’s starting to say and do things that are warming me up but I’m not there yet.

Like Sharpton, Clinton will say anything to stay relevant and in the game.

ACLU Board Member Resigns After Urging People To Kill Supporters Of Trump

A board member for the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado has resigned after urging people to kill supporters of presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Loring Wirbel’s Facebook post was captured by The Daily Caller – a right-leaning online newspaper.

The post states, “The thing is, we have to really reach out to those who might consider voting for Trump and say, ‘This is Goebbels. This is the final solution. If you are voting for him I will have to shoot you before Election Day.’ They’re not going to listen to reason, so when justice is gone, there’s always force…”

“It’s almost like, you will think the way we think, you will do what we want you to do, or we eliminate you?” says Steve House, chair of the Colorado Republican Party.

It’s the second threat against Republicans in Colorado in one week.

Fern Delise, 54, of Fountain was arrested after police say she called Planned Parenthood saying, “It’s tempting to walk into a republican party meeting with my dead husband’s gun and just start shooting people.”

House says the party is taking additional security measures at large gatherings, “I think we have to be prepared as a party and I think politics is just overdone. We’ve got to realize the country needs to pick leader and we need to do a serious job of doing that but this kind of rhetoric really doesn’t help at all and frankly it scares us and people need be worried about it a little bit.”

The ACLU of Colorado released a statement saying it “does not condone the recent personal Facebook post of regional volunteer Loring Wirbel. The ACLU of Colorado is a nonpartisan organization. We do not endorse candidates or parties. We have proudly spent decades fighting for the rights of all Coloradans, regardless of political affiliation, to vote and to freely participate in the political process. Our members, supporters, and volunteers are free to express their own personal views and opinions in their personal lives. We have fought for decades to preserve that right, as well, for all Coloradans, no matter how strongly we disagree with the content. However, the personal posts of members, supporters, and volunteers on their own personal social media sites should not be mistaken for endorsements or official statements of the ACLU of Colorado.”

House says, “The American Civil Liberties Union does good work. We’re talking about civil liberties, my ability to have liberty. And yet if you talk about this kind of statement you’re talking about abolishing my civil liberties in favor of what you believe. I think that kind of rhetoric doen’t belong in the ACLU let alone anywhere in America. There’s a point to free speech where if you’re threatening violence that you’ve gone beyond what free speech allows and it has to be taken seriously, especially given the environment in the country right now.”

Wirbel did not respond to a request for comment. He is from Colorado Springs and police there say his post is covered by free speech and they do not intend to investigate.

http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/donald-trump-gop-front-runner-president-united-states-2016/
DONALD TRUMP IS NOW THE UNDISPUTED GOP FRONT-RUNNER FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
The CNN moderators pressed Donald Trump early on his recent proposal to stop Muslims from immigrating or visiting the U.S. His answer was simple and stark: “We are not talking about isolation. We’re talking about security. We’re not talking about religion. We’re talking about security.”

12/16/15

REPUBLICAN FRONTRUNNER DONALD J. TRUMP HAS SOMETIMES STRUGGLED ON THE GOP DEBATE STAGE. ON TUESDAY NIGHT, HE OWNED IT.

EDITOR’S NOTE: FROM THIS POINT ON, THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WAY OF DONALD TRUMP TO BECOMING THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. JEB BUSH, HOWEVER, HAS REPEATEDLY DECLARED THAT “DONALD TRUMP WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT”. IF YOU FOLLOW CONSPIRACY THEORY, PERHAPS THAT IS SOMETHING THAT MR. TRUMP SHOULD BE CONSIDERING CAREFULLY. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE GRASSY KNOLL, DONALD, HISTORY HAS A FUNNY WAY OF REPEATING ITSELF.

Donald Trump made few mistakes, despite efforts by the moderators and the other candidates to knock him out of the pole position. While Sens. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% sparred over past Senate votes, and other candidates repeated lines familiar from the campaign trail, Trump looked comfortable–and solid.

He may not always have had the “right” answer, but he sounded more fluent with his own positions. At one stage, he even felt confident enough to tangle with members of the audience–supporters, it seemed, of Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) –who booed his idea to “infiltrate” Islamic State on the Internet.

“I just can’t imagine somebody booing. These are people that want to kill us, folks, and you’re objecting to us infiltrating their conversations? I don’t think so.”Perhaps Trump’s rally on Monday evening was a useful warmup. There, Trump sparred jovially with left-wing hecklers and mocked the media for covering them.

CNN 5TH MAIN GOP DEBATE PART 3, 5TH REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE, DECEMBER 15, 2015

Perhaps, too, grim events have conspired to affirm Trump’s “bombastic” (Carly Fiorina’s word) approach to national security: as he pointed out, both the Paris and San Bernardino terror attacks have happened since the last GOP debate.

PERHAPS TRUMP SIMPLY KNOWS HE IS SITTING ON A BIG LEAD.

Regardless, Trump won on Tuesday night–at times by fighting hard, at times by letting the stragglers squabble.

There were few personal attacks, no misstatements of his own policies. He faced repeated (and repetitive) attacks from Jeb Bush–often instigated by the moderators, as Trump pointed out–and simply pointed to his poll numbers.

He took a pass on Hugh Hewitt’s question about the nuclear triad. His opponents will remember. No one else will.

The CNN moderators pressed Donald Trump early on his recent proposal to stop Muslims from immigrating or visiting the U.S. His answer was simple and stark: “We are not talking about isolation. We’re talking about security. We’re not talking about religion. We’re talking about security.”

NO ONE–LEAST OF ALL BUSH–LAID A GLOVE ON HIM AFTER THAT.

The vaunted Trump-vs.-Cruz fight failed to materialize. Cruz allowed himself to become entangled in arguments over foreign policy between the interventionist Rubio and the reticent Paul, who blasted Rubio on immigration.

Dr. Ben Carson and Fiorina had moments, and the other two governors onstage sounded clear themes–New Jersey’s Chris Christie attacking Washington, and Ohio’s John Kasich calling for less bickering.

But it was Trump’s night.

When Hewitt asked Trump to re-affirm his commitment to staying within the Republican Party, Trump said he would do so, prompting Hewitt himself to applaud.

“I feel honored to be the frontrunner,” Trump explained.

After winning the last debate of 2015, Trump is not just the frontrunner. He is the favorite to win the nomination. source

ISIS RECRUITMENT VIDEO FEATURES CLINTON, NOT DONALD TRUMP
Former President Bill Clinton featured in recent ISIS recruitment video

 Cheesy
By now Democrat presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton’s comment that the Islamic State terror group used videos of Donald Trump to recruit radical jihadists has been proven false.

Quote
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
I demand an apology from Hillary Clinton for the disgusting story she made up about me for purposes of the debate. There never was a video.
6:51 AM - 21 Dec 2015

But in an interesting development, a video recently released by ISIS actually features an image of the democrat candidate’s husband.

“A four-minute video released by ISIS last month, entitled ‘No Respite,’ includes an image of Bill Clinton, who is called a ‘fornicator’ — a reference to his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, among many others,” reports Daily Caller’s Chuck Ross.

On Saturday during the last Democrat debate of the year, Clinton ludicrously blamed Donald Trump for the rise in the recruitment of foreign jihadists.
“We need to make sure that the really discriminatory messages that Trump is sending around the world don’t fall on receptive ears,” Clinton said.

“He is becoming ISIS’s best recruiter. They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists,” added Clinton.
Earlier today Trump, for the second time, asked for an apology “for the lie” Hillary told.

Quote
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
Do you think that Hillary Clinton will apologize to me for the lie she told about "the video" of me being used by ISIS. There is no video.

Despite the emergence of this latest video, the Clinton campaign has yet to retract the erroneous remark.

Evangelist Franklin Graham quits the Republican Party over Planned Parenthood funding

(RNS) Evangelist Franklin Graham has announced he is abandoning the Republican Party in disgust over the move by the GOP-led Congress last week to pass a budget that Graham said was “wasteful” and provided funding for Planned Parenthood, which he compared to the Nazis.

Graham has previously said he has no faith in any political party, but his apparent renunciation of his Republican affiliation is an indication of anger on the right and the strong interest many disaffected evangelicals have shown in populist outsiders like Donald Trump.

Graham himself has expressed admiration for Trump, the surprise frontrunner in the Republican presidential field, and has voiced support for some of Trump’s more controversial positions — such as his call to ban Muslims from the U.S. — which have drawn condemnation from more mainstream evangelical leaders.

[Why Franklin Graham says Donald Trump is right about stopping Muslim immigration]

The federal government provides $528 million in funding for Planned Parenthood — about 40 percent of the organization’s annual budget — primarily through payments to Medicaid for health services for low-income Americans. Federal law prohibits funding of most abortions and Planned Parenthood separates federal taxpayer dollars from those used to provide abortions.

Social conservatives have long fought to strip taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood, and, after the release of a series of undercover videos by anti-abortion activists earlier this year, those calls ramped up to a fever pitch.

Activists said the undercover videos show Planned Parenthood officials negotiating the sale of fetal organs — which they called “baby parts” — for profit to medical researchers; making money off such organs or tissue could be illegal and unethical. Planned Parenthood denied that it was profiting from the sale and said it was quitting the practice.

In the wake of that white-hot controversy, there was wide expectation that with Republicans in control of both the House and Senate Congress would eliminate funding for 2016. Some conservatives in the GOP threatened to shutdown the government if that wasn’t done.

But the shooting massacre at a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood clinic late last month by a lone gunman, Robert Lewis Dear, who proclaimed himself “a warrior for the babies,” seemed to change the calculus and congressional leaders last week reached a deal that averted a shutdown and funds the government through September of next year.

The deal also funds Planned Parenthood at previous levels — a development that has enraged many on the religious right, including Graham, son of the renowned evangelist Billy Graham.

“This is an example of why I have resigned from the Republican Party and declared myself Independent. I have no hope in the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, or Tea Party to do what is best for America,” the younger Graham declared on Facebook on Monday.

“Seeing and hearing Planned Parenthood talk nonchalantly about selling baby parts from aborted fetuses with utter disregard for human life is reminiscent of Joseph Mengele and the Nazi concentration camps!” Graham wrote. “That should’ve been all that was needed to turn off the faucet for their funding.”

Graham drew immediate support on social media but how much sway he carries with voters is debatable.

Billy Graham, who is 97, infirm and largely incommunicado, over the years came to rue his involvement with politics, saying it drew the focus from his evangelism.

But his son has not been hesitant to offer his opinion of politicians and in particular hot-button electoral issues of interest to social conservatives. In fact, in denouncing the Republican Party this week, Graham made a pitch for the prayer rallies he will hold in every state next year, starting in Iowa in January shortly before the crucial first presidential primary.

The rallies, as Graham says, aim to “challenge Christians to live out their faith at home, in public and at the ballot box.”

Graham has said that if more evangelical voters turn out it could prove the difference in national and local elections, a point also made by Republican candidates.

Graham leaving GOP puts key evangelical vote at risk for Republican presidential candidates

The Rev. Franklin Graham quitting the Republican Party poses a significant blow to the GOP’s 2016 White House aspirations, especially if other evangelical pastors follow suit and their millions-plus congregations stay away from the polls.

Graham suggested earlier this week that the last straw was congressional Republicans funding Planned Parenthood in the recently passed, $1.8 trillion tax-and-spending package, despite revelations about the group harvesting fetal tissue.

However, he made clear Wednesday night that the funding was only part of the reason he left the GOP to become an independent.

"It's not just that,” Graham said on Fox News’ “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.” “It's the way the bill was passed. It came down so quickly. And it didn't seem like anybody tried to fight it. It was just, 'Let's get home for Christmas.' "

Graham, the son of evangelical leader Billy Graham, also expressed disappointment with GOP and Democratic leaders but insisted he’s not trying to lead a GOP exodus.

“I'm not here to hurt the Republican Party,” he said, adding that the GOP appears to have “some good candidates” in the 2016 White House race.

Earlier in the day, the Rev. Wilfredo De Jesus, head pastor for the New Life Covenant Church, in Chicago, expressed similar concerns.

“People already know how evangelicals feel about the sanctity of life,” he told FoxNews.com. “That’s a continual fight. But the government spending also speaks to us. That was the disappointment and frustration you heard in brother Graham’s tone.”

De Jesus, popularly known as Pastor Choco, said only time will tell whether other evangelical leaders will follow Graham and potentially take voters with them.

“Many evangelicals are still vetting,” he said. “It’s too early. … But hope is in the kingdom of God, not in the political system.”

While evangelical Christians have long been a key part of the Republican base, their support in the 2016 presidential election cycle appears even more critical as black voters remain overwhelming loyal to Democratic presidential nominees and Hispanics now go to the polls in record numbers for Democrats.

Hispanics, in fact, voted for President Obama over 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney 71 percent to 27 percent, according to an analysis of exit polls by the Pew Research Center.

“We cannot afford to stand on the sidelines as our Christian values are continually trampled,” Jack Graham, pastor of the Prestonwood Baptist Church in Texas, said in October, before a forum with the Faith & Freedom Coalition for 2016 White House candidates.

Graham did not return a request for comment for this story.

White evangelical support for Republican presidential nominees has been largely consistent for at least the past three election cycles, amid assertions that Romney, a Mormon and a moderate, lost in part because millions of evangelical voters stayed on the sidelines.

Some political observers argue at least 3 million Republican voters stayed home, which could have given Romney wins in swing states Florida or Ohio.

However, the Pew analysis shows Romney got 79 percent voter support from white evangelical Protestants, matching George W. Bush in 2004 and exceeding John McCain’s 73 percent in 2008.

The analysis also shows that voting bloc was in 2012 about the same size that it was in the previous two cycles, amid speculation the number was declining.

Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz -- a top-tier GOP presidential candidate courting the evangelical vote -- said in March that roughly half of born-again Christians aren’t voting, which resulted in questions about his methodology.

“They’re staying home,” he said at Liberty University, in Virginia. “Imagine instead millions of people of faith all across America coming out to the polls and voting our values."

Cruz’s campaign did not respond Wednesday for a request for comment. Fellow GOP candidates Carly Fiorina and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul declined though spokespeople who said their respective candidate was spending time with family over the Christmas holidays.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, elected relatively late in this year’s budget process, has vowed to revisit the issue of Planned Parenthood funding when Congress returns next month. But that might be too late for Graham and other evangelicals.

“Republicans always have a reason for not doing something that they say they would,” Bret Bozell, founder of the conservative-leaning Media Research Center, said Wednesday.

He suggested that evangelicals will likely support Cruz and Donald Trump in the primaries but expressed less certainty about the general election.

“Ask John McCain,” he said.

Hillary Fields 'Staged' Question From 9-Year-Old About Gender Pay Gap, Parents Come Under Fire
They took their then 6-year-old twins to an anti-Mitt Romney event.

On Tuesday Hillary Clinton hosted a town hall meeting for supporters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Now, one set of parents in attendance is coming under fire for allegedly coaching their 9-year-old son to ask the Democrat frontrunner a question about gender pay gap.

The boy, Relic Reilly, from Townsend, Massachusetts, asked the former Secretary of State why his mother, a preschool teacher, is not paid better.

In response, Clinton said that she thinks "we still have problems" and that if "you deny those problems, you're denying the fastest way to increase incomes in America."

"My husband talks about that," Relic's mother, Bita, said. "He's an engineer and he says his coworkers, which are female, are not getting paid as much as he is."

But even a rudimentary look at the parents activity on social media reveal a classic left-wing couple who are clearly exploiting their children and indoctrinating them with their own skewed political beliefs.

The Daily Mail located Relic's father's social media accounts which revealed a string of anti-Republican posts including asking whether a Republican member of Congress should be "lynched."

In addition, Relic's mother's Twitter account featured posts about taking the young boy and his twin to an anti-Mitt Romney protest when they were only 6-years-old. The Mail reports:

The Internet buzzed about Hillary Clinton on Tuesday after a New Hampshire town hall meeting, with right-wingers and a few journalists speculating that a 9-year-old boy who asked Clinton a question about gender pay equity might have been coached.

'My mother, over there, is complaining that she does not get much more money than my father,' young Relic Reilly asked the former secretary of state.

'My mother is an engineer, I meant, teacher. My father is the engineer. And I think that my mother is working more harder than my ... I think my mother is working much harder, is working more harder than my father and she deserves to have more money, like, get more money, than my father. Because she's taking care of children and I just don't think it's fair.'

Relic's mother Bita Reilly, according to her LinkedIn profile, is a pre-K teacher at a cooperative preschool on the grounds of the tony Groton School, a co-ed boarding school in Groton, Massachusetts.

She told DailyMail.com via email that she and her son 'talked last night about what we would ask' if Clinton were to call on one of them. But she insisted that 'my son had his own question.'

Clinton's campaign, meanwhile, has yet to comment on the boy's question. If one recalls how children were used to perform pro-Obama songs and chants in videos intended to sway his election, this latest transgression should come as no surprise. Using children as political props is nothing new for Democrats.

Well scratch Rubio off the list...

So Rick Warren is back in the spotlight after several years keeping a low profile? (aside from his son committing suicide a couple of years ago)

For a while, I thought he lost his popularity recently (ie, they made a movie recently, released by Paramount Pictures, over that 2004 story of a young woman who was held captive by an escaped convict, and she used Warren's PDL to "evangelize" him...guess what, that man became a Muslim recently. Surprise! Anyhow, the movie bombed at the box office last year)

GOP Dead-Enders Fight to Stay Anti-Gay
While most people listening to Nikki Haley’s rebuttal to the SOTU heard nothing but a rejection of Trump, gay-marriage advocates heard something very different: progress.

CHARLESTON, South Carolina — The most powerful Republican in South Carolina sent a subtle pro-marriage equality message Tuesday night, and Republicans trying to shift their party’s stance on that issue said Wednesday it was received loud and clear.

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley gave the Republican Party’s official response to President Obama’s final State of the Union speech, and her speech mostly drew attention for it’s just-barely-veiled criticism of Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric.

But those on the far-right may have missed the most quietly consequential part of Haley’s speech. Towards the end of the address, the governor tacitly suggested the Republican Party would change its course on same-sex marriage if it won the White House.

“We would respect differences in modern families,” she said, “but we would also insist on respect for religious liberty as a cornerstone of our democracy.”

On its face, that sentence may sound a little milquetoast—what politician would suggest her party wouldn’t respect families? But conservative operatives pushing for the party to shift its stance on marriage see the comment as a big win. That’s because her specific phrasing is lifted almost verbatim from one group’s proposed re-wording of the Republican Party platform.

The effort is called Platform Reform, and it’s a project of the American Unity Fund, which is backed in part by Republican hedge fund billionaire Paul Singer, a staunch advocate of same-sex marriage who played an outsize role in getting the New York legislature to legalize back in 2011. The platform-reforming campaign aims to make the Republican Party neutral on the issue of same-sex marriage. Currently, the platform explicitly opposes it.

“[W]e believe that marriage, the union of one man and one woman must be upheld as the national standard, a goal to stand for, encourage, and promote through laws governing marriage,” the platform currently reads.

The Platform Reform effort wants that language to say this:

“[W]e encourage and welcome a thoughtful conversation among Republicans about the meaning and importance of marriage, and and commit our Party to respect for all families and fairness and freedom for all Americans.”

Platform Reform operatives said they didn’t think Haley’s word choice was a coincidence.

“I think it’s fantastic, because that’s the exact sort of thing that Republican ideals point towards, strong families, and that’s why we think our platform should be reformed,” said Jerri Ann Henry, the Platform Reform campaign manager. “So I think it’s fantastic that she included that as a top priority in her response.”

Henry added that her group has passed its materials to Haley’s office.

“Pretty much everybody who’s ever been elected with an R by their name has heard from us,” she said.

And Henry said she’s optimistic about their odds.

“It’s gonna happen,” she said.

FOX NEWS STAR CONFRONTS WND ON CRUZ ELIGIBILITY
'Will you be going after' him as you did Obama?

Recalling Jerome Corsi's book challenging President Obama's presidential eligibility, FoxNews.com's Alan Colmes asked the WND senior news writer if he thought Republican candidate Ted Cruz is qualified for the White House in accordance with the Constitution's "natural born" citizen requirement.

In the latest episode of his video feature "Alan Colmes VS," which focuses on controversial current issues, Colmes tackled the eligibility debate sparked by the Republican primary front-runner, Donald Trump, who is neck-and-neck with Cruz in Iowa, according to polls.

Trump has raised doubts about Cruz's eligibility based on the Texas senator's birth in Canada. Cruz and many constitutional scholars contend he is eligible, because, although his father was a citizen of Cuba, his mother was an American citizen.

Asked if he thought Cruz was eligible, Corsi said that according to the "Vattel standard" – outlined in Emmerich Vattel's influential 1758 treatise – Cruz doesn't qualify. Vattel, who Corsi contends was a source for the Founding Fathers, defined "natural born" as having been born on the country's soil to two citizen parents.

But Corsi emphasized that no one can say definitively whether or not Cruz is eligible until the U.S. Supreme Court interprets the term "natural born."

The WND Superstore has the resources you need to understand the critical constitutional issues regarding the qualifications for the person responsible for the nation's security.

Colmes, the left side of the old Fox News "Hannity & Colmes" show, asked Corsi  if he would be "going after Cruz the same way you went after" Obama.

Corsi, the author of the 2011 book "Where's the Birth Certificate," pointed out he already has published a story regarding Cruz's eligibility.

"I want to see the Supreme Court, ultimately, make a determination on this issue and settle it," Corsi said.

In a WND story published Monday, Corsi reported that both Cruz and Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who is also a candidate for the party's nomination, are the subjects of court challenges brought by Democrats regarding their eligibility.

Colmes asked if the issue it still worth debating.

"It's a major issue, Alan, and it's going to continue to be an issue," Corsi said.

"We've got more and more people in the United States who are here through various naturalization and immigration procedures. And the question is, increasingly, [are] foreigners born of foreign parents ... the only ones who are not natural born?"

Wooed by Trump, young US evangelicals face a dilemma
1/21/16

Lynchburg (United States) (AFP) - The young evangelical Christians at Liberty University in Virginia, a coveted voting bloc wooed this week by Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, are facing a bit of a dilemma.

Should they vote as most evangelicals have in the past, for a "pro-life" anti-abortion candidate, or should they embrace a new set of values?

Daniel Timm, a 26-year-old student at the university in Lynchburg, skipped Trump's speech on Monday -- he went to class instead. He says he has yet to make up his mind over which Republican White House hopeful to back.

His Bible in hand, Timm attended Sunday evening services at Grace Presbyterian Church, a red brick building in an industrial area on the outskirts of town.

"The values I appreciate in a candidate are honesty and being pro-life. Those are major things I look for," Timm said after a service attended by some 20 worshippers.

A regular church-goer, Timm says he is torn between backing Trump and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.

"Both Paul and Trump intend to talk about things that other candidates refuse to talk about, like immigration," he said.

"They both professed to be Christian men, and I'll take their words on that," he added, dodging debate on whether Trump -- who misquoted a Bible verse on Monday -- really is a man of faith or just tries to project that image.

In any case, Trump's offensive in this land of evangelical Christians has seen some success.

Many young people on hand Monday said they saw the billionaire real estate tycoon as a man willing to eschew political correctness, even perhaps to try to restore the role of Christianity in multi-faith US society.

Some 11,000 people, most of them young, turned out to hear Trump, who depicted himself as a protector of Christianity.

Paul, who hails from the Tea Party faction of the Republican party, is very popular among young people. Within that demographic, he is even overshadowing Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

The candidates clearly favored by evangelical voters in opinion polls -- Cruz, Paul or Trump -- do not have the same success with young voters.

"If he (Trump) claims to be a Christian or that he truly believes in Christ, it's not very apparent," said 18-year-old student Joschua McMillion, who skipped the Trump rally, instead joining a small group protesting his campus visit.

McMillion, who is African-American, said Democrat Bernie Sanders is the only candidate who has spoken of the Black Lives Matter movement and the racial problems that plague the United States, including police violence against blacks.

"The main (Republican) candidates haven't said anything about this," McMillion said, adding that it was increasingly likely he would vote for Sanders even though he is a Democrat.

"He's my favorite at this point," McMillion said.

Like McMillion, many young evangelicals attach a lot of importance to Christian values. But they are shaking up the hierarchy of priorities, stressing social issues sometimes associated with the political left.

Abortion and same-sex marriage are important issues, said 22-year-old student Meredith Fuller.

"I don't know if I would feel comfortable controlling someone else's choices, so I don't know if I would feel comfortable with someone controlling my choices either," she said.

For now, Fuller says she does not know who she will vote for "because I don't see any of them voicing concern about issues that concern me in particular" such as the fate of "people who are being marginalized by society."

Fuller said her opinions do not represent those of most students at Liberty University. But she is less and less isolated.

Anti-Christian Gay Group Endorses Hillary Clinton for President

The homosexual Human Rights Campaign is endorsing Hillary Clinton for president. The decision was unanimously reached by HRC’s 32-member board of directors. The group praised President Obama for the progress made on the homosexual agenda during his administration, including homosexuals in the military and the imposition of homosexual marriage on the country through the Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision. The $50 million-a-year pressure group seems worried about the coming election. Even though the group claims substantial numbers of Republicans support the gay agenda: “the leading Republican candidates have threatened to halt progress as well as revoke, repeal, and overturn gains made during President Obama’s two terms.” ..

 Roll Eyes

1 Corinthians 4:10  We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
1Co 4:11  Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
1Co 4:12  And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
1Co 4:13  Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
1Co 4:14  I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

TRUMP: If I'm president, 'Christianity will have power' in the US
1/23/16

Billionaire businessman Donald Trump suggested on Saturday that he would have had "less difficulty" if he had proposed barring Christians from entering the US instead of Muslims.
Last December, the Republican presidential front-runner ignited a national firestorm by proposing to suspend all Muslim immigration and tourist travel into the US.

"If I said that about Christians, and if I said 'banned,' I'm telling you I would have had less difficulty," Trump said Saturday. "And that's pretty sad, because we're Christians. I'm Protestant. I'm Presbyterian."

Some of Trump's critics have questioned the sincerity of his faith, noting that the real-estate mogul recently said he doesn't like to ask God for forgiveness.

But Trump unequivocally embraced the evangelical Christian community throughout the start of his Saturday speech in Sioux Center, Iowa.

"I'm a true believer. And you're many true believers — I hope all — is everybody a true believer in this room? I think so. But Christianity is under tremendous siege," Trump told supporters at Dordt College, a Christian liberal-arts school.

The real-estate mogul lamented that Christians do not wield as much political influence in the US as they could.

"The power of our group of people together, I mean, if you add it up ... it could be 240, 250 million. And yet we don't exert the power that we should have. Now, I think some of the churches are afraid of their tax status, to be honest," he said.

"But you know the fact is that there is nothing the politicians can do to you if you band together. You have too much power. But the Christians don't use their power," Trump said. "We have to strengthen. Because we are getting — if you look, it's death by a million cuts — we are getting less and less and less powerful in terms of a religion, and in terms of a force," he continued.

Trump then complained that big department stores do not say "merry Christmas" during the holidays.

"When they don't want to say 'merry Christmas' in department stores anymore. I won't shop at places that don't say 'merry Christmas.' Guess what? I don't too much shopping," he said to applause. "No, no, it's true. When I see these stores, and they have a red wall and they have nothing on it. They don't want to say 'merry Christmas' anymore. I say, 'Why don't you say merry Christmas?'"

Trump vowed to change the department-store situation when it comes to wishing people "merry Christmas."

"I'll tell you one thing: I get elected president, we're going to be saying 'merry Christmas' again. Just remember that," he said. "And by the way, Christianity will have power, without having to form."

He added: "Because if I'm there, you're going to have plenty of power. You don't need anybody else. You're going to have somebody representing you very, very well. Remember that."

Trump and Fox at war: Neither side is backing down
 Cheesy

One day after publicly duking it out, Donald Trump and Fox News have retreated to their corners. And now everyone's wondering what will happen on Thursday night.

Trump says he will skip Fox's debate and hold a "special event" to raise money for veterans. The event at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, will start right at 9 p.m. Eastern, the same time as the debate, creating a high-stakes ratings competition straight out of a network executive's dream.

Fox has removed Trump's photo from its debate promos. The network is staunchly defending its host, Trump's nemesis Megyn Kelly, who will co-moderate on Thursday.

Still, Trump will be making an appearance on the network on Wednesday night: A pre-taped interview with Bill O'Reilly will air on "The O'Reilly Factor," at 8 p.m. Kelly's show follows at 9 p.m.

Trump essentially called Kelly a "bimbo" on Wednesday morning in a backhanded tweet that: "I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!"

FOX News' whole "fair and balanced" nonsense was a scam to begin with - they tried to fool everyone into thinking how they were doing good by bringing in an "equal" number of "conservatives" and "liberals".

Guess what - these liberal puppets on their did just that...PUSH liberalism agendas! Juan Williams? Anyone?

Fair and balanced news coverage is OBJECTIVE news coverage, NOT subjective views by anyone!

With that being said, I wonder what the next MSM flavour du jour network will be when FOX goes down.

“To God be the Glory”, Says Ted Cruz After Sweeping Trump in Iowa Caucus

The surprising results of Monday’s Iowa caucuses are in, and Senator Ted Cruz is the clear Republican winner, upsetting Donald Trump’s frontrunner status in the race for the GOP presidential nomination. “To God be the glory!” Cruz cried to a crowd of his supporters after winning 27.7 percent of the vote. “Tonight is a victory for courageous conservatives across Iowa and all across this great nation.”

Ted "the Penguin" Cruz, gave glory to God as him ans his people were spreading lies during the caucus.

First on CNN: Ted Cruz apologizes to Ben Carson

Republican Ben Carson Tuesday called for the firing of a Ted Cruz campaign staffer who said the retired neurosurgeon was planning to drop out.

"I think whoever is responsible for blatant lying should be dismissed, absolutely. Unless that kind of behavior is acceptable in your campaign culture," Carson told CNN's Jake Tapper on "The Lead."

One day after winning the Iowa caucuses, Cruz issued an apology to Carson after his staff falsely told Iowa caucusgoers that Carson planned to quit the race, calling it a "mistake."

Republican Cruz apologizes for email implying Carson might exit race

U.S. Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz apologized to Ben Carson on Tuesday over an email his campaign sent on Monday night that implied Carson was about to drop out of the race and that his Iowa backers should be urged to vote for Cruz instead.

A staffer for Cruz sent the email after rumors began circulating that Carson would return to Florida following Iowa's caucuses on Monday rather than go straight to New Hampshire or South Carolina, other early voting states in the state-by-state nominating contests for the Nov. 8 election.

"The press is reporting that Dr. Ben Carson is taking time off from the campaign trail after Iowa and making a big announcement next week," the email read, according to CNN.

"Please inform any Carson caucusgoers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted Cruz."

Carson said he was simply leaving Iowa to avoid a winter storm and to get fresh clothes before continuing his campaign on Wednesday.

The retired neurosurgeon, who said his fourth-place performance in Iowa would have been better had the email never been sent, criticized the move as "a dirty trick" and said the Cruz campaign should face some kind of consequences.

"What this does is makes me more determined than ever to try to save our country," Carson said on Fox News on Tuesday.

In an apology released on Tuesday afternoon, Cruz, who won the Iowa Republican caucuses, categorized the email as a regular update the campaign would send to grassroots leaders. But the U.S. senator from Texas acknowledged another email should have been sent once Carson clarified he was not dropping out.

"This was a mistake from our end, and for that I apologize to Dr. Carson," Cruz wrote.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said he would not interfere in the situation.

"You take them at their word for it, and you move on to the next state," he said on CNN.

The question remains whether the dispute will hurt Cruz, a favorite of conservative evangelicals looking to win over Carson supporters should Carson drop out.

Dartmouth University political scientist Linda Fowler said it could hurt Cruz if other candidates start to pick up on the interaction and say: "There's a reason why nobody likes Ted Cruz, and here it is."

Ted Cruz is nothing but a crook and a phony also.
