The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. August was Donald Trump's soap opera time, now it's Hillary's turn!

Quote
There is even talk that if Hillary Clinton withdrew close enough to election day that it could cause Barack Obama to suspend or postpone the election until a “fair” election could be held.

I was thinking the same thing too. They said the same thing when there were Trump assassination rumors.

It's all a puppet show...

http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/12/politics/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-transparency/index.html
9/12/16
The no-transparency election

(CNN)The 2016 election is setting new lows for presidential transparency in the modern era.

Hillary Clinton is under fire for waiting until she nearly collapsed at a public event Sunday to disclose she was diagnosed Friday with pneumonia. She hasn't provided a full accounting of her health, though Donald Trump has revealed far less. The Republican nominee is departing with decades of tradition by not releasing his tax returns, which could provide key details about his investments and financial interests. And both candidates have declined traveling with a "protective pool" of reporters that follow them to provide continuous coverage of their activities.

On Monday night, transparency questions surfaced again as PBS interviewer Charlie Rose grilled former President Bill Clinton about his family's foundation.

In other words, Trump and Clinton have less than two months to close the sale, but most voters aren't sure exactly what they're buying.
Few candidates relish throwing open their most intimate health and financial secrets. But the issue is particularly acute this year given Trump's decades of business dealings. And, of course, Trump, 70, and Clinton, 68, would be the oldest and second oldest presidents inaugurated for a first term in a job that comes with intense physical and mental demands -- making their health a highly relevant issue.
When asked by CNN's Anderson Cooper Monday why she kept her pneumonia diagnosis secret, Clinton said she "just didn't think it was going to be that big a deal."

"It's just the kind of thing that if it happens to you and you're a busy active person, you keep moving forward," she said. "I think it's fair to say, Anderson, that people know more about me than almost anyone in public life. They've got 40 years of my tax returns, tens of thousands of emails, a detailed medical letter report, all kinds of personal details."

Trump Spokeswoman Unloads on David Duke 'Controversy'

Donald Trump's national spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson, held her own against CNN's Jake Tapper in a recent interview. (Video Screenshot Image)

With Hillary Clinton's pneumonia diagnosis keeping her sidelined, CNN decided to take on the role of campaign surrogate this week with an attempted public grilling of Donald Trump's national spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson.

Appearing on The Lead, host Jake Tapper began asking about David Duke, a white supremacist and former KKK member who has declared his support for Trump. Based on the question, it would appear Tapper was attempting to defend Clinton's use of the word "deplorable" to describe Trump supporters.

"The campaign said they do not want his support or the support of people who think like him. Why not call him deplorable?" Tapper asked. "The critics say that not doing so makes it look as though the Trump campaign is trying to not offend white supremacists and nationalists."

Pierson immediately pointed out that Trump had denounced Duke on a number of occasions, and that when CNN asked about Duke's comments several weeks ago, Trump "shut it down immediately." Then, she dropped a whole bag of dimes on the mainstream media—and, specifically, CNN.

"The only reason David Duke even has a platform is because CNN keeps talking about it," she said. "Let me agree with something Tim Kaine said in that package there about if you ignore something it grows and gets worse. That's absolutely right. That's exactly why we have ISIS today. For Hillary Clinton to call half of the people of this country deplorable, that's absolutely disqualifying her. It wasn't half of Trump's supporters, she actually went after all of Trump's supporters by saying half are all those terrible names — racist and sexist, homophobic, and the other half were just desperate. She has essentially called out 100 percent of Trump's supporters. But I will say this is typical of the elite politicians and if you don't agree with them, somehow you're a deplorable person and that's what Hillary Clinton thinks of half of America."

Tapper, now on the defensive, claimed Clinton had "backed off the word 'half.'" He asserted that Trump and GOP vice presidential nominee Indiana Gov. Mike Pence had picked up the support of white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and other racists, naming off David Duke, James Edwards and the website TheDailyStormer that caters to neo-Nazis.

Pierson countered that the Trump campaign can't control what other people do. And said she was more uncomfortable with Seddique Mateen — the father of Orlando nightclub mass murder Omar Mateen — appearing at one of Clinton's campaign events and openly and enthusiastically supporting her campaign.

"[But] people who want to control illegal immigration are labeled racists and bigots. People who want to stop ISIS from coming into their communities are called Islamophobic," she said. "These are hard-working American citizens and I know Hillary Clinton and a lot of her friends don't live in a border state, their children go to private schools and they don't have to live with the impact of illegal immigration like many of us in border states do. But to insult them based on insinuation is absolutely absurd.

"We can turn around and say look at people supporting Hillary Clinton, burning the American flag, defacing public property, violently protesting, calling for cops to be murdered in the streets."

Tapper then turned his attention to Republican criticism of Trump, quoting U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, who said the Trump-Pence campaign "must identify David Duke's racism as deplorable" and should be "explicit in its denunciation of the alt-right movement." Pierson pointed out that Lee was also a #NeverTrumper who "has never had anything nice to say about Mr. Trump."

"Really, this entire interview and all of these interviews based around this one word — deplorable — is simply because the Trump campaign is not going to use Hillary Clinton's terminology," she said. "That's what we're talking about here. The campaign has disavowed — Mr. Trump as well as Mike Pence said we do not like the support nor want the support of individuals like this. But we can't control them."

Tapper "broke out the thesaurus" to find a different terminology, and asked if Trump thought David Duke was "vile."

"Absolutely, and that's exactly why the campaign wants nothing to do with him," she said. "We have said that a number of times on a number of networks. And the only reason why David Duke gets play is because the media keeps him out there, not the Trump campaign."

Donald Trump Reportedly Told Peter Thiel He Would Nominate Him To The Supreme Court If Elected

Silicon Valley entrepreneur Peter Thiel is currently famous for two reasons. First, he’s partially responsible for the dissolution of Gawker Media and its flagship website, Gawker.com. And second? He happens to be a gay Libertarian who supports Republican nominee Donald Trump’s bid for the White House. As of this morning, however, Thiel’s name is now famous for a third reason — one with important connections to his vocal (and financial) support of Trump, and former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s still-vacant seat.

Yes, that’s right. Thiel is Trump’s top choice for the ninth seat on the Supreme Court of the United States if the general election goes his way. Or at least that’s according to Thiel himself, whose private boasting was relayed to the Huffington Post by two anonymous sources — one with “close to the PayPal co-founder” who claims “Thiel has told friends” all about the Donald’s intention to nominate him, and another “close to Trump” who suggests the Republican nominee “deeply loves Peter Thiel” and often talks about the potential nomination.

Then again, that second source “has not spoken to Trump directly about Thiel being nominated to the court,” and reminded the Huffington Post that “Trump’s offers often fail to materialize in real life.” As for an official comment from either Trump or Thiel themselves, no such thing has happened yet. However, Trump campaign spokesperson Hope Hicks told the outlet in no uncertain terms, “There is absolutely no truth to this whatsoever.” Thiel’s own official spokeperson, Jeremiah Hall, reiterated his counterpart’s sentiment: “Peter hasn’t had any conversations about a Supreme Court nomination and has no interest in the job.”

Venture capitalism and hedge-fund managing notwithstanding, Thiel graduated from Stanford Law School with a J.D. in 1992 and clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Yet his law career quickly transformed into derivatives trading, which earned him a great deal of money in the mid ’90s. So yes, Thiel would be the richest Supreme Court nominee in the branch’s history, and he does possess some law experience.

BREAKING: Virginia Supreme Court slaps down Republicans’ attempt to block ex-felons from voting
9/15/16

The Virginia Supreme Court rejected a petition from Republican leaders on Thursday that sought to hold Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) in contempt for restoring the voting rights of tens of thousands of ex-offenders ahead of the 2016 election. McAuliffe attempted to automatically restore the rights of all 200,000 former felons in the state with an executive order back in April — bringing the state in line with nearly 40 others across the country that allow people to become full citizens again after serving their sentences. But the state’s Republican leaders sued, claiming the governor had overstepped his legal authority.

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin says bloodshed may be needed to protect conservatism

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin said conservatives may need to turn to physical violence in order to protect the United States against contemporary liberalism.

The Republican governor put forth the controversial suggestion after speaking of the “degradation of society” during an impassioned, 15-minute speech at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C., on Saturday. The provocative comments started to gain national attention at the start of this week.

“America is worth fighting for ideologically. I want us to be able to fight ideologically, mentally, spiritually, economically, so that we don’t have to do it physically. But that may, in fact, be the case,” he told the crowd.

Bevin suggested that if Democrat Hillary Clinton were elected president, she would set the nation on a dangerous course that might require bloodshed to correct. He told the audience that the “candle” of liberty might go out “on our watch.”

To hammer home his point, he paraphrased a famous quote from Founding Father Thomas Jefferson: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

“Whose blood will be shed? It may be that of those in this room. It might be that of our children and grandchildren. I have nine children,” he said. “It breaks my heart to think that it might be their blood that is needed to redeem something, to reclaim something that we, through our apathy and our indifference, have given away. Don’t let it happen.”

Bevin encouraged young conservatives to speak up, be bold, sound the alarm and wake up others. He told the conference attendees to not keep what they’ve learned from speakers and their books to themselves.

According to Bevin, too many people these days are following the example of former British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, who infamously tried to appease Adolf Hitler and promised “peace for our time,” as opposed to his successor, Winston Churchill, who is widely celebrated for understanding and combating the threat of Nazism.

He said liberals mock conservatives into silence by accusing them of being intolerant when they speak their minds. He lamented, for instance, that many conservatives have remained silent concerning “the atrocity of abortion.”

“It’s a slippery slope. First we’re killing children. Then it’s ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ Now it’s this gender-bending kind of ‘don’t ask, don’t be a bigot, don’t be unreasonable, don’t be unenlightened, heaven forbid, just keep your mouth shut.’”

On Friday, at a banquet in Washington, D.C., Bevin was awarded the Distinguished Christian Statesman Award from the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship, a ministry of Evangelism Explosion International.

Bevin’s office has not responded to a request for comment from Yahoo News, but he did post a statement on Twitter encouraging people to listen to his comments in their entirety. He suggested that the mention of bloodshed in his remarks was a reference to military sacrifice and that “any intelligent person will easily understand the message” if they listen to the speech.

Exclusive: Hillary Clinton Campaign Systematically Overcharging Poorest Donors
Wells Fargo fraud department inundated with calls from low-income Clinton supporters reporting repeated unauthorized charges

A Clinton stealing cash, say it isn't so!  Cheesy

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is stealing from her poorest supporters by purposefully and repeatedly overcharging them after they make what’s supposed to be a one-time small donation through her official campaign website, multiple sources tell the Observer.

Hypocrisy Alert: Mexico Wants to Build Wall to Keep Out Central American Illegals

"Many of these migrants turn to robberies, kidnappings, extortion, and join the ranks of organized crime."

Apparently when it comes to keeping illegal immigrants out of its own country, Mexico is taking a page from Donald Trump's playbook and building a wall to keep out illegal immigrants along its southern border with Central America.

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto may resent Trump's plan, but according to the UK Daily Mail, many Mexicans praise the idea of a southern border wall. They are desperate to keep out "hordes" of Guatemalans, Salvadorans and Hondurans who are fleeing violence in their own countries and are on their way to the United States -- and then simply deported back to Mexico rather than to their home countries by the U.S. "Trump's idea of a border wall is a good one but it should be on the southern border with Central America in order to stop the flow of Central Americans from entering both countries," the board of the El Mañana paper wrote in July.

El Mañana also called for proper immigration checkpoints on the southern border, and criticized Hillary Clinton for failing to deal with the issue of border security.

The UN estimates 400,000 Central Americans cross illegally into Mexico each year. As many as half are fleeing violence and gangs in their home countries yet most immigrants are eventually deported back home. Mexico deported 175,000 Central Americans last year - a 68 per cent increase from 2014. "Many of these migrants when they are unable to find an honest way of life turn to robberies, kidnappings, extortion, and in the worst cases join the ranks of organized crime," El Mañana's piece claimed. Migrants committing crimes? Shocking!

'Mexico has become a wall for migrants,' said Sister Magdalena Silva, coordinator of Cafemin, a privately run shelter for refugees in Mexico City. "The current policy is to arrest migrants to stop them from getting to the US border."

So Mexico has concluded that a wall is the answer to border security. What an original concept.

OMG! Bombs in NYC and Hillary Clinton Looks Like She’s Going to Pass out on Plane Talking to Reporters (VIDEO)

A bomb injured over two dozen New Yorkers tonight in the Chelsea District.
Another explosive device in the form of a pressure cooker was discovered by police blocks away.

Hillary Clinton spoke to reporters on her plane and looked like she was going to pass out.
Get this poor woman home to bed!

At least she didn’t blame it on a YouTube video!

Hillary delivered one speech today to the Black Caucus members in Washington DC.
Donald Trump held four events in three states: Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado.

And the media is downplaying the blast to protect Hillary.

Hillary Clinton: CHRISTIANS IN AMERICA Must ABANDON FAITH IN CHRIST, Adhere To NEW LIBERAL LAWS

Hilary Clinton just said that Christians must deny their Faith through the enforcement of laws, by stating that the Christian belief in being pro-life, and anti-abortion, must change, and that this should be done through laws and “political will.” If Christians must change Christian teachings in regards to abortion, then what Hilary Clinton is essentially saying is that Christians must deny their Faith. Hillary Clinton, speaking at the Women in the World Summit on April 23, made the statement:

Far too many women are denied access to reproductive health care and safe childbirth, and laws don’t count for much if they’re not enforced. Rights have to exist in practice — not just on paper. Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.

Notice that she says that the change of Christian beliefs is the “unfinished business of the 21st century,” which means she wants to persecute Christians.

God willing, Donald Trump will vanquish this witch in the elections.

The most horrific persecution of Christians is happening right now. Christians are being killed and tortured in the most demonic and cruel ways you can imagine, and its happening in Mexico. Hundreds of thousands of people slaughtered, countless innocents forced under the yoke of the most horrific and sinister tyranny. But there is hope, for tens of thousands of Christians are raising arms and fighting back.

Here is the video:

Obama Blames Conservative Media’s ‘Misinformation’ for Close Presidential Election

President Barack Obama says the campaign between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump wouldn’t even be close were it not for conservative media espousing “misinformation.”

Obama made the comment during a Democratic fundraiser attended by about 65 donors in New York City on Sunday, CNN reported.

“This should not be a close election, but it will be. And the reason it will be is not because of Hillary’s flaws, but rather because, structurally, we’ve become a very polarized society,” Obama said.

“If all you’re doing is watching Fox News and listening to Rush Limbaugh and reading some of the blogs that are churning out a lot of misinformation on a regular basis, then it’s very hard for you to think that you’re going to vote for somebody who you’ve been told is taking the country in the wrong direction,” the president continued, adding that it’s “going to be hard to overcome” such structural divisions.

It wasn’t the first time Obama has blamed the media for the increasingly polarized state of the country.

“The problem is that when we get our politics, a lot of it has to do with the fact that our media is now splintered, some people are just watching Fox News, some people are just reading the New York Times, so they don’t even start with a common baseline of facts,” Obama said in January.

“They almost occupy two different realities in how they see the world,” the president added.

Got this off of my G+ today...

Yeah, that's how SUBTLE AND CRAFTY Satan and his minions are!

Rev 12:9  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Deut 13:1  If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
Deu 13:2  And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
Deu 13:3  Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deu 13:4  Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Cruz: “If Something Happens To Hillary, I Agree To Run As A Democrat Against Trump”

Ted Cruz has left a meeting with Mike Pence without saying whether he will endorse or even vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The Texas Republican senator and onetime rival of Trump’s has refused to endorse the billionaire. Cruz met privately with Pence in Washington and attended a lunch with the Indiana governor and a number of other Republican senators.

Cruz says he had a “good and productive conversation” and a “very good meeting.” He calls Pence a “good man, a friend” and a “strong conservative.”

However, according to a source who attended the meeting, Cruz refused to endorse Trump and, instead, threw a bombshell that left most of the Republican attendees speechless: Ted Cruz plans to run against Donald Trump after all.

Truth be told, he didn’t vow to do it, he merely suggested the possibility. And according to the source, the only way that would ever be possible is if it turns out the rumors are true and Hillary Clinton is prevented form running against Trump on account of her deteriorating health.

Are you sure that isn't a satirical article? Switching parties makes very little sense (especially considering the DNC would never stand for it), and the Ted Cruz monologue sounds like someone literally wrote it.

I don't buy it, personally.

Major Ohio paper endorses Clinton after years of backing GOP

Washington (CNN)The Cincinnati Enquirer, one of Ohio's largest newspapers, is backing Hillary Clinton after supporting Republican presidential candidates for nearly a century.

"The Enquirer has supported Republicans for president for almost a century -- a tradition this editorial board doesn't take lightly. But this is not a traditional race, and these are not traditional times," the editorial board of the Enquirer published Friday. "Our country needs calm, thoughtful leadership to deal with the challenges we face at home and abroad. We need a leader who will bring out the best in all Americans, not the worst."

"That's why there is only one choice when we elect a president in November: Hillary Clinton," the editorial reads.

The Gannett publication announced its endorsement in advance of the first presidential debate between the two nominees. Ohio is a battleground state that both candidates have increasingly worked harder to win.

The paper said Clinton was a "competent" secretary of state who made "mistakes" in Benghazi that were "tragic" but called Republicans' assessment of her actions a "diabolical conspiracy."

"Clinton, meanwhile, was a competent secretary of state, with far stronger diplomatic skills than she gets credit for. Yes, mistakes were made in Benghazi, and it was tragic that four Americans lost their lives in the 2012 terror attacks on the US consulate there," it wrote. "But the incident was never the diabolical conspiracy that Republicans wanted us to believe, and Clinton was absolved of blame after lengthy investigations."

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is more interested in his self that the country, the paper concludes.

"Trump brands himself as an outsider untainted by special interests, but we see a man utterly corrupted by self-interest. His narcissistic bid for the presidency is more about making himself great than America," the board said. "Trump tears our country and many of its people down with his words so that he can build himself up. What else are we left to believe about a man who tells the American public that he alone can fix what ails us?"
While the editorial board are sympathetic to voters interest in the change that Trump could bring, the Enquirer concludes that not all change is good.
"Our country needs to seek thoughtful change, not just change for the sake of change. Four years is plenty of time to do enough damage that it could take America years to recover from, if at all," it wrote.

Arizona Republic endorses Clinton for president, first time ever backing a Democrat

Washington (CNN)The Arizona Republic, the state's largest newspaper, has never endorsed a Democrat for president -- until now.
In an op-ed published to its website Tuesday, the editorial board backed Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump for president.

"The 2016 Republican candidate is not conservative and he is not qualified," the editorial board wrote.

In the op-ed, the newspaper's editorial board breaks down why they believe that Clinton is more qualified than Trump -- specifically that the Democratic nominee has better temperament and experience, has a record of public service, and has withstood "decades of scrutiny."

The Arizona Republic joins other major papers with conservative editorial boards in endorsing Clinton or declining to endorse Trump. The Cincinnati Enquirer and Dallas Morning News are two other notable examples, with the Enquirer endorsing a Democrat for the first time in 100 years. The New Hampshire Union Leader, for the first time in 100 years, did not back Republican nominee Trump, opting instead to endorse Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson.

The Arizona Republic endorsement said that Clinton, unlike Trump, for all of her mistakes and flaws, and has more experience with foreign policy than Trump does.

And specifically for Arizona -- a state with a significant Latino population -- the newspaper said Trump wouldn't be able to "broker solutions" like Clinton.

The paper cites a recent poll that shows Arizonians oppose both a border wall and deportations as solutions for illegal immigration.

The newspaper editorial board also cited what it called Trump's frequent disrespect toward other people as reasons to oppose him. Including his mocking of a reporter's physical disability, his public feud with a Gold Star family, and his proposal to ban Muslim immigrants from entering the United States.

The newspaper said that Trump is a candidate who can't control his words, unlike Clinton. And it writes that Clinton "can reach out to those who feel left behind. She can make it clear that America sees them and will address their concerns."

The Dallas Morning News endorsed a Dem candidate for the first time since pre-WW2 (Hillary), I don't believe it got any cancellation subs and death threats.

One Day After Endorsing Hillary Clinton, Arizona Newspaper Receives Death Threats

By Sarah Jones on Wed, Sep 28th, 2016 at 7:03 pm

Trump supporters are at it again. Just a day after The Arizona Republic paper endorsed its first ever Democrat for President, the paper has received death threats and countless cancellations.

Trump supporters are at it again.

Just a day after The Arizona Republic paper endorsed its first ever Democrat for President, the paper has received death threats and countless cancellations.

“The Arizona Republic says it has received death threats and countless subscription cancelations over its endorsement of Hillary Clinton — the first time in the paper’s 126 year history it has ever supported a Democrat for president,” local 12News reported.

Phil Boas, director of the Arizona Republic’s editorial page said it had been crazy around there but it should have been expected as the paper had been giving Trump scathing coverage. He added, “We’re getting a lot of reaction both locally and national. I don’t believe true readers of the editorial page are surprised by this at all, because over the past year we have been writing scathing, scalding articles about Donald Trump.”

Boas explained, “The things he has done, making fun of disabled people and rolling back press freedoms. You know a guy who would do that and crush our freedoms in one area will do it in others as well.”

Conservative Newspapers Breaking Tradition to Abandon Trump

A growing number of conservative newspaper editorial boards are breaking long-standing traditions and endorsing Democrat Hillary Clinton, Libertarian Gary Johnson, or no one at all.

The Detroit News on Thursday backed Johnson, marking the first time in the newspaper's 143-year history its' editorial board did not endorse a Republican.

"We abandon that long and estimable tradition this year for one reason: Donald J. Trump," the paper wrote.

Trump's candidacy has put conservative editorial boards in the same position many Republican lawmakers and voters also find themselves. They are forced to choose between a GOP presidential nominee whose unpalatable temperament and lack of policy specifics are disqualifying for a potential commander-in-chief, a flawed Democratic alternative, or a third-party option with little chance of winning.

On Tuesday, the Arizona Republic -- for the first time since the publication began in 1890 -- backed the Democratic presidential candidate over the Republican.

"Despite her flaws, Clinton is the superior choice," the paper wrote. "She does not casually say things that embolden our adversaries and frighten our allies. Her approach to governance is mature, confident and rational."

The Cincinnati Enquirer, Dallas Morning News, and Houston Chronicle also broke with their longstanding traditions and supported the former secretary of state.

The Arizona Republic received death threats and cancellations after the announcement. The Dallas Morning News also paid a financial price, despite staffers attempts to engage furious readers.

In its 120-year history, @azcentral has never endorsed a Democrat.

Here's why the paper just endorsed Hillary: https://t.co/n3GOmEin4N
    — Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) September 28, 2016

Other Republican-leaning editorial boards like the Richmond Times-Dispatch and New Hampshire Union Leader threw their clout behind Johnson.

"He's a man of good integrity, apparently normal ego and sound ideas. Sadly, in the 2016 presidential contest, those essential qualities make him an anomaly," the Times-Dispatch wrote earlier this year.

Just how much influence newspapers have over voters is difficult to measure. But new media and declining circulation has drastically changed how information is consumed.

During the Republican primary battle, Ohio Gov. John Kasich received dozens of endorsements but won only his home state of Ohio. Trump received only a handful of endorsements and ran away with the Republican nomination.

It's why more newspapers might end up going the route The Tulsa World News did when they endorsed no one.

"Never before have we so firmly believed that each of us has to find the answers for ourselves. We encourage every voter to identify what is important to them and their families," they wrote. "Only then can each voter determine who they believe is the best choice in this presidential election."

Meanwhile, USA Today's editorial board took an unprecedented step in its 34-year history Thursday by declaring sides in a presidential race. The paper's headline deemed Donald Trump "unfit for the presidency" by unanimous consent of its Editorial Board Thursday, before going on to list examples they feel disqualify the Republican nominee for office.

"Our bottom-line advice for voters is this: Stay true to your convictions," the board wrote. "Whatever you do, however, resist the siren song of a dangerous demagogue. By all means vote, just not for Donald Trump."

Weld (Libertarian) 'not sure anybody is more qualified than Hillary Clinton' to be president

Washington (CNN) — Libertarian vice presidential hopeful Bill Weld said Friday that he's "not sure anybody is more qualified than Hillary Clinton to be president of the United States," the latest misstep in what's been a painful week for the third-party ticket.

Weld's praise of the Democratic presidential nominee was made in an interview with MSNBC's Chuck Todd. He quickly added: "I mean, that's not the end of the inquiry, though. We were two-term governors and I think Gary is very, very solid. At this point, we overlapped as governors and I thought highly of him back when we served together, but having spent the last several months (together), I don't just like the guy, I love the guy. I think he is very solid and deep."

Wary of Election Hacks, U.S. Urges States to Get Security Help

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton called for unity and action to bridge the divide between minority communities and those who police them as she visited Charlotte, the North Carolina city rocked by riots following the recent killing of a black man by a police officer.

"There are some out there who see this as a moment to fan the flames of resentment and division, who want to exploit peoples’ fears even though it means tearing our nation even further apart," Clinton said on Sunday. "They say that all of our problems would be solves simply by more law and order as if the systemic racism plaguing our country doesn’t exist.'

She didn't mention her opponent, Republican Donald Trump, as she spoke at Little Rock AME Zion Church, a historically black congregation blocks from the epicenter of protests following the fatal shooting of Keith Lamont Scott, 43, on Sept. 20. Trump has called for a focus on law and order.

"It has been 12 days since Mr. Scott was shot and killed. Twelve days since his wife, Rakeyia Scott, watched her husband die, and seven children lost their father,"said Clinton. "We don't yet know all the details about the shooting, but we do know this community and this family is in pain."

Clinton advocated for both black and blue, arguing that safe neighborhoods and freedom for black Americans are not mutually exclusive.

"Of course we need safe neighborhoods, no one is against that. Of course we need communities that are free from the epidemic of gun violence. Of course we need that," she said. "But we also need justice and dignity and equality. And we can have both. This is not an either or question for America. I want us to commit ourselves to this common vision."

Clinton has made criminal justice and civil rights issues a core of her campaign.  Her first policy speech as a presidential candidate, in April 2015, came in the aftermath of the killing of Freddie Gray, 25, in Baltimore as she called for the rebalancing of a criminal justice system that she said has become misaligned.  Since then, she's spoken out after several major clashes between police and the communities they serve, some that have left civilians dead and others, as in Dallas and Baton Rouge, in which police died.

“It’s been a hard year, hasn’t it?" Clinton asked church-goers. "Think about how many times President Obama has had to console our nation about another senseless tragedy, another shattered family, another distressed community.”

Clinton was joined by Representative Alma Adams (D-NC) and Zianna Oliphant, a nine-year-old who spoke this week to the Charlotte City Council about her fears as a young African American. Clinton said that reading Oliphant's words brought tears to her eyes and brought into focus the challenges at hand. "Our entire country should take a moment to really look at what’s going on here and across America. To imagine what see on the news and what we hear about, imagine it through our children's eyes," she said.

"Every child deserves the same sense of security, every child deserves the same hope. They should not be facing fear. They should be learning and growing," said Clinton, who emphasized her role as grandmother to daughter Chelsea's two children.

"Like every grandmother I worry about the safety and security. But my worries are not the same as black grandmothers who have different and deeper fears about the world that their grandchildren face," she said.

Clinton postponed a planned Sept. 25 visit to Charlotte after mayor, Jennifer Roberts, a Democrat, said during that Clinton and Trump, who had planned to be in the city on Sept. 27, should wait to visit until the city was “back to more of a state of normalcy.”

On Sept. 23, Scott’s wife released her cell phone video of the incident, which includes audio of her shouting “don’t shoot him” and saying that he didn’t have a gun. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department released some of its video footage last week and said Friday that it will release all its dashboard and body camera footage after the Scott family views it in the coming days.

After the fatal shootings of Scott and another black man, Terence Crutcher, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in September Clinton said the situation was “unbearable and it needs to become intolerable."

Clinton was last in Charlotte in early September for a fundraiser and a rally at historically black Johnson C. Smith University. North Carolina is key battleground for Clinton and Trump, and recent polls indicate the contest is essentially a tie.

I chuckled when I heard she "teared up" probably all fake.

Maybe this national reserve guard that will encompass the millennials she spoke about will ensure racial equality.

George W. Bush's daughter attends Clinton fundraiser in Paris

White Plains, New York (CNN) — Barbara Bush, a daughter of former President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush, attended a Hillary Clinton fundraiser in Paris Saturday night, according a source familiar with the event.

Bush posed for a picture with Huma Abedin, the longtime Clinton aide who was hosting the fundraiser with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

The photo was then posted by multiple event attendees, including Lauren Santo Domingo, co-founder of the online fashion website Moda Operandi, who included the hashtag "#imwithher."
