The world’s first ‘Blood Rave’ is to be held in Amsterdam on Halloween

A rave scheduled to take place on Halloween in Amsterdam is planning to shower clubbers with sprinklers filled with gallons of blood. The secretive event, posted on Facebook, does not specify whether the blood will be real or synthetic, but is said to be inspired by the graphic opening scene from the horror film Blade.

Unsurprisingly the organisers of the graphic event are remaining anonymous, and have even listed the place of the event as ‘a discrete location in Amsterdam.’  According to the event page, Blood Rave is a nightlife community for like-minded individuals, with the rave description ending with the question, ‘thirsty?‘

The event has attracted a great deal of attention. with over 4,100 currently attending, according to the page. But some have misgivings about what kind of blood will be used for the deluge. One user posted on the event: ‘What kind of blood will you use? Pig or cow? Because pig might be a problem for several kinds of people (religious/cultural reasons).’

According to the NL Times, which claims to have spoken to the event organisers, what will be showered on clubbers is still being decided.
‘After a long search we have developed a special sprinkler system with pipes running across the ceiling and thus making us able to spray blood over the crowd,’ the newspaper was told.

‘We’ve already tested it a number of times with a substance resembling blood. It is pushing the borders, but we want to see how far we can go.’ Some have voiced their misgivings about the controversial theme. One said: ‘I don’t want to be ‘that guy’ but this has disaster written all over it.’

The event has links to an opening scene from the 1998 vampire film Blade, where blood pours from the ceiling in a club.  Tickets are currently listed at €24.50 (£17.93). source

Noticed they've been advertising and marketing Halloween several weeks before its 10/31 date in recent years.(and not just in the month of Oct alone anymore)

As recent as over 10 years ago, even these Freemasonic-infiltrated SBC churches didn't celebrate this pagan holiday(ie-I remember going to church services on Sunday nights when the 31st fell on this day) - now? Pretty much they all do.(ie-they repackage it and call it "trunk or treat")

Terminal 5 was beset with hundreds of would-be vampires Friday night for a classic Blood Rave—inspired by Wesley Snipes' 1998 film Blade.

Put on by BBQ Films and tied to the weekend-long ruckus that is NYC Comic Con, the Blood Rave featured a live action performance of scenes from the film, with ticket-buyers encouraged to dress the part of hemoglobin-craving vampires. Also adding to the ambiance was electronic music legends The Crystal Method, who headlined the evening.

But the star attractions were Blade... and all the (fake) blood. Just before midnight, a squadron of technicians suited up with body-mounted sprayers surrounded the crowd and, on cue, soaked the writhing masses with synthetic blood. No leather corset or bare tattooed back was spared as the ravers seethed with fanged glee beneath the crimson rain. For a few hours, it was truly weird and wonderful to see a sea of giddy daywalkers living out fantasy bloodlust

When asked what it was he loved about Blade so much, one happy raver screamed “He fears nothing!” Numerous faux-gore-soaked attendees told Gothamist that they had seen the film and its sequels over a hundred times

“It’s the greatest Marvel movie ever made,” Jean Paul, of Brooklyn, said while taking a rave break outside the venue doors. "Blade 4! Bring Wesley Snipes back! He’s fifty years old—ten years left in him. Netflix!” Some attendees admitted to being there strictly for the rave: Briah Scott and Rebecca Murdocca, who had made the trip from Boston for the event, told us they had never even seen the films.

Asked to sum up the entire Blood Rave experience, Elisabeth Danyi of Bethlehem Pennsylvania smirked. “Bloody awesome,” she said. Beside her, fellow Pennsylvanian Catherine Kaetz grinned as well, calling it "excitingly slimy."
