EU President Says ‘Other Planets’ Are Worried About Brexit [VIDEO]

President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, said “leaders of other planets” are concerned over the U.K.’s recent vote to leave the European Union (EU), known as Brexit.

“You need to know that those who observe us from afar are worried,” Juncker said in June during a debate regarding Brexit In Brussels. “I have have seen, listened and heard many leaders of other planets and they are very worried because they wonder about the course the EU will follow.”

“So we have to reassure both the Europeans and those who observe us from afar,” he said.

Juncker doesn’t give specifics on what planets harbored such concerns, or how he communicates with them, but they apparently wish British voters had decided to stay in the EU in June.

Juncker, however, claimed he misspoke, according to an article published by The Rebel Thursday. He claims he meant to say “leaders of our planet watching from afar.”

In the video, Juncker said in French “dirigeants d’autres planets,” which translates to “leaders of other planets.”

Exopolitics.org reported the official transcript was edited to remove the part referring to other planets. The transcript now reads, “I saw and heard and listened to several executives. They are very worried.”

Juncker reportedly has a habit of doing odd things in public. Russia Today reported June 6 he was seen “slapping” the face of world leaders, and even kissing the head of another.

The Daily Mail claimed Juncker’s odd behavior was due to alcohol. A Financial Times writer even noted in 2014, “the next EU President could have one of those slogans on the office wall – ‘You don’t have to be drunk to work here, but it helps.'”

Others gave their opinions on Twitter.

Juncker previously responded to claims he likes to drink too much.

“I have no problems with drink, that’s enough now,” he told the Luxemburger Wort in 2014. “Leave me alone with these accusations that are not true.”
