The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. El Chapo Cartel Within United States Border Has Placed $100M Bounty On Trump, Dead or Alive

Donald Trump won the presidential election in a fair, democratic process. The entire Nation voted and resoundingly cast their vote for Donald Trump to be our Commander-in-Chief and lead this great Nation.

Democrats and the lying media slammed Donald Trump for months when he argued that he may not accept the results of the election. Now that he has won, ironically, it has been the media and Hillary’s supporters that are refusing to accept the results of the election.

In wake of President Trump winning the election in a landslide, thousands of whiny, entitled liberals are flooding the streets with their violence and tears because they just cannot deal with a President that has said mean things.

Many of the protesters are paid mercenaries by Clinton-ally George Soros to carry out acts of violence and destruction in major cities across the country. They are destroying car lots, businesses, but more importantly, they are assaulting people for absolutely no reason.

On top of that, reports are now circulating that Mexican drug lord Joaquín Guzmán (El Chappo) is offering a $100,000,000 bounty for anyone who can bring him Donald Trump, dead or alive.

Mexico’s billion dollar drug lord has been gloating all over social media about his escape from a maximum security jail by taunting authorities and threatening US-presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

According to informants close to El Chapo, the drug lord was offended and furious with Donald Trump’s racists allegations and plans of a Great Wall dividing the United States and Mexico. The bounty was set weeks prior to El Chapo’s escape with the help of other members of the Mexican cartel.

According to fellow inmates, El Chapo was very vocal about his hatred for Trump, citing that El Chapo often spoke about murdering Trump and found pleasure in masterminding an assassination.

Thankfully, we do not have a weak President anymore that will cower to threats. Donald Trump sent several tweets back indicating that El Chappo embodies “everything that is wrong with Mexico” and that he would “kick his a**” at Trump Tower.

While President Trump is a tough man that can hold his own, we must not normalize these threats. Whether we are discussing protesters in the streets or a drug lord from Mexico that is upset that Trump’s Wall will hurt his drug smuggling business, these threats should be met with serious consequences; and under President Trump, they will.

Standing outside Trump Tower with a sign that calls for Melania Trump to be raped is never going to be tolerated. Destroying businesses and calling for the assassination of a President will never be acceptable. These liberal crybabies are revolting because they are being paid by Hillary Clinton donors like George Soros to revolt in the streets.

In Trump’s America, toughness and hard work will be the new mindset with everything we do. If you are ignorant enough to threaten our President, you better be willing to accept the outcome; because Trump is not going to play these liberal games any longer once he is sworn into office.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/report-at-least-three-nba-teams-are-boycotting-trump-hotels-051207456.html
Report: At least three NBA teams are boycotting Trump hotels

The election of Donald Trump has elicited intense responses from all corners of American life, and the NBA has been no exception. Strong responses from coaches Stan Van Gundy and Gregg Popovich have grabbed the most headlines, but even the “wait-and-see” approach favored by LeBron James and others has been tinged with noticeable levels of sadness and concern. While the degree varies, the most liberally minded of the United States’ major sports leagues has not shied away from considering the impact of a Trump presidency on its diverse fan base, its predominantly black and heavily international player base, and the many intersections of those groups.

At least three NBA teams have decided to back up those concerns by boycotting some of the most visible Trump-branded properties in the country. As reported by Zach Lowe and Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, and Memphis Grizzlies have stopped staying at Trump-affiliated hotels during road trips to Chicago and New York for political reasons:

At least three NBA teams have stopped staying at Donald Trump-branded hotels this season in part to avoid any implied association with the new president-elect, according to league sources.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks have moved away from Trump hotels in New York City and Chicago, which bear Donald Trump’s name through a licensing agreement.

Sources say that another Eastern Conference team contracted to stay at the Trump SoHo in New York this season has likewise already decided to switch to a different property in Manhattan when its current contract expires at season’s end and that the Trump association is among the factors for the switch. […]

Seven other teams told ESPN.com on Tuesday that they are still currently scheduled to stay at Trump-branded properties this season. […]

Several teams that have stayed at the Trump SoHo in particular in the past told ESPN that they are not staying there this season but did not specifically attribute the switch to any political reason. Several more said that they’ve never stayed at Trump-branded hotels.

The report adds that the Bucks stayed at the Trump International Tower and Hotel in Chicago for an exhibition game in early October after trying to make a cancellation, so that decision apparently came fairly late in the campaign. Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry has been a major Clinton ally and Democratic Party donor for years, and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was one of Trump’s loudest critics in the last few months before the election (after having praised him in July 2015).

It would not be terribly surprising to learn that more teams have opted to avoid Trump hotels for political reasons without publicizing it. Last week’s statements from Van Gundy, Popovich, and Steve Kerr would make it seem very unlikely that the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, and Golden State Warriors would stay in a Trump-branded hotel, and enough people around the league have expressed displeasure with the president-elect to assume they’re not alone. Jalen Rose’s prediction that NBA players won’t visit Trump’s White House looks more likely with every passing day.

Boycotting a hotel chain is ultimately a fairly minor statement for teams to make — especially when it wasn’t publicized before this report — but that doesn’t mean it’s an empty one. The NBA has been vocal in its support for diversity, LGBTQ rights, and environmental causes for several years. An administration that could include a chief strategist praised by a former Ku Klux Klan leader and the current chairman of the American Nazi Party, a vice president with a long history of anti-LGBTQ views, and a renowned climate change denier staffing the Enviromental Protection Agency is a challenge to all those stances. The question to ask isn’t why these teams are boycotting Trump hotels, but why more haven’t.

Ford Tells Trump: We Will Not Move Lincoln Plant to Mexico

well, imagine that...

“Just got a call from my friend Bill Ford, Chairman of Ford, who advised me that he will be keeping the Lincoln plant in Kentucky — no Mexico,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

The news was shocking to local residents, since Ford had never announced any intention of moving Kentucky jobs to Mexico. Ford operates two plants in the Louisville community, with their truck plant producing the full-size Lincoln Navigator.

Ford currently employs 4,705 at its massive 3,154,173-square-foot assembly facility, which sits on 180 acres located in the Northeast side of town. The facility has operated since 1955 and currently produces the mid-size Lincoln MKC small sport-utility, along with the very popular Ford Escape small-size SUV.

Ford created a fire-storm on September 17 when it told employees itintended to move all small car assembly in the U.S to a modern Mexico facility employing 2,800 workers. Ford currently builds the Focus and C-Max compacts in the U.S., the Fiesta subcompact in Mexico, and the high-performance Ford Focus RS in Germany.

Ford announced in a formal statement, “Today, we confirmed with the President-elect that our small Lincoln utility vehicle made at the Louisville Assembly Plant will stay in Kentucky.” The company added, “We are encouraged that President-elect Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the United States.”

Ford has claimed that the company needed to relocate small car production to Mexico, which has 80 percent lower wages, in order to be viable against competitors that have relocated south of the border.

Mexico factories currently make the Cadillac Escalade EXT and SRX, Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet HHR, Chevrolet Silverado and Silverado Hybrid, Dodge Journey, Dodge Ram 2500, Dodge Ram 3500, Dodge Ram 4500, Dodge Ram 5500, Ford Fiesta, Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid, GMC Sierra and Sierra Hybrid, GMC Sierra Crew Cab, Honda CR-V, Lincoln MKZ and MKZ Hybrid, Nissan Sentra, Nissan Versa, Volkswagen Jetta, and Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen.

Obama halts immigration amnesty push in court, bows to incoming Trump administration

The administration has already taken the first step to accommodate President-elect Trump’s positions, agreeing Friday to take a timeout on President Obama’s push to kick-start his 2014 deportation amnesty.

In documents filed with a federal judge in Texas the Justice Department said that in light of the new management that will take over next year, the case should be suspended.

“Accordingly, the parties respectfully submit that further proceedings on the merits of this case, including the submission of a schedule for resolving the merits, should be stayed until February 20, 2017,” the Justice Department and lawyers for Texas said in a joint request of Judge Andrew S. Hanen.

Judge Hanen had halted Mr. Obama’s expanded amnesty in February 2015, just two days before it was to go into effect, ruling that the administration broke administrative law. An appeals court twice upheld his injunction, as did the Supreme Court, in a 4-4 deadlock decision this summer.

The injunction remains in place while Judge Hanen was to hear full arguments — but both sides now say President-elect Trump should have the chance to weigh in.

“Given the change in Administration, the parties jointly submit that a brief stay of any further litigation in this Court before beginning any further proceedings would serve judicial efficiency and economy so that the parties have a better understanding of how they might choose to move forward,” both sides said.

Judge Hanen would still have to consent to staying the proceedings.

The amnesty would apply to more than 4 million illegal immigrants who were either brought to the U.S. as children, or who were parents of American citizens or legal immigrants.

Under the Obama program, they were to be granted tentative legal status for three years, preventing them from being deported and entitling them to work permits, which would in turn earn them driver’s licenses and some taxpayer benefits.

Mr. Obama had for years said he lacked the power to issue such a blanket amnesty, but discovered the power after his party suffered massive losses in the 2014 election.

The amnesty was declared not be executive order, but rather by a series of memos from the Homeland Security secretary.

Judge Hanen ruled the amnesty violated the Administrative Procedure Act because it was a major policy change that should have been put out for public review and comment. The appeals court went further, ruling Mr. Obama broke immigration law, which never envisioned so broad a use of “deferred action” powers.

Donald Trump’s media summit was a ‘f—ing firing squad’

Donald Trump scolded media big shots during an off-the-record Trump Tower sitdown on Monday, sources told The Post.

“It was like a f–ing firing squad,” one source said of the encounter.

“Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said ‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,’ ” the source said.

“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added.

A second source confirmed the fireworks.

“The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks,” the other source said.

“Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars,” the source said.

“Trump didn’t say [NBC reporter] Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate – which was Martha Raddatz who was also in the room.”

The stunned reporters tried to get a word in edgewise to discuss access to a Trump Administration.

“[CBS Good Morning co-host Gayle] King did not stand up, but asked some question, ‘How do you propose we the media work with you?’ Chuck Todd asked some pretty pointed questions. David Muir asked ‘How are you going to cope living in DC while your family is in NYC? It was a horrible meeting.”

Trump spokeswoman Kellyanne Conway told reporters the gathering went well.

“Excellent meetings with the top executives of the major networks,” she said during a gaggle in the lobby of Trump Tower. “Pretty unprecedented meeting we put together in two days.”

The meeting was off the record, meaning the participants agreed not to talk about the substance of the conversations.

The hour-long session included top execs from network and cable news channels. Among the attendees were NBC’s Deborah Turness, Lester Holt and Chuck Todd, ABC’s James Goldston, George Stephanopoulos, David Muir and Martha Raddatz,

Also, CBS’ Norah O’Donnell John Dickerson, Charlie Rose, Christopher Isham and King, Fox News’ Bill Shine, Jack Abernethy, Jay Wallace, Suzanne Scott, MSNBC’s Phil Griffin and CNN’s Jeff Zucker and Erin Burnett.

Arthur Sulzberger, publisher of The New York Times, plans to meet with Trump Tuesday.

There was no immediate comment from the Trump Team.

Wow! Maybe my memory is shoddy, but I can't recall any US President openly using profanity like this. Who's next? Kanye West for President?

Well, as we've heard many times - the nation's leaders reflect their respective nation.

Donald Trump to 'withdraw from Trans-Pacific Partnership' on first day in office
11/22/16

Donald Trump has issued a video outlining his policy plans for his first 100 days in office and vowing to issue a note of intent to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership “from day one”.

In the brief clip posted to YouTube on Monday, the president-elect said that “our transition team is working very smoothly, efficiently, and effectively”, contradicting a wealth of media reports telling of chaos in Trump Tower as Trump struggles to build a team.

He said that he was going to issue a note of intent to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, calling it “a potential disaster for our country”. Instead he said he would “negotiate fair bilateral trade deals that bring jobs and industry back”.

Hours before Trump’s announcement, Japan’s prime minister, Shinzo Abe, warned that the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) would be “meaningless” without US participation.

Speaking to reporters in Buenos Aires on Monday, Abe conceded that other TPP countries had not discussed how to rescue the agreement if Trump carried out his promise to withdraw.

Abe, a vocal supporter of the 12-nation agreement, appears to have failed in his recent attempts to coax Trump out of his “America first”, protectionism.

The TPP, which excludes China, is thought to have been high on Abe’s agenda when he became the first foreign leader to meet the president-elect in New York last week.

While details of their 90-minute meeting have not been released, Abe would have used the time to try to persuade Trump to go back on his campaign threat to pull the US out of TPP on day one of his presidency.

“The TPP would be meaningless without the United States,” Abe said, after Japan and other TPP countries had discussed the agreement on the sidelines of the Apec summit in Lima at the weekend.

He added that the pact could not be renegotiated. “This would disturb the fundamental balance of benefits,” he said.

Willing to oppose Trump, some Senate Republicans gain leverage
[Reuters]
By Ginger Gibson and Richard Cowan
November 22, 2016

https://www.yahoo.com/news/willing-oppose-trump-senate-republicans-gain-leverage-110716239.html

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - It is no surprise that Democrats in the U.S. Congress will oppose Donald Trump but the most important resistance to fulfilling the president-elect's agenda is beginning to emerge from Republicans on Capitol Hill.

A small number of influential Republicans in the Senate are threatening to block appointments to Trump's administration, derail his thaw with Russia and prevent the planned wall on the border with Mexico.

The party held onto control of the Senate at the Nov. 8 election but by only a thin margin, putting powerful swing votes in just a few hands.

That empowers Republican Senate mavericks such as Rand Paul of Kentucky and Ted Cruz of Texas. Both were bitter rivals to Trump in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.

Paul, a libertarian lone wolf, says he will block Senate confirmations if Trump nominates either former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani or former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton to be secretary of state.

South Carolina's Lindsay Graham has started publicly outlining places he might be willing to oppose Trump. He is against the Mexican border wall and is delivering warnings against Trump's intention to revoke legal status for undocumented immigrants brought here as children - although that would not require congressional approval.

Graham, a traditional Republican foreign policy hawk, strongly disagrees with Trump's attempt to improve ties with Russia.

"I am going to be kind of a hard ass" on Russia, Graham told reporters recently. "We can’t sit on the sidelines" and let cyber attacks blamed on Russia "go unanswered."

The early stirrings of opposition from Senate Republicans are a sign that the New York businessman, who has never held public office, might run into harsh political realities soon after taking office on Jan. 20.

Other Senators who might defy Trump are Arizona's John McCain and Jeff Flake, Nebraska's Ben Sasse, Florida's Marco Rubio, Maine's Susan Collins and Alaska's Lisa Murkowski, said senior Senate aides and lawmakers.

These lawmakers have ruffled feathers in the past and some have a good political reason not to fear Trump: Paul, McCain, Murkowski and Rubio do not have to run for reelection until 2022. Graham, Collins and Sasse will have to face the voters in 2020; Cruz and Flake have an earlier election, in 2018.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, whose job is to keep the Republicans in line, knows the challenges ahead. A senior Republican aide said McConnell is “loathe” to spend time trying to move bills that lack the needed Senate votes.

McConnell is aware he will not have the support of some of his own lawmakers on bills that could pass the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, such as appropriating money to build the Mexican wall and further abortion restrictions, the aide said.

DEMOCRATIC STRAYS

But Trump has a history of taming what appear to be well-entrenched Republican opponents. He won the party nomination against all the odds and some of his staunchest opponents like Rubio and Cruz ended up endorsing him.

And swing votes in the Senate cut two ways. The Democrats have their own potential renegades such as West Virginia's Joe Manchin, who has already declared his support for Trump's nomination of Republican Senator Jeff Sessions as attorney general.

Such swings by Democrats toward Republicans may be likelier ahead of the 2018 elections, when Democrats must defend more vulnerable Senate seats than Republicans. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer must deal with this. Trump said over the weekend he and Schumer "always had a good relationship."

Republicans are likely to control only 52 seats in the 100-seat Senate, meaning three defections within the party are enough to block cabinet appointments which only require 50 votes. Vice President-elect Mike Pence would break 50-50 ties.

The task for McConnell gets more difficult when it comes to passing legislation, which requires 60 votes, known as cloture, to allow a bill to move forward. If Trump plans to sign a bill while in office, perhaps one that will change immigration law or restrict abortions, McConnell will have to keep all Republicans in line and win over an additional eight Democrats.

Trump could deliver on campaign promises that do not require legislative approval like blocking the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal or ending the Iran nuclear pact. The repeal of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, enjoys robust Republican support and would be done through a legislative maneuver that does not require any Democratic support.

Collins and Murkowski have a history of crossing the aisle to join Democrats and could shy from abortion restrictions.

Cruz has never feared disrupting Senate business to prove a point or seek concessions in legislation.

Sasse did not waver from his staunch criticism of Trump through the campaign. Flake has said he is “eating crow” after Trump’s win, but he could defect on immigration and border security, issues he has previously joined with Democrats on.

Paul was asked last week on MSNBC if he would put a hold on Giuliani or Bolton. In the Senate, a hold allows a single senator to delay a confirmation. He left open the possibility of such a move, saying, “I feel pretty strongly about it.”

He said: "We have a 52-48 majority, all it would take is two or three Republicans to say they can’t go along with Giuliani and can’t go along with Bolton.”

Media falsely spins Trump’s NYT climate comments – Trump cited Climategate, restated skepticism of ‘global warming’ – Read full transcript

Trump to NYT warmist Tom Friedman: 'A lot of smart people disagree with you' on climate change.

Trump correctly cited the Climategate scandal: 'They say they have science on one side but then they also have those horrible emails that were sent between scientists...Terrible. Where they got caught, you know, so you see that and you say, what’s this all about.'

The media spin on President Elect Donald J. Trump’s sit down with the New York Times on November 22, can only be described as dishonest. Trump appears to soften stance on climate change & Donald Trump backflips on climate change  & Trump on climate change in major U-turn

The ‘fake news’ that Trump had somehow moderated or changed his “global warming” views was not supported by the full transcript of the meeting.

Heartland Institute President Joe Bast had this to say about the full transcript of Trump’s meeting: “This is reassuring. The Left wants to drive wedges between Trump and his base by spinning anything he says as “retreating from campaign promises.” But expressing nuance and avoiding confrontation with determined foes who buy ink by the barrel is not retreating.” The Heartland Institute released their skeptical 2015 climate report featuring 4,000 peer-reviewed articles debunking the UN IPCC claims.

Trump’s climate science view that there is “some connectivity” between humans and climate is squarely a skeptical climate view. Trump explained, “There is some, something. It depends on how much.”

Trump’s views are shared by prominent skeptical scientists. University of London professor emeritus Philip Stott has said: “The fundamental point has always been this. Climate change is governed by hundreds of factors, or variables, and the very idea that we can manage climate change predictably by understanding and manipulating at the margins one politically selected factor (CO2) is as misguided as it gets.” “It’s scientific nonsense,” Stott added. Stott is featured in new skeptical climate change documentary Climate Hustle.

Scientists at the UN climate summit in Marrakech commended Trump’s climate views. See: Skeptical scientists crash UN climate summit, praise Trump for ‘bringing science back again’
Trump also told resident NYT warmist Tom Friedman: ‘A lot of smart people disagree with you’ on climate change. (Note: Friedman has some wacky views: Flashback 2009: NYT’s Tom Friedman lauds China’s eco-policies: ‘One party can just impose politically difficult but critically important policies needed to move a society forward’)

Once again, Trump was 100% accurate as very prominent scientists are bailing out of the so-called climate “consensus.”

Jas 5:1  Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
Jas 5:2  Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

Trump taps billionaire investor Ross for commerce secretary
https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-taps-billionaire-investor-ross-commerce-secretary-085157339--election.html
11/24/16

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Wilbur Ross, the billionaire investor considered the "king of bankruptcy" for buying beaten-down companies with the potential to deliver profits, is President-elect Donald Trump's choice for commerce secretary, a senior transition official said.

The official isn't authorized to publicly discuss the matter and requested anonymity.

Reputed by Forbes to be worth nearly $3 billion, Ross would represent the interests of U.S. businesses domestically and abroad as the head at Commerce. His department would be among those tasked with carrying out the Trump administration's stated goal of protecting U.S. workers and challenging decades of globalization that largely benefited multinational corporations.

With a Florida home down the road from Trump's Mar-a-Lago retreat, the 78-year-old Ross played a role in crafting and selling the president-elect's tax-cut and infrastructure plans. Ross has suggested that much of America is disgruntled because the economy has left middle-class workers behind and says Trump represents a shift to a "less politically correct direction."

"Part of the reason why I'm supporting Trump is that I think we need a more radical, new approach to government — at least in the U.S. — from what we've had before," Ross told CNBC in June, referring to Trump's blunt tone and sweeping promises to reinvigorate economic growth.

Despite his embrace of populist rhetoric, Ross has enjoyed a patrician lifestyle. He frequently commutes between his offices in New York and home in Palm Beach, Florida, according to Haute Living magazine. He maintains an art collection worth more than $100 million that includes works by the Belgian surrealist Rene Magritte. A graduate of Yale University, he pledged $10 million to help build its management school.

For 24 years as a banker at Rothschild, Ross developed a lucrative specialty in bankruptcy and corporate restructurings. He founded his own firm, W.L. Ross, in 2000 and earned part of his fortune from investing in troubled factories in the industrial Midwest and in some instances generating profits by limiting worker benefits. That region swung hard for Trump in the election on the promise of more manufacturing jobs from renegotiated trade deals and penalties for factories that outsourced their work abroad.

A specialist in corporate turnarounds, Ross buys distressed or bankrupt companies at steep discounts, then seeks to shave costs and generate profits. Some of those cost reductions have come from altering pay and benefits for workers. Since 2000, his firm has invested in more than 178 companies.

Ross most prominently created four companies through mergers and acquisitions that focused on steel, textiles, autos and coal. In some cases, Ross has sold the companies he packaged to even larger globe-spanning companies. In 2005, he sold the International Steel Group, which included the former Bethlehem Steel, to the Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal.

And while his investments appear to have proved generally lucrative, they have also at times brought troubling publicity.

In early 2006, the Sago coal mine owned by Ross exploded, triggering a collapse that killed a dozen miners. Federal safety inspectors in 2005 had cited the West Virginia mine with 208 violations.

Ross said afterward that he knew about the safety violations but that the mine's management had assured him that it was a "safe situation."

"Oh, my God, it's the worst week of my entire life," Ross told ABC News days after the collapse.

If confirmed by the Senate as commerce secretary, Ross would oversee nearly 47,000 employees and a budget of roughly $8 billion.

Among its responsibilities, the Cabinet department provides data on the economy through the Census Bureau and monitors the environment through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

One former commerce secretary, Donald Evans, noted that a prime responsibility is opening up markets around the world for U.S. companies and workers.

"What you are is ambassador to the world from America," said Evans, who served under President George W. Bush. "It's critically important when you go to other countries that, first and foremost, you care about them, the citizens of their country."

That advice clashes somewhat with the promises made by Trump, who campaigned on the doctrine of putting "America first." The president-elect told voters that Mexico, China and other countries had played U.S. trade negotiators for fools.

"Under a Trump administration, no American citizen will ever again feel that their needs come second to the citizens of foreign countries," Trump said in April.

Trump's Defense pick has ties to Theranos

Donald Trump's pick for secretary of Defense has ties to Theranos, a troubled Silicon Valley startup.

On Thursday, President-elect Trump said he would nominate retired Marine General James Mattis for secretary of Defense.

After retiring in 2013, Mattis became a board director at Theranos, a company founded in 2003 by then 19-year-old Stanford dropout Elizabeth Holmes.

"The strength of the leader's vision in the military is seen as the critical element in that unit's performance," Mattis said in a 2014 Fortune piece about Holmes. "I wanted to be around something again that had that sort of leadership."

The blood-testing startup was billed as a classic industry disruptor -- offering a cheaper, more efficient alternative to traditional medical tests. And Holmes, whose mother was a congressional committee staffer and whose father worked for government agencies, was the darling of the tech industry. Her company was valued at $9 billion, making her a self-made billionaire on paper.

Related: Walgreens sues Theranos for breach of contract

A Wall Street Journal report in October 2015 put a spotlight on the company's questionable technology and testing methods. It drew closer scrutiny to the company, including the fact that its board was made up of primarily military and intelligence professionals.

It had few people from the medical industry and no big names from the tech or venture capital world.

According to the Washington Post, Mattis' relationship with Holmes dates back to 2011, when they met at a Marine Memorial event. Mattis was interested in Holmes' technology for use on the battlefield.

Holmes reportedly reached out to Mattis in 2012, after a military official flagged Theranos' technology to the FDA. She wanted Mattis to use his authority to dispel any concerns. Mattis forwarded the emails internally, indicating a sense of urgency in moving forward with the technology, but it never took off.

Vanity Fair reported that Mattis denied any FDA interference. He said he was "interested in rapidly having the company's technologies tested legally and ethically."

In the past year, Theranos has voided two years of blood tests, faced federal probes, pivoted away from blood testing -- and Holmes has been banned from owning or operating a lab for two years.

Most recently, it's been sued by investors and Walgreens, once its biggest partner.

Mattis, however, is still on the company's board of directors, according to its website. Theranos did not immediately return CNNMoney's request for comment about his involvement.

Mattis isn't the only powerful figure who has been caught in Theranos' mess.

On Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported that its own Rupert Murdoch had invested $100 million in the company. But he'd never been publicly linked to the company before.

Riley Bechtel, chairman of construction giant Bechtel Group, was an investor and board member at Theranos. But as part of changes that Theranos announced on Thursday, it said Bechtel will be retiring from its board.

Donald Trump reportedly praises Pakistan's 'terrific' PM

(CNN)It's a case of he said, he said between two of the world's most powerful men.

We know that Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and US President-elect Donald Trump spoke on the phone Wednesday.

What was said during that call is what's at issue.

After the conversation, the Pakistan Prime Minister's Office put out a statement directly quoting Trump -- a violation of diplomatic protocol -- in which he glowingly praised Sharif.

The statement quoted President-elect Trump as telling Sharif "you are a terrific guy. You are doing amazing work which is visible in every way. I am looking forward to see you soon. As I am talking to you, Prime Minister, I feel I am talking to a person I have known for long."

The President-elect's office put out a statement saying the two sides "had a productive conversation about how the United States and Pakistan will have a strong working relationship in the future."

The Trump team did not answer inquiries from CNN asking whether the President-elect actually said what the Pakistanis claimed he had.

Gore meets with president-elect and Ivanka Trump
12/5/16

Al Gore and Donald Trump met Monday just weeks after the former vice president campaigned for the president-elect's opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton.

"I had a lengthy and very productive session with the president-elect. It was a sincere search for areas of common ground," Gore told reporters after the meeting at Trump Tower.

Gore added that prior to the meeting with Trump he'd met with Ivanka Trump, but that "the bulk of the time was with the president-elect, Donald Trump."

"I found it an extremely interesting conversation, and to be continued, and I'm just going to leave it at that," Gore said.

The meeting came the same day The Guardian published an interview with Gore where he said that the threat of climate change is too pressing for people to “despair” over Trump’s election.

“My message would be that despair is just another form of denial. There is no time to despair. We don’t have time to lick our wounds, to hope for a different election outcome,” Gore wrote. “We have to win this struggle and we will win it; the only question is how fast we win. But more damaged is baked into the climate system every day, so it’s a race against time.”

Gore was a recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in raising awareness of the dangers of climate change.

Trump has previously said that climate change is a hoax invented by the Chinese and vowed to cancel the Paris climate deal. After being elected president, though, he signaled at least some openness to modifying his views.

In a meeting with The New York Times  last month, Trump said there is “some connectivity” related to humans and climate change.

Asked if he’d pull out of the Paris Climate deal, the president-elect said, “I’m going to take a look at it."

Politico recently reported that Ivanka Trump planned to focus on climate change during her father's presidency.

Texas elector says he will not cast his vote for Donald Trump

By Daniella Diaz, CNN

Updated 8:06 AM ET, Tue December 6, 2016

Washington (CNN)A Texas elector said Monday that enough is enough -- he will not cast his vote for President-elect Donald Trump as part of the Electoral College process on December 19.

Christopher Suprun, a paramedic from Texas who served as a firefighter during the Sept. 11 attacks, wrote in an editorial published in The New York Times that even though he is a Republican elector, he will not vote for Trump.

Suprun will cast his vote along with the other electors (538 in total) from every state and the District of Columbia on December 19 as part of the Electoral College process.

"Fifteen years ago, I swore an oath to defend my country and Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic," he wrote. "On Dec. 19, I will do it again."

Suprun ends the editorial by saying that the electors still have a chance to unify behind a Republican alternative such as Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
Along with Suprun, 36 other electors planning to vote for Trump would have to abandon their vote for him -- which is almost beyond the realm of possibility. Even if Suprun doesn't cast his vote for Trump, Trump is headed toward the 270 votes he needs to become president in January.

In the editorial Suprun explained that he believes Trump has shown he's not qualified for the Oval Office. He wrote that the last time the nation was united was after the Sept. 11 attacks, while Trump has failed "to unite America" and drove "a wedge between us."

"He does not encourage civil discourse, but chooses to stoke fear and create outrage," Suprun wrote in the editorial.

Suprun added that Trump's actions, such as saying "Russia should hack Hillary Clinton's emails" and urging "violence against protesters at his rallies during the campaign" show that he is not qualified to be president.

He also wrote about how the advisers Trump surrounds himself with, including retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn for National Security Adviser and Steve Bannon, a former Breitbart executive named to a senior adviser position, are not positive influences on him.

"He has surrounded himself with advisers such as Stephen K. Bannon, who claims to be a Leninist and lauds villains and their thirst for power, including Darth Vader," he wrote. "Gen. Michael T. Flynn, Mr. Trump's pick for national security adviser, has his own checkered past about rules."

Florida voters sue for recount
12/6/16

TALLAHASSEE — Three central Florida voters are mounting an unlikely bid to overturn the presidential election result in the Sunshine State.

In a lawsuit filed Monday in Leon Circuit Court, they assert that Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump, actually won Florida. The plaintiffs, who live in Osceola and Volusia counties, say the state’s official election results were off because of hacking, malfunctioning voting machines and other problems.

They're asking for a hand recount of every paper ballot in Florida, at the expense of defendants including Trump, Gov. Rick Scott and the 29 Republican presidential electors from Florida.

But even lawyers for the plaintiffs acknowledge time isn’t on their side. Clint Curtis, an Orlando attorney representing the plaintiffs, said the defendants may not respond by the time the Electoral College meets on Dec. 19.

"They can ignore it entirely,” he said.

He said he has received a “deluge” of reports from voters across the state of problems on election day, including people being turned away at the polls and told they’d already voted. Florida Division of Elections officials reported only a few "minor issues" on election day.

Curtis said he hopes Trump, who has blasted recount efforts elsewhere, will get behind one in Florida. Officially, Trump got more than 4.6 million votes in Florida, beating Clinton by more than 112,000 votes.

“He’s mentioned he wants to fix the rigged system,” he said. “This will give the opportunity to do that. If it were a normal politician, I’d say our chances are very slim. But it’s not a normal politician — it’s Donald Trump.”

BUSTED! Texas Rogue Electoral Delegate Chris Suprun Is Linked to far left Van Jones, Think Progress

Suprun signed a pledge last summer to support the Republican nominee.
He lied.

Suprun is a #NeverTrumper.
His Twitter timeline is littered with fellow #NeverTrumper gibberish.

Now this…
If you look at Chris Suprun’s Twitter page you can clearly see that he is using Megaphone Strategies as his PR firm.

Megaphone Strategies was founded by far left activist Van Jones.
It’s mission is “to use use PR as a tool to diversify progressive movements.”

Its clients include: Netroots Nation, Green for All and Demand Progress.

So this so-called conservative is using a far left company founded by Van Jones as a PR firm? You just can’t make this stuff up!

Do Republicans even vet their electoral college members?
Good grief!

Trump chooses pro wrestling magnate Linda McMahon to head SBA
http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/smallbusiness/trump-chooses-pro-wrestling-magnate-linda-mcmahon-to-head-sba/ar-AAlh0uX?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartandhp

WASHINGTON, Dec 7 (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said on Wednesday he will nominate professional wrestling magnate and former Senate candidate Linda McMahon as his choice to head the Small Business Administration.

Trump's announcement said McMahon would be a key player in his effort to generate stronger job growth and roll back federal regulations.

McMahon, 68, is a co-founder and former CEO of the professional wrestling franchise WWE, which is based in Stamford, Connecticut. She ran unsuccessfully for a U.S. Senate seat in Connecticut in 2010. She was an early supporter of Trump's presidential campaign.

The SBA, which has at least one office in every U.S. state, provides support to small businesses such as by extending loans and making sure they get a percentage of federal contracts.

Trump said McMahon had helped the WWE grow from a 13-person operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees worldwide. Trump is a WWE Hall of Fame member.

If confirmed by the Senate, McMahon would join a Trump economic team that includes Wall Street executives Steven Mnuchin at the Treasury Department and Wilbur Ross at Commerce.

"Linda has a tremendous background and is widely recognized as one of the country's top female executives advising businesses around the globe," Trump said in the announcement.

Donald Trump's SBA nominee gave $7M to support him

Washington (CNN)President-elect Donald Trump's nominee to run the Small Business Administration gave millions to support his presidential campaign -- including a newly disclosed $1 million donation just weeks before the election.

Linda McMahon, the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, made the $1 million donation to a super PAC funded by the Ricketts family and casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson in early October, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission late Thursday.

The super PAC, Future 45, was revitalized as a pro-Trump committee in early fall by the Ricketts, who earlier in the election support anti-Trump efforts, and by Adelson, who sat out the Republican primary.

One of the Ricketts siblings, Cubs co-owner Todd Ricketts, has been named by Trump as deputy commerce secretary.
Linda McMahon picked to lead SBA

McMahon's most recent donation brings her total contributions to pro-Trump super PACs this election to $7 million, making her one of the largest contributors in support of Trump. She had previously given $6 million in August and September to Rebuilding America Now, another super PAC that supported Trump's campaign.

Super PACs are a type of campaign committee that are allowed to raise unlimited sums of money from Americans for political purposes, provided they do not directly coordinate with official candidate campaigns.

The WWE co-founder was named this week to serve as the chief of the SBA. She started the pro wrestling franchise with her husband, Vince McMahon, but stepped down from her role in the company in 2009.

She ran unsuccessfully for Senate twice in Connecticut, in 2010 and 2012.

It is not uncommon for presidents to reward top donors with plum posts in the administration, especially ambassadorships.

Current Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker is a billionaire businesswoman who was a major backer of President Barack Obama, serving as finance chairwoman for his 2008 campaign

Who is in Donald Trump's Cabinet?

Trump has drawn heavily from the billionaire and millionaire class for his Cabinet. In addition to McMahon and Ricketts, Trump has tapped his finance chairman and millionaire Steven Mnuchin as treasury secretary, billionaire investor and donor Wilbur Ross for commerce secretary, billionaire and GOP donor Besty DeVos as education secretary and millionaire fast food CEO Andrew Puzder as labor secretary.

When my dad mentioned his name (Bobby Valentine) this morning, I thought he was going to tell he either he was charged with a crime, was getting a divorce, or what not. However, when he told me this news item, I almost fell off my chair!

Yes, everything is gotten to be one big joke now! And the humor isn't even funny anymore!

Donald Trump considers hiring former New York Mets manager Bobby Valentine
12/9/16

NEW YORK, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- President-elect Donald Trump could be turning to Major League Baseball when looking for new hires.

Former MLB manager Bobby Valentine is "on a short-list of candidates for the job of United States Ambassador to Japan," according to a WEEI report.

Valentine, 66, managed Japan's Chiba Lotte Marines for seven seasons. He owns a 581-605 record in 16 years as a MLB manager for the Texas Rangers, Mets, and Boston Red Sox. In 2012, Valentine led the Red Sox to a 69-93 mark.

Looks like I won't be allowed to visit Japan for the next 4 years. 😂😂😂 https://t.co/BCGnvpFWLh
    — Kevin Youkilis (@KYouk_2036) December 9, 2016

Valentine now serves as the athletic director at Sacred Heart University. This isn't the first time Trump has turned to sports when eyeing candidates for his transition team. On Wednesday, he named former World Wresting Entertainment [WWE] CEO Linda McMahon the administrator of the Small Business Administration.

Valentine was the first American-born manager to win the Japan Series when he won it in 2005 with the Marines.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Valentine each attended the University of Southern California.

Donald Trump chooses Rick Perry to be energy secretary
12/12/16

Donald Trump has selected Rick Perry to be energy secretary, according to two sources directly involved in the transition and selection process.

He had been summoned to Trump Tower for a meeting Monday to discuss the position after having been contacted over the weekend. The meeting was only finalized on Sunday.

The other contenders for the position were Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, and Ray Washburne, a key Trump fundraiser, former RNC finance chair, restaurateur and investor in oil and gas operations.

The former Texas governor sits on two corporate boards - one of them is Energy Transfer Partners - and that may present a confirmation issue. Energy Transfer Partners has a subsidiary known as Dakota Access LLC, which is attempting to build the Dakota Access Pipeline. That Dakota Access Pipeline has been the subject of public protests over its potential environmental impact and damage to Native American lands.

Recently, the Obama administration blocked the Dakota Access Pipeline easement through Lake Oahe, a move that jeopardized the 1,172-mile underground pipeline. The incoming Trump administration has said it will review the decision.

Mr. Trump once invested in Energy Transfer Partners and supports completion of the Dakota Access Pipeline. He told Fox News Sunday‎ that he would intervene if the matter is not resolved before he is inaugurated.

“When I get to office, if it’s not solved, I’ll have it solved very quickly,” he said.

Perry has been tapped to lead an agency he has suggested should be shut down. Although when Perry ran for the 2012 GOP nomination, during a debate, he famously forgot the name one of the three agencies he had pledged to eliminate.

“The third agency of government I would -- I would do away with Education, the --Commerce...Commerce and, let’s see. I can’t. The third one, I can’t. Sorry -- oops,” he said.

Later in the debate, Perry remembered, “It was the Department of Energy that I was reaching for before.”

Donald Trump eyeing Sylvester Stallone to chair National Endowment for the Arts?

That could be one rocky confirmation hearing.

President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly considering actor Sylvester Stallone to chair the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

Trump has not officially offered Stallone the position but reports indicate the actor could be "positively disposed to the idea."

Stallone and the President-elect have a history. Trump's campaign launched a web ad that featured a speech from Stallone's 2006 "Rocky Balboa."

The actor told Variety in January "I love Donald Trump."

Stallone also compared Trump to a "great Dickensian character." He said he had considered running for public office himself but changed his mind five minutes later when he "came to my senses."

Stallone and Trump have yet to comment on the NEA role, reported by the Daily Mail, and did not immediately return FOX411's request for comment.

Big names from several industries been lining up at the Trump Tower in New York city to talk about possible posts in the new administration.

Artist Jane Chu currently chairs the NEA, which has an annual budget of $150 million. Which is about what a big-budget Stallone-type action thriller is going for these days.

Did Trump team dangle ambassadorships to lure A-list talent to inauguration?

Kissinger calls Trump a 'phenomenon that foreign countries haven't seen'
12/19/16

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said in an interview Sunday that President-elect Donald Trump could go down in history as a "very considerable president."

"Donald Trump is a phenomenon that foreign countries haven't seen," Kissinger said on CBS's "Face The Nation."

"So it is a shocking experience to them that he came in to office. At the same time, extraordinary opportunity."

Kissinger said every country now has to consider two things.

"One, their perception that the previous president, or the outgoing president, basically withdrew America from international politics, so that they had to make their own assessments of their necessities," he said.

"And secondly, that here is a new president who's asking a lot of unfamiliar questions. And because of the combination of the partial vacuum and the new questions, one could imagine that something remarkable and new emerges out of it."

When asked if he has a sense about the president-elect's emerging foreign policy vision, Kissinger said he and the billionaire appear to operate differently, but offered some praise for the issues Trump has raised.

"I think he operates by a kind of instinct that is a different form of analysis as my more academic one," Kissinger said.

"But he's raised a number of issues that I think are important, very important. And if they're addressed properly, could lead to good - great results."

Who is Monica Crowley, Trump's latest national security team addition?
December 16, 2016

Monica Crowley will be the senior director of strategic communications for the National Security Council (NSC), Donald Trump’s transition team announced Thursday.

Dr. Crowley, who holds a PhD in international relations from Columbia University in New York, began her career as a research assistant and confidante to former President Richard Nixon in 1990 until his passing in 1994. She has since been a Fox News analyst, hosted a conservative radio show, and authored several books as well as a column in The Washington Times.

Since its inception by President Harry Truman in 1947, the NSC has served as “the President’s principal forum for considering national security and foreign policy matters.”

President-elect Trump’s transition team also announced the appointment of Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg Thursday to the position of NSC’s chief of staff and executive secretary.

Lt. Gen. Kellogg and Crowley will serve under the council’s previously announced leaders: retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn as national security adviser and K.T. McFarland as deputy national security adviser.

As a figure in the conservative media, a vocal critic of President Obama, with little national leadership experience and outspoken support for Trump, Crowley fits the mold of the president-elect’s previous pattern of appointments and nominations.

Ms. McFarland and chief strategist Steve Bannon also have media-related resumes
. Top cabinet nominees Ben Carson (for secretary of Housing and Urban Development), Rex Tillerson (for secretary of State), Rick Perry (for secretary of Energy), and Scott Pruitt (Environmental Protection Agency) all have shown similar levels of loyalty to Trump while clearly exhibiting indirect – or nontraditional – experience for their job assignments.

The Christian Science Monitor’s Peter Grier explained the pattern further, comparing Trump’s appointments to a season of "Survivor: Bureaucracy."

But comparing Trump’s staff moves to casting a reality show is not totally over the top. Trump won a stunning victory in large part by providing the media a campaign story they could not resist, producing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of free coverage. Why should he stop the drama now?

But Crowley’s role is anything but insignificant. She will be replacing Ben Rhodes, Obama’s senior national security advisor, who has been "an influential player on foreign policy issues and a close advisor to the president," explains The Washington Post.

As director of strategic communications, Mr. Rhodes ran the Iran-deal messaging campaign and negotiated the reopening of American-Cuban relations. He is the "single most influential voice shaping American foreign policy aside from POTUS himself," says The New York Times. Indeed, Rhodes had "a critical hand in shaping the administration’s global security policies and then selling those policies to the world," adds the Daily Beast.

How Crowley will handle the role, however, is yet to be determined.

"I am deeply honored, humbled and grateful to be asked by the President-elect to join the extraordinary national security team he is assembling," said Crowley in a statement. "With vision, courage and moral clarity, he is committed fully to reestablishing America’s singular place in the world."
