Romney takes major step toward presidential run

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the closest to a front-runner in a wide-open Republican field, took a major step toward a second White House candidacy Monday, formally announcing a campaign exploratory committee.

Romney declared that "with able leadership, America's best days are still ahead," vigorously asserting that President Barack Obama had failed to provide it.

The Republican, who has been plotting a comeback since losing the GOP presidential nomination to John McCain three years ago, offered himself as the person best able to lead a country struggling to recover from economic crisis.

"It is time that we put America back on a course of greatness with a growing economy, good jobs and fiscal discipline in Washington," Romney, a former venture capitalist with a record of turning around failing companies, said in a video posted on his website and on Facebook. He also announced the formation of the committee, which will allow him to raise money, in a Twitter message.

Romney's move had been expected and a full-fledged campaign is a near certainty. He has traveled across the country to meet in private with donors and sound out their support. His political committee's headquarters near Boston has been bulking up. And in his few public appearances, he has honed his criticism of Obama.

Remember William F. Cooper said in his MB series that one of the NWO's plans, ultimately, is to get a mormon in the White House.

Harry Reid has been Senate Majority leader since 2007, and we have other high ranking fed/state gov officials - we are getting pretty close.

Romney’s New Hampshire moment

The news that former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney will formally announce his presidential bid next Thursday isn’t terribly surprising. That he will do so in New Hampshire is interesting --- and telling.

Three years ago, Romney tried to run the table of early-voting states — spending millions of dollars in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina only to lose all three and, with them, the nomination.

While his aides insist he will not be skipping Iowa — and he is slated to make a series of stops in the state today — it’s clear that for Romney, New Hampshire is the must-have victory of the 2012 race.

“No Republican has ever won contested events in Iowa and New Hampshire in the same year since [Gerald] Ford,” said former New Hampshire Republican party chairman Fergus Cullen. “Mitt tried last time and failed in both places. I don’t expect they will try to do that again.”

Romney is playing from a position of power in the Granite State. Not only did he spend four years as governor of a neighboring state but Romney also maintains a home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, N.H.

In the 2008 race, Romney tried to run as a native son in New Hampshire, but after being edged by former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee in the Iowa caucuses, he was ambushed by Arizona Sen. John McCain in the Granite State — finishing second, six points off the lead.

In the intervening years, Romney has worked hard to maintain relationships in the state and to solidy his support. “He has spent the last two years meeting lots of grassroots Republicans and has done more fundraising and donated more to state candidates than anyone else,” said Steve Duprey, a Republican National Committeeman from New Hampshire. (Duprey’s wife is working as a volunteer for Romney, but he is neutral.)

Former Utah Governor / China Ambassador Jon Huntsman Jr. is considering the race as well, His dad Sr. has been on Glen Becks show several times, in fact Beck praises Sr. as his mentor. If you were looking for a white horse I’d keep my eye on him.

http://news.yahoo.com/analysis-christie-move-sets-2012-field-boosts-romney-183002758.html

Analysis: Christie move sets 2012 field, boosts Romney
10/4/11

..WASHINGTON (Reuters) - After months of turmoil and uncertainty, the Republican 2012 presidential race finally appears to have a settled field of candidates -- with Mitt Romney solidifying his perch at the top of the pack.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's decision not to seek the presidency ends the "will-he-or-won't-he" phase of the campaign, when a parade of Republicans rejected pleas to run from party insiders unhappy with the field.

Three months before the first votes are likely to be cast, it also solidified Romney's role as the reconstituted front-runner and eliminated a potential threat to his hold on the party's pragmatic, moderate wing.

Christie would have crowded Romney's middle-of-the-road path to the nomination, which the former Massachusetts governor has had to himself while a half-dozen rivals carved each other up for the allegiance of social and religious conservatives.

"Christie would have been a real threat to Romney," said Republican strategist Todd Harris. "He would have had the potential to steal Romney's base and at the same time consolidate the anti-Romney vote."

Christie's decision eliminates the last realistic contender who might still get in the presidential race other than 2008 vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, who few believe will launch a White House bid.

Palin has not ruled out a presidential run but has made no public effort to get ready for a campaign less than a month before the first key state filing deadlines.

"The reality is the field is set. The campaigns that are in the race have been operating as such, and anyone out there who is still thinking about running is delusional," said Republican strategist Jim Dyke.

"To raise the money, put together the organization and sustain the aggressive inspection of one's policy positions over the years ... you have to be delusional to think you could pull it off in a few months," he said.

'FLYING CARPET'

Unhappy with their choices, some Republican activists have been seeking a savior for months. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour and House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, among others, also decided against challenging President Barack Obama in 2012.

"Now we can move from soap opera to classroom," Dyke said. "We can get back to focusing on the economy and the Republican vision for that, rather than the idea that somebody will come in on a flying carpet and lead us to victory."

Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and the early front-runner, had seen his lead evaporate after Texas Governor Rick Perry entered the race in August.

But Perry has struggled, and Romney has moved back into the poll lead despite continued conservative doubts about the depth of his views and his backing of a state healthcare plan that was a precursor to Obama's national healthcare reform legislation.

Christie is also a moderate governor from the Northeast with establishment backing and a potentially strong donor network, although he has less experience on the national stage than Romney, who ran unsuccessfully for the White House in 2008.

Kevin Madden, a Romney aide in 2008 who is serving as an informal adviser in 2012, said Romney would not have needed to change strategy if Christie had run.

"The campaign was built to accommodate any challengers. You recognize it's going to be competitive no matter who gets in," Madden said. "I would disagree that this is a big plus for Romney."

In making his decision, Christie might have been guided by the failures of other candidates with strong credentials who came late to a presidential race -- Democrat Wesley Clark in 2004, Republican Fred Thompson in 2008 and Perry this year.

After quick starts, Clark and Thompson fell flat and Perry has struggled.

"This idea that it's easy to run for president -- Rick Perry is showing that it's a lot harder than it looks," said Fergus Cullen, former chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party.

Pat Robertson: Mitt Romney an 'Outstanding Christian'
10/2/11

In an interview published Saturday to mark 50 years of Christian Broadcasting Network, Chairman Pat Robertson said he liked Mitt Romney’s politics and saw the Mormon presidential candidate as an “outstanding Christian.”

Although many evangelicals are skeptical of the Mormon faith’s claim to Christianity, Robertson called former Massachusetts Governor Romney an “outstanding Christian” in an interview with The Associated Press.

But when asked if he was alright with a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the White House, the 81-year-old head of the television network refused to answer.

In a Pew Research Center poll in June, 34 percent of white evangelicals said they would not vote for a Mormon candidate, and a quarter of all Americans said they were less likely to do so. While Mormons also believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, there are many other doctrinal differences between evangelicals and the Latter-day Saints, such as on the Trinity and the Bible.

Robertson, founder of the Christian Coalition, one of the most influential groups in conservative circles, also said he would no longer endorse presidential candidates. “I’ve personally backed off from direct political involvement,” he was quoted as saying. “I’ve been there, done that.”

Robertson, a former Southern Baptist pastor, said he now believed that politics was not going to change the world. “It’s really not going to make that much of a difference.” But he would continue to comment on the news of the day, and his comment on Romney’s Christianity was perhaps part of that.

Like us on Facebook

During Romney’s campaign for the 2008 Republican nomination, Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr., president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, said, “Here is the bottom line. As an Evangelical Christian – a Christian who holds to the ‘traditional Christian orthodoxy’ of the Church – I do not believe that Mormonism leads to salvation.”

Controversies are not new to Robertson. He told viewers of his “700 Club” program this month that divorcing a spouse with Alzheimer’s disease, “a kind of death,” was justifiable.

“I hate Alzheimer’s,” he said. “It is one of the most awful things because, here is a loved one, this is the woman or man that you have loved for 20, 30, 40 years, and suddenly, that person is gone. They’re gone. They are gone.” Robertson’s views were criticized by most Christians.

Robertson, whose TV program is viewed by around 1 million people in the United States each day, admitted in the AP interview that he could have worded some of his controversial comments differently. But he appreciated his forgiving audience.
During the 2008 presidential election, Robertson endorsed former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was pro-abortion, for the White House.

After the 9/11 attacks, Robertson said the federal courts, pornography, abortion rights and church-state separation caused an angry God to allow the event.

Robertson was once a highly influential figure. He is founder of American Center for Law and Justice, Operation Blessing International Relief, Development Corporation, Regent University, and a few other organizations. In the 1988 presidential election, he was a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.

However, in recent years, Robertson has lost his political influence, and he knows that. “When I was in charge of the Christian Coalition I was available to mobilize grass roots support for somebody,” he said. “I don’t have any army right now. It’s just an opinion, and that isn’t quite as good as it used to be.”

Robertson said he wasn’t sure for how long he would continue to host the TV program. “I’m still strong and it seems like I’m doing all right, but I don’t want to overstay my time.”

Robertson recalled that what he started as a tiny UHF station in Portsmouth, Va., had now grown to become a sprawling campus in Virginia Beach. He was especially proud of reaching overseas audience, which he said would continue to be a focus of the network.

I can see this scenerio-

Ron Paul/Jesse Ventura could run on the 3rd party ticket(whatever they want to call it), and this scenerio right here could steal votes away from OBAMA, and NOT Romney, simply b/c the independent voters who voted for Obama in 2008 are obviously unhappy with him and shift to Ron Paul. As for Romney, I can still see him garnering the typical evangelical vote. After all, evangelicals DID back McCain(and even tried to spin how McCain was some conservative born again), so this type they could come up with spin like "At least Romney talks about Jesus, and God would be OK with it, b/c after all Obama openly taked about his Muslim faith unlike other Presidents". It's not just the independent voters here, b/c someone like Paul in the mix will EASILY steal momentum away from Obama the incumbent and then focus their positive attention toward Romney. It happened in 1992 when Ross Perot got thrown in the mix.

This is another way elections are rigged - not just the electronic voting machines, but throwing in 3rd party/multiple candidates in there(ie-think 1992 and 2000 when Ross Perot got votes away from Bush Sr and Ralph Nadar got plenty of votes away from Gore).

"Change"? Here we go again...

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/iowa-romney-campaigns-agent-change-133013494.html

In Iowa, Romney campaigns as an agent of change

SIOUX CITY, IOWA--The last time Mitt Romney visited Sioux City, he delivered a speech aimed squarely at the social conservatives who dominate the region. He spoke passionately about his "moral convictions" and family values and reiterated his opposition to abortion, amid criticism of his late-in-life conversion on the issue.

But that was four years ago.

When Romney made his return to Western Iowa on Thursday, abortion came up only once, during a slightly awkward back and forth with a woman who pressed Romney on his stance on birth control.

"I don't (oppose birth control)," Romney insisted, obviously eager to change the subject. "Life begins at conception; birth control prevents conception."

Romney quickly navigated the focus back to the economy, the driving issue behind his second bid for the White House, and very much his preferred topic on the campaign trail.

In appearances throughout the day on Thursday, Romney stood before voters talking up his private-sector experience. And, in a page straight out of Barack Obama's 2008 playbook, he cast himself as a change agent determined to get the nation back on track, in part by working with both Republicans and Democrats in Washington.

"I don't think he's a bad guy," Romney told voters in Sioux City on Thursday, referring to Obama. "I just think he's in over his head . . . . Leadership is hard. Reaching across the aisle to people who disagree with you and finding common ground, that's tough. He hasn't been able to do those things."

While Romney's critique wasn't new, the way he delivered it was. Again and again, he played up his experience as governor of Massachusetts, when he was forced to work with a heavily Democratic state legislature. The experience, he said, taught him to find compromise without sacrificing his principles. While Obama ran as a consensus builder in 2008, Romney argued that he actually knows to reach effective accommodations with people on the other side of a critical issue.

"I like the president," he insisted. "I think he's a nice guy. But he's never led before . . . . I'm not saying I have the answer to all things. There are a lot of things I can be educated on . . . . But I know leadership."

Obama was a frequent target during Romney's trip through the state Thursday, but the ex-governor seemed determined not to press his criticisms of the president too far. Likewise, he mentioned none of his GOP rivals by name—a notable move coming just two days after a contentious back and forth with Rick Perry and other opponents at the Republican debate in Las Vegas.

No doubt Romney is trying to avoid being labeled the "angry" candidate—a label that former rival Mike Huckabee successfully used against him in the run-up to Iowa's 2008 caucuses.

But Romney's move also suggests he's looking to woo independents and moderate swing voters—a group that helped put Obama over the top four years ago but appears to be up for grabs heading into 2012.

The former governor's message seemed to resonate with Matt Winter, an attorney from Sibley, Iowa, who drove 90 minutes to hear Romney speak in Sioux City on Thursday morning.

Winter, a moderate Republican who said he thinks of himself more as an "independent," had previously supported George W. Bush and admired Romney heading into 2008 because of his record in Massachusetts.

"I very much liked him . . . .  I thought he was a really good governor at working across the aisle," Winter told Yahoo News. "But I didn't think he brought that to the race four years ago."

In the end, he ended up crossing party lines to caucus for Obama, based on the Democratic candidate's message of change and consensus. But today, Winter says he's disillusioned with Obama because he feels the president didn't deliver on his promises of working with the opposing party. Now he's eying Romney again, whom he said might be the best choice for swing voters like himself.

"Circumstances have changed," he said. "The ability to talk across the aisle seems to have completely disappeared. As evidenced by what he said today, 'reaching across the aisle, reaching across the aisle,' I think Romney is coming back to his earlier message . . . which is where it seems he wants to be anyway."

On Thursday, Romney seemed to view the election as his to lose—even though his campaign has frequently insisted he isn't taking the primary campaign for granted. Speaking to a group of community leaders at a bank in tiny Treynor, Iowa, Romney seemed to be measuring the White House drapes.

"There's a good shot I might be the president of the United States," Romney said. "If I do, I will benefit from your thoughts."

http://news.yahoo.com/romney-wins-key-endorsement-nh-sen-ayotte-043918264.html

Romney wins key endorsement of NH Sen. Ayotte

PETERBOROUGH, N.H. (AP) — Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney is set to win the endorsement of New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte on Sunday.

Ayotte will make her endorsement official in a campaign stop with Romney in Nashua, according to a message sent to supporters late Saturday night.

"I will be working as hard as I can to help him secure the Republican nomination and, most importantly, ensure that Barack Obama is a one-term president," Ayotte wrote in a message distributed after news of the endorsement became public.

The endorsement represents a major pickup for Romney, who's already leading polls in the early primary state.

The 43-year-old Ayotte will become the first member of the New Hampshire congressional delegation to endorse a presidential contender.

"This is Gov. Romney's biggest endorsement in New Hampshire," said Steve Duprey, a New Hampshire member of the Republican National Committee.

Romney already enjoys the support of several prominent New Hampshire political figures, including former Gov. John H. Sununu and former Sen. Judd Gregg.

But New Hampshire Republicans say the backing of Ayotte, who won a landslide election just a year ago, gives Romney tremendous advantages.

"As the most popular Republican in the state, Kelly represents the future of our party," said Michael Dennehy, a local GOP operative who led Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign four years ago. "Very few endorsements matter in this process, but Sen. Ayotte's adds weight in New Hampshire and nationally."

Ayotte said electability was a factor in deciding which presidential hopeful to support.

"It is imperative that Republicans nominate our strongest candidate to face President Obama," she said.

Memo: Gingrich praised Romney health plan

12/27/11

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich once praised the health care law enacted in Massachusetts by then-Gov. Mitt Romney.

In an April 2006 memo, the former House speaker called it "the most exciting development of the past few weeks." Gingrich also said the law has "tremendous potential to effect major change in the American health system."

The memo from Gingrich's Atlanta-based Center for Health Transformation came to light Tuesday as the GOP candidate set out on a 22-stop bus tour of Iowa in the run-up to the state's Jan. 3 caucuses.

The memo also noted shortcomings in the Massachusetts law. Gingrich said the state's many regulations prohibited insurers from offering cheaper plans that would make coverage affordable.

But Gingrich went on to note that that "we agree entirely with Gov. Romney and Massachusetts legislators that our goal should be 100 percent insurance coverage for all Americans."

8:15pm CT on my end now - thus far, it's a neck-neck-neck race b/w Paul, Romney, and Santorum. Paul holding a VERY slight lead at this point, too close to call.

Yeah, I know, these elections are rigged. But found it interesting that there's a neck-neck-neck race at this point.

The NWO is doing one heck of a job deceiving the "patriot" crowd for the time being.

Personally, I think Romney has NH in the bag next week.

FYI, Santurum's Catholic.

Santorum, Romney tied in tight Iowa race

DES MOINES, Iowa (Reuters) - Republican presidential contenders Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney were effectively tied in the party's first nominating contest in Iowa on Tuesday, establishing Romney as the party's most likely challenger to Democratic President Barack Obama.

With 98 percent of precincts reporting the race was too close to call. Both candidates were tied at 25 percent and Ron Paul, a Texas congressman, was set to claim third place with 21 percent of the vote.

Iowa is better known for narrowing the field than picking a future president, and at least one candidate, Texas Governor Rick Perry, indicated his presidential bid may be over.

Iowa’s razor-thin result indicates a fierce battle for conservatives is ahead

DES MOINES, Iowa--Iowa may not pick presidents. It may not even pick Republican presidential nominees. But Iowa most certainly resets the nomination contest, something its voters did again on Tuesday with the state's closest caucus vote in history.

With Mitt Romney's razor-thin, eight-vote victory over Rick Santorum, Iowa has created a new pecking order for the primaries to come in New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida and beyond. And, as is often the case, it will be a campaign for the soul of the party.

Romney leaves Iowa in a stronger position to win his party's 2012 nomination than any of his competitors, but weaker than he would have been with a clean win. He will now have to contend with an intense round of questions about the limits of his support inside the base of the Republican Party.

The contours of the reshaped contest began to become clear in the hours before the caucuses and immediately after while the votes were tallied.  Santorum will take a two-pronged approach against Romney: He will sell himself as not only the more conservative candidate in the race, but also the one more likely to win over working-class Reagan Democrats with his blue-collar background.

Republican official: McCain to endorse Romney

1/3/12

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A Republican official says that 2008 GOP nominee John McCain is endorsing Mitt Romney for the party's 2012 nomination.

The official was not authorized to speak publicly about the endorsement and requested anonymity to discuss it.

The official says McCain's endorsement is scheduled to be announced Wednesday.

The endorsement is a signal by the GOP's one-time standard-bearer that Republicans should start falling in line behind the former Massachusetts governor.

It’s A Family Thing: Ancestry.com Finds that Romney and George W. Are Cousins

Believe it or not, Mitt Romney and George W. Bush are cousins — 10th cousins, twice removed, that is. Historians at Ancestry.com, the world’s largest online family-history resource, have discovered that Romney is actually related to six past presidents — more than any other 2012 GOP contestant. Franklin D. Roosevelt is his eighth cousin, twice removed, and both Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover are his 10th cousins. Then there is his sixth cousin (four times removed) Franklin Pierce, and both 10th cousins Bush I and II. Three out of these six were even (gasp!) Democrats.

(MORE: Top 10 Campaign-Debate Moments of 2011)

It turns out that presidential candidates often have Commander in Chief relatives, and this election cycle is no different, finds Ancestry.com after six months of research. Jon Huntsman is also related to FDR, Coolidge and the Bushes. And yes, his bloodline mirrors Romney’s because they too are cousins: Romney’s great-great-grandfather Parley Pratt, an early Mormon missionary, is Huntsman’s great-great-great-grandfather. The Romney-Huntsman–George W. Bush connection comes through Anne Marbury Hutchinson, who was a religious-freedom advocate in early 1600s. Rather fitting, since all three of them are still quite open about their faiths, be they Mormon or Evangelical.

Rick Perry has just one presidential relative: Harry Truman is his fifth cousin four times removed. But Perry shares Lone State pride and blood with Sam Houston, the famed President of the Republic of Texas from the 1830s. While Houston resigned as the governor rather than swear allegiance to the Confederacy, notes the report, Perry has many relatives who fought for the South during the Civil War.

True, in the end, America is the land of individuals — not of family trees. It’s who you are now, who you’ve made yourself to be that matters. But, in a roller-coaster primary season, a little “Oh yes, as my cousin FDR once said …” probably doesn’t hurt either.

Could the 2012 GOP nomination be drawing to a close? Candidates attack Romney, but fail to land lasting blows

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/two-debates-candidates-offensive-against-romney-fail-land-201912950.html

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- It is somewhat astonishing, if not unjustified, that although only a small slice of voters have cast ballots in a single state where the winner emerged with an 8-vote margin of victory, the dominant question hanging over the contest for the Republican nomination is, 'Is it over?'

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has been the major player here in the Granite State for the cycle so far. His slim victory in Iowa, bolstered by polls showing his opponents barely making a dent here and expanding support for him in South Carolina, makes for a formidable frontrunner status. So formidable, in fact, that it may be impossible to derail.

Naturally, the single biggest question heading into this weekend of back-to-back debates in New Hampshire was: what were Romney's opponents willing to do to alter the trajectory of his campaign?

"Nothing" seemed to be the answer to that question at the ABC/Yahoo debate on Saturday night. Yet by the time the candidates appeared on the NBC debate stage Sunday morning in Concord, the answer had changed.

In the opening moments of the debate, moderated by NBC's David Gregory, both Sen. Santorum and Speaker Gingrich seized  opportunities to chip away at Romney as a moderate, weak, unprincipled, and untruthful candidate for president.

Gingrich called himself a "bold Reagan conservative" in contrast to the "timid Massachusetts moderate" label he ascribed to Romney. Gingrich would not go as far to say that Romney is unelectable, but he made the case that Romney will have a tough time defeating President Obama because he doesn't provide as big, bold, and clear a contrast as Gingrich believes is required.

"I think he will have a very hard time getting elected," Gingrich said.

"He ran from Ronald Reagan and he said he was gonna be to the left just like Kennedy on gay rights and abortion, a whole host of other issues," Santorum said in reference to Romney's 1994 run for the US Senate in the Massachusetts.  "We want someone when the time gets tough--and it will in this election.  We want someone who's gonna stand up and fight for the conservative principles," he added.

Romney attempted to push back on the attacks coming his way by painting his competitors as life long politicians with no understanding of the real world economy because they lack his private sector business experience.

But Romney's argument was revealing in terms of how much he is willing to stretch to appear as an outsider to the political process. Romney claimed he didn't run for reelection in Massachusetts in 2006 because he had accomplished his goal of improving the state and that he decided to return to private business.

Yet, as Newt Gingrich quickly pointed out, Romney launched his presidential campaign almost immediately upon leaving the governor's office.

"Can we drop a little bit of the pious baloney?," Gingrich asked. "Just level with the American people," he added.

Christie handles protesters Jersey-style

EXETER, New Hampshire (Reuters) - Mitt Romney might want to take a lesson from Chris Christie on how to handle protesters at his Republican presidential campaign events.

When a gaggle of protesters interrupted Romney's campaign rally speech at an Exeter high school, Romney declared politely that it was "really unfortunate" and urged his supporters to get loud and drown out his opponents' chants.

"I'm happy to have you guys express your views," Romney told them as he campaigned days before the New Hampshire primary. "Next time do it with more courtesy."

The protesters kept on shouting "Mitt kills jobs" and some were escorted out, but the shouts did not stop.

Mitt Romney wins New Hampshire; Paul takes second, Huntsman third

MANCHESTER, N.H.--Mitt Romney won the New Hampshire primary Tuesday, the second state in a row he has carried in his campaign for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

Romney is the first Republican, not including incumbent presidents, to win both the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary since Iowa Republicans began holding their first-in-the-nation caucuses in 1976.

Ron Paul came in second; Jon Huntsman in third.

It was a start-to-finish victory for Romney in New Hampshire, who led in the polls here throughout the 2012 campaign. Romney owns a summer home in the state, which borders his home state of Massachusetts, where he served as governor from 2003 to 2007.

I was reading up on Kundalini and the New Apostle Reformation last night, and was thinking about the current GOP primaries while doing so...

Is it just me, or does anyone else think the NAR folks who are pushing helping to push these globalist plans(albeit with an outward Christian appearance) did NOT expect Romney to get this far(and likely grab the GOP nom)? Remember the prayer event with Perry in Houston last year, and of course 2 of their other favorites are Gingrich and Santorum.(yeah, I know they're Catholics, but nonetheless...). It was as if they were really pushing hard for these 3 guys(at one point, Perry and Gingrich had leads in the polls, and Santorum ALMOST pulled out Iowa but didn't b/c of a mere 8 votes - now Gingrich has fallen back to earth after a late surge, and Perry's popularity last year was nothing more than 15 minutes of fame).

Yeah, I know the "religious right" didn't call out Romney's mormon beliefs et al, but still...it's as if Romney's success has taking the NAR folks et al by surprise. You read the comments by some of these NAR folks, and it's as if the cat got their tongue.

Either way, these people are deceived, and no surprise that they are taking by surprise as such b/c they ARE suffering their own consequences. They have no idea Jesus Christ is on the throne and is in control.

Psalms 2 is really come to mind now.

anything is possible. I think they throw a couple of different puppets into the mix and than wait to see which ones the sheeple will follow. I mean there was and still is no difference between Obama, Hillary Clinton and McCain.

True. All cut from the same cloth. The way I see it, although clowns may have different face paint and outfits, they're still clowns.

Thought I would add this too...

Judgement must begin at the house of the Lord...

Since the 80's, the modern day church(ie-Churchianity) bought into the deceptions that the so-called GOP has been the party of "conservative Christians", and ended up following the coattails of all these "prominent evangelical right" leaders...by voting Republican, by diving into political activism(all the moral social issues), etc, etc. I mean it came to a point where they had NO discernment when it came to supporting political candidates(ie-both Reagan and Bush Jr were painted as true born agains, but were Luciferians), and all of their political activism work did NOT lead the lost to the cross and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is just my opinion, but maybe this is why Mitt Romney is being thrown at the GOP. This could be part of God's judgement that is beginning at the house of the Lord. It just seems like very 4 years, they will make the same mistake - they even somehow thought John McCain was some true born again Christian(when they wrote him off to the contrary in 2000 when he was running in the GOP primaries). So it will be interesting to see how they react to Romney when all is said and done.

It looks like he is going to be the nominee, with Paul most likely going to run as an independent to suck votes away from Mitt so we will have Obama again.
