The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Yona Metzger, has called for the creation of a world body with representatives from the major religious groups.

Yona Metzger (Hebrew: יונה מצגר‎; born 1953) is the Ashke**** Chief Rabbi of Israel. His counterpart is Rabbi Shlomo Amar, the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel since their appointments in 2003.

Rabbi Metzger was addressing the International Congress of Imams and Rabbis for Peace in Seville, Spain.

He called for the formation of a "United Nations of religious groups".

The Imam of Gaza, Imad al-Faluji, said politicians lied but religious leaders had a different objective - to work towards a higher good.

The imams and rabbis at this conference, which opened on Sunday, say the world is in crisis and it is time they acted to restore justice, respect and peace.

Straight talking

The delegates have made it very clear that now is the time for concrete initiatives. At the opening ceremony Rabbi Yona Metzger said his idea of a "United Nations of religious groups" could "bring a bridge between religions to help the bridge of the diplomatic way".

Comments from Pastor Malone on this From Calvary Prophecy

He shared his idea while addressing the International Congress Of Imams And Rabbis For Peace in Spain. He stated that the imams and rabbis at this conference are very concerned that "the world is in crisis and it is time they acted to restore justice, respect and peace".

Actually, a United Nations of Religion is already in the works. Author and globalism expert Tal Brooke in his book One World statesthat we have been heading for a one-world religion for sometime. Here is an excerpt from his book:

"Religious differences are seen as the final barrier, separating various ethnic populations. Until these differences are broken down, divergent cultures will never fully meld into a One World Order.

Preparation for religious fusion has been well under way for quite some time. Recently, things have speeded up with talk of a United Religions, a UR, mirroring the United Nations.

An international Who’s Who of statesmen, intellectuals and financial leaders met on June 25, 1995 at the U.N.’s 50th anniversary in San Francisco at Grace Cathedral. At the key ceremony, it was revealed that Mikhail Gorbachev, the former head of the Soviet Union, had the backing of world leaders to set up a United Nations sister organization in San Francisco called the United Religions. Modeled on the U.N., it would have a 500-member assembly, a 36-member executive council, and a general secretary. Multi-faith peacemaker teams would be dispatched around the world by the “U.R.” to trouble spots, just like the U.N. In the summer of 2000, in Pittsburgh, the charter for the United Religions was signed right on schedule.

Is it any mystery, then, that perhaps the most powerful force to move across the church in 2000 years is now trying to prepare the way for such a global religion? The momentum of this ecumenical movement is astounding. From another angle, the New Age and Neo-pagan alternatives are perfect fits for this grand spiritual synthesis. When Christianity absorbs the new spiritualities, then it will be ripe for a merger."

To Quote Brother Marco Ponce, QUOTE, "Muslims believe their messiah/mahdi will be setting up global Sharia Law from Jerusalem and he will be aided by prophet isa (muslim fake jesus) and who aids the the 1st Beast in Revelation 13? The 2nd Beast that came from the earth (Israel) and looked like a lamb (JESUS!) but spake like a Dragon. Get ready to get your head decapitated by that mahdi jihad army brother for not submitting." END-QUOTE.

Vatican thanks Muslims for bringing God back into the public eye in Europe

The Vatican has thanked Muslims for bringing God back into the public sphere in Europe.

Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Catholic Church's department for interfaith contacts, said religion was now talked and written about more than ever before in today's Europe.
'It's thanks to the Muslims,' he said in a speech printed in Friday's L'Osservatore Romano, the official daily of the Vatican.

'Muslims, having become a significant minority in Europe, were the ones who demanded space for God in society.'
Vatican officials have long bemoaned the secularisation of Europe, where church attendance has dwindled dramatically in recent decades, and urged a return to its historically Christian roots.

But Tauran said no society had only one faith.
'We live in multicultural and multi-religious societies, that's obvious,' he told a meeting of Catholic theologians in Naples.

'There is no civilisation that is religiously pure.'
Tauran's positive speech on interfaith dialogue came after a remark by Pope Benedict prompted media speculation that the Vatican was losing interest in it.

Some Jewish leaders reacted with expressions of concern and the Vatican denied any change.
The 'return of God' is clearly seen in Tauran's native France, where Europe's largest Muslim minority has brought faith questions such as women's headscarves into the political debate after decades when they were considered strictly private issues.

Tauran said religions were 'condemned to dialogue,' a practice he called 'the search for understanding between two subjects, with the help of reason, in view of a common interpretation of their agreement and disagreement.'
That seemed to clarify Benedict's statement on Sunday that interfaith dialogue was 'not possible in the strict sense of the word'.

Church officials said a strict definition would include the option that one side is ultimately convinced by the other.
Dialogue participants could not give up their religious convictions, Tauran said, but should be open to learning about the positive aspects of each others' faith.
'Every religion has its own identity, but I agree to consider that God is at work in all, in the souls of those who search for him sincerely,' he said.
'Inter-religious dialogue rallies all who are on the path to God or to the Absolute.'
The uncertainty about the Vatican view coincided with increasing contacts among world religions.
Early this month, the Vatican held a pioneering conference with a delegation from the 'Common Word' group of Muslim scholars who invited Christian churches to a new dialogue.
A week later, Saudi King Abdullah gathered world leaders at the United Nations as part of a dialogue he launched with a conference of faith leaders in Madrid last July.
Christianity and Islam are the world's two largest faiths, with two billion and 1.3 billion followers respectively.

The latest interfaith efforts are meant to counter growing tensions between these two after the September 11 attacks.

An Indian prelate, speaking after the Mumbai attacks began, said in Rome that a lack of courage to meet across faith lines was often behind religious violence in his country.
Archbishop Felix Machado of Nashik diocese, just east of Mumbai, told Italian priests the violence was caused by 'inequality, a lack of justice and understanding and, above all, a lack of courage to dialogue,' the Vatican daily reported.

Islam: Muslims pin hopes on Vatican interfaith talks

Rome, 3 Nov. (AKI) - Muslim scholars due to meet Pope Benedict XVI and Vatican officials in Rome on Tuesday hope the landmark talks will help defuse continuing tensions between Islam and Christianity. Milanese imam Yahya Pallavicini is part of the delegation of Muslim scholars taking part in the first round of interfaith talks with the Vatican.

"In the Islamic world, there are high hopes that the talks will present a great opportunity for dialogue,"Pallavicini, vice-president of the Islamic Religious Community in Italy , told Adnkronos International (AKI).

Closed-door talks are taking place on Tuesday on 'Love of God and Love of One's Neighbour' and on 'Human Dignity and Mutual Respect' on Wednesday.

The Vatican is keen to discuss the question of religious freedom in Muslim countries, although this is not a precondition for dialogue, Cardinal Jean-Louis Taurand, the Catholic Church's top interfaith official, told French daily La Croix.

On Thursday, the Pope will receive participants which will conclude with a public discussion at Rome's Gregorian University and the release of a concluding statement.

Twenty-four Muslim scholars led by the Grand Mufti of Bosnia, Mustafa Ceric, will attend the talks. They are representing the Common World Group, a broad coalition of Muslim leaders and scholars who are pursuing dialogue between the world's two largest religions.

A total 275 prominent Muslims have now signed The Common World Manifesto, a document urging Christian churches to reach mutual understanding to safeguard global security, based on shared principles of love of God and neighbour.

The letter was drafted by the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought, and was originally signed by a total of 138 scholars from every Muslim sect.

Catholic-Muslim relations soured after a 2006 speech in Germany in which Benedict XVI quoted a 14th century Byzantine emperor's criticism of Islam, linking it to violence.

A year earlier, violent protest broke out in Muslim countries after a Danish daily printed cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed. Over 50 people died in deadly clashes, which the Common Word Group claims could have been averted had Christians and Muslims jointly denounced the violence.

"Our delegation intends to take forward and promote dialogue with the Roman Catholic Church that respects the identity of both faiths, but which can promote brotherhood under a single God and uphold human dignity worldwide," said Pallavicini.

The Muslim delegation contains Shias and Sunnis and includes Iranian scholar, Syyed Hussein Nasr, and the Iranian ayatollah Seyyed Mustafa Mohaghegh Damad, as well as Swiss intellectual, Tariq Ramadan, the president of the Islamic Society of North America, Ingrid Mary Mattson, and the president of the UK Association of Muslim Social Scientists, Anas S. Al-Shaeikh-Ali.

Tauran, head of the Vatican's top interfaith body, the Pontifical Concil for Interreligious Dialogue, will lead the Catholic delegation at the talks. This is made up of 24 Vatican officials and Catholic experts on Islam including Miguel Angel Aysuso Guixot, president of Italy's top Islamic studies institute, the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI).

"For us, it is important that we can have a genuine exchange of ideas with the Pope, which there will be. Benedict XVI has agreed to receive all participants at the talks and to engage with them," Pallavicini told AKI.

There are around two billion Christians worldwide, just over half of them Catholic, and 1.3 billion Muslims.

Vatican's interfaith summit tests fight against extremism
Mike Gonyea
Next Tuesday will be historic not only because America will elect its first black president or first female vice president, but also because Pope Benedict XVI will convene the most important interfaith conference in recent history.

Responding to his controversial 2006 speech -- in which he seemed to imply that Islam is inherently violent -- 138 Muslim leaders sent an open letter to Benedict and the heads of other Christian denominations that said, in effect, "we need to talk." The Vatican subsequently formed a new Catholic-Muslim Forum. Its first meeting will be held on election day.

Islamica magazine explained the letter's significance: "All eight schools of thought and jurisprudence in Islam are represented by (its) signatories. In this respect, the letter is unique in the history of interfaith relations."

There are countless similarities between Islam and Christianity. There are also important differences. Without a basic understanding of these differences, productive dialogue can't happen, and common solutions to taming extremism will remain elusive.

Both Islam and Christianity hold that God exists within all he has created.

But Islam holds that God is absolutely transcendent. He is so great he exists beyond humanity's capacity to comprehend Him. Christianity holds that God is separate from the universe He created, but man can come to know God, even if imperfectly.

Christian scholars have argued that because the God of Islam is unknowable, and because the Quran contains his literal word, there's no place for reason in the practice of Islam.

Islamic scholars argue that although Muslims don't interact directly with God, they do interpret his perfect word and apply it in their daily lives in different ways.

They point out that there is not a single Islam any more than there is a single Christianity. Most scholars interpret the Quran and the hadith through a historic lens that takes into account the language, culture and the society of the time when it was recorded.

There is a rift within Islam between progressives who believe the Quran must be interpreted in context, and fundamentalists who believe His literal word as conveyed to Mohammad through the Archangel Gabriel in the 7th century cannot be subjected to such analysis. This rift is proving difficult for Muslims to reconcile.

There is more than enough scriptural evidence for the Muslim middle, progressives and fundamentalists alike, to know the Quran extols peaceful behavior, that jihad is essentially a spiritual struggle for the eternal soul and justifiable as a physical war only in self-defense.

But among the fundamentalists resides a small group of extremists who cherry pick the parts of the Quran that support their violent cause and use the concept of God as absolutely transcendent to fend off anyone who might question them.

Next week, a broad cross section of Muslim leaders have the opportunity for the first time to condemn the extremists for using the Islamic belief that God is transcendent to sell a twisted interpretation of the Quran as his unquestionable will.

Benedict has the opportunity to lead members of both faiths to universal agreement on what it means to be faithful to God. This agreement can then serve as a platform for active interfaith cooperation in the fight against religious extremism, a fight that must be won.

"Too Many" Interfaith Dialogues: Vatican

IslamOnline.net & News Agencies

"There's a risk of overlapping," Tauran said. (Google Photo)

VATICAN CITY — The Vatican believes there are "to many" interfaith overtures which could lead to overlapping and confusion, noting that participants involved do not speak one voice.
"In my opinion, there are too many Christian-Muslim initiatives," Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, told Reuters.

"Everybody's doing it. One doesn't know where this will go."

Tauran said the Vatican had several established and unlinked dialogues with Al-Azhar, the highest seat of religious learning in the Sunni world,  Shiites in Iran and the World Islamic Call Society in Libya.

He contends that though it could be seen as a good phenomenon, it bears a lot of risks.

"That proves there is a great interest, but it sows a bit of confusion.

"There's a risk of overlapping…It may be the price to pay for all this interest that interreligious dialogue incites."

The Vatican hosted last week a three-day landmark meeting with Muslim scholars, the first since both sides agreed in March to establish a forum to meet regularly to bridge their gap.

Tauran and other Vatican representatives would take part on Wednesday and Thursday in a Saudi-initiated, UN-sponsored interfaith gathering in New York.

King Abdullah bin Abdelaziz has initiated an ambitious campaign early this year to enhance dialogue among followers of all faiths.

A broad interfaith conference was also held in Madrid last July.

Muslim scholars and intellectuals last year directed an open letter to Christian spiritual leaders for dialogue between the two Abrahimic faiths.

No Single Voice

Tauran, the Vatican's top official for interfaith contacts, said all dialogues still lack a united voice.

"There is no single voice. For the moment, it's not possible."

A broad spectrum of churches recently met near Geneva to try to get an overview of how each is interacting with Islam, but till now no coordination has since been made between them.

The French-born cardinal said hailed the Muslim Common Word group, which organized last week meeting, for representing both Sunnis and Shiites.

"There is a desire to represent the Islamic world…It is broader than others."

Tauran said he was most struck by the openness and mutual respect that prevailed despite clearly stated differences.

"What's important is that this continues."

INTERFAITH UNITY IS THE END GOAL FOR ROME

THE POPE'S CAREFUL PREPARATIONS "NO HELL": POPE

ST. JOHN'S, NFLD.- 7.29.99 - A hell without fire and brimstone. That's the Roman Catholic Church's latest view on what life in the hereafter might be like. And it comes straight from the Pope. The Pope made the statement yesterday in the Vatican City.

At this morning's mass at the basilica of St. John's, news of the Pope's statement caught most of the people completely by surprise. "The Pope said what?" asked one man. "I'd have to see it before I believe it." For centuries the popular image of the wrath of God has been fire, brimstone, and every imaginable - and unimaginable - horror. The modern teaching of the Catholic church does not refer to hell as a place.

So, for many practicing Catholics, like Frank O'Leary, the Pope has simply confirmed what they believe anyway. "A lot of these things are metaphorical," he says. "I never really thought of heaven as a physical place. It is not surprising to me that the Holy Father would point out that hell is not physical in the sense of this physical plane that we're on right now."

The Pope isn't saying there's no hell at all. He's saying that hell is the state of eternal torment a soul ends up in when it cuts itself off from God. And so another piece of religious folklore gives way to the rational mood of our times. It was only last year that Catholics heard from their Pope about the need to build more bridges between faith and reason. And just last week he set the record straight about heaven. Not as a place in the clouds but as a state of eternal union with God.

A MESSAGE OF TOLERANCE

Pope, Dalai Lama Lead INTERFAITH Gathering

VATICAN CITY, (The Associated Press By Ellen Knickmeyer) Oct. 28 1999 With Pope John Paul II presiding next to the Dalai Lama, representatives of 20 of the world's faiths closed a millennium-ending gathering today with a forceful denunciation of religious extremism.

Assembled in St. Peter's Square, the 200 clergy and lay people appealed to world leaders to refuse to allow religion to be used to incite hatred and violence. Pope John Paul II shakes hands with Tibet's exiled spiritual leader the Dalai Lama at the end of Interreligious Assembly in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican.

Participants from various faiths attended the assembly. Any use of religion to support violence is an abuse of religion, John Paul said in his final message to the four-day council, speaking to a crowd of red- and orange-robed Asian monks, Catholic priests in black cassocks, Muslim women in head scarfs and Africans and American Indians in the traditional clothing of their own countries.

A Mixture of Blessings [?]

Beyond the message of tolerance it produced, the council was remarkable for the scenes it brought to a bastion of Christianity: An American Indian pivoting in the center of the square at sunset, blessing the four corners of the earth from the heart of Rome. Muslims spreading out newspapers in the marble colonnade to kneel toward Mecca and pray.

If you want to know what this accomplished, I'll tell you this, said Rabbi Ron Kronish. This morning at coffee, a colleague from a neighboring country I won't say which one, but I'm from Israel told me, 'This is the first time in my life I ever met a Jew.'

John Paul summoned representatives of the world's religions to the Vatican for one last try during this millennium at cooperation to solve common problems of the world's people.

The council is opposed by traditionalists in many religions, made uneasy at seeing their faith put on an equal footing with others. The first Vatican interfaith council, at Assisi in 1986, was a factor in the only formal Catholic schism of this century, when hard-liners in the church in France broke away from the Vatican.

This second meeting, 13 years later, stressed the differences between religions but denounced exploiting them for violent ends. Twenty-six Buddhists from West and East alike were among the believers taking part in the council, but, notably, the list included none from mainland China.
Tibet's spiritual leader in exile, the Dalai Lama, joined the last hours of the ceremony, sitting next to John Paul on the steps of St. Peter's in the candlelit closing ceremony.

POPE JOHN PAUL II KISSES THE KORAN

November 4, 1999 (David W. Cloud, Fundamental Baptist Information Service, 1701 Harns Rd., Oak Harbor, WA 98277) - In May 1999, during an audience granted to three Muslims at the Vatican, Pope John Paul II bowed to the Muslim holy book, the Koran, and kissed it (Christian News, Oct. 18, 1999, p. 16).

The three Muslims were the Shiite Imam of Khadum mosque, the Sunni president of the Iraqi Islamic Bank, and a representative of the Iraqi ministry of religion. The photo of the gesture has been shown repeatedly on Iraqi television.
The Pope is diligently building the end time apostate "church" of Revelation 17.

INDIA – VATICAN

Let the spirit of Regensburg enter inter-faith dialogue, says Mgr Dabre
by Nirmala Carvalho
The bishop of Vasai, who yesterday was appointed to the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious by Benedict XVI, talks to AsiaNews about the importance of the Pope’s Regensburg ‘lectio’ in which he laid down the bases for a true and fruitful dialogue between religions. This is especially fundamental in Asia where 95 per cent of the people are not Christian.

Mumbai (AsiaNews) – Inter-faith dialogue “has to be an urgent priority for the Church,” above all “since the Second Vatican Council earnest efforts have been made by the Episcopal conferences.” This is true especially in Asia where 95 per cent of the population is not Christian, but where the “Church plays a fundamental role in the areas of health care and education,” said Mgr Thomas Dabre, bishop of Vasai, who yesterday was appointed to the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious by Benedict XVI.

Speaking to AsiaNews, Bishop Dabre said that the Pope made it a “key principle of his pontificate” as clearly demonstrated in his famous lectio magistralis in Regensburg. His “speech was a clarion call for dialogue between religions and faith on the one hand and reason and science on the other.”

For the Pope, “Western intellectuals [. . .] should be open to other civilizations and the societies who believe in God.” In turn, “[r]eligion must be open to reason and reason must be open to faith. Religion must be reasonable and reason must be open to faith.”

Instead, “Some in the West have exclusively emphasised the role of reason, science and technology neglecting the positive contribution that religions and faith can make to humanity. In fact [in his Regensburg speech] the Pope was telling Western intellectuals that they should be open to other civilisations and the societies who believe in God.”

Benedict XVI described religion as “a fundamental ingredient for dialogue in which faith is open to science and science to faith. Unfortunately some did not correctly understand the intention of the author (the Pope) and its great meaning.”

Yet, the Pope’s visit to Turkey was proof of its effectiveness. A pontiff visited a Muslim place of worship in “a spirit of openness and respect” with positive results.

Interfaith dialogue is very important from the perspective of globalisation since it places all confessions on a same level with the same challenges like materialism, “hedonism, profit making and earthly prosperity. The needs of the soul are not in focus in the globalisation of today” and this harms everyone. “Religions can work together to solve these problems which often cause violence and tensions.”

Lastly according to Bishop Dabre, to live in peace we are called to collaborate and engage in dialogue. “A spiritual guide, of whatever religion, must understand the value of introspection, ask questions and offer answers. Only this way can we reach true peace, which rests on recognising that God is the author of man’s dignity.”

U.N. plans to bring together 1,000 world religious leaders

By Larry Witham, THE WASHINGTON TIMES, July 14, 2000

A global summit bringing 1,000 religious leaders to the United Nations will disclose some participants next week, good news to U.N. officials eager to plan security and protocol for the unprecedented Aug. 28-29 event.  The "working list" to be issued Tuesday will not include personages such as Pope John Paul II and probably not the Dalai Lama, who reports no invitation.  But the Vatican's Cardinal Francis Arinze, a Nigerian, will make the trek to New York City as will spiritual leaders from countries such as Peru who have never before left their native soils.

"The leaders we've met in Africa, and Europe and Asia and Russia understand the opportunity," said Dena Merriam, a vice chairman of the summit.  "The challenge is to have so many top leaders, and they all have something to say," she said.  Miss Merriam, who has traveled with the summit's Secretary-General Bawa Jain to enlist participants, noted that even heads of state are given no more than five minutes to make remarks at the United Nations.

The Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders is organized by an "independent coalition" of interfaith leaders, and is being held in a year when nongovernmental organizations, or NGOs, are seeking use of the General Assembly chamber more than usual.
"We're hoping in the next two weeks that their program will begin to gel," a U.N. official said.
"Any event that takes place in the General Assembly room requires major concern for security, protocol, the political [aspects], and making sure the program is compatible with the work of the United Nations," he said.

NGO use of the chamber averages about four times a year, but this year it will be roughly 10 times.
The Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders opens Aug. 28 with an afternoon procession into the General Assembly and sessions all the next day.  It moves for two more days to the nearby Waldorf Astoria hotel.  The summit was announced last October after "conversations" between media mogul Ted Turner and U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who will address the session of "the world's pre-eminent" spiritual leaders.

One casualty of the inevitable political delicacies may be the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibet. China holds one of five permanent seats on the U.N. Security Council and long has opposed his speaking at the United Nations.  "His Holiness has not been invited to the summit," an Office of Tibet spokeswoman in New York said Thursday.

The religious leaders are expected to issue a Declaration for World Peace and agree to some form of a permanent International Advisory Council of Religious and Spiritual Leaders.  Mr. Turner, the summit's honorary chairman, has promised full live coverage by CNN.  The chairman of the top advisory board is Canadian businessman Maurice Strong, who ran the U.N. Earth Summit in 1992, and a vice president of the summit's executive counsel is former Sen. Timothy Wirth, Colorado Democrat, who now heads Mr. Turner's grant-giving United Nations Foundation.

Other vice presidents are Gillian Sorenson, assistant to Mr. Annan, and the Rev. James Morton, an Episcopal priest with the Interfaith Center of New York.  A midtown Manhattan office near the United Nations has been the hub of the yearlong effort inviting notable people from 12 world traditions, from the monotheistic faiths to Zoroastrianism, indigenous religions and Confucianism.  Funding comes from 11 sponsors, which include the Better World Fund of Mr. Turner and the Templeton, Carnegie and Rockefeller Brothers foundations. Summit organizers would not yet disclose a budget.

Dialogue among civilizations — New York Declaration to commend Saudi interfaith initiative
P.K. Abdul Ghafour I Arab News

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah holds talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah in New York on

JEDDAH/NEW YORK: World leaders have started arriving in New York for the landmark UN General Assembly meeting on the Culture of Peace, which will emphasize the need to respect all cultures and reject the exploitation of religious faiths to kill innocent people.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, who initiated the interfaith dialogue by organizing a major conference in July in the Spanish capital Madrid, will address the UN meeting tomorrow. According to one UN source, about 50 world leaders and heads of state have confirmed their participation in the meeting.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will hold a news conference today in order to highlight the significance of the Culture of Peace Conference in strengthening cooperation between member countries, ending disputes and promoting the peaceful coexistence of nations. “The New York Declaration will commend Saudi Arabia’s initiative in holding the conference. It will reject the use of religious faith to justify the killing of innocent people and emphasize the need to respect various religious faiths and cultures and their leaders,” one source said.

The participants are expected to call for promoting a culture of tolerance and mutual understanding through dialogue. They will also support the proposals of religious leaders, civil societies and UN member countries to deepen a culture of dialogue among different faiths.

King Abdullah, who was the first world leader to arrive in New York for the conference, yesterday met Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah and discussed major regional and global developments as well as the agenda of the UN peace and interfaith conference.

US President George W. Bush, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, Israeli President Shimon Peres, King Abdallah of Jordan, Philippine President Gloria Arroyo, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the 57-member Organization of the Islamic Conference, are expected at the conference.

Saleh Bin-Humaid, president of the Shoura Council, yesterday praised the Saudi king for taking the initiative to promote interfaith dialogue at global level. “This reflects King Abdullah’s desire to achieve world peace and stability and spread Islamic culture that calls for dialogue, tolerance and respect for other cultures,” he said during an address to a regular Shoura meeting in Riyadh.

Saudi officials highlighted the importance of the UN conference and said it would promote peaceful coexistence and condemn extremism. “This hits at the extremists, who we say are wrong in terms of Islam,” said Mohammed Al-Zulfa, a member of the Shoura. He described King Abdullah as an advocate of interfaith dialogue. “Our king has a good vision of world peace.” Al-Zulfa said Islam was the first religion to call for dialogue.

Pakistan announced yesterday that President Asif Ali Zardari would attend the conference. “Pakistan fully supports the initiative of King Abdullah for interfaith and intercultural dialogue to promote peace, understanding, and tolerance among human beings as well as respect for all their diverse religious, cultural and linguistic identities,” said the Foreign Office in Islamabad.

Pope: Dialogue among religions should be pursuedBy ALESSANDRA RIZZO ; Associated Press Writer Published: November 24th, 2008 06:39 AM | Updated: November 24th, 2008 07:09 AMVATICAN CITY -- Jewish and Muslim leaders on Monday cautiously praised recent remarks by Pope Benedict XVI, who said that dialogue among faiths should be pursued even though it is impossible on strictly religious issues.
The comments in an open letter published Sunday in Italy's leading daily, Corriere della Sera, marked the latest statement by Benedict on the subject.

The pontiff has often discussed the theme of dialogue among religions and has worked for the improvement of interfaith relations.

But he also angered many Muslims in a 2006 speech about Islam and violence, although relations have improved since then.

In his letter, the pope was commenting on an upcoming book by a conservative politician and scholar, Marcello Pera, who has long spoken in defense of Europe's Christian roots.

The pope said the book "explains clearly that an interreligious dialogue in the strict sense of the word is not possible." The pope elaborated that "real dialogue" on religious choices is not possible "without putting one's faith in parentheses."

But he said that "it's necessary to face, in a public dialogue, the cultural consequences of fundamental religious choices."

"Here, dialogue, as well as mutual correction and enrichment, are both possible and necessary," Benedict wrote.

Since becoming pope in 2005, Benedict has made improving interfaith relations a theme of his pontificate. He has visited synagogues during trips to Germany and the United States, and a mosque during a visit to Turkey.

Earlier this month, the Vatican hosted a Catholic-Muslim conference intended to help the two faiths find common ground.

The Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, said Benedict's words do "not put in doubt the pope's interreligious commitment."

"(Interreligious) dialogue does not mean questioning one's own faith," Lombardi said. "It deals with the many other aspects that come from one's personal belief, cultural, historical ... as well as their consequences."

Rome's chief rabbi, Riccardo Di Segni, welcomed the pope's remarks "for their clarity." He said the comments were "opportune and interesting" in that they set the limits of religious dialogue.

"Faiths cannot hold dialogue beyond a certain point because there are insurmountable limits," Di Segni told The Associated Press on Monday. "This is a limit to all religious dialogue: It's not like a political negotiation where I give you this and that and we make peace. It's not like we give up dogmas."

Di Segni, however, urged clarification on certain elements in the pope's remarks, such as where to draw the line between religious dialogue as opposed to cultural dialogue.

"He has set the limits, which were necessary. We must then see where it goes from there," the Jewish leader said.

A spokesman for an Italian Muslim Group, UCOII, also called for further clarification. He told Corriere della Sera that "dialogue among believers exists: We don't hold a dialogue on our faiths ... but we do on how we can coexist, each in our diversity."

The UN Interfaith Dialogue

Those who are smirking about President Gloria Arroyo’s attendance of the Special United Nations General Assembly on Interfaith Dialogue to discuss the “Culture of Peace” should realize the event’s importance.

The Philippines is the first country to endorse this worthy undertaking to the United Nations after it was started by Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, who has been at the forefront of efforts to promote global peace and harmony.

The Philippines itself has been holding interfaith dialogues. It has successfully urged other Asean countries to do so as a means to promote peace and understanding.

King Abdullah is of course pleased that the project that he initiated in Madrid has now been picked up by the United Nations. For two days, the UN General Assembly will concentrate—we hope the believers among them will pray—on friendship, brotherhood, cooperation and genuine respect for the dignity of fellowmen (and women) even if they do not belong to the same religion.

The Saudi king himself acknowledges that the holding of interfaith dialogues is not his own idea and that it is in fact not new. Many similar dialogues have been held before. What makes the Saudi initiative needful in our time is that it also encourages other Muslim and Arab countries to believe in it, to join in the process of being one in attempting to get to know and understand other people without being repelled by the thought that they are Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, animists or some other kind of “infidel.”

Faisal bin Muammar is the secretary-general of the King Abdul Aziz National Dialogue Center. While addressing the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group at the Jeddah Conference Palace, he said of this first UN General Assembly special session for the Interfaith Dialogue: “This is an international achievement for Saudi Arabia and for those who work for promoting dialogue between various religious faiths and ideologies.”

Call for religious tolerance

King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz has been calling on Muslims to exercise religious tolerance, telling them that attending dialogue for peace and harmony such as those organized by his Interfaith Dialogue Initiative is the duty of every human being.

The King has also been urging fellow Muslims to reach out to non-Muslims as a way to show that Islam is not a violent religion. That is what he has been doing and his attendance of the UN General Assembly special dialogue will once more show that he wishes to give an example by deeds.

He also said that this UN dialogue “comes at a time when the world is criticizing Islam.” He added, “It is regrettable that some of our sons have been tempted by Satan or brothers of Satan,” obviously referring to Islamist militants who have carried out terrorist attacks against nonMuslims around the world.

“Nothing can purify [Islam’s reputation],” said King Abdullah, “except for the extension of Muslims’ hands to their brothers in other religions.”

King Abdullah has not just taken a leading role in bringing adherents of different sects and religions together. He has also in the past few years taken steps to encourage dialogue between his kingdom’s Sunni majority and Shiite minority.

Among the world leaders attending the UN General Assembly meeting today and tomorrow (November 12 to 13) is Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari. Troubled by violent Islamists and parts of it said to be held by allies giving comfort and shelter to Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda officers, Pakistan formally supports efforts to promote global peace and harmony among people of diverse faith and culture.

Pakistan, a Muslim majority country, has expressed its full support for the Saudi king’s initiative “for inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogue to promote peace, understanding, and tolerance” among human beings and respect for their diverse religious, cultural and linguistic identities.

Perhaps President Zardari, whose aide have announced that he would also hold bilateral meetings with heads of states attending the session, will have a meeting with our president. Pakistan and the Philippines have many reasons to be closer in trade and diplomacy than they are now.

First Catholic-Muslim Forum

One of the offshoots of the Saudi initiative is last week’s first-ever Catholic-Muslim Forum sponsored by the Vatican.

Participants in that forum were received in audience by Pope Benedict XVI, who told them “Catholics and Muslims must show the common belief that we are members of one family loved by God our Creator, and uphold the dignity of every human person.”

The forum was attended by 29 members of each creed. It was organized by the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue and representatives of the 138 Muslim leaders who sent an open letter to Benedict XVI and other Christian leaders in October 2007.

The Pope assured the participants of his prayerful attention to the progress of the seminar. He expressed the awareness “that it represents one more step along the way towards greater understanding between Muslims and Christians within the framework of other regular encounters which the Holy See promotes with various Muslim groups.”

Benedict XVI acknowledged the recent increase in dialogue, initiatives and meetings between Catholic and Muslim groups, and expressed the hope that the First Catholic-Muslim Forum would motivate all involved to pass on its positive reflections on love to all people in order to effectively change their daily lives.

Hindu-Christian Interfaith Dialogue :

A Few Glimpses

Dr. Shantilal K. Somaiya

I have great pleasure in extending a warm and hearty welcome to His Grace Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, President, Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue, Vatican; His Eminence Cardinal Ivan Dias, Archbishop of Mumbai; H. E. Cardinal Simon Pimenta and Msgr. Felix Machado, Under Secretary, Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue, Vatican and all other dignitaries on the dais.

India is the birthplace of many faiths and has accommodated and nourished multiple religions. She has provided a common roof to major world religions for their sustenance and growth. The intricate mosaic of diverse faiths, beliefs, traditions and languages in India is indeed amazing.

India cherishes the values of non-violence, detachment, frugal living, non-covetousness, love and compassion to all living beings. Veneration of elders, hospitality, simplicity and peaceful coexistence are some of the commendable features of Indian Culture.

The plurality of faiths in India has made her receptive towards all religions. By and large Indians are not only religious by their nature but they also freely partake of the practices of all religions and thus manifest in their daily lives, unity in diversity.

The religions have to undergo change in changing times. Sir Arthur Keith says, “No creed is final. Such a creed as mine must grow and change”. One may argue that religion is God-made phenomenon and hence man cannot and should not interfere with it; rather he has to make an attempt to fit in its design. However one cannot deny the reforms that take place from time to time in religions in order to respond to the changing world. If a religion remains static it would lose its relevance for the life of mankind.

If we peep into the past we find that people had not only suspicion but also contempt and hatred for other religions. Pride in one’s own religion and prejudice against others’ religions resulted in frequent occurrences of persecution, crusades, jihads and inquisitions. History has witnessed horrible bloodshed in the name of and for the sake of religion over the ages.

As the inhabitants of the world came closer due to rapid progress in science and technology, people became more appreciative and sympathetic towards others. Gradually people came to know that one has to admit and accept coexistence of religions. Existence of one’s own religion alone is not the reality in the true sense; the co-existence of multiple religions is the reality.

People are now thinking of religious freedom, they showed willingness to mix with the people from religious traditions different from their own; they made attempts to listen to others’ religions, to read about others’ religions and deepen their knowledge and to identify and strengthen the similarities, the differences being treated as specific to that religion and accepted as such.

The above interaction amongst religions paved way to adoption and assimilation of the good aspects of other faiths. Thus Vivekananda emphasized the service aspect of religion and made Hinduism more practical through his novel interpretation of Vedánta. Buddhism shifted its emphasis from the ideal of individual Nirváïa to emancipation of the whole of the mankind in its journey from Theraváda to Maháyána.

With the onset of the 3rd Millennium of the Christian Era, the world is becoming a “Global Village”. Rigid barriers of different practices are disappearing, and I do feel that the world is ready for the birth of a “UNIVERSAL RELIGION”. Indian Ùástras had proclaimed, bhavatu viùvameka nèãam/  Let the world be a single nest because all religions are meant to lead us to the Ultimate Reality. This Ultimate Reality may be pursued differently by different people. The Vedic seers said, ekam sat vipráç bahudhá vadanti / “Truth is one, the wise speak about it in different ways”. The pioneers and visionaries of different faiths  want to break out of the narrow bonds of religions or sects. Each individual should have freedom to practice his own faith as a matter of choice. Further an individual should not be compelled to be tied down to only one faith and should be free to adopt the practice of various religions of his choice depending on his temperament, attitude and perception. This would create a climate in which all of us can live in peace and harmony.

The first Christian ascetics in Syria borrowed many religious practices from Indian monasticism, especially of the wandering and mendicant monks. Their stress on personal prayer and the ‘taste of God’ experienced in the depth of heart shows Indian influence. The Second Vatican Council inspired contact, dialogue and cooperation with the followers of other religions.

It is extremely heartening to note that Vatican created a special Department “Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue”. On this occasion I pay my humble tribute to His Holiness, the Pope for having inspired the entire process. This Conference being inaugurated now is a sterling example of Interfaith Dialogue initiated by this Pontifical Council. This process has aroused an intense interest to understand each others’ view points with great reverence and has been a very satisfying and enriching experience.

My personal experience of Hindu-Christian Dialogue is encouraging. The Bharatiya Sanskriti Peetham has successfully organized five interfaith dialogues, namely, International Seminar on ‘Hindu Christian Cosmology and Anthropology’ wherein Ùáñkara Advaita was discussed in depth. This was in collaboration with the Institute for Asian Studies, University of Turin, Italy and the Inter religious Monastic Dialogue, Italy in October 1997; it was followed by International seminar on ‘Persons of Peace in a Troubled World’ in collaboration with the Institute for Asian Studies, University of Turin, and DIM, Italy, at Parma-Rome (Italy) in October 1998; International Seminar on ‘Religious and Ethical Foundations of Family and Social Life in Hinduism and Christianity’ in February-March 2000; International Seminar on ‘Mahávákyas in Hinduism and Christianity’ in February 2001; Interfaith Dialogue Symposium on ‘Bhakti in Hinduism  & Christianity’ in collaboration with Focolare Movement at Castel Gandolfo, Rocca Di Papa, Rome in June 2002. Every seminar is a step ahead in the field of Dialogue. The present seminar is on ‘Meditation’. The next Conference is proposed to be held in April 2004 in Italy.

The new climate of interfaith dialogue has opened the door for a non-confrontational discussion of practice of neighbours’ religions. Thus the clouds of suspicion and apprehension are getting dispelled and fresh breeze of open-minded reception to other faiths flow.

Meditation is a search for the Ultimate Reality. It is a “search within”. Meditation is experience  beyond everything and it transcends religious barriers. It is a pathway to God realization. There is no difference of mine or thine, of caste or creed in this divine experience. Hence it is a meeting point for all of us, and proves to be an ideal theme for dialogue.

In Hinduism meditation is an unbroken flow of thought directed to one single object. Several texts such as Pátaòjala Yogasütra, Yogavásiúûha throw light on meditation.

Concentration (Dháraïá) is defined as holding the mind on to some particular object. When the mind is able to remain in the state of concentration for some time, that state is called meditation (Dhyána). Meditation is defined as the unbroken flow of thought. It is compared to the pouring of oil from one vessel to another. The flow of oil is steady and unbroken.

The difference between concentration and meditation is that in concentration the mind is also touched by other ideas about the object of concentration while in meditation there is only one single idea.

The Yájòavalkya Smøti states that there are two types of concentration- concentration on Reality with attributes (Saguïa) and concentration on Reality without attributes (Nirguïa).

The Yoga texts describe various objects of meditation. These objects may be external objects such as a flame, an idol or Om, the sound symbol of Supreme Reality. Alternatively, the objects of meditation may be internal objects. There are seven centres of consciousness within the body and the aspirant can concentrate his mind on these centres. The aspirant is free to choose any object for concentration. He has to visualise the form either within the body in the spiritual centres or outside the body.

Om is considered as the most powerful and sacred symbol that can be chosen for concentration. The Máïãükya Upaniúad contains a detailed exposition of Om. Om has three sounds – A, U and M representing the waking, the dream and the deep sleep state respectively. The silence that follows after utterance of the word Om represents the fourth state (Turèya), the state of pure consciousness. Meditation on Om enables an aspirant to elevate himself from the mundane to the transcendental.

In Christianity meditation is not just concentrating one’s own thought on Lord, work is also a form of meditation. The Desert Fathers first took up work as an aid to prayer. During the long hours of solitary meditation work, such, as plaiting baskets or making rope was undertaken in order to avoid distraction; it was like an ‘anchor for thoughts’. In due course the Desert Fathers thought that if they divide their time between vocal prayers and work, the alternation would make the concentration on God easier. Everything in the monastery produces the ambience conducive to prayer, such as the isolation of the monastery itself, the work by which the monks support themselves, the reading and learning all have their function to make the monastery a sanctuary where God is ‘seen’ in the darkness and stillness of contemplation (Thomas Merton, The Silent Life, p. 33-34).

In ancient times the Vedic Øúis practiced meditation in the solitude of lofty mountains and deep forests. The Christian monks also practiced meditation in solitude of deserts and forests. However, it is in the midst of hustle and  bustle of daily life that the modern man has to learn to meditate. Meditation constitutes a link between man and God. Whatever place one may meditate, God only responds in the deep silence of inner-most depths of the heart.

We in Somaiya Vidyavihar are trying to provide a Value Based Education to about 25,000 students. We believe, that peace, understanding and harmony among different faiths is an important component of value system. We, therefore, consider it appropriate that we play host to the International Symposium for Hindu-Christian Interfaith Dialogue.

Before I conclude, I would like to express my gratitude to His Grace Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, President, Pontifical Council for Interfaith Dialogue, Vatican, Italy; His Eminence Ivan Cardinal Dias, Archbishop of Mumbai and H. E. Simon Cardinal Pimenta for having graced the inaugural function.
Thank you,

Young Muslims more open to interfaith dialogue says Vatican
Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Catholic Church's interfaith council says a new spirit of openness among younger Muslims is improving the "climate" of interreligious dialogueBess Twiston Davies
Younger Muslims are radically altering the "climate" of interfaith dialogue, the head of the Vatican's Council for interreligious dialogue has said.

"There is a change of climate [in interreligious dialogue] now" said Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue said on Wednesday: "It is more open minded, there is greater cordiality. Many young Muslims in Eygpt, Lebanon, Syria, or Qatar have learned in local Catholic schools, where we welcome Muslim students. They all say the same thing: “We have been in your schools for years but you have never proselytised.”’ The young generation realise we can’t be against each other. Believers of all religions have greater responsibility towards the human family."

During a brief visit to Britain this week, Cardinal Tauran met the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams and several Anglican bishops to discuss the challenge of terrorism motivated by religious fundamentalism. "Schools and universities are the answer" he said, adding that Muslim leaders had "great responsibility" to "shape" the minds of young believers.

The Cardinal's comments follow the creation by Pope Benedict XVI last March of a permanent Muslim-Catholic forum. It was set up after 138 Muslim scholars wrote an "open letter" to the Pope and other Christian leaders last year. Written in the wake of Muslim criticism of Benedict XVI for a 2006 speech during which he quoted a Byzantine Emperor who had spoken of the Prophet Muhammad's "command to spread by the sword the faith", the letter stated that the future of the world depended on peace between Muslims and Christians.

The 29 page document appealed for members of both faiths to find common ground, quoting both the Bible and the Qu’ran. Cardinal Tauran said: “What is new is that this letter is an initiative from the Muslim side, until now the initiatives have come from Christians. The Church has been in dialogue with Islam for more than 30 years, following the publication of Nostra Aetate (the Declaration on the Relation of the Church with Non-Christian Religions) the Church’s teaching document from Vatican II which states that the Catholic Church rejects “nothing of what is Holy and True” in other religions.”

Catholic-Muslim dialogue is “an exchange of spiritual gifts, " he said. “Benedict XVI has made it clear in his speeches that interreligious dialogue is not an option but a vital necessity.” Last year, Cardinal Tauran was criticised after appearing to suggest, in an interview with the French Catholic newspaper La Croix, that theological dialogue with Islam was impossible "at the moment". The Muslim-Catholic forum will hold its first meeting this November in Rome. No Saudi or Iranian Muslim scholars are thought to be attending the November conference.

Saudi king promotes interfaith tolerance to combat terrorism at U.N. forum

By Samia Nakhoul

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia told world leaders at a U.N. interfaith meeting on Wednesday that terrorism is the enemy of all religions, calling for a united front to combat it and promote tolerance.

“We state with a unified voice that religions through which Almighty God sought to bring happiness to mankind should not be turned into instruments to cause misery,” the king said, opening a U.N. General Assembly meeting initiated by Riyadh.

“Terrorism and criminality are the enemies of every religion and every civilization. They would not have emerged except for the absence of the principle of tolerance.”

The two-day forum marks a new direction for Saudi Arabia, the world’s leading oil exporter, whose austere “Wahhabi” Islam came in for criticism after the September 11 attacks in 2001 on the United States, Riyadh’s main ally and guarantor of security.

Fifteen of the 19 Arabs who killed some 3,000 people by flying planes into New York’s World Trade Center and the Pentagon near Washington were Saudis, acting in the name of Saudi-born al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Since then, the Saudi monarch has sought to improve the image of a system in which the royal family rules in alliance with a powerful conservative clerical establishment.

Throughout history, Abdullah told the forum, conflicts over religious and cultural issues had led to intolerance, “causing devastating wars and bloodshed.”

“Human beings were created as equals and partners on this planet,” he said. “Either they live together in peace and harmony or they will inevitably be consumed by the flames of misunderstanding, malice and hatred.”

U.S. President George W. Bush, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Afghan President Hamid Karzai and leaders and diplomats from some 60 other countries are taking part in the gathering.

Israeli President Shimon Peres seized the rare chance of sharing a forum with Abdullah to directly address him, praising his words and a Saudi Middle East peace initiative. Riyadh has no ties with the Jewish state and its officials shun Israelis.

“Your majesty, the king of Saudi Arabia, I was listening to your message. I wish that your voice will become the prevailing voice of the whole region, of all people. It’s right, it’s needed, it’s promising,” Peres said.

“The initiative’s portrayal of our region’s future provides hope to the people and inspires confidence in the nations.”

The 2002 initiative promotes the formula of Israel trading occupied Arab land in return for normal relations.

PROMOTING HARMONY

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon also praised Abdullah, calling the meeting “a truly inspiring initiative for global harmony.”

An international effort was needed to confront a rising tide of communal strife and religious extremism, Ban said.

“Extremist ideologies are on the rise. Societies are more polarized. Anti-Semitism remains a scourge. Islamophobia has emerged as a new term for an old and terrible form of prejudice,” the U.N. chief said.

Jordan’s King Abdullah said it was impossible to talk about interfaith harmony without resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

“I can think of no more effective way to ease East-West and interfaith tensions than to end this divisive conflict,” he said.

The forum has come under criticism from human rights groups who say it gives Saudi Arabia a platform to promote religious tolerance abroad while imposing discrimination at home.

Saudi Arabia, home to Islam’s holiest sites, forbids public non-Muslim worship and imposes gender segregation and death sentences by public beheadings. Its own minority Shi’ite Muslims face discrimination.

In Washington, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Bush believes “that the king of Saudi Arabia has recognized that they have … a long way to go and that he is trying to take some steps to get there.”

A string of Arab leaders said Islam was falsely accused of backing terrorism. They said the religion calls for moderation and tolerance and eschews extremism, violence and bigotry.

“As leaders and peoples, we must assume our historical responsibilities to examine our painful reality through a serious and sincere dialogue between people, religions and cultures,” Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah said.

Diplomats said that to avoid possible disputes, the meeting was expected to end with a non-binding oral statement by the General Assembly president rather than a written declaration.

Obama calls for Christians, Jews and Muslims to unite

“Citizen of the world” Obama waves to the gathered crowd as he arrives to make a speech in front of the Victory Column in Berlin

In the end Barack Obama had no need to break into German to leave the 200,000 crowd roaring with delight.

The man the German media has dubbed the ‘Black JFK’ stuck to English - but his welcome in Berlin last night stood comparison with the rapturous reception given to John F. Kennedy’s famous 1963 ‘Ich bin ein Berliner’ address at the height of the Cold War.

Mr Obama opened his speech at the Victory Column in the capital’s Tiergarten park with the words: ‘I come to Berlin as so many of my countrymen have come before, although tonight I speak to you not as a candidate for president of the United States, but as a proud citizen of the United States and a proud citizen of the world.’

This is London | Jul 25, 2008

He told the crowd that he knew he did not look much like the Americans who had addressed Berlin before, emphasising his Kenyan roots to the delight of the thousands cheering his every word as ‘ Obamamania’ took over.

Mr Obama, who arrives in London tomorrow at the end of a week-long overseas tour to boost his foreign policy credentials as the Democrat opponent of Republican John McCain, chose Berlin for the only formal speech of the trip.

He urged Europe to stand by the U.S. in bringing stability to Afghanistan and confronting other threats, from climate change to nuclear proliferation.

And he said America had no better partner than Europe.

Mr Obama, who is hugely popular in Germany where polls show President George Bush is loathed, spoke in front of the 230ft column built to celebrate 19th-century Prussian military victories over Denmark, France and Austria.

Addressing many world issues, Obama said: ‘a new generation, our generation, must make our mark on history’.

He spoke of tearing down walls between countries, between races and between religions - that the ‘walls’ between Christians, Muslims and Jews cannot stand.

‘Let us build on our common history, and seize our common destiny, and once again engage in that noble struggle to bring justice and peace to our world.’

He also spoke on the Iraq war, saying: ‘This is the moment when the world should support the millions of Iraqis who seek to rebuild their lives, even as we pass responsibility to the Iraqi government and finally bring this war to a close.’

He dwelt at length on the historic ties between the U.S. and Germany - touching on the Berlin Airlift 60 years ago and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

He said the fall of the Wall had brought hope but also dangers. ‘No one nation, no matter how large or powerful, can defeat such challenges alone,’ he said.

America and Europe had grown apart, he said, but it was vital they stood together on such issues, particularly Afghanistan.

‘No one welcomes war. I recognise the enormous difficulties in Afghanistan,’ Mr Obama said.

‘But my country and yours have a stake in seeing that NATO’s first mission beyond Europe’s borders is a success. For the people of Afghanistan, and for our shared security, the work must be done. America cannot do this alone.’ He acknowledged the differences between Europe and the U.S.

‘No doubt, there will be differences in the future. But the burdens of global citizenship continue to bind us together. A change of leadership in Washington will not lift this burden. In this new century, Americans and Europeans alike will be required to do more - not less.

‘Partnership and cooperation among nations is not a choice; it is the one way, the only way, to protect our common security and advance our common humanity. ‘That is why the greatest danger of all is to allow new walls to divide us from one another.’

Tony Blair to devote life to uniting the world’s religions

Former prime minister Tony Blair has promised to “spend the rest of my life” uniting the world’s religions

He said faith could be a “civilising force in globalisation”, bringing people together to solve problems such as malaria and extreme poverty.

Mr Blair, who is now a peace envoy to the Middle East, told Time magazine that religious belief had given him “strength” while in power.

He is launching a “faith foundation” in New York on Friday.
Mr Blair, who recently converted to Catholicism, said: “Faith is part of our future, and faith and the values it brings with it are an essential part of making globalisation work.”

‘Fantastic thing’

His foundation will attempt to bring religions together to tackle global issues such as the UN’s eight Millennium Development Goals, which range from eradicating extreme poverty to ensuring environmental sustainability.

One of its first priorities will be to fight the spread of malaria.
Mr Blair said: “If you got churches and mosques and those of the Jewish faith working together to provide the bed nets that are necessary to eliminate malaria, what a fantastic thing that would be.

“That would show faith in action, it would show the importance of cooperation between faiths, and it would show what faith can do for progress.”

He added that it was possible to “achieve a greater understanding between the different religious faiths, so that we make platforms for action by those faiths and deal with some of the biggest issues in the world”.

Mr Blair’s press secretary Alastair Campbell, when asked about his boss’s faith, once famously remarked that the government didn’t “do God”.

But Mr Blair, 55, has recently spoken out on the subject far more than during his 10 years in Downing Street.

Discussing decisions he made as prime minister, he told Time: “You don’t put a hotline up to God and get the answers.

“The worst thing in politics is when you’re so scared of losing support that you don’t do what you think is the right thing.

“What faith can do is not tell you what is right but give you the strength to do it.”

Mr Blair is not being paid for his work as a Middle East envoy for the “Quartet” of the United Nations, United States, European Union and Russia.

But he has lucrative consultancy posts with insurer Zurich and merchant bank JP Morgan, on top of a reported £5m deal for his Downing Street memoirs.

Israel haven for New Bahai World Order

Theirs is a vision of the world governed by a world legislature, world court and a world executive, all overseeing freedom of movement, disarmament and an international military to ensure peace.

AFP | Nov 19, 2007

HAIFA, Israel (AFP) — Dominating a holy mountain in Israel is the nerve centre of the world’s fastest growing major religion, preaching global unity and world peace from one of the most troubled countries on earth.

Founded less than 170 years ago, the Bahai faith believes that Persian-born prophet Bahuallah, who died in Israel, brought a message of unity, equality and world federation to save mankind from the plagues of the modern world.

The shrine to the Bab, a messenger whose mission prepared humanity for the coming of Bahuallah, the beautiful Bahai terraced gardens and classical-style World Centre in Israel’s port city of Haifa are lauded by some as the eighth wonder of the world.

Believers wait years to come on pilgrimage and 600 Bahais from more than 60 countries volunteer for unpaid service to administer the centre.

“My parents worried because of the news on TV about bombs, but for me I was going to the holiest spot on the planet,” said 24-year-old IT worker Bhojraj Parmar from India, a technician at the Bahai headquarters.

Not even a two-and-a-half-hour interrogation by anxious Israeli security officials upon arrival put him off.

“I don’t really mind,” he said. “I’m supposed to be cooperative with the government. It’s for security.”

Numbering five million believers in every continent reading literature translated into more than 800 languages, the Bahai faith is growing faster than any other religion but Zoroastrianism with its some 200,000 adherents.

Theirs is a vision of the world governed by a world legislature, world court and a world executive, all overseeing freedom of movement, disarmament and an international military to ensure peace.

“The central theme of Babaullah’s social teachings is that humanity is one single race and the day has come for its unification into one global society,” says a glossy English-language brochure.

Far from creating a “monstrous big brother,” Bahais believe their faith is the most suited world religion to sustain modern, progressive society.

They believe in promoting sexual equality, universal education and religious tolerance, and eliminating prejudice, extreme wealth and poverty, — teachings that they say hold the answers to global warming, erosion of family life and racism.

An army of 80 paid gardeners keeps the 21 terraces on Mount Carmel next to the Mediterranean in tip-top condition. The gardens took 10 years to create, and along with two other buildings finished in 2000, cost 250 million dollars (170 million euros).

–Bahais admit ‘irony’ of preaching global unity in Israel –

Although they receive only modest stipends to cover food and basic expenses, Bahai volunteers describe their mission as “life-changing” or “priceless.”

Kenneth Chadwick, 24, from Michigan, grew up in a Bahai household but his epiphany came as a student when he found himself briefly paralysed on the dorm-room floor after fervent prayer.

One week after graduation he came to Haifa as a volunteer.

“For the first time, I understood what faith was, what love was. I felt what it was like to have a connection with God. It was a religious experience that completely changed my life. I felt like I was born again.”

Dressed smartly in a shirt and tie for his clerical work at the Universal House of Justice — the nine-member, all-male world governing body, Chadwick is a serious young man whose hands tremble as he tries to explain his mission.

Given that Israel has among the most insecure yet heavily-armed borders in the world in a region with no imminent prospect of disarmament, he acknowledges a “certain irony” over the location of the Bahai headquarters.

Parmar even sees Israel as a model for the Bahai world commonwealth.

“I love Israeli people for the fact that they are very united. Israel wouldn’t be a possibility if the Jewish people weren’t united. We’re grateful to Israelis. We wouldn’t be here without them,” he said.

But the country, created 60 years ago as a Jewish state, is deeply opposed to any form of missionary activity. Anyone wishing to convert has to go abroad. Bahai spokesman Douglas Moore is “not aware” of any Israeli Bahais.

“It’s enough for me that I’m Jewish. It’s enough of a burden. Don’t give me another,” laughed Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav, when asked if he thought about signing up after waxing lyrical about the Bahais’ contribution to his city.

“I’m Jewish, I believe in my God. I don’t care what they do,” said Zehorit Barashar, a 22-year-old security guard who kicks out those who break the rules and wears a gun “to save these guys” because Bahais do not carry weapons.

The Bahai-Israel relationship is mutually beneficial. Bahais promise not to convert Israelis but provide a tourist magnet keeping the local economy afloat.

Unlike Christian, Muslim and Jewish organisations, Bahais keep totally aloof from politics. And none of their institutions carry out aid work in Israel or the Palestinian territories.

Israel grants them freedom to run their World Centre.

“We are very proud that the holiest place for the Bahais is situated in Haifa. The way they have done the whole area, the mountain, is outstanding. It is considered the eighth wonder of the world,” said Yahav.

The Bahai gardens are the main tourist attraction in Haifa, he said.

Dignitaries and foreign ambassadors are invited to learn about the faith and asked for help to curb persecution in Iran, where more than 200 Bahais have been executed or killed since the 1979 Islamic revolution.

Bahais believe in progressive revelation, that the world’s great religions trace one divine plan from Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed, to Bab and Babuallah in 19th-century Persia.

The year 2007 is the Bahai year 167. Years are divided into 19 months of 19 days, with extra days before new year’s day on March 21 devoted to gift-giving. There are nine holy days and a one-month sunrise to sunset fast.

Not all are smitten.

“It’s a bit too artificial,” said Swiss tourist Egiolio Spada, pointing at the grass. “For instance, if you look at the green it seems plastic.”

Modern Ecumenical Movement
There is great emphasis in the church today on uniting professing Christians of all denominations and beliefs. The message is that we're not so different after all... we can work together. Setting aside theological differences, we can help each other in the things we all agree upon. That effort is commonly referred to as "ecumenism," which is defined as "the organized attempt to bring about the cooperation and unity of all believers in Christ."

The foundation for this ecumenical trend has been laid and built upon over many years. We saw the beginning of institutional ecumenism in the 1960's, with The World Council of Churches, mostly liberal mainline Protestant denominations who denied such essential doctrines as the inerrancy of Scripture and a literal, bodily resurrection of Christ. For years, Evangelicals distanced themselves from this institutional ecumenism because of the unsound theology of the groups involved.

Today, however, that spirit of compromise has invaded Evangelicalism. The more recent Catholic-Evangelical accord is an example of such compromise. In this accord, Evangelicals compromised essential doctrines such as justification by faith alone and the sufficiency of Scripture in order to unite with Roman Catholics on issues such as abortion and school prayer.

Compromising the Truth
The undiluted preaching from God's Word and an authoritative stand on truth seem to be on the decline. What we're seeing instead is a broadening of the gospel, a redefining of what it means to be a Christian, and a growing emphasis on inclusion and tolerance. Ecumenism has come to mean "reducing all elements of faith to the lowest common denominator. God's Word is neglected, experience is valued above truth, a false and selfish "faith" is promoted, and sound doctrine and correction are despised as "divisive" and "unloving."

Ignoring the Scriptures, numerous evangelical leaders today claim that a concern for doctrine causes division and therefore should be avoided for the sake of love and unity among the brethren. The Scriptures, however, couldn't be more specific in its opposition to such a teaching.

I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. [Romans 16:17]

Divisions are created by teachings that are contrary to sound doctrine.

"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son" [2 John 1:9].

Unity in the faith is impossible without the doctrine of Christ. Without such a foundation we have no basis for the faith, for the gospel, for knowing Jesus, or for knowing anything pertinent to the Truth.

The glittering terminology of ecumenical is seen, on close examination, to be as hollow as a soap bubble and just as slippery and hard to hold onto. Where is the "common ground" between belief and unbelief? A believer cannot ignore the "major theological differences" between him and an unbeliever. Instead, he should be cutting through those differences with the Sword of the Word to win the unbeliever to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. I cannot agree to ignore an unbeliever's condition without, by that very act, compromising my beliefs. For my beliefs include the Great Commission, which requires me to tell the world of the gospel of Jesus.

Modern Christian Ecumenical Movements
Even a cursory review of what has taken place in the Church during the last 25 years will reveal a fierce underming of the faith. Precisely as the Bible warns (Mt. 7:21-23; 24:4,11,24; 2 Thes 2:3; etc.), today's most effective enemies of Christ are those who claim to be Christians and call mankind not just to any old false religion but to a counterfeit Christianity. Consider some of the following:

(ECT) Evangelicals and Catholics Together

Freemasonry

The New Age Movement

Baha'i World Faith

Pro-Life Movement

Promise Keepers

The Christian Response to Ecumenism
Nineteenth-century preacher Charles Spurgeon was known for taking unpopular positions as he ministered God's Word, and faced the same arguments confronting many Bible teachers today. His response to the seductive power of compromise for popularity's sake was especially poignant: "What have you and I to do with maintaining our influence and position at the expense of truth? It is never right to do a little wrong to obtain the greatest possible good ... Your duty is to do the right: consequences are with God."

How, you might ask, can a Bible-believing church accept many of teachings held up today? Simple. Few read the Bible any more. Far too many people simply go along with whatever they are told as biblical, with no particular interest in checking it out for themselves. For those whom the Lord equips, He sets forth an essential for discernment:

"...If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." [John 8:31-32]

For the sake of our growth in the faith and our development of discernment, we must "hold to" the teachings of God's word. "Hold to," or "continue" (KJV) means to submit to Christ's teachings, to abide in them (i.e., to let our mental, physical and spiritual life be governed by them), and to remain in them, becoming steadfast in the faith. If we do this, then we are His disciples, we will know the truth, and will be set free by the truth.

How many times have you heard that somebody was "causing division in the church?" Well, maybe they were supposed to! After all, there are two things that cause division according to the Bible: truth and error.
Haven't you heard the scripture,

"Do you suppose I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, rather division!"

That's right! Jesus said that...

"from now on five members in one household will be divided three against two, and two against three" (Luke 12:51-52).

Hard words to hear! Yet, harder to accept. But, that's what Jesus said and is preserved in the Holy Scriptures. He said that whole families would be divided over Him. And there are many occasions in the New Testament when whole assemblies of people were divided because of Jesus (John 7:43, 9:16, 10:19, Acts 23:6-7).

People who love the truth will divide from people who love lies.
Today, when there are so many who are professing religion, is it any wonder that some of the deepest truths in the Bible - repentance, faith, holiness, etc. - are also some of the greatest objects of debate in the Church. It must be said that those who truly want to know God's views on these great pillars of Christian doctrine, will appear to be divisive - and rightly so, in an age when the great gospel message of salvation can be reduced to such a sugar-coated, bakery-item as, "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life!"

Can ecumenists by uniting, set the standards for the rest of the world? "Who's kingdom is the earth anyway?" This worldly kingdom belongs to Satan until Jesus Christ returns. Jesus said in John 18:36,

"My kingdom belongs not to this world..."

He said he did not come to bring peace, but rather division.

Division that comes from the proclaiming of the truth will usually include some intense reaction and opposition, but it will also produce good fruit and the advancement of God's kingdom (not to mention the conversion of souls.)

The Scripture is unmistakably clear: the primary attribute by which God wants to be known is holiness--He is totally separate from all that is sinful or defiled. Fifty-five times God refers to Himself in Scripture as the "Holy One." Fifty-nine times He is called or described as being holy. There are only forty-three times where God is said to love or that He Himself is love. Interestingly enough, the word "holy" (or a form of it) occurs 651 times in Scripture. The word "love" (or a related form) whether human or divine is mentioned only 546 times. Although no attribute of God is mentioned more frequently in the Bible than that of holiness, there is perhaps no other characteristic so ignored and misunderstood as this one. Many seem to view holiness and love as being contradictory: holiness is too negative and divisive while love seems to be positive and accepting. But contrary to God's nature is the notion that love must tolerate or even refuse to expose error. God's love is compatible with His holiness. As believers follow the command to imitate their God (Eph. 5:1), they are not free to pick and choose which characteristics to copy. The modern day definition of love largely sets aside God's demand to His children,

"Be ye holy for I am holy" (Lev. 11:44; 1 Pet. 1:15,16).

Holiness is the hub of the wheel from which all other divine attributes radiate. Anything that is genuinely at the heart of God should primarily reflect that same characteristic of holiness. With the blatant rejection of the Bible doctrine of separation (which finds its foundation in the holiness of God), Promise Keepers cannot be legitimately considered "at the very heart of God." Whenever a movement becomes engrossed in compromise with error, it ceases to reflect that core attribute which God has chosen as His name (Isa. 57:15).

Still some would try to ignore the wrong of compromising methods and point out only the good that is seen. Some would even say that those who dare criticize a movement (as PK) which has enjoyed such phenomenal success are being nit- picky. If there can be an agreement on the "major" doctrines of Scripture, then why not get on the bandwagon of a good cause? To this Albert Dager makes the following remarks:

"The evidence of God at work is not outward results, but conformity to Scripture, which in turn results in outward change. Outward change without conformity to Scripture is merely human righteousness. Change of mind does not always equate to change of heart. A genuine change of heart results in the holding of Scripture in high esteem. Nor does it distinguish between so called `essential doctrine' and `secondary doctrine' ... (2 Tim. 3:14- 17)... When the Holy Spirit says that all Scripture is given for instruction in righteousness, He isn't speaking only of the so-called `Big Five' doctrines the ecumenists are claiming as reason for unity. He means all of Scripture itself is the essential doctrine of the Faith" (Media Spotlight Special Report, p. 14).

He then continues with these comments:

"The end does not justify the means. The proper focus must be on the means itself, as well as on the end. . . Results are not the final arbiter of truth; one's pious demeanor is not the final arbiter of truth; one's ability to call fire down from heaven is not the final arbiter of truth. God's Word is the only and final arbiter of truth" (Ibid.).

Behold the emergence of the ecumenical apostate church, the bride of Antichrist!
"Positive Christianity" is the enemy of the cross.
The truth offends those who don't want to hear it. Yet to speak anything less is to trifle with the eternal destiny of souls. Ecumenism's promise of "unity" is tempting, but it denies Christ and paves the way for the Antichrist and his new world religion. It is a unification that will ultimately lead to destruction.

True unity is not sought by pretending that there are no differences, as modern ecumenists have done, but by recognizing and respecting those differences, while focusing on the great orthodox truths all Christians share. Articulated in the classic confessions and creeds, it embraces such fundamentals as the Virgin birth, the deity of Christ, the Atonement, the Resurrection, the authority of Scripture, and the Second Coming.

Man-made unity is not what God desires. He wants a holy people. Many Christians believe that unity in itself will bring about a holy revival. But unity cannot bring holiness, only holiness can bring about true unity. For when God's people start seeking to live, worship and pray according to the Holy Word of God, then God Himself will answer Jesus' prayer and make those who seek Him, truly "one!" THEN God will unite the hearts of those who love Him, and hate sin and error, and He will truly shine forth from the midst of such a people - the true people of God!

The unification of the various national identities, races, and religions can only be achieved through the eradication of sin. That means only through the Lord Jesus Christ can we become perfectly one. The other avenue to unite people, the program of the Antichrist, will only be accomplished temporarily through deception.

Rick Warren joins Tony Blair’s interfaith movement

June 5, 2008 by John

NEW YORK - Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Friday that leaders in an interdependent world must work to end religious conflict or face “catastrophe” as he introduced a new foundation dedicated to interfaith understanding.

Religion is as important in this century as political ideology was in the last, Blair said. The Tony Blair Faith Foundation will fight extremism, organize faith groups against poverty and illness, and educate people worldwide about religions other than their own, he said.

“There is a new reality. We have to come to terms with it. And it implies, at its fundamentals, peaceful coexistence or catastrophe,” said Blair in a speech before religious and business leaders at the posh Time Warner Center. “If faith becomes a countervailing force, pulling people apart, then it becomes destructive and indeed dangerous.”

Former President Bill Clinton, who became a close friend of Blair’s when both men were in office, opened the event, putting his arm around the former prime minister and calling his faith “genuine” and “deep.”

Blair, who stepped down from office last year, recently converted to Roman Catholicism. He has faced ridicule in widely secular England for openly discussing his spirituality. His press secretary Alistair Campbell once said, “We don’t do God.” Blair’s foundation now aims to counter the idea that religion is no longer relevant.

Specifics on funding for the initiative were not released at Friday’s event.

A Blair representative said the group has received donations and pledges in the tens of millions of dollars from individuals, charitable groups, companies and governments. The foundation plans to release exact dollar figures in its annual reports.

The group’s advisory council includes evangelical megapastor Rick Warren, who with his wife, Kay, advocates for HIV/AIDS victims worldwide; Ismail Khudr Al-Shatti, an adviser to the prime minister of Kuwait; and world Baptist and Jewish leaders. Catholic Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor of Westminster, England, has pledged to join the council when the pope allows him to retire.

Yale University is a partner in the project. The former prime minister plans to teach at the school next year, leading a seminar on faith and globalization.

In a brief interview, Blair said he defined extremists as “people who want to exclude the other if someone is of a different faith.” Blair told the crowd that although Islamic extremism draws the most attention, “there are elements of extremism in every major faith.”

“It is important where people of good faith combat such extremism, that they are supported,” said Blair, who is an envoy for the Quartet of Mideast peacemakers - the U.S., European Union, Russia and United Nations.

Among the foundation’s many initiatives are promoting research on religion and globalization; developing interactive media and publications on religion geared for young people, businesses and political groups; and, working with the U.N. and groups such as the Malaria No More Campaign to fight the illness.

Blair said the foundation would not focus on “doctrinal inquiry” or “subsume different faiths in some universal faith of the lowest common denominator.”

Sayyid Syeed, a national leader of the Islamic Society of North America and a veteran of interfaith outreach, said it is possible to find common ground without watering down religious teachings if the work is based on sound scholarship about each faith.

“It has been done in the past and can be done again,” Syeed said.

Richard C. Levin, Yale’s president, who shared the stage with Blair and two young American Muslim leaders, said the community service programs that will be part of the foundation’s work will build a bond among young people, despite any theological differences.

“You cannot understand the modern world,” Blair said, “unless you understand the importance of religious faith.”

The Council Of Sages
The Council of Sages, a multi-faith, multi-national group of religious thinkers and leaders, will gather together and sort through all the world's contributions. They will then mold the final version of the Charter for Compassion from those words.

The Council continues to grow. Meet the first eight amazing members below.

http://charterforcompassion.com/about/council

The Charter for Compassion
The Charter for Compassion is a collaborative effort to build a peaceful and harmonious global community. Bringing together the voices of people from all religions, the Charter seeks to remind the world that while all faiths are not the same, they all share the core principle of compassion and the Golden Rule. The Charter will change the tenor of the conversation around religion. It will be a clarion call to the world.

Over the next months this site will be open for the world to contribute to Charter for Compassion. Using innovative group decision-making software, people of all faiths, from all across the globe, will contribute their words and stories on a website designed specifically for the Charter. A Council of Sages, made up of religious thinkers and leaders, will craft the world’s words into the final version of the Charter. The document will not only speak to the core ideas of compassion but will also address the actions all segments of society can take to bring these ideas into the world more fully. The Charter for Compassion will then be signed by religious leaders of all faiths at a large launch event, followed by a series of other events to publicize and promote the Charter around the world.

“The Charter will show that the voice of negativity and violence so often associated with religion is the minority and that the voice of compassion is the majority”

The Charter for Compassion will not be a new organization. There are hundreds of existing organizations around the world already working tirelessly in the name of compassion and interfaith dialogue. Our goal is to highlight these groups in effort to raise the profile of their work.

The Charter will show that the voice of negativity and violence so often associated with religion is the minority and that the voice of compassion is the majority. Through the participation of the grassroots, people around the world will expect more out of religious leaders and one another. In doing so, the Charter will shift conceptions of religion for all people.

Barak, one-world religion priest
| 5/30/08 |

Obama Foreshadows the Coming Spirituality

Barack Obama, the Senator who may become the next president of the United States, says (in an exclusive article in United Church News), that the teachings of the UCC (United Church of Christ), of which he is a member (Trinity United Church of Christ), are "foundation stones for his political work." Just what are those "teachings" comprised of? On Trinity's website (Obama's personal home church), on a page promoting Yoga, the following statement is highlighted:

Within each [of]us is the seed of Divinity. Each Soul is divine. I bow to the divinity in us all!

This is the spirituality of Thomas Merton, who believed that divinity was in all humans and in all creation. That is why Merton stated:

It is a glorious destiny to be a member of the human race, ... now I realize what we all are .... If only they [people] could all see themselves as they really are ...I suppose the big problem would be that we would fall down and worship each other ... At the center of our being is a point of nothingness which is untouched by sin and by illusions, a point of pure truth ... This little point ...is the pure glory of God in us. It is in everybody. (from A Time of Departing, quoting Thomas Merton, Conjectures of a Guilty Bystander -1989 edition, 157-158)

The United Church of Christ is an ultra liberal Christian denomination that has focused on social justice and making the world into a better place. But in the process of their all encompassing view that anything positive is spiritually sound, many leaders within this group have embraced or incorporated the teachings and practices of occultism and eastern religion. One such individual is Bruce Epperly, a United Church of Christ pastor, who wrote a book called Reiki Healing Touch and the Way of Jesus, in which Epperly says: We can utilize the practice of Reiki to transform families, relationships, meetings, and institutions." Reiki is drawn from Tibetan Buddhism and incorporates spirit guides and psychic powers. It is very probable that Obama has been exposed to things such as yoga or reiki.

Global Peace Rick Warren and Barack Obama share views on global peace and world-wide unification. Obama, who was a speaker at the "Pentecost 2006: Building a Covenant for a New America" conference, used "the speech as a call for continued dialogue and bridge-building between religious conservatives and progressives." This "bridge-building" is the same kind of talk Rick Warren uses when he is discussing his "new reformation" that will include all religions, in which he states that he will do "whatever it takes" and work with anyone at all to accomplish this new reformation in his lifetime.

In Obama's address at Pentecost 2006, he talked about the "connection between religion and politics." This is what Rick Warren talks about with his "three-legged stool" philosophy that government, religion and business have to work together if global peace is ever going to happen. In light of the popularity of both these men, and given the possibility that Rick Warren could potentially be "the President's pastor," their views on global peace should not be overlooked.

New Age Peace Marianne Williamson (Oprah's featured author for A Course in Miracles) shares this same vision, as do other prominent New Age leaders. One of those who has worked closely with Williamson is Barbara Marx Hubbard, who shares this interspiritual, panentheistic vision for the world. But Marx Hubbard does not conceal her belief that those who oppose this "great awakening" of mankind will be a deficit and a hindrance:

Christ-consciousness and Christ-abilities are the natural inheritance of every human being on Earth. When the word of this hope has reached the nations, the end of this phase of evolution shall come. All will know their choice. All will be required to choose..... All who choose not to evolve will die off; their souls will begin again within a different planetary system which will serve as kindergarten for the transition from self-centered to whole-centered being. The kindergarten class of Earth will be over. Humankind's collective power is too great to be inherited by self-centered, infantile people." (from The Plan, quoting Barbara Marx Hubbard Happy birthday Planet Earth p.17)

Divinity in all? Not according to the Bible. But since the Garden of Eden when the serpent (the devil) told Eve "ye shall be as gods" (Genesis 3:5), and when Lucifer (Isaiah 14) said he would be like the "Most High," there has been a New Age philosophy that declares man is equal to God and God is in him without faith. The following scriptures (among so many others) testify of the contrast between God and man.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name [Jesus Christ] under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4: 12

Right now, the majority of leading Christian organizations from Focus on the Family to Awanas to YWAM to our seminaries, colleges, publishing houses, and denominations are to one degree or another either opening up to or actually promoting contemplative spirituality. Given the fact that Thomas Merton's beliefs are the foundation of contemplative, isn't it time Christian leaders who truly love the Lord and His Word, begin to speak up and warn their people about this devastating spirituality that is quickly overtaking our world but should not be overtaking the church. The Bible says faith comes by hearing the Word of God, but asks: "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14). But if the leaders, teachers, and preachers are all preaching a different gospel (a mystical, panentheistic one), then how shall the lost hear and be saved?

New World Order or Occult Secret Destiny?
- by Terry Melanson ©, 2001 (Last update: May 2nd, 2005)
The New Age Movement and Service to The Plan
The New World Order as envisioned by the Elite is hardly a recent undertaking. Theirs is a philosophy rooted in ancient occult traditions. Success is near, and the infiltration of society by New Age occultism is the reason for this success. The New World Order has never been solely about world government, rather, from the beginning its proponents have been privy to secret doctrines and it is a spiritual plan more than anything.

If one failed to take into account the occult nature of the New World Order, they would be remiss. The UN and the New Age have been bed-fellows since the beginning. America's secret destiny is the product of Rosicrucian and Freemason forefathers. The New Atlantis as proposed in Francis Bacon's work is almost at hand. The Ancient Mysteries are being studied for illumination and enlightenment by the New World Order's elite. Not to mention the New Age gurus — dutifully recruiting on behalf of the Secret Brotherhood.

In 1980, Marylin Ferguson compiled and espoused a synthesis involving the theories of transformation and the secret plan of the Aquarian Age. In her studies of the scientific advancements of this age involving entropy and syntropy, holism, holographs, paradigm shifts, the uncertainty principle and evolution, she discovered that, "for the first time an American renaissance is taking place in all disciplines, breaking the boundaries between them, transforming them at their farthest reaches—where they all converge." (The Aquarian Conspiracy, p.12)

Speaking of the networks and web of influence, Ferguson proclaimed: "There are legions of conspirators... in corporations, universities, hospitals, on the faculties of public schools, in factories, in doctors' offices, in state and federal agencies, on city councils and the White House staff, in state organizations, in virtually all arenas of policy making in the country [U.S.]...[including] at the cabinet level of the United States Government." (ibid. p.24) However, other New Age proponents said that this is innacurate, in that she had understated the influence of the New Age worldwide, especially in the UN and the EEC.

It is no coincidence that America has become the center of New Age and New World Order conspiracies. The Theosophical and Rosicrucian traditions hold that every nation has a spiritual destiny guided by a hierarchy of beings using all ethical (or un-ethical) means of manifesting the "divine plan" through the will of the nation's leaders.

A proponent of the New Age and the Secret Brotherhood's plan for a New World Order is Robert Hieronimus. In his book America's Secret Destiny, he traced the spiritual vision of America's founding fathers and the plan's eventual fruition in what we call the New World Order and the New Age Movement (both of which are synonymous). He stresses that the founding fathers of America had the equivalent of "Masters" and were pupils in a sense, much like today's powerful Elite have Masters and Gurus, following the teachings of the Great Plan.

According to the Rosicrucians and Theosophists, supporting the divine plan are great beings refered to as masters of the physical and spiritual planes. The evolution of America owes much to the seed thoughts of four masters—Kuthumi, El Morya, Rogoczy, and Djwhal Khul. Some of the founders of America may have been consciously or unconsciously students of these teachers, just as some contemporary Americans are pupils of these masters. In fact, the motto of the heirarchy of world teachers is identical with America's destiny—the brotherhood of man and the Fatherhood of God. (p. 95)

Another writer, from the opposite camp, confirms the assertions of Hieronimus. Willy Peterson writes:

In order to reach their aims of world unity and thus engage the whole world in service to the Plan, "enlightened" Freemasons and New Agers have been pushing for collectivist motifs that promote monistic pantheism and unity. This is why the chief instigators to the globalist League of Nations and the United Nations have been Theosophists, trying to work out the plan. This is why the verbiage and aims at the U.N. is for world peace and brotherhood. It is a spiritual undertaking in a secular world. Lucis Trust has had three think-tanks located at the U.N. Plaza in New York for around fifty years. No wonder the former Assistant Secretary General to the U.N., Robert Muller, is a devoted disciple of Alice Bailey, whose book, A Treatise on White Magic, forms the basis for the Robert Muller schools. (The Leavening)

These people are called the torchbearers or lightbearers of the New World Order. A spiritual plan that has been traced to the time of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel, up through to the Illuminati and onwards. "A loosely-knit world conspiracy," David Allen Lewis writes, "a so called Network of Illuminists." "Whether the Illuminati has one special organization that is its orginal descendant... we can be very sure that its philosophical torchbearers are represented by literally hundreds of organizations and individuals in many diverse realms." (Dark Angels of Light)

A Blueprint For Destiny
Robert Heironomus says that "America's Great Seal may be seen as a blueprint for the elevation of consciousness. It says, in part, that we must transform ourselves before we can change the world, and that it is during the process of self-transformation that we can catch a glimpse of what part we are to play in national and global transformation."

The mandala of the New World Order and Illuminati control. "Annuit Coeptis—He has Blessed our Beginning", "Novus Ordo Seclorum—New Order of the Ages". The All-Seeing Eye of Horus, the resurrected Egyptian Sun God, biblically refered to as Lucifer, the angel of light.

In occult doctrine it is thought that "from the union of spirit and matter (the pyramid is made of stone, rock, and earth—and represents the unconscious. The capstone is made of an immaterial substance—light or spirit—and is conscious), a new being—a transformed being—is created. The seal's reverse depicts a separation state in the separation of the eye the triangle."

"The pyramid exemplifies the initiation stage,... it is the house of initiation, in which the candidate confronts the world of darkness and enters the world of spirit. By passing the tests of the elements, the candidate is initiated into the realm of higher consciousness." (Hieronimus ibid., p.92) After succesfully completing the initiation process, the candidate is reborn, and joins the single eye in the pyramid.

The New World Order, or rather the philosophy its deliverers hold to be true, is one and the same as the New Age ideal of man's divinity and self-transformation. In order to partake in this gnostic fufillment of "The Great Plan" one must awaken to the original sin of Lucifer, as proposed to Eve in the Garden of Eden, that "we can be as Gods." (Gen. 3:5) So it is not suprising to find that Christians, specifically, are cited as the main obstacle hindering the success of this New Age-New World Order.

The reason for this, is the New Age belief in many "saviors" and "enlightened teachers", masters and gurus—it's all good and fine when the goal is the false teaching of man's divinity. The New Agers see many ways to salvation; Christians proclaim that there is only one Way - Jesus Christ. "For the gate is small, and narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it." (Matt. 7:14) The Bible states that this is in reality the "broad way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter it." (Matt. 7:13) Therefore, the only religion not compatible with The New Age, and hence the coming New World Order, is the belief and strict adherence in the Word God – with traditional Christianity being looked upon as particularly pernicious.

In Dark Secrets of the New Age, Texe Marrs wrote:

The New Age is a universal open-arms religion that excludes from its ranks only those who believe in Jesus Christ and a Personal God. Buddhists, Shintoist, Satanists, Secular Humanists, witches, witch doctors and shamans — All who reject Christianity are invited to become trusted members of the New Age family. Worshippers of separate faiths and denominations are to be unified in a common purpose: THE GLORIFICATION OF MAN.

The Guardians of the Mysteries
Freemasonry, by its own accord, practices the ancient mysteries of Egypt, and has as a primary goal, the re-instatement of this mystery religion for the coming World Order.

“The magical mystery religion of Ancient Egypt exercised a great fascination over Renaissance man, which was incorporated into—the newly formed—Lodges at that time. The mysterious heiroglyphs were considered to be symbols of hidden knowledge. Symbols and gestures became a means of conveying secrets and "truths". The cosmos was seen as an organic unity. It was peopled by a hierarchy of spirits which exercised all kinds of influences and sympathies. The practice of magic became a holy quest.”

- Michael Rogge, New Age Spirituality: The roots of the New Age Movement Part I
Back in 1927, Freemason W.L. Wilmhurst saw the dawning of the Aquarian Age as the fufillment of the "Plan". In The Meaning of Masonry, p.4, he writes:

In this new Aquarian age, when many individuals and groups are working in various ways for the eventual restoration of the mysteries, an increasing number of aspirants are beginning to recognize that Freemasonry may well be the vehicle for this achievement

He would be well proud, I'm sure, of today's mainstream acceptance of those very same occult mysteries. Another passage on page 46-47, proves the teaching of Freemasonry is the same as New Age beliefs:

He begins his Masonic career as the natural man; he ends it by becoming through its discipline, a regenerated man... This the evolution of man into superman—was always the purpose of the ancient Mysteries, and the real purpose of modern Masonry is, not the social and charitable purposes to which so much attention is paid, but the expediting of the spiritual evolution of those who aspire to perfect their own nature and transform it into a more god-like quality.

Freemasonry, through its mysteries, will soon usher in a New World Religion for the New World Order. A modern day Tower of Babel and the ultimate unification of the world's religions. The New Age welcomes these goals and looks to the "light" of Masonry as its esoteric basis for occult initiation into the New World Order. Benjamin Creme writes:

“The New Religion will manifest, for instance, through organizations like Masonry. In Freemasonry is embedded the core or the secret heart of the occult mysteries, wrapped up on number, metaphor and symbol ...”

- The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of Wisdom, p.87
Freemason and co-founder of Lucifer Publishing Company (now called Lucis Trust), Foster Bailey, concurs, "Is it not possible from a contemplation of this side of Masonic teaching that it may provide all that is necessary for the formulation of a universal religion?"(The Spirit of Masonry, p.113) Foster Bailey states that Masonry "is the descendant of, or is founded upon, a divinely imparted religion..." This religion he explains, "...was the first United World Religion. Then came the era of separation of many religions and sectarianism. Today we are working again towards a World Universal Religion." (ibid p.31)

To biblical students these are shocking admissions and it adds fuel to the charge of a Masonic Antichrist in our midst. "It is these Mysteries which Christ will restore upon His reapearance," Alice Bailey reveals, "thus reviving the churches in a new form, and restoring the hidden Mystery." (The Reappearance of the Christ, p. 122) Bailey is giving these "revelations" by her channeled Master Djwhal Khul — a disembodied "Ascended Master". Her "Christ" is indeed the Antichrist in the strictest sense of the word. Antichrist means substitute for or in place of Christ. She goes on to say that "These ancient Mysteries were originally given to humanity by the Hierarchy [of which Djwhal Khul is a part of] and contain the entire clue to the evolutionary process, hidden in numbers, in ritual, in words and in symbology; these veil the secret of man's origin and destiny, picturing to him in rite and ritual, the long, long path which he must tread, back into the light." (ibid, p.121-22)

So what do we have here?

The New Age tells its disciples that they are working for the Hierarchy.
The teachings of the New Age are giving by the Hierarchy.
The movement for the installement of the Antichrist is giving the go-ahead by the Hierarchy — Djwhal Khul's number one message for New Age disciples is "prepare men for the reappearance of the Christ. This is your first duty." (The Externalization of the Hierarchy, p.614)
The Ancient Mysteries, being practiced by both Freemasonry and the New Age, were giving to humanity by the Hierarchy.
The real purpose of Masonry — taught to man, from the Hierarchy — is the expediting of the spiritual evolution, to transform their nature into a god-like superman.
The Serpent caused the Fall in the Garden of Eden by giving Eve this very same message.
“Man is a god in the making. And as the mystic myths of Egypt, on the potter's wheel, he is being molded. When his light shines out to lift and preserve all things, he receives the triple crown of godhood.”

- Manly P. Hall, The Lost Keys of Freemasonry, p. 92
“European mysticism was not dead at the time the United States of America was founded. The hand of the mysteries controlled in the establishment of the new government for the signature of the mysteries may still be seen on the Great Seal of the United states of America. Careful analysis of the seal discloses a mass of occult and masonic symbols chief among them, the so-called American Eagle. ... the American eagle upon the Great Seal is but a conventionalised phoenix ...”

“Not only were many of the founders of the United States government Masons, but they received aid from a secret and august body existing in Europe which helped them to establish this country for A PECULIAR AND PARTICULAR PURPOSE known only to the intiated few.”

- Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages, pp. XC and XCI

The Lucis Trust is the Publishing House which prints and disseminates United Nations material. It is a devastating indictment of the New Age and Pagan nature of the UN.

Lucis Trust was established in 1922 as Lucifer Trust by Alice Bailey as the publishing company to disseminate the books of Bailey and Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society.

The title page of Alice Bailey's book, 'Initiation, Human and Solar' was originally printed in 1922, and clearly shows the publishing house as,

'Lucifer Publishing CoIn 1923. Bailey changed the name to Lucis Trust, because Lucifer Trust revealed the true nature of the New Age Movement too clearly."

(Constance Cumbey, The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow, p. 49).

A quick trip to any New Age bookstore will reveal that many of the hard-core New Age books are published by Lucis Trust. At one time, the Lucis Trust office in New York was located at 866 United Nations Plaza and is a member of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations under a slick program called "World Goodwill".

In an Alice Bailey book called "Education for a New Age"; she suggests that in the new age,

"World Citizenship should be the goal of the enlightened, with a world federation and a world brain."

In other words - a One World Government New World Order.

Luci's Trust is sponsored by among others Robert McNamara, former minister of Defense in the USA, president of the World Bank, member of the Rockefeller Foundation, and Thomas Watson (IBM, former ambassador in Moscow).

Luci's Trust sponsors among others the following organizations:

UN

Greenpeace Int.

Greenpeace USA

Amnesty Int.

UNICEF

The United Nations has long been one of the foremost world harbingers for the "New Spirituality" and the gathering "New World Order" based on ancient occult and freemasonic principles.

Seven years after the birth of the UN, a book was published by the theosophist and founder of the Lucis Trust, Alice Bailey, claiming that:

"Evidence of the growth of the human intellect along the needed receptive lines [for the preparation of the New Age] can be seen in the "planning" of various nations and in the efforts of the United Nations to formulate a world plan... From the very start of this unfoldment, three occult factors have governed the development of all these plans".

[Alice B. Bailey, Discipleship in the New Age (Lucis Press, 1955), Vol. II, p.35.]

Although she did not spell out clearly the identity of these 'three occult factors', she did reveal to her students that:

"Within the United Nations is the germ and seed of a great international and meditating, reflective group - a group of thinking and informed men and women in whose hands lies the destiny of humanity. This is largely under the control of many fourth ray disciples, if you could but realize it, and their point of meditative focus is the intuitional or Buddhic plane - the plane upon which all hierarchical activity is today to be found'.

[Ibid. p.220.]

To this end, the Lucis Trust, under the leadership of Foster and Alice Bailey, started a group called 'World Goodwill' - an official non-governmental organization within the United Nations.

The stated aim of this group is,

"to cooperate in the world of preparation for the reappearance of the Christ"

[One Earth, the magazine of the Findhorn Foundation, October/November 1986, Vol. 6, Issue 6, p.24.]

But the esoteric work inside the UN does not stop with such recognized occult groupings. Much of the impetus for this process was initiated through the officership of two Secretary-Generals of the UN, Dag Hammarskjöld (held office: 1953-1961) and U Thant (held office: 1961-1971) who succeeded him, and one Assistant Secretary-general, Dr. Robert Muller.

In a book written to celebrate the philosophy of Teilhard de Chardin (and edited by Robert Muller), it is revealed:

"Dag Hammarskjöld, the rational Nordic economist, had ended up as a mystic. He too held at the end of his life that spirituality was the ultimate key to our earthly fate in time and space".

[Robert Muller (ed.), The Desire to be Human: A Global Reconnaissance of Human Perspectives in an Age of Transformation (Miranana, 1983), p.304.]

Sri Chinmoy, the New Age guru, meditation leader at the UN, wrote:

"the United Nations is the chosen instrument of God; to be a chosen instrument means to be a divine messenger carrying the banner of God's inner vision and outer manifestation."

William Jasper, author of "A New World Religion" describes the religion of the UN:

"...a weird and diabolical convergence of New Age mysticism, pantheism, aboriginal animism atheism, communism, socialism, Luciferian occultism, apostate Christianity, Islam, Taoism, Buddhism, and Hinduism".

Lucis Trust, Alice Bailey, World Goodwill and the False Light of the World
- by Terry Melanson ©, 2001 (Last Update: May 8th, 2005)

Alice Ann Bailey, a leading disciple of the Russian theosophist Madame Helena Blavatsky, formed the Lucifer Publising Company in 1920. 1922 saw the organization's name changed to Lucis Trust though the advancement of the Luciferian beliefs remained true. Beliefs that in Blavatsky's words: “oppose the materialism of science and every dogmatic theology, especially the Christian, which the Chiefs of the Society regard as particularly pernicious.”

Lucis Trust promulgates the work of an "Ascended Master" who was working 'through' Alice Bailey for some 30 years. The Lucis Trust Publishing Company and their many fronts and organizations worship an "Externalized Hierarchy" of "Ascended Masters," who carry out the work of a Luciferian "master plan" for the establishment of a permanent "Age of Aquarius" ruled by one "Sanat Kumara", the "Lord of the World."

Lucis Trust is a powerful institution that enjoys "Consultative Status" with the United Nations, which permits it to have a close working relationship with the U.N., including a seat on the weekly sessions, but most importantly, influence with powerful business and national leaders throughout the world.

Through its founding of World Goodwill, Lucis Trust is "aggressively involved in promoting a globalist ideology":

Authors and participants in its various conferences read like a Who's Who of globalist insiders. Featured on its website, for example, is the Universal Declaration of Human Responsibilities, put forth in April 1998 as a companion document to the notorious UN Universal Declaration on Human Rights. Signatories to the World Goodwill document include: Helmut Schmidt, former chancellor of West Germany; Malcolm Fraser, former Australian prime minister; Oscar Arias Sanchez, former prime minister of Costa Rica; Shimon Peres; Robert McNamara; Paul Volcker; and Jimmy Carter.

... it is as much a political organization as an occult religious one.

- New Age Roots, by Steve Bonta
Lucis Trust is run through an international board of trustees whose membership is said to have included: John D. Rockefeller; Norman Cousins; Robert S. McNamara; Thomas Watson, Jr. (IBM, former U.S. Ambassador to Moscow); Henry Clausen, Grand Commander of the Supreme Council, 33rd Degree, Southern District Scottish Rite and Henry Kissinger. This would then tie Bailey's influential occult organization into the international conspiracy of elitists, including the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Bilderbergs, and the Trilateral Commission.

I've been able to confirm some of these connections through Lucis Trust's involvement in the Windsor International Bank and Trust Company, where on its site, the Windsor Bank plainly states that its “a Member of, Advisor to, Affiliate of, Friend of, Benefactor of, or Contributor to, the following Organizations, to name several:”

IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT: After I posted this discovery, the Windsor Bank promptly changed their page and deleted all traces of the connections which I exposed above. As of this writing they no longer have a web presence. I've been able to salvage a copy – thanks to Google's Cache — of the page as it appeared when I wrote this Lucis Trust expose: Here is the original.

One disturbing aspect is the blatant targeting of children. Lucis Trust directs an activity called Triangles in Education, which is partnered with groups that "make some contribution to the task of laying the foundations for the new education." This, according to Bailey, is part of the overall work of the New Group of World Servers, "a band of obedient workers and servers of the WORD." The word being the teachings of her channeled Master Djwhal Khul, through her voluminous occult works. The word, has also been heeded by the likes of Robert Muller — former assistant Secretary General of the United Nations and winner of the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education in 1989 for his World Core Curriculum. He said, "The underlying philosophy upon which The Robert Muller School is based will be found in the teaching set forth in the books of Alice A. Bailey by the Tibetan teacher, Djwhal Khul."

The Overshadowing
Alice Bailey was born on June 16th, 1880 in the city of Manchester, England. She was raised in an orthodox christian family which she would say later, made her very unhappy and a bad tempered little girl. "Life was not worth living," she said, and the feeling of worthlessness, and a certain amount of curiosity about life and death led her to attempt suicide three times before she was even fifteen.

At the age of fifteen her first mystical encounter occurred while her family had gone to church. While she was in a room reading, a man wearing a turban on his head suddenly entered her room. Startled, and not being able to say a word —an obvious out of place character in 19th century Manchester — this stranger spoke to her:

“He told me there was some work that it was planned that I could do in the world but that it would entail changing my disposition considerably; I would have to give up being such an unpleasant little girl and must try to get some measure of self-control. My future usefulness to Him and to the world was dependant on how I handled myself and the changes I could manage to make. He said that if I could achieve real self-control I could then be trusted and that I would travel all over the world and visit many countries, "doing your Master's work all the time" ... He added that He would be in touch with me at intervals of seven years apart.”

- Unfinished Autobiography, by Alice Bailey, 1951, Lucis Trust, pp. 35-36
This was to be Alice Bailey's first contact with her Master Koot Humi. These contacts with "Secret Chiefs"; "Familiar Spirits"; "Angels"; and "Ascended Masters" is a common theme in the annals of history and has been the origin of many religious, prophetic and occult movements throughout the centuries. Zoroaster, Mohammed, John Dee, Francis Bacon, Aleister Crowley, Helena Blavatsky, Joseph Smith, Edgar Cayce and Benjamin Creme immediately come to mind.

In 1917, after the breakup of her first marriage she moved to the United States, where she was introduced to the teachings of Theosophy. It was during this period that she had met, and married, her husband Foster Bailey (33rd degree Scottish Rite Freemason). She turned out to be a good pupil, Bailey soon rose through the ranks and became the editor of the American Theosophists' newspaper.

“For the last 125 years, New Age leaders worldwide have followed the false light of Theosophy; they now whisper sweet lies into the itching ears of the powerful — politicians, media moguls, UN officials, foundation grant makers, and Anglican bishops. As the West moves into a post-Christian era, the influence of the New Age movement grows.”

- A Comprehensive Expose of The New Age Movement, by Penn Lee
The encounter with her fated second "Master" — and soon to be writing partner for an international esoteric movement — occurred in 1919, while having a quiet time on a hill close to her house. She heard a note of music sounding everywhere which was followed by a voice (Djwhal Khul) that asked her if she was willing to write some books. Having refused, saying that she wouldn't engage in any psychic practices, the voice gave her three weeks to reconsider. Alice completely forgot about the subject when the voice made its appearance as scheduled. Agreeing to give it a try for a few weeks the first chapters of Initiation, Human and Solar were written. After about a month, Alice got scared; refusing to do anymore work the Master Djwhal Khul told her to discuss it with her Master Koot Humi. Koot Humi confessed that it was, in fact, him that told DK to contact her and he gave Alice permission to proceed — after giving Mrs. Bailey the proper technique for enhanced telepathic communication.

Between 1919 and 1949 (her death), she produced twenty-four books, including an autobiography, nineteen of these books were supposedly written by her Tibetan Master DK (Djwhal Khul). During the intervening years, Alice Bailey spent most of it working out what she referred to as "The Plan." The results of which, influenced the birth of many New Age groups: The Church Universal and Triumphant, Benjamin Creme's The Tara Center, the Robert Muller Schools and The Temple of Understanding, to name a few.

The Networks of 'Light'
Lucis Trust
Fifty years at the United Nations plaza. Currently located on Wall Street in New York. Lucis Trust provides worldwide financial support for the Arcane School, World Goodwill, Triangles, Lucis Publishing, Lucis Productions, Lucis Trust Libraries, and the New Group of World Servers. Maintains the UN meditation room.

The Arcane School
Founded in 1923, the school gives correspondence courses in meditation and the occult from its branches in New York, Geneva, London and Buenos Aires.

World Goodwill
Founded in 1932, the organization is recognized by the United Nations today as an NGO. World Goodwill works directly with the "world federalists," and is part of the work to "Externalize the Hierarchy" of "Illumined Minds," which will usher in an "Age of Maitreya."

Triangles
Founded in 1937, Triangles is the name of a global network of cells, whose members pray a "Great Invocation," especially on the full moon, when members of Triangle can be influenced by the astrological signs of the Zodiac.

We haven't even scratched the surface yet on the influence of Bailey and her Master's teachings. Let's look at a comparison by two writers who talk about Lucis Trust's World Goodwill, which when compared, illustrate both sides of Lucis' agenda; the manipulation of politics towards a New World Order, and the manipulation through occult means to manifest the "Plan" of the "Hierarchy".

From Dark Majesty, by Texe Marrs, pp. 139-40
The Secret Brotherhood has developed the social and political art of networking to a fine science. World Goodwill, in its newsletter of 1986, No. 2, listed a number of groups that have participated in its World Service Forum. Such groups include those that are connected with World Goodwill's centers in London, New York, and Geneva. The list is absolutely mind-boggling in its scope. In London, groups that have actively participated include the United Nations Association, the Teilhardt Center, the International Broadcasting Trust, the Buddhist Society, the Scientific and Medical Network, St. James' Church (Piccadilly), Emerson College , International Health Research Network, Habitat International Council, the Schumacher Society, the New Economics Foundation, World Health Organization, Peace Through Unity, the British Holistic Medical Association, the World Wildlife Fund, and World College.

In New York, World Goodwill gives credit to the following organizations for their involvement in its work: the Earth Society Foundation, Clergy and Laity Concerned, Waldorf Education, UNICEF, Emmaus, Hale House, the United Nations Association, the Peace Corps, the US Mission of the United Nations, the Better World Society (CNN founder Ted Turner's group), the Foundation for Global Broadcasting, Fellowship and Prayer, the Institute for Cultural Affairs, Physicians for Social Responsibility, the Bank for Social Responsibility, Habitat for Humanity, The Christophers, the Institute for Community Economics, Women's World Banking, Tibetan Buddhist Learning Center, Environmental Action Coalition, the Catholic Worker, the Nicholas Roerich Museum, the International Center for Integrated Studies, the Sri Aurobindo Society, and the Mead Institute for Human Development.

In Geneva, Switzerland, we find the following groups to be participants in the programs of World Goodwill: The International Commission of Jurists, Pax Christi International, Transnational Prospectives, Amnesty International, the United Nations University for Peace, and the Bureau for Affairs of Non-Governmental Organizations of the United Nations Organization.

From Target: Faith and Freedom
World Goodwill is a non-governmental organization (NGO) accredited with the United Nations while its parent, Lucis Trust, enjoys the prestigious "consultative status" afforded those non-governmental organizations on the roster of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Increasingly, powerful deep pocket NGO's, which are neither elected nor accountable, are received as the voice of "civil society." Those NGO's, which the United Nations selectively elevates to "consultative status," are called upon by ECOSOC as advisors representative of civil society. Both World Goodwill and Lucis Trust are engaged in Earth Charter advocacy. World Goodwill's spirituality is patently pagan. The following declaration is taken from their promotional material.

"During both the full moon and new moon periods there is there is a similar emphasis on the work of energy distribution in meditation .... we consciously align with the rhythmic pattern of energy flow each month, we become a part of a planetary meditative process carried forward at all levels of consciousness and with great creative potential for anchoring the seeds of the coming the coming civilization and the germ of the new culture."

If World Goodwill so unblushingly advocates neo-pagan meditative practices, its overt promotion of an occult "plan" for the governing of the universe is nothing short of chilling:

"There is an inner government of the planet known under such different names as the spiritual Hierarchy, the society of Illumined Minds, or Christ and his Church, according to various religious traditions. Humanity is never left without spiritual guidance or direction under the Plan... The widespread expectation that we approach the "age of Maitreya," as it is known in the East, when the World Teacher and present head of the spiritual Hierarchy, the Christ, will reappear among humanity to sound the keynote of the new age.... There are millions of mentally alert men and women in all parts of the world who are on rapport with the Plan and work to give it expression. They are people in whom the consciousness of humanity as one interdependent unit is alive and active... These beliefs give a new dimension to spiritual reality .... They provide opportunity for cooperation with the spiritual evolution of humanity... there is no group so likely to ensure that humanity achieves this most difficult goal as the men and women of goodwill .... requiring only courage... to initiate action to prepare for the New World Order."

In considering the above information one can't help but wonder whether these organizations, which are aligned with Lucis Trust, believe in the "Plan", as World Goodwill put it, "to initiate action to prepare for the new world order." I believe that they do, and it is my intention to prove that conviction throughout this site. And specifically, that it is a spiritual plan — a plan that, if giving a thorough evaluation from their own writings, can be seen as nothing less than satan's attempt to implement a totalitarian demonic throne upon the earth, and humanity's forced worship through Luciferic Rites. For "when the Great One appears," Master Djwhal Khul said 'through' Alice Bailey, "he will take the Mysteries Religion preserved by Freemasonry and make them public."

Lucis Trust has truly become a powerhouse for the New Age ideal; the transformation of society by, and through, occult initiatory means. The respect that Bailey's teachings receive, and the reverence for her Master, is without equal. She has successfully pulled the wool over the eyes of many concerning the true meaning and source of her teachings. What exactly is the teaching and message delivered by her Master? This will be the subject examined in part two.

The Secret Doctrine
In the occult Satan (or Lucifer) has traditionally been associated with the sun, the harbinger of spiritual light. Esoteric philosophy teaches that it is this "great being", not the God of the Old Testament, that was the true redeemer and benefactor of mankind in the Garden of Eden.

There's a few works in the occult that have stood the test of time, and have become "bibles" in their own right. These are revered and studied by all seekers on "the Path". The works of Aleister Crowley, Alice Bailey, Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Albert Pike, Manly P. Hall, Benjamin Creme, Castaneda, Kenneth Grant, Eliphas Levi and many others laying a foundation of pre-packaged self-enlightenment.

Some claim to be revealing great esoteric knowledge past down through sects, and orders long forgotten. Other works claim to be channeled from "Secret Chiefs" or "Ascended Masters." I offer these quotes from Blavatsky's The Secret Doctrine in order to show the, typical, reversal philosophy espoused. Blavatsky's philosophy also serve to illustrate where Bailey first encountered her heretical views in the first place. As we will see in part two, Mme. Blavatsky taught her pupil well - their spiritual philosophies are virtually identical.

Once the key to Genesis is in our hands it is the scientific and symbolic Kabbala which unveils the secret. The Great Serpent of the Garden of Eden and the "Lord God" are identical ...

Stand in awe of him, and sin not, speak his name with trembling ... It is Satan who is the god of our planet and the only god ...

When the Church, therefore, curses Satan, it curses the cosmic reflection of God ...

In this case it is but natural ... to view Satan, the Serpent of Genesis as the real creator and benefactor, the Father of Spiritual mankind.

For it is he who was the "Harbinger of Light," bright radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of automaton (Adam) created by Jehovah, as alleged; and he who was first to whisper, "In the day yea eat there of, ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil" -- can only be regarded in the light of a Saviour. An "adversary" to Jehovah ... he still remains in esoteric truth the ever loving "Messenger"... who conferred on us spiritual instead of physical immortality ...

Satan, or Lucifer, represents the active ... "Centrifugal Energy of the Universe" in a cosmic sense ... Fitly is he ... and his adherents ... consigned to the "sea of fire," because it is the Sun ... the fount of life in our system, where they are petrified ... and churned up to re-arrange them for another life; that Sun which, as the origin of the active principle of our Earth, is at once the Home and the Source of the Mundane Satan ...

- The Secret Doctrine, Volume I, page 414, Vol II, pgs. 234, 235, 243, 245
One has to keep in mind, where this heresy originated. Blavatsky claimed to have 'received' it from disembodied spirits called "Secret Chiefs." These "Inter dimensional", or demonic, beings seem to be appealing directly to the intellect. Our intelligence, after all, is a thing of great pride, isn't it? And where would we be, had it not been for the "benefactor," the Serpent of Old. Then the obvious conclusion would have Jehovah being the "Adversary." This twisted sensibility is very appealing to those who practice the occult. It also shows that in the end, when all the cards are laid on the table, its ALWAYS about that one selfish being, already condemned, and hell bent on bringing mankind with him.

Alice Bailey & Master Djwhal Khul: A Satanic Communion
- by Terry Melanson ©, 2001 (Last Update: May 7th, 2005)
“Preparation too must be given to the developing of higher psychic powers...Hospitals and schools will appear under the direct guidance of the Masters; Teachers... will train the minds of the pupils to be responsive to direct inspiration from above. ”

- The Externalization of the Hierarchy, pp. 516-517
As we have seen in part one, Lucis Trust is, today, intimately connected with Elite Politics through its World Goodwill. We haven't yet, however, examined the occult teachings of Bailey as they were related by her Master Djwhal Khul. Her 24 books, combined with the Beacon magazine, Triangles, and the Arcane School indoctrinate students into what Bailey describes as the "Ageless Wisdom" teachings. The Arcane School, founded in 1922, boasted 20,000 graduates by 1954. This occult university is more active than ever and continues to be the main training ground for New Age disciples.

The bulk of these occult teachings, in Bailey's books, are from her channeled Tibetan master Djwhal Khul (DK); the "Plan" according to the Hierarchy of Ascended Masters. Through a series of group-initiations and group-meditative techniques the Hierarchy directs the "New Group of World Servers" to implement a "New World Religion" of which humanity as a whole can aid the "will of the planetary logos". "Emphasis should be laid on the evolution of humanity," so says Master DK through Bailey, "with particular attention to its goal, perfection. (The Externalization of the Hierarchy, p. 588)" The objective is "the helping of the Great Ones and the rendering to Them of that intelligent assistance which will make Their plans for humanity materialize." (Ibid., p. 516)

One way to "materialize" the Hierarchy's plan for humanity is through Lucis Trust's Triangle networks. Their goal is the practice of occult meditation "the science of energy flow and energy relationships." Lucis Trust states that "occult meditation is a means of consciously and purposefully directing energy from a recognized source to the creation of some specific effect." (Source) International participants "sit quietly for a few minutes and link mentally with other members of their triangle, or triangles. They invoke the energies of light and goodwill, visualizing theses energies as circulating through the three focal points of each triangle and pouring through the networks of triangles surrounding the planet. At the same time they repeat the Great Invocation." (Source)

Her 30 year telepathic connection to Master DK was what some would un-hesitantly call demonic possession. Her husband Foster Bailey said, "During the long course of the work the minds of the Tibetan and A.A.B [Alice Ann Bailey] became so closely attuned that they were in effect — so far as much of the production of the teaching was concerned — a joint single projecting mechanism." (The introduction to Cosmic Fire) The technique is called in the occult the "overshadowing" — a euphemism for demonic possession, or as Bailey liked to call it "the science of impression". Moreover, the Hierarchy has "overshadowed" many in the intervening years up to the close of the century — the growing modern practice of channeling and psychic astral projection bears out this prediction of a half century ago:

“These methods of overshadowing will largely be the ones used by the Great Lord and his Masters at the end of the century, and for this reason They are sending into incarnation, in every country, disciples who have the opportunity offered them to respond to the need of training men and woman to recognize the higher psych ism, and the true inspiration and mediumship, and to do this scientifically. In fifty years time, the need for true psychics and conscious mediums (such as H.P.B., for instance [Helena Petrova Blavatsky]) will be very great if the Masters' plans are to be carried through to fruition, and the movement must be set on foot in preparation for the coming of Him for Whom all nations wait.”

- A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, pp. 757-758
Ten Seed Groups
Early on, Master DK informed Bailey of the Hierarchy's plan for "The Ten Seed-Groups". These seed-groups were to infiltrate all sectors of society, and be "esoterically anchored" with "new approaches to divinity." I have no doubt that today's New Age Movement is the result of the Hierarchy's "scattering of the seed", as Bailey put it, and that today's, arguably, open pagan society can largely be traced to this occult "plan". The Ten Seed Groups were "embryonic, like germinating seed". Through their occult practices these ten groups would work directly "under inspiration from the Hierarchy via the focused minds of the group." From Alice Bailey's Discipleship in the New Age - Volume I, p. 35-40, The Ten Seed-Groups consist of, and carry out their mission in following ways (excerpts from THE NEW GROUP OF WORLD SERVERS, emphasis mine):

1) Telepathic Communicators
Summary of Work Telepathic communication from soul to soul through: from mind to mind through integration; between humanity and Hierarchy (inner government of the planet) through Science of impression.

2) Trained Observers
Summary of Work Dissipation of world glamour, illusion and maya through illumination.

3) Magnetic Healers
Summary of Work Through "magnetic living". Through laws of life — laws of health and right human relationships. Through continuity of consciousness.

4) Educators in the New Age
Summary of Work Education through inflow of the light of knowledge into "instinctual man". — Through inflow of the light of the wisdom into "intelligent man". Through applied knowledge, expressed wisdom and occult understanding in "spiritual man".

5) Political Organizers
Summary of Work International understanding through communication of the divine (political) Will into races and nations, **linking the department of the Manu (the Ruler of the human race) with men.**

6) Workers in the Field of Religion
Summary of Work Through transcendental mysticism. Through transcendental occultism. Through transcendental religion.

7) Scientific Servers
Summary of Work Through development of new hypotheses to substantiate the next step forward. Through sensitive reaction to spiritual energies and forces. Through release of energy to relate spirit and matter and precipitate the divine Plan.

8) Psychologists
Summary of Work Through relationship of the human kingdom to the sub-human and the super-human kingdom. Through a study of the divine Plan for the five kingdoms of nature.

9) Financiers and Economists
Summary of Work Through a study of the nature of prana or etheric energy. — Through study of deflection of this form of concretized energy into constructive channels and "ways of light". — Through study of the law of supply and demand.

10) Creative Workers
Summary of Work Through linking life and form. Through philosophical relationship of synthesis and the Plan.

Truly an occult conspiracy of the highest kind, and worrisome at the very least for anyone — both Christian and non-believers alike. When you factor in what I've shown in part one — Lucis Trust's influence over international elite politics — it's downright chilling! The most revealing part of the seed-groups is the fact that the political organizers link "the department of the Manu (the Ruler of the human race) with men". The Bible already tells us that "the ruler of the human race" is Satan (John 12:31 & 14:30; Ephesians 6:12; Luke 4:6-7; 2 Cor. 4), then it follows that "the department of Manu" must be but another name for the deceiver. This is indeed the case. In Frontier Science/Social Change, Paul Von Ward relates, "Hermetic Principles...comprise part of a body of knowledge allegedly given to humans by an advanced being more than 5,000 years ago. He has been known by various names, including Thoth or Seth in Egypt, Manu in India, Hermes in Greece, and Lucifer or Satan in the Judeo-Christian tradition."

Oct. 1982. Full page advertisement in Reader's Digest
As mentioned before, the Great Invocation is sounded while the Triangle networks of "light workers" meditate to cause the "energy flow" of the Hierarchy to enter and influence humanity. The present version, giving in 1945 and shown above, was the third installment of a series of Invocations giving to Bailey by Djwhal Khul.

According to Lucis Trust, "The Great Invocation if given widespread distribution, can be to THE NEW WORLD RELIGION what the Lord's prayer has been to Christianity." The wording was intentional, so that Christians would not become suspicious. In Discipleship in the New Age II, p.165 we find, "I [Djwhal Khul] have so worded and rendered the Invocation [so] that the Christian world, through its churches, may not find it impossible to use." This represents a calculated deception on DK's part. On pp. 150 and 156, we learn: "It can be so presented to the masses everywhere, the general public, will be prompted to take it up and will use it widely... The meaning of this Invocation has been expressed in terms which are understandable, in a measure, to the average person because of its familiar wording, based on many Scriptural terms. But the true inner implications and significances are... not superficially apparent... They mean one thing to the ordinary man...; they mean another thing to the man upon the Probationary Path...; these words mean still another thing to the disciple...; to initiates and to the senior Members of the Hierarchy, they convey a still higher and more inclusive significance."

That is indeed the case, and the actual words used are giving a totally opposite meaning when examined under the light of Biblical Scripture, and compared point for point with Bailey's writings (she often quotes scripture — the interpretations of which are giving by her channeled Master). See Ph.D Robert A Herrmann's web page A Modern Manifestation of Absolute Evil for his paper called A Scientific Analysis of the Writings of Alice A. Bailey and their Applications for a treatment in DK's (Bailey's) deception. For instance:

Light = Luciferian Enlightenment
God = Satan
stream forth = overshadow
love = various forms of Scripturally defined evil or, generally hatred.
Christ = Antichrist
little wills of men = the claimed unintelligent, weak and inferior desires of individuals; especially those that follow conservative Judeo-Christian doctrine.
purpose = to prepare for the appearance of the Antichrist
Masters = demons or demon controlled individuals.
race of men = "humanity" as ruled by Lucifer
plan = complete domination in preparation for and after the appearance of the Antichrist.
seal the door where evil dwells = violent, if necessary, eradication of those that follow Judaism, conservative Christianity, some liberal Christianity, and other similar orthodox religions. [note: this is so because of the "separativeness" of these religious views. Djwhal Khul calls this evil, and that it must be eradicated for the Hierarchy's plans of the New Age-New World Religion to proceed. In multiple passages DK identifies the Jews and Christians as the spirit of separativeness, i.e., John 14:6, and Exodus 20:3]
power = often hideous and actual destructive forces.
The Great Invocation has now been translated into 50 languages and is the mantra of the New Age. It has even received the attention of world dignitaries at the UN where it has been sounded at many official conferences and during the opening ceremonies in 1992 at the UN's Earth Summit in Rio. During a talk given by Ida Urso at a Lucis Trust Arcane School conference in 1995, the connections between the UN and the Great Invocation were explained: "It is no coincidence that we are celebrating both the 50th anniversary of the Great Invocation and the United Nations. Both in different ways are pivotal to the Plan... let us together complete the triangle of light... let us contemplate that world body--'the hope of humanity'--which was conceived just 50 years ago under the impulse of the three spiritual Festivals (falling on March 28th, April 27th and May 26th)... It was on April 25, 1945 two days previous to the full moon of Taurus and the Festival of Wesak [note: the best time to recite the Great Invocation, according to Lucis Trust, as the energies of the Hierarchy are in alignment with the Earth] that delegates from 50 nations, met in San Francisco for a conference known officially as the United Nations Conference on International Organization... On this period the Tibetan Master tells us: 'Not for nothing is this conference being held during the five days of the Wesak Full Moon. It will be a time of supreme difficulty, in which the Forces of Light will face... the forces of selfishness and separativeness.'" It seems the dreaded UN was a spiritual undertaking in alignment with the luciferic light.

Whenever the Invocation is recited, according to Lucis Trust's booklet on the subject, that individual "allies himself with the spiritual Hierarchy," whether he knows it or not. And in Discipleship p. 156, Bailey writes, "it embodies the divine intent and summarizes the conclusions of the thinking of the planetary Logos."

Luciferic Initiation
Some background is necessary on Chakras and the Kundalini, in order to proceed further with this expose.

In Hindu occult practice (the main root of the New Age Movement) there are 7 major centers for kundalini energy. By occult methods using meditation, drugs, visualization, yoga and whatever means necessary, initiates seek to awaken the sleeping fiery serpent (kundalini) for a "higher" state of consciousness.

This kundalini energy is visualized as an entwined serpent which rises from the base of the spine to "enlighten" and eventually dissolve the ego — to become a god incarnate, thereby preventing further incarnation on the physical plane. The New Age disciples believe in reincarnation and are taught by the demonic Hierarchy that this is the only way to stop the endless cycle of Karma — to evolve into Gods...(i.e. Gen. 3:5).

That is the goal and the techniques vary, but as one "ascends" through the 7 progressive chakras, each is an initiation unto a higher consciousness, until finally when you reach the point of union with "Sanat Kumara", "Shiva", "Vishnu", "Lord of the World" or what they most blasphemously call the "Christ Consciousness".

Satan's deception is that through each successive chakra the occult initiate actually does perceive a shift in consciousness, which to him it seems, is a progressive shift. The occultist now feels his contact and psychic telepathy with the Hierarchy getting stronger. As he continues, the initiate invariably reaches a point of no return. There is no turning back and all those doubts he failed to heed — being the "right" path or not — are finally revealed to him...it's too late. They're his! This is called the Luciferic Initiation.

Texe Marrs put it best when he wrote, "These feelings, voiced by so many who have received a Luciferic Initiation, are significant. They point to two inescapable facts: (1) The initiate recognizes that he is coming into close contact with dark, evil forces, and a spirit of fear engulfs him; and (2) after the initiation, his mind is patently altered. This is what New Agers call the Kundalini or Skaktipat experience, technically termed a Paradigm (World-view) Shift." (Mystery Mark of the New Age, p.39)

Bailey's Planetary Logos
For the Greeks the Logos was the divine pattern found in humans. The plural of logic. The Hebrews had a similar view, which they called Dabar. Dabar was also a representation of a divine pattern, and they thought that it could only be found in certain things. An example would be Moses receiving the Word(Logos) from God through the Ten Commandments. It was known as the means through which man can receive the wisdom of God. The Apostle John was aware of this concept, and he used it to appeal to both the Greeks and the Hebrews of his time. "In the beginning was the Word (Logos), and the Word (Logos) was with God...and the Word (Logos) was made flesh, and dwelt among us." (John 1: 1,14) It was a particularly forceful way of teaching the Divinity of Jesus as the Logos. Consequently, this plural aspect in the Logos was to be a defining factor for the Church's teaching of the Trinity.

Jesus has always been the Logos. So when Bailey's teacher and mentor, H.P. Blavatsky, wrote, "...actually the 'Serpent' was the 'Lord God' himself, who, as the Ophis, the Logos, or the bearer-of divine creative wisdom, taught mankind to become creators in their turn...", [1] Christians must have been horrified. Bailey's own "Planetary Logos" carries on in the Luciferic tradition...she didn't call her organization Lucifer Trust for nothing!

HUMANITY
The City, Standing Foursquare  Active Intelligence Self-Consciousness Creativity  Ruler: Lucifer, Son of the Morning, The Prodigal Son  Planetary Throat Center

And so it is, Alice Bailey's "trinity". Notice that Lucifer is the Ruler of Humanity. He's also identified with something called the "planetary throat center." This is a clue that she is talking about chakras. Lucifer, or rather, luciferic energy is released when the 5th chakra (throat) is awakened. Notice how Sanat (Satan) Kumara is also identified with the "spiritual pineal gland" and "planetary head center", this would correspond to 7th chakra — chakras are also called "energy centers", so Bailey's "Planetary Centers" fits within the chakra teaching, and Bailey calls her Logos "Logoic kundalini."

What's more, each chakra is a Logos unto itself. Bailey says that the "Planetary Logos" is called the First Kumara, "the one Initiator," and "he came to this planet from Venus." [2] An allusion to Lucifer and his traditional association with Venus (Son of the Morning). Elsewhere, she writes that "the goal for the planetary Logos is God Consciousness",[3] and that the "illuminating light of the fifth Logos (Lucifer- 5th throat chakra) is felt at the third initiation." [4] And she makes another statement that the "Venus scheme" was "signalized" by the "Venusian planetary Logos on His fifth chain(chakra)". [5]

According to Hindu tradition, each chakra center also has its associated color. If you look at the drawing at top-right you can see that the 5th chakra (Lucifer) is given the color blue. Below it is a representation of the throat chakra bathed in its characteristic blue "light." Look familiar? It should! The Reader's Digest full page ad I've shown above also has a blue glow.

In part one I displayed the Lucis Trust logo and it too features this streaming blue light. The New Age Symbol invented by Foster Bailey has a plethora of symbolic imagery. The symbol, according to Lucis Trust, is "set in a limitless field of blue, which signifies the sphere of life expression of our solar logos...superimposed upon the triangle of new age forces is the five pointed star of [Anti]Christ. The Star is blue because it represents as much of the solar quality to which humanity can respond." You can see this symbol on the front cover of Lucis Trust's Beacon Magazine (bottom-right), which also displays the blue light of the "logos".

In Initiation, Human and Solar, Bailey mentions the five-pointed star as the final two initiations and "it descends upon him, merges in him, and he is seen at its center." The five pointed star "blazes forth" and "he enters within the flame." A perfect description of the Luciferic Initiation if there ever was one! This, she says, "puts a man in touch with the center in the Body of the Planetary Logos."

What made me realize the significance of Bailey's blue symbology was a short snippet, almost written in passing, in an e-mail sent to a list that I'm on: "Blue is Masonic Blue Lodge for Blue Light eyes of Horus the "Watcher". The United Nations has Blue Flags and Helmets. Blue is for the Occultic "Blue Lips of Death." It was sent by Pointman (some of you know him), so I knew it was an important part in their secret symbology. As I started checking into it, I realized he was absolutely right, and I had been working on these Lucis Trust pages at the time, which immediately brought the whole thing into perspective.

“The new world order must meet the immediate need and not be an attempt to satisfy some distant, idealistic vision. The new world order must be appropriate to a world which has passed through a destructive crisis and to a humanity which is badly shattered by the experience. The new world order must lay the foundation for a future world order which will be possible only after a time of recovery, of reconstruction, and of rebuilding.

In the preparatory period for the new world order there will be a steady and regulated disarmament. It will not be optional. No nation will be permitted to produce and organize any equipment for destructive purposes or to infringe the security of any other nation.

The new world order must be appropriate to a world which has passed through a destructive crisis...

We are concerned with only one subject, the ushering in of the new world order.

...the present world order (which is today largely disorder) can be so modified and changed that a new world and a new race of men can gradually come into being. Renunciation and the use of the sacrificial will should be the keynote for the interim period after the war (WWII), prior to the inauguration of the New Age.”

Billy Graham Exposed: One-World Aspirations
From the Research of Fritz Springmeyer

Some of the areas that Billy Graham deviates from Scripture are as follows:

He is on public record supporting homosexuality, abortion, his disbelief in a literal hell [which is where we are now -100777.com], his support and practice of infant baptism to save children, his support for the Catholic church's worship of Mary (yet he calls himself a Protestant). He has repeatedly praised infidels and apostates as great Christians. He actively supported the American government policy to fight the Vietnam War. He would not challenge the idea that the Bible is mythology, when directly questioned. The deception doesn't stop with the Protestants, Catholic supporters have been kept in the dark about his abortion views. The deception goes way beyond Protestant, Catholic beliefs.

The fact that he is a priest shows that he does not work for God. Please study the following links thoroughly.

Matthew 6:5-8 And when thou prayest, thou shalt NOT be as the hypocrites [ARE]: for they love to pray standing in the churches and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and WHEN THOU HAST SHUT THY DOOR, pray to thy Father in private (Enoch 56:5; Sura 7:55); and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use NOT vain repetitions, as the heathen [DO]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be NOT ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, BEFORE ye ask Him.

Matthew 23:8 But be NOT ye called rabbi; priest; imam (etc.): for ONE is your Teacher, [even] Christ; and all ye are brethren.

As a programmed multiple who participates in Satanic Ritual, Billy Graham has deceived everyone. The second area is concerns about his support for a One-World Church and a One-World-Government. This stems from:

Billy Graham 's public endorsements of the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches,
Billy Graham's consistent attendance at the World Council of Churches' meetings,
that Billy Graham has done more than anyone in the world to bring about the One-World-Harlot church, and he has done more than anyone to unite all the Christian groups into one organization,
Billy Graham's support of the Pope and the Catholic church which is the largest Christian religion and one of the pillars of the New Age One-World religious body being set up.
The support that the NCC and WCC gives him,
The support that the internationalists and globalists give Billy Graham. Billy Graham was first asked to do his Portland Crusade in 1993 by the WCC/NCC representative in this area who is a homosexual, a new ager, and leader of the ecumenical movement...

Please also consider registering (free) as a FriendOfLiberty at our Front Page, and taking the current Poll: Should the Council on Foreign Relations be Investigated for Treason?]

*** A third area is concern over the lack of depth that conversions at Billy Graham's crusades have, Some of the details on this are:

l. Only 2% of the people coming forward at a Crusade have never been Christians and are actually giving their life to Christ for the first time, and of these 80% fall away,

2. A great majority of people that come forward are sent to Catholic and extremely liberal Churches, extremely few are sent to solid Bible believing churches., In the Catholic Standard and Times, Thursday, July 16, 1992, p. 10, this Catholic paper reported that 1,900 Catholics responded to Billy Graham's call to make decisions for Christ in the Philadelphia Crusade and were referred to about 250 parishes.

3. People that come forward are sent even to Jewish synagogues and New Age churches.,

4. Converts are given the impression that Christ wants decisions for him, rather than that Christ wants disciples.

5. The people attending the crusades are almost all Christians, due to the high numbers of Christian counselors and the high number of church people which are always intentionally bussed in, (Frady exposes this, and in 1992 a writer of the Williamette Week did a major story for the magazine detailing how she had searched the entire week at the Billy Graham Crusade for an unsaved person and failed to find a single non-Christian. There were a few, but so few she didn't find any. Williamette Week, Oct. 1,1992.)

6. Most decisions at the crusades are for trivial things such as to stop smoking. Interestingly, Christians with discernment spoke about how hurting the churches were after the Billy Graham Crusade here in Portland. They had been made wild promises of success, they were fleeced of their money, and then given a lukewarm spiritual boost. Their comments reminded me of this warning to Billy Graham clear back in the 1950s as to how he was ruining the harvest field. Part of Satan's Planetary control is through religious leaders.

Christians have been conditioned to believe that Billy Graham is a great prophet of God by the establishment media, who have told us for years that Billy Graham was the most respected man in America, The percentages that the controlled Media have reported for Billy Graham's popularity may have been inflated.

Billy Graham is a 33rd degree Mason

This is an important issue, however, even if Billy Graham were not a 33° Mason, there are many things that he is doing that should warn Christians not to support him. There have been a number of people in casual conversation who have mentioned Billy Graham being a 33° Mason, for instance a CIA leader, a NSA person who is against the NWO, and various Masons. These accidental revelations are what can be considered casual evidence, in that it is accidentally heard.

Some of the people who have read Fritz Springmeyer's Be Wise As Serpents book have been experiencing validation of what was written on Billy Graham by their own casual contacts with people. These types of encounters are very meaningful to the people who experience them, but their significance is hard to communicate to others. Hopefully, readers of this, who are truth seekers, will have their own casual-evidence-validation experience. One piece of casual evidence came from a Shriner Clown. It turns out the only clowns who were chosen to perform for the Billy Graham 1993 Portland Crusade were Shriner Clowns. There were non-Masonic clowns available, even some Christian clowns, but the masons were the only ones Graham allowed to perform for him.

Various people, who have worked in the system for the Illuminati, such as an ex-witch who is now a Christian, an ex-33° Mason now a Christian, and a CFR's person also now a Christian, all testify that Billy Graham is a 33° Freemason. A woman and a man who are ex-Satanists and now Christians also have mentioned about Billy Graham's Masonic membership.

(One has to understand that there is a close working relationship between the Lodge and the Illuminati.)

To progress up the ranks in Satanism, they will require you to go through Freemasonry. Freemasonry then teaches people about the symbology of the mystery religions. The lodges bring in female Monarch slaves for some of their Egyptian sexual-magic rituals. If the reader were to get up in the morning and your mother, sister, and brother were in the kitchen and said that your mother had just drank a cup of coffee, you would be able to tell from their faces if they were telling the truth, and you would know that your mother had drank a cup of coffee. This is the way it is for us.

We know these witnesses know the truth, and we know they are not making it up. But if people don't believe that, then they need to go scrounge up their own witnesses, and risk their own hide in doing the contacting. The material we presented here is not frivolous work. As pearls of value, we hope that this research is not taken and allowed to become pearls given to swine. Because Billy Graham is such a key person for the Illuminati and the Satanic plan to bring in the Anti-Christ and the One-World-Religion, key parts of Graham's life have been intentionally shrouded, When he joined the Masonic lodge c. 1948, they intentionally kept his membership more secret than others. Why?

They are secret about their membership in general, but even more so if the person is a key Illuminatus and a big key to their religious control, This is why they have kept the membership of Charles T. Russell, founder of the Watchtower Society quiet. This is why they keep the memberships of the Mormon prophets secret, It has been a consistent pattern by the Masonic Lodge to keep these key people's membership very quiet. It would be much easier if we had a membership certificate, but for people who don't want to believe no amount of evidence would suffice.

In terms of a paper trail we have the following: Billy Graham's books consistently refer to basically only Masons. Billy Graham endorsed the Masonic DeMolay program for youth as God's work. This endorsement by Billy Graham is in a Masonic book that is used to educate people about "the craft" (that means Freemasonry). That book is The Clergy and the Craft and it says that the people who are quoted in it are Masons. (See Haggard, Forrest D. Transactions Missouri Lodge of Research, Vol. No. 27, The Clergy and the Craft, p. 127. where Graham endorses the Masonic youth program.

In terms of witnesses who have put what they have witnessed in writing we have the following: Jim Shaw, ex-33° Mason -- the highest ranking Freemason to defect to Christianity, writes about Billy Graham being at his 33° initiation ceremony. Huntington House refused to print his book co-authored with Tom McKenney unless they took out Billy Graham's name on pg. 104, and substituted a general description. (See The Deadly Deception, p. 104-105.) Only Freemasons are allowed to attend these initiations. (See The New Age, the official organ of The Supreme Council 33°. Wash., D.C., October 1961, p. 30.) Some Christians have tried every thing in their mind to get around Jim Shaw's testimony. And the Masonic Lodge are now claiming that he wasn't a 33° Freemason. There is no doubt that he was a 33° Mason.

IN DECEMBER 2001 BILLY GRAHAM WAS KNIGHTED BY QUEEN ELIZABETH

That should speak volumes to anyone who has understanding of the Illuminati pyramid power structure and the most powerful Merovingian blood line of the Royal Family.

What we are seeing is how important it is to the Illuminati to keep Billy Graham's membership secret. Originally, Dr. Morey who wrote a book on Freemasonry told me over the phone that Billy Graham was a 33° Freemason and that he had held his membership file in his hand in the library of the House of the Temple, which is where the Supreme Council of the 33° has their headquarters. However, now he denies it and says that he only was told by the librarians that the file existed, but that he didn't examine the membership file. He wrote a letter to Christian News to the editor which was printed. At least, his letter to the editor of Christian News says that the Scottish Rite have a Billy Graham file.

William M. Watson--DIRECTOR OF THE BILLY GRAHAM EVANGELISTIC ASSOCIATION, he is a Freemason, and he is also President of Occidental Petroleum Corporation. Chairman of Occidental was Armand Hammer. Watson is also a member of the development council of the Masonic run Baylor University. Baylor University has participated in the mind-control, (See also the expose of Baylor University in Be Wise As Serpents.) He also was a member of the advisory council to the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth which had at least three Freemasons on its board of trustees, and likely more.

David M. McConnell--DIRECTOR OF THE BILLY GRAHAM EVANGELISTIC ASSOCIATION, he is a Freemason, He was also U.S. ambassador to the United Nations (1968-69), business associate with Illuminatus Charles Gambrell, in Belk Stores of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Arthur Lee Malory--CO-CHAIRMAN of the BILLY GRAHAM CRUSADE Advisory Committee for the 1973 St. Louis Crusade -- 32° Freemason, deacon in a Southern Baptist Church.

Who are some of the primary ministers that had worked with 33° Freemason Billy Graham over the years? Billy Graham has helped set up other 33° Masons in ministry. Billy Graham has placed his stamp of approval on almost every well-known apostate Christian out there. When Billy Graham had a crusade in Japan, the Japanese minister that he had up on the platform was a well-known extremely liberal Christian. A conservative Japanese was shocked. Billy Graham is also endorsing many of the books, and ministries of these apostates. Some of the three biggest ministers in the protestant world, Robert Schuller, Norman Vincent Peale, and Oral Roberts are all 33° Masonic brothers of 33° Freemason Billy Graham. (See Roberts, Oral. Miracle of Seed Faith, p.9.) Billy Graham has helped each of these brothers with their ministries. Robert Schuller taught principles of church growth to Unity School in Kansas City. A Christian, who used to be on staff there, said that Robert Schuller was fully aware that Luciferian Initiations were going on at the school and that he didn't care. Robert Schuller, 33° Freemason, was helped into ministry by Billy Graham. Schuller also participates in the Monarch program and is also sexually serviced by Monarch slaves.

Norman Vincent Peale's form of Christianity called positive thinking is actually only white witchcraft with different names. Peale simply is a "Christian" witch. Norman Vincent Peale, 33° Freemason, his church receive the bulk of people who came forward at the NY Crusade. Norman Vincent Peale is a 6° Illuminatus (Pilgrim Society), and a 33° Freemason. In the magazine Psychic Magazine of San Francisco Peale says of occultist Kreskin, All he's doing is dramatizing what I've been preaching in my writing for years. Norman Vincent Peale controls the approx. $200 million Presbyterian Minister's Fund. He celebrated the 25th anniversary of the United Nations. He was the keynote speaker at the birthday of the late Mormon prophet Spencer W. Kimball (a secret Mason).

Peale praised Kimball as a true prophet of God, and a great man of God. Peale practices witchcraft, and palms it off on unsuspecting Christians under different terminology. The false unity movement which is so strong today, wants to unite the devout Christian with the likes of Norman Vincent Peale. Peale is a good friend of Billy Graham, and Billy Graham referred the largest number of new converts of the NY Billy Graham Crusade to Peale's church. Oral Roberts, 33° Freemason, helped into ministry by his Masonic brother Billy Graham. Oral Roberts has been seen by witnesses participating in SRA and Mind- control. Oral Roberts University and the charismatic movement is another important religious front. The Charismatic movement has been infiltrated by multiples since day-one. The history of the infiltration is extensive. Oral Roberts had Cherokee blood, According to some things that Oral Roberts has said, some Christians think that he received his healing powers from an old Indian who healed him through Indian shamanism when Oral was young.

At times, Oral does use the same methods that spirit mediums use to heal with. According to slaves who have been deprogrammed, they were in satanic rituals with Oral Roberts. Christian ministers, who have participated in his ministry are saying that they have seen massive swindle in his healing ministry. His university is being used as a programming center. His basketball team at one time had Monarch slaves playing on it. We do not know if they still do. Under the prayer tower is one of the programming sites. Billy Graham, a handler himself, helped launch Oral Roberts University, and is a friend of Oral Roberts. From the Illuminati's point of view Tulsa is the Guardian City of Apollo. The City of Faith is to be the center for healing from AEsculapius, a demon related to Apollo. While portraying themselves as Christians, infiltrators within the charismatic movement are carrying out satanic rituals to get demonic healing powers. Tulsa is one of, if the main center for the campaign to infiltrate Christianity via the Charismatic/Pentecostal movement with programmed multiples.

G. Bromiey Oxnam, 33 ° Freemason, was head of the FCC churches, supportive friend of Billy Graham, G. Bromley Oxnam has a long history to him of working for the elite, interested readers can pick up his story in Be Wise As Serpents in the chapter that goes into the details about how the Christian churches were organized by the FCC and WCC for the Illuminati.

The NWO is infiltrating the churches via the Earth Stewardship Movement. An attempt was made at Rio de Janeiro to get an Earth Charter but there wasn't enough time, their were lots of N.O.G. delegates and just in general lots of people to coordinate (4,000 attended). Another Earth Summit was promised, but instead they decided at the end of Sept/Oct of '95 to have a State of the World Forum to be held by/sponsored by the Gorbachev Foundation at the Presidio, CA. The ex-head of the KGB, Gorbachev is now headquartered in the Presideo, a major mind-control programming site. Christian basher Ted Turner was the chairman of the conference. The cost was $5,000 per person and the invitations went out to only select people. There were 100 handpicked politicians who received invitations, along with Billy Graham and Mother Teresa. This was coordinated with the 50th anniversary of the UN which was being celebrated all over the world.

FLEECING THE SHEEP

The charismatic movement claims to have the Holy Spirit in a special way, however, some seem to be lacking in all discernment that the Holy Spirit would give. There are several books exposing the big name Charismatic ministers. One is written by an ex-charismatic Assembly of God minister. He shows a picture in his book of an Assembly of God flier promoting the "Testimony of J. Edgar Hoover."

Yes, the Assembly of God promoted the, "testimony" of J. Edgar Hoover, while he was known to be a power hungry individual who practiced homosexuality. It was this type of hype that caused this minister to grow disillusioned with the charismatic movement's so called spirituality. Recently, the spiritual discernment of Billy Graham and many other big time ministries was exposed when these big Christian ministries were conned out of $550 million dollars. Billy Graham introduced John G. Bennett to thousands of people at a recent Billy Graham Crusade in Philadelphia in 1992. John Bennett gave his testimony at the crusade. Because Billy Graham, John Templeton, and Laurance Rockefeller were apparently supportive of John G. Bennett, big time Christian ministries "trusted" him. John told many of the big Christian ministries that if they gave him millions of dollars, for every million he received he would give them two million back. Many of the big Christian ministries gave Bennett money--in fact he collected $550 million (which he ran off with) from ministries such as Pat Robertson's, Bill Bright's, Chuck Colson's, Luis Palau's, Westminster Theological Seminary, Wheaton College, the Salvation Army and many others. The reader may have heard of this New Era Foundation scam. That's what it was.

Bennett told these "Christian" leaders "Give New Era one million dollars and we'll give you back two million." The donations of hard earned money by many innocent Christian believers were lost, However, the Christian believers are partially responsible because the church has refused to clean house of wolves that set in their pulpits. For instance, when Billy Graham came to the Portland area all the various denominations from the most liberal to the most conservative supported him. Only about a dozen churches did not get involved and only one church actively tried to expose Billy Graham--EVEN THOUGH THERE HAS BEEN A MASS OF DOCUMENTATION EXPOSING BILLY GRAHAM AS A WOLF FOR 30 YEARS. When the church refuses to follow God's Word and supports these men-- then they must take some of the blame when these men give their millions of hard earned dollars away to a con artist.

INADEQUATE REACTIONS

When people have been warned about Billy Graham, one of the common responses is for people to call up the Billy Graham crusade staff. If I ask a biologist a question about biology I can expect to get a credible answer, If I ask a mother about her son I can expect to get a credible answer. But how in the world can someone call up the Billy Graham Crusade staff and expect to get a credible answer to the question Is Billy Graham a Mason?

The person that answers the phone is likely a secretary, someone who knows Billy Graham no more than the janitor. What does that person know about the Freemasons? Because the Freemasons are a secret society, in general, there are only two basic categories of people--people involved with Freemasonry, and they certainly know what's going on in it but they have taken blood oaths on penalty of death not to talk about it, and those who aren't involved with Freemasonry and don't know anything about it. There are only a few people who are not masons, who are informed about the Masons. The answer of some secretary over the phone to the question, Is Billy Graham a Freemason? is of little value, because the secretary or other staff member has not had the opportunity to get reliable information. This is from the standpoint of getting a reliable witness, calling some secretary or staff member is simply not a credible response to all the documentation. No court would view a secretary of a large organization as an expert witness qualified to settle such a dispute.

The second catch is that such witnesses are not reasonably unbiased. It is expected that Billy Graham's staff would front for him any questions that could expose him to bad publicity. This last comment is not speculation.

There is proof that Billy Graham's staff has consistently lied over the years to prevent negative publicity about Billy Graham. When Richard Nixon met with his political buddies to decide who to have run with him, the person he asked first in the smoke-filled room was Billy Graham, I have read the account of this is more than one place, but I will quote Marshall Frady's description of when Billy Graham was asked who he thought should run with Nixon as Nixon's vice-presidential running mate. Billy Graham chose 33° Masonic brother (then only 32°) Mark Hatfield. Here is Frady's description. "His assimilation into the Nixon presidency had already been well underway, in fact, at that convention in Miami when, after Nixon's nomination, Graham wound up sitting in Nixon's penthouse suite among the smoggy late-night deliberations over Nixon's vice-presidential selection: Graham himself, whatever initial uncertainty he might have felt to find himself in such a political locker-room session, soon pitched into the proceedings with his own effusive recommendation of Mark Hatfield:

"He's a great Christian leader. He's almost a clergyman. He's been an educator, and he's taken a more liberal stand on most issues than you, and I think the ticket needs that kind of balance." In 1992, Mark Hatfield, along with Prince Hall Freemason Jessie Jackson both were on television in July of last year defending Billy Graham's actions. Mark Hatfield, according to a deprogrammed slave has been a user of Monarch sexual slaves.

NY's Union Seminary is controlled and funded by the Rockefellers. President of Union Seminary was Dr. Henry Van Dusen. Billy Graham made him a prominent person in his crusade and said he was a "classic example" of a mass evangelism conversion, If that is a good example of Graham's conversions, we Christians should shudder. It is no coincidence that the Southern Baptists of which Billy Graham is a member, is controlled by the Freemasons. Brook Hays, Pres, of the So. Bapt. Convention was a high ranking Freemason as well as part of the CFR. None of the So. Bapt. Convention's Presidents have opposed Freemasonry. Pres. Bill Clinton, a slave handler, is a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church which is a Southern Baptist Church in Little Rock, Ark. The late Bill Moyers who promoted the Mystery Religions was a Southern Baptist.

Moyers went to the SW Baptist Theological Seminary, the same school run by one of Billy Graham's staff directors. John Buchanan is another Southern Baptist. John Buchanan went to a So. Bapt. Seminary, and then worked as a front man for People for the American Way started by Jewish Norman Lear, an anti-Christian. People might be shocked to learn of some of the New Age teachings and New Age teachers that have been allowed into the Southern Baptist churches. The Southern Baptist youth program is based on Masonic ideas and is very Masonic in its ritual.

SUMMARY

The reader is thanked for wading through a lot of difficult material. The reader can see why Billy Graham may well be the greatest deception that has ever been successfully pulled off. But as Abraham Lincoln said, "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time." Ever since the early 1950s, there have been Christians exposing Billy Graham, But the control of the Christian media and the Christian seminaries is far more extensive than most people realize. Be Wise As Serpents diagrams out how the Christian religious denominations are being controlled, and how the Masons and Illuminati-connected administrators and trustees have control of most of the Seminaries. Billy Graham without a doubt works directly for the Satanic hierarchy. But a rational and fair appraisal of what the man is, and what damage he has done to Christianity will probably not be given much of a chance.

Nobody, no matter who they are is going to fool Christ. There will be a real evaluation done on judgment day.

THE "LOUISIANA MASONIC FAMILY" WEB SITE REPORTS THAT THE REVEREND BILLY GRAHAM IS A FREEMASON!! For the past three decades, we Fundamental, Born Again Christians have repeatedly shaken our heads in dismay at the many strange and apostate actions that the organization of the Reverend Billy Graham was taking.
