The Islamic Antichrist

In "The Islamic Antichrist," Joel Richardson breaks new ground with this devastating account of the possible connection between the Biblical Antichrist and the Islamic Mahdi. The Bible predicts that in the last days a charismatic leader will establish a global following in the name of peace. The Quran also predicts that a man will rise up to lead the nations, pledging to usher in an era of peace. The man in the Quran is called the Mahdi, or Islam's savior. However, the man in the Bible is the Antichrist. Could it be possible that they are one and the same person?

Richardson's stunning research and analysis suggest that it is. In "The Islamic Antichrist," he exposes Western readers to the traditions of Islam and predicts that the end times may not be that far away. His book will stun readers who are unaware of the similarities between the Antichrist and the 'Islamic Jesus.'

Chapter titles include “Islamic Eschatology,” “The Sacred Texts of Islam,” “Comparing the Biblical Antichrist and the Mahdi,” “The Dark Nature of Muhammad’s Revelations,” “How Should we Respond,” and “Preparing for Martyrdom.”

The Emergent Church is pushing for unity with Islam(Warren and Hybels have gone to 100s of Islamic conferences to get unity with them)

The last Pope and current Pope are doing the same.

There's this "Chrislam" movement going on in a growing number of churches today

You had good 'ole Billy Graham proclaiming at the 9/11 funeral after the attacks how Muslims "are his friends".

Most of the "truth" movement is blaming the "evil Israeli Zionists" for the "persecution of Muslims".

Or how about that movie "V for Vendetta", where Guy Fawkes was portrayed as a patriot hero, and those that had the Qu'ran in their homes were the ones taken away and killed?

Why is Hollywood warming up to Islam?

We can go on and on - but there just seems to be WAY too much Islam-sympathy today. Like I explained in another thread, there's this LIE in today's modern day church how Christians and Muslims worship the same God b/c supposedly they come from the same God of Abraham lineage(although they keep overlooking the fact that Islam was created in *600 AD*).

BTW - doesn't anyone find it odd how Muslims are NOT the ones saying "We need to find common ground with Christians"? Roll Eyes

Or how about that movie "V for Vendetta", where Guy Fawkes was portrayed as a patriot hero,

He was a Catholic Jesuit that tried to stop the creation of the KJB.

I was impressed that he stressed the importance of the final anti-christ being superficially a man of peace. I was thinking about this today and wondered about all the previous anti-christ figures eg Nero Hitler etc have been men of war. I was thinking that the spirit of the anti-christ is a demon...

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

So will the anti-christ be a demonised man or a spirit?
Just musings-i dont think its clear whether the treaty will be with the reformed Roman union or the Islamic world i tend to think the former (ie a european anti-christ) but it could go either way...Its difficult to read the Daniel prophesy as Islam as it was not around.

Exactly - also that "V for Vendetta" movie portrayed the "persecuted" as homosexuals(remember the scene where 2 lesbian lovers got hauled off in the police state) and owners of Qu'rans(that Letterman-like talk show host). Overall, that movie was just COMPLETELY backwards when they tried to portray what government tyranny is. However, even the "conservatives" in the MSM like Joe Scarborough completely missed the mark when they tried to critique this so-called "liberal-biased" movie(Scarborough himself is an RC, so no surprise here).

http://alternativenewsreport.net/red-alert-muslim-brotherhood/imam-mahdi-rising/

“People will rise from the East, preparing the way for the re-appearance of the Imam Mahdi.”  - quoted from an Iranian video proclaiming the imminent appearance of the Muslim Savior, who is the known to many American theologians as the Christian Antichrist.

Was the 2011 “Arab Spring” a prophesied spiritual sign which American Christians should study? I have written about certain Mideastern predictions of their coming “last Imam”, the 12th Mecca Imam or the Imam Mahdi, several times during the last few years. Today I am giving readers an update in advance of 2012.

The Iranian government is presently engaged in a massive public education effort to inform their citizens and those of neighboring Muslim states that the rise of the Imam Mahdi, their “last Muslim savior” is imminent. They are also teaching their people that when the Imam Mahdi arrives on the world scene, he will make Iraq the seat of his world government, specifically the town of Kufa, or Al-Kufah. This sleepy village is south of Baghdad [ see map].

At the end of this essay I have posted two videos which are English translations of the Iranian propaganda machine’s present efforts to prepare their people for the arrival of the Imam Mahdi and for war. There is not a doubt in my mind that when of if US forces withdraw from Iraq, that Iran will quickly sweep in and begin anew their own conquest of the region, based on what’s being set forth in these two videos which I have posted below at the end of this report.

The Iranian people see the rise of the Imam Mahdi as a time heralding the arrival of a global government of ‘peace, prosperity and justice’. [ See the highlighted quote in this Iranian news article: http://worldmeets.us/kayhan000061.shtml#axzz1evPi8sCn  ]

An Islamic Antichrist?

Something amazing has happened in the last three decades. The Palestinian cause in the Middle East has widened out into a full-scale Islamic revolution. The rapid expansion of Islamic power has directed new speculation about the events that will unfold during the Tribulation. Specifically, many are now suggesting that the Antichrist will arise out of the Islamic world.

Persuasive books and other publications are now making the case for this development. The Islamic Antichrist, by Joel Richardson and God’s War on Terror, by the former Muslim Walid Shoebat have both linked Mystery Babylon with latter-day Islam. Certainly, Islam has an “Antichrist Spirit.” But can it really be true that the Antichrist will arise from the Islamic culture?

Really, the question boils down to this: Will he arise from Islam society, or as the Bible has been interpreted for centuries, does he come from the West? There are at least two strong arguments in favor of his Western origin. First, the power of Islam is broken in a war at the beginning of the Tribulation. Second, the Bible gives the genealogy of the Antichrist that strongly points to his Graeco-Roman origin.

Let’s begin by briefly reviewing recent Mideast history, then compare these events with Scripture.

After years of ineffectual struggle, the current Arab uprising first gained real momentum in Tunis when, in January, 2011, longtime President Ben Ali was overthrown, leading to new elections for the beleaguered and impoverished people. Their success, followed by the ensuing Libyan revolt, heralded what the Western press came to call “The Arab Spring.” When the radicals saw their propaganda successfully taking hold, they were spurred on to new revolts in Egypt and Syria.

Out of these developments, we witnessed the coalescing of a new power, as the Islamic Brotherhood declared itself the reigning Arab leadership. Libya’s Moammar Khadaffi was hunted down and killed. Egypt’s three-decade dictator Hosni Mubarak was deposed and put on trial for crimes against the people.

Currently, the Brotherhood is exploiting a growing regional volatility of their own making, to create a new international power. Their professed objective is the realization of an obsessive dream – the establishment of a grand international caliphate. The last such centralized Islamic rule came to an end with the downfall of the Ottoman Empire around the time of World War One. It was then replaced by the Republic of Turkey.

Since that time, many Arabs have expressed their dream that a new caliphate would rise, bringing the Mideast to a golden age of strength and wealth. It threatens to expand beyond any national boundary, realizing the long-held goal of an Islamic caliphate that will cover the region from the British Isles to India’s western border and southward into Africa.

Recent History

Following the 1973 Yom Kippur war, the Egyptians reluctantly forged a peace treaty with Israel. It came into effect in 1979 and was commonly referred to as the Carter-Sadat Treaty. It demilitarized the Sinai Penninsula and lasted for thirty years, until 2011, with the end of the Mubarak era.

From its beginning, this peace treaty was routinely mocked by other Arab states, and particularly by Yasser Arafat, who said it would never last. Arafat founded the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) with the idea of undoing everything Israel had done since forming their nation in1948.

Ironically, the present Arab uprising can be dated back to 1983, when Arafat was forced to move PLO headquarters to Tunisia, following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. Before that, he had established Al Fatah, and its military arm, Al Assifa, which grew to become the central authority of the Islamic resistance.

By 1988 Arafat, in a major tactical change, had given up his terrorist cause and freely spoke of Israel’s right to exist. A 1993 agreement with the PLO expressed Israel’s legitimate presence alongside a self-ruling Palestinian Jericho and Gaza Strip. The wily old founder of Al Fatah was then made president of the Palestinian Authority (PA). In 1995 and 1996, another agreement brought self-rule in all Arab cities on the West Bank of the Jordan River.

A more-or-less lasting peace in the region ensued until September of 2000, when Arafat’s forces were accused of attacking Israelis once again. He died in 2004, leaving a PLO divided between Fatah and the Islamic Brotherhood’s Palestinian terrorist arm, Hamas. For the last decade there has been a steadily deteriorating relationship between the PA and Israel. Ironically, when Arafat died, the process of Israel’s unilateral disengagement from Gaza was begun, to be completed in September, 2005. Always eager for peace, the Israelis had given up Gaza to Hamas as a gesture of good will. But it wasn’t long until internecine strife between Hamas and Fatah erupted into street fighting. The struggle for the “liberation” of Gaza rages to this day.

But Israel’s olive branch resulted only in greater hostility. It played right into the hands of Hamas, which has never concealed the fact that it’s prime desire is to see Israel annihilated. Its continual firing of rockets into Israel provided the background music for the arming of Hezbollah in Lebanon. It fueled the passions of the Iranians, who continually call for the death of the “little Satan” (Israel) and the “great Satan” (the USA).

It encouraged the Islamic Brotherhood, spurring them onward toward the great revolution that will bring the grand caliphate and their mahdi (messiah figure), who will convert the world to Islam. They now believe he is on the verge of appearing, but they disagree on how he will take control.

Who Will Lead?

The two major factions of Islam – Sunnis and Shiites – disagree on how their mahdi will rule. The Sunnis believe that the caliph who will someday head their government, should be elected by Islamic governmental representatives.

On the other hand, Shiite Muslims believe that the caliph will be chosen by Allah from among the direct offspring of Mohammed. The most radical Shiites, called the Twelvers, believe that the supernatural being, a messianic figure they call the Imam Mahdi, will personally come to present himself as leader, arising from a subterranean hiding place, where he has resided for the past few centuries.

Muslim leaders are quite vocal about his coming. Their outspoken bravado seems to have persuaded some in the West that his arrival will fulfill the biblical qualifications for the Antichrist.

Many Christians have begun to say that it is this mysterious figure, regardless of his method of arrival, who will rise to power, fulfilling the Bible’s description of the one who comes to deceive the Jews into believing that he is their true Messiah:

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God” (II Thess. 2:3,4).

The sense that Islam is becoming stronger and more unified … that its vaunted period of rule has arrived, has caused many to assume that they will realize their goal. Certainly, Islamic leaders of the Middle East believe this. But it also seems that their belief is beginning to convince Western society … and even Christians!

Islam to be Destroyed

And this, in spite of the fact that Bible prophecy specifically calls for an unprecedented destruction of Islam in a coming great war. This war will begin in the Mideast and spread to the entire world. In breathtaking fashion, Israel will rise to victory as the war comes to an end. What then? Will the Jews accept an Islamic ruler from among the rag-tag survivors of the great war? That would be very doubtful, indeed. Remember, Scripture says that they will accept him as their long-awaited Messiah … but a Moslem?

This thought requires perspective: We must never forget that it is the recent publicity about the Twelvers’ belief in the coming Imam Mahdi that has most likely set in motion the speculation about an Islamic Antichrist.

This assumes that Islam will rise to a victorious position in the region. From the strictly secular point of view, there is now the growing impression that the Islamic juggernaut has reached the point of global prominence. It is infiltrating Europe and the Americas. It regularly boasts that it will control the world in a generation. But the Bible says otherwise.
The Coming War

For example, many have begun to point to Psalm 83 as a prophecy of Israel’s latter-day enemies. Eleven tribes of the Middle East are shown just as we see them today. This collection of enemies is a composite of all who have ever opposed Israel:

“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah” (Psalm 83:4-8).

And what happens to these Islamic offspring of all evil? They are summarily wiped out:

“O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD” (Psalm 83:13-16).

This Psalm constitutes a prophecy, stating both the goal of Israel’s enemies, and their final fate. These are the peoples that comprise today’s Islamic Brotherhood, defeated in the fires of war.

And where else do we see them mentioned? The prophet Zechariah speaks of the precise situation we find today:

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God. In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem” (Zech. 12:2-6).

Gog’s Hapless Invasion

To make the point once more, we have only to look at Ezekiel 38 and 39, in which an alliance of Russia, Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Turkey, Eastern Europe and others combine to invade Israel. This is the great northern invasion of Gog of the land of Magog, dragged into the fray by the very zealots of the Islamic Brotherhood who are today crying for Israel’s blood. “And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth…” (Ezekiel 38:4).

And what happens to Gog and these mighty warriors? Observe:

“And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 39:3-6).

They are utterly destroyed in a crushing defeat that dwarfs anything ever seen in past wars. Here, we see that the fires of war blow back on Magog and the “isles” (the continents), showing that though it started in the Mideast it spreads to the entire world. The cleanup from this war stretches over a seven year period:

“Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken. And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog” (Ezekiel 39:8-11).

Many writers have already pointed out that Israel will bury the invaders’ bodies in the territory of Moab and Ammon, east of the Dead Sea. It takes them seven years to accomplish this feat, ruling out the possibility that the war takes place during the Tribulation, since Israel will be fleeing for her life during the second half of the Tribulation. The initial attack must take place far ahead of the seven-year period.

And where is the Imam Mahdi during this legendary rout? Has he emerged from the Twelvers’ subterranean well-shaft? If so, he witnessed only defeat. Is he elected to power by the sheikhs? If so, he has no land to rule.

Following this amazing victory, Israel will rise to power, led by a savior-figure who falsely claims to be their Messiah. And he will provide proof, standing up in a new temple and declaring himself to be a god. But certainly, he won’t be Islamic. At this time, when the smoke of battle still hangs heavy in the air, with millions of Moslems lying dead on the battlefield, would he claim to be the great Mahdi? No, he would certainly claim to be the Jew’s Messiah. Furthermore, he confirms a covenant with Israel’s leaders, insuring temple sacrifices and offerings, a promise which he soon rescinds:

“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate” (Daniel 9:26,27).

It is the signing of this false covenant that marks the precise beginning of the Tribulation.

Furthermore, Daniel gives us Antichrist’s genealogy, saying that this “prince” (the Antichrist) will be descended from the Flavian Dynasty of Vespasian and Titus. They are, after all, as Daniel puts it, “the people … who destroy the city and the sanctuary.”

Who were the Flavians? They were the Roman dictators who waged wars against the Jews during the close of the first century. Furthermore, they are well known to have intermarried with members of the Herodian dynasty. This intertwining began about 36 BC, when Caesar Augustus thrust the Edomite Herod the Great upon the Jews, insulting them by giving him the offensive title, “King of the Jews.”

Additionally, the Flavian bloodline included the Greek Seleucids, descending from Antiochus IV Ephiphanes, himself. In 167 BC, this evil character had captured the Jewish temple and placed a statue of himself in the Holy of Holies, dressed as Zeus. He is the foremost type of the Antichrist.

These three bloodlines … Herodian, Seleucid and Roman … converge in the Flavian dynasty. In the second century AD and following, the descendants of these royals became the leaders of the Holy Roman Empire.

J.R. Church’s two books, Guardians of the Grail and Bloodline of the Antichrist are both dedicated to documenting this clearcut, singular truth.

Indeed, the entire eleventh chapter of Daniel is dedicated to tracing the Antichrist’s descent from Alexander the Great, through the Greek Seleucids and Antiochus IV Epiphanes, all the way down to the royal house of Rome and finally, Antichrist himself.

This will be the man who will pull the war-torn world together from the ashes of the coming Mideast war. Islam will be crushed in that war. But the global financial system will survive. Its merchant bankers, in league with the esoteric gods of the marketplace will rule the world.

The Jews would never accept an Islamic Mahdi who had allowed the destruction of his own people, then turned to offer himself as their savior!

The Twelfth Imam and World War III

 Terror - Islam
Thursday, April 05, 2012
J.L. Robb

Most of my Jewish and Christian friends don’t realize that Islam also has a messiah. They aren’t really familiar with the Twelfth Imam, don’t even know if it’s a plant, animal or concrete. Those who don’t believe at all could care less and think it really has no effect on them.

The Twelfth Imam concept is probably the most critical happening in today’s world. Where’s the news? This messianic figure can only come when the world is at war, and Iran is trying her best to make that happen.

Don’t forget, a suicidal cult is not worried about retribution. They will simply be “martyrs” and will be hurrying on their way to The Land of Seventy-Two Virgins. I’m not sure what the female “martyrs” get but doubt it’ll be Chippendale dancers.

When I started reading the Quran, it didn’t take very long to see that if the Quran was true, the Bible was not. The more I read, the more I realized that Muhammad took the Jewish story, embellished it with Arab leanings and told all his neighbors it was true.

Drawing on the Old Testament, Muslim clerics started telling their flocks that they were now the chosen ones. The Jews (they often use more derogatory words) had failed God, again. The Christians worshipped three gods and  polytheism was blasphemy. Islam was the way, the only way, there is no God but Allah.

And like most flocks, the early Arab converts from paganism to the new religion with an invisible God, believed what they were told. Don’t we all do that?

The Twelfth Imam is the Islamic messiah who is to come, though this belief exists primarily among the Shi’a sect, not the Sunni. The Shi’a are spreading this belief in their superiority to the Sunni countries, sort of, through news propaganda and a government sponsored video about the coming al-Mahdi, The Twelfth Imam.

Joel Rosenberg, author of The Twelfth Imam, has lectured for years about this soon to come figure, at least some think he’s soon to come, especially the leaders of Iran. I would encourage all readers to join his blog.

Islam has two main sects, the Shi’a or Shi’ites, and the Sunni. How did that split happen? In a nutshell, Muhammad left no successor when he died in 632 AD. His only son died at an early age. The Muslims at the time were in dire straits with no successor and they asked A’isha, Muhammad’s favorite wife, if Muhammad had mentioned anyone to follow in his footsteps? She said he chose Abu Bakr, her father.

One group was ok with that, and they became Sunni. The other group wanted Ali, Muhammad’s cousin and son-in-law, to be the successor.

Today there are about 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. Of those, Shi’ites make up approximately 11% and the Sunnis make up the additional 89%, far from the even split so often portrayed.

It is the Shi’ites who believe whole-heartedly in the Twelfth Imam, the savior who will come, and who already exists, to help them conquer the world for Islam. Jesus is supposed to be right with him.

That may happen, but I think Jesus will not be “with” him but kicking butt instead; at least according to Revelation.

Iran, not Arab but Persian, is the largest Shi’ite country in the world, with 62 million. Iran recently released a video about the coming al-Mahdi, The Twelfth Imam. The Iranian government absolutely believes that they will take over the world. So for the unbelievers, those who believe that God is a myth, the Shi’a belief is that they, the Iranians, will conquer the world, including you. All they have to do is get the Big War started.

Jesus’ apostles seemed fixated on the “last days” or the “end times” after Jesus told them it was going to eventually happen; and it wasn’t going to be pretty. I’m fixated on the subject myself, and so are a lot of others. I am sure the apostles asked the same questions that we would’ve probably asked:  When is it going to happen? What will it be like? How long will it last? Is it gonna hurt? Will we have to endure it?

Jesus said that he didn’t know when it would all start, and deferred to God.

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:36 NIV)

Then Jesus described the events of the last days as “dreadful.” I think that will turn out to be an understatement.

“Immediately after the distress of those days, ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’” (Matthew 24:29 NIV)

Doesn’t look good.

Jesus gave his apostles another sign to watch for, something to quench a little of their thirst to know about the end.

“At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.” (Mark 13:21-23 NIV)

A coming False Prophet is mentioned three times in Revelation and will be a central figure in the destruction of Earth as we now know it. We need to all pay attention.

"Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.” (Revelation 16:3 NIV)

“But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.” (Revelation 19:20 NIV)

“And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Revelation 20:10 NIV)

There are three major branches of Shi’a Islam. The largest branch, Ithna ashariyya, is known in English as the Twelver’s.

Twelvers believe that there have been twelve imams. Ali was the first and Mahmoud al-Mahdi was the last. They believe that the last, al-Mahdi, is still in hiding in the spirit world, and hasn’t been seen since 874 AD. They believe he lives in a cave and is awaiting his opportunity: When the world is at war. That would be the world, not the middle-east.

As Iran, ancient Persia, tries to start World War III to make the Twelfth Imam happen, the United Nations has meetings.

God has told us the story, he has told us what will happen; and now I think he is sitting back and watching it all play out.

It is my belief that the Twelfth Imam will be a real figure, and his title will be the False Prophet as described in Revelation.

Iran Preparing for ‘The Last Six Months’ Prior to the Reappearance of the ‘Islamic Messiah’

“Despite the recent declaration by Iran that it does not want a nuclear bomb and statements by regime officials that they are willing to negotiate over the nuclear issue, indications from within Iran signal massive preparation for an all-out war as part of its destiny.

Nine years ago a Revolutionary Guards arm, the Holy Defense, published a book, ‘The Last Six Months,’ in which it describes the conditions needed in the last six months prior to the reappearance of the last Islamic messiah. The book was distributed in the hundreds of thousands to all Guards, Basij and army bases throughout the country.

Islam’s Shiites believe their 12th Imam, Mahdi, will reappear at the end of times and kill all the infidels, raising the flag of Islam in all four corners of the world.

The book admonishes the military forces that they must be prepared to do their duties during those six months and that there will be many signs to help the faithful to understand the transition, which will center on Iran.

The book, which relies on Islamic hadiths by the Prophet Mohammad and his descendants from centuries ago, describes the 9/11 attacks and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq as signs that the time is near. But it also prophesies much more significant signs that would launch the six-month time frame for the reappearance of Mahdi: an attack on Syria and then an attack on Iran.

Both those events are looking increasingly likely as Syria’s Bashar al-Assad continues to murder his own people and Iran continues its quest for nuclear weapons.

Mahdi will only reappear, Shiites believe, when Israel is destroyed and the U.S. is brought to its knees; two-thirds of the world’s population will die in a nuclear exchange, and with this chaos and havoc engulfing the earth, the ‘coming’ will unfold.

As revealed in the Iranian secret documentary ‘The Coming Is Upon Us,’ it is believed within the Islamic regime that the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is the historical figure as claimed in a hadith who will rise up against the infidels and pass the flag of Islam to Imam Mahdi, the last Islamic messiah.

According to a source who served in the Guards’ intelligence – he has defected to a country in Europe – billions of dollars have been spent on the military forces to emphasize this very ideology of the coming as well as preparation for an all-out war.

Thousands of terrorist cells consisting of the most loyal are placed throughout the world, and they believe Iran will be a key player in creating the circumstances for the coming.

The Islamic regime fully expects to be attacked, the source says. Its leaders believe this will happen as foretold in centuries-old hadiths and written in the book ‘The Last Six Months.’ Response contingencies call for simultaneous attacks on Israel, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States, and attacks not only on U.S. bases in the region but the U.S. homeland.

The Islamic regime has already mastered nuclear technology and currently has enough enriched uranium, verified by the IAEA, for six nuclear bombs. It also has ballistic missiles capable of reaching every country in the Middle East and many capitals in Europe but is also working, with the help of China and North Korea, on intercontinental ballistic missiles.

An internal IAEA document from 2009 shows that Khamenei, as early as 1984, was pushing for nuclear bombs, stating that, ‘This was the only way to secure the very essence of the Islamic Revolution from the schemes of its enemies, especially the United States and Israel, and to prepare it for the emergence of Imam Mahdi.’

Of utmost concern is that Iran likely has nuclear weapons already even as it works to create more. As reported in October, Iranian agents scoured the former Soviet republics after the fall of the Soviet Union in search of buying existing nuclear bombs, offering hundreds of millions of dollars. As verified with sources at the State Department, a former U.S. intelligence officer and a Russian general, the Iranians have at least two workable nuclear warheads.

The source in the Guards’ intelligence said he was informed in secret briefings while in the Guards that they had two nuclear bombs, though he could not attest if they were viable. But what he verified next was further terrifying: Iran has neutron bombs, thanks to its North Korea ally.

A neutron bomb is a tactical nuclear weapon invented during the Cold War to kill people with neutron radiation, while minimizing damage to buildings.

‘However, a neutron warhead is more accurately described as, and is officially called, an Enhanced Radiation Warhead because it produces large quantities of all kinds of radiation – including gamma rays – that generate the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) effect at high altitude,’ according to Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, which advises Congress.

‘So if a neutron bomb, or more properly ERW, is detonated at high altitude, above 30 kilometers, it becomes an enhanced EMP weapon, a strategic weapon that could generate a powerful EMP, destroying electronics and collapsing the critical infrastructures that support the lives of millions of people over vast geographic areas,’ Pry said.

As verified by the IAEA, the Guards have launched ballistic missiles from ships and detonated warheads over the earth’s surface. Those tests have only one purpose: create an EMP attack, whether by nuclear or neutron bomb. As revealed last year, the Guards have now armed their naval vessels with ballistic missiles and plan on deploying warships in the Atlantic Ocean.

Studies show that a successful EMP attack could destroy electric power, telecommunications, transportation, banking and finance, and food and water across the continental United States.

The Congressional EMP Commission estimated that, given current U.S. unpreparedness, one year after an EMP attack, about two-thirds of the U.S. population, 200 million people, would have perished from starvation, disease or societal collapse.

As the West continues to negotiate with the leaders of the Islamic regime in Iran, even accepting their nuclear program for ‘peaceful purposes,’ one thing is ominously lacking: an understanding of their ideology.” Source – WND.

Iran leader: We must prep for 'end of times'
'We shall make the Islamic civilization proud on the world stage'

Iran’s supreme leader, for the first time, is telling his nation that it must prepare for war and “the end of times” as it continues to develop nuclear weapons.

State-owned media outlets, in a coordinated effort, all ran a similar story Friday highlighting Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s message on the coming of the last Islamic messiah.

Until now, the Iranian media would mostly quote clerics from seminaries on the issue of the last Islamic messiah to avoid the regime being labeled messianic. However, the wide publication of Khamenei’s statements on a need to prepare for the end of times as it confronts the West over its illicit nuclear program is alarming to Western leaders.

“The issue of Imam Mahdi is of utmost importance, and his reappearance has been clearly stated in our holy religion of Islam,” Khamenei said. We must study and remind ourselves of the end of times and Imam Mahdi’s era. … We must prepare the environment for the coming so that the great leader will come.”

Shiite theology holds that great wars must engulf the Earth, during which one-third of the world’s population will die in the fighting and another third from hunger, lawlessness and havoc. Israel is to be destroyed, and only then will the 12th imam, Mahdi, reappear and kill all the infidels, raising the flag of Islam in all corners of the world.

Under the guidance of Khamenei, several centers have been established in Iran on research and information on the coming of Mahdi, and a conference is held annually on Mahdiism.

“Today we have a duty to prepare for the coming. … If we are the soldiers of the 12th imam, then we must be ready to fight,” Khamenei said.

“With the guidance of Allah and His invisible help, we shall make the Islamic civilization proud on the world stage. … This is our destiny. … The youth, the faithful must prepare themselves for this great move.”

Referring to the Quran, Khamenei said the coming has been promised by Allah. “There will come a time when all the oppressive powers of the world will be destroyed and humanity will be enlightened in the era of Imam Mahdi.”

As reported recently, the regime has distributed the booklet “The Last Six Months” among its military forces in preparation for the coming and its confrontation with the West. The material admonishes the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij paramilitary forces that they must be prepared to do their duties during the expected war.

The Revolutionary Guards’ media outlet, Mashregh, on Sunday warned Israel and America that they will have to guess as to what type of warhead the Iranian missiles will be carrying when targeting them.

In its lengthy piece, Mashregh discussed Iranian missile capability and the devastation it can wreak on potential enemies. Referring to U.S. military bases in the region, it said that in recent war games, ballistic missiles with cluster warheads destroyed targets similar to air bases and fighter craft hiding under hangers.

The piece boasts that the two-stage solid-fuel Sejil missile can pierce through Israel’s missile defense system and has had “the Zionists losing sleep.”

After a decade of negotiation with Iran, the West has yet to make any inroads in stopping the regime’s illicit nuclear program.

The latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency indicated Iran continues to enrich uranium at both the Natanz and Fordow facilities and now has enough nuclear material for at least five nuclear weapons. The regime has denied an IAEA request for inspection of a military facility where it is believed Iran conducted secret experiments of an implosion-type nuclear weapon.

While a majority of Iranians oppose the mullahs’ brutal regime, Western sanctions have not curtailed its pursuit of nuclear weapons, which not only could lead to the collapse of the global economy but the killing of tens of millions of innocent civilians, including those in Iran.

On a side note - it's no different from the West in terms of preparing the masses for the "coming messiah"...albeit the West does it different with multi media entertainment(ie-movies, music, tv shows, etc), the public education system, and now slowly but surely the modern-day "church".

But yeah, Iran is doing it much more directly in terms of getting their masses to accept the so-called 12th Iman.

Iran preparing Mahdi's Special Forces
Army of operatives planning for terror, destruction of the West

The Quds Forces, a special Iranian unit of thousands of operatives tasked with exporting Iran’s Islamic revolution, are being told to step up preparations for terrorism for the coming of the last Islamic messiah and the destruction of the West.

Ali Saeedi, the Iranian supreme leader’s representative to the Revolutionary Guards, emphasized during a Friday sermon in Tehran that the Islamic republic must directly confront America so that the necessary environment is created for the reappearance of Mahdi, the Shiite’s 12th imam, who will kill all infidels and raise the flag of Islam in all corners of the world.

“In three points of history, God directly confronts the will of unruly humans in which, of course, the Right will overcome the False,” Saeedi said, according to the Sepah News, the Guards’ official publication. “The first point in history was during the era of pharaoh, the second era was Bani Abbas, and the third is our current era in which it seems that God has willed us to enlighten the world with the coming of Imam Mahdi.”

Saeedi, “Many of the signs [necessary] for the coming have taken place during the previous years; however, the main sign will take place right before the coming.”

There are five levels of readiness that have to be prepared for the coming, he said: “Individual readiness, the readiness for creating the environment, systematic readiness, the readiness in the region and the international readiness. This means Occupy Wall Street must take place, the Americans must lose hope with the Democratic Party and others, and lose faith in the U.N., while at the same time the unraveling in the Middle East, which was not ripe before, must have taken place before the coming.”

This is the first time a high-ranking Iranian official has stated on the record that the Quds Forces are not only involved in the region, but also internationally for a final confrontation with the West.

“The Revolutionary Guards are one vehicle for preparation for the coming, and in the current Islamic Awakening [the Arab Spring] in the region and on international arena, the Quds Forces play a major role in preparing the readiness of the human force needed for such an event,” Saeedi said. “The chief commander of the Guards and the supreme leader’s representative are tasked for preparing the individual readiness, regional readiness as well as international readiness for the coming.”

In another Guards’ weekly publication, Sobhe Sadegh, a front-page analysis explains that the opening of Iran’s geopolitics and the empowerment of its Islamic power are a reality in which Iran’s influence has expanded not only in the region, but also in Africa, Latin America, Eastern Asia and even in Europe and America.

As was the fall of socialism and the Eastern bloc, the analysis promises, so will be the fall of the capitalism and liberal democracy.

The analysis refers to the statements of the founder of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini:

“I say with all certainty that the 21st century will be the century of Islam.”
“I say with all certainty that Islam will conquer all key entrenchments of the world.”
“I say with all certainty that Islam will defeat all world powers.”
“I say with all certainty that the 21st century is the century where the oppressed will be victorious over the oppressors.”

While the Quds Forces have recently expanded their operations in shipment of explosives to Latin America, Africa and other places in the world, and at the same time have put terror cells on high alert for terrorist acts, the Islamic regime in Iran has expanded its nuclear program in which over 11,000 centrifuges are now running at two facilities, increasing its enriched uranium stock.

As of the last report in May by the IAEA, Iran had enough enriched uranium for six nuclear bombs, and despite all negotiations and recent sanctions, the Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, announced days ago that there will be no turning back from the nuclear path.

Two-thirds of a billion Muslims expect the Mahdi – the last Islamic imam they believe will come and rule the world – to arrive in their lifetimes, according to a new Pew Research poll.

The results affirm the warnings from author Joel Richardson, whose just-released book “Mideast Beast” it moving up Amazon listings.

It’s a sequel to his New York Times bestselling 2009 “The Islamic Antichrist,” and it recently surged past Joel Rosenberg’s “Implosion: Can America Recover from its Economic and Spiritual Challenges in Time?” and “The End: A Complete Overview of Bible Prophecy and the End of Days” by Mark Hitchc0ck to claim the top spot in the Eschatology category on Amazon.

In a column written in WND, Richardson notes that he has been criticized repeatedly for believing many Muslims have a faith in the coming Mahdi, especially that there are a significant number who believe that will happen soon.

The survey by Pew Research notes that in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia, “half or more Muslims believe they will live to see the return of the Mahdi. This expectation is most widespread in Afghanistan (83 percent), Iraq (72 percent), Tunisia (67 percent) and Malaysia (62 percent).

The survey said that belief drops to about four-in-10 across Central Asia, except for Turkey, where 68 percent expect to witness his return. It drops slightly further across southern and eastern Europe.

“In some countries with sizable Sunni and Shi’a populations, views on the Mahdi’s return differ by sect. In Iraq, for example, Shi’as are more likely than Sunnis to expect the Mahdi to return in their lifetime, by an 88 percent to 55 percent margin. In Azerbaijan, the difference between the two groups is also large (25 percentage points),” the report said. “Differences between Shi’as and Sunnis on this issue may reflect the more central role that the Mahdi’s return plays in Shi’a Islam.”

The result? An estimated 672 million Muslims expect to witness the Mahdi’s return.

On his portrayal that such a belief is widespread, Richardson said, “I have certainly had my share of critics, not only from the pollyannas on the left, but also from within the Christian church.”

He said, for example, prophecy teacher and evangelist David Reagan has been vocal, saying, “Richardson’s presentation of what Muslims believe about the end times is very misleading, for what he presents is the Shi’ite version which revolves around the concept of an Islamic Messiah called the Mahdi. He leaves the impression that all the Islamic world is living in breathless anticipation of the appearance of the Mahdi, when the reality is that 90 percent of all Muslims – the Sunnis – are not looking for a Mahdi.”

Richardson said until now it’s been hard to refute any statements regarding the percentage of Muslims who await the Mahdi.

“Now, for the first time, a comprehensive study including tens of thousands of Muslims, in over 23 countries, were asked if they believed that the Mahdi’s emergence was imminent, that it would occur within their lifetimes. And the results conclusively prove that which I have been warning about all along,” he wrote.

The Pew findings:

Richardson explains that the false claim that only 10 percent of Muslims await the Mahdi may now be “put to bed.”

“The bottom line is that it is far worse, far more widespread than even I would have guessed,” he wrote.

And in Turkey, from which he believes the Antichrist will come, “68 percent of Turks, a large majority, are expecting the imminent appearance of the Mahdi.”

“Certainly the popularity of Mahdism within Turkey, when combined with the concurrent radical rise in (1) Turkish nationalism and Neo-Ottoman aspirations, and (2) anti-Semitism within Turkey, in so many ways, sets the stage for this nation to move toward fulfilling many of the last days prophecies of the Bible,” he wrote.

“Another important factor that I have been trying to make for years, is that although conventional wisdom has placed all emphasis on Iran as the nation that would produce a false Mahdi claimant (I say claimant, as there actually is no such thing as the Mahdi), the real danger has always lay with the Sunni world.

“The primary reason for this is because while the leaders of Iran regularly make a lot of noise concerning the the Mahdi – often referred to by them as the 12th Imam – there are some very strong reasons that it is highly unlikely that Iran will ever see a genuine Mahdi claimant figure arise. What outsiders must understand is that Iranian Muslim scholars have developed a very thorough systematic theology to essentially guard against any false Mahdi claimant from emerging. … I do not believe that Iran will ever produce Mahdi claimant who will ever be received widely by the leaders or the people of that nation.”

“In my book ‘Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth about the Real Nature of the Beast,’ I walk the alert reader through the frightening world of Islamic apocalyptic views, comparing them with the biblical prophecies concerning the coming of the Antichrist, showing beyond any doubt that in the Islamic doctrine of the Mahdi, the world should in fact be very concerned. In my new book, ‘Mideast Beast,’ I demonstrate beyond any doubt, the scriptural case for an Islamic Antichrist. As always, it is time for the Christian world to wake up and fall to their knees in prayer. The hour is far later than most think.”

It was in “The Islamic Antichrist,” Richardson’ stunning research and analysis suggested that the biblical Antichrist and Islam’s primary messiah figure (the Mahdi) could be the same person. Now, taking a hard look at the most significant biblical end-time texts, “Mideast Beast” argues persuasively that the Antichrist, his empire and his religion will come from the Middle East and not Europe as has been widely taught by many modern prophecy teachers.

The Pew project reviewed what Muslims believe about angels, predestination or fate, the afterlife, heaven and hell (99 percent in Thailand believe in eternal punishment), the Mahdi’s imminent return and the return of Jesus, who many Muslims believe will deny Christianity and pledge allegiance to Allah.

Ahmadinejad Gives 'End Times' Address To U.N.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today called for the end of the “hegemonic” powers of the United States and Israel, whom he described as “the uncivilized Zionists.” He said the world would “soon” see new “global management” by the Twelfth Imam, also known as the “Mahdi,” and his deputy, Jesus Christ. This was Ahmadinejad’s eighth and likely final annual address to the opening fall session of the United Nations General Assembly. He is expected to finish his second term in office in June 2013. In each of his past U.N. speeches, he prayed for the soon coming of the so-called Islamic messiah. This time he went much further, offering his most detailed explanation to date of his Shi’a Islamic eschatology and his understanding of the coming rule of the Twelfth Imam.

Ahmadinejad Tells UN To Prepare For Arrival Of Islamic Messiah

With the U.S. and Israeli delegations absent in boycott, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the General Assembly on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur in a rambling, apocalyptic speech in which he declared his confidence that the table already is being set for a “new world order.” What Ahmadinejad means by “new world order,” however, has nothing to do with the globalist economic and political integration envisioned by President George H. W. Bush. Known internationally as “Twelvers,” radical Shiite Muslims like Ahmadinejad believe the new order will come with the return of their messiah, the Mahdi – the child imam who supposedly went into seclusion at the bottom of a well more than 1,000 years ago.

Ancient Texts Foresaw How Iran Would Initiate Armageddon

The Book of Enoch appears to be the oldest book ever written. According to the second of seven scrolls that comprise the ancient writing, Enoch was told that Persia [Iran] would lead the world in its final attempt to destroy the Jews: “And in those days the angels will assemble, and turn their heads toward the east, towards the people of Parthia and Media [Persia/Iran], in order to excite the kings, and that a spirit of disturbance come over them, and disturb them from off their thrones, that they come forth from their resting places like lions, and like hungry wolves amidst their flocks. And they will ascend and step upon the land of their chosen, and the land of his chosen will be before them a threshing-floor and a path. But the city of my just will be a hindrance to their horses, and they will take up a...

Oh really? That would be amazing seeing it wasn't written till about 300bc at the earliest, and more likely later first century at least, the time the RCC got started up.

Myths of a Muslim Antichrist
by Jeremy Stevens

Ever since the followers of Mohammad stormed across the Middle East in the 6th century, Christians have feared this aggressive religion. Aside from the three hundred year struggle of the Crusades, Christians and Muslims have clashed time and again. Wherever Islam grows, the established Christian society finds itslef besieged by the resilience of Islamic culture, and occasionally by the power of Muslim armies.

Lebanon, Nigeria, Egypt, Syria – all of these countries have seen their Christian minorities oppressed as Islamic birthrates continue to dominate their Christian adversaries. In the 21st century, Americans are rightfully afraid of the terror wrought by radical Islamist groups. From the recent killing of our ambassador in Libya to the terror of 9/11, Americans are on the front line of the War on Terror.

With Muslim birthrates soaring across predominantly Christian strongholds from Europe to Sub-Saharan Africa some sociological experts have Islam replacing Christianity as the world’s largest religion soon—real soon. There are simply not enough Dugger families in the Christian world to keep up with the Duggers of “Islamistan”.

What does scripture say about Islam’s future? Should Christians be so fearful of the world’s second largest religion? Additionally, there has been a growing movement in evangelical circles to pin the ethnic/religious background of the future antichrist as a Muslim.

Arguments for a Muslim Antichrist

No, the antichrist was not Hitler. Neither was the antichrist George Bush or Barack Obama. It’s not even Lady Gaga. Some in the evangelical world believe the antichrist will come from the Muslim world, not the Western world.

In his book The Power to Make War, the late great evangelist Zane Hodges believed the antichrist would be a Muslim due to the reference of “the Assyrian” found in Isaiah. Because that particular reference was discussing the antichrist, the Bible must be indicating that the antichrist will be an Assyrian. Since the Assyrian empire was founded in the Middle East, the Assyrian antichrist must also be a Muslim.

Philip Goodman, in his work The Assyrian Connection, also points to the reference of “the Assyrian” in Micah 5:5 as evidence for an Assyrian antichrist. Goodman speculates that there will be a revived Assyrian Empire founded in the Middle East.1 This Assyrian Empire will spawn the antichrist and will invade the globe from the Middle East.

Joel Richardson, author of Antichrist: Islam’s Awaited Messiah, believes the fourth world empire of Daniel’s dreams was not Rome and its descendants, but rather, the Ottoman Empire.2 This revived Ottoman Empire will create a caliphate across the Middle East, and will lead a host of nations against Israel.

Richardson also cites the similarities between the Shiite last Imam in Islamic eschatology with the antichrist of Scripture -- beheadings, conquest, and an intense dislike for Christians and Jews.

Do these authors have valid arguments for an Islamic antichrist? Given the recent surge in Muslim population across the globe it may appear so. Despite their claims, there are many issues with this theory. I have limited these problems to six major flaws below.

Why the Antichrist will NOT be a Muslim

1. “The Assyrian” reference in scripture does not necessarily refer to the antichrist

Dr. David Reagan, of Lion/Lamb ministries explains in his article, "The Antichrist: Will he be a Muslim?" that the reference found in Micah 5:5 to the “Assyrian” is located squarely in a Millennium passage of Micah. During the Millennium, Dr. Reagan asserts that God will protect Israel from all their enemies (Assyria was the enemy of Israel at the time Micah was written).3

Similarly, references in Isaiah to “the Assyrian” are attributed more to the character of the antichrist rather than the ethnicity. Similar types of antichrists are found throughout scripture. Sennacherib the Assyrian king who besieged Jerusalem was certainly a type. As was the Egyptian pharaoh of the Exodus. The most famous antichrist type was Antiochus Epiphanes, highlighted in Daniel 8 and again in Daniel 11.

“The Assyrian” must be a reference to his character as an enemy of God’s people and a terrible person overall.

2. Assyrians are predominantly Christian anyway

Even if the “antichrist-will-be-Assyrian” crowd is right, Assyrians today are predominantly Christian and not Muslim. Yes, most of them reside in present day Iraq, Syria, and Turkey (all overwhelmingly Muslim nations) but Assyrians themselves are over 90% Christian today. This counters the claim that an Assyrian antichrist would have to be Muslim.

3. Daniel predicted a Roman antichrist not a Middle Eastern one

In the famous “seventy weeks” passage of Daniel 9 the Old Testament prophet predicts the coming Tribulation as well as the ethnicity of the antichrist. Daniel 9:26b states, “…and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary…”

Daniel prophesies that this same “prince” in verse 26 will make a treaty with Israel in verse 27. He will then break that treaty and set up the abomination that causes desolation during the middle of the Tribulation. The “people” of this prince (the antichrist) were predicted to destroy the city (Jerusalem) and the sanctuary.

In 70 AD, almost five hundred years after Daniel’s prediction, the Roman Empire annihilated the Jewish people. A culmination of three Jewish uprisings, this last assault on Jerusalem would kill over a million Jews and send millions more into slavery across the Roman world.

Jerusalem has only been destroyed one time after Daniel’s prophecy and it occurred almost 2,000 years ago at the hands of the Romans. Therefore we can conclude that the antichrist, the prince of the Romans, will be a man of Roman descent -- not Assyrian.

4. The Fourth Beast of Daniel’s dream is Roman/Western, not Islamic/Middle Eastern

Daniel’s four world Gentile empires found in chapters 2 and 7 of his book describe four world empires in chronological order. Please look up these passages as you are reading this article.

a. Babylon (lion, head of gold)

b. Persia (bear, silver arms)

c. Greco-Macedonian (leopard, (bronze torso/legs)

d. Roman (iron beast of Rome, two legs (Eastern and Western Rome, and the future ten-toes/feet of antichrist’s rule)

It is plain to see in Daniel’s visions that neither Islam nor the Ottoman Empire were represented. Chronologically, there are no gaps in Daniel’s dreams other than the one separating the iron beast of Rome with its ten-toed counterpart during the Tribulation.

Babylon was quickly replaced by Persia in 538 BC, while Persia was swiftly routed by Alexander in 332 BC. After Alexander died, his generals divided the empires amongst themselves, only to eventually succumb to the power of Rome in the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC. Rome dominated the world for another seven hundred years until its eventual collapse in 476 AD. The East wouldn’t collapse until 1453 AD.

Islam is also a relatively modern phenomenon, arriving in the 6th century AD. Islamic warriors never conquered the globe, nor are they expected to do so. The Islamic world of today is a conglomerate of different cultures, governments, and peoples, not a united Gentile world empire like Babylon, Persia, Greece, or Rome.

The Ottoman Empire is even younger. The Ottoman Turks made their debut in the Middle Ages against the Christian Crusaders, but wouldn’t grow to their full height until the 16th and 17th centuries AD.

The Ottoman Empire was impressive during its time, but fell apart after WWI. Scripturally and geopolitically, Turkey is not predicted to conquer the earth any time soon. Yes, Turkey is making a comeback today. Turkey may be involved in the Gog/Magog fiasco of Ezekiel 38 and 39, but Turkey will not spawn the antichrist or conquer the entire earth.

Those who claim the two legs of Daniel’s dream represent the two legs of the Ottoman Empire (Shiite and Sunni) have forgotten to account for nearly 1,000 years of Roman domination, the basic chronological outline of Daniel, as well as the nature of Islamic society and culture itself. Ah yes, one more thing – the Ottoman Empire was predominantly Sunni and not Shiite. The vast majority of Muslims practice Sunni and not Shiite Islam. Unless Daniel’s end-times beast was hobbling around on one leg, his visions cannot represent Sunni and Shiite Islam. The end-times world government will be a Roman/Western government, not an Eastern/Islamic one.

5. Lots of people enjoy be-headings (not just radical Islamists)

British and French people beheaded their monarchs. Japanese Samurai preferred beheadings as an honorable death. Mexican drug cartels are also known for the gruesome practice. Yes, there is a similarity between the end-times Shiite eschatology and that of Scripture – both the Imam and the antichrist love lopping off heads. Then again, so do a lot of different peoples and cultures today.

6. Imagine a Muslim antichrist blaspheming Allah… and living to tell about it

The Bible doesn’t hold back when describing the personality of the antichrist. He will be the worst human being in world history. Think about that for a moment. Perhaps the most telling indication that the antichrist will not hail from a Muslim land is found in Daniel 11:37,

“He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the desire of women, nor will he show regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all.”

Could you imagine the response of a devoutly Islamic nation like Egypt or Iran after their leader says, “I am god, there is no other god but… me! You will now bow down and worship… me!” This declaration would be both a direct blasphemy against Allah and a death sentence. Even in secular Turkey a man who claimed to be god would find himself thrown in prison at best.

No, the antichrist will not come from a Muslim land. The biblical, cultural, and historical evidence is too strong against the prospect.

More likely, the antichrist will come from the heir of the Roman Empire – the Western world. Rather than declared a heretic and beheaded, the antichrist’s blasphemous opinions will be welcomed with open arms in post-Christian Europe as trendy and edgy. If you’re planning to take that once-in-a-lifetime getaway trip to Europe with your spouse, do it sooner than later.

Nuclear Iran Seeks Apocalyptic Holy Man

President Barack Obama knows who the enemy is. September 11, 2012 was clear evidence that the killing of Osama Bin Laden was not a fait accompli when it comes to ending the terrorist threat. Obama is reluctant to openly admit that radical Islam’s open declaration of war presents a danger to America. The state of Israel shows no such hesitancy. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently stood before the United Nations and warned of a medieval war of civilizations that is set to erupt global security. A nuclear armed Iran is far different, Netanyahu pointed out, than a nuclear armed Russia. Netanyahu emphasized the distinction between the two ideologies of Iran and Soviet Russia:

“Militant Jihadists behave very differently from Secular Marxists. There were no Soviet suicide bombers. Yet, Iran produces hordes of them. Deterrence worked with the Soviets because every time Soviets chose between their ideology and survival, they chose survival. But, deterrence may not work with Iranians when they get their nuclear weapons.”

Netanyahu went on to explain that the difference between the two aggressors is the value placed on life. Iran anticipates its own destruction as a price to pay for bombing the globe into chaos:

“A great scholar of the Middle East, Bernard Lewis, put it best: ‘For the Ayatollahs of Iran, mutual assured destruction is not a deterrent, it’s an inducement. Iran’s apocalyptic leaders believe that a medieval Holy Man will reappear in the wake of a devastating holy war, thereby insuring that their brand of radical Islam will rule the earth.’ Now, that’s not just what they believe, that is what is guiding their policies and their actions.”

Americans and nations worldwide must recognize the seriousness and inflexibility of Iran’s goal towards mutual destruction and the Obama administration’s role to date in the rapidly developing global crisis. Inexplicably to many, Barack Obama unleashed uprisings in the Middle East while implementing a radical Socialist agenda to “transform America” back home.

The overall intent is not as bifurcated as it may appear. The radical Islamists are waging a war of religion while the radical left is waging a war of ideas. The mutual goal is the toppling of a republic based, Judeo-Christian founded and Constitutionally-grounded America. Jihadists want America to become an Islamic state like Iran, whereas the left wants a “transformation of America” to a Socialist nation. Both systems devour individual rights and freedoms. Key to both movements is total elimination of all belief systems counter to their own. Were they to succeed, as natural enemies, Islamists and Socialists will eventually target one another. Radical Islam condemns to death all that reject a belief in Allah. Socialists constitute much of America’s Progressive-Left and have consistently legislated God out of American society, seeking to become god to the masses.

President Obama is the titular head of the Progressive-Left. President Obama understands Islam having studied the Koran in Indonesia. Part of the curriculum was that The Twelfth Imam or Twelfth Mahdi is the Islamic savior — its Islamic messiah. Islam requires that in order for the Twelfth Imam to reveal himself, the world must be in global war. Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reportedly believes that he has the divine mission to “hasten the return” of the 12th Mahdi. Destroying Israel, then America, erupts the world into the chaos needed for the Mahdi’s return.

Some 600 years before Islam, Christ appeared during His first coming as God-incarnate. The Christian Messiah is the Savior Jesus Christ. Islam reveres Jesus as a lesser prophet and not God, which puts Islam at inextricable odds with Christianity. Iranian President Ahmadinejad believes the “Mahdi” or “Twelfth Imam” will appear publicly during a time of great disaster, with Jesus at his side, to bring peace to a war-torn world. It is said that the 12th Mahdi will take Jesus to Mecca to replace the Bible with the Koran so that Christians worldwide will convert to Islam. A “Muslim anti-Christ” is also to surface in the world and falsely convince Jews that he is their “Jesus the Messiah” that they have long awaited.

An “Islamic Jesus,” it is said, will kill all Jews and behead anyone worldwide who does not accept Islam as the only true religion. The Islamic Mahdi will set-up his kingdom in Jerusalem, establish a worldwide Caliphate, along with Shariah Law, and rule the world. Homosexuals will be killed and women will remain as property and oppressed. Such belief is a driving force of today’s war on non-Islamic nations; an ancient war based on fundamental Islam that has entrenched the globe in a war on terror. Those who identify themselves as moderate Muslims declare that only extremists hold such beliefs.

The funding by Iran of the upheaval in the Middle East, the positioning of radical Muslim groups in governments across the region from Lebanon to Egypt cannot simply be dismissed as a war of ideologies between the West and the Muslim world. By Ahmadinejad’s admission, Iran’s role in the turmoil in the Middle East is to set the stage for the return of the Twelfth Imam. Obama’s years studying Islam should have taught him that he cannot schmooze leaders like Ahmadinejad, gain their favor, and unmoor them from what they believe is the only reason they exist on the planet. Islamic radicals seek world chaos targeting first Israel and then the United States. For Barack Obama to in anyway diminish the radical Islamist threat prioritizes his personally held biases that jeopardize America’s safety.

Netanyahu has recognized the danger and has openly warned of it for more than 15 years:

“Shockingly, some people have begun to peddle the absurd notion that a nuclear armed Iran would actually stabilize the Middle East. Yeah, right. That’s like saying a nuclear armed Al-Qaeda would usher in an era of universal peace. I speak about it now because the Iranian nuclear calendar does not wait for anyone or anything. I speak about it now because the hour is getting late, very late. I speak about it now because when it comes to the survival of my country, it is not only my right to speak, but my duty to speak. And, I believe that this is the duty of every responsible [world] leader who wants to preserve peace.”

Netanyahu warned that it is not just Israel and the United States, but the world at large that is being targeted:

“Militant Islam has many branches – from the rulers of Iran with their Revolutionary Guards to Al Qaeda terrorists to the radical cells lurking in every part of the globe. But, despite their differences, they are all rooted in the same bitter soil of intolerance. That intolerance is directed first at their fellow Muslims, and then to Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, secular people, anyone who doesn’t submit to their unforgiving creed.”

Muslim views of the Apocalypse

Muslim and Christian views of the Apocalypse bear remarkable similarities, albeit with a different ending.

As in the Bible’s Book of Revelation, Islamic tradition speaks of signs — unnatural disasters, wars and moral decay — that will portend the Last Days. And like Christians, many Muslims believe that Jesus, whom they call Isa, will return to defeat the Antichrist.

Contemporary Muslim apocalyptists have even borrowed from their Christian counterparts, such as Hal Lindsay, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, to discern the dates of the Antichrist’s arrival, said David Cook, an expert on Islamic eschatology and associate professor at Rice University.

“There are Muslim apocalyptic readings of the book of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation,” says Cook. “The only difference is the `good guys’ are Muslims, not Christians.”

The Muslim Jesus destroys the cross and the swine, symbols of Christian innovations, and converts Christians to Islam, said Abdulaziz Sachedina, a professor of Islamic studies at the University of Virginia. Whether he does so violently or not is a matter of debate.

In Islamic tradition, Jesus is joined by a figure named the Mahdi, who helps subdue Satan and rid the world of corruption and injustice.

Some Muslims don’t like the idea of Jesus playing the messianic hero, and have thus assigned a larger role to the Mahdi, said Cook. That belief is strong among Shiites, particularly the “Twelvers” in Iran, where President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has often spoke of the Mahdi’s return.

Twelvers believe that the Mahdi is the 12th imam — hence their name — a descendant of Prophet Muhammad who has been hidden since the 9th century.

In addition to Iran, faith in the Mahdi’s imminent arrival is widespread in Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey and Tunisia, according to a 2012 Pew Research center poll.

This is something that i have never heard before, that the Mahdi will find the Ark of the Covenant and use it to get the Jews support in the End Times.

Quote
In chapter 2 (Sura 2) of the Islamic Quran (Verse 248), the Children of Israel, at the time of Samuel and Saul, were given back the Tabut E Sakina (the casket of Shekhinah) which contained remnants of the household of Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron) carried by angels which confirmed peace and reassurance for them from their Lord. The Qur'an states:
And (further) their Prophet said to them: "A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the Covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security (Sakina) from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith.[19]

The Islamic scholar Al Baidawi mentioned that the sakina could be Tawrat, the Books of Moses.[20] According to Al-Jalalan, the relics in the Ark were the fragments of the two tablets, rods, robes, shoes, mitres of Moses and the vase of manna.[20] Al-Tha'alibi, in Qisas Al-Anbiya (The Stories of the Prophets), has given an earlier and later history of the Ark.

According to most Muslim scholars, the Ark of the Covenant has a religious basis in Islam, and Islam gives it special significance. A Shia sect of Muslims believe that it will be found by Mahdi near the end of times from Lake Tiberias.[21]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ark_of_the_Covenant

Now this is what is kind of really weird,  Lake Tiberias is the Sea of Galilee, and look what has just been found...

Quote
Mysterious Stone Structure Discovered Beneath Sea of Galilee

A giant "monumental" stone structure discovered beneath the waters of the Sea of Galilee in Israel has archaeologists puzzled as to its purpose and even how long ago it was built.

The mysterious structure is cone shaped, made of "unhewn basalt cobbles and boulders," and weighs an estimated 60,000 tons the researchers said. That makes it heavier than most modern-day warships.

Rising nearly 32 feet (10 meters) high, it has a diameter of about 230 feet (70 meters). To put that in perspective, the outer stone circle of Stonehenge has a diameter just half that with its tallest stones not reaching that height. [See Photos of the Mysterious Sea of Galilee Structure]

It appears to be a giant cairn, rocks piled on top of each other. Structures like this are known from elsewhere in the world and are sometimes used to mark burials. Researchers do not know if the newly discovered structure was used for this purpose.

The structure was first detected in the summer of 2003 during a sonar survey of the southwest portion of the sea. Divers have since been down to investigate, they write in the latest issue of the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology.

"Close inspection by scuba diving revealed that the structure is made of basalt boulders up to 1 m (3.2 feet) long with no apparent construction pattern," the researchers write in their journal article. "The boulders have natural faces with no signs of cutting or chiselling. Similarly, we did not find any sign of arrangement or walls that delineate this structure."

[The 10 Best Space Apps in the Universe]

They say it is definitely human-made and probably was built on land, only later to be covered by the Sea of Galilee as the water level rose. "The shape and composition of the submerged structure does not resemble any natural feature. We therefore conclude that it is man-made and might be termed a cairn," the researchers write.

More than 4,000 years old?

Underwater archaeological excavation is needed so scientists can find associated artifacts and determine the structure's date and purpose, the researchers said.

Researcher Yitzhak Paz, of the Israel Antiquities Authority and Ben-Gurion University, believes it could date back more than 4,000 years. "The more logical possibility is that it belongs to the third millennium B.C., because there are other megalithic phenomena [from that time] that are found close by," Paz told LiveScience in an interview, noting that those sites are associated with fortified settlements.

The researchers list several examples of megalithic structures found close to the Sea of Galilee that are more than 4,000 years-old. One example is the monumental site of Khirbet Beteiha, located some 19 miles (30 kilometers) north-east of the submerged stone structure, the researchers write. It "comprises three concentric stone circles, the largest of which is 56 m [184 feet] in diameter." [Gallery: Aerial Photos Reveal Mysterious Stone Structures]

An ancient city

If the third-millennium B.C. date idea proves correct it would put the structure about a mile to the north of a city that researchers call "Bet Yerah" or "Khirbet Kerak."

During the third millennium B.C. the city was one of the biggest sites in the region, Paz said. "It's the most powerful and fortified town in this region and, as a matter of fact, in the whole of Israel."

Archaeologist Raphael Greenberg describes it in a chapter of the book "Daily Life, Materiality, and Complexity in Early Urban Communities of the Southern Levant" (Eisenbrauns, 2011) as being a heavily fortified 74-acre (30 hectares) site with up to 5,000 inhabitants.

With paved streets and towering defenses its people were clearly well organized. "They also indicate the existence of some kind of municipal authority able to maintain public structures ..." Greenberg writes.

The research team says that, like the leaders of Bet Yerah, whoever built the newly discovered Sea of Galilee structure needed sophisticated organization and planning skills to construct it. The "effort invested in such an enterprise is indicative of a complex, well-organized society, with planning skills and economic ability," they write in their journal paper.

Paz added that "in order to build such a structure a lot of working hours were required" in an organized community effort.

Future exploration

Paz said that he hopes soon that an underwater archaeological expedition will set out to excavate the structure. They can search for artifacts and try to determine its date with certainty.

He said that the Israel Antiquities Authority has a research branch capable of excavating it. "We will try to do it in the near future, I hope, but it depends on a lot of factors."

I dont think its true but it is interesting...

Arabs Meet To Establish Caliphate For Coming Of Mahdi (Muslim Messiah)

Thousands of PA Arabs participated in a mass rally in Ramallah earlier this week calling for the establishment of the Muslim Caliphate – the worldwide Islamist government that will “bring the coming of the Mahdi.” the Muslim messiah. The Caliphate is essentially a union of Muslim countries under the spiritual and political leadership of a single individual, the Caliph. It has been an Islamic concept since the days of Muhammad, when it was established by several of his disciples. The office of “official Caliph” has been disputed at times, with rival would-be Caliphs battling each other for the title. The last official Caliph was Abdülmecid II, who lost the office in the aftermath of the defeat of Ottoman Turkey in World War I. The best-known Caliph in the West was Suleiman the Great, an early Ottoman sultan who, in the 16th century, conquered most of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, even conquering parts of Europe, until he was stopped at “the Gates of Vienna.”

Analysis: Is Rouhani a Twelver”? Iran’s President-elect just thanked the Mahdi for his victory.

Despite the Western media’s insistence that Iran’s President-Elect, Hassan Rouhani, is a “moderate” and a “reformist,” the evidence is clear: Rouhani is actually a high-ranking Radical Shia cleric who fundamentally agrees with the terrorist and repressive policies of the Ayatollah Khamenei and has been faithful in supporting such policies. Rouhani’s son reportedly even committed suicide because of the shame he felt that Rouhani was so supportive of Khamenei’s evil ways.

The central question I have been curious about since the rigged election is whether Rouhani shares the Supreme Leader’s eschatology. Namely, is Rouhani a “Twelver”? Does he believe as Khamenei does that the End of Days has come, and that the Twelfth Imam (or Mahdi) is going to appear at any moment to destroy the infidels and establish a global Islamic caliphate, and that Iran’s regime can and must hasten the arrival of their so-called messiah by annihilating America (which they consider the “Great Satan”) and Israel (which they consider the “Little Satan”)?

In 2008, for example, Rouhani was sharply critical of Ahmadinejad’s public statements regarding eschatology and the Mahdi. That led some analysts the conclusion that Rouhani did not share Ahmadinejad’s beliefs. But that wasn’t necessarily the case.

Consider an alternative scenario: Rouhani is a trained Shia cleric. As such, he most certainly believes in the Twelfth Imam. What’s more, he was approved to run for President by Khamenei and the regime, when 686 other candidates (including Rafsanjani) were prohibited from running. Thus, Rouhani surely shares the same essential theology and eschatology of the Supreme Leader. If this is true, then Rouhani’s problem with Ahmadinejad was likely not that Ahmadinejad believed in the Mahdi but that Ahmadinejad was not a trained cleric, and he was making all kinds of wild claims about the imminence of the Mahdi’s appearance, and he seemed to be bringing discredit to a subject the Supreme Leader and Rouhani consider dear.

True, I have not yet found much that Rouhani has written or said about his beliefs regarding the Mahdi or Shia “Twelver” eschatology. So I cannot yet say definitively what he believes or how eschatology shapes his world view.

That said, there is a major news report in Iran in recent days indicating that Rouhani (also spelled “Rohani” and “Rowhani”) is attributing his victory to the favor of the Mahdi.

“Iran’s newly elected president, Hassan Rohani, attributed his victory in the  June 15 voting to the 12th Imam, Mahdi, a statement with ominous overtones in  the Islamic regime’s quest for nuclear weapons,” reports former Iranian CIA operative Reza Khalili, based on public reporting in Tehran. “The Shiites believe that at the end of times, the 12th Imam, a 9th-century  prophet, will reappear with Jesus Christ at his side, kill all the infidels and  raise the flag of Islam in all four corners of the world. Many analysts believe  Iran is seeking nuclear capability to bring on that Armageddon.”

“This political [election] was due to the kindness of the last Islamic  messiah [Mahdi],” Rouhani said Friday.

“Kayhan newspaper, the main media outlet of the regime and the mouthpiece of  the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ran a centerpiece headline Saturday reporting Rohani’s statement: ‘This victory and the epic saga is without a doubt due to the special kindness  of the Imam Zaman (Mahdi) and the measures taken by the supreme leader,  especially his guidance and words. … Without his management then it was not  clear if the people of Iran would witness such a day filled with joy,’ Rohani  said. ‘I am so happy that there is a feeling of joy in our society and that the election took place in the month of Shaban [the 8th Islamic month, representative of courage and blessings], which is the month of victory.’”

Is it possible that the Supreme Leader insisted Rouhani put out such a statement, because Khamenei is such a devoted Twelver, even if Rouhani is not? Yes, that is possible.

It is also possible that Rouhani is as deeply committed a Twelver as the Ayatollah, but more careful in his words that Ahmadinejad.

Time will tell, but this a story worth watching closely.

Cardinal Dolan makes first visit to NYC mosque, meets with Staten Island Muslim leaders
http://www.silive.com/news/index.ssf/2013/06/cardinal_dolan_visits_first_mo.html#/5
6/20/13

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the archbishop of New York, made his first visit to a mosque in New York City and it was the Albanian Islamic Cultural Center in Tompkinsville where he met with Muslim and other faith leaders.

The cardinal spent more than two hours touring the mosque and the Miraj Islamic School and having lunch with about 40 clergy and laity.

"I thank God that this day has arrived," the cardinal said. "I thank you for your welcome, I thank you for making me feel like a friend and a member of a family."

The cardinal asked questions about the Muslim faith and emphasized throughout his visit how much the two religions and their members have in common.

"You love God, we love God and he is the same God," the cardinal said of the Muslim and Roman Catholic faiths.

Cardinal Dolan stressed that Catholics and Muslims have a mutual love of the United States and of the religious freedom that this country affords, especially the ability to meet with people of different beliefs that would not be possible in some other nations.

"Your love of marriage and family, your love of children and babies, your love of freedom -- religious freedom particularly-- your defense of life, your desire for harmony and unity and your care for others, your care for God's creation and your care for those who are in need," the cardinal said, were Islamic values also shared by Catholics and areas where there could be mutual cooperation.

He likened Muslims to earlier waves of Roman Catholic immigrants who some 150 years ago faced the same challenge of "how to become loyal, responsible, patriotic Americans without losing their faith."

As those Catholic immigrants did, Muslims have learned the value of religious schools, he said. "Education without faith is missing something dramatic," the cardinal said.

The cardinal's trip to the mosque was in response to an invitation by leaders of the center who visited the archbishop in Manhattan in January.

"Thank God that we are a country that welcomes everybody and, as you mentioned, your eminence, only in America, and we want this example to be spread because we can do many more things when we eat together as brothers than when we stay against one another," said Imam Tahir Kukiqi of the Albanian Center.

Imam Kukiqi praised attendee Sarah Sayeed of the Interfaith Center of New York for "working tirelessly with Muslim communities and Catholic communities, especially to bring them together."

Imam Ghulam Rasul of the predominately Pakistani Masjid al-Noor in Concord led a prayer "to bring peace, harmony and understanding between the communities ... guide us so that we may be the souls of goodness, peace and harmony and understanding for the people of this country and for the community of this Island."

The cardinal is following on a local level the example of Pope Francis who has begun efforts to deepen and strengthen the relationship between the Islamic and Christian communities in Italy and other parts of Europe, said Monsignor James Dorney, a co-vicar of Staten Island. His co-vicar, Monsignor Peter Finn, announced that Wednesday was the 37th anniversary of Cardinal Dolan's ordination.

The Rev. Liam O'Doherty, pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Tompkinsville, was instrumental in arranging the visit and brought along many members of his parish council. Leaders of the Albanian Center and Masjid al-Noor invited the cardinal to visit their mosques during the month of Ramadan.

Yeah, both cults are expert at invading and enforcing their wickedness at the point of a sword.

They might as well call their buddies over at the satanist community center and have a big party!  Roll Eyes

Spokesman Says Iran's President 'Will Return With Hidden Imam'

An Iranian government spokesman has said that outgoing President Mahmud Ahmadinejad will return with the Hidden Imam, who according to Shi'ite belief went into hiding in the 10th century and will reappear to bring justice to Earth.

"God willing, with the manifestation of Imam Mehdi, Ahmadinejad will also return and work for the establishment of pure Islam," spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by Iranian news agencies.

Ahmadinejad and his close aides have been criticized in Iran over their repeated references to Mahdi and signs of his imminent coming.

Ahmadinejad came under fire in March for saying that former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will be resurrected alongside Jesus and the Hidden Imam.

Floridians Outraged Over Islamic Bias And Indoctrination In School Textbooks

Read more: http://freedomoutpost.com/2013/07/floridians-outraged-over-islamic-bias-and-indoctrination-in-school-textbooks/#ixzz2aNCLT5bK

Does Prentice Hall ring a bell? Depending on when you went to school you may have had a few Prentice Hall textbooks. I know I did. One of their current textbooks, simply titled World History, is causing quite the stir in Florida. Florida Today reports:

Two Brevard School Board members are reviewing a world history textbook used in ninth grade Advance Placement classes amid concerns that it is biased in favor of Islam — at the expense of Christianity and Judaism.

House Representative Ritch Workman and individuals from two citizens groups spoke against the textbook, Prentice Hall World History, at the Brevard School Board meeting Tuesday, citing examples of phrases and passages they believe show bias.

“Our children deserve facts and accuracy, not history being revised for our own failure or desire to not offend one culture or another,” said Workman, a Republican from Melbourne.

The textbook, which has been used in Brevard for the past three years, devotes a chapter to Islam, with sections including the rise of Islam and the building of the Muslim empire. Conversely, Christianity and Judaism do not have their own chapters and instead are referenced in paragraphs embedded in other sections.

Workman also expressed concern about how historic events are portrayed and what phrases are used. For example, he said the textbook reads Jesus proclaims himself to be the Messiah but declares Muhammad becomes a prophet.

School board members Amy Kneessy and Andy Ziegler promised to review the textbook, which is published by Pearson, a well-known printer of educational textbooks.

“No matter what the subject is, whether it’s math, English, science or world history, students need to have accurate, unbiased information,” Kneessy said. “If textbooks are unbiased or incomplete, it’s our job to fix that.”

This story is much bigger than a Florida school system. We must consider how big Prentice Hall is and consider that there are likely tens of thousands of these textbooks in circulation. Prentice Hall is not foreign to controversy on this subject. According to Stop the Madrassa…

The Textbook League is another national center that evaluates textbooks for academic quality and political bias, which also found multiple editions of Houghton Mifflin’s Across the Centuries to be filled with Islamic preaching. They have also drawn attention to Prentice Hall’s textbook, World Cultures: A Global Mosaic as “a vehicle for Muslim propaganda”:

Long passages in World Cultures are devoted to promoting Islam, to making American students embrace Islamic religious beliefs, and to winning converts for Allah. In these passages, Muslim myths are disguised as historical information, Muslim superstitions are disguised as facts…

Palm Beach County has already forced the reprint of World History once for Muslim bias and inaccuracies. The question on my mind is whether or not this is the reprinted book or the old version. As reported in April:

Dr. William Saxton, Chairman of Citizens for National Security told The Report Card that as result of CFNS efforts – and for the first time as far as anyone related to these K-12 textbook issues knows – a major publisher, Pearson Prentice Hall, had to correct the content of an already printed flawed textbook that it intended to sell to a huge school district in Florida, and reprint it, before it could be purchased. Dr. Saxton earned his doctorate in Applied Physics from Harvard and spent much of his career in the United States Intelligence community. He founded CFNS as a result of concerns that Islamic terror organizations Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood were spreading misinformation and indoctrinating students in American schools.

The new 2013 high-school history book, “World History,” was slated for delivery to Palm Beach County (PBC) students for use at the beginning of the current school year. CFNS documented Islam bias and misinformation in a report co-authored by Dr. Saxton and Report Card Publisher William Korach. That 92-page report, published February 2012 documented Islam-biased errors and misinformation in 25 textbooks in Florida. CFNS participated in a marathon meeting with PBC curriculum specialists and a Pearson representative to delineate their concerns and recommend corrections. Following that, Dr. Saxton testified about the book’s bias before the PBC School Board. After further review, the Board concurred with the CFNS position, and determined that much of the textbook’s contentious language be revised, consistent with CFNS’s recommendations, as a condition for purchase.

You must consider how liberal leaning our school system has already become and then consider how bad a book must have to be for reprints to be demanded and questions to be raised.

What the hell is going on at Prentice Hall? Maybe there is a clue on their own website. Prentice Hall is owned by Pearson. Here is a quote that is the very first line on their about page:

Pearson is the world’s leading PreK-20 educational publishing company, dedicated to working with educators to change the way America thinks.

Ding. Ding. Ding. We have a winner.

Since when was it decided that Americans needed to change the way they think? That’s Progressive talk. And for those of you who don’t know… Progressive is a politically correct way of saying communist.

Don’t be fooled America.

This is real and it has been in play for a long time.

The Return Of The Kings Of The North And South
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships” (Daniel 11:40)

Several times over the last few years I've made mention of my belief that two powerful and opposing forces of Biblical times were in the process of re-emerging to become part of the increasingly complex situation in the Middle East. These two adversaries are called the King of the North and the King of the South in Daniel 11 and recent events show they've both taken a giant step toward fulfilling their  prophetic destiny.

My most recent study on this subject is not quite two years old and appears under the title “The Three Kings Of Daniel 11”.  It's named that way because in their end times appearance, the Kings of the North and South will not only oppose each other, they will both oppose the anti-Christ, who is called “the King who exalts himself” in Daniel 11:36.

Daniel 11:5-35 is a summary of the historical times of these two kings as they battled each other for control of what we now call the Middle East through several generations. They finally disappeared as the Romans were coming into prominence.  It's amazing to consider that Daniel wrote about all of them before any of them were born, squeezing over 100 historically documented prophecies into the first 35 verses of Daniel 11.

Daniel 11:36-45 are still future to us and require the re-emergence of these kings to be fulfilled. I believe in  our current headlines we're seeing signs that they're preparing to rise and take their positions on the end times stage.

What Makes You Say That?
In my Mid East Update I reported that Saudi Arabia gave the Egyptian Army substantial assistance in its successful overthrow of the government.  We now know that the United Arab Emirates and Kuwaitt  were also involved.   I mentioned that this concerns the US because of the possibility that these countries are banding together into a Sunni Muslim confederacy to oppose Iran. There's a likelihood that they will support and even assist Israel in destroying Iran's nuclear program.  (The US is not opposed to a Sunni confederacy, but has been trying to build one around Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood in a revival of the Ottoman Empire.  Saudi Arabia and Egypt have become too independent for American tastes.)

Now, several Middle Eastern news services are reporting that Iran is working to build a Shiite Muslim block  to counter this move by the Sunnis.  It appears that this block will consist of Iran, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon. This helps to explain why Iran is so heavily invested in Syria and Hizballah. Iran has sent billions of dollars in advanced weaponry to both and has thousands of soldiers stationed in Syria as well.

And just this week the Syrian state news agency SANA reported that an agreement was signed in Tehran by the Iranian and Syrian central banks, granting Syria a credit line worth $3.6 billion for oil. Damascus will repay Tehran by providing the Iranians “investment opportunities of various kinds” in Syria. According to the mideast intelligence service DEBKAfile, Iran is moving step by step to control the Syrian economy and advance its scheme for drawing Syria, Iraq and eventually Hizballah-dominated Lebanon into a Shiite economic bloc.

Some sources go even farther, claiming that Iran already controls Lebanon through its “wholly owned subsidiary” Hizballah.  And recently a senior Iranian cleric boldly stated,  “Syria is the 35th province [of Iran] and a strategic province for us.”

A recent article in Commentary magazine confirmed that “Iran is not only arming and training President Bashar Assad’s forces, both regular and irregular, but it has also sent Hizballah, Iranian-backed Iraqi militias, and units of its own Revolutionary Guards Corps to join his fight against the Sunni rebels. Add in the billions of dollars it has given Assad to prop up his regime, and it’s clear that if he survives, Syria will be another wholly-owned Iranian subsidiary.

"Whether Assad stays or goes is becoming irrelevant," a diplomat in the region told Khaled Yacoub Oweis of Reuters. "The conflict is now bigger than him, and it will continue without him. Iran is calling the shots."

And finally, the on-line magazine “Iran Focus” confirmed that Assad is not the issue. “Iran is primarily concerned with maintaining the Shiite crescent — which includes Shiites from Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria.”

History Repeating Itself
It can't be a coincidence that these Shiite nations occupy the same territory formerly controlled by the King of the North, just as the Sunni Muslim block occupies territory formerly held by the King of the South.

While there are sub-groups on both sides, Sunnis make up about 80% of the world's Muslim population with Shiites comprising the remaining 20%. Many people who aren't familiar with Islam don't realize that the relationship between the two groups has not always been friendly, even when they would appear to have common goals.  For example, after the 2006 Lebanon war, when much of the Arab world was claiming victory, Osama bin Laden (Sunni) publically criticized Hizballah (Shiite) for  “jumping the gun” and attacking Israel before the time was right.

Current examples of sectarian strife can be seen in the fact that according to Gulf News, Hamas (Sunni) has lost the financial support of Iran (Shiite) for backing the rebels in Syria against the Assad government and has been told to switch sides if they want their aid restored.

Also, in the US there's a fear that 10 years of “progress” in Iraq is being undone by Sunni/Shiite  violence.  Iraq has a Shiite majority being governed by a Sunni minority.  The American advisors have never successfully addressed that issue and are now concerned that Iraq may soon erupt in civil war.  Most observers see a not so subtle Iranian influence at work behind this.

The rivalry between these two sects of Islam goes back to the death of Mohammed when there was a battle over the right to succeed him and continues to this day.  Most of their beliefs are identical but there are some differences.  For example, they both believe in al Mahdi, but they don't agree on who he will be or what he will do.  Shiites believe he's the 12th Imam, who will appear at a time of great crisis in the world to establish the Islamic Caliphate, or Kingdom, and enforce world wide conversion to Islam.  Sunnis believe he will revive the faith, but will not necessarily be connected with the end of the world.

What Does That Mean?
A growing number of observers believe this rivalry could easily escalate into an all out Islamic war for control of the Middle East in a repeat of ancient history. Even though both sects have the capture of Jerusalem as their ultimate goal, each one wants to be the group that does it, and they're apparently willing to fight each other for the privilege.  The Bedouin saying,  "I against my brother, my brothers and I against my cousins, then my cousins and I against strangers" comes to mind.

Of course, anyone familiar with the years of Catholic vs. Protestant strife in Northern Ireland knows that sectarian violence is not unique to Islam.  But what would cause both Sunnis and Shiites to attack the anti-Christ as Daniel clearly prophesied (Daniel 11:40)?  Especially if, as I believe, Islam will be the end times religion and alMahdi will likely turn out to be the anti-Christ?

We could understand their difference of opinion over who alMahdi will be to cause one or the other to oppose him, but what could cause both to do so?

I think the Bible gives us the answer.

“He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God” (2 Thes. 2:4)

“The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire” (Rev. 17:16)

Satan has always used used man's need for a religion to help him achieve his goal of world dominance, but eventually he will have to make himself the only object of worship, unencumbered by any religious system.  And just like the Jews were incited to murder when Jesus claimed to be God, so these Islamic kings will be outraged when the one they thought was the promised servant of Allah makes the claim that he actually is Allah.

In Islam there's a saying, “Allah was not begotten nor does he beget.” When the anti-Christ proclaims himself to be God he will be committing blasphemy against both Allah and God.  And when he and his 10 kings move to destroy Islam, it's easy to see how the kings of the North and South, with massive armies under their command, could forget their differences and unite against him.

Students of Biblical history will recognize in this a strategy frequently employed by God, that of turning his enemies against each other.  You can find examples in Judges 7:22, 1 Sam 14:20, 2 Chron. 20:23, Ezek. 38:21, and Zech. 14:13.

Of course there's a lot of ground to cover between where we are now and the fulfillment of Daniel 11:40.  Thankfully the Church won't be here for most of the journey.  My purpose is to alert us to the possibility that one more sign of the times could be in the early stages of fulfillment. Because every sign of the times we see strengthens our conviction that we're living in the times of the signs.  You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.  08-03-13

Islamist Super-Bloc Begins Forming in the Middle East
Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood are looking to end the war in Syria with the goal of forming an Islamist super-bloc with Iran and Hezbollah.

A monumental strategic shift is taking place in the Middle East as an Islamist super-bloc is forming. Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood

are making up with Iran and Hezbollah. Egypt and the Gulf states are forming their own alliance. The U.S. outreach to Iran and the Brotherhood has left it missing from the equation.

The Syrian civil war has pitted the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood and Turkey against Iran, Hezbollah, Iraq and the Syrian regime since 2011. Now, with a bloody stalemate resulting in consequences each side fears, the two sides are looking for ways to make amends.

Turkey has been trying to move its relationship with Iran past the ancient Ottoman-Persian rivalry for years. The Erdogan government gave secret U.S. intelligence to Iran and in early 2012, informed Iran about ten of its nationals meeting with Israeli intelligence inside Turkey.

One of the architects of the Turkish-Iranian relationship is Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan, who the Israeli Defense Minister described as a “friend of Iran.” Some Israeli officials privately refer to him as the “station chief in Ankara” for Iranian intelligence.

These statements about Fidan’s role is not hype. The recent U.S. ambassador to Turkey and Iraq, James Jeffrey, put it this way: “Hakan Fidan is the face of the new Middle East.”

Until recently, the bitter civil war in Syria blunted Fidan’s aspirations. Turkey’s ideological ally, the Muslim Brotherhood, is trying to overthrow Syrian dictator Bashar Assad, Iran’s most valuable ally. But now both sides are exhausted. The war is costly, bloody and no one is gaining anything by its continuance.

Turkey sees Al-Qaeda affiliates taking control of the Syrian rebel cause and Kurdish militias gaining control near the border. The cost of overthrowing Assad would be exorbitant. Al-Qaeda and the Kurds would be even stronger and sectarian warfare will exasperate the refugee crisis.

Assad’s Iranian and Russians backers want him (or at least his regime) to remain in power for strategic reasons, but both have to realize that his forces are overstretched and cannot hope to reclaim the entirety of the country.

High-level Turkish and Iranian officials are meeting with the expressed purpose of ending the sectarian conflict. An unnamed senior Turkey official told Reuters, “Both Iran and Turkey are at a point where they think they can work together on Syria.”

Turkey has become the “regional hub for the Muslim Brotherhood’s international organization.” It also hosts a Hamas command post.  If Turkey is reaching out to Iran, it must be assumed that the Brotherhood is doing the same.

In late September, it was revealed that the Muslim Brotherhood is trying to unite Islamists into an international “Islamic Council.” At the same time, representatives from Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah were meeting and agreed to form an "axis of resistance."

Hamas has been in a dire financial crisis since losing Iran’s support and its stress is only going to increase as the Egyptian government continues to shutdown Hamas’ smuggling tunnels on the Sinai-Gaza border. The Iranians and Hezbollah are spending a ton of resources to save Assad from the Brotherhood-supported rebels. Both sides have major incentives to reach a settlement.

Economics and resources also play a role in the Turkish-Iranian relationship. Their trade is due to reach $30 billion by 2015. Iran wants Turkey to replace the pro-West United Arab Emirates as a re-exporting center, and Turkey wants to be a bigger customer for Iranian natural gas.

A major breakthrough happened when Hamas Deputy Politburo Chief Moussa Abu Marzook publicly criticized another Hamas leader, Khaled Mashaal, for supporting the Syrian rebels. Marzook emphasized that Hamas has no official relationship with the rebels.

Hamas leaders began calling for renewed violence against Israel, Mashaal showed up in Turkey and a planned trip to Iran was reported. It was subsequently reported that Iran postponed the visit, but there have been secret high-level visits from other Hamas officials recently.

Another important player is the U.S. “ally” Qatar. It is firmly in the camp of Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood. The Qatari Emir is making overtures to the new President of Iran.

Saudi Arabia is leading a third bloc that opposes Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood. The United Arab Emirates has loudly lobbied for such a coalition. Other members include Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen and Oman. The North African countries of Libya, Morocco and Algeria are likely participants, as is Tunisia once the Brotherhood’s ousting there is completed.

This is the bloc that is the least hostile to U.S. interests and Israel. It’s been long reported that these countries privately welcome an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear program. Their officials are holding secret meetings in Israel.

Unfortunately, Saudi Arabia is a Sharia

-based Salafist

state that cannot be expected to support Muslim moderates with a diametrically-opposed vision. The Saudis are supporting so-called “moderate” Salafists in Syria to compete with Al-Qaeda.

A rebel commander says that “Saudi tribal figures have been making calls on behalf of Saudi intelligence” and spreading money around to buy loyalty.

Approximately 50 rebel groups near Damascus announced they were uniting into the “Army of Islam” and would fight for a country solely based on Sharia. It is suspected that the Saudis engineered this in order to steer the rebel cause.

There may be a difference of opinion within this bloc regarding Syria. Egypt has not taken a clear stance. It isn’t adding its voice to the Saudis’ loud demands that Assad step down, but it isn’t dissenting either.

Where does the U.S. fit into all this? Nowhere.

The U.S. support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has alienated the majority of Egyptians. After the Obama Administration suspended a significant amount of military aid, the Egyptian government embraced Russia as an alternative.

The U.S. outreach to Iran and minimal support for the Syrian rebels has caused Saudi officials to talk of a "major shift" away from America. Secretary of State John Kerry tried to soothe the Saudis with a visit and a joint statement reiterating that Assad must be removed from power.

The Saudis are eager to convince Russia to end its support for Assad in exchange for a secret oil deal and strategic alliance. The Saudis may also move aggressively towards China; a country that has been a bigger customer for Saudi exports than the U.S. since 2009. It is apparent that Asia is going to become the most important customer for Saudi oil.

If the Turkey-led Sunni Islamists and the Iran-led Shiite Islamists divide Syria and agree to a ceasefire, a formidable cross-sectarian Islamist bloc will form. The Saudis, Egyptians and other Gulf states already see the U.S. as an unreliable partner and are looking to Russia and China for help.

This is the consequence of the ill-conceived American policy in the region.
