The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. Threat to electrify dog cage with girl inside just 'horseplay'

A man accused of punishing his 12-year-old daughter by binding her hands and feet with duct tape and sticking her in a dog cage, then threatening to electrify the crate, was just engaging in "some horseplay" that "got out of control," his lawyer says.

Here's what happened, according to a report from NBC station WLWT of Cincinnati:

The Hamilton County Clerk of Courts Office said James Tapke restrained his 12-year-old daughter's hands and feet using duct tape before placing her in a dog cage on Jan. 10. Then, while his daughter was in the cage, investigators said, Tapke dropped small amounts of water on her face.

According to court papers, the victim was in the cage for about 20 minutes before her 13-year-old brother let her out. When she got out, authorities said, the victim poured water on her father's head and in his ear.

Tapke then bound his daughter again with duct tape and put her back in the dog cage, investigators said, and while she was in the cage, Tapke told his son to go to the garage and retrieve an electrical jump pack so that he could electrify the cage. The girl's brother brought the jump pack and placed it in front of the cage, so his sister could see it.

In the last couple of weeks in my local paper(Dallas Morning News), I was very surprised by how much they've been putting the Freemasons in the forefront, albeit blatantly.

It was after the MLK holiday, they should a group of masons marching in a parade, and then this last weekend, some 109 year old mason was being honored at his lodge(they also said the head of that lodge is a veteran of the Dallas Police Dpt, and this 109 year old was superindendent of various school districts in TX).

I don't know about everyone else here, but personally, this is the first time in my lifetime(at least since I got aware of the NWO 3-4 years ago) that I've seen masons being advertised in the forefront community like this.

Either way, this is just pure wickedness - that 109 year old man is gonna realize he made a hurrendous mistake, and it's gonna be too late by then!

Florida teen stabs grandma 93 times to make his uncle suffer: police
Jasper Aristotle Smiddie killed the 67-year-old with a crossbow, stabbed her repeatedly, then hit her head with a wrench, sheriff says

A 19-year-old in Florida was so angry with his uncle, he viciously stabbed his grandmother nearly 100 times just to make him suffer, authorities said Wednesday.

The bitter teen also shot her in the head with a crossbow, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Department.

Jasper Aristotle Smiddie's original plan was to kill his uncle, according to Sheriff Grady Judd.

Instead, "he decided, 'Well, I'll kill my grandmother instead, so my uncle has to live with the death of his mother for the rest of his life,'" Judd said at a press conference on Wednesday.

It is unclear exactly what happened to cause Smiddie to hate his uncle so much, police said.

Zdeno Chara bleeds, Canadiens fans cheer, everyone lectures on ‘staying classy’

Despite getting a recent run from other cities when it comes to postgame arson, Montreal Canadiens fans still epitomize all that's wrong with hockey fandom in the eyes of many. The self-entitlement. The language politics. The hasty running of players out of town. The hysterical reaction to issues significant and myopic.

The inappropriate booing of anthems and cheering of injuries.

It's no surprise, then, that hockey fans and media crowded the same soapbox on Wednesday night to lambaste some Habs fans for having l'audace to cheer when Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara was hit in the face by a Tomas Plekanec clearing attempt.

Teacher Leaves Wife, Kids for High School Student

http://shine.yahoo.com/parenting/teacher-leaves-wife-kids-high-school-student-225300504.html

Last year, Jordan Powers was just another student from Mr. ****'s class. Now she's his live-in girlfriend.

James **** -- the 41-year-old married father who left his wife and kids for his 18-year-old-student -- might be the worst teacher ever. Last week, he resigned from his job at Enochs High School in Modesto, California over the scandal that's shaken up a community and pit one mom on a crusade to save her daughter from a man she calls a "master manipulator."

Jordan met her teacher as a freshman, but both maintain nothing physical happened until she turned 18 this past September. **** claims he saw Powers as "just a student" and had no romantic feelings toward her at first, but when her most recent birthday came around, things changed.

They changed so much, in fact, that ****, left his wife and three kids (one of them a 17-year-old Enochs high school student as well) so that he could move in with Jordan.

If this all sounds suspicious to you, imagine how Tammie Powers, Jordan's mom, feels. She's launched an official police investigation to find out if ****'s relationship with her daughter began before Jordan was of legal age. Tammie is convinced it did, citing a photo of her daughter on ****'s lap and text messages, emails and phone records exchanged between the couple that predate her daughter's 18th birthday.

"That's pursuit, in my opinion, with some type of intent," she told ABC News 10 in California.

**** denies Tammie's claims and is confident the investigation will turn up nothing. He blames the "stigma of the teacher-student relationship" for the public backlash. But ****'s former boss, Modesto City Schools Supt. Pam Able, doesn't agree.

Even if their relationship doesn't break any laws, Able says she "considers student-teacher dating relationships to be not only unprofessional, but immoral." She also added in an email to the Modesto Bee, that ****'s relationship has become a "source of great concern for staff, students and parents."

Read more: Shocking allegations against teachers in L.A. school

It must be particularly hard for ****'s 17 year old daughter, now that her father has left to be with a fellow classmate and become a notorious figure throughout the school.

Still, **** claims he has no regrets. In an interview with Good Morning America, he shut down Tammie's accusations as a "pack of lies" and said of his new love, "we really do want to have a future together."

Jordan, a quiet, fragile-seeming young woman, who looks closer to 15 than 18 years in age, gazed up at her former teacher, a man that looks every bit his 41 years, and said, "He's more than just a lover."

Jordan has now stopped going to classes and is finishing out her senior year by doing an independent study. She has limited contact with her mom, now that she's living with her teacher, mom's worst nightmare.

Desperate for her child, Tammie has turned her own Facebook page into a "most wanted" profile for ****. She's plastered his photo all over her wall warning neighbors about the man she calls an "arrogant pig". She's also made her wallpaper a photo of a prison cell, sending a message to **** should he dare visit her site.

Since the story has been picked up by national press, she's been flooded with messages of support from strangers. Tonight, she'll be taking her crusade against **** to Nancy Grace. "Nancy's always been a victims advocate and fights for justice," Tammie wrote on Facebook. "That's the goal here, justice."

oh dear Lord... Shocked

The Execution Factor: It was designed as propaganda to deter would-be criminals. Instead interviews on death row have become China's new TV hit

With her silk scarves and immaculate make-up, Ding Yu looks every inch the modern television presenter. Indeed, for the past five years she has hosted a hugely successful prime-time show in China which has a devoted following of 40 million viewers every Saturday night.
But while in Britain the weekend evening entertainment will be The X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing, Ms Ding’s show features harrowing – some would say voyeuristic – footage of prisoners confessing their crimes and begging forgiveness before being led away to their executions.

The scenes are recorded sometimes minutes before the prisoners are put to death, or in other cases when only days of their life remain.

The glamorous Ms Ding conducts face-to-face interviews with the prisoners, who have often committed especially gruesome crimes. Her subjects sit in handcuffs and leg chains, guarded by warders. She warms up with anodyne questions about favourite films or music, but then hectors the prisoners about the violent details of their crimes and eventually wrings apologies out of them.
She promises to relay final messages to family members, who are usually not allowed to visit them on death row.

The cameras keep rolling as the condemned say a farewell message and are led away to be killed by firing squad or lethal injection.

http://news.yahoo.com/bounty-scandal-could-end-u-courts-223629970--nfl.html

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A scandal in which U.S. football players got rewarded for injuring opponents could have legal consequences, with prosecutors, players and even fans getting in on the judicial action.

By Sunday morning, four National Football League teams were linked to a "pay for pain" scandal that came to light in Friday's NFL announcement that New Orleans Saints defensive players were paid for "big hits" that took opponents out of play.

Over the weekend, reports of bounty programs at the Washington Redskins, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans emerged in The Washington Post, the Buffalo News and The New York Times.

Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, said by the NFL to have orchestrated the Saints scheme, was on the coaching staff at each of the four teams
.

The NFL, which is trying to improve its image in the face of lawsuits by former players over concussion injuries, is likely to mete out its own punishment against teams involved in making bounty payments, which could include suspensions, fines and restrictions on player recruitment.

But pieces of the scandal could well end up in the courts, say legal experts.

CRIMINAL CHARGES

Criminal charges of assault and battery against the teams, including Williams, are possible, said Ryan Rodenberg, an attorney and a sports management professor at Florida State University.

Rodenberg said that in 2000, Canadian prosecutors brought assault charges against Boston Bruins hockey player Marty McSorley for smashing Vancouver Canucks player Donald Brashear in the head with a hockey stick. As a result of the blow, Brashear struck his head on the ice, lost consciousness and suffered memory lapses. McSorley was sentenced to 18 months probation and banned from playing for that period.

Although the case did not involve bounty payments, it illustrates the willingness of prosecutors to get involved in situations involving intentional hits, Rodenberg said. Criminal charges related to the bounty scandal could arise from the various jurisdictions where injuries occurred.

Federal prosecutors could also bring charges, said Paul Callan, a former New York City prosecutor who is an attorney at New York's Callan, Koster, Brady & Brennan. If bounties were paid for games played outside a team's home state, then interstate telephone calls, computer use and travel could trigger federal charges, he said.

Possible charges could include wire fraud, conspiracy and racketeering, Callan said. Tax evasion charges were another possibility for the money that players earned for making big hits.

"Things could get interesting," Callan said.

EXTENT OF WRONGDOING

Both Rodenberg and Callan said the extent of the wrongdoing would determine if battery, conspiracy and racketeering charges would ensue. The more likely scenario at this point, they said, was for state and federal authorities to let the NFL deal with the problem.

Messages seeking comments for this story from the four NFL teams were not returned.

In a statement on Friday, Williams, now with the St. Louis Rams, confirmed that the system had been in place at the Saints.

"It was a terrible mistake and we knew it was wrong while we were doing it. Instead of getting caught up in it, I should have stopped it," he said.

"I take full responsibility for my role".

Bills CEO Russ Brandon denied knowledge of any such payment system while Williams was head coach, telling the Buffalo News, "We would not have tolerated that type of behavior."

On the civil side of the law, one possibility is a class action, Callan said.

Fans who had tickets to games involving bounty payments could assert they paid to watch games based solely on athletic ability, not on side bets for taking players out, Callan said. Damages likely would be limited to the price of the tickets, but considering the value of those tickets and the thousands of fans who attend, the damages could add up quickly, he said.

The claims could be similar to those made in a 2007 lawsuit seeking class-action status. In that case, a New York Jets season ticketholder sued the New England Patriots and coach Bill Belichick. The lawsuit claimed that the Patriots deceived fans by secretly videotaping the Jets coaches making hand signals. In 2010, a federal appeals court threw out the case, ruling that attending an "honest" game was not a viable claim.

The U.S. Supreme Court last year declined to hear the case.

A NEW PRECEDENT?

Ticketholders considering class actions against the Saints and other teams should note that the appeals court in 2010 wrote in its ruling that the case was unlike others it had considered, which could leave room for subsequent cases. The appeals court limited its ruling to the contractual relationship between team and ticketholder.

Other civil claims could include battery and conspiracy made by injured players. In their defense, the Saints and other teams likely would argue that even if bounty payments had occurred, the opposing players assumed the risk of injury and could not recover for them, said Kenneth Shropshire, an attorney at law firm Duane Morris in Philadelphia and professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. That defense could be persuasive to a court, he said.

"This is a violent sport that they volunteer to participate in. That's just the mentality of the game," he said.

Linda Greene, professor at University of Wisconsin Law School, said that the assumption-of-the-risk defense could fail if the bounty payments had so changed the terms of play that the hits were beyond what was normal.

Proving damages under any battery claims would take a meticulous analysis of the particular hits in question to determine if they were beyond the usual bounds of play, Greene said.

Any claims or charges would be subject to statutes of limitations, legal experts said. Determining which jurisdictions' laws applied and when the alleged conduct began and ended likely would be major points of contention.

Well I guess somebody got mad and stirred this up. Bounties have existed in football ever since I first placed organized football as a kid. Not quite the same payments of course, but players going after certain players is old news in football.

When I was a senior in high school, my school, King High in Tampa played Leto High, whos starting qb was my then girlfriend's, and later wife, ex-boyfriend. His name was Fontes, and his dad is Wayne Fontes. Look it up. Fontes is an ex-coach and head coach in the NFL. He coached with the Bucs back then, then on to Detriot I think. Anyway...

We played them that year at our school, and they were ranked 7th in the state, and we weren't ranked. We had just beaten the previous week the number 1 team, Plant High at their school. Once my girlfriend told me who was their starting quaterback, I put the word out to the defensive front line that I wanted him out of the game. He was out of the game by halftime, and we beat them in overtime, and were ranked the next week in the state polls as high as number 5 I think. We ended up barely having a winning season at 6-4, but we made some noise for awhile.

The point is that anybody that has played organized football knows about bounties. I realize that the NFL thing is about cash payments, but it's the same results; an injured player for the sake of putting them out of a game. Not cool at all.

Parents Sue for ‘Wrongful Birth’ After Daughter Born With Down Syndrome

The parents of a child born with Down syndrome are suing a Portland, Ore. health center for “wrongful birth,” saying they would have aborted their daughter had they known she had a chromosomal abnormality.

Deborah and Ariel Levy filed suit against Legacy Health, blaming their maternity center and lab for allegedly botching the prenatal test that should have revealed that their daughter, Kalanit, has an extra 21st chromosome, the Oregonian reported.

The couple, who also have two young sons, are suing for the expected lifetime costs of caring for their now-4-year-old daughter — an estimated $3 million. A jury began deliberating their case Thursday.

I am just at a lost for words on this one.

Quote
Ore. couple gets $2.9M for 'wrongful birth' of Down syndrome daughter
A jury in Oregon on Friday awarded $2.9M to the parents of a Down syndrome baby who sued for "wrongful birth" after their daughter was unexpectedly born with the abnormality.

Ariel and Deborah Levy say they would have aborted their now four-year-old daughter had they known about the condition back in 2007.

Initially overjoyed at the birth, they say they were left in a state of shock when hospital staff told them their daughter looked like she had Down syndrome.

A doctor then asked Deborah Levy if she'd had a prenatal test, to which Levy responded in the affirmative -- the results of the test had revealed they would have a normal, healthy child.

Within days of her birth, however, a blood test confirmed the little girl had Down syndrome.

The couple sued Legacy Health for $3M, claiming that Deborah Levy would have aborted her pregnancy had she known her daughter had Down syndrome, The Oregonian reported.

The lawsuit blamed Legacy's Center for Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Portland and a Legacy lab for allegedly botching the test.

The Levys -- who insist they dearly love their daughter, Kalanit -- wanted Legacy to pay for the extra lifetime costs of caring for her.

The jury voted 12-0, taking less than six hours before reaching a verdict, capping a highly emotional trial in Multnomah County Circuit Court, The Oregonian reported.

The jury ruled that Legacy Health was negligent.

Deborah Levy, who had held her emotions in check throughout the trial, began to cry as Judge Karin Immergut read the verdict, the newspaper added.

Ind. basketball dad knocks coach unconscious because he forced daughter to run laps

A Indiana father is facing serious charges after launching a brutal attack on his daughter's assistant middle school basketball coach for the coach's implementation of an incredibly simple and traditional practice: He made her run laps in the gym.

As reported by South Bend-based TV network WSBT, Michigan City, Ind. basketball father Shelly Miller, aged 37, attacked Michigan City (Ind.) St. Stanislas School assistant middle school girls basketball coach Jeffrey Yackus shortly after one of the team's daily practice concluded.

According to WSBT, Yackus had punished Miller's daughter and another player who argued with each other during practice. Yet the only punishment that Yackus meted out was making the two girls run laps in the school's gym.

It appears that pushed the elder Miller over the edge. When he went to pick up his daughter later, she told the elder Miller about her punishment and he immediately attacked Yackus and punched him in the face.

http://news.yahoo.com/choking-game-1-7-college-kids-tried-104023904.html

The 'Choking Game': 1 in 7 College Kids Has Tried It

College students aren't necessarily renowned for their good judgment, and a new study reinforces that, finding that nearly one in seven co-eds has played the Choking Game, which is every bit as dangerous as it sounds.

Also called the Fainting Game, Pass Out, or Space Monkey, the Choking Game can be played individually or in groups. It consists of manually choking yourself or others, sticking a plastic bag over the head, tying a string around the neck or hyperventilating, all in search of a few seconds of euphoria. (See TIME's health and medicine covers.)

Researchers at The Crime Victims' Institute at Sam Houston State University surveyed 837 students at a Texas university and found that the behavior, which works by cutting off blood flow to the brain in order to induce a high, was frighteningly commonplace:

•16% of students said they'd played the game, and three-quarters more than once
•On average, students first played the game at age 14
•Males were more likely to have played than females
•90% of students who had played the game learned about it from friends, and most students said they first played in a group

Why in the world would kids engage in this potentially deadly behavior? In a word, curiosity. They may also not realize it has the potential to be just as deadly as illegal drugs. The good news is that learning that a number of teens and college students have suffocated to death from playing the Choking Game helped deter students from playing. Parents, talk to your kids. And schools can play a role too: related research found that 90% of parents think that including information about the dangers of the game in school health and drug prevention classes is a smart idea.(MORE: For Teens Who Cut, Going Online Can Sometimes Help)

As the study notes:

"This 'game,' as it is often called, does not require obtaining any drugs or alcohol, is free, and can go undetected by many parents, teachers, physicians, and other authority figures. Most importantly, many of those who engage in this activity, do not understand that the practice can be just as deadly as the illegal substances youth have been warned against."

Air Force treated 9/11 remains as medical waste...and yet they want us to believe they cannot get ANY DNA out of the material? Can't tell the material from a ham sandwich? Are they serious? Wow. The lack of humanity is appaling. And people being trained to think that way is the evil.

At a news conference Friday, Jo Ann Rooney, the acting defense undersecretary for personnel and readiness, said that some of the Group F remains included biological material that may not have been human and it could not be determined if there were terrorist remains mixed in. It could, she said, have been "something from someone's lunch."

The practice at the time, in a situation like that, she said, would be to treat the latter group of remains as medical waste.

10-Year-Old Girl Gives Birth to Daughter

A 10-year-old Colombian girl gave birth to a healthy baby girl, making her one of the youngest mothers ever.

The unnamed girl from Manaure, a town in the Colombian Department of La Guajira, arrived at the hospital in tears and "enormous pain" from the contractions, according to  Univision's Primer Impacto. She reportedly delivered her daughter, who weighed 5 pounds, by cesarean section.

Experts say a C-section delivery for such a young mother is not unusual.

"The baby's head needs to come through a bony outlet. But in a young girl, the pelvis may not be ready or big enough to deliver a baby," said Dr. Kimberly Gecsi, an OB/GYN at UH Case Medical Center in Cleveland.

Extremely young mothers also have a higher risk of pregnancy-induced high blood pressure known as preeclampsia, and their babies are at risk for fetal growth restriction, according to Dr. Frederick Gonzalez, a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center.

"These girls are not ready to be pregnant. Their bodies are not mature," said Gonzalez. "They may be able to get pregnant, but being able to have a baby is a whole other situation."

The new mom is a member of the Wayuu people, an indigenous tribe in northern Colombia. The age of the father is unknown, but police can't press charges because the tribe has its own jurisdiction, according to local reports.

"We've already seen several cases [of pregnancy] in girls of the Wayuu ethnicity," Efraín Pacheco Casadiego, director of the hospital where the girl gave birth,  told RCN La Radio noticias. "When in fact [the girls] should be playing with dolls, they are having to care for a baby. This is shocking."

Pregnancy can occur as soon as a girl starts ovulating, which is happening at ever younger ages.

"The average age girls in the country start menstruating is about 12 and a half, but that age keeps dropping," said Gecsi, adding that the age is even lower among Hispanic girls. "But only about 13 percent of Hispanic girls menstruate younger than 11. And for them to have a sexual experience would be very unusual."

Because ovulation precedes menstruation, girls can get pregnant before ever having a period.

"Typically, menstruation is the last thing that happens in puberty," said Gesci, adding that girls typically go through a growth spurt and develop breasts and pubic hair before menstruating. "If you notice those things, you could be about to menstruate and you could get pregnant."

Angry ex-girlfriend goes ballistic, rips off man’s scrotum
By Taylor Bigler - The Daily Caller | The Daily Caller – Fri, Apr 6, 2012.

Talk about a ball buster.

An Indiana man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after his scrotum was the victim of a vicious attack by an ex-girlfriend, The Smoking Gun reports.

The victim told police that his former girlfriend, Christina Reber, stormed into his apartment as he was innocently sitting at his computer. Reber, who he had severed ties with a few days earlier, first struck him on the head and then grabbed his scrotum and began “squeezing as hard as she could.” Naturally, he told officers that he “was in incredible pain when [she] grabbed his scrotum and began digging in her fingers.”

The police report indicates that the scrotum area was “completely torn loose from his body.” Reber reportedly “refused to let go of his scrotum,” but that the victim was finally able to remove his balls from her vice-like grip.

As if the story isn’t already good enough, the victim, who has not been identified, was taken to BALL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. As far as we know, the hospital is not only for scrotum-specific injuries.

In an interview two days after the incident, the man told police that after his ex was done breaking his balls, his family jewels are so swollen that he is unable to work, and he isn’t sure if there will be permanent damage.

Reber was charged with two felonies: aggravated battery and illegally entering the victim’s home. She was also charged with a misdemeanor domestic battery.

Man who fathered 30 kids says he needs a break—on child support Shocked
By Pueng Vongs | The Sideshow – 8 hrs ago

And you thought Octomom had her hands full—a Tennessee man who has fathered 30 children is asking the courts for a break on child support.

Desmond Hatchett, 33, of Knoxville has children with 11 different women, reports WREG-TV.

The state already takes half his paycheck and divides it up, which doesn't amount to much when Hatchett is making only minimum wage. Some of the moms receive as little as $1.49 a month. The oldest child is 14 years old.

Hatchett explains how he reached such a critical mass: He had four kids in the same year. Twice.

Back in 2009 when Hatchett was in court to answer charges that many of the mothers were not receiving child support, he had 21 children. At the time, he said he was not going to father any more kids, but he ended up having nine more in the past three years.

The state cannot order Hatchett to stop making babies. He hasn't broken any laws, according to the report.

CORRECTION: I misread the article - no, it wasn't for 6 years, but for A MERE FIVE WEEKS they were by the wrong woman in the hospital room! Kilika explains it further below. So no, nothing evil about this!

 Huh

So somehow this "normal woman" just eluded her family for these 6 years? Shouldn't have been a "mistake" on her part.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/mistaken-identity-woman-now-lives-pretty-normal-life-182125069.html

Woman mistaken as dead 6 years ago now married; husband to be deployed to Afghanistan

Whitney Cerak lives a pretty normal life nowadays. Which seems just fine with her.

Six years after being mistaken for dead, Cerak is now a wife and mother. In fact, she married her soldier boyfriend, Matt Wheeler, in the same church where her family had held her funeral.

When Matt Lauer of "Today" asked her to reflect for a piece about her life, Cerak said. "I don't know where to start."

Things have changed since that dramatic day in 2006. Cerak was among a group of Taylor University students in a van that collided with a truck in Indiana. Five people were killed. Cerak, heavily bandaged and unresponsive, was misidentified as classmate Laura Van Ryn, who had a similar appearance and died in the crash.

For five weeks, Van Ryn's parents sat by the hospital bed of the young lady they assumed was their daughter. Cerak's family held a funeral for Whitney that was attended by more than 1,000 people.

The truth came a terrible shock for the Van Ryns.

"Well, it was hard. but we knew where our daughter was…and we knew that (Whitney's parents) needed to know where their daughter was," Laura's mother, Susie Van Ryn, told "Today."

The Ceraks and and Van Ryns remain friends.  "I love the Van Ryn family. They're so great," Whitney said in the piece.

Now Whitney and Matt have started a family of their own, recently welcoming their first child, a son, Zachary Thomas, into the world, according to the Daily Mail.

The next hurdle for Whitney is dealing with the upcoming departure of Matt, who is being deployed to Afghanistan by the Army.

"This will be like a whole different level of hard," she said in the "Today" story.

I almost did the same thing. You misread it. It wasn't 6 years the family didn't know. It's been 6 years since the events took place!

They may have been more obvious, but they do say how long they didn't know...

One has to assume 5 weeks they didn't know, not 6 years.

MAY 31--A Maryland man charged with murdering a male housemate confessed to investigators that after killing the victim he ingested the man’s heart “and portions of his brain,” according to court filings.

Cops investigating the recent disappearance of  Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, discovered what they believe to be the man’s remains in a Joppatowne residence he shared with Alexander Kinyua, 21, and members of Kinyua’s family.

Kinyua is pictured in the above mug shot.

Investigators had been summoned to the residence after Kinyua’s brother Jarrod opened two tins in the home’s basement laundry room and “observed a human head and two human hands.”  When Jarrod confronted his brother about the remains, Alexander “denied the remains were human and stated that they were animal remains,” an investigator reported.

Jarrod then went upstairs, got his father, and returned to the basement, where “the items he observed were gone and that Alex Kinyua was cleaning the container he observed them in.”

During a search of the home early yesterday, Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered “a human head and two hands.” In a subsequent interview, Kinyua “reported that he had caused the death of Mr. Kodie by cutting him up with a knife,” and that “after causing the death he had ingested” the dead man’s “heart and portions of his brain.”

Kinyua then directed deputies to a nearby Baptist church, where the remainder of Agyei-Kodie’s body was found in a dumpster. Police have not detailed a motive for the brutal killing.

Kilika, have you heard much about this story?

http://gma.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/mother-drives-5-week-old-top-car-164426051--abc-news-topstories.html

Mother Drives With 5-Week-Old on Top of Car

By Olivia Katrandjian | ABC News Blogs – 10 hours ago

A Phoenix, Ariz., woman put her 5-week-old baby on top of her car in his car seat and drove away, apparently forgetting he was there, not even noticing when the seat fell off the car and landed in an intersection, police said.

Neighbors discovered the baby on the roadway, still strapped to his safety seat, which was lying on its side. Luckily, the baby was unhurt.

The baby's mother, 19-year-old Catalina Clouser, who allegedly had been smoking ****, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence and child abuse, police said.

"We believe that whatever she was under the influence of was the deciding factor in what did happen to this child and we're extremely happy that for the baby this turned out well and the baby is going to be OK," Officer James Holmes of the Phoenix Police Depart said.

Clauser, her boyfriend and their friends had been smoking **** earlier in the evening at a nearby park, but the boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of aggravated DUI when they went to a store - with the baby in the car - to get beer, according to police.

Upset that her boyfriend was arrested, police said, Clauser went to a friend's home and smoked more ****.

Clauser left around midnight and apparently put the sleeping baby on the roof of the car and drove off, forgetting he was there, and continued driving after the baby fell off the car, Holmes said.

Leilani Gerlach, a homeowner who lives across from the intersection, notified police after she and another neighbor saw the baby in the car seat on the street.

"We were both rolling our eyes in astonishment that someone could forget their baby," Gerlach said. "The car seat was turned to the side so anyone passing by wouldn't be able to tell there was an actual baby inside. Thank god they stopped."

After police arrived, two people walked up and told them the baby was Clausen's. As the officers talked to the two, who identified themselves as friends of Clausen and her boyfriend, the young mother drove up, police said.

"[She] had gotten into her car, set the baby seat on top of the car and forgot that the child was up there. It does not appear that immediately she realized what happened," Holmes said. "I think that perhaps she got where she was going and realized that she did not have the baby in the car."

"There was damage to the car seat, it was scraped but there was no damage to the child," Holmes said.

The baby is now in custody of Child Protective Services.

Fla. woman doused in gas, set on fire at 7-Eleven
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A woman was severely burned Monday after being doused in gasoline and lit on fire outside a 7-Eleven store in South Florida in a dispute with the father of her child, police said.

The 34-year-old woman was waiting in her silver Mercedes at the store shortly before 3 a.m., Boynton Beach Police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said. She was meeting her ex to pick up her 4-year-old son for whom they share custody.

Roosevelt Mondesir, 52, arrived in his white Jaguar without the boy and began throwing gasoline on the unidentified woman's car and body, according to a police affidavit. She tried to run away, but police said the man chased her with a knife and then ignited her.

In graphic surveillance video, a man can be seen threatening a woman with a large knife, struggling in the doorway of the store. "Get away from me!" she can be heard shouting
.

They disappear from view until she returns in a massive fireball, screaming and running around the parking lot.

Officers searched by foot, with a police dog, and by helicopter before finding Mondesir several hours later in bushes near the 7-Eleven. He was charged with attempted first-degree murder and was being treated for burns at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach before being transferred to jail.

It was not known if he had yet obtained an attorney.

The victim was not identified, but she is expected to survive. She was being treated at Delray Medical Center.

Police haven't said what led to the attack.

I saw this ad for the new ABC tv show during the basketball game tonight - it's called "666 Park Avenue". Yes, you read it right!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/666_Park_Avenue

Quote
666 Park Avenue is an upcoming American drama series created and produced by David Wilcox and based on the novel of the same name by Gabriella Pierce. The series follows a couple who learns that the Manhattan building complex that they just moved into, including its upscale tenants, might be possessed by a mysterious demonic force.

It's as if these end times deceptions are becoming more and more in your face...

ABC is something else. Them and their buddy Disney account for most of these type shows. Especially the teen shows. "ABC Family" yeah right! ABC is the most blatantly wicked channel out there among those that claim any "family" status. Par for the course.

Waldo Canyon Fire Evacuees Return To Find Property Burglarized, Vandalized

Some evacuees from the Waldo Canyon Fire are returning home to find they were burglarized.

One couple’s car was stolen right out of their garage. Thieves also took jewelry and computers.

“It’s almost as bad as a house burned down because you feel violated. There are people out there who prey upon victims and people that are already suffering, so I feel like I’ve been hit by a train,” said Waldo Canyon Fire evacuee Linda Burton.

So far 22 homes have been reported as being burglarized while evacuees were waiting out the fire.

Mar_13:12  Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

Col 3:20  Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Being from North Texas, have read alot about this guy since he got drafted in 2010 - even though he was a "value pick" at around #23(1st round), he was nonetheless a red flag b/c of his character issues like seen here(and injury prone to boot). This also happened to be Wade Phillips's last year as the coach(since then, Jason Garrett has approached evaluating talent much differently).

Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant's mom alleges assault

Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant was arrested Monday after allegedly assaulting his mother, Angela, on Saturday, according to DeSoto, Texas, police captain Ron Smith.

According to the incident report, Bryant became angry when his mother asked him to leave her home during an argument Saturday afternoon.

Initially, at a Tuesday news conference, Smith said Bryant slapped his mother in the face, but the police report, which was released later Tuesday, clarified that Bryant allegedly grabbed her by her T-shirt and hair and "hit her across the face with his ball cap."

Angela Bryant, whose T-shirt and bra were allegedly torn during the incident, indicated on a 911 call that this was not the first time she was assaulted by her son
.

"I can't keep letting him do this," said Angela Bryant, who made the call from the nearby home of family friend and adviser David Wells. "I can't keep letting him do me like this. I'm tired. I'm going to put an end to it today. I'm going to put an end to it today. I'm tired."

Officers who responded to the 911 call from Bryant's mother did not observe any injuries, and she did not complain of pain at the time, according to the report. On Monday, after officers contacted Bryant's mother at her home, the report states that she said she had pain in her wrists, hands and arms. Officers observed swelling around her wrists at that time, according to the report.

After being transported to the DeSoto police department, Angela Bryant, 37, provided a written statement detailing the alleged assault. According to the report, she stated Dez Bryant repeatedly struck her in the hands and wrists. Officers observed bruising on both arms. She also complained that her chest was sore from Bryant pushing her.

After a warrant was issued for his arrest, Bryant turned himself in Monday and was booked without incident.

Prosecutor: Teens killed man in ‘knock ‘em down’ game

Three teenagers accused of killing a 62-year-old father-of-12 in West Rogers Park were playing a game called “Pick ‘em out and knock ‘em down” when they videotaped themselves punching him in the face, prosecutors say.

Malik Jones, 16, Nicholas Ayala, 17, and Anthony Malcolm, 18, were caught after the video of Jones fatally punching Delfino Mora was posted on Jones’ Facebook page, according to authorities.

The three were playing a “game where the offender picks an innocent victim and knocks him out by striking him and likely robbing him as well,” Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Terry Clancy told Judge Israel Desierto in court Monday.

Similar attacks — some resulting in death — have previously been reported in Missouri, New Jersey and Decatur. The game also goes by the name “Knockout King,” and experts say it is a grab for attention.

Prosecutors did not mention the game Sunday when Jones appeared before a judge on first degree murder charges in the most recent case, but gave a more detailed account of the crime when his two alleged accomplices made their first appearance in court Monday.

They allege Jones struck the fatal blow and owns the cell phone used to film Mora’s murder in the alley on the 6300 block of North Artesian early July 10.

Jones spotted Mora, a salvager who was collecting empty pop cans, and told the others, “I think I’m going to knock this m----------- out,” Clancy said.

She said Jones then handed Ayala his cell phone, and Ayala passed it on to Malcolm, who recorded Jones as he approached Mora.

The prosecutor said Jones punched Mora in the jaw after asking him, “You got any money in your pockets?”

When Mora collapsed, Malcolm continued to film the incident, then all three teens ran away, she said.

Jones and Ayala then returned to the alley, where Jones stole $60 from Mora’s wallet and gave Ayala $20, according to the prosecutor, who said all three defendants left the area “laughing about victimizing the old man.”

Minutes later, they allegedly took $1 by force from a second victim, a 64-year-old man.

Mora was found at the scene three hours later, with blood coming from a nostril and vomit next to his head. He was declared dead the next day at St. Francis Hospital.

After the video of the incident was posted to Facebook, it was spotted by a witness who prosecutors said had been attacked by Jones on June 30.

One of Mora’s sons also saw the video, and when police arrested Jones on Saturday, Jones had in his possession the cell phone used to make the video, Clancy said. Ayala and Malcolm can both be heard speaking on it, she added.

According to police reports, Jones and Ayala are both members of the Latin Kings street gang. All three teens have been charged as adults with first-degree murder and are being held without bail. They’ve all confessed, prosecutors say.

But Jones’ father, Terry Jones, said Monday that his son didn’t realize that the blow he was struck was fatal.

“He was only trying to knock him out,” he said, adding that his son’s troubles dated to his joining the gang and time he spent in juvenile detention in DuPage County.

The incident bore close similarities to an attack on a homeless man knocked unconscious at the Chicago Avenue CTA Red Line station in April last year. Scotty Strahan, 18, turned himself in to police in November and was charged with two counts of aggravated battery after a cell phone video clip of the attack posted on worldhiphopstar.com went viral.

“We know that juveniles don’t think out consequences clearly,” Beth Huebner, an associate professor of criminology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, told the Associated Press after a 72-year-old Vietnamese immigrant was killed in another “Knock ‘em out” case in St. Louis last year.

“They see something on YouTube and say, ‘I want to get that sort of attention, too.’ They don’t think about the person they’re attacking maybe hitting their head.”

Mora’s family is collecting funds to send his remains to Mexico. Donations can be made to Chase Bank account number 3038964317 in the name of Valentin Mora.

4 NYC Beachgoers Stuck by Needles in Sand

Four people walking or playing on New York City beaches have suffered puncture wounds from needles in the sand in the last three weeks, park officials said.

In the most recent incident, a lifeguard on duty at Rockaway Beach stepped on a needle at Beach 139th Street Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

The other three people were wounded over the last three weeks on Staten Island. On July 16, a 63-year-old woman stepped on a hypodermic needle on Cedar Grove Beach, cutting her foot. On July 14, a 37-year-old man was stuck in the hand by a needle while he was on the sand at South Beach, near Father Capodanno Boulevard and Sand Lane. And on July 4, a 40-year-old man was stuck by a needle at South Beach.

All three beachgoers were taken to Staten Island University Hospital North.

"You don't know where these needles come from," said Crystal Matis of Elm Park, who was at the beach Wednesday with her young daughter. "It's very scary."

Florida Police Arrest Worst Son In The WorldCops: Man rubbed dog feces in mother's face during argument

A Florida man yesterday rubbed dog feces in his mother’s face during an argument in the home they share, police report.

Cops arrested William Jenkins, 22, on a felony domestic battery charge for pushing his mother, 53, to the floor during the dispute, according to a Palmetto Police Department report.

When questioned by cops, Jenkins denied pushing his mother, but admitted that he “did rub dog defecation on her face because she yelled at him,” investigators noted.

The confrontation between Jenkins, pictured in the adjacent mug shot, was apparently prompted by his mother’s refusal to provide him with a shot of vodka.

Jenkins retrieved the dog feces from the home’s back porch, where his mother’s dog had relieved itself. He “then reached down with his hand picked up the dog defecation and rubbed it in his mother’s face,” cops reported.

Jenkins is being held in the Manatee County jail, where bond has not been set. (1 page)
