Whoa Nelly! I didn't say that they could be a politician! You used the word "leaders" bro, to which I ageed. Had you used "politician" I would have disagreed. God doesn't and Pinto is wrong.

The Lord picks the governments? That sounds very much like the sales pitch of the "Romans 13 crowd". Not according to the bible I read. What scripture says is that the powers that be are ordained of God. BIG difference.

I mean seriously, you know who the ruler of this world is. This world is not the kingdom of Jesus, just as He said. It belongs to Satan for now to run, and ALL governments of the world are satanically run. ALL of them.

That means God ALLOWS things to happen, remember, free will? God allows man to go running off on his own tangent of works in the world, all the while God is patiently waiting for His son to come running back with his tail between his legs and repents for walking after the world.

So you think that whoever gets into political office is put there by God? Explain if you would.

Dan 2:21   And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:  

Dan 4:17   This matter [is] by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.  

The Lord is on control of all things, including who our leaders are.

Act 5:33 ¶ When they heard [that], they were cut [to the heart], and took counsel to slay them.  


 Act 5:34   Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;  


 Act 5:35   And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.  


 Act 5:36   For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.  


 Act 5:37   After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, [even] as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.  


 Act 5:38   And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:  


 Act 5:39   But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
