March 27, 2024, 12:55:24 pm Mark says: Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked  When Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida began a speech marking the 100th day of the war in Gaza, one confounding yet eye-opening proclamation escaped the headlines. Listing the motives for the Palestinian militant group's Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, he accused Jews of "bringing red cows" to the Holy Land.

September 24, 2017, 10:45:16 pm Psalm 51:17 says: The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the league rulebook. It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”
September 20, 2017, 04:32:32 am Christian40 says: "The most popular Hepatitis B vaccine is nothing short of a witch’s brew including aluminum, formaldehyde, yeast, amino acids, and soy. Aluminum is a known neurotoxin that destroys cellular metabolism and function. Hundreds of studies link to the ravaging effects of aluminum. The other proteins and formaldehyde serve to activate the immune system and open up the blood-brain barrier. This is NOT a good thing."

Today's Show: BRANSON, THE BIBLE & JOHN 14

Chris discusses the recent World View Weekend family reunion in Branson, Missouri this past weekend with some of the highlights of the experience -- including many discussions on the authority of the Bible as the inspired Word of God.  Has America turned completely away from this belief?  And if so, why?  Also discussed is John Chapter 14 which contains one of the most important Scripture verses for the time in which we live.

Today's Show: THE MYTH OF CHRISTIAN MARTYRDOM?

Chris discusses a new book by a Notre Dame professor who claims that -- despite what the Church has believed for 2000 years -- Christians were never persecuted by Rome in the early centuries.  As is typical with such claims, it is said there is "no evidence" of a systematic attempt to hunt and kill Christians prior to the Edict of Milan in 313 A.D.  Could this be true?  What's more is that the author, Candida Moss, uses this argument as a political weapon against conservative Christian politics.  Her argument is that Christians have used the "myth" of Christian martyrdom to advance their political ambitions, and that this has been true from the beginning.  But is her book really history?  Or part of an agenda?

Today's Show: THE DECEPTIVE HISTORY OF CANDIDA MOSS

Chris continues his discussion of the book, "The Myth of Persecution: How Early Christians Invented a Story of Martyrdom," by Candida Moss, professor of New Testament history and Christian Origins at Notre Dame University.  Her book is, admittedly, written with a pointedly political purpose, by which she argues that modern Christians view all opposition to their beliefs as "persecution" because they believe in the early persecution of the Church.  In response, Dr. Moss attempts to refute the stories that Christians were persecuted for their faith -- despite two thousand years of history that contradicts her -- and has crafted clever arguments (described as "sophistry" by one reviewer) in a desperate attempt to justify her otherwise misleading title.

Today's Show: ORIGIN OF THE PAPACY

Chris responds to a comment from a Catholic listener concerning the martyrs in the first three centuries of Church history.  Were they Catholic?  Or was the Roman Catholic system developed centuries later?  Did early Christian writers consider the Church to have been founded on Peter?  Or upon the revelation that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God?  Also discussed are follow up comments concerning Cassie Bernall and the controversy over her martyrdom during the tragic Columbine shooting of 1999.

Today's Show: THE SALVATION OF POPE FRANCIS

Chris discusses a quote from the newly elected Pope Francis who said: "it is not possible to find Jesus outside the Church."  The rest of his quote makes it clear that the "church" in view is the Church of Rome.  But what about all the ecumenical dialogue?  What about Pope John Paul II referring to Billy Graham as his "brother," and meeting with Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, etc.?  During the Middle Ages, Pope Clement VI openly stated that all those who had refused to submit to Papal authority had "been damned and gone down to Hell."  While many evangelicals are given the impression that Rome has changed her apostate doctrines, this latest declaration from the Pope reveals the unchanged condition of the great harlot.
