Chris interviews Brannon Howse, the founder and president of World View Weekend.  They discuss Brannon's ministry work, and his books, "Grave Influence" and "Religious Trojan Horse."  Also discussed is the decline of Christianity in America and the reasons for it.  Are Communism and Socialism our country's greatest threat?  Or is it the ecumenical spirit of compromise that has diminished and betrayed the Gospel?

Today's Show: PALEOGRAPHY: SCIENCE OR PSEUDOSCIENCE?

 
Chris discusses more on the history of the Bible, and the manuscript evidence that has occupied so many arguments in modern times.  How do we know that the oldest manuscripts are so old?  How can we prove that later manuscripts were written at a later date?  The answer, we are told, is "paleographic evidence."  Yet few Christians realize that paleography is not an exact science, and in the opinion of some experts, it's conclusions should be questioned with greater scrutiny.  Most importantly, how has it affected our understanding of Scripture as the inspired Word of God?  With the Christian influence in America declining daily, is it possible that this so-called "science" plays a critical part in the effort to undermine the authority of the Bible?

Today's Show: MATTHEW TWENTY THREE

 
Chris discusses a recent comment from a Catholic listener on the understanding of Matthew 23, where Jesus tells His disciples to obey the scribes and Pharisees, because they sit in "Moses' seat."  The Church of Rome applies this scripture to themselves and argues that all Christians must obey the Pope, because he occupies a similar "seat."  But is this the case?  And was Jesus commanding that His followers must obey the teaching and commands of leaders, even if they violate the commandments of God?  Also discussed is an early twentieth century book on the infiltration of Rome into American schools -- could this be why our education system is on the verge of collapse?

Today's Show: CARBON 14 DATING & THE BIBLE

 
Chris follows up an earlier show about the issue of paleography and whether or not it can be called a true "science."  Some think that the dating of ancient manuscripts is done by chemical testing or by carbon 14 dating.  Yet, in reality, this manner of dating (which has a history of questionable results) is not typically used for dating Biblical manuscripts.  In fact, all of the primary manuscripts used for both the Traditional Greek text and the Critical Text that followed, were dated according to "handwriting analysis" (i.e. paleography) more than 50 years before carbon dating was ever developed.
