Today's Show: THE ANABAPTIST CONTROVERSY

Chris discusses an email from a listener who inquired about the often repeated allegation that the Reformers persecuted the Anabaptists for rejecting the doctrine of infant baptism.  But is this really the case?  Were the Anabaptists a non-violent, peace-loving group of believers who simply wanted to "re-baptize" others once they were old enough to fully understand the Gospel?  Or were they bloodthirsty, mass murdering radicals?  Friedrich Engels (co-author of the Communist Manifesto) claimed they had helped to lay the foundation for the Marxist revolutions of the 19th and 20th centuries.  Others claim they were martyred as heretics (most often) by the Church of Rome.  There is no question that history paints different portraits of exactly who the Anabaptists were.  But with this in mind, is it possible that a misunderstanding has occurred concerning the Reformers?

Today's Show: THE STRENGTH OF MAN

Today's Show: SAMUEL: A TRUE PROPHET OF GOD

Chris continues his study of the first book of Samuel, examining how the Lord raised up Samuel in the sight of ancient Israel, in such a way, that there was no question about whether he was a true prophet of God.  The Scripture says that "Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground."  Samuel would ultimately replace the wicked priesthood that had defiled the worship of the Lord, but his journey is one that provides lessons to us in our day as we seek to walk in the faith and obedience of Christ.
