Yes it was - just finished the 2nd one. Had no idea that the Jesuits would infiltrate their very own Catholic Church - so apparently, their intent is to NOT convert everyone to Catholicism, per se. For example, the RCC embraces socially conservative issues(ie-pro-life and anti-gay agenda). But the Jesuits have engineered the whole gay rights movement et al, and have engineered the Hegelian Dialectic in the whole gay marriage "debate"(ie-the gay marriage opponents haven't been any better, b/c they're almost always making demands like "*our* rights", which is no different from how the world behaves on pretty much anything). Ultimately, their intent is to get everyone to bow to the Pope of Rome, who looks like will be the False Prophet in Rev 13.

Also, the whole contemplative prayer movement came out of the Jesuits as well, which has swept pretty much all "Christian" denominations worldwide, including the Southern Baptist Convention.

As for the whole gay marriage "debate" - what looked like a sure-fire, hard-worked winner for the opponents 9 years ago, has now done a complete 180 degrees at this present day. Now the "opponent" leaders have toned down their rhetoric quite a bit, making it look like either they've backed off, or are hinting at being proponents.

22  And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
23  And he called them [unto him], and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
24  And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

Senior Catholic clerics weigh in on gay marriage

Religion plays a big role in individual and institutional decisions about same-sex marriage. Senior Roman Catholic clerics spoke out Sunday on TV news shows – expressing love and compassion but holding to the church's opposition to gay marriage.

3/31/13

Excerpt:

On several TV news shows Sunday morning, senior Roman Catholic clerics weighed in on the debate over gay marriage.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, says his church needs to be more welcoming of gay and lesbian Catholics.

"We gotta do better to see that our defense of marriage is not reduced to an attack on gay people,” he said on ABC's "This Week.” “And I admit, we haven't been too good at that.”

“Our major challenge is to continue in a credible way to present the eternal concerns to people in a timeless attractive way,” Cardinal Dolan said. “And sometimes there is a disconnect – between what they’re going through and what Jesus and his Church is teaching. And that’s a challenge for us.”

Asked what he’d say to a gay couple professing love for the church as well as for each other, Dolan replied:

“Well, the first thing I’d say to them is, ‘I love you, too. And God loves you. And you are made in God’s image and likeness. And we want your happiness. And you’re entitled to friendship.’ But we also know that God has told us that the way to happiness, especially when it comes to sexual love – that is intended only for a man and woman in marriage, where children can come about naturally.”

"The Catholic Church welcomes everyone," Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the Archbishop of Washington, said on "Fox News Sunday."

But Cardinal Wuerl acknowledged what may be a growing problem for the church.

"The only thing I worry about is someone saying to me, 'You, because you believe that sex is intended for marriage and because you believe that marriage is indissoluble and because you believe that marriage is between a man and a woman,' that somehow you don't belong here. That somehow, this is bigotry or this is hate speech,” he said. “That's what I worry about.”

"There has to be room enough in the society as large, as free and as pluralistic as America to make space for all of us," Wuerl said.

Appearing on Bloomberg’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” retired Archbishop of Washington Cardinal Theodore McCarrick said he has “no problem” with civil unions for gay couples that confer the same rights as marriage.”

“I certainly would prefer that” to what I could call ‘a marriage,’ in quotes,” Cardinal McCarrick said.

“Same-sex marriage is not at this point prevalent in our society, and probably won’t be” because gays are a minority, McCarrick told Bloomberg. Children whose parents divorce or are born out of wedlock, he said, “find themselves out on a limb,” which “is a serious problem in our society.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see, pure Jesuitical talk going on here - "This way, no that way, no the other way...", it's a lot like when you're traveling and you get lost, and the last thing you should do is go around asking some average joe the directions(b/c they almost always give you the wrong directions).

Tit 2:1  But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
Tit 2:2  That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

Although this article doesn't discuss the RCC/Jesuits, nonetheless you can see how the Jesuits's agendas over the LONG haul have brought down the foundation walls of this country...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/wp/2013/03/31/how-did-the-right-lose-on-gay-marriage/?wprss=rss_homepage
How did the right lose on gay marriage?
3/31/13

Social conservatives have lost the fight on gay marriage, even Rush Limbaugh observes. Regardless of the Supreme Court’s ruling, public opinion seems to have shifted irreversibly. How did it happen? Here are seven ways in which social conservatives fumbled the issue:

1. They never explained how same-sex marriage “harms” heterosexual marriage.

2. They confused their own beliefs with those of mainstream Republicans, who were far less ideological and, in fact, were following the general societal shift.

3. They did not drum out of their ranks anti-gay (as opposed to pro-traditional marriage) voices, who portrayed the entire movement as intolerant and exclusionary.

4. They had no logical objection to states’ popular referendums in favor of gay marriage. With no imperial judiciary to rail against, they were reduced to making an anti-democratic argument that voters couldn’t or shouldn’t be allowed to define marriage as they saw fit.

5. They ignored the plight of heterosexual marriage (soaring divorce rate, rise in single-person households), which made their defense of “traditional” marriage seem insincere.

6. As more gay and lesbian Americans came out to friends, family and co-workers, the anti-gay-marriage voices were handicapped; they argued against an issue in the abstract while gay-marriage proponents could argue that Mike and Sam down the street or Sue and Ann at the office shouldn’t be denied the right to marry.

7. They insisted on federalizing the issue with the Defense of Marriage Act, leading to the current Supreme Court case and turning federalism (usually a conservative cause) into an argument about federal meddling into marriage.

This is not to say that if the social conservatives opposed to gay marriage had only been more deft in their reaction to pro-marriage advocates they could have won the issue. Once marriage became an expression of personal fulfillment (rather than economic necessity or religious edict) for most Americans, the issue was likely lost as soon as gay and lesbian couples showed themselves to be in committed relationships and desirous of the same security and legal rights heterosexual couples enjoy.

Nevertheless, it is instructive for conservatives defending other positions and advancing other causes that certain appeals work (e.g., fairness, inclusion) and certain ones don’t (e.g., appeals to historical norms, religious imperatives) in an increasingly diverse, secular society.

It also should remind conservatives (national security hawks, for example) that they cannot assume a set of assumptions will last forever (e.g., marriage has a distinct religious meaning, international threats are obvious).

Any political principle has to be advanced, taught and supported assiduously or it will cease to carry weight. Living in a political bubble of right-wing media, in which everyone agrees with certain nostrums (e.g. marriage is between one man and one woman, no tax increase is good, we need to spend more on national defense), leaves the right vulnerable to shifts in opinion and outmaneuvered when new, persuasive voices enter the fray. Conservatives should take the gay marriage issue as a warning — and not just on hot-button social issues.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Titus 2:3  The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
Tit 2:4  That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
Tit 2:5  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Tit 2:6  Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
Tit 2:7  In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Tit 2:8  Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Here's another case which looks to have Jesuitical, Hegelian Dialectial talk written all over it. For one, where was all of their outrage when Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr appointed Sandra Day O'Conner, Anthony Kennedy, and David Souter to the high court? And two, why didn't these 2 state legislatures(Arkansas and North Dakota) pass laws to ban abortion COMPLETELY? So are they saying just b/c a 6 week life in the womb limit on abortion is considerably less wicked than regular abortions, it makes it not wicked? And 3, why are they waiting until NOW to take up this battle? Why weren't they yelling and hollering when George Jr was President for 8 years?

http://news.yahoo.com/rivals-prepare-legal-battle-over-abortion-bans-144901559.html
Rivals prepare for legal battle over abortion bans
3/31/13

Rival legal teams, well-financed and highly motivated, are girding for court battles over the coming months on laws enacted in Arkansas and North Dakota that would impose the nation's toughest bans on abortion.

For all their differences, attorneys for the two states and the abortion-rights supporters opposing them agree on this: The laws represent an unprecedented frontal assault on the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that established a nationwide right to abortion.

The Arkansas law, approved March 6 when legislators overrode a veto by Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe, would ban most abortions from the 12th week of pregnancy onward. On March 26, North Dakota went further, with Republican Gov. Jack Dalrymple signing a measure that would ban abortions as early as six weeks into a pregnancy, when a fetal heartbeat can first be detected and before some women even know they're pregnant.

Abortion-rights advocates plan to challenge both measures, contending they are unconstitutional violations of the Roe ruling that legalized abortion until a fetus could viably survive outside the womb. A fetus is generally considered viable at 22 to 24 weeks.

"I think they're going to be blocked immediately by the courts — they are so far outside the clear bounds of what the Supreme Court has said for 40 years," said Nancy Northup, president of the Center for Reproductive Rights.

The center will be leading the North Dakota legal challenge and working in Arkansas alongside the American Civil Liberties Union's state and national offices. Both Northup and ACLU lawyers say they have ample resources to wage the battles, and they expect victories that would require their attorneys' fees to be paid by two states.

Dalrymple, in signing the ban, acknowledged that its chances of surviving a court challenge were questionable, but said it was worth the eventual price tag — at this point unknown — in order to test the boundaries of Roe.

North Dakota's attorney general, Wayne Stenehjem, initially said lawyers from his office would defend any lawsuits but is now considering hiring outside help. His office is working on a cost estimate for the litigation that could be presented to lawmakers soon.

"We're looking at a sufficient amount to adequately defend these enactments," Stenehjem said.

A lead sponsor of the Arkansas ban, Republican state Sen. Jason Rapert, said threats of lawsuits "should not prevent someone from doing what is right."

He contended that the ban had a chance of reaching the U.S. Supreme Court through the appeals process and suggested that the victory predictions made by abortion-rights lawyers amounted to "posturing" aimed at deterring other states from enacting similar bans.

In both Arkansas and North Dakota, the states' lawyers will be getting pro bono assistance from lawyers with Liberty Counsel, a conservative Christian legal group.

Mathew Staver, the group's chairman, said supporters of the bans were resolved to fight the legal battles to the end, and issued a caution to the rival side.

"They ought to hold off on their celebrations," he said. "The cases have a long way to go through the court system."

The North Dakota ban is scheduled to take effect Aug. 1, along with two other measures that have angered abortion-rights backers. One would require abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a local hospital, the other would make North Dakota the first state to ban abortions based on genetic defects such as Down syndrome.

The Center for Reproductive Rights is reviewing its options regarding the latter two bills, but definitely plans to challenge the 6-week ban before Aug. 1. Northup said her team is pondering whether to file suit in state court or U.S. district court.

In Arkansas, where the 12-week ban would take effect 90 days after the end of the legislative session, abortion-rights lawyers plan to file their challenge in federal court within the next few weeks.

Bettina Brownstein, who will be representing the ACLU of Arkansas in the case, said the U.S. district court with jurisdiction over Little Rock had issued rulings in past abortion-related cases that gave her confidence of victory this time.

"Eventually it could go to U.S. Supreme Court on appeal, but that would take a while, and they may not want to hear it," she said. "It's a question of how much money the state wants to spend."

Northup chided officials in both Arkansas and North Dakota for their willingness to spend taxpayers' money on difficult and divisive legal cases.

"It's important that the citizens of those states realize that every dollar spent to defend blatantly unconstitutional laws is taxpayers' dollars wasted," she said.

Attorneys' fees for the upcoming cases are impossible to estimate at this stage, but Northup said her organization received $1.3 million in fees from Alaska after that state lost a recent case regarding an abortion-related law.

The last few years have been intensely busy for the Center for Reproductive Rights, the ACLU and other abortion-rights legal groups as Republican-controlled legislatures have enacted scores of laws seeking to restrict access to abortion. At least two dozen such measures are currently the target of lawsuits, said Northup, who vowed that her organization "will not let unconstitutional laws go unchallenged."

Some of the recent laws place new requirements on abortion clinics, others require abortion providers to perform certain procedures or offer state-mandated counseling before an abortion can take place.

At least 10 states have passed bills banning abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy on the disputed premise that a fetus can feel pain at that stage. One of those laws, in Idaho, was struck down by a U.S. district judge on March 6, while the laws in Georgia and Arizona have been temporarily blocked by judges pending further court proceedings.

Abortion-rights advocates, while eager to defeat the new bans in North Dakota and Arkansas, worry about the impact of the broader surge of restrictions.

"I don't believe these bans are going to take effect, but the danger is that they make the other laws look reasonable," said Talcott Camp, deputy director of the ACLU's Reproductive Freedom Project. "The ultimate goal is to take this decision away from a woman and her doctor and give it to the politicians."

One of the most frequent targets of the anti-abortion laws is the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, which — in addition to providing a range of other health services — is the nation's leading provider of abortions.

Planned Parenthood's president, Cecile Richards, said she found it frustrating that women "continue to be a political punching bag." But she saw an upside to the wave of anti-abortion legislation: more members and more donations for her organization.

"These attacks have served to energize our supporters," she said. "We've gained 2 million members in the past two years."

There's new energy on the other side as well.

The tough North Dakota laws have been welcomed by the protesters who gather weekly in Fargo outside the state's lone abortion clinic.

Among those on hand for the latest protest at the Red River Women's Clinic was Scott Carew, 50, who had brought two anti-abortion posters nailed to pieces of wood.

"Certainly, we're proud of the governor standing up for life," Carew said. "We're going to keep standing up for life until we can't stand up anymore."

^^ Info on the Liberty Council law firm representing Arkansas and North Dakota...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Counsel
Liberty Counsel is a non-profit public interest law firm and ministry that provides free legal assistance in defense of "Christian religious liberty, the sanctity of human life, and the traditional family."[1] Liberty Counsel is headed by attorney Mathew D. Staver, who founded the legal ministry with his wife, Anita, in 1989 and currently serves as its Chairman. Anita L. Staver, his wife, serves as President of Liberty Counsel. A close partnership exists between Liberty University, which was founded by the Rev. Jerry Falwell, and Liberty Counsel; Staver serves as Liberty University's law school Dean.[1] In 2004, Liberty Counsel became affiliated with Liberty University/Falwell Ministries and Liberty Counsel opened an office at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Liberty Counsel describes its practice as a First Amendment practice, focused on religious liberties, freedom of speech, church/state issues in public schools and in the public square.

Goals and positions
Liberty Counsel has established its goals revolving around influencing policy and providing courts with the legal rationale to develop precedent favorable to its mission. Although Liberty Counsel has said in the past that its central goal is to educate both its membership and public officials about its view on the role of religion in public life, it now states that its primary goal is to influence policy.[2]

Today's Show: THE SECRET OATH OF THE JESUITS

One of the most chilling aspects of the Society of Jesus is the Induction and Extreme oath of the Jesuits, as they enter into the higher levels of the order.  The oath has been quoted by Protestant ministers for hundreds of years, and provided as a warning of the diabolical intent of the Counter Reformation.  A short time ago, John MacArthur made reference to the oath when preaching about the election of the new Pope Francis -- the first Jesuit Pope in history.  Yet many Catholics object to the oath, claiming that there is no evidence of it prior to 1913.  But is this true?  Others claim the oath has been debunked as a complete forgery.  But what is their source?  Are these objections credible?  Or are they yet more examples of Rome attempting to re-write history, in order to cover up the deeds of her past and her plans for the future?

Today's Show: LINCOLN, THE MOVIE: A GAY PROPAGANDA FILM?

Chris discusses the Academy Award winning film, "Lincoln" by Steven Spielberg, analyzing how it has been interpreted by liberals and conservatives alike.  The left wing of American politics has for years tried to associate Barack Obama with great presidents, FDR and Lincoln being among them.  Spielberg's film was written by a homosexual, and focuses on events surrounding the passage of the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery in the United States.  To accomplish this, Spielberg gives us the impression that Lincoln needed to exercise his "immense power" as president and comes close, at times, to violating Constitutional Law.  Was the film sending a message to President Obama on the issue of gay marriage?  Incredibly, there are those who certainly think so.

Today's Show: THROWING OFF THE MASK?

Chris discusses current events through the lens of historian J.A. Wylie, who wrote about
the subversive movements assailing England and Europe in the Middle Ages.  As the powers that worked to subvert Christianity -- both politically and theologically -- grew in their influence, they sooner or later cast away all pretense and unleashed an all out assault against those who were faithful to Christ.  Could this be what's happening in our country today?  Are the dark powers at work preparing to cast aside their cloaks of deception and reveal their full intentions?

Here's another example of Jesuit infiltration into even their own RCC institutions. No, I don't endorse anything that has got to do with the RCC, period, but nonetheless here's another example of these schemes of the Jesuits even on their own...

http://news.yahoo.com/catholic-gonzaga-university-won-t-allow-catholic-students-063214239.html
Catholic Gonzaga University won’t allow Catholic students to form Catholic group
4/6/13

Roman Catholic, Jesuit-affiliated Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington has refused to recognize the Knights of Columbus as an official student group because — wait for it — the Knights of Columbus is a Catholic organization.

Gonzaga administrators notified the students who had sought the school’s official seal of approval last month, reports The Cardinal Newman Society’s Catholic Education Daily.

“The Knights of Columbus, by their very nature, is a men’s organization in which only Catholics may participate via membership,” reads a letter written by Sue Weitz, vice president for student life. “These criteria are inconsistent with the policy and practice of student organization recognition at Gonzaga University.”

Right here seems like a sufficiently good place to observe that Gonzaga is under the umbrella of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) — a men’s organization in which only Catholic men may participate via membership.

Anyway, Weitz’s letter went on to explain that she feels “strongly” about Gonzaga’s “commitment to non-discrimination and inclusivity” and is troubled by the fact that “all members of a student Knights of Columbus group must be Catholic.”

“If Gonzaga was an institution that served only Catholics and limited the benefits of the collegiate experience only to them, the decision-making process may have been different,” she also opined. “To embrace the diversity and yet endorse a group based on faith exclusivity is a challenge that cannot be reconciled at this time.”

Weitz did not respond to queries from Catholic Education Daily.

The Knights of Columbus, founded in 1882 by a Connecticut priest, is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization.

A student-organized Knights of Columbus branch was successfully established at Gonzaga in 1999. At some unspecified point thereafter, though, the group’s officially-sanctioned status lapsed.

There also appears to be a building on Gonzaga’s campus named after the Knights of Columbus. According to the GU Bulldog Blog, the bland, brick edifice houses a members-only bar called the Christopher Columbus Club. Members must pay a $20 fee, get referred by another member and be at least 21 years old. (There’s also free food involved, and a t-shirt.)

The students seeking to resurrect the Knights of Columbus at Gonzaga spoke — anonymously — to The Catholic Daily. They said they are now weighing other options. One alternative is to form a group that is wholly separate from the school. Another possibility might be to establish a Knights of Columbus student group as part of the campus ministry.

Here's probably another example(IMHO, that is) - not only this, but a few states like this are also passing other measures like tightening abortion laws, loosing gun restrictions, etc...pt being that why are they waiting until NOW to do this? Why didn't they do anything about any of this when Bush Jr was President for 8 years?

Prov_12:5  The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

Prov_24:24  He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:

Prov_29:2  When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

http://news.yahoo.com/democrats-lose-fight-montana-senate-over-ballot-measures-051453734.html
Democrats lose fight in Montana Senate over ballot measures
4/6/13

HELENA, Mont (Reuters) - Over loud objections from Democrats, Montana's Republican-controlled Senate on Friday voted to put proposals on the 2014 ballot that would tighten voter registration and restrict the rights of third parties to compete in general elections.

The measures, which are expected to be approved by the Republican-majority House, do not need approval from the Democratic governor. They would go before Montana voters in November of next year.

Democrats tried to stall action on the bills through a rarely used parliamentary procedure, demanding that the vote be delayed until a missing Democratic senator was found and brought into the chamber.

But Republicans moved forward anyway, prompting Democrats to leap to their feet, shout objections and pound on their desks with everything from coffee mugs to copies of the Montana constitution.

"We did what we had to do and it's done," said Senate Majority Leader Art Wittich.

"I'm saddened by what we saw today - it's worse than Washington, D.C.," Governor Steve Bullock said. "I'm not embarrassed by men and women demanding a right to speak - I'm disappointed by those who denied it."

The measures would ask voters to eliminate same-day voter registration, and put in place a new primary election system that only allows the two political parties that get the most votes in the primaries to be on the ballot in the general election.

Both are seen as benefiting Republicans. Third parties have acted as spoilers for some Republican candidates in recent elections. Same-day voter registration is considered a plus for Democrats.

Any ballot-measure bills that pass the Montana Legislature with a simple majority of both chambers move right to a public vote, bypassing the governor's office.

Doesn't really matter if the president's new personal elections review panel has it's say. All these local changes will become moot.

Today's Show: REMEMBERING DAVE HUNT

As many in our audience now know, Dave Hunt went to be with the Lord this past
Friday, April 5, 2013.  Chris remembers his own experience interviewing Dave back in
August of the year 2000 for the documentary, "Megiddo: The March to Armageddon."
In this special one-hour show, Chris plays exclusive, never-before-heard interview clips
of Dave speaking about his research into Bible prophecy, the end of the world, and the
new age/occult doctrines that have infiltrated the churches.  Dave also speaks about
his own life, and the purpose of The Berean Call ministry.

Today's Show: WAS KING JAMES A HOMOSEXUAL?

Recently, the gay community produced "The Queen James Bible" -- one of the latest perversions of the Scripture, supposedly titled after the nick-name of King James I of England, who is rumored to have been a homosexual in his lifetime.  But is this rumor true?  Are there historical facts to back it up?  Chris discusses the research of Dr. Phil Stringer, pastor of the Ravenswood Baptist Church in Chicago, who argues that the 17th century monarch (for whom the King James Bible was named) has been falsely accused and slandered by both gays and evangelicals alike.   Was King James ever identified as a homosexual by those who knew him?  Or was this an accusation "manufactured" by his enemies after his death?

Today's Show: KEEPING THE SABBATH

The debate over the Fourth Commandment is most definitely alive and well in churches today, with many professing believers claiming that obedience to the Saturday Sabbath of the Old Testament law is still required under the New Covenant.  But is this the case?  The claim is made by a variety of groups, but most often by the Seventh Day Adventist Church, which is known for its many references to the Protestant Reformation and the teachings of the Reformers against Rome.  Yet did any of the Reformers believe in keeping a Saturday Sabbath?  It is also said that the ancient Waldenses kept the Sabbath, but is there any historical proof to support this assertion?  Chris discusses the answers to these questions both Biblically and historically.

Today's Show: THE DEATH OF BRENNAN MANNING

The author of the best-selling book, "The Ragamuffin Gospel" died on Friday, April 12th.  Brennan Manning was a Franciscan (Catholic) priest who wrote a series of books that have been embraced by Evangelicals across the country.  His "Ragamuffin Gospel" has been called a Christian classic and inspired many well known artists and musicians, such as Rich Mullins who named his Ragamuffin Band after the book.  But what did Manning -- a struggling alcoholic who once lied to Christianity Today about helping people during the Hurricane Katrina disaster -- really teach?  Did he promote the love of Christ?  Or give license to immoral behavior?

Today's Show: FRANKENSTEIN & THE FRENCH REVOLUTION

Chris discusses the well known story of "Frankenstein," told and retold by Hollywood in a variety of movies, spoofs and spin-offs.  But how many people are aware that its original author, Mary Shelley, wrote the book as an allegory of the French Revolution?  And that the principles of that movement would be embraced by the Communists and Socialists of the 19th and 20th centuries?  As we witness Marxism on the rise in America, are there lessons from this classic tale to give us guidance in our country today?

Today's Show: HOMOSEXUALS ADMIT DESIRE TO DESTROY MARRIAGE

Chris discusses a new story reported by the Illinois Family Institute, exposing the statement of a homosexual activist who admits that the true purpose of the Gay Marriage controversy is to ultimately destroy marriage altogether.  One of the tactics employed by homosexuals and their supporters is to argue that the Bible nowhere condemns the behavior of sodomy.  While word games are often employed to mis-interpret certain passages, is it possible for anyone to refute Romans chapter one?  Can it be said that the warnings of this chapter are indeed happening in our country today?

Today's Show: THE MAJORITY TEXT OF THE BIBLE

Prior to the 20th century, it was generally believed that the Traditional Greek text of the Protestant Reformation represented the majority readings of the ancient Greek manuscripts.  But this impression changed through the 20th century with the discovery of additional texts.  We often hear references to the "majority text" of the Greek New Testament, but what exactly does this mean?  Does the majority really include most manuscripts?  Or just a selective few that have been organized to give a false  impression?  Chris discusses the details of the controversy.

Today's Show: GUN CONTROL & THE ST. BARTHOLOMEW'S DAY MASSACRE

Chris discusses the most recent development in the ongoing gun control debate, as the U.S. Senate denied the advancement of a bill drafted in response to the Sandy Hook tragedy in Connecticut earlier this year.  Also discussed is the St. Bartholomew Day's Massacre of 1572 -- one of history's many reminders of what can happen when the common people are disarmed.  As Charles H. Spurgeon related in the 19th century, the terrible bloodshed that was carried out on the eve of St. Bartholomew's in Paris was not a singular event, but represents a legacy of murder that spans the 1200 year history of the Church of Rome.

Today's Show: THE PROTESTANT INQUISITION?

For years, when the history of Rome's atrocities against Bible believing Protestants was mentioned, the typical response would be that Protestants were supposedly just as guilty as Catholics of persecution and bloodshed.  Now, a growing number of Catholic websites are reporting the "Protestant Inquisition" against Catholics in history.  But is this true?  Have Catholics been wronged by Protestant countries simply because of their faith in Rome?  Or have they been punished for their acts of treason and murder?

Chris discusses the recent World View Weekend family reunion in Branson, Missouri this past weekend with some of the highlights of the experience -- including many discussions on the authority of the Bible as the inspired Word of God.  Has America turned completely away from this belief?  And if so, why?  Also discussed is John Chapter 14 which contains one of the most important Scripture verses for the time in which we live.

Today's Show: THE MYTH OF CHRISTIAN MARTYRDOM?

Chris discusses a new book by a Notre Dame professor who claims that -- despite what the Church has believed for 2000 years -- Christians were never persecuted by Rome in the early centuries.  As is typical with such claims, it is said there is "no evidence" of a systematic attempt to hunt and kill Christians prior to the Edict of Milan in 313 A.D.  Could this be true?  What's more is that the author, Candida Moss, uses this argument as a political weapon against conservative Christian politics.  Her argument is that Christians have used the "myth" of Christian martyrdom to advance their political ambitions, and that this has been true from the beginning.  But is her book really history?  Or part of an agenda?

Today's Show: THE DECEPTIVE HISTORY OF CANDIDA MOSS

Chris continues his discussion of the book, "The Myth of Persecution: How Early Christians Invented a Story of Martyrdom," by Candida Moss, professor of New Testament history and Christian Origins at Notre Dame University.  Her book is, admittedly, written with a pointedly political purpose, by which she argues that modern Christians view all opposition to their beliefs as "persecution" because they believe in the early persecution of the Church.  In response, Dr. Moss attempts to refute the stories that Christians were persecuted for their faith -- despite two thousand years of history that contradicts her -- and has crafted clever arguments (described as "sophistry" by one reviewer) in a desperate attempt to justify her otherwise misleading title.

Chris responds to a comment from a Catholic listener concerning the martyrs in the first three centuries of Church history.  Were they Catholic?  Or was the Roman Catholic system developed centuries later?  Did early Christian writers consider the Church to have been founded on Peter?  Or upon the revelation that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God?  Also discussed are follow up comments concerning Cassie Bernall and the controversy over her martyrdom during the tragic Columbine shooting of 1999.

Today's Show: THE SALVATION OF POPE FRANCIS

Chris discusses a quote from the newly elected Pope Francis who said: "it is not possible to find Jesus outside the Church."  The rest of his quote makes it clear that the "church" in view is the Church of Rome.  But what about all the ecumenical dialogue?  What about Pope John Paul II referring to Billy Graham as his "brother," and meeting with Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, etc.?  During the Middle Ages, Pope Clement VI openly stated that all those who had refused to submit to Papal authority had "been damned and gone down to Hell."  While many evangelicals are given the impression that Rome has changed her apostate doctrines, this latest declaration from the Pope reveals the unchanged condition of the great harlot.

Chris interviews Brannon Howse, the founder and president of World View Weekend.  They discuss Brannon's ministry work, and his books, "Grave Influence" and "Religious Trojan Horse."  Also discussed is the decline of Christianity in America and the reasons for it.  Are Communism and Socialism our country's greatest threat?  Or is it the ecumenical spirit of compromise that has diminished and betrayed the Gospel?

Today's Show: PALEOGRAPHY: SCIENCE OR PSEUDOSCIENCE?

Chris discusses more on the history of the Bible, and the manuscript evidence that has occupied so many arguments in modern times.  How do we know that the oldest manuscripts are so old?  How can we prove that later manuscripts were written at a later date?  The answer, we are told, is "paleographic evidence."  Yet few Christians realize that paleography is not an exact science, and in the opinion of some experts, it's conclusions should be questioned with greater scrutiny.  Most importantly, how has it affected our understanding of Scripture as the inspired Word of God?  With the Christian influence in America declining daily, is it possible that this so-called "science" plays a critical part in the effort to undermine the authority of the Bible?

Today's Show: MATTHEW TWENTY THREE

Chris discusses a recent comment from a Catholic listener on the understanding of Matthew 23, where Jesus tells His disciples to obey the scribes and Pharisees, because they sit in "Moses' seat."  The Church of Rome applies this scripture to themselves and argues that all Christians must obey the Pope, because he occupies a similar "seat."  But is this the case?  And was Jesus commanding that His followers must obey the teaching and commands of leaders, even if they violate the commandments of God?  Also discussed is an early twentieth century book on the infiltration of Rome into American schools -- could this be why our education system is on the verge of collapse?

Today's Show: CARBON 14 DATING & THE BIBLE

Chris follows up an earlier show about the issue of paleography and whether or not it can be called a true "science."  Some think that the dating of ancient manuscripts is done by chemical testing or by carbon 14 dating.  Yet, in reality, this manner of dating (which has a history of questionable results) is not typically used for dating Biblical manuscripts.  In fact, all of the primary manuscripts used for both the Traditional Greek text and the Critical Text that followed, were dated according to "handwriting analysis" (i.e. paleography) more than 50 years before carbon dating was ever developed.

Today's Show: ROME'S NEW AMERICAN BIBLE

Chris discusses a Bible sent to him by a listener, one officially approved by the Roman Catholic Church.  Incredibly, some of the commentaries in the "Encyclopedic Dictionary" found in the back of this Bible reveal the true heart of Rome where the authority of the Scriptures is concerned.  Where does the Catholic Church stand on the subject of evolution?  And what is the number one book listed on her "INDEX OF FORBIDDEN BOOKS"?  For those who engage in ecumenical dialogue with Rome, the answer to this question may be surprising.

Today's Show: A CONVERSATION WITH MORMON MISSIONARIES

Chris discusses a recent encounter with Mormon missionaries who came to his front door to discuss their faith, which provided an opportunity to question them about what they really believe.  Do Mormons really think that God was once a man named "Elohim" who lives on the planet Kolob?  And do they really wear holy undergarments covered with Masonic symbols?  And perhaps most importantly, do Mormons really believe that they are progressing into god-hood?  Chris has the answers -- direct from two Missionaries of the LDS Church.

Today's Show: WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

Chris responds to a recent series of comments about how to define the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  While most believers know that the word "Gospel" means "good news," exactly how is it defined according to the Scriptures?  Can a person say that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved? (Romans 10:9)  Is that the Gospel?  According to one listener, the answer is no.  Part of his contention has come about due to an article written by a self-described "Hyper-Calvinist" who says that those who are teaching that a person must be "born again" are "false gospel preachers" and "antichrists."  But how does such a radical view measure up against the Word of God?

Today's Show: REPENTANCE

Chris discusses an ongoing controversy among some ministers who argue that to teach repentance and faith (rather than faith alone) amounts to works-based salvation.  Is this the case?  Does a person need to repent in order to receive salvation?  Or can they be saved by faith in Christ -- without repenting of sin?  Jesus said "... except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3).  But does this really apply to all?  Are some able to skip over repentance and just believe?  Or must a person be regenerated first before they can repent?  Incredibly, the debates concerning these things are quite heated.  Some preachers are even calling it heresy to preach repentance to lost souls, warning that this is leading to a great falling away in the church.  But what does the Scripture say?

Today's Show: ROB BELL: A DISCIPLE OF HELL?

Chris discusses the latest announcement of former evangelical pastor, Rob Bell who has declared that God is moving the Church toward the acceptance of homosexual marriage.  This is the latest from Bell, whose book "Love Wins" taught that ultimately nobody goes to Hell, and that everyone will end up in heaven sooner or later -- regardless of whether they have believed the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  When Jesus reproved the Pharisees, He said to them: "... ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves." (Matt. 23:15)  Is Rob Bell leading souls to Hell?  Is he a child of Hell himself?  And what will the acceptance of so-called "homosexual Christianity" do to the Church and America?

Today's Show: APOLLOS & THE JESUITS

Chris discusses the Biblical ministry work of Apollos, a powerful defender of the Gospel who is remembered in Acts chapter 18.  But what exactly was his ministry?  And how did he help those who had already believed?  Also discussed are the upcoming symposiums of the Jesuits, who are arguing "Globalism and Marginalization."  But what do they mean?  And how does this impact our country and the current march toward a one world system of government and theology?  Furthermore, how should Christians respond to these conflicts; is it useful to engage in cultural debates?  Or should we proclaim the righteousness of Christ, and warn this lost and dying world that they have violated the commandments of the Most High God?

Today's Show: MARK -- THE SHORT ENDING (REVISED)

Chris discusses the last twelve verses of the Gospel of Mark, and whether or not they should be included in the Bible.  For the past 150 years, critical scholars have argued that these verses were not a part of the original autographs.  But what do they base their claim on?  The unbelieving community often seizes upon this debate to argue that the Resurrection of Christ never really happened, since it is detailed in the longer ending of Mark's gospel.  But are those verses needed to defend the fact that Jesus rose from the dead?  And how should Christians view the footnote in their Bibles telling them that those verses are not found in the "oldest and most reliable" manuscripts? (Note to our listeners: We apologize that previously this show was lacking the audio clip from Dr. Scot McKendrick -- however, the problem has now been fixed.  The current show contains the full audio.)

Today's Show: POPE DECLARES ATHEISTS ARE REDEEMED

Chris discusses the most recent heresy coming from Rome, as Pope Francis has ventured into new ecumenical territory.  Now the Pope says that even Atheists are redeemed by Christ -- in spite of their unbelief and lack of repentance -- provided they do "good works."  The Huffington Post reported on the story and declared that this new controversy would likely stir up old divisions from the Protestant Reformation, where salvation by grace was argued against Rome's doctrine of works righteousness.  Also discussed is a recent development in Croatia that has come about, in part, because of our film, "The Kinsey Syndrome."  Some may remember how we reported that Croatian journalist, Karolina Kristo was attacked shortly after she showed scenes of our film on Croatian TV.  An uproar followed, because of her report, since people realized that their children were going to be conditioned through a new sex education program based on the research of Alfred Kinsey, who has been called a "sexual psychopath" by Dr. Judith Reisman.  Now, months later, the Croatian Supreme court has officially ruled that the sex education program is unconstitutional, and must be stopped immediately.  Praise the Lord!

Today's Show: SALVATION FOR ATHEISTS? (PART II)

Chris follows up on the story that has created theological buzz around the world, when Pope Francis declared that Christ's death on the cross "redeemed EVERYONE ... even Atheists."  Yet in the backlash of these comments, Catholic apologists have been scrambling to create arguments in support of what the Pope has said, even claiming that his comments were nothing new in terms of Catholic theology, and that this is what the "Church" has always believed.  But did the Pope suggest that if Atheists repent of their unbelief and put faith in Christ, they will be saved?  Or did he declare that they are already saved, and only need to do good works?

Chris discusses 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, dealing with the great falling away from the faith -- otherwise known as "the Apostasy" -- which is one of the earmarks of the last days and precedes the appearance of the Man of Sin.  The apostle Paul warned that because men would not receive the love of the truth, they would fall under a strong delusion sent from God, which would compel them to believe falsehood.  Can we see images of these things in our world today?  Are there warning signs around us?

Yep, that is taking place right before our very eyes, and in some rather surprising places! False prophets are making their mark with the deceived.

Chris discusses an email from a listener who inquired about the often repeated allegation that the Reformers persecuted the Anabaptists for rejecting the doctrine of infant baptism.  But is this really the case?  Were the Anabaptists a non-violent, peace-loving group of believers who simply wanted to "re-baptize" others once they were old enough to fully understand the Gospel?  Or were they bloodthirsty, mass murdering radicals?  Friedrich Engels (co-author of the Communist Manifesto) claimed they had helped to lay the foundation for the Marxist revolutions of the 19th and 20th centuries.  Others claim they were martyred as heretics (most often) by the Church of Rome.  There is no question that history paints different portraits of exactly who the Anabaptists were.  But with this in mind, is it possible that a misunderstanding has occurred concerning the Reformers?

Today's Show: BILDERBERGS & KEN HAM

Chris discusses the upcoming 2013 Bilderberg meeting that begins this week at the Grove Hotel in Watford, England.  The Bilderberg Group is believed to be comprised of international elitists who are continually working on building a New World Order.  But what is their origin, and the power behind their agenda?  Also discussed is a recent article by Ken Ham, in which he confronts a Roman Catholic professor who says Christians must either embrace evolution or be "marginalized" in the years to come.

Today's Show: THE STRENGTH OF MAN

Chris discusses 1 Samuel chapters one and two, where we read that "... for by strength shall no man prevail."  This lesson is learned through the story of Hannah, the mother of Samuel, who spent years of her life as a barren woman, while also being afflicted by her adversary.  Her story provides a powerful lesson for all believers who cry out to God for help and deliverance.

Today's Show: SAMUEL: A TRUE PROPHET OF GOD

Chris continues his study of the first book of Samuel, examining how the Lord raised up Samuel in the sight of ancient Israel, in such a way, that there was no question about whether he was a true prophet of God.  The Scripture says that "Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground."  Samuel would ultimately replace the wicked priesthood that had defiled the worship of the Lord, but his journey is one that provides lessons to us in our day as we seek to walk in the faith and obedience of Christ.

Today's Show: ATHEISTS & DARWIN
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_ATHEISM.DARWIN_06.11.13.mp3

Chris discusses a new development with the American Atheists, who are now building a monument in Florida to counter a Ten Commandments monument outside a courthouse.  While their original desire was to remove the monument, the compromise has been reached, allowing for the nation's first Atheist monument, which will be erected for the specific purpose of refuting the Bible and the Christian faith.  The rise of Atheism as a movement is virtually unknown prior to modern history, and can be directly traced to the teaching of Darwinism.  How are these ideas being used as weapons against the Gospel?  And what lessons from history and the Bible must believers take into consideration when fighting the good fight of faith?

Today's Show: MARTIN LUTHER ON ANTICHRIST
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_LUTHER.ON.ANTICHRIST_06.12.13.mp3

Chris discusses the progression of the understanding of Martin Luther concerning his belief that the Pope was the Antichrist prophesied in Scripture.  Interestingly, it is not something Luther had always believed, and he admitted that as a monk he had zealously defended papal authority.  Yet after the publication of his 95 Theses against the sale of indulgences, and witnessing the stubborn opposition of the Pope to the teachings of Scripture, his views changed and he was convicted that the Papacy represented the very enemy of Christ Himself.  Luther defined as "antichrist" any person or belief that opposed the Gospel of salvation.  But are the principles he argued are still pertinent for the Church today?

Today's Show: LUTHER ON THE PAPAL ANTICHRIST (PART II)
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_LUTHER.ANTICHRIST.TWO_06.13.13.mp3

Chris continues his discussion on Martin Luther's view of the Antichrist, and how he believed its full culmination was manifest in the Papacy.  This had also been the view of John Wycliffe and Jan Huss, which was well known throughout Europe.  It was also the belief of the Waldenses.  But whereas those who had come before preached against the wickedness lives of the Popes, Luther focused on the doctrines taught by Rome.  In our modern world of ecumenical compromise, what lessons can we learn from Luther and others who have come before us?

Today's Show: HOMOSEXUALS IN THE VATICAN
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_HOMOSEXUALS.IN.VATICAN_06.14.13.mp3

Chris discusses the recent comments by Pope Francis that the homosexual lobbyists are working inside the Vatican in Rome.  The Pope has called it part of a "stream of corruption," and admits that homosexuals are influencing Vatican affairs.  The story follows earlier reports concerning Angelo Balducci (the Papal Usher, responsible for introducing heads of state to the Pope) who was involved in hiring homosexual prostitutes.  When Pope Benedict XVI resigned earlier this year, it was asserted that homosexual scandals involving blackmail had something to do with it.  With all this, a growing number of Catholic colleges and universities are showing their support for gay marriage and the homosexual lifestyle overall.  But is the immoral influence in Rome a modern anomaly?  Or is it the climax of her centuries-old rebellion against God?

Today's Show: WALID SHOEBAT: CRUSADES & HISTORY
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_WALID.SHOEBAT_06.14.13.mp3

Chris discusses a recent article posted by Walid Shoebat, a former Muslim brotherhood member who claims he is now a Christian and a peace activist.  His article is titled: "Them Damned Catholics."  The article is as abrasive as his title, and is aimed against the Protestant Evangelical view of Rome and the history of the Church.  In short, Shoebat's argument is that God "chose" Catholic armies to fight against the Islamic threats against Europe ... in other words, without the Catholics, the rest of Europe would have been given over to Islam.  But is this necessarily the case?  Why is it that the Muslims were repeatedly attacking Catholic countries?  Why didn't they attack Protestants?  Furthermore, if the Catholic armies could not defeat Protestant England, would the Muslim invaders have had any chance?  And do Protestants owe a debt of thanks to Rome for her battles against Islam?  Or was Rome being chastised by God for fighting against the true Gospel?

Today's Show: CATHOLICS & SAMARITANS
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_CATHOLICS.AND.SAMARITANS_06.15.13.mp3

Chris discusses the view of some of the Reformers that the apostasy of Rome is very much like that of the ancient Samaritans, who combined the worship of Judaism with Pagan practices.  This comparison was made by John Calvin, in particular.  But what lessons can we learn from Scripture as a result?  Why did Jesus tell the parable of the "Good Samaritan"?  Why did He reach out to the Samaritan woman at the well?  While opposing apostasy and error, it is important that we consider the whole counsel of God, and remember that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:Cool, and he that loves another has fulfilled the law (Romans 13:10).  With these things in mind, should Evangelicals consider that Catholics may be the Samaritans of the modern age?

Today's Show: MARTIN LUTHER ON ISLAM
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_LUTHER.ISLAM_06.18.13.mp3

Chris continues an earlier discussion pertaining to the teachings of Walid Shoebat. whose assertion is that the Antichrist will come through Islam, and that the Mark of the Beast is a reference to Islamic symbolism.  Believe it or not, this teaching is not completely new but was considered during the time of the Protestant Reformation, and was actually discussed by Martin Luther.  Luther famously believed that the Pope was the Antichrist, yet he saw prophetic fulfillment in the rise of Islam in Eastern Europe.  How did he contrast Rome with the Turks?  And what can we learn from his teachings today?

Today's Show: VICARIUS FILII DEI
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_VICARIUS.FILII.DEI_06.20.13.mp3

Chris accepts the challenge of a Catholic listener who claims that the title, Vicar of the Son of God (Vicarius Filii Dei) is not an official title of the Pope.  The controversy comes over the centuries-old assertion that this title is proof that the Pope is the Antichrist foretold in Revelation 13:18, since the numerical equivalent of this title is 666 -- according to the Latin gematria.  The title is clearly used for the Pope in the Donation of Constantine during the Middle Ages.  Yet today, most scholars agree that the "Donation" was an ancient forgery.  But does this get the Pope off the hook?  Is there proof that this title is used in a variety of other places in both ancient and modern times?

Today's Show: THE CHRISTIAN MINORITY
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_CHRISTIAN.MINORITY_06.21.13.mp3

Chris discusses several recent stories which are reporting that Christians in the United States and England are becoming a "hated minority" because of their resistance to issues such as homosexual marriage and other "reforms" that society seems determined to make.  But is this something for Bible believers to be concerned about?  Should we expect that the greater population will agree with the commandments of God, or with the Gospel?  Nearly 500 years ago, Martin Luther wrote: "... it is nothing new that the whole mass of people, together with all the persons of rank of distinction, are in error and protect the cause that is wrong."  Are these words for our time?  And what saith the Scripture?

Today's Show: ROME & ISLAM

Chris discusses a new story concerning Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, who went to meet with Muslims in a New York City mosque, telling them that Catholics and Muslims pray to the same "god," and declaring that Islam stands for religious freedom.  This is undoubtedly in keeping with the ecumenical dialogue Rome has pursued since Vatican Council II, and is a step in the direction of a one world religion.  Earlier this year, Pope Francis stirred controversy by washing the feet of a Muslim woman who was imprisoned in Rome -- as if to suggest that her Islamic faith was as valid as any other.  But how does this compare with the example of Christ in the Bible washing the feet of His disciples? And what should the believers response be as churches in America and throughout the world dive headlong into darkness and apostasy as they follow the example of Rome?

Today's Show: LUTHER ON THE LAW OF GOD

Chris discusses the teachings of Martin Luther on understanding the purpose of God's law in relation to our salvation by grace.  This lesson is especially important in America today, when many Christians leaders are declaring that the Church has "lost the culture war" in our country.  Have we been fighting the wrong war?  Is the Church guilty of judging by the outward show, demanding certain behavior from an unbelieving world, rather than transforming the hearts of others through the preaching of the Gospel?  What is the difference between the fulfillment of the law and doing the law?  And could this be the answer to America's woes?

Today's Show: FOR THERE ARE MANY ANTICHRISTS

Chris discusses the epistle of 1 John and its application to the Church's condition in America today.  The apostle confronted the early Gnostic movement that was determined to mingle the pagan immorality of the ancient world with the teachings of Jesus Christ -- not unlike the current trend among professing "Christian" pastors and churches who are teaching "Gay Christianity."  Is it possible to live a life in open rebellion to the commandments of God and still be justified?  What does John tell us about those who live their lives that way?  Should we embrace them as fellow believers?   Or warn them that the Christ they follow is, in reality, an anti-Christ?  And with the message of love and tolerance being used as the means for embracing immoral practices, what does it mean to respond with the love of God?

Today's Show: WALID SHOEBAT: DEFENDER OF THE INQUISITION?

Chris discusses a recent article published on the Walid Shoebat website titled, "Vatican as the Harlot of Babylon: Debunked."  Anyone who knows Walid Shoebat is familiar with his story of being a former Muslim Brotherhood member turned Christian.  But what sort of "Christian" is he?  It is reported that his wife is Catholic, and it may be that his understanding of history has suffered as a result.  In a previous article, Shoebat exalted the Catholic crusaders for fighting against the Turks when they tried to invade Europe, while denouncing Protestants for only defending the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Now, this new article from his son (Theodore Shoebat) continues the assault, proclaiming what can only be called the Romanist view of history. While the article might have been a discussion of the ministry's alternative view of prophecy, instead it chose to attack the great teachers of the Protestant Reformation, denouncing them as "heretics" and aligning them with false prophets, such as Joseph Smith and Muhammed.  Then we learn that part of the history Shoebat relies on comes from a modern Catholic historian who defended the actions of the Inquisition, including having heretics burned at the stake.

Today's Show: BONO, ANTICHRIST & THE JESUITS

Chris discusses the recent interview between Focus on the Family and Bono, the lead singer of the rock band, U2, in which Bono was embraced as a "Christian" in spite of his many anti-Christian beliefs and opinions.  Hear clips of Bono singing a song of ecumenical unity between Christians, Jews and Muslims, as well as his promotion of the cause of "social justice."  Bono also spoke at the Jesuit's Georgetown University shortly after the 2012 re-election of Barack Obama, during which he clearly celebrated Obama -- whose policies are the very antithesis of what Focus on the Family has professed for many years.  How could a Christian ministry embrace an unrepentant Bono as a believer in Jesus Christ, when by Biblical definition, he is clearly an antichrist?

They can because they aren't Christian, and neither is Bono. Bono is nothing but a globalist-friendly New Age nutcase.

Today's Show: THE SHIPS OF TARSHISH
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_SHIPS.OF.TARSHISH_07.02.13.mp3

A homosexual ralley in Boston was overwhelmed with demonstrations of so-called "Gay Christianity" as more and more church groups embrace the idea that this aberrant behavior, clearly condemned in the Scripture, is somehow pleasing to God.  The increased acceptance of sodomy has compelled an increasing number of pastors to change their view of the homosexual lifestyle, which seems to reflect a new twist in the ecumenical movement.  In light of this, Chris discusses the Biblical symbolism of the ships of Tarshish and their meaning as found in the writings of the Old Testament.  The ships were known to come with gold and treasure, but we are told that they were broken by God as a punishment against King Jehoshaphat for joining himself to a wicked ally.  What lessons can we as Christians learn in our own time about compromise, and joining hands with those who "hate the Lord" by their rejection of His commands?

Today's Show: THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_SERMON.ON.MOUNT_07.04.13.mp3

The world today is full of discord and controversy over many issues, but none so great as the concept of righteousness, or what it means to be "right" in the sight of God.  Some argue that a universal tolerance of all beliefs is the only right thinking, and that to discriminate against the view of others is bigoted, and cannot possibly represent the one true "god."  But what does the Bible say?  In His powerful Sermon on the Mount, the Lord Jesus Christ gave us certain guidelines for understanding the righteousness of God, and what to expect if we follow Him.  While the Lord's sermon is filled with promises of blessing for those who believe and obey, it also accompanied with warnings of destruction for those who reject God's standard, or who profess faith in Christ, while walking in disobedience.

Today's Show: SALT OF THE EARTH
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_SALT.OF.THE.EARTH_07.09.13.mp3

Chris continues his discussion of the Sermon on the Mount and how Jesus tells His followers to be as the "salt of the earth" and "the light of the world."  But what did He mean by these things? The admonition comes with a powerful warning that those who lose their "savor" are good for nothing but to be "cast out" and "trodden under foot of men."  In a society where compromise seems to be the practice of the day, and apostasy advances by leaps and bounds, what does it mean to be salt and light in the world we live in?

Today's Show: PRESIDENT BUSH ON GAY MARRIAGE
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_BUSH.ON.GAY.MARRIAGE_07.10.13.mp3

Chris discusses a recent interview with President George W. Bush on the subject of homosexual marriage.  When questioned about it, Bush made reference to Matthew chapter 7 -- but did he quote the Scripture in its proper context?  He gave the impression that others should not "judge" homosexuals (or apparently anyone else) for their immoral lifestyle, but is this what Jesus intended? For years, the "gay Christian" movement has argued that the passages in the Bible which condemn homosexuality have been wrongly translated.  In response, Chris unfolds the teachings of early Church writers on the subject of sodomy, and how it has been understood since ancient times.

Today's Show: THE NINTH COMMANDMENT
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_NINTH.COMMANDMENT_07.12.13.mp3

Chris discusses what might be called "the forgotten command" in modern times: Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.  In our society that is so consumed with the concept of free speech, have we forgotten that our liberty is not a license to speak lies and make false accusations?  Right now, the country is in discord over the trial of George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed 17 year old Trayvon Martin in what can only be called an American tragedy.  But have there been false accusations in this case that have caused turmoil to society and endangered the lives of others?  As the Scripture warns, the unrighteous tongue is set on fire by the powers of Hell (James 3:6).

Today's Show: SCALIGER, THE JESUITS & SIMONIDES
http://www.noiseofthunder.com/storage/NOTR_SCALIGER.VS.JESUITS_07.15.13.mp3

Chris discusses the research surrounding the controversy with Constantine Simonides, who was denounced and discredited by 19th century media after claiming to be the true author of the Codex Sinaiticus.  The situation seems to parallel what happened to the 16th century scholar, Joseph Justus Scaliger.  Scaliger was the father of developing a system of chronology for history, but some of his interpretations of historic documents put him at odds with the Catholic and Jesuit scholars.  Scaliger would be attacked and discredited by the Jesuits as a result.  Could this be proof that similar tactics were employed by Rome against the Greek Simonides?

Today's Show: THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

Chris discusses the challenge from a listener over exactly which commandment is the "Ninth Commandment."  Most Christians are familiar with the Ten Commandments as found in Exodus chapter 20, but may not be familiar with the fact that they are listed somewhat differently by various faith traditions.  Protestants, Catholics and Jews each list the commandments of God with slight variations.  Why the differences?  And are they important?  The answers provide insights into why Evangelicals list the Ten Commandments as they do in most churches today.

Today's Show: ALAN KURSCHNER: HARVARD DIVINITY DUPE

Chris discusses a recent review of the film "Tares Among the Wheat" posted by Alan Kurschner, the founder of Eschatos Ministries.  The film documents the provable history of the controversies surrounding the discovery of the Codex Sinaiticus.  Yet, in his review, Mr. Kurschner refers to the film as "ignorant" and "kooky."  At one point, he even says that Pinto has lied to the audience.  The foundation of his argument seems to be that because of his education from Harvard Divinity School he presents an educated view of the subject, and should not be questioned.  But can Harvard University today still be considered an authoritative source for serious theological studies? Are most Christians aware that homosexual marriage was promoted by the leading figure at the divinity school, Peter Gomes - the man known as 'Harvard's Pastor'?  And has Mr. Kurschner's education really taught him anything insightful about the topics of the film?  Or has he simply embarrassed himself by speaking about things he failed to properly investigate?

Today's Show: KURSCHNER REVISITED: THE DOUBLE DUPE

Our old friend Alan Kurschner has posted another article in response to yesterday's show, after he was exposed as a research-wannabe, who insists on writing about a film that he has not yet seen.  Chris replies to his comments, which are strange to say the least.  Kurschner has now stated that he himself might be "a closet homosexual Jesuit" and says that he was just looking for "meaningful interaction" when he called Pinto a "kook."  He further says that he was the "only Evangelical" in his class at Harvard and seems to suggest that he was just there to be a light to others.  But why would he want to study Greek from unbelieving scholars?  And does this indicate an even greater problem in the churches today?  If the blind lead the blind, will not both fall into a ditch?  Nevertheless, Chris attempts to remind Mr. Kurschner that much of his confusion could be alleviated if he would only research the information he claims to know so much about.

The city of Boston is also VERY New Age, not just Harvard - Christian Science cult founder Mary Baker Eddy was born there, and was inside its big campus 5 years ago. This is probably why there's so much New Age influence there.
