The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Hos 4:1  Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
Hos 4:2  By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
Hos 4:3  Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

Thousands of dead fish reported at mouth of Mississippi...

State authorities say fish kill in St. Bernard Parish waters likely caused by low oxygen levels

t. Bernard Parish authorities have reported a large fish kill at the mouth of the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet, but state wildlife officials say it does not appear to be directly related to oil from the BP leak.

Randy Pausina, head fisheries biologist for the state, said Department of Wildlife and Fisheries workers are investigating the fish kill and that the initial conclusion is that it was caused by low levels of oxygen in the water.

Pausina said extreme heat can cause areas of low oxygen, especially when coupled with nutrient-rich water coming from the Mississippi River. The state opened several river diversion structures to help keep oil from penetrating the state's wetlands.

The fish were found Sunday afternoon, floating near boom that had been deployed in the area to catch oil from the BP oil leak, and washed up on the shoreline, St. Bernard Parish government said in a news release.

"By our estimates there were thousands, and I'm talking about 5,000 to 15,000 dead fish. Different species were found dead including crabs, sting rays, eel, drum, speckled trout, red fish, you name it, included in that kill," St. Bernard Parish President Craig Taffaro said.

Taffaro said there was oil in the area, but said it could not be determined at this point if it factored into the fish kill.

"We don't want to jump to any conclusions because we've had some oxygen issues by the Bayou La Loutre Dam from time to time,'' he said in the news release.

Nonetheless, Taffaro said, "It does point to the need for us to continue to monitor our waters and that's what we'll be doing."

A a thick, orange substance with tar balls and a "strong diesel smell'' was located Monday morning around Grassy Island, the news release said. Skimmers were dispatched to the area.

Fairhaven, MA: Dead Fish Wash Ashore In Thousands, Lack Of Oxygen In Warm Waters To Blame (VIDEO)

On Monday, vacationing beach residents awoke to a foul smell when thousands of dead fish washed ashore on a small island on the east side of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, CNN reports.

Marine fisheries explained that the fish were killed due to a lack of oxygen caused by warm waters. All of the fish were Menhaden, which are especially sensitive to such changes, and they may have been dead for days prior to washing up on the beach.

Hundreds of Thousands of dead fish New Jersey Shores AUGUST 12 2010!!!

There have been odd occurrences this summer of large amounts of dead fish washing up on the beaches of the East Coast. Recently a fish kill occurred in Fairhaven, MA, reports NBC Philadelphia.

The latest occurrence of dead fish washing up on the beach happened today in New Jersey. Thousands of dead fish were found on the beach of the Delaware Bay. Gregory DeBrosse, a biologist at Rutgers and Cape Shore
Laboratory manager, told the Press of Atlantic City that there could be up to millions of dead fish on the beaches of New Jersey.

What is going on with all the dead fish and animal stories in the last few days. Here’s the latest. One of the beachings was due to a net ripping and fish then dead from shock washing ashore however that does not explain the larger fish dump.

Jersey Shore: Dead Fish Wash Ashore In Thousands For Second Time This Week On East Coast (VIDEO)

NBC Philadelphia reports that tens of thousands of dead menhaden fish washed ashore Wednesday on a New Jersey beach along Delaware Bay.

The incident is strikingly similar to an occurrence from Monday, when thousands of dead menhaden also washed ashore over 200 miles away in Fairhaven, MA (see video HERE).

N.J. Department of Environmental Protection officials say initial tests show no signs of toxic phytoplankton, like red tide, in the water, and they are still examining oxygen levels. Fisheries in Massachusetts alleged low oxygen from warm waters was the cause of the mass kill in Fairhaven, according to CNN.

Strangest of all, seagulls aren't going near what would normally appear to be a free lunch for the area's birds.

Just before folks in Beebe rang in the New Year, many witnessed an uncanny resemblance to the Hitchcock movie "The Birds." About 2,000 black birds fell from the sky off Windwood Drive, leaving quite the mess to clean up.

AdTech Ad

Folks Today's THV spoke with initially thought the birds were poisoned because they are what they call a nuisance around this time every year, but they are surprised to hear it is more of a mystery.

Stephen Bryant recalls, "Millions, millions fly over every night. You look up at the sky and it's just black and then last night at about 10:30 I came out here and saw a bird drop."

In a matter of hours on New Years Eve thousands of birds fell from the sky to their death.

Melissa Weatherly says, "I immediately called mom because I had to go to work, I said you have to come get the kids and get the dog because I don't know what's going on." She continues, "It was horrible; you could not even get down the road without running over hundreds. It was that bad."

The mystery is unraveling like scenes from a movie, dozens of U.S. Environmental Services crews spent the day picking up the birds, walking between homes and climbing on people roofs with protective hazmat suits and breathing masks,.

Charles Boldrey stands outside watching the crews, "Nobody knows, I asked these guys who are out here picking them up and they don't seem to know anything, nobody seems to know anything. It just kind of freaked everybody out."

Officials with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission flew over the area and determined it's a one mile stretch. There are a variety of dead black birds, mostly red winged and a duck was also found.

No one has been evacuated because the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) air test came back clean for toxins.

Weatherly is skeptical, "They're walking around in mask and I'm wondering do we need the same thing because what makes that happen for them to drop out of the sky like that." complete article

OZARK, Ark. (AP) — An Arkansas Game and Fish Commission spokesman says dead drum fish now cover a 20-mile section of the Arkansas River near Ozark.

Seven teams from the state agency visited the affected portion of the river Friday. Commission spokesman Keith Stephens says an official estimate of how many fish have died is expected on Monday, but he tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that the number is likely in the hundreds of thousands.

Now 100K Dead Fish Wash Up in Arkansas

Fish follow 5K blackbirds to their death
By Mary Papenfuss,  Newser Staff

Posted Jan 3, 2011 2:00 AM CST | Updated Jan 3, 2011 7:55 AM CST

(Newser) – More bizarre happenings in Arkansas: The state, reeling from the chilling sight of thousands of dead birds dropping from the sky over the weekend, is now grappling with 100,000 fish that have washed up on a 20-mile stretch of the Arkansas River. Officials suspect disease killed the drum fish, and note that while fish die-offs aren't unusual, the size of this one is. Officials are hopeful the phenomenon isn't the result of pollution or toxins. "The fish kill only affected one species of fish," an official tells CNN. "If it was from a pollutant, it would have affected all of the fish." Click for more on the dead birds.

Situation Update More than 5000 birds fall dead from Sky in Arkansas 12-31-2010 New Years Eve

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nBhYN738YU&feature=player_embedded

Arkansas game officials hope testing scheduled to begin Monday will solve the mystery of why up to 5,000 birds fell from the sky just before midnight New Year's Eve. The birds -- most of which were dead -- were red-winged blackbirds and starlings, and they were found within a one-mile area of Beebe, about 40 miles northeast of Little Rock, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission said. Birds fell over about a one-mile area, the commission said in a statement. As of Saturday, between 4,000 and 5,000 birds had been found dead, said Keith Stephens with the commission. "Shortly after I arrived, there were still birds falling from the sky," said commission wildlife officer Robby King in the statement. He said he collected about 65 dead birds. The commission said it flew over the area to gauge the scope of the event, and no birds were found outside of the initial one-mile area. Karen Rowe, an ornithologist for the commission, said the incident is not that unusual and is often caused by a lightning strike or high-altitude hail. A strong storm system moved through the state earlier in the day Friday.

"It's important to understand that a sick bird can't fly. So whatever happened to these birds happened very quickly," Rowe told CNN Radio on Sunday. "Something must have caused these birds to flush out of the trees at night, where they're normally just roosting and staying in the treetops ... and then something got them out of the air and caused their death and then they fell to earth," Rowe added. Officials also speculated that fireworks shot by New Year's revelers in the area might have caused severe stress in the birds. Rowe said Sunday there was evidence that large fireworks may have played a role. "Initial examinations of a few of the dead birds showed trauma. Whether or not this trauma was from the force of hitting the ground when they fell or from something that contacted them in the air, we don't know," Rowe said. The dead birds will be sent for testing to labs at the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission and the National Wildlife Health Center in Wisconsin. The necropsies will begin Monday, Stephens said, and the findings should be available sometime this week. The city of Beebe has hired U.S. Environmental Services to begin the cleanup and dispose of the dead birds, the commission said. The firm's workers will go door-to-door and pick up birds still in yards and on rooftops.

Look at the following web service for yourself folks. Something is killing mass amounts of birds and fish worldwide. This is by no means a rare event for the past year. Something is happening. In the military Parakeets are used as early warning system to detect chemical attacks.

The following copy and pasted from RSOE Emergency and Disaster Information Service

About 1,000 black birds fell from the sky over Beebe on Friday night, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission said in a news release Saturday. Around 11:30 p.m., the commission began receiving phone calls about the birds, most of which were dead and fell over a 1-mile span, the release said. Wildlife officer Robby King collected about 65 dead birds that will be sent to the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission lab and the National Wildlife Health Center lab in Madison, Wis. Officers flew over the area and determined no birds had fallen outside that part of the city, the release said. Commission ornithologist Karen Rowe said in the release that the flock could have been hit by lightning or high-altitude hail. Or the birds could have died from stress if disturbed from their roost by fireworks celebrating the New Year. Beebe has hired the commission to dispose of the birds.

Birds Fall From Sky In Australia

Amanda O'Brien
The Australian
Wednesday, January 10, 2007

THOUSANDS of birds have fallen from the skies over Esperance and no one knows why.  Is it an illness, toxins or a natural phenomenon? A string of autopsies in Perth have shed no light on the mystery.  All the residents of flood-devastated Esperance know is that their "dawn chorus" of singing birds is missing.  The main casualties are wattle birds, yellow-throated miners, new holland honeyeaters and singing honeyeaters, although some dead crows, hawks and pigeons have also been found.  Wildlife officers are baffled by the "catastrophic" event, which the Department of Environment and Conservation said began well before last week's freak storm.

On Monday, Esperance, 725km southeast of Perth, was declared a natural disaster zone.  District nature conservation co-ordinator Mike Fitzgerald said the first reports of birds dropping dead in people's yards came in three weeks ago. More than 500 deaths had since been notified. But the calls stopped suddenly last week, reportedly because no birds were left.

"It's very substantial. We estimate several thousand birds are dead, although we don't have a clear number because of the large areas of bushland," Mr Fitzgerald said.

Birds Australia, the nation's main bird conservation group, said it had not heard of a similar occurrence. "Not on that scale, and all at the same time, and also the fact that it's several different species," chief executive Graeme Hamilton said. "You'd have to call that a most unusual event and one that we'd all have to be concerned about."

He expected birds would return to the area once the problem - natural or man-made phenomenon - was fixed but said it was vital the cause was identified.  The Department of Agriculture and Food, which conducted the autopsies, has almost ruled out an infectious process.  Acting chief veterinary officer Fiona Sunderman said toxins were the most likely cause but the deaths could be due to anything from toxic algae to chemicals and pesticides.

Dr Sunderman said there were no leads yet on which of potentially hundreds of toxins might be responsible. Some birds were seen convulsing as they died.  Michelle Crisp was one of the first to contact the DEC after finding dozens of dead birds on her property one morning.  She told The Australian she normally had hundreds of birds in her yard, but that she and a neighbour counted 80 dead birds in one day.

"It went to the point where we had nothing, not a bird," she said.

"It was like a moonscape, just horrible. But the frightening thing for us, we didn't find any more birds after that. We literally didn't have any birds left to die."

Eugenists testing the tools of their trade. Consider how they are talking about targeting cancer, etc with genetic stem cells and such. They want to remove the cancerous virus as they see fit, and that virus they think is human, and they reason it best to just get rid of the sick ones for the betterment of society.

None of this surprises me.

BIRDS DROP FROM SKY OVER LOUISIANA
Tuesday Edition
January 4, 2011

LABARRE — Hundreds of dead and dying birds littered a quarter-mile stretch of highway in Pointe Coupee Parish on Monday as motorists drove over and around them.

State biologists are trying to determine what led to the deaths of the estimated 500 red-winged blackbirds and starlings on La. 1 just down the road from Pointe Coupee Central High School.

The discovery of the dead birds — some of which were lying face down, clumped in groups, while others were face up with their wings outstretched and rigid legs pointing upward — comes just three days after more than 3,000 blackbirds rained down from the sky in Beebe, Ark.

Necropsies performed Monday on the birds in Arkansas showed the birds suffered internal injuries that formed blood clots leading to their deaths, The Associated Press reported.

In Louisiana, biologists with the state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries spent part of the day Monday scooping up some of the birds in Pointe Coupee Parish to be sent for testing at labs in Georgia and Wisconsin.

The remaining carcasses were still on the roadway, on the shoulder and in drainage ditches Monday afternoon as some motorists sped past, flattening birds lying in the roadway, while other drivers slowed down to gawk.

State Wildlife Veterinarian Jim LaCour said he planned to drive to Pointe Coupee to pick up some of the bird carcasses to study.

Lab tests could take several weeks to come up with an explanation for the deaths, and LaCour declined to speculate on possible causes; however, he did say massive bird deaths have been known to occur in the state in the past, albeit in smaller numbers.

“Underlying disease, starvation and cold fronts where birds can’t get their body heat up” have caused similar occurrences “in various species over the years,” he said.

LaCour said some of the bird samples will be sent to the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Wildlife Center in Wisconsin for analysis.

USGS spokesman Paul Slota said Monday afternoon he was unaware of the mass deaths in Louisiana, but he expects bird samples taken from the Arkansas occurrence on New Year’s Eve to arrive Tuesday in Wisconsin.

Slota also declined to speculate on a cause for the deaths, but he said a search of USGS records shows there have been 16 events in the past 30 years involving blackbirds where at least 1,000 of the birds have died seemingly all at once.

“These large events do take place,” he said. “It’s not terribly unusual.”

New Zealand!!!

Fisheries officials are investigating the death of hundreds of snapper washed up on Coromandel Peninsula beaches. Beachgoers at Little Bay and Waikawau Bay found the fish - many with their eyes missing - dead on the sand yesterday. Aucklander James Hughes, who was visiting friends, said they were sitting around when children in their group ran towards them holding fish. "We said, 'Where'd you get them?' and they said they just started floating up to the beach." Mr Hughes and others on the beach began walking towards the spot where the fish had washed up, and found many dead fish in the water too. "We spoke to boaties coming in and they said there was a carpet of them floating in the water." A Department of Conservation official told Mr Hughes fish in the Coromandel area were starving because of weather conditions. "That's just completely untrue. This was something deliberate and it's just wrong," Mr Hughes said. Ministry of Fisheries official Brendon Mikkelsen said the fish had been in the water for at least 12 hours and would be unsafe to eat. Last night, another ministry official said the matter was being investigated. It would be illegal to deliberately dump snapper, but there could be an innocent explanation, such as a net splitting.

According to your faith. Jesus says He will never leave us nor forsake us, and if we drink any deadly thing it won't hurt us. I tend to believe the Word over the local news. Thank you Jesus.

I agree with Kilika - we need to be prepared, but in prayer and in the Word of God.

If we get killed off with this, then just remember we have eternal life right in front of us with no sickness, death, sorrow, etc. Smiley

Not judging anyone here(including myself), but if we all lived in China, an Eastern European country, some African country, or whatever 3rd world/developing country out there like Turkey, then we REALLY would know what suffering is.(I know we do now, but you know what I'm saying)

Don't know how old everyone here is, but I've been born and raised here in America for over 30 years - I really hate to say it, but this country is just too darned spoiled. Everything given to us on a silver platter. When the fan hits the ceiling, this country is really going to be in for a rude awakening. Just be thankful we are saved and live in a loving relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

"I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD." (Zephaniah 1:3).

Have the bird and fish deaths have anything to do with HAARP?

I don't mean to derail this topic here, but the shooting that happened in AZ today...it seems like there is alot more to it than is being reported. Won't go into details here, but Congress has come out saying how they have put off working on repealing Obamacare for a week because of this shooting. Really? What does this incident and repealing Obamacare have to go to do with one another? I know a Congresswoman was a victim in this, but nonetheless, they have nothing to do with each other. Again, something really stinks about this incident.

Anyhow, only reason why I bring this up is because we have what is going on with the thousands of birds dying around the world, and another stuff like today happening...be prepared for this very 2011 year which is still very young...

12/01/2011 Manchester UK
Hundreds of fish have been found dead in a Manchester pond in the latest bizarre mass animal deaths. Experts say the freezing weather caused the deaths. Nature lover Stuart Hall, 60, spotted the fish in the pond on Chudleigh Close, Stockport, during a walk near his home. The 500 fish - many thought to be large bream and pike - were set in the ice on the pond. Mr Hall, of Mostyn Road, Hazel Grove, said he was worried the water may be poisoned. He said: "I was shocked, it was awful to see all that life just gone. It's like the 'birds dropping from the trees' scenario, but on a much larger scale. "When you love nature and the countryside it's heartbreaking. There is no sign of life here whatsoever - not one duck." It’s the latest in a series of strange animal deaths around the world which has claimed the lives of birds including doves, coots and starlings and several species of fish.

200 dead cows found in Wisconsin field

http://www.leadertelegram.com/news/daily_updates/article_958bdf2a-20b9-11e0-8f25-001cc4c03286.html

TOWN OF STOCKTON (AP) — An investigation is under way after 200 dead cows were found in a field in the Town of Stockton.

The Portage County sheriff’s office says the owner of the cattle has been working with a local veterinarian and it’s believed the animals died from the IBR/BVD virus. The virus can cause respiratory and reproductive problems.

Samples from the dead cows have been sent to Madison for testing.

Authorities say there is no threat to humans or other animals.
