The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. 'Gay' activists kill cash sources for Christian charities
Internet-based campaigns scare away corporate donors with 'hate group' charge

A shopping network that contributes some of its profits to leading Christian family organizations is battling an Internet-organized campaign by homosexual-rights activists.

The Charitable Give Back Group, formerly known as the Christian Values Network, says activist websites that enable users to create their own "cause" boast they have prompted hundreds of corporations to cut ties with the shopping network because it contributes to "anti-gay" non-profit organizations.

The activists are mobilizing through websites such as Change.org and Allout.org.

Change.org says it is "organized around more than a dozen leading cause-based communities, ranging from gay rights to women's rights to animal welfare."

Earlier this month, a Change.org petition with 700 endorsers prompted Starbucks founder and CEO Howard Schultz to back out of a speaking engagement at a leadership conference hosted by well-known evangelical Christian pastor Bill Hybels, whose Willow Creek Church teaches marriage is reserved for one man and one woman.

One petition at Change.org claims that it forced the popular Internet movie rental site Netflix to quit the Charitable Give Back Group with only 300 signatures.

An online signer wrote:

"Shame on you, Netflix, and any other company which supports CVN's donations to hate groups. I choose not to support you unless you stop supporting CVN or CVN stops permitting donations to hate groups."

The referenced "hate groups" include Focus on the Family, the Catholic League and the Family Research Council, which are targeted because of their support for traditional marriage.

Responding to the campaign, the Catholic League said in a statement that "radical proponents of gay marriage have taken the culture war to the marketplace."

"Rejecting diversity and tolerance, these activists have declared an economic war against any organization that embraces the Judeo-Christian understanding of marriage," the Catholic League said.

The Catholic League rejected the assertion by the Change.org activists that some of the recipients of the funds are Christian "hate groups."

"This is a lie," the group's statement said.

Customers who shop through the Charity Give Back Group can choose to give a portion of their purchase price to one of 170,000 established charities in the network.

John Higgins, president of CGBG, told WND that the activists "initially caused 350 big name retailers to pull out of the network because of their lies and distortions."

Higgins received an email from Walgreens announcing the drug store chain had terminated its affiliation because "it has been determined that you may have ties with discriminatory organizations, which is a violation of Walgreens terms and conditions."

Allout.org also has boasted of success.

"Thanks to your voice, Expedia, Hotels.com, Avis, Westin and Apple have joined Microsoft, Macy's, Delta, and more than 200 other corporations and cut ties with CVN.org, a network that allows people to donate part of their online purchases to hate groups."

But the website urged much more to be done.

"Unfortunately, hundreds of other corporations are still participating," it said. "If you haven't already, sign our letter to the companies still using CVN and we'll follow up soon on our next target."

Rejecting the activists' "lies," Higgins argues that CGBG is politically "neutral."

"We ask our retail partners to also remain neutral," he said.

One self-described "gay-Christian blogger" from San Francisco touts his success in getting retailers to "dump" CGBG.

On his blog he describes the response he received from an executive at an unnamed corporation he talked into leaving the charity network.

"I mentioned it to my wife," the executive told the blogger. "… For the first time I can tell her I did something for you people, and I'm happy to do it."

The blog targets CGBG because of the Family Research Council's membership in the network.

"This boycott campaign is based on anti-gay and anti-women organizations receiving financial support from good corporate citizens," the blogger wrote. "It is based on a known hate group receiving financial support from good corporate citizens. This is about being a good neighbor, a good person, and being a good friend. This is about empathy, tolerance, and understanding."

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, told supporters last week that the online political activists "have engaged in a misinformation campaign that bullies retailers including Netflix, Walgreens, Petco, and Westin Hotels into discriminating against customers and charities based on their religious beliefs, specifically the traditional and biblical view of marriage as the union of one man and one woman."

Perkins pointed out that marriage between a man and a woman is the law in 44 states and has been upheld by voters in 31 of 31 states where it has appeared on the ballot.

Higgins told WND that CGBG has countered the online activists' distortions with the truth.

"Once these retail partners heard the facts, many of them have realized that they had been had," he said.

So far, he said, 250 of the 350 retail partners have come back online, and he expects more will follow.

"We just want the retailers to be consistent," he said. "There are other charity sites like ours that weren't targeted by the activists, and the same retailers that dumped us were still donating money to the same charities we had on our site."

Higgins said he "found that in many cases a junior executive made a knee-jerk reaction to dump CGBG, and once a senior manager heard the truth, the retailer has come back online with us."

The Change.org petition that caused Starbucks' Schultz to back out of the Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit in South Barrington, Ill., Aug. 11 and 12 called Hybel's church "anti-gay."

The petition said it was "unacceptable" for Schultz to speak at Willow Creek, which "has a long history anti-gay persecution."

Hybels rejected the characterization.

"Willow is not only not anti-gay, but Willow is not anti-anybody," he said.

The pastor lamented "a growing trend to throw stones first and ask questions later."

Tom Minnery, executive director of Focus on the Family's CitizenLink, noted the campaigns by the online "gay" activists.

"They don't want to just throw stones," he said on the ministry's CitzenLink Report webcast. "They want Christians and anyone who doesn't embrace the concept of same sex marriage to go away."

"They don't want to just throw stones," he said on the ministry's CitzenLink Report webcast. "They want Christians and anyone who doesn't embrace the concept of same sex marriage to go away."

That pretty much sums it up. One thing is fact; the gay activists won't go away till Jesus puts them away. Man can't stop the onsluaght of evil from the gay lobby no more can they stop the US government from selling out to the UN and world government, "lest hapily ye be found even to fight against God".

Churchianity just doesn't understand "...be ye seperate...". I like to think that they really believe in Jesus and are sincerely trying to be a Christian, but in their works many deny Him being so caught up in the world. Those who really have Jesus I don't worry for, they'll be fine, it's the unbelieving that are acting but not really believing that concerns me. God has mandated they shall receive their reward. Jesus will tell them He never knew them.

"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Revelation 18:4 (KJB)

PayPal blacklists Christian writer
Online activist told friends must find another way to support his ministry

"Relax," says a PayPal website. "Pay friends & family in seconds with PayPal." After all, it's the "easy way to send money in seconds." No checks, no ATMs, no envelopes and stamps, just click the button on your computer.

That is, of course, unless you and your friends teach the biblical perspective that homosexuality is not acceptable for Christians and is a sin.

Then you get a note from the money-transfer giant that you are being investigated. Another note follows shortly later that your account is being closed and PayPal will hold the money for 180 days, and then return it to you. But you don't have any access to it any longer.

Those are the circumstances that have developed with Christian activist Julio Severo, who posts writings online on his international Last Days Watchman blog, teaching Christian values and alerting readers to anti-Christian influences worldwide.

In his case, PayPal, on the heels of an online campaign by homosexuals demanding that Christians such as Severo be denied the use of the PayPal system, sent an email announcing an "investigation."

Then PayPal executives dispatched an email explaining that because of "legal and regulatory constraints," the company is "unable to process donation payments for non-registered charities and non-profit organizations; political party/organizations; religious institutions; personal/organizational fundraisers, etc. …"

"This is not a decision we make lightly, and we deeply regret any inconvenience or frustration this matter may cause you," wrote "Sugar" from the PayPal Compliance Department.

"Your remaining account balance will be held in your PayPal account for 180 days from the date your account was limited. After 180 days, you will be notified via e-mail with information on how to receive your remaining funds."

The message included a link to the company's user agreement that explained transactions couldn't involve any violation of the law, sales of narcotics or "items that promote hate, violence, racial intolerance," obscenity, ponzi schemes, fraud, illegal tobacco or gambling.

It said charity donations need "pre-approval."

But it said nothing, however, about stopping friends from sending money to friends.

"PayPal says that it does not allow the use of its service for activities that promote hatred, violence or racial intolerance, but its action against my account was spurred by a hate campaign by gay activists wanting to shut down my account," Severo told WND. "I am very worried, because PayPal caved in to gay militants and their hate campaign to have me excluded from PayPal."

And who owns PayPal? eBay, since 2002. Think about it folks. We can clearly see where this is headed. They are the largest online payment service out there, and if they adopt this kind of policy, it doesn't matter what individual retailers do, because PayPal is blocking the money from ever getting to the business.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/6961/What-Percentage-Population-Gay.aspx

Consider the percentage of the population that is gay, depending on who you ask, but the number is apparently narrowed to under 20%. So why is it that the whole population must bow down to such a small group's wishes? Because they are of the world, and the world loves their own.

What will people do, hypothetically, if they manage to get banks to listen to them, and banks start blocking people from having an account. Remember that banks are private businesses. I'm not sure there is much the banking regulators would do, or could do about it if banks started adopting such a policy. And PayPal is technically a part of the banking industry.

Petition against PayPal discrimination reaches 7,400 signatures - PayPal stonewalls

Despite the fact that more than 7,400 people have signed a petition asking PayPal not to succumb to pressure by homosexual activists, who are urging the company to eliminate Christian activists from its service, so far PayPal has issued no response.

Meanwhile, homosexualist groups are boasting that the campaign has brought about the elimination of pro-family Coral Ridge Ministries from PayPal’s service, as well as LifeSiteNews translator and pro-family blogger Julio Severo.

In addition to being cut off from the service, Severo has also been informed that the funds in his PayPal account have been frozen for half a year, after which the company says it will inform him of how to withdraw the funds.

LifeSiteNews began to gather the signatures in mid-September after the homosexualist organization All Out began a petition to ask PayPal to revoke the accounts of Christian groups and individuals that oppose the homosexual lifestyle and political agenda, claiming the groups preached “hate” and are “extremist.”

The list includes mainstream pro-family organizations such as Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP), and Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) under the same rubric as the extremist Dove World Outreach Center, which recently provoked violence in Muslim countries after threatening to publicly burn the Koran.

LifeSiteNews has tried to reach PayPal via an email address provided by the company, and has called customer service.

PayPal’s email response has been to insist only on interacting with PayPal account holders with a complaint about their own accounts. The organization claims it cannot open the spreadsheet attachment containing the signatures on the petition.  It also continues to claim that Severo is an unregistered “organization” to justify cutting him off from the service.

A call to customer service resulted in LifeSiteNews being provided with a phone number to call for Paypal’s public relations department, which failed to return a message left on voice mail.

LifeSiteNews has sent emails to two PayPal addresses published on the internet by a prominent anti-PayPal site that claims they correspond to PayPal President Scott Thompson and Accounts Protection Senior Director Mike Vergara. No response has been received.
