I read this:There are Biblical truths that Bible believers maintain as "convictions" but they are clear and agreed to by ALL born again Christians because the Bible is clear and unambiguous about these matters: The divine inspiration of Scripture and the preservation of that Scripture for eternity. In English, the only infallible Bible is the King James Bible and all who abandon this will eventually abandon the following:
THE MAJORS
* The literal six-day Creation of all life on planet earth.
* The Fall of Man in the Garden of Eden bringing universal curse of sin, death and an inherent sinful nature (depravity) upon all human beings born of the seed of man, and the same curse of death upon all other living things.
* The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, conceived in Mary by the overshadowing of the Holy Ghost and born only of the seed of woman, without male seed and without man's inherent sin and sinful nature.
* The miracles of Jesus Christ were supernatural and authentic.
* The sinless life of Jesus Christ who suffered thirst, exhaustion and pain but did not fail to keep the Law perfectly.
* The vicarious death (as man's substitute) of Jesus Christ on the Cross paid the full price for the sin of the whole world, leaving nothing else to be paid: "It is finished!"
* The burial and bodily resurrection of Jesus was a real, physical resurrection of the same body that died on the Cross.
* The Ascension was a literal, physical ascension and so shall the Second Coming of Jesus Christ be a literal, physical, bodily return of Jesus Christ to conquer the Antichrist World Order, False Prophet and Satan, and to establish His Kingdom on the earth.
* The Rapture of the Church is imminent (any moment) and will precede the 70th week of Daniel (seven years of Tribulation). The Church is NOT in the Tribulation. It is the time of Jacob's Trouble.
* Sin is sin and there will be no compromise in our stand against that which God clearly speaks: false gods, idolatry, blasphemy & profanity, theft (stealing), lies (false witness), adultery, ****ography, fornication, sodomy, sorcery, drug abuse, drunkenness, covetousness, heresies, apostasy
* Anything else PLAINLY condemned in Scripture.
Posts regarding the propagation and/or defense of major issues are welcome. Exposing sin, exposing error, exposing heresy, exposing apostasy, exposing the New World Order and edifying the saints with Gospel messages, testimonies, news items, etc., are also welcome.
But we will not allow for majoring on:
THE MINORS
While taking a STAND on matters that God clearly spells out is imperative, there are an increasing number of folks who get their eyes off of the majors and begin personal or church-wide crusades to straighten out the world on issues (or non-issues) of which God has not spoken. You will note that many times these people must CORRECT or CHANGE the King James text in order to arrive at their "convictions".
These are matters that some popish preachers (seeking to establish a personality cult) wish to add to God's Book, as though God failed to mention some "sins". These matters are usually made into a test of fellowship that only the cult (or cultic circle of churches) of that personality hold to. Examples include:
* Styles of music (as only hymns or only "high church") beyond just avoiding "christian rock"
* Particular musical instruments (such as piano-organ-onlyism)
* Style of dress (suits and ties for men, dresses and other regulations for women)
* Sunday evening services as mandatory
* Condemnation of churches allowing food and drink in the "sanctuary" (an heretical misnomer)
* Tithing as a legalistic commandment for the New Testament Church
* Condemning anyone ever going to an amusement park, movie, certain restaurants, etc.
* Condemning anyone holding health, life or other "insurance" policies.
* Condemning those who use methods of evangelism not first approved by the CULT LEADER
* Banning divorced men (divorced by a rebellious woman) from the ministry
* Attacking preachers whose children rebelled, though raised in a Biblical home
* Condemning use of the internet
* Condeming women who wear makeup and/or cut their hair (even if length is left)
* Condemning women who wear pant-slacks or knee-shorts or other modest apparel
* And any number of other issues...
These sorts of issues are the realm of small minds majoring on minor issues or NON-issues. If anyone attempts to produce division over such things, that person will be asked to leave our meetings or be blocked from our on-line ministries.
And we clearly will not put up with:
THE HERETICS
There are matters that are clearly divisive and heretical, many times producing new cults:*Any false gospel of works for salvation or works to remain saved
* Sabbath Days and mandatory celebration of or condemnation of certain days
* Condemnation of the use of ANY musical instruments in meetings, or the extreme opposite of,
* Rock Music in the Church, producing gyrating, spastic, uncontrolled and blasphemous displays.
* Ecumenism and the acceptance of false religion, false gospels and false teachers
* Vatican Versions departing from our King James Bible and producing error and apostasy
* Sexual promiscuity, excusing "loose living" and accommodating unrepentant fornicators
* Sodomites and "the gay lifestyle", accommodating and encouraging such depravity
* Requiring "speaking in tongues" for salvation
* Teaching the Apostolic sign gifts as normative for all believers
* Mind cults who teach that it is your own faith and confession that produces answer to prayer
* Seed Faith doctrine, guaranteeing 100% (or better) return on your "investment in God's work"
* New Age, occult, psychic, Luciferian, Satanic doctrine
* The Roman Catholic Church, any of it's offshoots and any of it's unbiblical heresies
* And hundreds of other forms of heresy. The bottom line is that we are in a WAR and if you spend your time "fragging" your own (friendly fire) or shooting into the wind, the enemy will WIN. We don't have time for it!
"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." (Ephesians 5:15-16) Serious soldiers will remain focused on the REAL enemy and stay engaged in the battle.
"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
"No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." (2 Timothy 2:3-4)
