thanks. never listened to his sermons before. hard to imagine he was ever a satanist or witch. he has a child like quality about him. very sweet demeanor. i listened to his sermon on emotional healing and he talks about new agers in the church parading as christians. which if i were to hear this even a month ago, i would think it as a minor issue but with the emergent church its so blatant. i can see why alot of young people would want to join as it appeals to the flesh.

Bill S. made some very good points in his Jezebel Eruptions sermon - yeah, it just seems like today's pastor has no discernment at al. From my experiences, it's as if they're doing nothing but going through the motions so that they can collect their paychecks and feed their families.

My current one, in almost every one of his sermons, will mention at least 1 heretic in a positive light each week - one week it's Thomas Merton(a Roman Catholic mystique), the next week it's Pope John Paul II, the next week it's Eugene Petersen(Message bible author, it's VERY New Age), recently he mentioned Rick Warren(for the first time since I've been there), and the list goes on and on. No, I don't think he's a Freemason or anything, but again, it seems like today's pastor's job is no different than from some desk job at some secular company where you just go through the same motions every single day.

Said some really good stuff concerning the infiltration of Jezebel's spirit into churches...must listen!

It is best if you do this with another Believer, ideally your pastor. If you are married, the husband should
take the lead. If a single parent, then you are the heard of the household. If you have no pastor or he is too
busy, at least get another Believer, hopefully a prayer warrior, to stand with you in prayer as you do this.
Take anointing oil (olive oil is best, but anything will do in a pinch). Begin at the master bedroom of the
home or whatever you could consider to be the spiritual heart of the home (or business, etc.). Pray this
prayer over that room and anoint the doorposts and windows of the room (if any). Then move to the next
room and work your way toward the front door of the place – just as if you were shooing a fly out of the
house. Pray this same prayer in each room. Do not forget basements, closets, and bathrooms. If the attic is
readily accessible, pray there as well.
Finish up in either main room before the front door or foyer or whatever. All who are praying gather
there and pray this prayer one final time. Command any enemies of Yah’shua (Hebrew name of Jesus) to
leave through the front door and then seal it as before with olive oil. Then, pray for the land (see separate
prayer sheet).

I have yet to find this in the bible. It sounds like Catholicism or witchcraft or something? Don't forget to keep a bottle of olive oil in your pocket, maybe some garlic too. Shocked

Or how about faith/belief, and ONLY faith/belief in Jesus Christ that he WILL protect you. David did exactly just that in Psalms.

Ive ran across this several times. Its in the Bible for a lot of different things.

Gen 28:18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

Exo 30:25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.
Exo 30:26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,

Mar 6:13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Yet ive never done it or can really find a reason to. The anointing oil was a special blend of oil and it was almost always used on a person. Cant really find anywhere its used to chase out devils and ghosts.

This is why we ALWAYS have to stick with the scriptures first and foremost. Even true men of God aren't infallible. Can't tell you how many times my mom has corrected me on scripture.

Just to step back for a minute...

Not to speak for or against Bill, but overall, it seems like today's Churchianity, the seminaries, etc, etc try to make the doctrine of prayer REALLY difficult. Being in SBC churches almost all of my life, can't tell you how many comments I've heard...one young pastor said how prayer "is sweat", others said how we need to get on our knees for at least 1-3 hours a day.

I mean, seriously, Jesus Christ said to not be weary in well doing, and to enter in his rest. And he also said to pray WITHOUT ceasing.

For the most part, we all struggle in the flesh and have many temptations - it's not like getting on our knees and sweating it out 1-3 hours will just make everything go away for the remaining 21-23 hours. It's as if Churchianity and the seminaries are trying to bring back everyone in bondage. Making rules to get on your knees for 1 straight hour is a doctrine of WORKS, and NOT of faith. I'm not calling out anyone here that does(again, if it be of faith, then it is good), but making these rules that Jesus Christ never talked about is the works of the flesh.

Whatever happened to draw nigh unto God and the devil will flee from you? Didn't Jesus tell those he healed to believe only? Or one other he said, "thy faith hath made thee whole". It wasn't like these people get on their knees for 1-3 hours spitting out many words. Even God said to let your words be few b/c he knows what your needs are before you come to him.

And last of all, aren't we all supposed to have freedom in Christ?

So i sent Bill asking how did he get this knowledge about anointing rooms in the house with oil because it's not in the New Testament?

Yep, always important to 100% stick to the scriptures. No matter how much good/bad fruit other people bear, 100% of the time we put our stock in them, 100% of the time we will get burned. Been there, done that.

Don't even put your trust on anyone(including myself) in this forum.
