Internet p0rnography destroying men's ability to perform with real women, finds study

Internet p0rnography is creating a generation of young men who are hopeless in the bedroom, according to research.

Exposure to lurid images and films in the new media is de-sensitising so many young people that they are increasingly unable to become excited by ordinary sexual encounters, a report said.

The result is that impotence is no longer a problem associated with middle-aged men of poor health but is afflicting men in the prime of their lives.

That is NO lie Dok...

I know a guy - and yes, I try.. who is a good friend of mine and has been single for a long time. Being as such, he's not at all shy to saturate himself with p0rn.

He has commented about just that - how it has impacted his ability when he's with a girl in terms of ability.. I guess the mind wraps itself up in a fantasy land and other stimulation becomes inadequate.

That being said, I'm not perfect there myself, but to that - I have a little story I wish to share...

Years ago; while trolling the net for p0rn or chat 'friends' and prior to being saved, an odd 'vision' came to my mind. I'm not one to claim it was anything but something my mind came up with typically; although my personal feeling is that it was a warning from God.

It was short, very short. But also very powerful as well. It took years for me to come to terms with it, but I think it derailed my sex addiction pretty well.

In this 'vision' for lack of a better term - I seen a black abyss, and in that was a web - a web spiraling down like a whirlpool or black hole. It was easy to skirt the edge of it, so to speak, but it was clear to me that is was akin to a black hole in terms of it's ability to pull in the soul. The more you allowed it to pull, the stronger it got. But I never got the feeling it was 'just p0rn' - but a greater concept of sin in general, but at that point it was clearly a warning against where things could lead..

As I see things a bit more clear now; I realize in fact that is the truth. Few can argue that even the worst deviant known to man... started small.

I'm not a nut now or claiming to be a visionary of any sort! It was just something that came to me.. that perhaps someone might appreciate me sharing.

It's taken a while and faith; and prayer - but that problem isn't what it used to be. Sure, temptation arises; but I can thank God for the will to overcome it - and I have no doubt, it saved my marriage and maybe my life.

I get what you are saying, once sin starts it drags everything into it.

"What one generation allows in moderation, the next will abuse in excess."

If you just look at how Playboy got its start and look at where we are at now.  Shocked

Or just a good look at TV and Hollywood are perfect examples.  Angry

Yep, a "phasing in" of more and more excess to, as they say, "keep it edgy". Today's "R" movies would likely get A MC-17 and maybe an "X" 30 years ago.

So long as we are in this fleshly body, there will be sinfulness, just as brother Paul described, but he also tells us how we have a way to bear it...

20   Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21   I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22   For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23   But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24   O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25   I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Romans 7:20-25 (KJB)

Jesus says that we shall have tribulation...

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33 (KJB)

Pornography in the Pew – A Hidden Sin (Part One)

The website pornharms.com has an entire section devoted to WRAP Week, and will air a live webcast Sunday on Internet Safety 101. The site is also giving away copies of Truth Behind The Fantasy of ****: The Greatest Illusion on Earth, by Shelley Lubben, a former pornography star.

It is widely known that pornography is a prevalent issue in today’s society, but its potential of addiction is not isolated to the secular world. Charles Swindoll calls it “the no. 1 secret problem in your church.”

“Without your knowing, it could be eating your church alive. And the scariest thing is . . . you may not realize the extensive damage it's causing,” Swindoll wrote on his website, Insight for Living. “It's ruining marriages, destroying relationships, harming youth, and hurting the body of Christ."

No longer is viewing pornographic material confirmed to boys and men sneaking a peak at a Playboy magazine. The Internet has created an instant and easy access to what is known as “****” images and film.

"I’d say the overwhelming majority of users have almost no understanding of the consequences of pornography," said David R. Smith, author of Ministry by Teenagers, in an email to The Christian Post. "They do not understand that it’s not real. They mentally glaze over the reality that pornography is about two Ms: money and ****. Of course, it also leads to the dehumanization of women (no matter what the adult industry may say)."

Pornography and sexual sin are becoming more and more pervasive. According to watchdog organization Covenant Eyes, the profit obtained from the pornography industry is more than the collective revenue of the top technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, eBay, Yahoo, Apple, EarthLink and Netflix.

United Families International found that 40 million Americans regularly visit pornographic sites and 2.5 billion pornographic emails are sent each day. The same survey found that nearly 30,000 users are viewing **** each second.

According to a ChristiaNet survey, 50 percent of Christian men are addicted to pornography. And it’s not just a “guy-thing;” 20 percent of Christian women are addicted to pornography, and 60 percent of Christian women admitted to significantly struggling with lust.

And yes, pornography is in the pulpit, too. Christianity Today found that 37 percent of pastors admit that they struggle with Internet pornography, and 51 percent say it’s a source of temptation. And more than half the pastors surveyed (57 percent) said that addiction to pornography is the most sexually damaging issue in their church.

It breaks apart marriages – 56 percent of divorces involve one party having an obsessive interest in “pornographic websites,” according to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. And pornography breaks up churches.

“You hardly need to be reminded that fallen pastors and priests did not ‘suddenly’ fall. More often than not, pornography played a role in their downward spiral,” Swindoll wrote.

But there is hope.

"Help exists," Smith said. "There are hundreds of reputable agencies and ministries that specialize in overcoming pornography addiction. Some of them are even free: www.XXXchurch.com being one of them. The greatest need any person struggling with pornography abuse has is accountability. That individual should seek a person of authority to whom he/she is accountable in this arena of their lives."

Several other ministries exist for Christians seeking help with pornography such as Pure Life, The Meadows and Pure Intimacy. There are abundant resources available on the Internet and in books, including www.blazinggrace.org, a website dedicated to the issues of pornography and sex addiction, and foreverfamilies.byu.edu.

“It’s not just an adolescent male thing that guys grow out of,” said Rusty Rohr, a recovering pornography addict in the Pure Life recovery program. “It’s a serious problem, a heart issue. … And men can find freedom, not just cleaned up behavior.”

Meanwhile, the annual WRAP Week is continuing to raise awareness about the pervasive problem and help those affected. Now in its 24th run, the WRAP Week campaign is collaborating with ex-**** stars, filtering companies, scholars, therapists and others in more than 20 national events.

Also, in conjunction with the Oct. 30-Nov. 6 WRAP Week, Morality in Media is launching its second Be Aware: **** HARMS National Awareness Campaign.

“[Pornography] is destroying families and is the main contributor to the exploitation of women and children. Pornography is the gateway to the sex industry and the harm must end,” said Patrick Trueman, president of MIM, in a statement.

Editor's note: This is the first in a three-part series about pornography. Part two will tell the story of a wife whose marriage was affected by pornography; part three will focus on Pure Life ministry, a program designed to help Christian couples recover from pornography addiction.

It's sad that enough news is about the virus known as p0rnography that this is a concern.. eh?

You know, that brings up something I had heard one day that fits right into this concept.

Sin is a parasite.
It cannot exist on it's own, it must have a host to feed from.
The more you feed it, the larger it grows.

the word filter only works if you pay to have ads removed. I could pay it for a month or 2 but i cant afford to keep it up every month. Im budgeted. plus if i miss a month than everything would revert back. It didnt do that when i first started the site.  Angry

P0rn and the church member

A study conducted by LifeWay Research reveals that p0rnography has adversely affected the lives of church members.

The survey of a thousand American Protestant pastors shows that while most of them concur that viewing of p0rn has adversely affected members of their flocks, almost half are unable to estimate what percentage of those members actually view p0rnography.

"A number of pastors were really unwilling to discuss the topic -- and 14 percent of them were not even willing to relate to how it has impacted the lives of their members," says LifeWay Research spokesman Scott McConnell. "But among those who did, 81 percent agreed that p0rnography has adversely affected the lives of their church members, including 42 percent who strongly agreed with that statement."

Most of the pastors surveyed felt that less than 10 percent of their members are involved in p0rnography on a regular basis. But McConnell says it is important for people, including pastors, to understand the church is not immune to the problem.

"Most studies that have dug in deeply on sexual issues do show church attendees are less likely to be caught up in some of those sinful activities," he acknowledges, "but it's still present. And so when it's so pervasive in our society today, it's important for us to be aware that it's going to be impacting some of the members of our churches."

McConnell also tells OneNewsnow that the Bible provides God's plan for sexuality -- and it is a message that the church needs to hear regularly, he points out, because church members are also hearing the culture speak in a direction contrary to biblical teaching.

The survey, conducted in October 2010, addressed the estimated viewing habits of both men and women in congregations.

A good story for once, but i see it being eventually overturned, especially as the world falls more and more into degradation.

'Reducing secondary effects' of adult clubs

The Missouri Supreme Court has upheld a new state law that tightens its grip on the adult "entertainment" industry, and anti-pornography activists believe The Show Me State has set the standard for the rest of the nation.

Phillip Cosby, director of the American Family Association of Kansas, says the vote on the restrictive law was unanimous, but the verdict reportedly shocked some adult club owners who have been fighting the restrictions for almost two years.

"They must be closed at midnight; dancers must be six feet away from patrons -- eliminating lap dances, couch dances," he reports on the stipulations. "There are no private VIP rooms where prostitution [is] encouraged, no minors can enter, no one that has a criminal background can work or own a sexually-oriented business, and the list goes on."

Further, **** dancing and the sale of alcoholic beverages are no longer permitted. At least one venue has closed since the rules went into effect, while others had hoped the court would throw out the law.

"It's just really a homerun for Missouri and should be an earthquake that's felt not only throughout this region, but even nationally, how sound the courts have upheld this law," Cosby suggests.

In its 41-page ruling, the court said the businesses are not banned by the law, which "seeks to reduce negative secondary effects associated with such businesses, including detrimental health and sanitary conditions, prostitution and drug-related crimes both inside and outside these locations, as well as deterioration of the surrounding neighborhoods." The court also determined that the business' free-speech rights are not being violated.

Meanwhile, attorneys for such establishments have not announced whether they will try to take the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Quote
no one that has a criminal background can work or own a sexually-oriented business, and the list goes on."

That right there just put 3/4 of the industry out of work!

What do they define as a "criminal background"?

See, while I agree that those type business entice people to sin, and it would be better they didn't exist, the problem I have with these type situations is that people are trying to play both sides of the debate.

My point is that some don't want this stuff, and they do whatever they can to deny others who support it. That is not fair to those who are not under the same beliefs as Christians. Those deviants don't go by the bible, they live by the secular US law and the Constitution. That is an unbeliever issue in the secular community, being fought by non-Christians.

Point blank, Christians have no business meddling in the affairs of the secular world, period.

But it's not Christians though that are pushing stuff like this, it's churchianity and their arrogant hypocritical attitude that drives this stuff and makes Christianity look bad.

These people don't live as Christians, so what right under the system they do live, do people have to deny a person the rights under the secular system they choose to live under? If you take away the opposition based on religion, and those that think it's exploiting women, what's left? It's not a sin to them and they want it, and the secular law doesn't prevent it, so what right do others have in denying them that freedom? They don't have that right, not under their laws.

It's like a Christian walking into a pagan temple and trying to tell them they are worshipping paganism wrong, because the bible says so, when the pagans don't even acknowledge the bible. Does that make sense? Jesus Himself taught and "protested" against the actions of the Jews right in the temple multiple times, and they still did evil in His sight, and still do to this day. Now if Jesus Himself didn't get them to turn there on the spot, what does that tell you? Man surely can't do it on his own through legislation or protests. It is between that individual and God.

It's up to God to change them, not us. We pray that they all may be saved, but in the end God decides.

People have a lot of nerve running around protesting sex shops, girly magazines, etc when their own lives need to be examined. They can't even live a decent Christian life, and they think they have any credibility in telling secular lost people they can't live that way? Man on his own does not have any credibility. That's why Jesus gave us the Holy Ghost, so He could work through us as He desires, not as we think it ought to be.

The world is pure evil, Jesus tells us that, and He also tells us to leave them alone...

13   But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14   Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Matthew 15:13,14 (KJB)

The P0rn0graphic pandemic - we are awash in P0rn

November 18, 2011

In a conversation with a priest in my diocese, I shared my spiritual director’s report that every other confession he hears from men involves the sin of ****ography. The pastor’s response was shocking: “Oh, it’s much worse than that!” Since then, this sad reality has been confirmed by many others: The sin of ****ography is overwhelming Catholic men.

****ography is now more popular than baseball. In fact, it has become America’s pastime, and we are awash in it. **** is on our computers, our smartphones, and our cable or satellite TV. It’s common in our hotels and even in many retail stores and gas stations. For many men — and, increasingly, women — it is part of their daily lives.

Yet, Catholic teaching on the subject is clear. Use of ****ography is a “grave offense.” The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “****ography … offends against chastity because it perverts the conjugal act, the intimate giving of spouses to each other. It does grave injury to the dignity of its participants (actors, vendors, the public), since each one becomes an object of base pleasure and illicit profit for others” (2354).

In Life of Christ, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen wrote, “The penalty of those who live too close to the flesh is to never understand the spiritual.” **** ****ography on the Internet offers an ocean of perversion. It takes the mind where it should never go, loosening its moral moorings and leaving it adrift in a treacherous sea of sin. That is the fate of those who give themselves over to ****ography: They find themselves alone with their images and an insatiable appetite for more.

While astounding to many, users of ****ography eventually put religion, marriage, family, work and friendships secondary to their desire for ****ography. They may want to change, to go back to life as it was before ****, but most will return and descend further. Dr. Mary Anne Layden, director of the University of Pennsylvania’s Sexual Trauma and Psychopathology Program at the Center for Cognitive Therapy, likens ****ography to crack ****. In a testimony to the U.S. Senate in November 2004, she noted, “This material is potent, addictive and permanently implanted in the brain.”

Sadly, for the regular consumer of ****ography, confession and contrition are normally not sufficient to break from ****ography because, like drug abuse, ****ography is not just a bad habit — it is often an addiction.

A DESIRE THAT DOES NOT SATISFY

Addiction to ****ography is now commonplace among adults and is even a growing problem for children and teenagers. Few who are addicted will get help, and the consequences can be lifelong and severe.

****ography’s addictive strength is a result of long-term, sometimes lifelong, neuroplastic changes in the brain. Psychiatrist Norman Doidge, author of the best-selling book The Brain That Changes Itself (Penguin, 2007), writes, “****ography, by offering an endless harem of sexual objects, hyperactivates the appetitive system. **** viewers develop new maps in their brains, based on the photos and videos they see. Because it is a use-it-or-lose-it brain, when we develop a map area, we long to keep it activated. Just as our muscles become impatient for exercise if we’ve been sitting all day, so too do our senses hunger to be stimulated” (108).

With ****ography, in other words, our brain’s pleasure system that excites our desires is activated, but there is no real satisfaction. This explains why users can spend endless hours searching for ****ography on the Internet.

Doidge further notes that **** viewers develop tolerances so that they need higher and higher levels of stimulation. Thus, they often move to harder, more deviant ****ography. More than a decade ago, Margaret A. Healy, adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Law, and Muireann O’Brian, former head of End Child ****ography, Prostitution and Trafficking (ECPAT), observed a link between adult and child ****ography. Since that time, scores of current and former law enforcement authorities have noted that many adult **** consumers will eventually move to child ****ography, even if they are not ****s and had no interest is such material at first. These findings account, in part, for the prevalence of child ****ography in the world today.

Viewing **** changes the user’s attitude toward sex, his or her spouse and society. He or she uses sexual fantasies to get aroused, tries to get partners to act out ****ographic scenes, is more likely to engage in sexual harassment and sexual aggression, and views sex as a casual, non-intimate, recreational privilege. Laydon and other clinical psychologists have reported that, ironically, erectile dysfunction is commonly associated with constant **** use among men. One reason for this is that the constant search for sexual images and often-accompanying **** lead to dissatisfaction with one’s spouse. After all, a man’s wife cannot possibly maintain an image that competes with the women in the fantasy world of ****ographic videos and images. The regular **** consumer sets himself up for disappointment and the almost-certain disintegration of his marriage.

Marital love is meant to be a total giving of oneself to a lifelong, faithful partner. It is a trusting, selfless giving. By contrast, ****ographic sex is selfish, demeaning and mechanical. In his catechesis on the theology of the body, Pope John Paul II emphasized that there is a “moral goodness” in marriage, which is faithfulness. That goodness can be adequately achieved only in the exclusive relationship of both parties. Too many people miss out on that unique goodness of marriage and settle for the temporary, perverted and unfulfilling excitement of ****ography.

PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN

A father has a duty to keep his children from ****ography and a sacred obligation to set an example of purity for his family. What greater authority could a father have about the harms of ****ography than the words of Christ?: “But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Mt 5:28).

If you have become a **** consumer, ask yourself this: Am I the same man who professed fidelity to my wife on my wedding day? Fidelity cannot be maintained if one consumes ****ography. Wives of **** consumers feel as though their husbands are committing adultery. Affairs of the mind are every bit as destructive as affairs of the heart.

Divorce lawyers report a high correspondence between ****ography consumption and divorces. One 2004 study in Social Science Quarterly titled “Adult Social Bonds and Use of Internet ****ography” revealed that persons having an extramarital affair were more than three times more likely to have accessed Internet **** than those who did not have affairs. Further, those ever having engaged in paid sex were 3.7 times more apt to be using Internet **** than those who had not.

If you have a **** habit, your children may follow. Many ****ography addicts report that their first exposure to **** was the discovery of their parent’s **** collection, which started them on a life of sexual confusion and exploitation. A 2006 survey of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children revealed that 79 percent of youth gain unwanted exposure to ****ography in the home.

To a child, ****ography normalizes sexual harm, according to Dr. Sharon Cooper, a pediatrician at the University of North Carolina. “Research has shown that the prefrontal cortex — the home of good judgment, common sense, impulse control and emotions — is not completely mature until children are 20-22 years of age,” she explained. The introduction of ****ography to the brain’s prefrontal cortex is therefore devastating to key areas of a child’s development and may be life-altering. “When a child sees adult ****ography … their brains will convince them that they are actually experiencing what they are seeing,” Cooper added. In other words, what a child sees in **** is what they believe is reality.

Some children will actually emulate what they see in ****ography and experiment on siblings, relatives and friends. Many studies show that children exposed to ****ography initiate sexual activity at an earlier age, have more sex partners, and have multiple partners in a short period of time. A 2001 study in the journal Pediatrics also found that teenage girls exposed to ****ographic movies have sex more frequently and have a strong desire to become pregnant.

THERE IS HELP AND HOPE

Thankfully, there are organizations, counselors and resources that provide hope for those suffering from the destructive effects of ****ography on children, marriages, relationships and society. Many who have been addicted — adults and children alike — have been helped through counseling or online exercises offered by recovery services.

It is critical, however, that each person and each family does a reality check. Ask yourselves whether you and your family are protected from the scourge of ****ography. Do you have adequate parental control or filtering software on your home computer? Is the computer in an open area of the home? If you have children, have you talked to them about the spiritual and social cost of ****ography? Do you have premium cable or satellite channels on your TV that offer ****ography as regular fare?

If you are viewing ****ography or indecent material, you are harming your very soul and perhaps those of your children and your spouse. The biblical warning is severe: “If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out” (Mk 9:47). At a minimum, make sure that your computer both at home and in the office is filtered and that you have an “accountability partner” — perhaps your wife or a good friend — who has access to your computer and the sites you visit. Finally, get involved in the war on ****ography. It is worth the fight for you, your family and your nation.

The Pornography Epidemic by Bryan Denlinger

In this study we will look at the pornography problem that is running rampant in the world, and even in the church!

First you will see from the Bible that pornography is in fact condemned as a sin. Next we will look at whether pornography is a spiritual, or a fleshly problem.

Finally we will go over 7 things that you need to do if you are having problems with pornography in your life. You CAN have victory over this sin!

This study contains a huge amount of scripture, as well as statistics from secular and Christian sources.

Teacher accused of using school computers for adult site
Wednesday, November 16, 2011

STOCKTON, Calif. (KGO) -- A high school teacher in Stockton is on suspension after being accused of using school computers to set up an adult website with a city policeman as a partner.

Thirty-five-year old Heidi Kaeslin is on paid leave. She's accused of operating several for-profit websites using a school computer, most of them adult.

Students at Lincoln High in Stockton, where Kaeslin worked, can't believe it.

An investigation is underway to determine whether action should be taken against Kaeslin.

The policeman, who retired this year, has admitted his involvement in the adult sites.

And let's not forget about Rupert Murdoch, who's a major player in the **** industry - funny how his pastor, Rick Warren, condemned p0rnagraphy, and said how if there are any public sins in the church, they should be made public, but he says not a word when Murdoch set up all these **** media channels.

Be doers of the word, and not hearers only...a double minded man is unstable in all his ways...

**** replacing sex education
'Discussion of sex and intimacy is too often avoided in schools'

A rising number of children are learning about sex from watching ****ography because sex education lessons are inadequate, researchers have found.

The average age at which children first watch ****ography is just 11, interviews with 140 pupils, teachers and people working in the **** industry also revealed.

So they admit they want to teach children how to have sex, properly no doubt. The bible teaches everything there is that we need to know about sex, without showing the first image or use of vulgar unedifying language, so I know it can be done. God already did it, BUT, it is the parents job to teach their own children, not the community indoctrination camps.

It's not unexpected that the world is carnally-minded.

And may I add that **** also destroy relationships of couples who do not share the same view about this kind of videography. A friend of mine whose husband is so addictive to **** find it hard to perform in the bed because she's afraid that she may not reach his standards. And the insecurity and coldness between the couple goes on and on. That's really sad. Sad

For the most part, I'm surprised by the number of today's Christians that regularly watch FOX News - FNC is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who not only has promoted these Emergent Church leaders via his Zonderfan/Harper Collins pub companies, but has many p0rn networks around the world.

Overcoming the **** Problem
New documentary wisely shines a light on personal stories, rather than just the 'experts'

When filmmaker Sean Finnegan first considered doing a documentary on the problem of ****ography, he knew he didn’t want to merely cite facts and figures interwoven with sound bites from experts. He thought the best way to tell this story was to, well, tell a story – and in the case of Out of the Darkness, now available on DVD, he found a powerful one in former **** actress Shelley Lubben, who now runs a ministry helping others to escape the sex industry and find hope and healing in Christ.

“Stories matter,” says Finnegan. “Most of the work done on ****ography revolves around the issues of free speech and legislation, or the science behind addiction. But films are not essays or treatises. Films, like novels and poems and plays, are here to tell stories. And that is enough. If that is done well, we will, as Conrad said, gain a glimpse into the truth for which we forgot to ask.

“What stories can do for us is put faces on their topics. No matter how intense the debate around ****ography becomes, the debate is really about human beings.”

Finnegan aims his camera at four such humans, including two who have come out of the darkness themselves, Lubben (don't worry; this website is safe) and recovered sex addict Mark Houck. Finnegan also interviews family therapist Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons and sexual revolution historian Dr. Judith Reisman, who are much more than mere “talking heads” here; Fitzgibbons and Reisman also tell stories, including one Reisman shares about a daughter who was raped. While Lubben and Houck focus more on their personal testimonies, the other two describe the culture and societal breakdown that got America into this mess – and yes, it’s presented as chiefly an American problem. After all, almost 90 percent of all **** sites originate in the U.S.

Reisman gives some fascinating background about how Dr. Albert Kinsey’s post-WWII sex research – including the infamous “Kinsey Reports” – sparked America’s sexual revolution. She disputes Kinsey’s “science” as fraudulent, but says academia, the media, and the general population accepted it as true, including the notion that we’re all just basically sexual animals, so why not just go for it? Fitzgibbons adds that many of us have embraced what he calls a “sexual utilitarian philosophy,” resulting in a breakdown of the family, a collapse of morality, and on a personal level, profound loneliness, sadness, and narcissism. It’s all a recipe for the **** industry to flourish.

But most compelling are the stories from Lubben and Houck. The latter tells how he grew up a “normal” guy, but how, shortly after his father died when he was just 11, he became a loner. He discovered his first Playboy as a pre-teen and got hooked on the magazines, and later on Internet ****, to the point where he was spending up to four hours a day on his habit. Houck struggled with his addiction for 16 years before finally realizing how destructive it was and making the decision to break free. He did so mainly by recommitting to his Christian faith, and while that story isn’t told in great detail here, Houck makes it clear that his disciplined pursuit of righteousness that made the difference – more than his decision to simply avoid the temptation. It was the pursuit of the good more than the mere fleeing of the bad that helped him win the battle.

Well, it's Jesus that won the battle for him, but I hear what they are saying. I agree too, it's better to focus on what we should be doing, than what we shouldn't be doing.

P0rn blamed for children's problem sexual behaviour

VICTORIAN children as young as five are being referred to specialist programs to address sexually abusive behaviour - and the number of minors exhibiting such behaviour is exploding.

The availability of p0rnography through portable devices drastically affects a child's understanding of acceptable sexual behaviour, according to experts, and is being blamed for the rapid escalation in cases.

Children sexually molesting other children, and p0rn is at the root: Australian experts

Children’s aid and sex abuse organizations in Victoria State report that they are dealing with a rising number of cases of children sexually abusing other children, and point to the proliferation and easy availability of p0rn on portable devices as the cause.

Bernie Geary, Child Safety Commissioner of Victoria State told The Age, ‘‘If you’re prepared to put your child out there in a world where they’re going to be inundated with this sort of information [p0rnography], you need to be able to a) protect them, or b) expect what the fairly miserable consequences will be.”

Purpose Driven Pornography: Why Rick Warren Must Publicly Discipline Rupert Murdoch

By Ken Silva

Apprising Ministries

"Rick Warren: Purpose-Driven Pornography?," a news release from my friend Chris Rosebrough that concerns Southern Baptist Pastor Rick Warren and Rupert Murdoch, is certainly a most disturbing piece of information. Rosebrough, who heads up the Christian Accountability Network, was also on Crosstalk the other day with Ingrid Schlueter to discuss this very important issue that I am bringing further into the light here. In an article called "Revealed: Murdoch's growing adult television empire" in the online magazine The Business we are told:

RUPERT Murdoch, the born-again Christian who chairs media giant News Corporation, has been secretly building a stable of wholly-owned pornographic channels for his BSkyB subsidiary. The Business has learnt that BSkyB now owns and operates its own pornographic channels – the 18+ Movies selection – after years of hosting third-party content only. [1]

So Rosebrough is exactly right when he tells the Christian Newswire:

Rupert Murdoch is a born-again Christian and Rick Warren claims to be his pastor. As a Christian, Murdoch is committing an egregious sin by owning, expanding and profiting from pornographic channels and Rick Warren, as his pastor, has a Biblical duty to call Murdoch to repentance and/or put him out of the church
. [2]

This really is nothing new as in December of 2006 Agape Press ran an Feature article by Ed Vitagliano called "**** Profits Surge on Main Street" where he quotes Gail Dines, professor of American Studies at Boston's Wheelock College, who tells us:

"[Rupert Murdoch's] News Corp. is a major owner of DirecTV, which sells more pornographic films than [Hustler magazine founder and **** film producer Larry] Flynt," Dines explained. "In 2000, the New York Times reported that nearly $200 million a year is spent by the 8.7 million subscribers to DirecTV. Among News Corp.'s other media holdings are the Fox broadcasting and cable TV networks, Twentieth Century Fox, the New York Post, and TV Guide. Welcome to synergy: Murdoch also owns HarperCollins, which published pornography star Jenna Jameson's best-selling book How To Make Love Like A **** Star." [3]

And not only is Murdoch profiting from "best-selling books" by **** stars and pornographic TV channels but as Rosebrough's A Little Leaven website also shows Rupert Murdoch has been profiting from peddling titillating soft-core **** for years as well with The Sun long notorious for the nudity of its infamous "Page 3":

They say is picture is worth a thousand words. We hate having to post these pictures but they show the problem better than we can ever say it.

The picture on the left is a screen shot taken from The Sun. This is a tabloid printed in the UK that also happens to be owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. [4](Online source, original)

As one who is a pastor-teacher myself, I would never knowingly allow sin to go on undisciplined by anyone associated with the flock for which Christ has made me an under-shepherd. So the question we need to ask now would be: Is Rick Warren personally responsible for Rupert Murdoch? He is because he claims to be Murdoch's pastor. The Orange County Examiner informs us in November of 2006 that:

Warren says he is pastor to Rupert Murdoch, whose News Corp. subsidiary publishes "The Purpose-Driven Life" but also publishes tabloid newspapers featuring **** women.

"I don't have to agree with 100 percent of what another person does in order to work with them on the 20 percent that we do agree on," Warren says
.

That pragmatic attitude has paid off. Murdoch was among the first to support the PEACE plan, donating $2 million. [5]

So now we can see that Rick Warren already at least knew about Murdoch's newspaper which features soft core ****, however, apparently he chose to ignore that 80 percent in sin and focus on "the 20 percent" that equaled $2 million. And claiming to be Murdoch's pastor is not an isolated event either. According to a piece entitled "New Yorker article on the ministry of Rick Warren by Malcolm Gladwell," which "originally appeared in The New Yorker magazine on Sept. 12, 2005," and was also reprinted in Rick Warren's Ministry Toolbox, Warren himself tells us again that he is Murdoch's pastor and not only that but Murdoch also published his book:

"I had dinner with Jack Welch last Sunday night," he said. "He came to church, and we had dinner. I've been kind of mentoring him on his spiritual journey. And he said to me, 'Rick, you are the biggest thinker I have ever met in my life. The only other person I know who thinks globally like you is Rupert Murdoch.' And I said, 'That's interesting. I'm Rupert's pastor! Rupert published my book!'" Then he tilted back his head and gave one of those big Rick Warren laughs. [6]

This is very important because we have now seen from Warren himself that he feels he is indeed Rupert Murdoch's pastor. This does two things; since one does not pastor an unbeliever, Warren must believe that Murdoch is a Christian, which then means as his pastor Warren is also personally accountable for Murdoch. And there's no chance to mistake this, or that Warren was somehow misquoted, because apparently he was so pleased with The New Yorker article that Warren asked to have it republished at his own Ministry Toolbox website.

So now that we have established Warren's pastoral responsibility for Murdoch the next question would be: What does Pastor Rick Warren have to say about dealing with people in sin within his ministry. Well over at Rick Warren's Ministry Podcast "Pastor Rick" posted a piece dated 5/01/07 called "What Happens When a Staff Member Falls" where Warren informs us:

Sin is to be confessed only as widely as it affects others. Private sin requires only private confession to God. Personal sin that involves others requires interpersonal confession to the people involved. Public sins (those that affect a large group of people in our congregation) regrettably must be dealt with publicly as a warning to others
. [7] Roll Eyes

One would certainly have to think that "owning and expanding a network of pornographic channels in Europe" has to qualify as "public sins." And then in that piece at the Podcast website Warren also states correctly that:

The Bible says that those who teach are held to a greater public accountability because of their visibility to those they teach. (James 3:1, 1 Tim. 5:20). [8]

Since Rupert Murdoch's flagrant and obvious "public sins" have now been brought before the Church, and because Warren is a pastor-teacher who is very well known to the public himself, then Warren simply must deal with Murdoch publicly "as a warning to others." Rick Warren can't have his cake and eat it too; Warren can't just name-drop that he is Murdoch's pastor in the good times and then not step up to that role in disciplining Murdoch, when claiming to be a born again Christian, he is openly committing transgressions that are bringing shame to the Name of Jesus Christ.

As Warren himself has said, people like Murdoch have to be held to a greater "public accountability" because of "their visibility." And this is exactly why Rick Warren must now publicly rebuke Rupert Murdoch for his Purpose Driven pornography.

Mark, did you read the entire article?

Ken Silva(the author of the article) was EXPOSING Warren and Murdoch(Murdoch's ties to ****, and Warren staying silent on this issue despite Murdoch being in his flock).

No, Silva was speaking about them in a positive light or anything - he was merely pointing out how even though Warren CLAIMS to be a Southern Baptist pastor, and Murdoch CLAIMS to be a born again Christian.

Silva has exposed the Emergent heresy many times in his columns.

Edit: Don't forget the **** which blocks out the word p0rn.

Warren claims to be a 4th generation Southern Baptist, which I think Silva was alluding to.
