When Will Black America Wake Up on Abortion?

It’s common for the black political establishment to claim white conservatives and their policies cause black America’s problems. It’s a shame this accusation is never challenged because in many ways it is the black establishment that is enabling decline.

There is, for example, a chasm of fatherlessness in black America that breeds malcontents. A man-child mentality permeates communities in which morally malnourished minors learn life lessons from pornographic and misogynistic rap songs glorifying “thug life.” Yet government programs make single-parent households and absent fathers advantageous.

Is this more the fault of Lyndon Johnson and his Great Society welfare-state agenda or Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI)?

Inner-cities resemble Misrata more than Mayberry. In New York City, a recent headline read “15-Yr-Old Fatally Shot At Brooklyn Playground, 13-Yr-Old Injured.” In Chicago, the news is “Gang Violence Leaves Two Men Shot.” And while blacks comprised only 32.4 percent of the Chicago population in 2009, police report that 71.6 percent of those arrested that year were black.

Youth mobs rob stores and terrorizing innocent bystanders. 18 of the 19 wealthy pro football players arrested during the recent NFL labor lockout were black.

Is George W. Bush responsible for lax attitudes toward criminality, or perhaps 50 Cent?

In an alternate reality, there also might be approximately 54 million blacks alive in America today. Due to abortion, there are only about 39 million.

The National Black Prolife Coalition estimates 1,000 black babies are aborted every day. Nearly one in three black pregnancies end in abortion each year in America. In New York City alone, almost 47 percent, or 40,798, of the city’s 87,273 abortions in 2009 reportedly were performed on black women.

According to 2005 data from the Center for Disease Control, abortion killed more blacks than the combined top seven other leading causes of death that year (including homicide — and abortion data was only available from 36 states, New York City and the District of Columbia). Alveda King, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece, rightly says: “The most dangerous place for an African-American is in the womb!”

So who’s more responsible for black America’s abortion epidemic: Phyllis Schlafly or Faye Wattleton?

The NAACP removes all doubt about who’s to blame when it comes to education. In New York, the local NAACP joined the United Federation of Teachers in a lawsuit to block the closure of 22 “failing” public schools and to threaten the existence of 15 charter schools. The NAACP supports underperforming government schools at the expense of popular charter schools catering to an overwhelming minority enrollment.

Last year, a congressional panel convicted U.S. Representative Charlie Rangel (D-NY) of 11 ethics violations that included illegal fundraising and not reporting income. The veteran lawmaker’s punishment? He got a slap-on-the-wrist from his colleagues and his constituents re-elected him with a modest 80 percent of the vote.

Why let Rangel off so easy? For such a powerful member, the poverty rate of his district was 24.3 percent in 2009 (compared to the national average of 14.3 percent). Furthermore, an April 2005 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation report found an average poverty rate among congressional districts with black members of Congress was nearly 19 percent. Yet these seats are among the safest in Congress.

Elsewhere, the first black president presides over economic chaos in which black households seem hit the hardest.

The Economic Policy Institute found that, in 2007, white households had a median net worth of $134,280 compared with $13,450 for black households. By 2009, the median net worth for white households plummeted 24 percent to $97,860, but that black households dropped by 83 percent to $2,170.

Yet blacks still support President Obama’s big government approach. In June, Obama enjoyed an 86 percent approval rating among blacks.

Ku Klux Klan killers once stalked black neighborhoods. Today, most murders are black-on-black. Margret Sanger’s “Negro Project” once sought to “exterminate the Negro population.” Today, blacks willingly fulfill the Planned Parenthood founder’s mission. It’s self-sabotage.

There is no pleasure in painting a picture so bleak, but the stakes are too high and cost is too great to sit in silence.

Pro-lifer: Blacks 'exterminating' themselves

A pro-life advocate in Kansas is battling to fight the growing epidemic of abortion among blacks.

Reports indicate abortion is the leading cause of death within the African-American community in the U.S. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), since 1973 -- the year of the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade -- 13 million African-American lives have been lost to abortion.

Peggy Elliott Ministries was honored with a $2,500 grant at the recent Servant Awards celebration in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Peggy Elliott, ministry founder and president, says it is time for the genocide to stop.

"Between abortion and black-on-black crime, as a people group we're exterminating ourselves. We're not loving our children in the womb or outside of the womb," she shares. "So I have to do whatever it is that I can do to help save babies' lives and to make an impact on our culture.

"We've become a culture of death -- and I want to be one of those used by God to move us from a culture of death to a culture of life."

The numbers are indeed startling. In 2009, a full 41% of all pregnancies in New York City - twice the national rate - were terminated by abortion, for a total of 87,274. Among the city’s black women, the rate was close to 60%.

The purpose of this web site is to expose the disproportionate amount of Black babies destroyed by the abortion industry. For every two African American women that get pregnant one will choose to abort.
A Black baby is 5 times more likely to be killed in the womb than a White Baby.

Statistics from The Alan Guttmaucher Institute

"Frankly I had thought that at that time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of."

7/2/09 Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

The most dangerous place for an African American to be is in the womb of their African American mother.

D.C. City Council Wants to Kill More Black Babies in Abortions

Today, members of the DC City Council, along with liberal activist group DC Vote, are protesting on Capitol Hill to demand that taxpayers fund DC’s abortions.

Back in April of this year, DC Mayor Vincent Gray and other DC City Council members were arrested while engaged in a similar vile and surreal demonstration.  They were protesting against federal funding of school choice (rescuing black children from failing schools) at the SAME TIME they demanded that Congress re-institute funding to kill unborn black children.

How does one reconcile supporting the needless death of its citizens while denouncing urgently needed educational resources for precious children once they’re born?

The incompetence of DC’s City Council is staggering. Their argument is based in deceptive “self-governance” rhetoric, which is disallowed by the Constitution.  You know, that silly document that establishes how DC is governed. Considering their abject failure to perform their duties in the District, losing hundreds of millions of dollars of reimbursements because of gross incompetence, statehood is a scary prospect.  Pro-abortion Mayor Gray, numerous DC City Council members, and DC Vote activists were protesting Congress’ withholding of about $65,000 to kill unborn children trying to make it a self-governance issue.  Their inability to collect $347 million dollars because of their continual corruption and sheer ineptness to properly fill out paperwork dwarfs any DC Medicaid abortion funding. (Note: DC Department of Health Care Finance verifies this “disallowance” but underreports the amount on their DC.gov site.)

By the way, let’s be clear about who those “low-income” women are; 81% of DC Medicaid enrollees are black. These are the ones Mayor Gray and the DC City Council are insisting should kill their babies. These “leaders” cannot be trusted with our tax dollars, nor with the lives of our children…born and unborn. They speak of a Free DC? The first step is to break free of the ideological slavery that justifies abortion for any reason and at any cost, despite the devastation that it has caused black communities across the United States. Abortion has never lessened poverty, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, but this doesn’t stop abortion apologists from making the claim that it is the “uplift out of poverty.”

Rev. Luke Robinson: ‘They Want Us To Be Silent' on Abortion 'Because the President Is a Black Man’

At the March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Monday, the Rev. Luke Robinson said that pro-choice activists want black leaders to be silent about what legalized abortion is doing to America because President Barack Obama is black.

“These so-called freedom fighters, just the instruments of the culture of death, they want us to be silent because the president is a black man,” said Rev. Robinson, who is pastor of the Quinn Chapel AME Church in Frederick, Md. “But he and his administration is leading this nation, and especially the African-Americans, to absolute destruction."

The Rev. Robinson was delivering the final address to the March for Life, which is held every year on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to protest the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that said abortion is a constitutional right.

“The call has been made for us to keep silent, to be quiet on this issue of abortion,” said Rev. Robinson. “How can we turn back when there are, when 60 percent of all African-American pregnancies in New York City ended in abortion? How can we be silent when 40 percent of the pregnancies in the Hispanic community in New York City was aborted?”

Rev. Robinson said that the large percentage of black babies who are aborted is a “tragedy,” and added: “Where is the president of change and hope? Where is Jesse Jackson? Where is Al Sharpton? Where is the NAACP? Where is the Black Congressional Congress--Caucus? And where for God’s sake is the voice of the African-American church and the pastor?

Abortion Practitioner Refers to Killing “Ugly Black Babies”

The abortion industry has always had a racial component — since the days of Margaret Sanger and her eugenics past — and more evidence of the inherent racism within abortion has come to light.

Day Gardner, President of the National Black Pro-Life Union, is alerting people to a video that shows abortion practitioner Ashutosh Ron Virmani referring to the black children that he kills as “ugly black babies.”

“Let me see one of you adopt one of those ugly black babies,” she says.

“Excuse me? It’s all too obvious that he has a particular disgust for black babies and therefore has no problems killing them,” Gardner responds. “The black community should be outraged because Ashutosh Virmani is a brazen racist and his statement supports what we already know of the billion dollar abortion industry–black babies are targeted because they are seen as poor, worthless and maybe even ‘ugly.’”

Various studies, including a 2011 Life Dynamics survey called, “Racial Targeting and Population Control,” have shown that Planned Parenthood, as well as other independent abortion facilities in America, target both African American and Hispanic communities by making sure their clinics are located in minority-dominated neighborhoods.

The Life Dynamics survey, which cross-examined zip codes of minority neighborhoods and abortion facilities, found that 83% of abortion or abortion-referring clinics are located in minority neighborhoods.

Report Proves Planned Parenthood Targets Blacks, Hispanics

A new reported issued by the pro-life group Life Dynamics proves that Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry in the United States target black and Hispanic Americans by placing abortion facilities in communities with high minority populations.

Titled, “Racial Targeting and Population Control,” the new report validates the claims pro-life advocates have made for years — and that Life Dynamics made in its groundbreaking Maafa21 video released two years ago — showing that abortion advocates have purposefully placed abortion centers in urban areas with high percentages of black and Hispanic residents.

Mark Crutcher and Carole Novielli conducted the research in the 24-page report and they say the location of abortion centers is the modern equivalent of the population control policies against minorities, especially African-Americans, that Planned Parenthood has supported since Margaret Sanger founded it. The researchers say they prepared the new report to respond to the criticism of the claims abortion advocates have made to the racial charges — and to point out a hypocrisy.

“The initial response to this documentary from people defending these organizations was to claim that they focus their facilities on minority neighborhoods because that is where the need is,” they write. “Almost immediately, however, they saw that this argument was creating a problem for them. Simply put, it is incompatible with one of their other arguments.”

Abortion advocates have always claimed that their main goal is to reduce unintended pregnancies and, by placing abortion centers and Planned Parenthood clinics in minority communities, abortion backers claimed their focus wasn’t promoting abortions to blacks and Hispanics but to help them reduce the number of unplanned pregnancies by promoting birth control and contraception.

“If that is true, in light of their concession that they have focused these things on the minority community, the obvious result should be that black women have the lowest pregnancy and abortion rates in the country,” they researchers write. Yet, a new study released by the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, a former Planned Parenthood research affiliate, shows birth control and contraception are not reducing abortions and unplanned pregnancies, especially in lower income minority areas.

“But to the contrary, in contemporary America, the rate of pregnancy among black women is almost three times as high as it is for white women and, though they make up less than 13% of the female population, black women have about 37% of the abortions,” the researchers write.

With that statistic in mind, the researchers set forth with the goal of mapping every abortion facility and Planned Parenthood center in the nation against population and racial demographic data sorted by zip code. They wanted to determine not only whether abortion centers were located in zip codes with high black and Hispanic populations but whether the black and Hispanic populations in the zip codes where abortion businesses were located exceeded the total percentage of the population of the particular state as a whole in terms of its minority population.

“We began by creating a database of the ZIP codes for every Planned Parenthood facility in the United States. This list was generated from Planned Parenthood’s website. We then used United States Census Bureau figures to establish the percentage of black and Hispanic people residing within each of these ZIP codes as well as within each state,” they write. “In reviewing this data, there are several things to keep in mind. The first is that the issue is not whether a ZIP code is predominately black or Hispanic but whether it is disproportionately black or Hispanic.”

The results were startling.

In Texas alone, 94 zip codes show either an abortion facility or a Planned parenthood abortion-referral clinic located there and 72 percent of the zip codes have populations that are disproportionately black and/or Hispanic.

The report also found multiple abortion centers in many super-minority populated areas. The New Jersey zip code 07631 has a black population 286.7% of the state’s overall percentage and a Hispanic population 163.9% of the state, they noted, and it has four abortion or abortion-referral centers. Minnesota zip code 55404 has a black population that is 797.1% of the overall state percentage and a Hispanic population 537.9% of the state and there are three abortion or abortion-referral clinics there.

The racial targeting is not limited to certain regions of the country. In Connecticut – a state thoroughly dissimilar from Texas in size, culture and geography – there are 21 zip codes where abortion centers or Planned Parenthood abortion-referral clinics are located and 15 of them have disproportionately black and/or Hispanic populations.

“Again, this pattern is repeated in state after state,” the researchers noted. “We identified 116 ZIP codes with more than one [abortion or abortion-referral facility]. Of those, 84 were disproportionately black and/or Hispanic. What this means is that, when the American family planning industry places multiple facilities in a ZIP code, that ZIP code is more than two-and-a-half times as likely to be disproportionately minority as not.”

“What we now know – and have documented – is that there is not one state in the union without [abortion] centers located in ZIP codes with higher percentages of blacks and/or Hispanics than the state’s overall percentage. In fact, Hawaii is the only state that does not have facilities located in ZIP codes exceeding 125% of their overall percentage,” they write. “Not only is this racial targeting widespread, it’s scale is often enormous. We found 42 states with family planning facilities in ZIP codes where the black and/or Hispanic populations exceeds 200% of the state’s overall percentage. More telling is that these percentages routinely go far beyond even this level. Numerous states have facilities in ZIP codes that range from 250% to well over 1,000% and it is not uncommon for them to have facilities located in many such ZIP codes.”

“In the end, this data speaks for itself and does not require a lot of analysis. The numbers make it clear that the African-American and Hispanic communities have been targeted and logic makes it clear that this did not happen coincidentally or unintentionally,” they concluded.

The Truth About Margaret Sanger!

(This article first appeared in the January 20, 1992 edition of Citizen magazine)

"No Gods - No Masters" -Margaret Sanger

How Planned Parenthood Duped America

At a March 1925 international birth control gathering in New York City, a speaker warned of the menace posed by the "black" and "yellow" peril. The man was not a Nazi or Klansman; he was Dr. S. Adolphus Knopf, a member of Margaret Sanger's American Birth Control League (ABCL), which along with other groups eventually became known as Planned Parenthood.

Sanger's other colleagues included avowed and sophisticated racists. One, Lothrop Stoddard, was a Harvard graduate and the author of The Rising Tide of Color against White Supremacy. Stoddard was something of a Nazi enthusiast who described the eugenic practices of the Third Reich as "scientific" and "humanitarian." And Dr. Harry Laughlin, another Sanger associate and board member for her group, spoke of purifying America's human "breeding stock" and purging America's "bad strains." These "strains" included the "shiftless, ignorant, and worthless class of antisocial whites of the South."

Not to be outdone by her followers, Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as "unfit," a plan she said would be the "salvation of American civilization.: And she also spike of those who were "irresponsible and reckless," among whom she included those " whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers." She further contended that "there is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped." That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of Sanger considered "unfit" cannot be easily refuted.

While Planned Parenthood's current apologists try to place some distance between the eugenics and birth control movements, history definitively says otherwise. The eugenic theme figured prominently in the Birth Control Review, which Sanger founded in 1917. She published such articles as "Some Moral Aspects of Eugenics" (June 1920), "The Eugenic Conscience" (February 1921), "The purpose of Eugenics" (December 1924), "Birth Control and Positive Eugenics" (July 1925), "Birth Control: The True Eugenics" (August 1928), and many others.

These eugenic and racial origins are hardly what most people associate with the modern Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), which gave its Margaret Sanger award to the late Dr. Martin Luther King in 1966, and whose current president, Faye Wattleton, is black, a former nurse, and attractive.

Though once a social pariah group, routinely castigated by religious and government leaders, the PPFA is now an established, high-profile, well-funded organization with ample organizational and ideological support in high places of American society and government. Its statistics are accepted by major media and public health officials as "gospel"; its full-page ads appear in major newspapers; its spokespeople are called upon to give authoritative analyses of what America's family policies should be and to prescribe official answers that congressmen, state legislator and Supreme Court justices all accept as "social orthodoxy."

Blaming Families

Sanger's obsession with eugenics can be traced back to her own family. One of 11 children, she wrote in the autobiographical book, My Fight for Birth Control, that "I associated poverty, toil, unemployment, drunkenness, cruelty, quarreling, fighting, debts, jails with large families." Just as important was the impression in her childhood of an inferior family status, exacerbated by the iconoclastic, "free-thinking" views of her father, whose "anti-Catholic attitudes did not make for his popularity" in a predominantly Irish community.

The fact that the wealthy families in her hometown of Corning, N.Y., had relatively few children, Sanger took as prima facie evidence of the impoverishing effect of larger families. The personal impact of this belief was heightened 1899, at the age of 48. Sanger was convinced that the "ordeals of motherhood" had caused the death of her mother. The lingering consumption (tuberculosis) that took her mother's life visited Sanger at the birth of her own first child on Nov. 18, 1905. The diagnosis forced her to seek refuge in the Adirondacks to strengthen her for the impending birth. Despite the precautions, the birth of baby Grant was "agonizing," the mere memory of which Sanger described as "mental torture" more than 25 years later. She once described the experience as a factor "to be reckoned with" in her zealous campaign for birth control.

From the beginning, Sanger advocacy of sex education reflected her interest in population control and birth prevention among the "unfit." Her first handbook, published for adolescents in 1915 and entitled, What Every Boy and Girl Should Know, featured a jarring afterward:

It is a vicious cycle; ignorance breeds poverty and poverty breeds ignorance.  There is only one cure for both, and that is to stop breeding these things.  Stop bringing to birth children whose inheritance cannot be one of health or intelligence.  Stop bringing into the world children whose parents cannot provide for them.

To Sanger, the ebbing away of moral and religious codes over sexual conduct was a natural consequence of the worthlessness of such codes in the individual's search for self-fulfillment. "Instead of laying down hard and fast rules of sexual conduct," Sanger wrote in her 1922 book Pivot of Civilization, "sex can be rendered effective and valuable only as it meets and satisfies the interests and demands of the pupil himself." Her attitude is appropriately described as libertinism, but sex knowledge was not the same as individual liberty, as her writings on procreation emphasized.

The second edition of Sanger's life story, An Autobiography, appeared in 1938. There Sanger described her first cross-country lecture tour in 1916. Her standard speech asserted seven conditions of life that "mandated" the use of birth control: the third was "when parents, though normal, had subnormal children"; the fourth, "when husband and wife were adolescent"; the fifth, "when the earning capacity of the father was inadequate." No right existed to exercise sex knowledge to advance procreation. Sanger described the fact that "anyone, no matter how ignorant, how diseased mentally or physically, how lacking in all knowledge of children, seemed to consider he or she had the right to become a parent."

Religious Bigotry

In the 1910's and 1920's, the entire social order–religion, law, politics, medicine, and the media–was arrayed against the idea and practice of birth control. This opposition began in 1873 when an overwhelmingly Protestant Congress passed, and a Protestant president signed into law, a bill that became known as the Comstock Law, named after its main proponent, Anthony Comstock. The U.S. Congress classified obscene writing, along with drugs, and devices and articles that prevented conception or caused abortion, under the same net of criminality and forbade their importation or mailing.

Sanger set out to have such legislation abolished or amended. Her initial efforts were directed at the Congress with the opening of a Washington, D.C., office of her American Birth Control League in 1926. Sanger wanted to amend section 211 of the U.S. criminal code to allow the interstate shipment and mailing of contraceptives among physicians, druggists and drug manufacturers.

During January and February of 1926, Sanger and her co-workers personally interviewed 40 senators and 14 representatives. None agreed to introduce a bill to amend the Comstock Act. Fresh from this unanimous rejection, Sanger issued an update to her followers: Everywhere there is general acceptance of the idea, except in religious circles. . .The National Catholic Welfare Council [sic] (NCWC) has a special legislative committee organized to block and defeat our legislation. They frankly state that they intend to legislate for non-Catholics according to the dictates of the church.

There was no such committee. But 20 non-Catholic lay or religious organizations joined NCWC in opposition to amending the Comstock Act. This was not the first time, nor was it to be the last, that Sanger sought to stir up sectarian strife by blaming Catholics for her legislative failures. Catholic-bashing was a standard tactic (one that Planned Parenthood still finds useful to this day), although other Christian groups now also come in for criticism.

Eight years later, in 1934, Sanger went to Congress again.  Reporting on the first day of the hearings, the New York Times noted:
... the almost solidly Catholic opposition to the measure. This is now, according to Margaret Sanger. . . the only organized opposition to the proposal.

Sanger wrote a letter to her "Friends, Co-workers, and Endorsers" that portrayed the opposing testimony as the work of Catholics determined ... not to present facts to the committee but to intimidate them by showing a Catholic block of voters who (though in the minority in the United States) want to dictate to the majority of non-Catholics as directed from the Vatican in social and moral legislation ... American men and women, are we going to allow this insulting arrogance to bluff the American people?

For Sanger, the proper attitude toward her religious critics featured character assassination, personal vilification and old-fashioned bigotry. Her Birth Control Review printed an article that noted: "Today by the Roman Catholic clergy and their allies . . . Public opinion in America, I fear, is too willing to condone in the officials of the Roman Catholic Church what it condemns in the Ku Klux Klan.

A favorite Catholic-baiter of Sanger's was Norman E. Himes, who contributed articles to Sanger's journal. Himes claimed there were genetic differences between Catholics and non-Catholics.

Are Catholic stocks . . . genetically inferior to such non-Catholic libertarian stocks and Unitarians and Universal . . . Freethinkers? Inferior to non-Catholics in general? . . . my guess is that the answer will someday be made in the affirmative. . . and if the supposed differentials in net productivity are also genuine, the situation is anti-social, perhaps gravely so.

Sanger sought to isolate Catholics by creating a schism between them and Protestants, who had held parallel views of birth control and abortion for centuries. She welcomed a report from a majority of the Committee on Marriage and the Home of the General Council of Churches (later the National Council of Churches) advocating birth control. This committee was composed largely of social elite Protestants, including Mrs. John D. Rockefeller, Jr. A number of Protestant church bodies publicly repudiated the committee's endorsement.

The Rev. Worth Tippy, council executive secretary and author of the report, told Sanger in April 1931 that: ... the statement on Moral Aspects of Birth Control has aroused more opposition within the Protestant churches than we expected. Under the circumstances, and since we plan to carry on a steady work for liberalizing laws and to stimulate the establishment of clinics, it is necessary that we make good these losses and also increase our resources.  Could you help me quietly by giving me the names of people of means who are interested in the birth control movement and might help us if I wrote them.

Sanger immediately wrote Tippy that she would be "glad to select names of persons from our lists whom I think might be able to subscribe." Tippy replied to Sanger a week later, offering to give her some names for fund raising and thanking her for the offer of "names of people who are able to contribute to generous causes and who are favorable to birth control." He also related that they had expected some reaction from the "fundamentalist groups," but nothing like what had happened.

Protestants repeatedly stated their unity with Catholics in opposing Planned Parenthood's initiatives. During Sanger's attempts to reform New York state law, another Protestant stood with Catholics. The Rev. John R. Straton, Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of New York City, said: "This bill is subversive of the human family . . . It is revolting, monstrous, against God's word and contradicts American traditions."

Sanger's attack on Catholics appeared to be an attempt to divert attention from the class politics of Planned Parenthood. The Rev. John A. Ryan wrote: ... their main objective is to increase the practice of birth-prevention among the poor . . . It is said that the present birth-prevention movement is to some extent financed by wealthy, albeit philanthropic persons. As far as I am aware , none of these is conspicuous in the movement for economic justice. None of them is crying out for a scale of wages which would enable workers to take care of a normal number of children.

Sanger's sexual license was another motivation for her Anti-Catholic sniping. A Sanger biographer, David M. Kennedy, said her primary goal was to "increase the quantity and quality of sexual relationships." The birth control movement, she said, freed the mind from "sexual prejudice and taboo, by demanding the frankest and most unflinching re-examination of sex in its relation to human nature and the basis of human society.

Sannger's ****

It was in 1939 that Sanger's larger vision for dealing with the reproductive practices of black Americans emerged. After the January 1939 merger of her Clinical Research Bureau and the ABCL to form the Birth Control Federation of America, Dr. Clarence J. **** was selected to become the BCFA regional director for the South. Dr. ****, of the soap-manufacturing Procter and **** company, was no newcomer to Sanger's organization. He had previously served as director at large to the predecessor ABCL.

**** lost no time and drew up a memorandum in November 1939 entitled "Suggestion for Negro Project." Acknowledging that black leaders might regard birth control as an extermination plot, he suggested that black leaders be place in positions where it would appear that they were in charge as it was at an Atlanta conference.

It is evident from the rest of the memo that **** conceived the project almost as a traveling road show. A charismatic black minister was to start a revival, with "contributions" to come from other local cooperating ministers. A "colored nurse" would follow, supported by a subsidized "colored doctor." **** even suggested that music might be a useful lure to bring the prospects to a meeting.

Sanger answered **** on Dec. 10. 1939, agreeing with the assessment. She wrote: "We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten that idea out if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." In 1940, money for two "Negro Project" demonstration programs in southern states was donated by advertising magnate Albert D. Lasker and his wife, Mary.

Birth control was presented both as an economic betterment vehicle and as a health measure that could lower the incidence of infant mortality. At the 1942 BCFA annual meeting, BCFA Negro Council board member Dr. Dorothy B. Ferebee–a cum laude graduate of Tufts and also president of Alpha Kappa Alpha, the nation's largest black sorority–addressed the delegates regarding Planned Parenthood's minority outreach efforts : With the Negro group some of the most difficult obstacles . . . to overcome are: (1) the concept that when birth control is proposed to them, it is motivated by a clever bit of machination to persuade them to commit race suicide; (2) the so-called "husband rejection" . . . (3) the fact that birth control is confused with abortion, and (4) the belief that is inherently immoral. However, as formidable as these objections may seem, when thrown against the total picture of the awareness on the part of the Negro leaders of the improved condition under Planned Parenthood, or the genuine interest and eagerness of the families themselves to secure the services which will give them a fair chance for health and happiness, the obstacles to the program are greatly outweighed.

Birth control as an economic improvement measure had some appeal to those lowest on the income ladder. In the black Chicago Defender for Jan. 10, 1942, a long three-column women's interest article discussed the endorsement of the Sanger program by prominent black women. There were at lease six express references, such as the following example, to birth control as a remedy for economic woes:" . . . it raises the standard of living by enabling parents to adjust the family size to the family income." Readers were also told that birth control" . . . is no operation. It is no abortion. Abortion kills life after it has begun. . . Birth Control is neither harmful nor immoral."

But the moral stumbling block could only be surmounted by Afro-American religious leaders, so black ministers were solicited. Florence Rose, long-time Sanger secretary, prepared an activities report during March 1942 detailing the progress of the "Negro Project." She recounted a recent meeting with a Planned Parenthood Negro Division board member, Bishop David H. Sims (African Methodist Episcopal Church), who appreciated Planned Parenthood's recognition of the extent of black opposition to birth control and its efforts to build up support among black leaders. He offered whatever assistance he could give.

Bishop Sims offered to begin the "softening process" among the representatives of different Negro denominations attending the monthly meetings of the Federal Council of Churches and its Division of Race Relations.

These and other efforts paid off handsomely after World War II. By 1949, virtually the entire black leadership network of religious, social, professional, and academic organizations had endorsed Planned Parenthood's program.

National Scandal

More than a decade later, Planned Parenthood continued targeting minority communities, but without much success.

In 1940, nonwhite women aged 18 to 19 experienced 61 births per 1,000 unmarried women. In 1968, the corresponding figure was 112 per 1,000, a 100 percent jump. What other factor could account for the increased rate of sexual activity than wider access to birth control, with its promise of sex without tears and consequences?

Alan Guttmacher, then president of Planned Parenthood, was desperate to show policy-makers that birth control would produce a situation whereby "minority groups who constantly outbreed the majority will no longer persist in doing so. . . "

Despite claims that racial or ethnic groups were not being "targeted," American blacks, among whose ranks a greater proportion of the poor were numbered, received a high priority in Planned Parenthood's nationwide efforts. Donald B. Strauss, chairman of Planned Parenthood World Population, urged the 1964 Democratic national Convention to liberalize the party's stated policies on birth control, and to adopt domestic and foreign policy platform resolutions to conform with long-sought San gerite goals: [While almost one-fourth of nonwhite parents have four or more children under 18 living with them, only 8% of the white couples have that many children living at home. For the Negro parent in particular, the denial of access to family planning professional guidance forecloses one more avenue to family advancement and well-being..

Unwanted children would not get the job training and educational skills they needed to compete in a shrinking labor market; moreover, unwanted children are a product and a cause of poverty.

Surveying the "successes" of tax-subsidized birth control programs, Guttmacher noted in 1970 that "[Birth control services are proliferating in areas adjacent to concentrations of black population." (In the 1980's, targeting the inner-city black communities for school based sex clinics became more sensitive than expected.)

Guttmacher thought that as long as the birth rate continued to fall or remained at a low level, Planned Parenthood should certainly be introduced before family size by coercion is attempted."

Reaching this goal, he thought, would best be accomplished by having groups other than the PPFA preach the doctrine of a normative 2.1-child family, as doing this would offend Planned Parenthood's minority clients. He suggested that family size would decrease if abortion were liberalized nationwide and received government support. In this prediction he was right on target.

But Guttmacher did not completely reject forced population control: Predicting 20 critical years ahead in the struggle to control the population explosion, Dr. Alan Guttmacher, president of Planned parenthood World Population, continues to urge the use of all voluntary means to hold down on the world birthrate. But he foresees the possibility that eventual coercion may become necessary, particularly in areas where the pressure is greatest, possibly India and China. "Each country," he says, "will have to decide its own form of coercion, and determine when and how it should be employed. At Present, the means are compulsory sterilization and compulsory abortion. Perhaps some day a way of enforcing compulsory birth control will be feasible.

Coerced abortion is already practiced in China, with the International Planned Parenthood Federation's approval.

Extreme Irony

Despite its past, Planned Parenthood has managed to present the image of toleration and minority participation through the vehicle of its divorced, telegenic, African American president, Ms. Faye Wattleton, appointed titular head of the PPFA in 1978, a post she still holds. Though paid in the six-figure range, she has impeccable minority credentials that would have fit the public relations criteria for both Margaret Sanger and Dr. Clarence ****.

Wattleton's PPFA biography touts her as a friend of the "Poor and the young"; a nurse at Harlem Hospital; and the recipient of the 1989 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Humanitarian Award and the World Institute of Black Communicators' 1986 Excellence in Black Communications Award. It further states she was featured in a national photography exhibit, "I Dream A World: Portraits of Black Women Who Changed America"; interviewed in Ebony; and was the cover story in Black Enterprise magazine. (Time published a profile of Wattleton in 1990 entitled "Nothing Less Than Perfect.")

Her ideological orientation has received certification in the form of the Better World Society's 1989 Population Model, the 1986 American Humanist Award, and others. But surely, the spectacle of the Congressional Black Caucus awarding its humanitarian award to the black woman who presides over the organization that has hastened and justified the death of almost eight million black children since 1973 and facilitates the demise of the black family is ironic in the extreme.

Killer Angel

In his book, Killer Angel, George Grant says: "Myths, according to theologian J. l. packer, are stories made up to sanctify social patterns.' They are lies, carefully designed to reinforce a particular philosophy or morality within a culture. They are instruments of manipulation and control.

Killer Angel tells the real story behind one of the biggest myths that controls our culture today the life and legacy of Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. Grant exposes "the Big Lie" perpetuated by Sanger's followers and the organization she started.

Through detailed research and concise writing, Grant unveils Sanger's true character and ideology, which included blatant racism, revolutionary socialism, sexual perversion and insatiable avarice. Grant includes direct quotes from sources such as Sanger's Birth Control Review to support his findings. His biography spans Sanger's disturbed and unhappy upbringing which Sanger said contributed to her agitation and bitterness later in life to her eventual fixation with drugs, alcohol and the occult.

Particularly shocking was Sanger's involvement in the Eugenics movement. Grant says: "[Sanger] was thoroughly convinced that the inferior races' were in fact human weeds' and a menace to civilization.' . . . She was a true believer, not simply someone who assimilated the jargon of the times as Planned Parenthood officials would have us believe."

Sanger died September 6, 1966, a week before her eighty-seventh birthday. Grant says: "[She] had nearly fulfilled her early boast that she would spend every last penny of Slee's [her second husband] fortune. In the process, though, she had lost everything else: love, happiness, satisfaction, fulfillment, family, and friends. In the end, her struggle was her naught."

The truth uncovered in grant's book has proven to be a threat to those who follow the cult of :Planned Parenthood. In fact, Killer Angel was recently banned from a public library in Toledo, Ohio. A library manager stated in a letter that, "The author's political and social agenda, which is strongly exposed throughout the book, is not appropriate even in a critical biography of its subject."

In response, Grant pointed out that "The question at hand is whether librarians should be making subjective judgments about my political beliefs and the beliefs of other authors."

By censoring Killer Angel, the library appears to be violating its own policies, which state that, "the Library collection shall include representative materials of all races and nationalities, and all political, religious, economic and social views." Except Christian views, apparently.

While the Toledo public library may not be interested in the information put forth in Grant's book, pro-lifers will find this biography useful and enlightening. It serves as a powerful tool in dispelling the myths surrounding a woman considered a heroine by many who began an organization that is responsible for the deaths of millions of unborn children.

Grant states that, "Margaret Sanger and her heirs at Planned Parenthood . . . have thus far been able to parlay the deception into a substantial empire. But now the truth must be told. The illusion must be exposed." Killer Angel does an outstanding job in doing that.

Sanger's Legacy is Reproductive Freedom and Racism

Despite Margaret Sanger's contributions to birth control and hence women's freedom and empowerment, her legacy is diminished by her sympathies with eugenics. This writer says that, like many modern feminists, Sanger ignored class and race.

(WOMEN'S NEWS)--Margaret Sanger opened the nation's first birth control clinic in 1916. For the rest of her life she worked to establish a woman's right to control her body and to decide when or whether to have a child. In 1921, she founded the American Birth Control league, the forerunner of Planned Parenthood.

Her impact on contemporary society is tremendous. Enabling women to control their fertility and giving them access to contraception, as advocated by Sanger, makes it possible for women to have a broader set of life options, especially in the areas of education and employment, than if their lives are dominated by unrelieved childbearing.

A recent reminder of Sanger's impact on our society came when the Equal employment Opportunity Commission found that it is illegal sex discrimination to exclude prescription contraceptives from an otherwise comprehensive health benefits plan. Sanger's efforts to provide access to contraception are at the foundation of decisions to provide equal access to prescription contraceptives and other prescriptions.

Still, especially with the Bush administration, activists will have to fight to maintain access to contraception and to abortion. In April, the House of Representatives passed legislation that would establish criminal penalties for harming a fetus during the commission of a crime. While proponents of the bill say it does not include abortion, some see fetal protection legislation as an attempt to undermine abortion rights. The passage of this legislation is a reminder that the rights Margaret Sanger worked so hard to establish are tenuous rights that many would challenge.

For all her positive influence, I see Sanger as a tarnished heroine whose embrace of the eugenics movement showed racial insensitivity, at best. From her associates, as well as from some of the articles that were published in Sanger's magazine, the Birth Control review, it is possible to conclude that "racially insensitive" is too mild a description. Indeed, some of her statements, taken in or out of context, are simply racist. And she never rebuked eugenicists who believed in improving the hereditary qualities of a race or breed by controlling mating in order to eliminate "undesirable" characteristics and promote "desirable" traits.

Sanger: We Must Limit the Over-Fertility of Mentally, Physically Defective

"Our failure to segregate morons who are increasing and multiplying . . . demonstrates our foolhardy and extravagant sentimentalism," she wrote in the recently republished "The Pivot of Civilization." This book, written in 1922, was published at a time when scientific racism had been used to assert black inferiority. Who determines who is a moron? How would these morons be segregated? The ramifications of such statements are bone chilling.

In a 1921 article in the Birth Control Review, Sanger wrote, "The most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective." Reviewers of one of her 1919 articles interpreted her objectives as "More children from the fit, less from the unfit." Again, the question of who decides fitness is important, and it was an issue that Sanger only partly addressed. "The undeniably feebleminded should indeed, not only be discouraged but prevented from propagating their kind," she wrote.

Sanger advocated the mandatory sterilization of the insane and feebleminded." Although this does not diminish her legacy as the key force in the birth control movement, it raises questions much like those now being raised about our nation's slaveholding founders. How do we judge historical figures? How are their contributions placed in context?

It is easy to see why there is some antipathy toward Sanger among people of color, considering that, given our nation's history, we are the people most frequently described as "unfit" and "feebleminded."

Many African American women have been subject to nonconsensual forced sterilization. Some did not even know that they were sterilized until they tried, unsuccessfully, to have children. In 1973, Essence Magazine published an expose of forced sterilization practices in the rural South, where racist physicians felt they were performing a service by sterilizing black women without telling them. While one cannot blame Margaret Sanger for the actions of these physician, one can certainly see why Sanger's words are especially repugnant in a racial context.

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America has been protective of Margaret Sanger's reputation and defensive of allegations that she was a racist. They correctly point out that many of the attacks on Sanger come from anti-choice activists who have an interest in distorting both Sanger's work and that of Planned Parenthood. While it is understandable that Planned Parenthood would be protective of their founder's reputation, it cannot ignore the fact that Sanger edited the Birth Control review from its inception until 1929. Under her leadership, the magazine featured articles that embraced the eugenicist position. If Sanger were as anti-eugenics as Planned Parenthood says she was, she would not have printed as many articles sympathetic to eugenics as she did.

Like Many Modern Feminists, Sanger Ignored Race and Class

Would the NAACP's house organ, Crisis Magazine, print articles by members of the Ku Klux Klan? Would Planned Parenthood publish articles penned by fetal protectionist South Carolina republican Lindsey Graham?

The articled published in the Birth Control Review showed Sanger's empathy with some eugenicist views. Margaret Sanger worked closely with W. E. B. DuBois on her "Negro Project," an effort to expose Southern black women to birth control. Mary McLeod Bethune and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. were also involved in the effort. Much later, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. accepted an award from Planned Parenthood and complimented the organization's efforts. It is entirely possible that Sanger Ôs views evolved over time. Certainly, by the late 1940s, she spoke about ways to solve the "Negro problem" in the United States. This evolution, however commendable, does not eradicate the impact of her earlier statements.

What, then, is Sanger's legacy?

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America has grown to an organization with 129 affiliates. It operates 875 health centers and serves about 5 million women each year. Planned Parenthood has been a leader in the fight for women's right to choose and in providing access to affordable reproductive health care for a cross-section of women. Planned Parenthood has not supported forced sterilization or restricted immigration and has gently rejected the most extreme of Sanger's views.

In many ways, Sanger is no different from contemporary feminists who, after making the customary acknowledgement of issues dealing with race and class, return to analysis that focuses exclusively on gender. These are the feminists who feel that women should come together around "women's issues" and battle out our differences later. In failing to acknowledge differences and the differential impact of a set of policies, these feminists make it difficult for women to come together.

Sanger published the Birth Control Review at the same time that black men, returning from World War I, were lynched in uniform. That she did not see the harm in embracing exclusionary jargon about sterilization and immigration suggests that she was, at best, socially myopic.

That's reason enough to suggest that her leadership was flawed and her legacy crippled by her insensitivity.

This is one issue I'm still having a hard time understanding - even more hard to understand is why are people like Obama, Thurgood Marshall, MLK, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Clarence Thomas, Alan Keyes, Prince Hall Freemasons, etc going along with this agenda?

Yes, Thomas is a "conservative" and has voted against Roe V Wade in 1992, but nonethetheless he has not said a peep about this particular agenda.

Abortionist who kills 'ugly black babies' a Dem donor

'His statement supports what we already know of the billion-dollar abortion industry'

(LifeNews) The abortion practitioner who is getting national attention for telling pro-life advocates that his abortions help rid the world of “ugly, black babies” turns out to be a prominent Democratic Party donor.

“The doctor in the video, apparently, is an active political donor, giving almost all his money to Democrats,” notes Tim Carney, of the Washington Examiner.

Ashutosh Virmani is a frequent Democratic Party contributor, according to a web site that tracks federal political donations.

Pro-Lifers Highlight Abortion in Black Community

Pro-life African Americans are hoping to draw attention to what they say is practically genocide of babies within their race.

Although not widely known, statistics show about one in four black babies are aborted.

Now, Christian leaders and others have started a campaign with the message that every baby deserves a chance at life -- no matter their circumstance.

"We're witnessing numbers of about 1,500 black babies a day that are dying," said Pastor Stephen Broden of the group Life Always.

Broden partly blames the media for refusing to cover this de facto genocide. His organization has put up billboards across the nation to highlight the growing tragedy.

"It is controversial. But sometimes you have to do some things that are controversial just to get heard," Broden said.

He's received a lot of criticism for targeting the black community with his message, but Broden says he won't back down.

Rev. Walter Hoye of the Issues4Life Foundation has faced not just persecution but was tossed in jail for his daily pro-life protests. The city of Oakland actually passed a law to stop Hoye and other demonstrators.

"I'm on a public sidewalk, holding a sign that says 'God loves you and your baby. Let us help you.' And they form a law against that," Hoye recalled. "That's obviously overcriminalization."

Claims that abortion is decimating the black community have also reached Washington, D.C.

At a recent forum, Ryan Bomberger of the Radiance Foundation told how his life and ministry rebukes the notion that aborting children of poor or abused women is better than letting them be born. Bomberger's mother, made pregnant by ****, chose birth and then gave him up for adoption.

"I would love to express to her the amazing things that followed, the beauty that arose from the ashes of her pain," he said.

"And because of that singular choice of life, she literally has impacted millions," Bomberger added.

Many **** victims who become pregnant make the choice to get an abortion, as well as many who discover their unborn child has a disability, like Down Syndrome.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi's sister refused to do that, and gave birth eight years ago to Emma.

"Emma is God's greatest gift to my family. She is absolutely amazing. She is the most special little angel in the world," Bondi said.

Currently, about 40 percent of Americans support abortion with a majority calling themselves pro-life.

Bomberger says he's grateful his natural mother appreciated life in the face of such challenging circumstances.

He's even written her a song of gratitude called "Meant to Be." The lyrics declare, "Now I can love and be loved, all because of you."

NAACP: National Association for the Abortion of Colored People

What better way for an out-of-touch liberal organization to celebrate itself than in the land of make believe? The NAACP’s 44th Annual Image Awards honor black imagery churned out by often racist, anti-Christian, perpetually sexist, violent and pornographic Hollywood. Just skim the list of nominees and one is left with an overwhelming feeling: emptiness.

Django Unchained, with its graphic violence and 100 plus uses of the racially denigrating epithet, “****”, gets praise and nominations from the NAACP. “Lincoln”, a powerful film of historical substance, completely eliminates the most potent influence in Lincoln’s ideology and evolution on slavery—Frederick Douglass. There’s no protest from the NAACP, just a nomination.

The nation’s oldest civil rights organization revels in a distorted reflection of who black Americans are, the struggles faced and the real world around us. Though they will dress up their liberal causes in bright lights, filtered lenses and entertaining performances, the NAACP Image Awards worship a false image.

The NAACP’s selective, and often feigned, outrage on a myriad of issues is befitting of a multiple personality disorder, with its stronger personality being one that embraces all things liberal, most things socialistic, and nothing pro-life. They’ll beat the drums of economic, social and environmental “justice” while over 360,000 black babies, annually, never get a chance at one of the few Constitutional rights that actually exist—the right to Life.

At a time when 72.3% of black children are born into homes without fathers and (in some places like Philadelphia) 50% of viable black pregnancies end in abortion one would think protecting future generations would become a national emergency for this historic organization. Single female-led homes are the norm in the black community. Children who grow up in these homes are 5 times more likely to live in poverty than those in two-parent married homes. Yet, these issues are non-existent on the organization’s website. And all the NAACP can do in regards to marriage is push gay marriage—hardly the solution to crumbling, impoverished families in our inner-cities. What about equality for these beautiful children living without the economic, educational and emotional security of both a mother and a father?

The NAACP would rather sleep with Planned Parenthood, the urban staple and instigator of sexual irresponsibility, regardless of what people say. The affair has been going on for decades. The NAACP, despite denials, has publicly supported Planned Parenthood numerous times (here, here and here). It’s fought to prevent the abortion chain from being defunded while simultaneously fighting to ensure a massive influx of funding for its beloved ally (and annual convention sponsor) through Obamacare.

In fact, both organizations are part of the nation’s largest coalition of “civil rights” groups, The Leadership Conference. It was co-founded by famed civil rights figure, A. Philip Randolph, who was the President of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters. He also happened to shill for Planned Parenthood back in 40s. Today, the NAACP, Planned Parenthood and a who’s who among pro-abortion groups are part of this “civil rights” collective. (The chair of The Leadership Conference just happens to be Judith Lichtman, the President of the rabidly pro-abortion National Partnership for Women and Families.)

Planned Parenthood, gay marriage, HIV/AIDS initiatives, and demonizing the GOP are far more important to the National Association for the Abortion of Colored People than the devastating reality that black babies are aborted at staggering levels. Black babies are aborted 6 times more frequently (in NYC) than white babies: 1,448 are aborted for every 1,000 that are born alive as compared to 244 white babies aborted for every 1,000 born alive (all losses are a tragedy).

No outreach. No outcry. No outrage.

The only racial profiling the NAACP supports is the vilification of any black public figure or organization that is conservative and the targeting of unborn black children for death via abortion.

The National Association for the Abortion of Colored People has no moral ground to stand upon, just quick sand oozing with the blood of those most discriminated against. The NAACP’s covert and overt support of Planned Parenthood negates any other human rights they purport to defend.

If they can’t show any concern for the most basic civil right stripped away before birth, how can they convince the American public that they’re dedicated to rights post-birth? Why should anyone care about those black lives that the NAACP is so willing to throw away in exchange for political prominence?

It’s not “rights” the NAACP is pursuing, but the Right (Senator Tim Scott, Judge Janice Rogers Brown, Allen West, The Radiance Foundation) in a venomous campaign to alter history to suit their allegiance to liberalism. Mainstream media has no spine or is complicit in the NAACP’s cause-du-jour. Whether it’s “dirty coal”, anti-charter school teachers’ unions, legalizing pot, or faux voting suppression crimes, the real crime is that news outlets never scrutinize the organization for its false claims, outrageous policies and destructive actions.

And all the while, poverty, unemployment, poor educational outcomes, fatherlessness, STD and abortion rates remain exponentially high in the black community. As our TooManyAborted.com initiative has shown, today’s NAACP is a tragic example of civil rights gone wrong.

But on stage in Tinsel Town, all is shiny and in perfect condition. All blemishes are hidden, each word controlled by pre-approved scripts and camera angles show only pre-determined perspectives. Perhaps they should take the show on the road, let’s say a few miles south in LA to Compton. The NAACP could let America see how much it’s truly done for urban America.

But that wouldn’t be good for their image.

Planned Parenthood targets black women

In 1854, Abraham Lincoln confronted America's first "pro-choice" U.S. senator, Stephen Douglas of Illinois, in a speech in Peoria.

"Choice" then was about slavery, not abortion.

Douglas had sponsored the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which repealed the Missouri Compromise of 1820 and addressed the sticky question of slavery in new territories entering the union. The Kansas-Nebraska Act resolved this by "choice”: Residents would vote to decide if slavery would be legal in their territory.

Lincoln, morally opposed to slavery, challenged Douglas's "pro-choice" position. According to Douglas, said Lincoln, "the principle of the Nebraska bill was very old; that it originated when God made man and placed good and evil before him, allowing him to choose for himself, being responsible for the choice he should make."

No, said Lincoln. "God did not place good and evil before man, telling him to make his choice. On the contrary, he did tell him there was one tree, of the fruit of which he should not eat, upon pain of certain death."

Our constitution, conveyed by the nation's founders 65 years before Lincoln spoke those words, circumvented the question of slavery, permitting the great paradox of a nation founded on the ideals of freedom, which allowed slavery.

The struggle for racial justice in America -- whether fighting slavery or fighting for civil rights -- has always been informed by absolute standards of right and wrong, of good and evil, which transcend even the cleverest human mind. Black history is testimony to where we wind up when those standards get lost.

Yet, once again, those standards have gotten lost. And, once again, black Americans are bearing the brunt of the cost of a nation that has lost its moral rudder as a result of wantonly legal and available abortion.

According to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, blacks accounted for 35.4 percent of abortions performed in 2009, despite representing, according to the 2010 census, just 13.6 percent of the U.S. population.

Let's not be deluded that this is an accident.

Analysis of 2010 census data by an initiative called Protecting Black Life shows that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics are located within walking distance of minority neighborhoods: 62 percent within two miles of primarily black neighborhoods and 64 percent of Hispanic/Latino neighborhoods.

Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, systematically targets minority women for abortion.

Before the Civil War, there were church-going Americans who rationalized slavery by contending that blacks were less than human. This view was legally formalized in the U.S. Supreme Court's infamous Dred Scott decision in 1857. Scott, an African-American slave who had lived in the free state of Illinois and the freed territory of Wisconsin before being returned to Missouri, had unsuccessfully appealed to the court to grant his freedom.

It is not surprising that Douglas supported the decision.

Views echoing Dred Scott help rationalize Planned Parenthood's targeted destruction of black children in the womb.

In 1957, Mike Wallace interviewed Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger and asked if she believed in sin.

Sanger, whose racist and eugenicist views are well documented, replied: "I believe the biggest sin in the world is parents bringing children into the world that have disease from their parents that have no chance in the world to be a human being practically. Delinquents, prisoners, all sorts of things just marked when they are born."

It is a sign of these dismally confused times that it was our first black president, Barack Obama, who last week became the first sitting American president to address Planned Parenthood.

In his address, the president did not use the word "abortion" once, nor was there a single reference to the current trial and murder charges against Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell.

You'd think he was addressing the Ronald McDonald House, not an organization that provided 333,964 abortions last year, disproportionately on black women.

Black unemployment and poverty rates are almost double the national averages. I suppose Planned Parenthood -- with support from our president and $542 million in taxpayer funds -- feels it is doing its part to solve this problem.

Interesting. That pretty much sums up the attitude of Lincoln, who was pro-federal government. You know, the whole Civil War and all. Lincoln was bent on making sure the states towed the federal line or "union".

Stephan Douglas appears to have been more on the correct side of the argument, constitutionally. As I understand it, if it isn't spelled out specifically in the Constitution as being a federal concern, it falls to the states to decide for themselves, and independently of each other, and each retains that right under each state's constitution that is not suppose to be in conflict with the US Constitution.

The world has literally, just as the scriptures say, turned it around 180 degrees. Up is down, when down is up. Both government and business operate as a pyramid structure, with it's peak being the highest ranking position, the President or CEO, with the labor force at the very bottom of the "command structure". The truth is, it's suppose to be an inverted pyramid, with the peak on the bottom, working it's way up to the widest point on the structure, it's "base" of citizens making the decisions as to what they want for their respective states. Of course in practice, we know how the world does it, all based on the love of money.

Black pastors demand broader probe after Kermit Gosnell abortion trial

Call on Congress to investigate the entire industry

In the wake of the murder conviction Monday of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit B. Gosnell, a group of black clergy came to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to demand congressional investigations and hearings into all abortion clinics — and especially those serving black communities.

“Abortion affects the whole nation. So I am asking that the Congress of the United States move immediately to investigate the abortion industry, where over 55 million babies have been slaughtered — and, I might add, that more than 17 million of them have been African-American,” the Rev. Luke Robinson of the Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Frederick, Md., said during a news conference at the National Press Club.

“Dr. Gosnell is not an aberration,” said the Rev. Arnold M. Culbreath, director of Protecting Black Life in Cincinnati. “There are many other unethical, unsafe, late-term abortionists in our communities who also need to be investigated,” he said. When these clinics are found, “we demand that they be shut down and driven out.”

On Monday, Gosnell, 72, was found guilty of murdering three newborn infants by “snipping” their spinal cords with scissors. He was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 overdose death of Karnamaya Mongar, who had traveled to his clinic from Virginia to get an abortion when she was 19 weeks pregnant. His filthy clinic, staffed with untrained assistants, was discovered in a police narcotics raid and later described by a grand jury as a “house of horrors.”

On Tuesday, prosecutors said Gosnell agreed not to appeal the verdict. This means he will not face the death penalty, but will spend the rest of his life in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday.

The several dozen pastors and pro-life supporters, who also held a legislative briefing on Capitol Hill, promised to push lawmakers of all political parties to address their concerns.

“I cry and I urge and I plead and I beg with Congress to investigate every facility, every facility in this land and country that’s carrying out abortions, that’s murdering babies and destroying women,” said the Rev. Alonzo Pressley, pastor at New Land New Seed Ministries in Augusta, Ga., which offers care to unwed women with crisis pregnancies. “President Obama and the entire White House: We need to come out of our offices and get involved in real life.”

Said Star Parker, founder and president of Center for Urban Renewal and Education: “We are not going to rest. As they didn’t rest during the civil rights movement until it was finished, as the abolitionists did not rest with that crime against humanity during slavery, we won’t rest. Not this one. Not on our watch.”

Pro-choice supporters have denounced Gosnell and his clinic but vigorously rejected efforts to make the case a referendum on abortion.

The Gosnell case “is a local crime story,” Irin Carmon wrote for Salon.

“He broke the law, and he is being punished,” she said. “In the meantime, there is no reason to think the case has changed much about the world outside Gosnell‘s.”

Imani Gandy, senior legal analyst at RH Reality Check, a website on reproductive health and justice issues, criticized Ms. Parker and her allies for trying to “exploit” the trial of a black abortionist and “wring their hands and feign concern about the plight of black Americans.”

“Black genocide simply isn’t a thing that is happening in the United States, though this meme has been floating around anti-choice circles for years,” wrote Ms. Gandy. “[T]he answer to the black abortion rate is more choice and more access to quality care,” and “the answer to Gosnell is not fewer abortions, but better abortion care.”

At Tuesday’s news conference, the Rev. Walter B. Hoye II, president of the Issues4Life Foundation, said black women have far more abortions than most people realize.

Black women of childbearing age represent 3 percent of the U.S. population, but from 30 percent to 35 percent of all abortions are performed on black women, he said, citing data from the Census Bureau, Guttmacher Institute and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Moreover, even though overall U.S. abortion rates are dropping, it has risen 4.1 percent from 2007 to 2009 for black women.

When stories get to be too political like this, I tend to stray away - however, this one I have been kinda playing close attention to b/c it's getting rather obvious they're really playing the Hegelican Dialectic card from within(in this case, the GOP). I read a little bit about this guy the other day, EW Jackson - he's an African American who's gotten a lot of publicity over the years for exposing abortion and Planned Parenthood. Supposedly he's a "prominent" Christian minister - but a simple 5 minute internet research on this guy and you'll see he smacks opposition controlled. Now look at the chaos, all by design, that's starting to come out(and for that matter too, likely another African American along with Obama, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, etc who's in lockstep with PP)...

http://news.yahoo.com/virginia-republicans-panicking-over-choice-lieutenant-governor-060011500.html
Virginia Republicans Panicking Over Their Choice for Lieutenant Governor
5/21/13

A minister who compared gays to pedophiles and Planned Parenthood to the Klu Klux Klan is not the No. 2 candidate Republican Party reformers had in mind for the marquee race of 2013.

Neither did the top of the ticket, Republican gubernatorial nominee Ken Cuccinelli, who has been downplaying his own socially conservative record in favor of a more mainstream message focused on the economy.

So how in the world did archconservative African-American pastor E. W. Jackson cinch his party’s nomination for lieutenant governor of Virginia on Saturday night?

Blame Virginia’s quirky political process, a raucous convention speech and a racial undercurrent for vaulting Jackson—an also-ran in the 2012 Republican primary for the U.S. Senate—onto a stepping stone to the top job in one of the closely watched swing states in the country. Blame Cuccinelli, who steered the party away from holding a potentially more competitive primary and toward a convention that ensured his nomination but left the lieutenant governor’s slot up to only a few thousand hard-core activists to fill.

Jackson’s unexpected entrance into the Virginia statewide elections this year is one of the starkest examples of the challenges facing the GOP as it tries to broaden its appeal on the way to 2016.

“We learned a lot of lessons in 2012 that we’re trying to point out to people, but not all the people are going to listen,” said Ari Fleischer, a former White House press secretary who helped lead the national party’s sweeping examination of the 2012 election and produce a 97-page report of recommendations.

A more informal but similar soul-searching is taking place in Virginia, where the Republican establishment is worried the party will be better known for requiring women seeking abortions to get ultrasounds than for passing a sweeping transportation funding deal. A small group of Republican donors, business leaders, and former elected officials has met in Richmond twice since April about the tea-party’s movement’s impact on the GOP. According to a participant in both meetings, the group is concerned that Cuccinelli is too conservative to win a general election in state that voted twice for President Obama—and that was before Jackson joined the ticket.

After Jackson was nominated, Fleischer posted on Twitter, “Jackson's anti-gay slurs are indefensible.” Jackson has called gay people “perverted and “very sick people.” He was less overt in his convention speech, though he referred to protecting traditional families.

“If you’re going to grow the party, it’s helpful to nominate candidates who are deeply conservative but inclusive of other people, as opposed to condemnatory,” Fleischer said. “To denounce people in such a fashion is not how you grow the party.”

Jackson's rhetoric puts Cuccinelli—whose own opposition to same-sex marriage and abortion has earned him a loyal conservative base of support—in a tough spot.  He and the Republican Party have a strong motivation in keeping the politically inexperienced Jackson afloat: With control of the state Senate evenly split between the two parties, the lieutenant governor breaks tie votes.

Forced into an awkward arranged marriage, Cuccinelli’s top advisers have urged Jackson to put aside his social crusades and reinforce their campaign’s message on job growth. But until the campaign is comfortable that Jackson is on board with the plan, Cuccinelli is expected to keep his distance from Jackson after completing a two-day statewide tour with him on Tuesday.

“We are not going to be defending our running mates’ statements, now or in the future,” Cuccinelli said in a written statement on Monday that sought to strike a balance between asserting his independence and not throwing Jackson overboard. “The people of Virginia need to get comfortable with each candidate individually, and that's what this process is all about."

Not if the Democratic Party has its way. With gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe facing a Republican-friendly electorate in November and struggling to explain his less successful business ventures, Democrats immediately seized on the nomination of the controversial minister from Chesapeake.

The Virginia Democratic Party circulated a side-by-side comparison of inflammatory quotes by Cuccinelli and Jackson on homosexuality, abortion, and President Obama. Democratic operatives also circulated a video of Cuccinelli calling Jackson a “powerful, powerful fighter for first principles” that is likely to become fodder for television attack ads. One liberal blog posted under the headline, “This is the lunatic Virginia tea-party Republicans just nominated for lieutenant governor.”

McAuliffe called Jackson and the nominee for attorney general, Mark Obenshain, Cuccinelli’s “ideological twins” in an e-mail blast on Monday. That’s expected to become central line of attack as McAuliffe tries to undercut Cuccinelli’s efforts to emphasize his agenda to cut taxes and create jobs.

"Jackson's nomination will reinforce for voters that Cuccinelli's extreme antiwoman, antigay, anti-middle class agenda will make Virginia an unwelcoming place for families and businesses,” said Danny Kanner, a spokesman for the Democratic Governors Association. "Cuccinelli could have made his preference for a different lieutenant governor nominee known if he had one—like he did in the AG's race—but he didn't, because he shares the same hateful, extreme views espoused by his new running mate."

Cuccinelli declined to intervene in the seven-candidate primary, campaign sources said, in part because he anticipated racially tinged criticism for getting in the way of an African-American candidate. Jackson joins a small but prominent circle of charismatic black conservatives that includes former presidential candidate Herman Cain and former Rep. Allen West of Florida (West, who attended the convention, endorsed one of Jackson’s rivals.)

“I am proud to say that I am not an African-American. I am an American!” declared Jackson, drawing roaring applause from convention-goers at the Richmond Coliseum. Candidates who look and sound like Jackson have a unique appeal at a time when Democrats can boast of electing the first African-American president and some of President Obama’s critics have gone so far as to question his U.S. citizenship.

While Jackson’s addition to the slate complicates Cuccinelli’s campaign, it doesn’t guarantee a tailspin. As a Harvard Law School graduate and former Marine, Jackson brings some obvious assets to the race. The top candidates run separately in Virginia, so it’s possible for a split-ticket result in November. One recent example: When Republican George Allen ran for governor in 1993, a conservative homeschooling champion, Mike Farris, won the nomination to be lieutenant governor. Allen kept his distance and won, while Farris was defeated by Democrat Don Beyer.

“It’s not clear that the bottom of the ticket will have tremendous influence on the top,” said Bob Holsworth, founding director of the Center for Public Policy and the Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University. “Jackson is such a formidable public persona, however, that it’s hard to imagine him shrinking into the backdrop. It will be fascinating to see if the Republican Party lets him drift on his own or whether they help him be competitive.”

Democrats tried and failed to make the governor’s race a referendum on social issues in 2009 when conservative Republican Bob McDonnell led the ticket. Keeping his focus on jobs and the economy, McDonnell won in an election that laid the groundwork for the anti-Obama wave of 2010.

“Before everybody pronounces the death knell of the Republican ticket in 2013, they should remember that national dynamics and Obama’s approval numbers will have as much to do with this race as anything else,” said former Rep. Tom Davis, whose wife, Jeannemarie, ran unsuccessfully against Jackson.

Davis, a moderate, said he would back Jackson despite his antigay views. “How can I support someone who supports 'Obamacare?' ” he asked, referring to the Democratic ticket. “That’s the choice. Control of the state Senate is at stake.”

OK, this is just somewhat off-topic - but wanted to post this here b/c apparently, the entire eugenics programming is targeted toward low-income/socioeconomic regions, not just abortion...

http://www.conncoll.edu/news/news-archive/2013/student-faculty-research-shows-oreos-are-just-as-addictive-as-drugs-in-lab-rats-.htm#.Ul6fMCQd42L
Student-faculty research shows Oreos are just as addictive as drugs in lab rats
10/15/2013

Connecticut College students and a professor of psychology have found “America’s favorite cookie” is just as addictive as c0caine – at least for lab rats. And just like most humans, rats go for the middle first.

In a study designed to shed light on the potential addictiveness of high-fat/ high-sugar foods, Joseph Schroeder, associate professor of psychology and director of the behavioral neuroscience program, and his students found rats formed an equally strong association between the pleasurable effects of eating Oreos and a specific environment as they did between **** or morphine and a specific environment. They also found that eating cookies activated more neurons in the brain’s “pleasure center” than exposure to drugs of abuse.

The results are preliminary and subject to further scientific review.

“Our research supports the theory that high-fat/ high-sugar foods stimulate the brain in the same way that drugs do,” Schroeder said. “It may explain why some people can’t resist these foods despite the fact that they know they are bad for them.”

The research was the brainchild of neuroscience major Jamie Honohan ’13. A scholar in the College’s Holleran Center for Community Action and Public Policy, Honohan was interested in how the prevalence of high-fat and high-sugar foods in low-income neighborhoods contributed to the obesity epidemic.

“My research interests stemmed from a curiosity for studying human behavior and our motivations when it comes to food,” said Honohan. “We chose Oreos not only because they are America’s favorite cookie, and highly palatable to rats, but also because products containing high amounts of fat and sugar are heavily marketed in communities with lower socioeconomic statuses.”

To test the addictiveness of Oreos, Honohan and a co-researcher, Becca Markson ’13, worked with Schroeder and two other students, Science Leader Gabriela Lopez ’15 and Katrina Bantis ’15, last year to measure the association between “drug” and environment.

On one side of a maze, they would give hungry rats Oreos and on the other, they would give them a control – in this case, rice cakes. (“Just like humans, rats don’t seem to get much pleasure out of eating them,” Schroeder said.) Then, they would give the rats the option of spending time on either side of the maze and measure how long they would spend on the side where they were typically fed Oreos.

While it may not be scientifically relevant, Honohan said it was surprising to watch the rats eat the famous cookie. “They would
break it open and eat the middle first,” she said.

They compared the results of the Oreo and rice cake test with results from rats that were given an injection of **** or morphine, known addictive substances, on one side of the maze and a shot of saline on the other. Professor Schroeder is licensed by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to purchase and use controlled substances for research.

The research showed the rats conditioned with Oreos spent as much time on the “drug” side of the maze as the rats conditioned with **** or morphine.

Neuroscience major and Science Leader Lauren Cameron ’14 was awarded a Keck Grant, which provides summer research stipends in the sciences to qualified students, to work with Schroeder to continue the research over the summer. They used immunohistochemistry to measure the expression of a protein called c-Fos, a marker of neuronal activation, in the nucleus accumbens, or the brain’s “pleasure center.”

“It basically tells us how many cells were turned on in a specific region of the brain in response to the drugs or Oreos,” said Schroeder.

They found that the Oreos activated significantly more neurons than c0caine or morphine.

"This correlated well with our behavioral results and lends support to the hypothesis that high-fat/ high sugar foods can be thought of as addictive," said Schroeder.

And that could be a problem for the general public, says Honohan.

“Even though we associate significant health hazards in taking drugs like **** and morphine, high-fat/ high-sugar foods may present even more of a danger because of their accessibility and affordability,” she said.

Schroeder will present the research next month at the Society for Neuroscience conference in San Diego, Calif.

Sky-high abortion rate among blacks, minorities only getting worse: latest CDC data

Pro-life activists have long pointed to disproportionately high abortion rates of abortion in minority communities as evidence that abortion providers are targeting minorities for abortion services.

Now, the CDC’s latest Abortion Surveillance report has found that the problem isn't getting any better. The report found that between 2007 and 2010, nearly 36 percent of all abortions in the U.S. were performed on black children, even though blacks make up only 12.8 percent of the population. Another 21 percent of abortions were performed on Hispanics, and an additional seven percent on other minority races.

All in all, more than half of all babies killed by abortion between 2007 and 2010 were minorities.

While the overall abortion rate declined by three percent between 2007 and 2010, the trend was weighted by an 11 percent drop in abortion rates among the white majority.  Abortion rates for blacks and Hispanics actually jumped during the same period of time – rising three percent for blacks, and eight percent for Hispanics.

But according to the CDC’s statistics, it may not be just minority babies who are losing their lives thanks to the abortion epidemic. As abortion rates have risen, especially among black women, so has the rate of breast cancer.  Abortion has been cited as a major risk factor for breast cancer by numerous studies worldwide.

Historically, black women had been far less likely than white women to develop breast cancer, but that has been changing in the years since Roe v. Wade.  Now, black women are almost as likely as white women to be diagnosed with breast cancer – especially black women under 40, who actually develop cancer at a higher rate than young white women.

According to the CDC, black women are at particular risk for “triple-negative” breast cancer, an aggressive and dangerous subtype, that has been repeatedly linked to oral contraceptive use and abortion.  The CDC says black women die from breast cancer at higher rates than any other race.

Taken together, these numbers lend legitimacy to ongoing claims by critics of the abortion industry that abortion businesses are targeting blacks and minorities for “genocide.”

“This confirms what we have said all along, that abortion is not about women’s rights or reproductive freedom, it is simply about eugenics,” said Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics, which produced a documentary on the subject in 2011. “The numbers make it clear that abortion is about eugenics, the African-American and Hispanic communities have been targeted and logic makes it clear that this did not happen coincidentally or unintentionally.”

Accusations of racism in the abortion industry are as old as its founding institution, Planned Parenthood.  The abortion giant’s first president, Margaret Sanger, was a well-known eugenicist who said, “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated."

One of Planned Parenthood’s earliest initiatives was “The Negro Project,” in which Sanger and a wealthy co-conspirator, Clarence **** (heir to the Procter and **** fortune), arranged to pay black ministers to promote Planned Parenthood among the faithful.  “We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten that idea out if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members,” Sanger wrote to **** in 1939.

Nearly 75 years later, 79 percent of Planned Parenthood’s abortion facilities are located in black or minority neighborhoods, and black babies are aborted at four times the rate of white ones.   In New York City, which has the highest abortion rate in the world, nearly 82 percent of all abortions were performed on black or Hispanic babies, according to the CDC’s numbers.  In Texas, the number was nearly 64 percent.

But if Crutcher is right, and this is genocide, then where is the outcry from minority leaders? That’s what black pro-life leader Ryan Bomberger would like to know.

Bomberger, who founded the Radiance Foundation to help raise awareness of abortion and its devastating effects on the black community, says the nation’s most prominent black leaders have become willing enablers, praising and helping the very people who seek to destroy them.

“Back in 2005, the NAACP praised the high black abortion rate as compared to the percentage of the population at a NARAL fundraising gala,” Bomberger told LifeSiteNews by e-mail. “The very 'civil rights' groups that should be sounding the alarm about this huge disproportionate impact actually partner with the nation's largest abortion chain, Planned Parenthood, ensuring this increasing disparity.”

Added Bomberger, “When more black babies are aborted than are born alive in NYC and the NAACP responds by supporting Governor Cuomo's radical abortion expansion via the misnamed ‘Women's Equality Act,’ one can understand how the targeting of minorities continues unabated.”

I've said this before, but I'll say it again - yes, I know the love of money is the root of all evil, but nonetheless I still find it mindboggling over why Martin Luther King Jr, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Thurgood Marshall, Charles Rangel, and Barack Obama would sell out their OWN PEOPLE.

Ultimately, enemies have come from WITHIN.

Dr. Alveda King Tells Students of Modern Day Black Genocide

It’s the genocide few talk about, but taking a cue from her uncle, Dr. Alveda King is bravely speaking out about it, spreading her message far and wide.

Her warning: black people are murdering themselves.

The shocking statistics surrounding the rate of abortion among African Americans was one of the highlights of a speech King gave earlier this week at the University of Missouri.

Urging everyone to take action to protect life, King frequently reiterated some of those stark figures: more than 16,000,000 African-American children have been aborted since Roe v. Wade. Making matters worse, she pointed out, these abortions have occurred within a minority group that makes up just 13 percent of the American population.

Her speech comes as headlines regarding the abortion rate among blacks have shocked the country: “In Georgia, 53.6 Percent of Babies Aborted Are Black,” “In Mississippi, 72 Percent of the Babies Aborted Are Black,” and “More Black Babies Die in Abortions in New York City Than Given Birth.”

About 150 people converged at Columbia’s Jesse Auditorium on Monday night to hear from the pro-life and civil rights activist, who linked the right-to-life cause to modern-day civil rights.

“Alveda is a really good speaker, and could particularly speak to the harms of black genocide, an issue we wished to draw attention to here on campus,” former Mizzou Students for Life President Reagan Nielsen said in an interview with The College Fix.

Students for Life President Rachelle Engen kicked off the event, introducing Dr. King. The niece of civil rights activist Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., she opened with a discussion of her family background and the ways it shaped her – most notably her faith and her commitment to protecting life at all stages.

“There is only one race on the planet,” Dr. King stated, “the human race.” She went on to cite 1 Corinthians 13: “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Dr. King also previewed two films designed to educate on the injustice of abortion: “Maafa 21” and “Blood Money.” “Blood Money” investigates how racism and population control efforts helped turn abortion into a money-making industry, while “Maafa 21″ is a documentary film arguing that the eugenics movement utilized abortion in an attempt to commit African American genocide.

No personal stranger to the ills of abortion, she also spoke about her own experiences: Her mother was encouraged to abort her while pregnant, and King herself underwent two abortions before the words of her grandfather touched her.

“The woman has a right to choose what happens to her body,”Dr. King recalls her grandfather saying, “but that baby is not her body.”

A respected civil rights activist in her own right, Dr. King has received the Life Prize Award and the Civil Rights Award from the Congress of Racial Equality, and currently serves as a Pastoral Associate with Priests for Life.

In the past, her speeches have touched on the effects of abortion on the black community as well:

My grandfather, Dr. Martin Luther King, Sr., once said, “No one is going to kill a child of mine.” Tragically, two of his grandchildren had already been aborted when he saved the life of his next great-grandson with this statement. His son, King once said, “The Negro cannot win as long as he is willing to sacrifice the lives of his children for comfort and safety.” How can the “Dream” survive if we murder the children? Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother. The mother decides his or her fate.

College Fix contributor Courtney Scott is a student at the University of Missouri.

Huh? Martin Luther King Jr received the MARGARET SANGER award one time in his life! Ultimately, BEWARE of all of these wolves that trickle in - as enemies come from WITHIN! And King himself had some major doctrinal issues.

And Georgia and Mississippi happen to be CONSERVATIVE RED STATES, where (supposedly)they've had anti-abortion restrictions for a long time.

Again - don't be fooled by these "conservative" activists who point fingers solely at "liberals".

Abortionist Who Claims He Rids World of ‘Ugly Black Babies’ Arrested on **** Charges

An abortionist who sparked outrage in 2012 when he claimed that he was doing a service to taxpayers by ridding the world of ‘ugly black babies’ has been arrested on **** charges.

Ashutosh “Ron” Virmani, abortionist at A Preferred Women’s Health Center, was taken into custody at his home in early Thursday morning, and was booked at the Mecklenberg County Jail shortly after 3 a.m.

According to reports, Virmani, 60, had invited a 49-year-old woman to his home on Wednesday to discuss a business deal unrelated to his abortion practice. However, the unidentified woman later met with police at the Carolinas Medical Center after she alleged that Virmani raped her and refused to allow her to leave.

Police then swarmed Virmani’s residence and transported him to the county jail. He was charged with one count of second degree ****, and two counts of second degree sexual offense. Virmani was released on Thursday on $150,000 bond, and will face an arraignment in court today.

As previously reported, Virmani made national headlines in 2012 when members of the group Operation Save America went to his home to speak to him about their concerns regarding his practice. The encounter was captured on camera as two men and one woman spoke with Virmani.

“Don’t put pregnancy and adoption on the taxpayers,” Virmani stated. “I don’t wish to pay for the baby with my money.”

The woman then asked, “You would rather profit off of those children?”

Virmani replied, “No, no, no, I am not profiting. I, as a taxpayer, do not wish to pay for those babies to be born and brought up and kill those people in Colorado.” The abortionist was referring to the recent massacre in Aurora, Colorado, allegedly committed by James Holmes.

“Go ahead and pay for them,” he exclaimed angrily. “Let me see you adopt one of those ugly black babies!”

“If you tell us, we’ll adopt them. … Give us a chance to adopt them,” one of the men replied as Virmani closed the door.

The video footage, which was posted to YouTube, went viral, and sparked outrage from many nationwide, including Dr. Day Gardner, president of the National Black Pro-Life Union.

“It’s all too obvious that he had a particular disgust for black babies and therefore has no problem killing them,” she said. “They think that they’re just … worthless, they’re unplanned, unwanted, and maybe even in this abortionist’s case, uglier than other children. I just think that it’s appalling. It’s despicable, and it turns my stomach. It makes me sick.”

“So many abortionists feel that way. And that’s why they are in the business that they are—the horrible, brutal, gruesome business of killing children,” Gardner continued. “The black community should be outraged because Ashutosh Virmani is a brazen racist and his statement supports what we already know of the billion dollar abortion industry—black babies are targeted because they are seen as poor, worthless and maybe even ‘ugly.’”

Black Pro-Lifers: Black Caucus Aids Black Genocide

On Thursday, LifeSiteNews reported that several black pro-lifers have spoken out in outrage over the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's (CBC) all too "friendly" relationship with the abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood, accusing them of aiding in a genocide against their own people.

The harsh reactions came in response to the CBC's recent annual legislative conference where "black activists teamed up with Planned Parenthood to host a panel promoting contraception and increased access to abortion for African American women." The CBC-hosted panel, titled “Sex, Politics, and Black Women: A real talk about what reproductive freedom means in the wake of Hobby Lobby,” gave full license to Planned Parenthood and its officials without opposition.

Announcing the event, Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America said, “Planned Parenthood is grateful for the support of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation for providing a space for this important conversation on reproductive freedom. It is partnerships like this, with leaders like Congresswoman Robin Kelly and BET Networks, that allow us to reach more communities with an important message – access to birth control is pivotal in expanding economic opportunity for all women.”

As LifeSiteNews reported, none of these tactics are relatively new to the abortion giant, given that its founder Margaret Sanger referred to blacks as "human weeds and are to be exterminated.” Sanger, a well-known eugenicist, hoped to use her organization as a means to sterilize blacks and cut down their reproduction. She later participated in the "Negro Project" along with Clarence **** (heir to the Procter and **** fortune), where they would pay off black ministers to help promote Planned Parenthood among the faithful. Black pro-life leaders find CBC's actions eerily reminiscent of the past.

In an editorial, Ryan Bomberger of the pro-life Radiance Foundation hissed at the event and condemned its participants.

“The nation’s largest abortion chain, never missing an opportunity to target the black community, is addressing how the Hobby Lobby decision will impact—you got it—black women,” wrote Bomberger.  “The Hobby Lobby decision does nothing to reduce anyone’s access to birth control. The Supreme Court decision ruled that a closely held corporation cannot be forced to pay for an employee’s abortifacients, including Plan B, Ella, and hormonal and copper IUDs. The lawsuit never opposed the other 16 forms of contraception, and the ruling doesn’t touch those. But this weekend’s conference isn’t about birth control, but spin control with a racial twist.”

“The CBC is no different than many other political collectives (like the NAACP, Urban League, and [Al] Sharpton’s National Action Network) who rarely represent the real needs of their constituents,” Bomberger continued.  “Because they add a racial component onto everything they do, it’s even more heinous that their undying support for the abortion industry has caused more deaths in the black community than all other causes of death combined: 373,605 to 285,522.”

“This partnership of liberal black-led organizations with an industry birthed in eugenic racism reveals how potently successful the influence was of the first Negro Project,” added Bomberger.  “Planned Parenthood knew it needed black people to con black people. And today they have an abundance of them in a political party that celebrates the massive abortion of black babies as ‘reproductive justice.’”

Writing for BlackGenocide.org, Rev. Dr. Clenard Childress Jr. called the event "the epitome of gross negligence when black elected officials caucus and plan with the leading killer of black children and facilitators of mental anguish of black women."

Childress also called on people to participate in the "Say So March," a multi-city protest to take place on October 11-13, and warned that blacks "cannot any longer allow public perception to be that people of color condone and support the dismemberment of children in the womb."

The Democrat Race Lie

This whopper deserves all the attention it can get. Again, it shows the ignorance and contempt of the electorate liberals depend on.

In 2010, Democrats gave their website a facelift and whitewash. Click on the screenshot above to see what they used to say about their civil rights history.

Prior to 2010, the following is what readers got when they clicked on the Democrats.org “History” button….

Democrats are unwavering in our support of equal opportunity for all Americans. That’s why we’ve worked to pass every one of our nation’s Civil Rights laws, and every law that protects workers. Most recently, Democrats stood together to reauthorize the Voting Rights Act.

On every civil rights issue, Democrats have led the fight. We support vigorous enforcement of existing laws, and remain committed to protecting fundamental civil rights in America.

This is the kind of BS spewed by Democrats on a daily basis, and unfortunately the media and other so-called watchdogs are so apparently ignorant of American history, Democrats continue to LIE through their teeth to their constituents, and via academia, to our kids. Despite the truth being out there for years, it’s probably not going to explode until some big shot news anchor gives us an “explosive expose” bringing us all those facts first, so he/she can proudly receive a Pulitzer…

While I have only scratched the surface of civil rights history, here’s an except from yet another list of historical bullet points that dispute Democrat claims of civil rights support.     June 10, 1964
Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen (R-IL) criticizes Democrat filibuster against 1964 Civil Rights Act, calls on Democrats to stop opposing racial equality. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was introduced and approved by a staggering majority of Republicans in the Senate. The Act was opposed by most southern Democrat senators, several of whom were proud segregationists—one of them being Al Gore Sr. Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson relied on Illinois Senator Everett Dirksen, the Republican leader from Illinois, to get the Act passed.

    August 4, 1965
Senate Republican Leader Everett Dirksen (R-IL) overcomes Democrat attempts to block 1965 Voting Rights Act; 94% of Senate Republicans vote for landmark civil right legislation, while 27% of Democrats oppose. Voting Rights Act of 1965, abolishing literacy tests and other measures devised by Democrats to prevent African-Americans from voting, signed into law; higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats vote in favor

    February 19, 1976
President Gerald Ford formally rescinds President Franklin Roosevelt’s notorious Executive Order authorizing internment of over 120,000 Japanese-Americans during WWII

    September 15, 1981
President Ronald Reagan establishes the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities, to increase African-American participation in federal education programs

    June 29, 1982
President Ronald Reagan signs 25-year extension of 1965 Voting Rights Act

    August 10, 1988
President Ronald Reagan signs Civil Liberties Act of 1988, compensating Japanese-Americans for deprivation of civil rights and property during World War II internment ordered by FDR

    November 21, 1991
President George H. W. Bush signs Civil Rights Act of 1991 to strengthen federal civil rights legislation

    August 20, 1996
Bill authored by U.S. Rep. Susan Molinari (R-NY) to prohibit racial discrimination in adoptions, part of Republicans’ Contract With America, becomes law

And let’s not forget the words of liberal icon Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood…

We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population….

So the next time any Democrat claims they’ve been supportive of civil rights in America (and been so all along), ask them to explain their past. “We’ve grown” is not gonna cut it, considering they continue to lie about their past to this day, and only someone lacking in common sense would believe two distinct political parties could juxtaposition their stances on civil rights seemingly overnight.

And I’m tired of the recitation that Southern Democrats became racist Republicans and took those tendencies with them. Even today, it never takes long for a Democrat to play the race card purely for political advantage.
