It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Are you eating food sacrificed to idols?
American pastor sounds alarm on supermarkets, restaurants

When you bite into a delicious pizza, succulent sandwich or luscious lamb chops, are you possibly eating food that has been sacrificed to idols?

An outspoken American pastor says yes, and he's sounding the alarm for Christians to be aware of the Islamic influence he calls "backdoor Shariah" now nibbling its way across the fruited plain.

At issue, says Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash., is eating food that's "halal," in other words "lawful" or "permitted" for the Muslim diet.

Muslims join many Jews and some Christians in avoiding the consumption of certain animals such as pigs and birds of prey, but those of the Islamic faith also have their meat blessed in the name of their god, Allah.

"From the Christian standpoint, Allah would be an idol," Biltz told WND.

4   As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol [is] nothing in the world, and that [there is] none other God but one.
5   For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6   But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him.
7   Howbeit [there is] not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat [it] as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
8   But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
9   But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
10   For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
11   And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
12   But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.
13   Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

2 Mich. McDonald's drop halal food after suit

2 McDonald's in Mich. stop selling halal food; company didn't say if related to settlement

6/24/13

http://news.yahoo.com/2-mich-mcdonalds-drop-halal-165131760.html

DETROIT (AP) -- The only two McDonald's restaurants in the United States that were serving food prepared according to Islamic law have stopped several weeks after a $700,000 settlement over a lawsuit that alleged the items weren't consistently halal.

The fast-food giant said in a statement Monday that the locations in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, which has a large Muslim population, are no longer offering a halal McChicken sandwich or Chicken McNuggets in order "to focus on our national core menu."

The corporation added it takes into account "local and dietary preferences," and supports its franchisees in Dearborn. Neither the statement nor a spokeswoman said whether McDonald's decision was related to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit, brought by customer Ahmed Ahmed in 2011, technically covered anyone who bought the halal-advertised products between September 2005 and January from the restaurant on Ford Road and another one in Dearborn with a different owner. The second location wasn't a defendant or a focus of the investigation.

A letter sent to McDonald's and restaurant franchisee Finley's Management, by attorney Kassem Dakhlallah's firm Jaafar and Mahdi Law Group, said Ahmed had "confirmed from a source familiar with the inventory" that the restaurant had sold non-halal food "on many occasions."

In the settlement notice, Finley's Management said it "has a carefully designed system for preparing and serving halal such that halal chicken products are labeled, stored, refrigerated, and cooked in halal-only areas." The company added it trains its employees on preparing halal food and "requires strict adherence to the process."

McDonald's attorney Thomas McNeill said during a hearing earlier this year that the investigations and negotiations proved that if a problem arose, "it was isolated and rare."

The settlement is being shared by a customer named Ahmed Ahmed, a Muslim-run Detroit health clinic, Dearborn's Arab American National Museum and lawyers.

Dakhlallah said Monday that "there is no shortage of halal options for consumers" in Dearborn, home to one of the largest mosques in North America. Overall, the Detroit area is home to about 150,000 Muslims.

"If the result of the class-action lawsuit against McDonald's and the Ford Road franchise was that companies who were falsely advertising halal products stopped pretending to be halal compliant, that's a good thing for consumers," he said. "I doubt that truly halal compliant businesses would stop offering halal products."

Detroit was broken once the auto industry went overseas. Some people just happened to take advantage of that and move in. Classic Islamic opportunist tactic. Islam has been spreading that way since the 7th century, to the extreme at times, of using the point of a sword. And the military arm of Islam is still cutting people's throats to this day. It's their way of intimidation, in an effort to strike fear in their adversaries, the "infidels".

But one weapon they use isn't talked about so much, and hardly ever in the media, is their way of blending in with the local population, if it forwards the cause of Islam, even to the extent of hiding/lying they are Muslim. One might call them moles, "sacrificing" their lives for Islam's cause by pretending for a time to be somebody they are not. That is a tactic of the father of lies.

Interesting...I did not know that - I thought Islam pretty much was a "what you see is what you get" type of religious sect, unlike let's say the New Age Movement which knows how to be very subtle and pretend to be someone when they're not(and they have to hierarchy structure in it as well).

Yes, I know Islam is a very dangerous religious cult, but nonetheless didn't know they went to this extent of disguising themselves otherwise.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong in it because being a Christian we shouldn’t be eating meat. So something that is blessed is better than nothing.

You need to search the scriptures again! That is a falsehood promoted by churchianity. Jesus says there is NOTHING unclean of itself. NOTHING, if it be received with thanksgiving. For the believer, it's not about law, it's about what is more edifying. Certain situations and circumstances we should avoid or not accept.

You WILL NOT lose your salvation for attending a pagan party, but is doing so edifying? Of course not. Those that are weak, new tot he faith, do not understand yet, so those who are mature have a responsibility to act in an edifying manner, to avoid certain things. To eat meat or not is not one of them!

You don't want to eat meat, go read what Peter tried to tell God about things "common or unclean".
