Pro-lifers: Extension proves WH 'addicted' to abortion

Some faith-based hospitals aren't satisfied with an Obama administration ruling that gives them a year to comply with a mandate to provide contraception free of charge in health insurance plans.

According to Paul Rondeau, executive director of the American Life League, "This administration treats Catholics as useful idiots" and generally undermines religious freedom.

"We all know that this administration has a contraceptive mindset. They are abortion-addicted, and this is simply one more 'kick the can down the road until after the election,' where Obama is not up for re-election and then his even truer colors will come out," Rondeau contends.

He says church-affiliated institutions are looking for an exemption from the mandate -- not an extension for compliance beyond the November election.

"There can be no resolution to this conflict when you have an administration that takes the executive power of the presidency and through legislation and bypassing Congress … uses every administrative trick in the book to push their agenda, generally speaking, outside the light of day and in the shadows," the pro-lifer argues.

Rondeau concludes the administration's latest move is not a compromise, but simply a delay in the onset of government intrusion into religion.

And though the White House will not be forcing insurance coverage for birth control on religious institutions for the time being, court cases against that mandate will proceed. Hannah Smith of The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty agrees that the one-year delay is a political ploy. But she assures that the affected organizations have no plans of giving in. (Listen to audio report)

"Religious organizations, religious colleges, universities, hospitals, [and] social service organizations will not cave to the government this year or any year," she insists. "They will not pay for abortion drugs, no matter how many years the Obama administration gives them to comply to this coercive government mandate."

Smith points out that the administration has a poor record in terms of religious freedom, and that has been reflected in rulings by the nation's highest court.

"You saw the Supreme Court strike the Obama administration a serious blow by calling their narrow view of religion extreme … 'remarkable' and untenable," she cites. "In the Hosanna Tabor case, where Becket Fund was also counsel, the Supreme Court held 9-0 that churches could hire and fire based on religious their views and doctrine."

The high court also rejected the Obama administration's view in that case.

Smith says the decision to delay implementation of mandatory insurance coverage for birth control is to gain votes from faith-based people. But The Becket Fund will continue to fight court cases dealing with the mandate.

Meanwhile, Bishop Richard Malone, the leader of Maine's Roman Catholics, is joining in the condemnation of the president's requirement. Though churches would be exempt, hospitals and schools would not. He says the mandate would require Catholic institutions to make an "impossible" choice of either violating their moral code or denying health coverage.

Planned Parenthood: Obama 'has our back' and gets our vote

Saying Barack Obama has "stood with Planned Parenthood time and again when it mattered most," a political action fund affiliated with the abortion-provider has formally endorsed the incumbent president.

LifeNews.com reports that Planned Parenthood performs 330,000 of the 1.2 million abortions in America each year -- or about one every 97 seconds. But nowhere in today's announcement endorsing the president does the Planned Parenthood Action Fund use the word "abortion," instead using phrases such as "women's health" and "critical reproductive health care services."

"[The president] has been a champion of women's health, working to expand women's access to affordable, quality care," says PPAF. "He's done more for women's health than any president in history ...."

In a video endorsement, PPAF president Cecile Richards goes on the attack against GOP presidential nominee-designate Mitt Romney, describing him as "out of touch" -- and reassuring Planned Parenthood supporters that President Obama "has our back."

New Obama Planned Parenthood Funding Totals $1.2 Million

LifeNews reported today on new funding the Obama administration is sending to a Planned Parenthood abortion business in Memphis, Tennessee. As more details have surfaced about the funding, pro-life advocates are up in arms over it.

The Obama administration has sent a family planning grant of $395,000, but additional information shows the grant is an annual one that the abortion giant will receive in Memphis for three years — totaling almost $1.2 million. Barry Chase, executive director of Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis, told the Tennessean newspaper that the money from the Obama administration will replace the $700,000 in funding the state formerly provided it.

Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey is livid about the Obama administration going over the heads of the state government and sending federal taxpayer funds to the nation’s biggest abortion company.

“By funneling federal tax dollars to abortion providers in Tennessee, Barack Obama has proven once again why he needs to be defeated for a second term. Tennessee has taken a stand against Planned Parenthood’s pro-abortion shell game and defunded these organizations for a reason,” he said in a statement. “”Tennessee has taken a stand against Planned Parenthood’s pro-abortion shell game and defunded these organizations for a reason.”

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, is also upset.

“From day one of his presidency, Obama has gone to extremes to support Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider,” she said in a statement to LifeNews. “He has refused to yield in the face of Planned Parenthood’s scandals including their exposure as an ally of alleged human traffickers and as willing to turn a blind eye to sex-selective abortion in their clinics. Additionally, it defies reason to send more federal funds to an organization that has been found culpable in the waste, abuse, and potential fraud of millions of taxpayer dollars.”

She continued:  “Clearly, protecting Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funded bottom line – and not protecting women and girls – is President Obama’s top priority. Come November, the SBA List will work to ensure voters remember this at the ballot box.”

Last year, Governor Bill Haslam urged local public health departments in Memphis and Nashville to accept all available Title X funds, an effort which successfully ended Title X funding for Tennessee’s Planned Parenthood facilities, when Shelby County commissioners ultimately voted to, instead, award its Title X funds to Christ Community Health, which does not provide or promote abortion.

“While we are disappointed that any tax funding would be directed to private organizations promoting and profiting from the killing of unborn children, this end run around the people of Tennessee will serve to underscore the urgent need to elect a pro-life president, Senate and Congress in November,” said Brian Harris, president of Tennessee Right to Life.

Abortion Activist Sandra Fluke to Join Obama on Campaign Trail

Pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke, the campaigner for the HHS birth control mandate to force religious groups to pay for and refer women for abortion-causing drug and birth control that violate their consciences, will join President Barack Obama on the campaign trail.

Fluke, the Georgetown University law student who became a controversial national figure during the mandate debate, will introduce Obama at a campaign stop in Denver on Wednesday.  The mandate went into effect five days ago and is the subject of dozens of lawsuits from pro-life groups, religious groups, and educational institutions.

After Fluke became a national figure and was subjected to some attacks from conservative, Obama waded into the controversy by calling Fluke and offering his encouragement and support. Now Fluke will provide the same as Obama attempts to secure more support in Colorado, a battleground state that went for him in the 2008 campaign.

As the Daily Caller reports: http://dailycaller.com/2012/08/07/sandra-fluke-to-campaign-with-obama-in-denver/

Fluke is expected to introduce Obama in downtown Denver at the Auraria Campus, during a campaign stop centered on his economic plans, the outlet noted. Fluke’s appearance will likely add a second dynamic, with the campaign, in recent months, attempting to highlight differences between Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s stances on women’s issues to Obama’s left-leaning approach.

Fluke endorsed Obama in June.

“Obama is committed to rebuilding our economy upon the values of fairness and opportunity and the belief that all Americans, both men and women, must have the rights they deserve,” Fluke wrote in a CNN op-ed. “That’s why I’m proud to endorse his re-election.”

Unearthed Video Shows Obama Supporting Late-Term Abortions

Weekly Standard reporter John McCormack has unearthed an old video from 2003, when President Barack Obama was running for the U.S. Senate from Illinois, in which he defends his position favoring late-term abortions.

OBAMA: “I am pro-choice.”

REPORTER: “In all situations including the late term thing?”

OBAMA: “I am pro-choice. I believe that women make responsible choices and they know better than anybody the tragedy of a difficult pregnancy and I don’t think that it’s the government’s role to meddle in that choice.”

"The Washington Post reports that President Obama is running his reelection campaign as a “culture warrior,” trying to cast his opponents as extremists on such issues as abortion in the case of **** and requiring religious institutions to pay for contraception. But could Obama’s own extremism on abortion come back to bite him?” McCormack asks.

As an Illinois state senator, Obama was so supportive of late-term abortions, he resisted efforts to protect unborn children born alive after failed abortion procedures.

When Obama opposed a bill to stop infanticide as a member of the Illinois legislature, he said he did so because it reportedly contained language that would have contravened the Roe v. Wade decision. However, documents uncovered during the 2008 election show Obama has misrepresented his position.

Obama, as a member of the Illinois Senate, opposed a state version of the federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, a measure that would make sure babies who survive abortions are given proper medical care.

It also protected babies who were “aborted” through a purposeful premature birth and left to die afterwards.

On the federal level, pro-abortion groups withdrew their opposition to the bill after a section was added making sure it did not affect the status of legal abortions in the United States. Ultimately, the bill was approved on a unanimous voice vote with even leading pro-abortion lawmakers like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry backing it.

When Obama was running for the U.S. Senate in 2004, his opponent criticized him for supporting infanticide by voting against the Illinois version of the bill. Obama countered this charge by claiming that he had opposed the state bill because it lacked the neutrality clause found in the federal version.

As the Chicago Tribune reported on October 4, 2004, “Obama said that had he been in the U.S. Senate two years ago, he would have voted for the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, even though he voted against a state version of the proposal.”

During Obama’s 2008 run for President, he repeated those claims.

Documents obtained by the National Right to Life Committee showed Obama’s claim that he would have voted for the bill had it been Roe-neutral is a false argument.

According to the documents from the Illinois legislature, Obama, as the chairman of the Illinois state Senate Health and Human Services Committee, presided over a committee meeting concerning neutrality language that was an exact duplicate of the clause in the federal bill.

During the March 2003 committee, Obama voted in support of adding the neutrality clause, but then led his colleagues on the panel in voting down the anti-infanticide bill on a 6-4 vote.

“Barack Obama, as chairman of an Illinois state Senate committee, voted down a bill to protect live-born survivors of abortion,” NRLC legislative director Douglas Johnson told LifeNews.com at the time.

Johnson said Obama did so “even after the panel had amended the bill to contain verbatim language, copied from a federal bill passed by Congress without objection in 2002, explicitly foreclosing any impact on abortion.”

“Obama’s legislative actions in 2003 — denying effective protection even to babies born alive during abortions — were contrary to the position taken on the same language by even the most liberal members of Congress,” Johnson continued.

“The bill Obama killed was virtually identical to the federal bill that even NARAL ultimately did not oppose,” he concluded.

Why do they always ask men what they think of abortion? I basically know why, but you see the contradiction? I mean it's the woman that does it. A man has no part in it, so who cares what men think? It's the woman that must face God and the truth about the life living in them. I understand a spouse situation of course, it's a team thing. But generally, that's the woman's call, and it is the woman that experiences it or not, whether the man is around or not. The experience of child birth was to be woman's experience alone due to her actions in the garden. That is woman's lot in life by God Himself.

14   And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15   And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
16   Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17   And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life;
18   Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19   In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return.

Planned Parenthood President to Personally Campaign for Obama

The president of the nation’s biggest abortion business will personally campaign for President Barack Obama in the battleground state of Iowa this week.

The Obama campaign announced Cecile Richards will head to the Midwest state to promote President Obama’s re-election campaign. Richards plans to make stops in Des Moines, Ames, Grinnell, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids as she looks to boost turnout of pro-abortion voters.

The Obama campaign says Richards will discuss “what’s at stake for women in this election, and why President Obama is the right choice for women and families.”

lets kill them all ha ha ha

“Come hear from women’s health advocate Cecile Richards this Thursday at 11 AM. Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, will discuss what’s at stake for women in this election, her experiences fighting to protect women’s access to health care, and why President Obama is the right choice for women and families. Bring your friends for the chance to hear from a true champion for women’s rights in this country,” it says.

The abortion business endorsed Obama in May and announced it would purchase $1.4 million in television advertising attacking the pro-life views of Mitt Romney. Planned Parenthood, more recently, started up another $3.5 million campaign attacking Romney on abortion.

“There is no greater champion for women’s health than President Obama and Planned Parenthood Action Fund couldn’t be prouder to endorse his reelection as president today,” Richards said at the endorsement. “The contrast with Mitt Romney couldn’t be starker. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is committed to ensuring that voters know how wrong Mitt Romney is for women — in his own words.”

The ad buy targets Romney’s previous comments saying he would “get rid” of federal taxpayer funding for the abortion business and Planned Parenthood indicated the ad buy would target places like West Palm Beach, Florida; Des Moines, Iowa; and voters in northern Virginia.

“When Mitt Romney says ‘Planned Parenthood — we’re gonna get rid of that,’ Romney is saying he’ll deny women the birth control and cancer screenings they depend on,” the ad’s narrator says. “When Romney says, ‘Do I believe the Supreme Court should overturn Roe v. Wade? Yes,’ he’s saying he’ll deny women the right to make their own medical decisions. And when his campaign can’t say whether he’d support equal pay protections … Romney’s putting your paycheck at risk.”

Answering a question from CNN affiliate KDSK of St. Louis, Romney listed a series of programs he would cut or eliminate as president in order to reduce the federal deficit.

“You get rid of Obamacare, but there are others,” Romney the station. “Planned Parenthood, we’re gonna get rid of that. The subsidy for Amtrak, I would eliminate that. The National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, both excellent programs, but we can’t afford to borrow money to pay for these things.”

In an interview with CNN later about the comment, Romney adviser Eric Fehrnstrom said he wasn’t referring to getting rid of the organization as a whole — because no president has the power to shut down the group — but he said Romney favors ending all federal funding to the abortion business.

“He singled out some areas of the budget he would eliminate or curtail, all in the name of achieving a balanced budget,” Fehrnstrom said. “It would not be getting rid of the organization. They have other sources of funding besides government operations, but in order to achieve balance, we have to make some tough decisions about spending.”

Romney called for de-funding Planned Parenthood earlier this year.

“I also feel that the government should cut off funding to Planned Parenthood,”said. “Look, the idea that we’re subsidizing an institution that provides abortion, in my view, is wrong. Planned Parenthood oughta stand on its own feet and should not get government subsidy.”

Romney also touted his pro-life credentials, saying, “I am a pro-life individual, I was a pro-life governor, I served as a pro-life governor, I’m a pro-life candidate. I simply do not want to participate in anything that takes the lives of an unborn child.”

Romney has called for de-funding Planned Parenthood previously.

In November, Romney had an opinion column in USA Today in which he advocated numerous ways to balance the federal budget, one of which involves eliminate funding to Planned Parenthood.

Romney proposes repealing Obamacare — which pro-life groups virtually unanimously opposed because of concerns related to taxpayer funding of abortions, rationing issues, and lack of conscience protections for pro-life medical workers. He says that will save $95 billion in 2016.

The fourth item on Romney’s list is one that will delight the pro-life voters he needs to secure the GOP nomination to face Obama:  “Eliminate Title X family planning programs benefiting abortion groups like Planned Parenthood.”

Romney previously pledged to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business in October during his speech before the Values Voter Summit.

“Our values must also encompass the life of an unborn child,” Romney told the thousands of pro-life advocates gathered for the Family Research Council event. “There are, of course, strong convictions on both sides of this issue. Yet it speaks well of our country that almost all Americans recognize that abortion is a problem.”

“The law may call it a right, but no one ever called it a good. And in the quiet of conscience, people of both political parties know that more than a million abortions a year can’t be squared with the good heart of America,” Romney said.

The former governor pivoted from a philosophical position to talking about his political views and what he would do if elected president.

“I support the Hyde Amendment, which broadly bars the use of federal funds for abortions,” Romney said, “As president, I’ll end federal funding for abortion advocates like Planned Parenthood. I’ll protect a health care worker’s right to follow their conscience in their work.”

“I will nominate judges who know the difference between personal opinion and law. It is long past time for the Supreme Court to return the issue of abortion back to the states by overturning Roe v. Wade,” he added.

Obama Has Been a Loyal “Champion” of Planned Parenthood

As Planned Parenthood prepares to celebrate its 96th birthday in October, Americans United for Life launches a month-long series of revelations – the release of “The Planned Parenthood Exhibits,” the continuing case for investigating the nation’s largest abortion provider. Each day in the month of October, AUL will release a new backgrounder that highlights grounds for investigating and, ultimately, de-funding Planned Parenthood, which receives more than one million dollars a day in taxpayer subsidies.

Exhibit 1

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, has called President Barack Obama its “champion.” The political alliance between the President and Planned Parenthood has been particularly evident over the past 18 months through the Obama Administration’s determination to channel taxpayer dollars to the abortion giant despite the known misuse of taxpayer funds by some Planned Parenthood affiliates and in the face of a $16 trillion national debt.

In 2011, faced with an impending government shutdown over funding disagreements, President Obama reportedly told Speaker of the House John Boehner that his openness to discussion on one particular point, de-funding Planned Parenthood (something the House of Representatives had already voted in favor of), amounted to “Nope. Zero.” [ii] The President would rather have the government shut down than negotiate any re-direction or cuts to Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding. President Obama and his Administration have subsequently developed a pattern of overriding states’ decisions to direct funding away from abortion providers and ensuring that taxpayer dollars continue to flow to Planned Parenthood.

In at least six states that have ended funding of Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers, the Obama administration has reacted by either withholding or threatening to withhold federal funds from the state (Indiana and Texas), or by undermining state law through direct federal contracts with Planned Parenthood and other entities within the state (New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Tennessee).

In the summer of 2011, the Obama Administration definitively proved that it prioritizes Planned Parenthood’s abortion business over healthcare. At the expense of all women’s (and men’s and children’s) healthcare, the Obama Administration threatened to pull $4.3 billion in Medicaid funding from the state of Indiana after the state’s legislature voted to prohibit all healthcare contracts with and grants to any “entity,” including Planned Parenthood, which performs abortions or operates a facility where abortions are performed.

Several months later, the Obama Administration circumvented New Hampshire’s elected Executive Council’s vote to cancel a $1.8 million contract with Planned Parenthood in favor of contracting with healthcare facilities that offer women full-service healthcare. Overriding the reasoned decision of New Hampshire’s elected officials, the Obama Administration directly awarded a $1 million contract to Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.

In March 2012, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission issued a rule excluding abortion providers from participation in the Texas Women’s Health Program (Texas WHP). Demonstrating its paramount loyalty to Planned Parenthood once again and attempting to bully the state of Texas, the Obama Administration pulled all federal funding for the Texas WHP. Committed to its position that if abortion providers like Planned Parenthood are not receiving taxpayer dollars then nobody will, the Obama Administration decided to deny funding for basic healthcare to poor women and their families in the state of Texas.

July 2012 proved to be a particularly lucrative month for Planned Parenthood. In New Jersey, the Obama Administration awarded $3.1 million in taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood affiliates and other family planning groups. The Obama Administration’s decision to overrule New Jersey’s fiscal choice is incredible when considering that, as recently as 2008, the U.S. Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services uncovered the misuse of federal family planning funds in New Jersey, “especially” by “Planned Parenthood providers.”[iii]

Later that month, the Obama Administration’s commitment to ensuring that abortion providers receive unfettered access to taxpayer dollars was further exposed when the Obama Administration overrode both North Carolina and Tennessee’s decisions to redirect funds away from Planned Parenthood and contracted directly with Planned Parenthood in both states.

Time and again, the Obama Administration has intervened to protect Planned Parenthood’s hold on taxpayer dollars, disregarding the reasoned judgment of the states, and despite Planned Parenthood’s known abuse of government funds.

What is truly remarkable about this alliance between the Obama Administration and Planned Parenthood is the willingness to use women and their families—and comprehensive, quality healthcare—as hostages in a political battle to guarantee continued funding of the abortion mega-provider.

In fact, Planned Parenthood’s false narrative has often vilified the women and men who have tried to cut the taxpayers’ financial ties with the abortion industry.

Planned Parenthood presents itself as the trusted provider of healthcare for women, often asserting that “in many communities it is the only source of affordable quality health care for women.”[iv] Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards went so far as to claim that Indiana’s law denying funding to abortion providers would prohibit “nearly 10,000 women from accessing preventative health care.”[v]

Like many claims made by Planned Parenthood, however, these assertions fall apart upon closer examination.

First, it should be noted that ending public funding of the abortion industry does not deny access to healthcare. Medicaid benefits have remained the same for Hoosiers.

Secondly, according to its own statistics, Planned Parenthood clinics in Indiana serve less than 1 percent of the state’s Medicaid patients, while providing more than 50% of the state’s abortions.[vi] Clearly, the overwhelming majority of Indiana women on Medicaid are receiving their basic healthcare elsewhere.

Many are likely receiving care at community health centers which, according to the National Association of Community Health Centers, provide healthcare to the nation’s underserved populations, including the uninsured, those on Medicaid and Medicare, migrant workers, and people living in rural areas. Nearly 40 percent of the income for these centers comes from Medicaid.[vii]

While Cecile Richards may hope to deceive the public with her politically motivated talking points, Planned Parenthood is well aware of these inconvenient facts.

In June 2011, the investigatory group Live Action contacted 16 Indiana Planned Parenthood clinics. Every one of them acknowledged that women did not need Planned Parenthood to receive basic medical care. All 16 Planned Parenthood clinics indicated that women could receive well-woman exams and other care at community health centers and from primary care doctors.

What is true in Indiana is likely true across the country. According to the National Association of Community Health Centers, community health centers provide more than 9,000 doctors, 10,000 nurses, and 8,000 health care delivery sites across the nation.[viii] In contrast to the roughly 800 Planned Parenthood clinics, these thousands of community health centers, and others like them, serve the real healthcare needs of American women – real healthcare needs which several states have sought to serve by reprioritizing their healthcare funding.

When states have tried to cut ties with the scandal-ridden abortion provider and direct taxpayer funding to comprehensive healthcare providers, Planned Parenthood has continued to profit from the Obama Administration’s unparalleled devotion. Indeed, it is the Obama Administration’s loyalty to Planned Parenthood that constitutes a key obstacle to achieving states’ goals to be fiscally responsible and provide comprehensive healthcare for its most vulnerable citizens.

The abortion business endorsed Obama in May and announced it would purchase $1.4 million in television advertising attacking the pro-life views of Mitt Romney. Planned Parenthood, more recently, started up another $3.5 million campaign attacking Romney on abortion.

Now wait a minute - is this the same Mitt Romney that was pro-choice his entire life until he decided to run for President in 2005? Is this the same Mitt Romney that includes free abortions in his Romneycare? Roll Eyes

Obama Steps Up Abortion, Contraception Rhetoric to Win Back Women Voters

The Obama campaign team has made it clear they are going to focus on recapturing some of the women's vote that has drifted to Mitt Romney since the first debate. An ad that is now running in a key swing state says that Romney would overturn Roe v. Wade and that is just one example of what voters will probably see more of in the next 18 days.
Polls taken in September showed Romney picking up steam with blue-collar, Republican leaning women who have lately been labeled "Wal-Mart Moms." Yet when the former Massachusetts governor began cutting into the more educated women voters who tend to lean Democratic, that's when Obama's team leapt into action.

ABC/Washington Post conducted a survey of women over the last two weeks that has found Obama falling behind Romney among college-educated females – a group that the president captured easily in 2008.

A more recent Gallup survey released on Thursday found Romney maintaining a 52-45 lead over Obama among likely voters, contradicting another ABC/Washington Post poll on Oct. 15 that showed Obama with a 49-46 lead over Romney.

Yet another USA Today/Gallup poll taken in 12 key swing states and released earlier this week found the two candidates in a dead heat among women voters with Romney leading 54-42 among likely male voters. These types of numbers have given the Obama team cause for concern.

But immediately after debate number two, Obama's talking heads brushed past foreign policy and oil and what was or wasn't said in the Rose Garden. David Plouffe wasted little time in defining where their campaign election strategy was headed.

"I thought the exchange on women's health issues was very important," he said, "not only for tonight but for the next 21 days."

One of the most obvious examples came in an exchange the two men had about Planned Parenthood during Tuesday night's debate when Obama accused Romney of planning to strip Planned Parenthood of government funding and for not answering questions about making it easier for women to sue over discrimination.

Now the Obama team is running an ad in swing states saying that Romney would "be delighted" to sign a bill making abortion illegal. What it doesn't say is that Romney believes a ban on abortion is "not where America is today."

The ad will run in Virginia – a highly contested battleground state.

"If Roe v. Wade was overturned, Congress passed a federal ban on all abortions and it came to your desk -- would you sign it? Yes or no?" ask the ad, which shows Romney saying, "I'd be delighted to sign that bill."

Amanda Henneberg, a Romney spokesperson commented on the ad.

"President Obama's campaign continues to mislead voters in a desperate attempt to distract from this president's failed economic record. Five and a half million women are struggling to find work in the Obama economy, and they are suffering from record unemployment under this president."

The clip of Romney saying "I'd be delighted to sign that bill"? Sounds like this was his response to supporting NDAA at one of the debates.

With that being said - hate to say it, but Roe V Wade is pretty much set in stone. 1992, Casey vs. Planned Parenthood, 5-4 upheld Roe V Wade with ALL FIVE of the yeas being GOP appointees(3 of them appointed by Reagan/Bush I - O'Conner, Kennedy, and Souter). And now everyone is lead to believe if we elect GOP Presidents, then they'll appoint pro-family justices, and eventually Roe V Wade will get overturned if we continue to elect them?

For my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge...

Obama Presided Over 4.8 Million Abortions During His Presidency

Since Barack Obama took office in January 2009, more than four million unborn human beings have been killed, violently, by abortionists.

With the annual number of abortions around 1.2 million per year, the four years of the Obama term will end with the loss of 4.8 million innocent unborn babies’ lives.

Barack Obama could not have saved every one of those babies during his term. But he could have saved many of them.

Instead, he championed policies to make the tragedy worse.

Obama appointed two Supreme Court justices whose records indicate they support the Roe v. Wade decision that forces states to allow abortion. His first nominee, Sonia Sotomayor, had previously helped direct the litigation projects of a private organization that filed legal challenges to pro-life laws, including parental notification requirements. His second nominee, Elena Kagan, while working as a key White House aide to President Clinton, helped direct a political strategy that kept partial-birth abortion legal for more than seven additional years.

Obama opposed this year’s congressional ban on sex-selection abortions, he weakened conscience protections for medical personnel, and his health care law will greatly expand the number of people in plans that cover abortion.

His Administration has forcefully defended federal and state funding for Planned Parenthood, the organization that does more than 330,000 abortions each year.

That doesn’t even mention his policies that fund and encourage groups engaged in abortion in other countries.

Occasionally I will get a letter or call from a pro-life person who thinks Obama’s support for abortion won’t make a difference to the unborn; they believe (or want to believe) they can vote for Obama on other issues without threatening the lives we are trying to defend.

They are wrong.

Reversing the Obama policies I’ve listed above, which is exactly what the pro-life team of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will do in office, will save thousands, hundreds of thousands or millions of lives, depending on the time frame you use.

But four more years of Barack Obama will only lead to four million more dead babies.

The National Right to Life Victory Fund is working with great energy around the country to find and convince pro-life voters how important their vote is to the lives of unborn babies. We are experts at persuading voters that their vote is literally a life-and-death issue for the unborn. We also excel at getting the pro-life vote to the polls.

Obama: Do What We Can to Save One Child, But Infanticide Okay

President Barack Obama today showed the kind of care and regard for human life when it comes to the issue of guns that he never has when it comes to abortion.

The tragedy at Sandy Hook can never be overstated — children died and teachers and staff died attempting to keep them save. There are no words that can properly convey how senseless the loss of life was that fateful day in Connecticut.

President Obama seems to understand this tragic loss of human life.

“Because while there is no law or set of laws that can prevent every senseless act of violence completely, no piece of legislation that will prevent every tragedy, every act of evil, if there’s even one thing we can do to reduce this violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try,” he said today in remarks about the shooting and announcing new executive orders promoting gun control.

Obama went as far as to quote from the Declaration of Independence and its establishment that people have an inalienable right to life.

“That most fundamental set of rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, fundamental rights that were denied to college students at Virginia Tech and high school students at Columbine and elementary school students in Newtown; and kids on street corners in Chicago on too frequent basis to tolerate; and all the families who never imagined they’d lose a loved one to — to a bullet, those rights are at stake. We’re responsible,” he said.

“Let’s do the right thing. Let’s do the right thing for them and for this country that we love so much,” the president concluded.

But, isn’t the right thing also protecting children from the violence of abortion? Contrast Obama’s heartfelt remarks with these, from his days as a an Illinois state senator — where he went out of his way to defend his position against a law that would provide legal protection and medical care for babies who survive failed abortions.

Obama essentially argues that there is no need for the law because he trusts abortion practitioners to provide medical care for the baby they unsuccessfully tried to kill in an abortion.

OBAMA: I just want to be clear because I think this was the source of the objections of the Medical Society. As I understand it, this puts the burden on the attending physician who has determined, since they were performing this procedure, that, in fact, this is a nonviable fetus; that if that fetus, or child – however way you want to describe it – is now outside the mother’s womb and the doctor continues to think that its nonviable but there’s, lets say, movement or some indication that, in fact, they’re not just out limp and dead, they would then have to call a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved.

For President Obama, it’s okay for the government to step in and protect children exposed to violence in school, but children who survive the violence of an abortion? Well, just leave it to the doctor to decide if that abortion survivor’s life is worth living at that point.

Obama to keynote Planned Parenthood fundraiser

Amid new concerns about the brutality of illegal forms of abortions, President Obama plans to deliver the keynote address at Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s annual fundraising dinner Thursday.

The theme of the dinner, to be held in Washington, is a “Time for Care,” organizers announced. Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards said Mr. Obama has done more than any president in history for women’s health and rights so she is delighted to have him help promote the gala dinner with his presence.

“He understands that access to birth control and preventive health care are economic issues for women and their families,” she said in a statement. “We fought alongside him to ensure that women’s health access was expanded in the landmark Affordable Care Act, and now we have to fight hard to ensure that the full promise of health care reform is realized for millions of women.

Abortion opponents quickly seized on the news, arguing that Mr. Obama should rescind his agreement to speak or even attend the dinner, considering the gruesome revelations emanating from the trial of Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell.

“These accounts by former clinic staff have shell-shocked the nation, and it is incumbent upon the president to reconsider his support for the abortion industry and Planned Parenthood, which last year profited from abortion $87 million committing over 300,000 abortions,” said Lila Rose, who heads Live Action, an anti-abortion group.

In announcing Mr. Obama as speaker, Planned Parenthood, focused their praise on his work helping women gain greater access to contraception. Mr. Obama’s new health care law included a new mandate requiring most U.S. employers — including religiously affiliated hospitals and schools — to provide health care plans that cover contraceptive services for female employees free of charge.

The abortion-rights community and Mr. Obama hailed the guidelines, first proposed in August 2011. But the Catholic Church and other religious organizations, which oppose some forms of contraception, tried to lobby for a clear exemption of affiliated institutions from the new rules. Earlier this year, the Obama administration updated its regulations in a compromise that would give women who work for religious employers access to no-cost birth control but would force insurers, not the religious organizations, to pay for it.

At the gala dinner, pro-abortion rights group plans to bestow Dr. Ruth Westheimer with its highest honor, the Margaret Sanger Award for her “lifelong commitment to empowering women and men to talk openly and honestly about sex and sexual health. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa also will be honored with the “Care. No Matter What” award for his dedication to protecting women’s health care in the City of Los Angeles.

Obama Will be First Sitting President to Address Planned Parenthood
4/25/13
http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/25/obama-will-be-first-sitting-president-to-address-planned-parenthood/

President Barack Obama, tomorrow, will become the first sitting president to address the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Obama originally planned to talk to the abortion giant tonight at its gala but pushed back the speech to Friday after massive criticism and suggestions he was ignoring victims of the Waco explosion.

Tomorrow, he will speak to 1,000 supporters of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The big question is whether he will address the murder trial of abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell.

Obama has thus far refused to comment on the trial — despite the fact that he has commented on other trials in progress previously. His refusal has been noted but pro-life advocates and in the halls of Congress.

“Mr. President, your silence on this issue is deafening,” said Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) in a speech on the House floor today.

Obama OK with morning-after pill sales at age 15

President Barack Obama said Thursday he was comfortable with his administration's decision to allow over-the-counter purchases of a morning-after pill for anyone 15 and older.

The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday had lowered the age at which people can buy the Plan B One-Step morning-after pill without a prescription to 15 — younger than the current limit of 17. The FDA decided that the pill could be sold on drugstore shelves near condoms, instead of locked behind pharmacy counters.

Obama, speaking at a news conference while in Mexico, said the FDA's decision was based on "solid scientific evidence." What's still unclear is whether the administration will prevail on its appeal of a court order that would lift all age limits on purchasers of the pill.

Obama Nominee Stirs Controversy: Abortion Saves Women From ‘Conscription Into Maternity’

A Georgetown law professor and former Department of Justice employee that was nominated to what is considered the second most powerful circuit court in America is stirring controversy over her past articles and speeches, which some perceive as presenting radical abortion and feminist views.

Nina Pillard, 52, (pictured left of Obama) was placed under strict scrutiny on Wednesday in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has alleged that Barack Obama might be trying to pack the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals with liberal judges.

“I have concerns about your nomination,” Senator Ted Cruz of Texas told the nominee. “The primary source we have are your academic writings, and those writings to me suggest that your views may well be considerably out of the mainstream.”

“Do you believe pro-life protesters… are fairly analogous to Ku Klux Klan members who lynched African-Americans simply because of their race?” grilled Senator Mike Lee of Utah, pointing to Pillard’s arguments in a past abortion case. “Is this a fair comparison?”

“Not at all, not at all,” she replied.

“Any personal views I might have would be irrelevant to my serving as a judge,” she told Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa.

However, other Christian organizations are also expressing concern with Pillard’s writings, in which she stated that abortion is needed to “free[] women from historically routine conscription into maternity.” She also took aim at those who oppose contraception insurance coverage, noting that they “reinforce[] broader patterns of discrimination against women as a class of presumptive breeders.”

Hate to say it, but the damage has already been done - even the Reagan/Bush federal court appointees are siding with pro-abortion/Planned Parenthood groups in recent rulings.

Obama the "most abortion President"? He's not the only one, if that's what anyone is asking.

Cruz needs to stay in DC and serve his state of Texas as a newly-elected Jr. Senator(from last year), instead of flying around the country trying to start an early campaign for President.

As Pro-Lifers March on Washington, Obama Says Abortion Helps Women 'Fulfill Their Dreams'

As winter storms barrage the east coast of the US and a wind chill temperature of minus eight degrees freezes DC, hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates are in the nation’s capitol  for the 41st annual March for Life event on Wednesday.

Today marks the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Along with its companion Doe v. Bolton, abortion was legalized in all nine months of pregnancy, for any reason, in the United States. Last year, it was estimated that 500,000 pro-life advocates demonstrated against abortion on the 40th anniversary of the crucial supreme court decision. The rallies will be covered on social media outlets, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, using 360 degree cameras for those who want to experience the events online.

On Wednesday, Pope Francis sent out a tweet supporting the pro-life marchers and offering his prayers: “I join the March for Life in Washington with my prayers. May God help us respect all life, especially the most vulnerable,” he tweeted.

On a day set aside to mourn the sadness, hardship, and pain associated with abortion, President Obama praised Roe v Wade as a great moment in history for women, saying that today, "We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to protecting a woman’s access to safe, affordable health care and her constitutional right to privacy, including the right to reproductive freedom.  And we resolve to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, support maternal and child health, and continue to build safe and healthy communities for all our children. Because this is a country where everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams."

It is estimated that over 55 million abortions have been performed since 1973, the year it was legalized. If you do the math on those appalling figures, the numbers are deeply disturbing:

1.382 million abortions every year
115,167 abortions every month
26,577 abortions every week
3,786 abortions every day
157 abortions every hour
2.6 abortions every minute

Democratic Party Chair Wishes Roe v. Wade a “Happy Birthday”

A very sad phenomenon exists today, which is that the left conflates ‘women’s rights’ with killing unborn children in the womb.  The two are in fact mutually exclusive, because there are no other rights without the right to life.  That is true for unborn baby girls and unborn baby boys.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL)15%, a leftist poster-child, wished Roe v. Wade a happy 41st “birthday” today because of her “commitment to protecting women’s rights,” while women and men, young and old, marched on the National Mall toward the Supreme Court to defend life.

wassermanschulzHas she stopped to think of the 55 million American babies who were aborted since Roe v. Wade, who will never be able to celebrate their birthday?

Abortion does nothing to advance the rights of women; it hurts them.  The 7.046 billion people on Earth were all born of women.  Debbie was one of them.

If Debbie really cared about women, she would stop advocating murdering them in the womb in their earliest stages of development.
There are better, healthier, more American ways to advance the rights of women — and men (sorry, liberals, men are people too, with rights!) — and children, and families.

As a woman, mother, daughter, friend & policy maker, I honor #Roe41 by reaffirming my commitment to protecting women’s rights.

And one of those options is adoption, a word liberals seem to fear.  Grazie Pozo Christie is a Cuban-American medical doctor who is also an adoptive mother.  In an op-ed explaining her transition to joys and truth of being pro-life she states:

I looked around our country and realized that our culture had erected a temple to self-realization and sexual liberation, and therefore abortion has to be available, because unwanted children will continue to be conceived, no matter how many “free” contraceptives are provided.

Nothing restricts personal liberty like a pregnancy and parenthood. As a doctor I can tell you that no scientist questions the fact that a zygote, embryo, fetus and infant are all human beings in different stages of development. (emphasis added) Those who believe in unrestricted abortion license do not acknowledge the conflicting right of the little human being, who might be unwanted, but is just as valuable and beautiful as a wanted child.

The left does not respect the right to life, our most fundamental right.  Instead, they manufacture artificial rights like the “right” of a woman to kill her unborn child.  That’s why, as pro-life conservatives, we must take a bold stand and speak for the unborn, whose voices cannot yet be heard.
