Britain: Muslim **** Gangs Run Wild

1,400 British non-Muslim children were gang-raped and brutalized by Muslims in the British city of Rotherham, in accord with the Qur’anic allowance for the sexual enslavement of infidel women that the Islamic State has pointed to in order to justify its exploitation of captive Yazidi and Christian women. But no airstrikes were called in Rotherham; rather, British officials there “described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought as racist; others remembered clear direction from their managers not to do so.” And now four years of key and highly incriminating files have gone missing.

According to the Mirror, “Professor Alexandra Jay, who wrote the bombshell report revealing 1,400 young girls were abused in the town over 15 years, said minutes from key meetings have disappeared. Rotherham Council was slammed in her report for ignoring the scandal and its leader and chief executive have both since resigned.”

These files almost certainly contain damning material about how British officials wouldn’t move against the **** gangs for fear of being stigmatized as “racists” and “Islamophobes.” But those officials are still in positions of power and influence in Britain, and so these missing files are unlikely ever to be recovered.

If anyone in Britain has the courage actually to search for them, has he or she checked Nick Lowles’s office? The people who have the most to lose here are people like Lowles, the leader of the far-Left group with the Orwellian name “Hope Not Hate,” who for years smeared anyone and everyone who spoke out against these Muslim **** gangs as “racist,” “bigoted” and “Islamophobic.” The Muslim **** gangs went unreported, unprosecuted, and in general unstopped because of organizations like Hope Not Hate, and others such as Faith Matters and Tell Mama, that waged relentless war against anyone and everyone who spoke out about these issue.

(Incidentally, when these groups led the campaign to ban Pamela Geller and me from entering Britain, one of the events we had discussed going to was a rally against the **** gangs. And despite smearing us as hatemongering equivalents of British jihadist Anjem Choudary, Lowles, when challenged on the BBC, could not come up with a single “hateful” statement I have ever made in 13 books, hundreds of articles, and over 40,000 blog posts.)

Meanwhile, search for “grooming” (these gangs are usually called “grooming gangs” in the British media) at Hope Not Hate’s site, and you will see that a significant percentage of the articles mentioning this practice are attacking those who are calling attention to it and protesting against it.

Who, then, is responsible for the religion-based mass gang-**** of British girls? The British Left — in particular the “anti-hate” crusaders Lowles and Matthew Collins of Hope Not Hate, Fiyaz Mughal of Faith Matters and Tell Mama, and their friends, supporters, and allies.

The lives of 1,400 girls are ruined today because of these men. If Britain were even close to being a sane society today, these people would be being subjected to scorching criticism, and there would be a thorough public reevaluation of how much the Left’s alliance with Islamic supremacism and smear campaign against foes of jihad terror has harmed the nation and its people.

But Britain is not a sane society today, and these sinister individuals — Lowles, Mughal, and the rest of them — will continue to wield their considerable power and influence there. Or at least they will until they have outlived their usefulness to those whom they have aided, like the Communists in Iran who helped the Ayatollah Khomeini come to power, only to discover that what the “Islamophobes” had been saying about the pious cleric was all true.

And so when British society dissolves into daily bloodshed and civil war, as it almost certainly will when British officials finally say no to any further appeasement and accommodation of Islamic supremacists, and those supremacists take umbrage, the thieves of these Rotherham files (as well as Lowles, Collins, Mughal and all their accomplices) can congratulate themselves that they were never, not even for a second, “racist.”

Canadian officials identify shooter in brazen attack on Parliament complex

Canadian authorities late Wednesday identified the shooter in a brazen attack on the Parliament complex in Ottawa that left a soldier dead as Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, 32, Fox News has confirmed.

The shooting, which triggered a lockdown of the nation's capital, came just two days after a terror attack in Quebec.

A government official told Fox that investigators believe Zehaf-Bibeau, who was killed at the scene, had changed his name from Joseph Michael Hall. U.S. agencies also have been advised he was believed to be a convert to Islam from Quebec.

Counter terrorism investigators are reviewing his social media traffic and profile, with a focus on any link to the attack on two soldiers in Quebec Monday.

The Toronto Globe and Mail said sources had told the paper Zehaf-Bibeau was recently designated a “high-risk traveler” by the Canadian government and his passport had been seized.

By Wednesday night, three persons who had been taken to Ottawa Hospital with minor injuries were all released.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said in a national television address Wednesday night that the attack was "a grim reminder Canada is not immune to the kind of terrorist attacks we've seen around the world."

But, he added, "Canada will never be intimidated" and terrorists "will have no safe haven."

The first shots rang out just before 10 a.m., when a guard at the National War Monument was fatally shot. The gunman next ran into the Parliament Hill building, where one MP reported hearing as many as 30 shots fired and a sergeant at arms was later credited with shooting the suspect dead. In the following moments and hours, Royal Canadian Mounted Police converged on the scene, more shots were reported less than a mile away near a mall and officials told Ottawa residents to barricade themselves in their homes as they searched for more possible gunmen.

At a news conference hours later, authorities described a "dynamic" situation, and could not confirm whether more potential gunmen were at large, although they said no arrests had been made.

"We're still in the process of clearing Parliament Hill. It is a slow and methodical process," Ottawa police Chief Charles Bordeleau said.

The shooting at the government complex came after witnesses said they saw at least one man jump out of a Toyota Corolla and run toward the memorial and open fire on the soldier, who later died at Civic Hospital.

The soldier was identified as Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, according to his aunt, the Globe and Mail reported. Cirillo was a member of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, a regiment of Reserve Forces based in Hamilton, according to the Globe, and was training to join the Canada Border Services Agency.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the member and his loved ones," Bordeleau said.

After shooting the guard, the gunman ran to the Parliament building and unleashed a flurry of shots in the building, where witnesses later said they saw a man down near the library. Bernard Trottier, a Toronto-area MP, tweeted that the gunman inside Centre Block "has been shot and killed.”

Veteran Affairs Minister Julian Fantino told QMI Agency that Parliament’s sergeant-at-arms, Kevin Vickers, shot the gunman dead.

“All the details are not in, but the sergeant-at-arms, a former Mountie, is the one that engaged the gunman, or one of them at least, and stopped this,” Fantino said from inside Centre Block. “He did a great job and, from what I know, shot the gunman and he is now deceased.”

President Obama called the shooting "tragic" and expressed condolences to the family of the guard. The FBI was working with Canadian authorities to identify the source and extent of the threat and the U.S. embassy was placed on lockdown following the shootings, said U.S. State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf. The Pentagon authorized additional security at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, as well.

"We are following the active shooter situation in Ottawa near the National War Memorial and Parliament," Harf said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. We have full confidence in Canadian law enforcement officials. [U.S. Secretary of State John] Kerry who's on his plane on the way back from Berlin has been briefed on the situation and is following it closely."

More shootings were reported less than a mile away from Parliament Hill, near Rideau Centre Mall, but police did not know if the incidents were related and said no arrests had been made.

"Most of downtown Ottawa is in lockdown," said Ottawa police Constable Marc Soucy.

“We are still trying to clarify how many persons we are dealing with," said Ottawa Police Service spokesman Constable Chuck Benoit.

Harper was whisked away to a safe location as Royal Canadian Mounted Police converged on the complex.

Harper “is safe and has left Parliament Hill,” Jason MacDonald, his director of communications, said via Twitter. Harper cancelled a trip to Toronto, where he was to present education activist Malala Yousafzai, of Pakistan with honorary Canadian citizenship.

Witnesses told the Globe and Mail the Parliament Hill building was locked down and police ordered journalists to shelter in the foyer in front of the House of Commons. Members of Parliament also took cover in the building, tweeting from inside the building.

Michelle Rempel, a Conservative MP from Calgary, used Twitter to communicate with the outside world: “Mom im okay Im in hiding,” tweeted Rempel, a Conservative MP from Calgary.

Another MP, Democrat Hélène Laverdière, told CBC that she heard to 20 to 30 shots and hit the floor.

“There are currently active shooters in the Parliament Hill vicinity,” read an email sent out to the Prime Minister’s staff, according to Canada.com.

At the memorial, emergency responders were seen performing CPR on the shooting victim.

The drama unfolded two days after two Canadian soldiers were run over -- and one of them killed -- in Quebec by a man with jihadist sympathies. And on Tuesday, Canada had raised its domestic terror level from low to medium due to "an increase in general chatter from radical Islamist organizations like ISIL, Al Qaeda, al-Shabab and others who pose a clear threat to Canadians," said Jean-Christophe de Le Rue, a spokesman for the public safety minister.

Scott Walsh, who was working on Parliament Hill, told CBC that he saw a man running with a double-barreled shotgun, wearing a scarf and blue jeans. Walsh said the man hopped over the fence that surrounded Parliament Hill and forced someone out of their car, then drove to the front doors of the Parliament building and fired at least two shots.

A Canadian official told Fox News witnesses described the shooter as having long, dark curly hair and a tan complexion and said he was wearing a white bandana and white hoodie. They said there was no license plate on the Toyota Corolla.

Public buildings near Parliament, including Ottawa City Hall, the University of Ottawa and primary schools were locked down. The Rideau Centre Mall, a block from the war memorial, was also locked down after a report of shots fired nearby, although a spokeswoman said no shooting occurred inside.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said "our thoughts and prayers are with those injured.”

ISIS Price List for Sex Slaves Surfaces, Highest Prices Paid for Children and Infants

A document has surfaced detailing the ISIS-approved price list for Christian and Yazidi sex slaves abducted by the barbaric terror group, which also reveals that the highest prices are paid for children and infants.

“We have been informed that the market for sale of women had been witnessing a reduction in price which effects the needs for the Islamic State and the funding for the Mujahideen,” the document reads, according to an English translation of the notice. “For this, the commerce department had decided to set a fixed price regarding the sale of women. Therefore, all auctioneers are to abide by this and anyone who breaks the rules will be executed.”

Featuring the ISIS seal of approval, the document then provides a price list in dinars for the sale of the Christian and Yazidi women, which is broken down according to their age range. It also notes that buyers are not permitted to have more than three sex slaves, except for “foreign sales to Turks, Syrians and Gulf states.”

While forty to fifty-year-old women are being priced at the equivalent of $43, and twenty to thirty-year-old women at $86, children nine years old and younger are being sold for $200,000 Iraqi dinar, or $172 dollars. Infants as young as one year old are available for sale according to the list.

Corresponding with the release of the document, a video of enthusiastic Muslim men waiting for the Yazidi slaves they have purchased has also surfaced online, generating outrage and horror.

“Today is the slave market day. Today is the day where this verse applies: ‘Except with their wives and the [captives] whom their right hands possess, for [then] they are not to be blamed,’” a translation of the video states. “Today is distribution day, Allah willing. … By Allah, man, I am looking for one to get me a girl.”

The men awaiting their sex slaves then discuss how blue or green-eyed women fetch a higher price in negotiation. They also explain how a 15-year-old woman would have to be checked to ensure that she has teeth.

“If she doesn’t have teeth, why would I want her?” one of the men asks.

Another comments that he would be happy to sell his slave for a Glock pistol.

Last August, the United Nations issued a statement condemning the “barbaric acts” of sexual violence by ISIS fighters.

“We condemn, in the strongest terms, the explicit targeting of women and children and the barbaric acts the ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ has perpetrated on minorities in areas under its control, and we remind all armed groups that acts of sexual violence are grave human rights violations that can be considered as war crimes and crimes against humanity,” declared Nickolay Mladenov, special representative of the U.N. secretary-general for Iraq, and Zainab Hawa Bangura, special representative of the secretary-general on sexual violence in conflict.

The statement also revealed evidence of **** being used as a weapon of war. Women and children belonging to Yazidi, Christian, Turkomen and Shabak communities are especially targeted as sex slaves.

Erdogan: women are not equal to men

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan set off a new controversy on Monday, declaring that women are not equal to men and accusing feminists of not understanding the special status that Islam attributes to mothers.

Addressing a meeting in Istanbul on women and justice, Erdogan said men and women are created differently, that women cannot be expected to undertake the same work as men, and that mothers enjoy a high position that only they can reach.

"You cannot put women and men on an equal footing," Erdogan said. "It is against nature. They were created differently. Their nature is different. Their constitution is different."

Erdogan added: "Motherhood is the highest position ... You cannot explain this to feminists. They don't accept motherhood. They have no such concern."

Lawyer and women's rights activist Hulya Gulbahar said Erdogan's comments were in violation of Turkey's constitution, Turkish laws and international conventions on gender equality and didn't help efforts to stem high incidences of violence against women in Turkey.

"Such comments by state officials which disregard equality between men and women play an important role in the rise of violence against women," Gulbahar said. "Such comments aim to make women's presence in public life — from politics to arts, from science to sports — debatable."

Erdogan, a devout Muslim, often courts controversy with divisive public comments. He has previously angered women's groups by stating that women should bear at least three children and by attempting to outlaw abortion and adultery.

He raised eyebrows this month by declaring that Muslims had discovered the Americas before Christopher Columbus.

ISIS Posts Guidelines For Owning Sex Slaves
27 tips on how to **** and punish sex slaves even if they are prepubescent



ISIS has released what CBS News has described as a "strict code of conduct in the matter of stealing young women and trading them like cattle for sexual gratification."

The list of 27 rules translated by MEMRI (below) are set in a question and answer format. They were issued by Research and Fatwa Department of the Islamic State with a title that translates into "Questions and Answers on Taking Captives and Slaves." MEMRI believes it was  "released in response to the uproar caused by the many reports this summer that ISIS had taken Yazidi girls and women as sex slaves."

Trying to explain what Shariah law says about sex with female slaves, the guide discusses women in a manner that others would discuss inanimate property.  It explains rules such as its approval of having sex with a slave immediately after capturing them only if they are a virgin, otherwise one would have to wait till they are purified. Further, "It is permissible to have intercourse with the female slave who hasn't reached puberty if she is fit for intercourse; however if she is not fit for intercourse, then it is enough to enjoy her without intercourse."

The rules do point out that one cannot torture a sex slave, but punishment is allowable.

Below is each of the 27 horrifying rules:

    "Question 1: What is al-sabi?

    "Al-Sabi is a woman from among ahl al-harb [the people of war] who has been captured by Muslims.

    "Question 2: What makes al-sabi permissible?

    "What makes al-sabi permissible [i.e., what makes it permissible to take such a woman captive] is [her] unbelief. Unbelieving [women] who were captured and brought into the abode of Islam are permissible to us, after the imam distributes them [among us]."

    "Question 3: Can all unbelieving women be taken captive?

    "There is no dispute among the scholars that it is permissible to capture unbelieving women [who are characterized by] original unbelief [kufr asli], such as thekitabiyat [women from among the People of the Book, i.e. Jews and Christians] and polytheists. However, [the scholars] are disputed over [the issue of] capturing apostate women. The consensus leans towards forbidding it, though some people of knowledge think it permissible. We [ISIS] lean towards accepting the consensus…"

    "Question 4: Is it permissible to have intercourse with a female captive?

    "It is permissible to have sexual intercourse with the female captive. Allah the almighty said: '[Successful are the believers] who guard their chastity, except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are free from blame [Koran 23:5-6]'..."

    "Question 5: Is it permissible to have intercourse with a female captive immediately after taking possession [of her]?

    "If she is a virgin, he [her master] can have intercourse with her immediately after taking possession of her. However, is she isn't, her uterus must be purified [first]…"

    "Question 6: Is it permissible to sell a female captive?

    "It is permissible to buy, sell, or give as a gift female captives and slaves, for they are merely property, which can be disposed of [as long as that doesn't cause [the Muslim ummah] any harm or damage."

    "Question 7: Is it permissible to separate a mother from her children through [the act of] buying and selling?

    "It is not permissible to separate a mother from her prepubescent children through buying, selling or giving away [a captive or slave]. [But] it is permissible to separate them if the children are grown and mature."

    "Question 8: If two or more [men] buy a female captive together, does she then become [sexually] permissible to each of them?

    "It is forbidden to have intercourse with a female captive if [the master] does not own her exclusively. One who owns [a captive] in partnership [with others] may not have sexual intercourse with her until the other [owners] sell or give him [their share]."

    "Question 9: If the female captive was impregnated by her owner, can he then sell her?

    "He can't sell her if she becomes the mother of a child..."

    "Question 10: If a man dies, what is the law regarding the female captive he owned?

    "Female captives are distributed as part of his estate, just as all [other parts] of his estate [are distributed]. However, they may only provide services, not intercourse, if a father or [one of the] sons has already had intercourse with them, or if several [people] inherit them in partnership."

    "Question 16: Can two sisters be taken together while taking slaves?

    "A man is allowed [to use] al-'azl during intercourse with his female slave with or without her consent."

    "Question 19: Is it permissible to beat a female slave?

    "It is permissible to beat the female slave as a [form of] darb ta'deeb [disciplinary beating], [but] it is forbidden to [use] darb al-takseer [literally, breaking beating], [darb] al-tashaffi [beating for the purpose of achieving gratification], or [darb] al-ta'dheeb [torture beating]. Further, it is forbidden to hit the face."

    Question 20: What is the ruling regarding a female slave who runs away from her master?

    "A male or female slave's running away [from their master] is among the gravest of sins…"

    "Question 21: What is the earthly punishment of a female slave who runs away from her master?

    "She [i.e. the female slave who runs away from her master] has no punishment according to the shari'a of Allah; however, she is [to be] reprimanded [in such a way that] deters others like her from escaping."

German Wishes Muslim Man ‘Merry Christmas’ – Muslim Pulls Knife and Stabs German in the Back

Another life lesson from the religion of peace.

A trio of well wishers were telling passersby “Merry Christmas” in Cologne, Germany, when they happened on a Muslim man accompanying two Muslim women. The man took offense at the greeting and proceeded to attack one of the men with a knife, stabbing him multiple times in the back and neck.

Considering the attack took place on Christmas Eve, the Muslim man was probably out searching for prey, looking to be offended just enough so that he could carry out his cowardly attack and then claim himself as a victim of “Islamophobia”.

Danish couple beaten with chains on Christmas Eve

There has been a rash of Muslim-on-Christian attacks this Christmas in Western countries. More of the daily news stories the mainstream media refuses to cover.

Denmark: Nanna and her boyfriend Mads was beaten with iron chains by Somali youths, on the way home on Christmas Eve.

For Nanna and her boyfriend Mads, Christmas Eve 2014 will not be quickly forgotten.

The couple from Vesterbro in Copenhagen was knocked down at midnight, when they were on their way home from Christmas Eve with Mads’ family.

The couple was walking along the street near Enghave Plads when a young guy came cycling. He was only 16-17 years, but seemed very confrontational.

– ‘What are you looking at? Do you have a problem ‘, he told us several times and got off his bike, Nanna says to Ekstra Bladet.

At one point Mads replied and said to the young guy ‘What – what do you want’? and it seem to set set the teenager off.

According Nanna he jumped on Mads with a bottle which he struck him in the head with.

Suddenly several came up from a basement with iron chains, the kind used to lock scooters and motorcycles. They jumped on Mads. He defended himself, while punches and kicks rained down on him, and soon he fell to the ground.

– He shouted at me that I should run, but I was afraid that they would kill him. So I intervened, says Nanna.

    She was knocked to the ground and was beaten with chains in her face. Only then the group of young people disappeared.

    There were called for an ambulance, and police also came to the site.

    The couple were treated at Rigshospitalet’s trauma center. Mads fortunately had managed to defend his head. He’s got bumps and bruises, but Nanna got the worst beating, and was hit directly in the face with chains, and among other things has lost a tooth and got a split lip.

    Nanna and Mads are now trying to recover from the assault. The Christmas holidays with the family in Jylland is canceled.

    Nanna describes the perpetrators as migrant youth. One was Somali.

    She has subsequently chosen to put her story on Facebook, where the violent images of Nanna was widely shared.

    Copenhagen police confirms to Ekstra Bladet, that there has been a violent attack in the street of Vesterbro in Copenhagen Christmas Eve, but nobody has been arrested.

    However the Police have a description on two of the assailants, stating they were both Somalis.

My lip is split in two, all the way up to the nose. … I do not understand.. I am left with a lot of questions. Why? Why us? What is the meaning of this extreme violence? What is happening in the head of those immigrants, when they thrash a couple that is on their way home from Christmas Eve? I am filled with hate, frustration, and sadness. Suddenly more youths come up from a basement. They are armed with iron chains, the kind that is uses for locking scooters and motorcycles. They attack Mads. He defends himself, while punches and kicks rain down on him, and soon he fall to the ground.

‘- He shouted at me that I should run, but I was afraid that they would kill him. So I intervened,’ says Nanna Woodsman.

She was knocked to the ground and had her face beaten with the iron chains. Thereafter, the youths ran away. …

Nanna was hit directly in the face with chains and among other things she has lost a tooth and got a split lip. …

Islamic Law: Girls Can Be Married Even ‘In The Cradle’

Muslim attempts at “reformation” continue to be limited to words not actions.  A few days ago, efforts to set a minimum age for marriage in Saudi Arabia “received a blow after the Grand Mufti said there was nothing wrong with girls below 15 getting married.”

Two years earlier, the justice ministry began pushing for setting a minimum age in the Arabian kingdom.  According to Gulf News, “It submitted an integrated study on the negative psychological and social effects of underage marriages to religious scholars and requested a fatwa that sets a minimum age.”

However, the ulema—the “religious scholar,” the learned ones of Islamic law—responded by totally ignoring the request.  Saudi Arabia’s highest religious authority, its Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, shrugged the whole matter off by saying “There is currently no intention to discuss the issue.”  In other words, case closed.

Although the brief Gulf News report focuses on the age 15, going back to earlier reports when the justice ministry began bringing this issue up, one discovers that the issue at stake is full-blown pedophilia.

Back in 2011, for example, Dr. Salih bin Fawzan, a prominent cleric and member of Saudi Arabia’s highest religious council, issued a fatwa asserting that there is no minimum age for marriage and that girls can be married “even if they are in the cradle.”

Appearing in Saudi papers, the fatwa complained that “Uninformed interference with Sharia rulings by the press and journalists is on the increase”—likely a reference to the justice ministry’s advocacy—“posing dire consequences to society, including their interference with the question of marriage to small girls who have not reached maturity, and their demand that a minimum age be set for girls to marry.”

Fawzan insisted that nowhere does Sharia (or Islamic law) set an age limit for marrying girls: like countless Muslim scholars before him, he relied on Koran 65:4, which discusses marriage to females who have not yet begun menstruating (i.e., are prepubescent) and the fact that Muhammad, Islam’s role model, married Aisha when she was six or seven, “consummating” the marriage—or, in modern/Western parlance, raping her—when she was nine.

The grand point of the Saudi fatwa, however, is not that girls as young as nine can be married, based on Muhammad’s example, but rather that there is no age limit whatsoever.  The only question open to consideration is whether the girl is physically capable of handling her “husband.”  Fawzan documented this point by quoting Ibn Battal’s authoritative exegesis of Sahih Bukhari:

    The ulema [Islam’s scholars and interpreters] have agreed that it is permissible for fathers to marry off their small daughters, even if they are in the cradle.  But it is not permissible for their husbands to have sex with them unless they are capable of being placed beneath and bearing the weight of the men.  And their capability in this regard varies based on their nature and capacity.  Aisha was six when she married the prophet, but he had sex with her when she was nine [that is, when she was deemed capable].

Fawzan concluded his fatwa with a warning: “It behooves those who call for setting a minimum age for marriage to fear Allah and not contradict his Sharia, or try to legislate things Allah did not permit.  For laws are Allah’s province; and legislation is his exclusive right, to be shared by none other.  And among these are the rules governing marriage.”

Once again, case closed.

Fawzan, of course, is not the first to insist on the legitimacy of pedophilia in Islam.  Nor is this just some theoretic, abstract point; the lives of countless young girls are devastated because of this teaching.  Recall, for instance, the 8-year-old girl who died on her “wedding” night as her “husband” raped her; or the 12-year-old who died giving birth to a stillborn; or the 10-year-old who made headlines by hiding  from her 80-year-old “husband.”

Finally, it should be borne in mind that Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz—the highest Islamic authority in the land of Islam’s birth—not only dismisses calls to place an age restriction for marriage, but is the same Grand Mufti who called for the destruction of all Christian churches on the Arabian Peninsula (as first reported here).

The consistency makes perfect sense.  After all, in the eyes of non-Muslims, or “non-believers,” Sharia law is nothing less than a legal system built atop the words and deeds of a seventh century Arab, whose behavior—from pedophilia and sex-slavery to war mongering and plundering to destroying non-Muslim places of worship—was very much that of a seventh century Arab.

Islamic jihadist says slavery biggest honor for non-Muslim women

According to Islamic law, Muslim men can take “captives of the right hand” (Qur’an 4:3, 4:24, 33:50). The Qur’an says: “O Prophet! Lo! We have made lawful unto thee thy wives unto whom thou hast paid their dowries, and those whom thy right hand possesseth of those whom Allah hath given thee as spoils of war” (33:50). 4:3 and 4:24 extend this privilege to Muslim men in general, as does this passage. “Certainly will the believers have succeeded: They who are during their prayer humbly submissive, and they who turn away from ill speech, and they who are observant of zakah, and they who guard their private parts except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed” (Qur’an 23:1-6).

The **** of captive women is also sanctioned in Islamic tradition:

    Abu Sirma said to Abu Sa’id al Khadri (Allah he pleased with him): 0 Abu Sa’id, did you hear Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) mentioning al-’azl? He said: Yes, and added: We went out with Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) on the expedition to the Bi’l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing ‘azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah’s Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him), and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born. (Muslim 3371)

Notice that the controversy is not over whether the Muslims can **** the captives but only over coitus interruptus. The **** is taken for granted.

Saudi Arabia Denies it Will Allow Jews to Work in the Kingdom
Saudi Arabia’s Labor Ministry pours cold water on a report that it will be allowing Jews to freely work in the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia’s Labor Ministry is denying a report in a local newspaper that it will be employing Jews within the Kingdom, according to Middle East Eye.

On Tuesday, the Saudi daily Al-Watan reported that Saudi authorities are now allowing people of all faiths, including Jews, to work in the Kingdom, saying this was proof of the country's openness to other religions and cultures.

Al-Watan stated that the Saudi Labor Ministry website, which deals with "importing [workers] for institutions and companies," lists a number of options for foreign workers' religions: Zoroastrianism, Communism, Judaism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, and no religion.

The paper went on to say that "the labor authorities in the kingdom have permitted the import of people who practice Judaism for working on its soil" and called this "a move that emphasizes openness to all monotheistic religions and to people from other cultures."

But the Saudi Labor Ministry later poured cold water on the report, according to Middle East Eye, releasing an official statement denying that there was any change to the official policy in the Kingdom.

The ministry said the while new forms for foreign employees provide the option to choose Judaism as a faith, it does not mean that the government has made an official decision to authorize the employment of Jews in the kingdom.

Among the other religious beliefs put forward by the ministry as options on the forms are Zoroastrianism, Communism, Judaism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, and no religion.

While the country has never established formal relations with the State of Israel or allowed Israelis to travel to the Kingdom, its attitude towards non-Israeli Jews has been more ambiguous.

In the 1970’s, visitors to the Kingdom had reported having to sign affidavits swearing they were not Jewish.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), an organization monitoring global anti-Semitism, has previously observed that Saudi Arabia “bars anyone from bringing into Saudi Arabia religious ritual objects, including religious texts, from any faith other than Islam, effectively banning religiously observant Jews from entering the country.”

In recent years there have been claims that Saudi Arabia and Israel were getting close and perhaps are even secret allies, though most of this has been disseminated by Saudi Arabia’s regional rival, Iran.

Iran has accused the Saudis of conspiring with Israel against it. These accusations came in a series of Iranian media reports claiming, among other things, that the head of the Saudi intelligence service met with several senior Israeli security officials and that a Saudi Arabian delegation flew to Israel for meetings with high-ranking Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

An earlier report had said that Israel and Saudi Arabia had teamed up to launch a virus against Iran’s nuclear program.

A Tribute to Charlie Hebdo
Publishing the cartoons that jihadist fanatics don’t want you to see

“I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees.” –Stephane “Charb” Charbonnier (1967 – 2015), publisher, Charlie Hebdo.

On Wednesday morning, the French satire magazine Charlie Hebdo was once again targeted by violent jihadists for the crime of depicting in print the image of the Prophet Mohammed.

According to initial reports, three gunmen killed 10 magazine staffers and two police officers who responded to the shooting.

The magazine’s offices were firebombed in 2011 after it initially published cartoons depicting Mohammed, one of a string of attacks retaliating against predominately European publications that dared to “blaspheme.”

Those attacks, like today’s shooting, were brutal and savage attempts to silence speech that their fanatical perpetrators find offensive to their seventh-century worldview and conception of their religion.

The Washington Free Beacon extends its deepest condolences to the staff of Charlie Hebdo, their families, and all of the people of France rocked by this morning’s shooting. We pray the shooters are found and brought to justice.

We also stand in solidarity with all journalists, cartoonists, and social commentators threatened with violence or attacked by censorious fanatics. We feel a fitting tribute to Charb and his publication would be to republish the cartoons for which he gave his life.

Notorious Muslim warns U.S. media
'People are willing to die to defend the honor of the prophet'

Britain’s most notorious Islamic cleric has taken to the U.S. airwaves to issue a warning to any American news outlet thinking about depicting Muhammad or mocking Islam.

Doing so will most likely result in a jihadist attack similar to the deadly massacre at the Paris office of satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, declared radical British Muslim preacher Anjem Choudary.

Choudary warned Americans to take lessons from the case of Theo Van Gogh, the Dutch filmmaker killed by a Muslim in 2004 after making a film critical of Islam.

Choudary was speaking Thursday to weekend talk-radio host Aaron Klein of New York’s AM 970 The Answer, who this week launched a daily audio online feature.

Klein had referred to complaints in the wake of the Paris attack that Comedy Central had censored a 2010 “South Park” episode that originally was slated to depict Muhammad. In response to threats from Muslims, the episode was altered, and the Muhammad figure was obscured with the word “censored” in a black rectangle.

Klein stressed Comedy Central had not taken any move to air the episode uncensored. He asked Choudary whether or not such a move would result in attacks against the network.

“Yes, I think there is a very strong possibility of a very severe reaction if that were to take place,” Choudary said. “What I would say is that people have been hiding under these euphemisms of freedom of speech, the right to be satirical. There are sensibilities and emotions of people around the world which I’ve taken into consideration.”

Continued Choudary: “Perhaps we can have a moral relationship between the people of France and Muslims. But if they continue down this line of provocation, and if the Americans and ‘South Park’ as well go down that line, I think it can only have really one repercussion. We saw it in Paris. I think that people will come out. They will want to defend the honor of the prophet. Remember, they consider the honor of the prophet even more dear to them than themselves, let alone their own parents or children.”

Choudary went on to warn that any American media outlet that depicted Muhammad or insulted the “honor” of Islam would face similar consequences to that of Van Gogh or the Charlie Hebdo staff.

Klein asked Choudary to clarify: “What you are saying is that if any American news agency or whatever it is, if any American news network depicts the prophet Muhammad, you do expect, to be clear, that they would face the same consequences as Charlie Hebdo? Meaning that they can be attacked?”

“I believe so,” replied Choudary. “I believe that that would have severe consequences. You know, I am not in charge of Muslims, for example, or how they would react. But one thing can be clear: that the divine text is not subject to change or amendment.”

He added: “What can be changed is man-made laws. People make up laws as they go along. They move the parameters of acceptable behavior. They put curtailments on freedom of expression. And I think in the current climate of insecurity and instability it was about time the honor of the prophet was defended and protected. And people need to take the lesson of what took place yesterday and that has taken place previously as we have already said with people like Theo Van Gogh.

“You know, people are willing to die to defend the honor of the prophet and the sanctity of the Quran. I mean, these are extremely serious values for Muslims. People fight for freedom and democracy. They fight for different things. Muslims fight to defend the prophet’s honor.”

Klein conducted the interview to air on his weekend radio show Sunday as well as for posting today on a new subscription service that offers daily audio updates for his listeners at ConnectPal.com, a recently launched online content marketplace.

In the wake of the Paris attack, as WND reported earlier Thursday, some in the media are recalling Comedy Central’s controversial decision to censor the 2010 episode that was slated to depict Muhammad.

Writing at IndieWire.com, blogger Sam Adams complained: “It doesn’t take fanatics with guns to suppress free speech, just media conglomerates with stockholders where their spines should be.”

Time Magazine media writer James Poniewozik said “the Charlie Hebdo attackers were attacking you too.” He wrote that “unless all of us reject the kowtowing and the playing-it-safe, it absolutely has worked and will work again,” referring to the “South Park” case.

Continued Poniewozik: “No one had to physically attack Comedy Central to make this happen; to this day, you can’t stream an authorized version of “201” online. Ironically, part of the program that was censored was making the point that suppressing speech with violent threats works.”

“The killers in Paris may have been lashing out at cartoons you never saw and would never have wanted to. But the same attack was also against something you would be interested in. You just may never know it, because you’ll never get to see it.”

Saudi blogger Badawi 'flogged for Islam insult'

A Saudi Arabian blogger has been publicly flogged after being convicted of cybercrime and insulting Islam, reports say. Raif Badawi, who was sentenced to 1,000 lashes and 10 years in jail, was flogged 50 times. The flogging will be carried out weekly, campaigners say. Mr Badawi, the co-founder of a now banned website called the Liberal Saudi Network, was arrested in 2012.

FIREBOMBED: German Newspaper That Reprinted Charlie Hebdo Cartoons Attacked Overnight
As thousands march in Paris, more terror in Germany

Two men have been arrested in Germany in connection with an overnight firebombing of Hamburger Morgenpost, according to Hamburg police. The newspaper had reprinted the satirical cartoons from Charlie Hebdo following the attack in Paris last week, under the headline "This much freedom must be possible!" There are no apparent inuries.

In an article posted on the Morgenpost website early Sunday, the paper quotes the police as saying that it is too soon to determine if the attacks are related.

Detroit Police: Man Stabs Two at Bus Stop for Not Being Muslim

 A Detroit-area man is behind bars after he allegedly stabbed two people waiting at the bus stop because they answered no when he asked if they were Muslim.

According to police, Terrance Thomas, 39, joined others who were waiting at a bus stop near Detroit on Saturday as they were making small talk among themselves. He then “asked some of the folks there if they were Muslims,” according to Southfield Police Chief Eric Hawkins.

Two replied to his question, stating that they were not. Hawkins states that there was then “some back-and-forth between the victims and the suspect,” who pulled out a knife moments later.

One man, whose name has not yet been released, was stabbed five times: once in the face, once in the neck and three times in the back. Another who witnessed the attack attempted to stop Thomas was stabbed in the hand.

Thomas then fled the scene of the attack, but was apprehended by police minutes later. He was found to be carrying two knives with three-inch blades, as well as some marijuana.

The suspect has been charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, one count of carrying a dangerous weapon, and one count of possession of a controlled substance. The FBI is also looking into the matter to determine whether or not to press hate crime charges.

“[W]e do know that he was not happy that [the victims] indicated that they were not Muslims,” Hawkins told the Washington Post.

Thomas’ bail has been set at 1 million dollars, and is set to appear in court on March 4.

The victims in the incident have been released from local Providence Hospital and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

As previously reported, an Oklahoma man who had recently converted to Islam was shot and killed last fall after he beheaded his former co-worker and stabbed another.

A spokesman for the Moore, Oklahoma Police Department told reporters that Alton Nolen, 30, “recently started trying to convert some of his co-workers to the Muslim religion” when he was fired from his job at Vaughan Foods. He later drove to his former place of employment and entered the front office, where he encountered Colleen Huffort, 54, and began attacking her with a knife.

“He did kill Colleen and did sever her head,” police spokesperson Jeremy Lewis stated.

Nolen then began attacking co-worker Traci Johnson, 43, who caught the attention of others in the building with her screaming. One of those who heard Johnson’s cries for help was Chief Operating Officer Mark Vaughn, who also serves as an Oklahoma County reserve deputy. Being armed at the time, he shot Nolen dead, saving Johnson’s life.

The attacker’s Facebook page was stated to contain “provocative” content that is Islamic in nature and critical of the United States. Nolen also had a number of tattoos on his body, including one featuring the Arabic greeting “as-salaamu ataikum,” meaning “peace be upon you.”

Gang-raped Saudi woman sentenced to 200 lashes, 6-months in jail

A 28 year old Saudi woman has been sentenced to 200 lashes and six months in jail for indecency and speaking out to media about her subjection to a gang **** in 2006, Iranian PressTV reported Saturday. The woman was, back in 2006, driven to a secluded area after entering the car of a student friend when she was 19 years old. There, she was raped by seven men, according to the report.

    Religious jurisprudence textbooks for Al-Azhar students address, among other things, the issue of eating dead human beings, quoting Mansour bin Yunus al-Bahuti, a scholar of the Hanbali school of jurisprudence who died 500 years ago, as saying that eating dead Jews, Christians and non-believers is halal (permissible by Islam) if it is a necessity, but non-Muslims are not
    to eat dead Muslims, even out of necessity.

    Another textbook quotes Imam al-Sherbini of the Shafi school of jurisprudence as saying that dead prophets of any religion should not be eaten. And when he was told that prophets do not die and that they lie alive praying in their graves according to the Hadith, he said that he meant if they were found dead before they were buried.

    He also clarified that the meat of dead Jews, Christians and infidels should be eaten raw, not cooked or grilled.

    Other Al-Azhar textbooks say that eating dead Jews, Christians and non-believers can be allowed not only out of necessity, but also as a punishment for heresy.

    In the book “Persuasion in Resolving the Words of Abi Shoga” that takes after the Shafi school of jurisprudence, the author says a Muslim warrior may kill and eat infidel men, women and children if they were not warriors themselves.

    But bin Abdel Salam recommends eating warrior adults and leaving warrior children for their economic value as slaves.

    The chapter about food in the Hanbali book “Al-Rawd Al-Moraba Fi Sharh Zad Al-Mustaqni” for the secondary Al-Azhar schools says the Prophet allowed the eating of a hyena and a horse, which the Hanafi and Maliki schools of jurisprudence disagreed with.

    The author also allowed the eating of peacocks, parrots, crows, locusts and water creatures, except frogs, crocodiles and eels. Whales may be eaten, he said, except their liver and their spleen. He also forbade the eating or
    grilling of live fish.

    In the chapter about what is permissible to eat, the book “Al-Sharh al Saghir” for Ahmed Dardir, which explains the Maliki school of jurisprudence, says it is not permissible to eat wild game hunted by a Muslim and an infidel together, or anything slaughtered by a Christian or a Jew.

    The book permits eating a giraffe and forbids eating pork. It says a Muslim may eat a dead human being out of necessity, but not eat pork or wild game that was hunted by a non-believer.

‘Mentally, Physically Traumatized': Nine-Year-Old Girl Impregnated by ISIS Rapists

A nine-year-old Yazidi girl has been impregnated after being raped by at least ten members of the barbaric Islamic group ISIS, which identifies itself as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, according to aid workers in the region.

“This girl is so young she could die if she delivers a baby,” Yousif Daoud, a Canadian-based aid worker who has been working in Iraq, told the AFP. “Even a caesarian section is dangerous. The abuse she has suffered left her mentally and physically traumatized.”

He said that the girl, whose identity remains concealed, “was sexually abused by no fewer than 10 men.”

“Most of them were front-line fighters or suicide bombers who are given girls as a reward,” Daoud explained. “She was in very bad shape.”

The child was among the 200 Yazidis that were released earlier this month after being held by ISIS since last August. Mostly women and children were freed, as well as the elderly.

A Kurdish aid group took the pregnant girl to Germany following her release, and she is currently being cared for by a medical charity.

“If she survives the ordeal, her outlook will be better than that of dozens of other pregnant, traumatized Yazidi women,” The Star reports. “Unless Canada or other Western countries are willing to accept them quickly as refugees—and allow their babies to be adopted—aid workers say, the militants’ jihad will reach into another generation.”

Daoud told the outlet that some Yazidis who are impregnated by ISIS seek abortions.

“If they are married, their husbands won’t take them back if they are pregnant. And it’s clear that the babies will never be accepted,” he explained. “I don’t know what the future would be for their babies. The girls and women don’t want them. They have suffered so much they just want to forget.”

An 18-year-old Yazidi girl simply identified as Hannan (not her real name) told the BBC in December that many girls are taken as sex slaves after being captured by ISIS. She herself had been captured, but later escaped.

“They said: ‘Yazidis are infidels. Now you will live as Muslims,'” Hannan recalled. “They took many girls for sex. They told us, ‘Forget the life you knew. … If you do not follow Islam, we will kill all of you.'”

Christians, Catholics and Yazidis alike have been targeted by ISIS for capture, with thousands believed to have been taken since last year.

Yazidis worship the Melek Tawwus, or the Peacock Angel, who they believe was an angel who fell with Satan at the rebellion, but was later forgiven and returned to Heaven. They believe that the Melek Tawwus helped create the universe, and when he descended to earth, he took the form of a peacock. The angel then purportedly transferred his array of colors to the earth.

In the Yazidi religion, when a person dies, they appear before Sheikh Adi—an 11th century Sufi—where they are questioned about their marital and sexual lives. If they are approved, they are allowed to enter into paradise. However, Yazidis also believe that a person may reincarnate until they reach a level of purity.

‘The Time Is Coming That Whoever Kills You Will Think That He Is Offering A Service To God’

How do you deal with psychotic religious warriors that believe that they are offering a service to God by killing Christians?  Ever since 9/11, we were endlessly told about what a great threat “al-Qaeda” was, but I don’t remember a single time when al-Qaeda ever marched a group of Christians out and beheaded them on camera.  ISIS appears to be an entirely different animal than al-Qaeda ever was, and it is about time that we started taking them seriously.  But the Obama administration is actually allowing Americans that went overseas to fight for ISIS to come back into the country and resume their normal lives.  To me, that is absolutely insane.  These are people that believe that they score major points with their god when they kill us.  And they especially seem to relish the opportunity to kill Christians.  Sadly, this is all part of a rising trend of Christian persecution all over the planet.  Christian churches are being burned to the ground in places such as Egypt, India and West Africa, and earlier this month we witnessed a horrific incident during which more than a hundred Christians were mercilessly gunned down in Kenya.  It is becoming increasingly dangerous to be a Christian, and it is only going to get worse in the years ahead.

You have to keep in mind that these ISIS fighters are actually convinced that they are the good guys.  They don’t believe that what they are doing is evil.  When they kill Christians, they are just doing what they believe their god wants them to do…

    A shocking new video appearing to show at least 30 Christians being beheaded and shot by ISIS in Libya has been released.

    The 29-minute video, titled ‘Until It Came To Them – Clear Evidence’, shows dozens of militants holding two separate groups captive, thought to be in the south and the west of the country.

    At least 16 men, described by Islamic State as the ‘followers of the cross from the enemy Ethiopian Church’, are lined up and shot in a desert area while 12 others are filmed being forced to walk down a beach before being beheaded.

    This follows another video in February of the beheading of a group of 21 Coptic Christians on the beach in Libya, though that terrain was rockier than the one shown in the latest film.

This video that was released makes it abundantly clear what these killers are motivated by.  The following description of the audio on this latest ISIS video comes from CNN…

    “All praise be to Allah, the Lord and cherisher of the world and may peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Mohammed. To the nation of the cross, we are back again on the sands, where the companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, have stepped on before, telling you: Muslim blood that was shed under the hands of your religion is not cheap,” the narrator says in Arabic on the 30-minute video.

    The narrator continues, “In fact, their blood is the purest blood because there is a nation behind them (which) inherits revenge. And we swear to Allah: the one who disgraced you by our hands, you will not have safety, even in your dreams, until you embrace Islam.”

Do you understand what is being said there?

They will not stop fighting until we all embrace Islam.

Not much room for negotiation there.

Meanwhile, other Islamic groups all over the planet are starting to take their cues from ISIS, and this is resulting in a rising tide of violence against Christians.

For example, recall the incident in the Mediterranean Sea the other day in which a dozen innocent Christians were tossed to their deaths…

    When a rubber dinghy carrying around 100 African refugees across the Mediterranean began to sink, a Nigerian Christian prayed for his life in an innocent act that would end in the deaths of 12 fellow migrants.

    One of the Muslims on board the rickety craft ordered him to stop, saying: ‘Here, we only pray to Allah.’

    When he refused, a violent fight ensued and 12 Christians drowned when they were thrown overboard by the Muslim refugees.

Who in the world would do such a thing?

The only reason those 12 people were killed was because they were Christians.

The following is what Reverend Franklin Graham had to say about this incident…

    “The Italian police have arrested 15 Muslims for throwing 12 people overboard and watching them helplessly drown in the Mediterranean,” said Rev. Graham in an Apr. 17 Facebook post.

    He continued, “Why? Just because they were Christians! Because Islam has a deep and relentless hatred for people who bear the Name of Christ. These Christians were among a group of 105 people who were trying to escape war and poverty in Africa and were headed to Italy to look for work.”

We saw another example of this kind of violence against Christians earlier this year in West Africa…

    It took only a few hours, but it was enough time for hundreds of radical Muslims in Niger, West Africa, to destroy dozens of churches and several Christian homes. Ten people lost their lives and hundreds were injured when Muslim mobs went on the deadly rampage in early January.

    Now, three months later, Christians living there are moving forward, determined to still preach the Gospel despite the dangers.

In most of these attacks around the globe, those involved do not believe that they are doing anything wrong.

Rather, most of the people involved in this violence believe that they are actually offering a service to their god.

And the tide is turning in the western world as well.  I don’t know if you have noticed, but it is quite socially acceptable to make jokes about Christians and to portray them as bad guys and lunatics in movies and on television shows.  Evangelical Christians are even being labeled as “potential terrorists” in official government documents, and every trace of the Christian faith is being pushed out of public life in the United States.  I discussed how this is being done in the U.S. military in this recent article, but just about everywhere you look Christianity is being pushed into the shadows.  The disdain for the faith of our forefathers has reached a crescendo, and it is not going to be any easier to be a Christian in this country in the years ahead – that is for sure.

In fact, I am sure that there will be some extremely negative comments about Christians and the Christian faith following this article.  But that is okay – we need an honest exchange of views in this nation.  May the truth triumph in the marketplace of ideas, and if you would like to add to this discussion, please do so by leaving a comment below…

2 gunmen killed outside Muhammad cartoon contest

Two gunmen were killed Sunday after opening fire on a security officer outside a provocative contest for cartoon depictions of Prophet Muhammad in Texas and a bomb squad was called in to search their vehicle as a precaution, authorities said.

The men drove up to the Curtis Culwell Center in the Dallas suburb of Garland as the contest was scheduled to end and began shooting at a security officer, the City of Garland said in a statement. Garland police officers returned fire, killing the men.

"Because of the situation of what was going on today and the history of what we've been told has happened at other events like this, we are considering their car (is) possibly containing a bomb," Officer Joe Harn, a spokesman for the Garland Police Department, said at a news conference.

Police are not aware of any ongoing threat and had not received any credible threats before the event, Harn said.

Harn said it was not immediately clear whether the shooting was connected to the event inside, a contest hosted by the New York-based American Freedom Defense Initiative that would award $10,000 for the best cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad.

Such drawings are deemed insulting to many followers of Islam and have sparked violence around the world. According to mainstream Islamic tradition, any physical depiction of the Prophet Muhammad — even a respectful one — is considered blasphemous.

The Curtis Culwell Center, a school-district owned public events space, was evacuated earlier Sunday, as were some surrounding businesses. Police blocked off a large area around the center Sunday night. There was a heavy police presence, and police helicopters circled overhead as bomb squads worked on the car.

Authorities haven't removed the bodies of the gunmen, who have not yet been identified, Harn said. The bodies are too close to the car to be removed, but that will happen once the scene is clear, he said.

The security officer who was shot worked for the Garland Independent School District, Harn said. He was treated at a local hospital for injuries and had been released Sunday night.

"Texas officials are actively investigating to determine the cause and scope of the senseless attack," Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a statement issued late Sunday.

The event featured speeches by Pamela Geller, president of the AFDI, and Geert Wilders, a Dutch lawmaker known for his outspoken criticism of Islam. Wilders received several standing ovations as he quoted former President Ronald Reagan and Texas founding father Sam Houston.

"Muhammad fought and terrorized people with the swords. Today, here in Garland, we fight Muhammad and his followers with the pen. And the pen, the drawings, will prove mightier than the sword," Wilders said during his speech.

Geller said during the event that her group had spent thousands of dollars on private security guards, several of whom could be seen standing on stage. Wilders left immediately after his speech, and Geller was not seen by an Associated Press reporter inside the hall after the shooting.

After the shooting, about 75 attendees were escorted by authorities to another room in the conference center. A woman held up an American flag, and the crowd sang "God Bless America."

They were then taken to a separate location, where they were held for about two hours until they were questioned briefly by FBI agents who took brief written statements from most people. Police officers drove some attendees to their homes and hotels, and arranged hotel rooms for others whose cars remained under lockdown.

The FBI is providing investigative assistance and bomb technician assistance, Dallas FBI spokeswoman Katherine Chaumont said.

Johnny Roby of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was attending the conference. He told the AP he was outside the building when he heard around about 20 shots that appeared to be coming from the direction of a passing car.

Roby said he then heard two single shots. He said he heard officers yell that they had the car before he was sent inside the building.

Geller told the AP before Sunday's event that she planned the contest to make a stand for free speech in response to outcries and violence over drawings of Muhammad. Though it remained unclear several hours after the shooting whether it was related to event, she said Sunday night that the shooting showed how "needed our event really was."

In January, 12 people were killed by gunmen in an attack against the Paris office of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, which had lampooned Islam and other religions and used depictions of Muhammad. Another deadly shooting occurred the following month at a free speech event in Copenhagen featuring an artist who had caricatured the prophet.

Geller's group is known for mounting a campaign against the building of an Islamic center blocks from the World Trade Center site and for buying advertising space in cities across the U.S. criticizing Islam.

When a Chicago-based nonprofit held a January fundraiser in Garland designed to help Muslims combat negative depictions of their faith, Geller spearheaded about 1,000 picketers at the event. One chanted: "Go back to your own countries! We don't want you here!" Others held signs with messages such as, "Insult those who behead others," an apparent reference to recent beheadings by the militant group Islamic State.
