oh, and since he is found NOT GUILTY!!! ALL of the media, FOX, MSNBC, CNN, you race baters can stop highlighting Zimmerman's picture to make him look white. Its over, the people have seen through your ratings race war.

Well, so much for FOX being "fair and balanced" - supposedly they hired people like Geraldo Rivera to make it JUST THAT. Rivera, of course, has been on the Trayvon bandwagon the whole time. And Rivera invited Jesuit Alex Jones on his program too.

Well, the MSM is really going over-drive in their coverage/post-coverage of this trial - all this does is put Benghazi, Snowden, Monsanto, etc on the backburners...But that's how the world operates...

Protesters of Zimmerman Acquittal March in Calif.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/protesters-zimmerman-acquittal-march-la-sf-19660601#.UeKueGwo5jo
7/14/13

Protesters angered by the acquittal of George Zimmerman held largely peaceful demonstrations in three California cities, but broke windows and started small street fires Oakland, police said.

The gatherings Saturday night ranged from a few dozen to a couple hundred people turning out to protest the verdict in the Florida courtroom over the death of Trayvon Martin, and police said some of the demonstrations continued into the early hours Sunday.

The Oakland police dispatch office said about 100 people protested, with some in the crowd breaking windows on businesses and starting small fires in the streets. As the protest wound down with the crowd dispersing, the office said that as of 2 a.m. PDT it had no word of any arrests.

Local media reports said some Oakland marchers vandalized a police squad car and police formed a line to block the protesters' path.

The Oakland Tribune said some windows on the newspaper's downtown offices were broken, and footage from a television helicopter show people attempting to start fires in the street and spray painting anti-police graffiti.

Protesters also reportedly burned an American and a California state flag and spray painted Alameda County's Davidson courthouse.

The Oakland demonstration followed a raucous but largely peaceful one in San Francisco. Police say officers escorted demonstrators as they marched on the city's Mission District. The group was dispersed by 10 p.m.

The verdict also sparked protests in Los Angeles, where demonstrators gathered in Leimert Park, the city's historically black neighborhood.

Police said that about 200 protesters gathered for what they termed a peaceful vigil.

City News Service said that at one point a smaller group stopped an Expo Line train as police urged them to return to the nearby park. But police couldn't immediately confirm that report.

Lt. Andy Neiman of the LAPD Media Relations Department said another group of 50 to 100 demonstrators started marching around midnight.

"There was a period where crowds were running among vehicles, but police dissuaded them," he said.

Neiman said he knew of no arrests.

Officials said police called in officers from around the city to keep a watch on demonstrators.

More than 40 people gathered at Sacramento City Hall, and the Sacramento Bee reported that protesters chanted: "What do we want? Justice. When do you we want it? Now. For who? Trayvon."

A banner behind speakers read, "No justice, no peace!"

Marches, rallies follow Zimmerman acquittal

Rallies in support of Trayvon Martin grew in size and intensity Sunday night as protesters in some of America’s largest cities continued demonstrating their anger at the acquittal of George Zimmerman.

In Los Angeles, protesters marched onto Interstate 10, shutting down the freeway for nearly an hour, NBC Los Angeles reported.

The LA Police Department told NBC News that one arrest has been made during a demonstration after protesters threw rocks at police.

LAPD commander Andrew Smith told NBC Los Angeles that officers fired bean bags at some protesters who threw objects at law enforcement.

In New York City, thousands of demonstrators marched from Union Square to the tourist-heavy Times Square Sunday night, slowing and in some cases halting traffic.

WNBC reported the area was gridlocked with people holding signs in support of Martin and calling Zimmerman’s acquittal a failure of the judicial system.

“This is a show of strength, but it’s also a show of solidarity with the (Martin) family because last night what happened was complete disrespect to them,” said Imani Henry, an activist with the People’s Power Assembly who had come for the protest in New York City’s Union Square Sunday afternoon. “We want to show love and respect to them.”

Some in the crowd said they were still in shock over the verdict.

“I’ve been speechless all night, I couldn’t sleep,” said Kelly Knight, a Brooklyn resident who came for the protest.  “I have a young daughter, and I thought, if it happened to him, it could happen to her,” she said.

Local churches across the country were also organizing rallies and urging supporters to wear hoodies in honor of Martin, who was wearing a black hoodie when Zimmerman shot him in the chest on Feb. 26, 2012. Zimmerman said he shot Martin in self-defense after the teen attacked him.

In Sanford, Fla., where the shooting took place, demonstrators continued to hold rallies well into Sunday evening. Along with expressing solidarity with Martin, many held signs calling for an end to Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law, which allows people fearing for their lives to use deadly force if they believe their lives are at risk.

In the Florida state capital of Tallahassee on Sunday, roughly 200 protesters, some wearing hoodies, sang songs of justice and carried signs that said "Racism is Not Dead."

After the verdict on Saturday night, in San Francisco about 200 people marched down Mission Street carrying yellow signs that said “the whole system is racist” and “the people say guilty,” NBCBayArea.com reported.

That march dispersed peacefully a little after 10 p.m. local time (1 a.m. ET), but a similar protest in downtown Oakland ended with numerous buildings and cars being vandalized and protesters setting random fires, NBCBayArea.com reported.

There were no reports of injuries or arrests, authorities said.

The verdict also sparked protests in Los Angeles, where police said about 200 demonstrators gathered Saturday in Leimert Park, the AP said.

The Sacramento Bee reported that protesters in the California capital chanted: "What do we want? Justice. When do you we want it? Now. For who? Trayvon."

Though expressions of outrage dominated Sunday’s rallies, many religious leaders used morning services to help begin the healing process following the contentious legal battle.

In New York City, Rev. Jacqueline Lewis wore a pink hoodie during Sunday morning services at Middle Collegiate Church.

She told her congregation to conduct themselves in the peaceful way Martin Luther King Jr. would have wanted and prayed for both Martin and Zimmerman.

“We’re going to pray, and we’re also going to continue to organize, which is what we do,” she told reporters before church services.

Though the most vocal showings since the verdict was read have been in support of Martin, others have used social media to stand up for Zimmerman following his acquittal. Facebook pages proclaiming support for him have thousands of “likes.”

On the NBC Nightly News Facebook page, one supporter reacted to the verdict, writing, “The justice system works. Zimmerman should never have been arrested.”

Christopher Darden Believes There May Be Justice Yet for Trayvon
Jul 14, 2013 8:35 PM EDT

O.J. Simpson’s prosecutor says he never would have brought the Trayvon case to court. Still, he argues, just putting George Zimmerman on trial was a victory.

“The struggle continues, our work isn’t over,” were the words of Melissa Harris-Perry an hour after the not-guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial. I agree. Work within the African-American community, work within the criminal-justice system and work on a national level to further the debate over racial profiling, civil rights and “stand-your-ground” laws must continue. The power of racial profiling and the power of the gun lobby is a lethal combination in America.

CNN COMMENTATOR EMBARRASSED BY ZIMMERMAN VERDICT

By Cliff Kincaid
July 15, 2013
NewsWithViews.com

After the not-guilty verdict was handed down, George Zimmerman attorney Mark O’Mara strongly criticized the media’s role in getting his client charged in the case. He compared the media to “mad scientists” who had turned Zimmerman into a “monster.” He said the media “took a story that was fed to you and you ran with it and you ran right over him and that was horrid to him.”

But the false story line—that Zimmerman was a racist who shot a black man for no reason—continued during the trial, especially in the reckless and wild CNN commentaries of Asunción “Sunny” Hostin.

Hostin boosted the prosecutors throughoutand wanted viewers to believe a guilty verdict was a slam-dunk. “I think that they [the prosecutors] put the pieces of the puzzle together for this jury extremely well,” she told Anderson Cooper on Thursday night, July 11.

What was astonishing about Hostin’s commentary during the trial was her inability to find much of anything wrong in how the prosecutors presented it. She was sometimes in the courtroom and pretending to pay attention to what was going on, with a focus on jury reactions. She claimed to have somehow divined what some of the jurors were thinking.

She said of the prosecution’s closing argument, “It was passionate. It was convincing. The jury was watching everything he was doing. And what was terrific, I think, about this closing argument is that they brought the focus back to Trayvon Martin, the victim here. They brought the commonsense argument to this jury.”

Fortunately, another CNN commentator, criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos, was usually on hand, takingstrong issue with what Hostin was saying. “There’s reality and then there’s Sunny-ville,” he said. Mocking her rosy view of the prosecution’s extremely weak case, he said, “So I’m going to start believing what Sunny tells me and I’m going to start ignoring everything that I watch on TV.”

Earlier, he told her, “Sunny, you have been bringing your own stuff to the table in this case and you know it.”

Whatever she was bringing to the table, it was not an objective analysis of what was taking place in front of her own eyes.Yet, she carried the title of “CNN Legal Analyst.”

An attorney, she calls herself a “multi-platform journalist” who serves as both a CNN legal analyst and anchor for ABC News. “Before joining CNN, Sunny could be seen on the Fox News Channel, where she was seen weekly on The O’Reilly Factor’s ‘Is It Legal?’ segment, sparring with Megan [sic] Kelly and Bill O’Reilly on various provocative issues and high-profile cases,” her bio says.

Regarding prosecutor John Guy’s rebuttal to the closing argument of defense attorney O’Mara, Hostin said on CNN, “John Guy hit it out of the park, he did great.”

She added, “If people were calling him ‘McDreamy’ before…they’re calling him ‘McBrilliant’ now. It was one of the best closing rebuttal arguments I have seen. The jury was riveted, they did not take their eyes off of this man. And what was so important about it, Anderson [Cooper],is that now I understand why the state was okay with having those six women on the jury, because he specifically just sort of homed-in on what every mother’s nightmare is—her child walking alone in the dark, in the rain being followed by a stranger and being afraid. That resonated with every single mother in the room and it was so effective. It was excellent.”

Geragos countered, “…you’ve got a school-girl crush on this guy?”

Now that the not-guilty verdict is in, CNN has an opportunity to evaluate their stable of commentators and analyze how misleading and inaccurate she really was.But Hostin wasn’t just wrong on how she thought the trial was going, she ignored certain facts that are known to the public in order to make the prosecution’s case against Zimmermanappear better than it was.

Hostin said, “How is it that a young boy, a teenager who was simply on a snack run, did not get back home where he was lawfully allowed to be safely? How is that? That is because George Zimmerman profiled him. He profiled him as a criminal. He made all these assumptions about Trayvon Martin that, by the way, were wrong. And he acted on those assumptions and in doing so, he killed him.”

Of course, much of this commentary is false. Martin was on drugs, as Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, suspected. And Martin had allegedly been involved in burglaries before, since a burglary tool and women’s jewelry had been found in his backpack. In addition, police found a burglary tool discarded in the bushes the night of the confrontation. The judge kept out of the trial the evidence of Martin’s involvement in fighting and violence.

What’s more, the overwhelmingevidence in the trial demonstrated that Martin confronted Zimmerman and threw the first punch, that Zimmerman cried for help, and fired his gun in self-defense.

Nevertheless, Hostinsaid the prosecutors made “such a wonderful commonsense argument that distilled what this case is about. This case is about whether or not someone who is not doing anything, who is acting completely unlawfully, should be able to be gunned down on a dark, rainy night. I think that really came across.”

At one point during their exchanges, before the jury deliberated the case, Geragos put his finger on it, saying,”…frankly Sunny, I guess the only way we will ever know, the only way we’ll ever know, when I will stand corrected and, you know, worship at your psychic…feats of wonder...is when we get a verdict.”

FBI records: agents found no evidence that Zimmerman was racist

After interviewing nearly three dozen people in the George Zimmerman murder case, the FBI found no evidence that racial bias was a motivating factor in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, records released Thursday show.

Even the lead detective in the case, Sanford Det. Chris Serino, told agents that he thought Zimmerman profiled Trayvon because of his attire and the circumstances — but not his race.

Serino saw Zimmerman as “having little hero complex, but not as a racist.”

The Duval County State Attorney released another collection of evidence in the Zimmerman murder case Thursday, including reports from FBI agents who investigated whether any racial bias was involved in Trayvon’s Feb. 26 killing.

The evidence includes bank surveillance videos from the day of the killing, crime scene photos and memos from prosecutors.

Among the documents is a note from the prosecutor who said one of the witnesses said her son, a minor, had felt pressured by investigators to say the injured man he saw was wearing a red top. The boy’s testimony had been considered key, because it backed up Zimmerman’s allegation that he — wearing red — was being pummeled.

Federal agents interviewed Zimmerman’s neighbors and co-workers, but none said Zimmerman had expressed racial animus at any time prior to the Feb. 26 shooting of Martin, a black teen, in a confrontation at a Sanford housing complex. As Sanford police investigated the circumstances of Martin’s death, the FBI opened a parallel probe to determine if Martin’s civil rights had been violated.

Several co-workers said they had never seen Zimmerman display any prejudice or racial bias.

Two co-workers told agents they spoke with Zimmerman the day after the shooting, and both said they noticed injuries to Zimmerman’s nose and the back of his head. One person said Zimmerman was “absolutely devastated.”

Zimmerman told both colleagues that he followed Martin — whom Zimmerman described as a “suspicious person” — so he could tell police where the teen went, but was then “jumped” by Martin. Zimmerman told both that Martin reached for Zimmerman’s gun before Zimmerman shot Martin.

In all, the FBI interviewed 35 people about Zimmerman, from current and former co-workers to neighbors and an ex-girlfriend.

Among the revelations found in nearly 300 pages of records:

• Zimmerman arrived at one of his police interviews with a friend who works as an air marshal. That friend told police Zimmerman was physically abused by his mother and had been estranged from his family.

• The day Zimmerman turned himself in to be charged with second-degree murder, authorities confiscated a handgun from his car.

• A gun dealer called police to say that some time in mid-March, Zimmerman called to say he was afraid for his life and “needed more guns.”

• An ex-girlfriend said Zimmerman had outbursts and sometimes threatened suicide. She suspected it was a result of Accutane, the acne medicine he took. She said he was the “last person in the world” she thought would be involved in such an incident.

• The ex girlfriend said she and Zimmerman had a violent argument when she caught him on a singles dating web site, even though they were engaged to be married.

• Trayvon’s cousin said he would swear “on a stack of bibles” that the person shouting in a 911 tape that recorded screams during the struggle was Trayvon.

Zimmerman, 28, claims Trayvon attacked him, breaking his nose and slamming his head on the concrete at the Retreat at Twin Lakes townhouse complex. Specially appointed prosecutors who investigated the case charged Zimmerman with second-degree murder, which carries a potential life sentence.

The state attorney’s office says Zimmerman wrongly assumed Trayvon was a criminal, and says he did not suffer injuries serious enough to require deadly force to defend himself.

The U.S. Department of Justice and FBI stepped in about a month after the killing, as protesters nationwide criticized the investigation. The original probe was conducted by police in Sanford, the central Florida community where Zimmerman lives and Trayvon was visiting while suspended from school.

Zimmerman Verdict Drew Millions to Cable TV

Despite breaking late on a weekend evening, the verdict in the murder trial of George Zimmerman attracted an audience of more than 10 million viewers to cable news networks, a huge total for a Saturday night.

Preliminary ratings showed that for the hour from 10 to 11 p.m. when the verdict came in, Fox News and CNN both attracted well over 3 million viewers, while MSNBC trailed badly with only about 1.3 million.

Fox had the highest number, 3.68 million viewers, just ahead of CNN with 3.4 million. But CNN outpaced Fox News among the viewers that television advertisers pay most to reach, those between the ages of 25 and 54. In that category, CNN had 1.72 million viewers to 1.11 million for Fox News. MSNBC had only 510,000.

MSNBC actually finished in fourth place over all, also coming in behind CNN’s sister network HLN, which is known for covering criminal trials. HLN had 2.2 million total viewers for third in that category and 980,000 in the 25-54 group, which also placed it third.

Justice Department faces evidence hurdles in proving Zimmerman bias after verdict

The Justice Department was running into immediate hurdles Monday in its investigation of possible civil rights violations by George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin -- namely, that after examining the case for more than a year, the evidence has not changed.

Though the department announced after Zimmerman's acquittal that it would consider a possible federal case, previously filed FBI documents show agents have not turned up any accounts that Zimmerman, before the February 2012 shooting, exhibited racial bias. Sanford police detective Chris Serino also told FBI agents last year that he considered Zimmerman as having "a little hero complex, but not as a racist."

Attorney General Eric Holder, in his first post-verdict comments, confirmed Monday during a speech in Washington, D.C., that his department continues to investigate while signaling concern for the position of the Martin family and those -- such as the NAACP -- pressuring the DOJ. He said the department is "mindful of the pain felt by our nation" over the "tragic, unnecessary shooting death" of Martin.

"The Justice Department shares your concern -- I share your concern," Holder said.

He added that the shooting provides an opportunity to speak "honestly" about the charged issues involved in the case, and that "we must not ... let this opportunity pass." Holder even appeared to suggest the possibility of bias in this case, saying it's important to address "underlying attitudes, mistaken beliefs and stereotypes that serve as the basis for these too common incidents."

Still, the attorney general said his department would act in a "manner that is consistent with the facts and the law."

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney indicated that President Obama would keep his distance from the consideration, adding that the merits of the case will be "evaluated by the professionals at the Department of Justice."

But Florida defense attorney Brian Tannebaum told FoxNews.com that the "number one challenge" for DOJ is the evidence, or lack thereof.

"There's been an acquittal. The evidence has not changed. It's not like the feds are going to go in and find more evidence," he said.

Tannebaum said he understands the Justice Department was responding to intense public sentiment, but "I don't foresee it becoming a federal case."

The question of racial bias is key because if the Justice Department were to pursue a federal case against Zimmerman, federal hate-crimes law is one of the few tools the department would have.

The statute itself bars "willfully" causing injury to someone else "because of the actual or perceived race, color, religion, or national origin of any person."

The department has used federal civil rights law before to pursue defendants who had been acquitted at the state level. But in what is perhaps the most famous such case -- the Rodney King beating -- the circumstances were different.

First, there was a highly publicized video of the King beating. No such video of the Martin shooting is known to exist.

Second, the two officers ultimately convicted on federal charges in that case were charged with using or permitting unreasonable force under "color of law" -- this applies only to law enforcement.

The separate federal hate-crimes law applies to both law enforcement and civilians. But it's not clear how the Justice Department could prove racial bias.

Serino, the Sanford detective, told FBI agents last year that after examining the case, it appeared Zimmerman was suspicious of Martin because of his "attire, the total circumstances of the encounter and the previous burglary suspects in the community."

Serino told the FBI that there had been several burglaries in the area, and that gang members in the community "typically dressed in black and wore hoodies."

"When Zimmerman saw Martin in a hoody, Zimmerman took it upon himself to view Martin as acting suspicious," Serino said, while describing Zimmerman as "overzealous." The FBI document was posted on the Smoking Gun website.

McClatchy also has reported on another set of documents that show FBI agents interviewed a dozens of people in the course of probing possible racial bias but nobody would say Zimmerman showed such bias before the shooting.

Still, the Justice Department agreed to requests from NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous and several lawmakers to keep investigating the defendant.

"The Department of Justice's Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division, the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation continue to evaluate the evidence generated during the federal investigation, as well as the evidence and testimony from the state trial," the Justice Department said in a statement Sunday.  "Experienced federal prosecutors will [now] determine whether the evidence reveals a prosecutable violation of any of the limited federal criminal civil rights statutes within our jurisdiction, and whether federal prosecution is appropriate in accordance with the Department's policy governing successive federal prosecution following a state trial."

The department may find itself in a vulnerable spot, not only because of prior interviews which found no evidence of bias.

Last week, a conservative watchdog accused an obscure agency within the DOJ of helping support the "pressure campaign" against Zimmerman in the wake of the shooting last year. Judicial Watch claimed documents and public accounts showed "extraordinary intervention" by the department in the campaign that eventually led to Zimmerman's prosecution.

The department, however, claims that it dispatched agency representatives to reduce tensions in the community - not to take sides.

The department is under heavy pressure from some groups to pursue the case further.

Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., and other House Democrats called a press conference on Monday to urge the Justice Department to "conduct an immediate and thorough investigation."

The NAACP started the drive to pressure the DOJ to continue its probe by posting a petition Sunday morning on the website MoveOn.org.

"The most fundamental of civil rights -- the right to life -- was violated the night George Zimmerman stalked and then took the life of Trayvon Martin," the group wrote.

Attorney General Eric Holder plans to speak at the NAACP convention on Tuesday.

Quote
"The Justice Department shares your concern -- I share your concern," Holder said.

Yeah, and they showed it by sending in DOJ teams to stir up the protesters, and to even advise them on protesting!

Notice Holder, Director of the Justice Department, the top lawyers in the US, used the word "unnecessary" after an acquittal. That's inflammatory in itself!

Bunch of dirtbags!

Witness claims youths yelled 'this is for Trayvon' in beating
Police still investigating claim in beating of Hispanic man

Good job Sharpton!! Is this the race war you wanted?

Baltimore police say they are investigating a witness account that a group of black youths beat a Hispanic man near Patterson Park Sunday while saying, "This is for Trayvon."

A witness posted the account on a community Facebook page, and police confirmed they are looking into whether the suspects' reaction to the verdict in the Florida trial of George Zimmerman played a part in the incident. A police report on the beating does not mention the alleged comments.

Sgt. Eric Kowalczyk, a police spokesman, declined to go into further detail.

Juror: 'No doubt' that George Zimmerman feared for his life

One of the jurors who acquitted George Zimmerman said she had "no doubt" he feared for his life in the final moments of his struggle with Trayvon Martin, and that was the definitive factor in the verdict.

The woman, who was identified just as Juror B37, spoke exclusively to CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" on Monday night. She is the first juror to speak publicly about the case.

She said she believes Zimmerman's "heart was in the right place" the night he shot Martin, but that he didn't use "good judgment" in confronting the Florida teen.

"I think George Zimmerman is a man whose heart was in the right place, but just got displaced by the vandalism in the neighborhoods, and wanting to catch these people so badly that he went above and beyond what he really should have done," she said.

"But I think his heart was in the right place. It just went terribly wrong."

If anything, Zimmerman was guilty of not using "good judgment," the juror said.

"When he was in the car, and he had called 911, he shouldn't have gotten out of that car," she said.

She also said she believes Martin threw the first punch in the confrontation that followed.

"I think George got in a little bit too deep, which he shouldn't have been there. But Trayvon decided that he wasn't going to let him scare him ... and I think Trayvon got mad and attacked him," she said.

Zimmerman felt his life was in danger before shooting Martin, and it was his voice that was heard screaming for help in 911 calls, the juror said she believes.

"He had a right to defend himself," she said. "If he felt threatened that his life was going to be taken away from him, or he was going to have bodily harm, he had a right."

Split vote

An initial vote was divided. Three of the jurors first voted Zimmerman was guilty, while three voted he was not guilty, she said. Juror B37 was among those who believed he was not guilty from the start.

"There was a couple of them in there that wanted to find him guilty of something and after hours and hours and hours of deliberating over the law, and reading it over and over and over again, we decided there's just no way, other place to go," she said.

Jurors were not identified by name during the trial, which sparked a broad debate about gun laws and race in America.

The juror said she did not believe Zimmerman profiled Martin, who was African-American, because of the color of his skin.

She believes he thought Martin was suspicious because of the way he acted.

"Anybody would think anybody walking down the road, stopping and turning and looking -- if that's exactly what happened -- is suspicious," she said.

"I think all of us thought race did not play a role," the juror said . "We never had that discussion."

At one point during the interview, she grew emotional and her voice cracked. She said jurors cried after putting in their vote.

"It's a tragedy this happened. But it happened," the juror said.

"And I think both were responsible for the situation they had gotten themselves into. I think both of them could have walked away. It just didn't happen."

Book plans canceled

The juror was planning to write a book about her experience with the case, literary agent Sharlene Martin said before her interview aired.

But hours later, the agent released a statement from Juror B37 saying she would no longer write one.

"Now that I am returned to my family and to society in general, I have realized that the best direction for me to go is away from writing any sort of book and return instead to my life as it was before I was called to sit on this jury," the juror said.

"I realize it was necessary for our jury to be sequestered in order to protest our verdict from unfair outside influence, but that isolation shielded me from the depth of pain that exists among the general public over every aspect of this case."

Verdict debate doesn't end debate in Martin's death

Mat 24:3  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Mat 24:4  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Zimmerman Acquittal in Trayvon Martin Case Sparks Pulpit Protests, Pleas for Personal Repentance

Pastors across the country passionately expressed their opinion over the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the 2012 death of Trayvon Martin on Sunday, with some taking to the pulpit in outrage and others calling for national and personal repentance.

Zimmerman was found not guilty on Saturday of second-degree murder in a case that has gripped the attention of the nation and has raised questions as to whether Martin was the victim of racial profiling or whether Zimmerman lawfully acted in self-defense. Zimmerman, a 29-year-old Hispanic, shot and killed Martin, a 17-year-old African American, in February of last year during a tussle in a suburb outside of Orlando.

“I think the prosecution of George Zimmerman was disgraceful,” defense attorney Don West told reporters after leaving the courtroom Saturday. “As happy as I am for George Zimmerman, I’m thrilled that this jury kept this tragedy from becoming a travesty.”

However, prosecutors asserted that Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch leader, acted as a “wannabe cop” in that he allegedly took it upon himself to address problems with crime in the community.

“I think that gun in his mind empowered him to approach [Martin] because what he was trying to do was detain Trayvon Martin so he wouldn’t get away because all the prior guys had gotten away,” contended lead prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda. “He was acting like a cop when he didn’t have the power.”

Following the verdict Saturday night, a number of pastors across the nation addressed the topic with their congregations, some of whom even wore hoodies in support of Martin.

“I knew I would be wearing my hoodie while preaching,” Pastor Tony Lee of Community of Hope Church near the nation’s capital told the Huffington Post, “and I wrote to all the pastoral staff that hoodies are welcome.”

“You see people of all walks of life wearing hoodies, so this is a sign of solidarity, we’re standing with the Martin family, we’re standing with the community,†said Bishop Victor Couzens of Inspirational Baptist Church in Forest Park, Ohio, according to WLWT-TV. “We will not be violent, [but] we will not be silent either. At the end of the day, we are Christians and we are compelled to love. We are called to love, but we are also called to action as well.â€

Michael Jordan of New Era Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama even posted a message on the church sign that reads, “George Zimmerman jury supported white racism.”

However, Pastor Victor Montalvo of Reality Community Church in Sanford, Florida–where the trial took place–seemed to take a more neutral approach to the verdict.

“Did the jury make the right call? I just don’t know,” he wrote in an article entitled The Verdict is In … And We all Lost. “We will never know. We can’t really know, and that is terribly unsettling.”

“The news, the talking heads, the activists, they just wanted a monster. They wanted someone to blame, someone to hate,” Montalvo continued. “They tried to paint George Zimmerman as a hotheaded, racist, wannabe vigilante. If that wasn’t sticking, they tried painting Trayvon Martin as a reckless, drug-using thug looking for trouble. Both were horribly wrong, but more people watched, and more people seethed.”

He stated that instead of looking to point fingers, Americans should deal with the sin in their own hearts.

“[W]e must also pray for ourselves, that we would recognize the cause of the pain of this world and deal with the sin of our hearts that so deeply distorts everything it encounters,” Montalvo said.

“We can look to Christ who took upon Himself our sin and pain,” he concluded. “This world is pretty messed up, but we have a Savior that catches every tear, comforts every loss, crushes every sin and makes all things brand new.”

At the risk of being sucked into Obama’s vortex of Saul-Alinsky-Rules-for-Radicals-goal-of-stirring-up-racial-conflict-and-class-warfare, (“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon, The (white) police acted stupidly”), I must point out what the Mainstream Media won’t – Blacks kill Whites, a lot, and over 70 Blacks were shot by Blacks over the 4th of July weekend in Chicago. Did they look like Obama’s sons?

Why wasn’t this Knoxville story, “4 blacks kill white couple” on the TV network news for months? How does the media decide which murders to sensationalize?

James Patrick Riley says, “… If there is any racism in the system, it is skewed so far in the favor of blacks, that, frankly, it should be an embarrassment for those in the “race industry.” FBI crime stats show that when there is a black/white incidence of violence, in 88 to 91% of the cases, the victim is white. Just last week, in St. Louis three black men were arrested on a “kill whitey” crime spree. Was Rachel Maddow wringing her hands over that? No. As to the case in question, I’d have to look, but I would defend anyone who was forced to defend themselves — even a gung ho neighborhood watch guy who was getting his head slammed on the cement.”

Here’s one of the racially motivated “hate crimes” the Mainstream Media refuses to report, let alone turn into a 6 month story;

“Channon Gail Christian, 21, and Hugh Christopher Newsom, Jr., 23, were a couple from Knoxville, Tennessee. They were raped, tortured, and murdered after being kidnapped early on the morning of January 7, 2007. Christian’s vehicle had been carjacked. Five suspects were arrested and charged in the case. The grand jury indicted four of the suspects on counts of capital murder, robbery, kidnapping, ****, and theft, while a fifth was indicted at the federal level. Of the four charged at the state level, three (Letalvis D. Cobbins, Lemaricus Davidson, and George Thomas) had multiple prior felony convictions. After a jury trial, Lemaricus Davidson was sentenced to death by lethal injection and Letalvis Cobbins and George Thomas were sentenced to life in prison, Cobbins without the possibility of parole and Thomas with the possibility. Vanessa Coleman has been convicted of facilitating the crimes and sentenced to 53 years in prison, and Eric Dewayne Boyd has been convicted of federal charges as accessory after the fact to carjacking and sentenced to 18 years in prison…”

“Christian and Newsom were leaving an apartment together to go to a friend’s party when they were abducted from the apartment complex parking lot. Christian’s parents found her abandoned Toyota 4-Runner two blocks away from the Chipman Street house the following Monday with the help of her mobile phone provider. An envelope recovered from the vehicle yielded fingerprint evidence that led police to Lemaricus Davidson and 2316 Chipman Street. When police went to the address on Tuesday, January 9, they found the house unoccupied and Christian’s body in a bin in the kitchen.

According to the testimony of the Knox County Acting Medical Examiner Dr. Darinka Mileusnic-Polchan at the subsequent trial of Eric Boyd, Newsom was repeatedly sodomized with an object and then blindfolded, gagged, arms and feet bound and his head covered. Barefoot, he was dragged outside the house to a set of nearby railroad tracks. He was sexually mutilated, shot in the back of his head, neck and back and his body was then set on fire.

According to the testimony of the medical examiner, Channon’s death came after hours of torture, having suffered injuries to her ****, anus and mouth. She was raped with an unidentified object and beaten in the head. It was also reported that her body was scrubbed with bleach which was also poured down her throat, in an attempt by her attackers to remove DNA evidence, while Channon was still alive. She was then bound with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered with a bin liner and her body stashed within five large bin bags, before being placed inside a residential waste disposal unit and covered with sheets. The medical examiner said there was evidence that Channon slowly suffocated to death. (Wikipedia)

“Five Cases of Black on White Crime People Want on National TV.” Story here.

There were no cars overturned, no spray-painted police cars, no crashed-in store windows, no fires, and no angry mobs when these white people were killed by black people.

Some Thoughts on the Zimmerman Trial

The George Zimmerman Trial became one of the biggest trials in U. S. History so far, and I say "so far" because at this rate there might be many more of these spectacles.  In light of all the murder and mayhem across the country and world, this one should not have been rated so important, which is why I say it "became" big.  A first thought is one you've already heard with which I agree, that is, this non-crime shouldn't have gone to trial in the first place.  There was no evidence of either second degree murder or manslaughter.  There was only evidence of self-defense.  It only went trial because of race baiting opportunists, who exploited this tragedy for personal or political gain.  This country is already in steep decline, but if we continue to allow this type of circumstance to continue, we'll slide even faster to total demise.

It's got to be really tough to lose a child like the Martin's did, no matter what their personal condition, and I thought about being in their shoes.  I have one son.  If I were in their shoes, I know how I would react to it.  If it were reverse, and Zimmerman was black and my son was the one who died, I'm saying I know how I would be.  First, I would understand that I had totally blown it as a parent.  I would have seen it as mainly my fault.  I would have seen it as my fault that I had a child that was just allowed to run in a way that he was far too unaccountable.  I would have seen it as my fault that I didn't even know where my child was at.  I would know that I did not bring him up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord for whatever reason.  The parents weren't together and perhaps it would be because of the condition of my marriage.  There were many bad decisions these parents made that resulted in their child's death.  I would have already seen myself as largely at fault for that.

At this point, the country has seen the pictures of Trayvon proudly puffing on the marijuana and posing in all sorts of rebellious ways.  We know about his filthy mouth.  We know about the kind of people with whom he kept company.  All of those were a recipe for disaster.  I know that not doing enough about those or not doing anything about them would have been enough for me to understand why this happened to my son.  I would know that.  I would understand that.  I would blame that on no one else.  I would be sad, but I would point the finger straight at myself for that.  Sure, I would wish that Zimmerman had done better at the gym in getting in shape and learning out to defend himself that he didn't need a gun, but I would completely understand his use of the gun.  People can carry a handgun.  You know that in Florida.  If you know that, then you stay out of the kind of trouble that could get you shot.

Second, I would accept why my son died.  I wouldn't like it, but I could accept it.  You can't get away with all foolish behavior.  All of us get away with a certain amount in our lives, where we could have or even should have been killed.  Our lives could have ended suddenly.  The more of that type of behavior, the greater the opportunity to have our lives terminate sooner than what we would like.  We have a responsibility to train our children in that.  Eli didn't warn his sons Hophni and Phinehas enough, so they both died, and he knew it was because of him.  This was a case when the wrong decisions resulted in his death.  Really one different decision out of several different decisions that night could have been enough for him to still be living.  I would have wished for a different outcome, like I have wished for a different outcome when I'm caught speeding, but I know I deserve it, so I accept it.  I'm hoping for mercy, but I understand when I don't get it.  I could hope for mercy for my son, but I would understand why that didn't happen.  We don't deserve mercy.  If you can't learn to walk away from certain situations, or just run away from someone you are twice as fast as, then you are going to get in trouble.

What I'm saying is that if my son died that way, and at the hands of a black Zimmerman, I would believe my son deserved it.  I wish he didn't have to pay such a price for a few bad decisions, but I would have understood why he died.  I wouldn't feel bitter about Zimmerman.  I wouldn't expect the justice system to do anything.  I would fully conceive of why it shouldn't and wouldn't go to trial.  I would not try to force the justice system to give me a trial.  It would be very apparent why the event transpired.

Trayvon Martin didn't die because he was walking through a neighborhood at night in the rain.  He didn't die because he bought Skittles and an Arizona ice tea.  He didn't get killed because he was black.  He didn't lose his life when he didn't do anything wrong or when he was just going about his own business.  He didn't pass away because of his hoodie.  Every single one of those could have happened and he still easily would have made it back to his dad's house safe and sound with no possibility of dying that night.  This was not a complicated case.  Anyone that had just certain basics of the case knows that everything I'm saying is true.  I believe the main race baiters of the left know this to be true.  They are either lying or they are of such destitute minds that they are able to convince themselves that their lies are true.

If someone were taught just basic civilized human behavior, he would have known how to have survived that night in that neighborhood with George Zimmerman.  One, learn how not to look suspicious.  You look suspicious when you take a shortcut through a neighborhood in the dark in the rain with a hoodie covering your face and talking on a cell phone.  That's just common sense.  If you don't think so, then get some common sense. Get.  Some.  Maybe you don't have that ability.  Your average lifespan is probably going to be shorter then.  Don't be surprised at an early demise.  You say, "He was just a kid."  True, which is why he shouldn't have been out at all after dark until he was taught some common sense.  If the parent doesn't have common sense, then it's easy to understand how the child doesn't have it.  This has nothing to do with being black, white, Asian, or Hispanic.  Common sense is, well, common.

I know what it's like to be young, athletic, fast, and scared.  When I felt that way, I ran.  If there was a potential threat, I ran.  I ran until I was in a safe place.  I remember running through a dark woods on my walk home after late away sporting activities.  We lived near the school, and I walked across a field, a woods, a railroad track, and then to home.  I often ran when I got to the woods and there wasn't even moonlight.  When you are scared, you run.  If I looked at a Zimmerman looking guy, and I wasn't sure about him, I would run home.   I would train my kids not to have been there in the first place, but at that point, they would have known that it was time to run.  Run home.  If you are really scared, use the cell phone and call 911.  Why aren't we hearing this type of instruction coming from the folks related to Trayvon?  It might be your right to walk through the neighborhood, but that doesn't mean that there aren't dangerous people around.  Don't risk it.  Run.  Trayvon Martin was so much faster than George Zimmerman, and as the evidence showed, he didn't need to get close to him.  How could he have ever gotten close enough to Zimmerman to break Zimmerman's nose and cut and bruise the back of his head, and put abrasions on every side of his head, if he was trying to avoid Zimmerman before he got shot?

The prosecutor started his closing argument with, "He didn't do anything wrong!"  I understand he was trying to win the case by saying something other people have also now said.  You shouldn't be able to win a jury, and I don't think you do, by lying and insulting its intelligence.  Of course Martin did something wrong.  He punched Zimmerman in the nose.  That should have never happened if Trayvon Martin was minding his own business, was afraid, and just wanted to get home.  Please.  Don't insult our intelligence with that.  Others have said, the injuries on Zimmerman weren't that bad.  Right.  He had a broken nose, lacerations on the back of his head, abrasions all over his head, and Martin had no injuries before the gunshot wound.  Using only a little available intelligence tells you that the injuries to Zimmerman could have been worse had Martin lived in order to keep going.  When you are taking a beating, and the beating stops because you shot your assailant, you can't say how bad the beating would have been.  What degree and length of beating are you required to take before you stop it with your gun?  Do you have to go unconscious?  At the moment it is happening, do you really think that Zimmerman can judge what is the correct amount of assault to endure before he stops it with his gun?

You don't carry a handgun for self-defense only in case someone else has a handgun, so you can win a gun fight.  You carry a handgun too in case you could get mugged or beat up by a more skilled or stronger or more athletic fighter.  In those cases, you shoot an unarmed man.  Landing a fist in your face and slamming your head on the ground is a physical threat.  It is a reason someone carries a handgun.  If I'm walking in New York City at night, and I am confronted by someone, who throws me against the wall, punches me, knocks me to the ground, and then starts slamming my head against the ground, and I have a gun, what do you think I should do?  Really.

If someone took the best case scenario for Trayvon Martin, there still wasn't evidence of a murder.  The best case for Martin would be that we don't know who was screaming on the 911 tape, we don't know who started the fight, that Zimmerman was in fact following him, and that Zimmerman had "profiled" him.  The problem with his best case scenario is that there is much better evidence that it was Zimmerman who was screaming, that Martin punched Zimmerman first in the nose, that Zimmerman wasn't following him in the manner that the prosecution tried to persuade the jury, and that there wasn't anything illegal for a private citizen to profile someone.  Who is a neighborhood watchman supposed to be watching for?  This goes back to common sense.  He watches for suspicious people.  If he sees anyone, and I mean anyone, he thinks is suspicious, he has now profiled someone.  Everyone profiles other people all the time.  If you hire someone, you've profiled that person.  If you don't hire someone, he's been profiled too.

I feel very little sympathy for George Zimmerman.  If I had a son, he wouldn't look like George Zimmerman, is what I'm saying.  I'm not even utilizing any kind of unique Christian experience or leadership or wisdom that I might have with this.  What I'm writing here relates to basic common sense.  Is that missing much more because of a lack of true conversions in the United States?  Absolutely.  But it doesn't take supernatural discernment to come to the same conclusions that I'm stating here.

Some said that they thought it was at least manslaughter, if not second degree murder.  Anyone who says that doesn't know what he's talking about. Stephen Curry, the guard for the Golden State Warriors, tweeted that.  He said he watched it closely and thought at least manslaughter.  Watching it closely doesn't explain a manslaughter possibility.  It wasn't easier in this case to get a manslaughter charge than a second degree murder charge.  The defense for both was self-defense.  If you decide it was self-defense, neither of those charges would stick.  Saying it was manslaughter doesn't understand manslaughter.  The only reason for manslaughter here would be if the jury wanted Zimmerman to be punished in some way because Martin was killed.  I think that's where most people are today who want Zimmerman in jail.  It's not justice they want.  They want revenge.  When they say there wasn't justice, they don't understand justice or a just system.  In our system, to be guilty, that guilt must be proven beyond reasonable doubt.  For those who question this jury, they wanted the jury to come back with a verdict based upon a low degree of probability.  The idea is that if it was even possible that Zimmerman was guilty, then he should be punished, and that's what a manslaughter charge should be for.  The existence of manslaughter was in case that the prosecution could convince the jury purely on emotional grounds.  If there was no proof for second degree they could split the difference with a manslaughter.  In this case, the jury followed the law, which disappointed people who have little respect for the law.

Some are saying that the reason for the injustice here is because it was 5 white women and 1 Hispanic woman.  Those people are not racists, right?  They aren't sexists either, right?  When the experts said the prosecution was trying to sway the jury with emotion because they were six women, where was the outcry?  That's discriminatory, right?  Women aren't more emotional then men, or at least you can't say that, or you're sexist, I've been told.

Al Sharpton said they always had "plan B," if this didn't work.  Plan B is a federal civil rights suit brought against Zimmerman.  You get your trial, but you don't get your guilty verdict, and so you have another alternative.  Al Sharpton is twisted.  He's got some kind of outlook or attitude that disallows him from seeing  the world accurately.  Zimmerman never even mentioned whether Trayvon Martin was black, until he was asked whether the suspicious person was black, white, or hispanic, and he said he thought he was black.  If it's illegal for a citizen to profile, then why is that racial question asked?  Isn't everyone profiled then when there is a question about race on even government applications?

You reader might think this is insensitive to black people, that black people are far less likely to get justice and this Zimmerman trial only reinforces that conception.  Everyone -- red or yellow, black or white -- needs to know what and why this happened.  The instinct to blame these situations on others is against what is necessary to prevent more unnecessary deaths.

This country should not put up with the riots and the misbehavior stemming from this jury decision.  All criminal reaction should be dealt with according to the full force of the law.  No one should be excused.  If our country does not, it's only going to get worse.  Finally, the solution always comes back to the true gospel.  The only answer for America is a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

this is just weird. The Florida Stand your Ground Law wasnt even used in the trial. This is part of the NWO Agenda here.

Stevie Wonder Boycotting Florida Following Zimmerman Verdict (Video)

In the wake of the George Zimmerman acquittal, the singer said he would not be performing in the Sunshine State until its Stand Your Ground law is "abolished." He also said he would not be performing in any other state that recognizes the law, which some say contributed to Zimmerman's acquittal in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26, 2012.

"I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again," Wonder said Sunday while performing in Quebec City. "As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world."

Despite the acquittal - not only was the judge in this trial a Jeb Bush appointee, but Zimmerman's lawyers had ties to this judge(ie-they gave campaign contributions to her).

No wonder why Zimmerman's attorneys didn't even speak up on this - they were all on the same team to begin with(not just Obama and Holder spearheading this by themselves).

Ultimately, Zimmerman's reputation has been tarnished.

oohh, it was a hate crime against homosexuals!!!

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: An entirely new perspective on this whole sordid incident was provided by Rachel Jeantel last night on CNN.  Everybody's been under the impression that Zimmerman was a racist, and that's why he went after Trayvon.  I went to great lengths yesterday, folks, to break this down and tell you what I think this was really all about. I'm not gonna repeat that but it is at RushLimbaugh.com.  Essentially, it was about economics.

You've got a bunch of people in this community that are barely hanging on.  They've worked very hard to get where they are and there are all kinds of robberies and things, and they're just tired of being stolen from, and they've got a Neighborhood Watch and so forth. It's about the Obama economy.  But the media and everybody has been saying since this happened, "Zimmerman's a white racist!"

You know as well as I do they've been doing everything they can to portray this as Zimmerman chasing a guy because he was black.  Well, Zimmerman's the guy that got beaten up in this.  Everybody forgets that.  Zimmerman is the guy who got beat up.  Now we know why, from a witness for the prosecution who was on CNN last night, Rachel Jeantel.  Race wasn't even a factor.  When she was asked to define "creepy ass cracka," and "n-i-g-g-a," it wasn't racial.

Not one definition she gave for any of these terms being used had to do with race.

"Creepy ass cracka"?

That's "a police."

"N-i-g-g-a"?

That's "a male."

You gotta say n-i-g-g-e-r to make it racist.  There wasn't any race.  The jury didn't deliberate race.  The race aspect was totally manufactured by the media.  So listen to Rachel Jeantel's answer to Piers Morgan.  The question, "But you felt that there was no doubt in your mind from what Trayvon was telling you on the phone about the 'creepy ass cracka' and so on, that he absolutely believed that George Zimmerman, this man -- you didn't know who he was at the time, but this man -- was pursuing him?  And he was freaked out by it?"

So Piers Morgan is asking Rachel Jeantel, "Why was Trayvon Martin 'freaked out'?"  Now, everybody has been led to believe that Trayvon was freaked out because some white guy was chasing him, but let's be honest.  Zimmerman's not a white guy!  It was raining. It's nighttime. He's of dark complexion. He's an Hispanic.  This "white Hispanic" is a media creation.  There wasn't any racial component here, folks.  This is what's crucially important.

The racial component is a pure media fabrication because of the existence of their narrative that this nation is still, essentially, a slave state.  But Trayvon Martin wasn't thinking about race, and we know this because Rachel Jeantel talked to him.  So, again, Piers Morgan's question: "But you felt that there was no doubt in your mind from what Trayvon was telling you on the phone about the 'creepy ass cracka' and so on, that he absolutely believed that George Zimmerman, this man -- you didn't know who he was at the time, but this man -- was pursuing him?  And he was freaked out by it?"

Why was he freaked out by it, Rachel?

JEANTEL:  Yes.  Definitely. After I say, "Might be a rapist."  For every boys or every man, every who's not that kinda way, see a grown man following them, would they be creep out?  So you gotta take as a parent. You tell a child, "You see a grown person follow it you, run away," and all that.

Folks, there's no race in there.

There's no inference.

You can't infer race from what she said.  There's certainly no racial implication that she made.  Well, here's what she said, "Definitely. After I say" to him... She's reporting and recounting her telephone call. (paraphrased) "Definitely. After I say to Trayvon, 'Zimmerman might be a rapist!'" I'm translating for you. "Zimmerman might be a rapist.  That makes him gay." He's a guy, folks. Male rapist. Rachel is telling Martin... This guy's chasing him. He doesn't know why he's chasing him.

Rachel, says, "He may be a rapist, Trayvon," and then she said, "For every boys or every man, every who's not that kinda way," that means who's not gay, "you see a grown man following 'em, you be creep out."  So she was saying, Trayvon is straight; he's got this adult male chasing him. She's put the idea out that this adult male might be a rapist, and Trayvon "be creep out" by being chased by a gay guy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZlMg3tgQ7M&feature=player_embedded

And then she went further. "So you gotta take as a parent. You tell a child, 'You see a grown person following you, run away,' and all that."

Grown person.

Not racial.  Not "white person."  "Grown person."  You, as a kid, "You see a grown person following you," as a parent, you tell your child, "run away."  Then she also said, "And people need to understand, he didn't want that creepy ass cracker going to his father or girlfriend's house to go get -- mind you, his little brother was there." You need me to translate that?  Okay.  She has put in Trayvon's mind that Zimmerman is gay.  Zimmerman might be a rapist, and a predator.

What are we to think?  "Grown man." When she says Trayvon's a male, Zimmerman's a male, and she says rapist, what are we talking about here?  We're talking about a gay predator.  She has put the idea in Trayvon Martin's head that this might be a gay predator chasing him.  Then she said on Piers Morgan last night, "And people need to understand, he didn’t want that creepy ass cracker going to his father or girlfriend’s house to go get..."

Trayvon's staying at his father's girlfriend's house, and she is saying people need to understand Trayvon didn't want Zimmerman, that potential rapist, "that creepy ass cracker going to his father or girlfriend’s house to go get," and then she paused, and said, "[M]ind you, his little brother was there." So she was saying that Trayvon wouldn't want this gay predator chasing him down to his house where there is a little kid inside.  Nowhere in any of this is race mentioned.

Jeantel also said this about Zimmerman being a rapist on the witness stand, under oath.  It wasn't just last night with Piers Morgan on CNN.  She also alluded to this.  So, folks, do you understand? We have been, the country has been entirely fooled.  (The jury wasn't, by the way.)  There was no racial component in this at all.  Rachel Jeantel didn't talk about race.  She wasn't talking about race at all.  She wasn't worried. She didn't tell Trayvon to run away from a white guy.  "Creepy ass cracka" is police.

So maybe, in their minds, Zimmerman is a gay male predator hiding behind a badge, which gives him access to little boys. I mean, this is the way certain people think, and we already know that she believed that Zimmerman was a rapist, or potential rapist, and put that thought in Trayvon's head, and Trayvon didn't run away.  He turned around and started beating up on Zimmerman.  Not because Zimmerman was "a white Hispanic." He didn't even know what he was!

I mean, it's dark and rainy. Zimmerman's of dark-complexion, too.  The race angle in this has been absurd from the get-go.  So essentially Rachel was saying... When she says,  "And people need to understand, he didn't want that creepy ass cracker going to his father or girlfriend’s house to go get -- mind you, his little brother was there," she is saying that this guy, this rapist, after finishing with Trayvon, might then go after his little brother.

She told Trayvon to run, run, run.

I thought, when I heard this last night, that that's all anybody'd be talking about today, because this throws this thing 180 degrees out of phase.  So now Trayvon Martin, who is the recipient of full-fledged, 100% victim status? It turns out could well be a gay basher, and the left has been defending him.  So what do they do?  They have two interest groups here that they represent and champion: African-Americans and homosexuals, and in this incident, the object of their affection (in this case, Trayvon Martin), might have thought he was being pursued by a gay guy and beat him up, or tried to.

I figured they'd be very conflicted today.

But that hasn't come up anywhere.

Now I think I understand why.  It's precisely because nobody wants to get near it.  Nobody wants to get anywhere near this.  Those words of Rachel's are gone, into the ether, never to be remembered until the EIB Network kicked off at noon.  Now, one sound bite here before we go to the Obscene Profit Break.  This morning on CNN's Newsroom, the anchorette, Carol Costello, is speaking with criminal defense attorney Mark NeJame about Martin's friend Rachel Jeantel's appearance on Piers Morgan Live.

This is one of the well-educated, pseudo-intellectual analysts that CNN offered today talking about how wonderful Jeantel is, and they were just filled with sadness that she had not appeared this way on the stand.  So Carol Costello said to Mark NeJame, "If the jurors had seen the Rachel Jeantel that was on Piers Morgan last night," explaining the definition of "cracka," explaining the definition of "n-i-g-g-a," the "creepy ass cracka," and all that. "If the jurors had seen the Rachel Jeantel that was on Piers Morgan last night, instead of the Rachel Jeantel at trial, could it have made a difference?"

NEJAME: It coulda made a difference.  This is just another failure on behalf of the state to properly represent Trayvon Martin.  That woman last night was a sweet, funny, engaging person.  That's anything but what people saw when she took the stand.  People need to understand that we do have a cultural divide, and in fact what the jurors saw, uh, when she appeared on the stand was because of her, in my opinion, her lack of preparedness by the state attorney who prosecuted this case!  That woman last night, if she had been on the stand, and the juror (sic) would have seen that, they would have come away with a completely different impression, in my opinion, about who Trayvon really was.

RUSH:  Yeah?

I'm gonna tell you something, Mark.

If you had really been listening to what Rachel Jeantel said on Piers Morgan, you would be reexamining the entire way you're looking at this event.

END TRANSCRIPT

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Church Sign Generates Emotional Debate Over Race After Zimmerman Verdict

A sign posted outside a south suburban church is generating a powerful debate over race in the wake of the George Zimmerman verdict.

The marquee outside the First Baptist Church of University Park earlier this week read: “It Is Safe To Kill Black People In Amerikkka.”

On Saturday, a jury of six women in Florida acquitted Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Several comments on the church’s Facebook page took issue with the reference to the Ku Klux Klan in the word Amerikkka, with many saying the church’s sign is hateful and divisive and implies that all white Americans are racist.

The church responded by saying: “The message on the sign is not a message of hate. It is a message of awakening and call to action. It is a message not intended to divide, but to cause honest reflection in order to make this country a better place for ALL.”

The wording has historical precedence, according to the church’s Facebook page.

After the shooting of a black man by a white man in Montgomery, Ala., in 1949, Rev. Vernon Johns posted a sign outside the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church that read: “It Is Safe To Kill Negroes In Montgomery.”

The church has since changed the wording into a question: “Is It Safe To Kill Black People In America?”

“The initial sign, which has caused such a furor, stated, “It is safe to kill Black People in the United States of Amerikkka.” Much focus was placed on the intentional misspelling of America,” the church responded on its Facebook page.

“The use of “kkk”, was done to call attention to the fact that, just as in the ‘glory days of the KKK, it appears far too often that the murder of African Americans is permitted, and the mistreatment of African Americans historically and currently is far too cavalierly considered.”

Irate Ivy League professor calls God ‘a white racist god’ after Zimmerman verdict

In light of a Florida jury verdict finding George Zimmerman not guilty, a professor at an Ivy League university has now concluded that God is “a white racist god with a problem” who “is carrying a gun and stalking young black men.”

The fulmination is part of an epic blog rant by Anthea Butler, an associate professor of religious studies at the University of Pennsylvania and a frequent guest at media outlets including MSNBC and CNN.

In the diatribe, Butler cites a book she first read as a seminary student called Is God a White Racist? by William R. Jones. She found the book surprising then, but says she understands it now, particularly as she contemplates the death of Trayvon Martin, who died on February 26, 2012.

Florida governor holds emergency meeting with anti-Zimmerman protesters

Florida Gov. Rick Scott held an emergency meeting Thursday night with pro-Trayvon Martin protesters that staged a sit-in outside his office to demand an end to Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.

Scott, who has been under fire from activists in the wake of George Zimmerman’s acquittal in Martin’s death, met with protesters at the State Capitol and reminded them that he agrees with Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law, but that he’s calling for a “statewide day of prayer for unity” to help people of all persuasions move beyond the verdict.

More than 100 protesters from the group Dream Defenders, which previously coordinated with a unit of the Obama administration’s Justice Department, descended upon the Florida state capitol Wednesday demanding to meet with Governor Scott to request that a special legislative session be held to repeal the state’s Stand Your Ground law, which Scott supports. Scott, who is facing tough re-election odds in 2014, initially showed no sign of desiring a meeting with protesters, but eventually caved in at 9 pm ET Thursday night, at the end of Day 2 of the protesters’ sit-in in the lobby of Scott’s office.

“I asked to meet with the protestors this evening to personally hear their concerns following the jury’s verdict in the Zimmerman case. I expressed my own sympathies for the Martin family and all those affected by Trayvon’s death. Earlier this evening, I also spoke to Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon’s mother, to again give my condolences on the loss of her son and let her know that she and her family remain in our thoughts and prayers,” Scott said in a statement provided to The Daily Caller.

“Tonight, the protestors again asked that I call a special session of the Legislature to repeal Florida’s Stand Your Ground law. I told them that I agree with the Task Force on Citizen Safety and Protection, which concurred with the law. I also reminded them of their right to share their views with their state legislators and let them know their opinions on the law,” Scott said.

I also told them that I plan to call for a Statewide Day of Prayer for Unity in Florida this Sunday, July 21st. We have a great state with wonderful, resilient people that rise to meet any challenge. While emotions run high, it is even more important that we join together to strengthen and support one another,” Scott said in his statement.

Stand Your Ground questions have whipped the governor into a veritable panic — evidenced by his reaction to a reporter’s inquiry during an unrelated Thursday afternoon press conference in Tampa.

“Scott responded that he did not support getting rid of the law, but before he could elaborate, he was rushed out by his media relations team,” Central Florida News 13 reported Thursday afternoon. “No follow-up questions were allowed.”
