These are the reporters from HuffPost  Roll Eyes This is why this is a media Driven Race War

HuffPo Reporter Mistakes Earplugs For Rubber Bullets
Can Anyone Confirm?

There are no words to describe the absolutely incompetent tweet by Huffington Post "justice reporter" Ryan J. Reilly, who tweeted a photo of cheap foam earplugs and asked, “I believe these are rubber bullets, can anyone confirm? ‪#Ferguson”

http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/huffpo-reporter-mistakes-earplugs-rubber-bullets

Of course, Twitter followers picked up on the tweet and made sure Mr. Reilly knew about it. Former Illinois Congressman and current radio host Joe Walsh poked fun at his “justice reporter” status and called him out for his lack of knowledge:

Even though Reilly admitted to the bungling tweet and apologized, people did not let up.

Redskins Run Onto Field Before Game with Hands Up for Michael Brown

From nearly 1,000 miles away, several Redskins players used the Monday Night Football stage to draw attention to the situation that has been unfolding in Ferguson, Missouri by running onto FedExField with their hands up in the air.

Ferguson is where unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer on Aug. 9. Witnesses have said he was not aggressive toward the officer and had his hands raised above his head before he was shot. As a result, the words “hands up, don’t shoot” have become a rallying cry of protesters, both in Ferguson and online.

Following Washington’s win against Cleveland, WNEW learned the idea for the gesture came from safety Brandon Meriweather and cornerback DeAngelo Hall.

“We just want to show our supporters what’s going on in St. Louis,” Meriweather said. “We just wanted to show support.”

“That could have been any one of us,” said free safety Ryan Clark. “That could have been any one of our brothers, our cousins… When you get an opportunity to make a statement, and be more than a football player, it’s good.”

Really? So your saying you would have went into a store stole a bunch of stuff, beat up the owner than charge a cop when you think you were caught? nice way of setting an example there...  Tongue

Report: Over A Dozen Witnesses Corroborate Darren Wilson's Account

Monday night, Christine Bryers of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch tweeted out that sources in the police sources have reportedly told her that over a dozen witnesses have corroborated officer Darren Wilson's account of what happened the day he shot Michael Brown, an unarmed black teen. See tweet below:

Police sources tell me more than a dozen witnesses have corroborated cop's version of events in shooting #Ferguson
10:30 PM - 18 Aug 2014

None of the witnesses testimonies have been officially made public.

Officer Wilson has only made his testimony of what happened that day by way of proxy, not personally. On Friday, a friend of Darren Wilson identifying herself as Josie called into the Dana Loesch show and claimed Michael Brown "bum-rushed" the officer after assaulting him in his car.

“Michael and his friend turn around. And Michael taunts him… And then all the sudden he just started bumrushing him. He just started coming at him full speed. And, so he just started shooting. And, he just kept coming. And, so he really thinks he was on something,” the caller added. “The final shot was in the forehead, and then he fell about two or three feet in front of the officer.”

CNN later confirmed the woman's account with law enforcement sources. Autopsies have also helped corroborate Wilson's account of what happened.

Lets see how the powers that be spin this one

Officer Darren Wilson Suffered “Orbital Blowout Fracture to Eye Socket” During Mike Brown Attack

The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store.

Local St. Louis sources said Wilson suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket.” This comes from a source within the Prosecuting Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.

St. Louis City police shoot, kill knife-wielding suspect

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says officers warned a suspect multiple times to put down his weapon before they shot and killed him.

The shooting happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday  at McLaran and Riverview.  Police say the suspect tried to rob the Six Star Market convenience store with a knife.  Chief Sam Dotson said the store owner let the man leave the store.    A St. Louis City Alderwomam witnessed the man walking erratically around and called police.

When officers arrived, the suspect refused to put down weapon despite multiple verbal command by police.    Chief Sam Dotson says the man yelled at officers “shoot me now” several times. Witnesses also confirmed what the man said.

Dotson says the man continued to refuse the officer’s commands, approached within three to four feet of them with the knife in an attack posture.

Both officers opened fire on the suspect killing him.   No officers were injured.

I think 6 shots into Mr.Brown, two in the head, are excessive.
When an unarmed 18 year old is running toward a cop, and that 18 year old doesn't have a weapon, while the cop has a 9mm., a taser or pepper spray, and a belt of bullets or clips for reload of his weapon, the 18 year old isn't a threat to that fully armed cop.

One bullet usually stops an advance by an unarmed individual. Two bullets, when cops are taught to aim center mass, certainly stops an advance. 5 bullets to the body and two to the head, guarantee an unarmed 18 year old with his hands in the air, which if Mr.Brown was advancing toward the cop can be a standard command issued by a cop. "Put your hands in the air and walk toward me..." , is murder.

5 Things Christians Need to Know about the Ferguson Riots

The St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri has attracted the attention of the world in the recent shooting and death of unarmed Michael Brown by a Ferguson Police officer Saturday, August 9.

Officer Darren Wilson reportedly fatally shot Brown just minutes after he allegedly robbed a convenience store stealing a box of Swisher Sweets cigars in a strong-arm robbery.

Since the shooting of the 18-year-old African American teenager, Ferguson has been the scene of Molotov cocktails, rioting, looting, and intense protests.

These scenes reminiscent of the race riots of the 60s and 70s in cities throughout the U.S., have many exasperated with the media circus and pondering what is at the core of the crisis.

1. Has media coverage contributed to violence in Ferguson?

For the past week networks like MSNBC, Fox News and CNN have camped out in Ferguson producing non-stop coverage. While some claim police behavior is behind the violence, others contend many mainstream news outlets are not only working hard to establish a narrative that isn’t balanced, but are seeking to try the case in the public square.

The Washington D.C.-based Media Research Center claims the media has created a narrative that the U.S. is a racist nation and its coverage feeds that storyline.

“We don’t have a news business in the United States,” said Tim Graham, MRC's director of media analysis. “We have a narrative business.”

Since the Ferguson Police Department released the identity of the officer who shot Brown, Darren Wilson, a white law enforcement officer, has been under attack.

CNN featured a report in front of Wilson’s home virtually identifying his address, The Washington Post named the street where Wilson lives and USA Today also named the community.

In its 5 p.m. newscast August 15, St. Louis television station KSDK showed video footage of the police officer's home. The NBC affiliated owned by Gannett, Co. Inc. issued an apology on Facebook.

“Yesterday KSDK showed the video of the Ferguson Police Officer’s home in our 5 p.m. news but did not mention the address of the home. KSDK immediately felt using that video was a mistake and pulled the video of the home from future newscasts and from our web site. We have not used the video since then and do not intend to do so. We apologize to our audience, to the surrounding neighborhoods, to the greater St. Louis community and to the officer for our mistake.”

2. What is the role of Black activists like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?

Members of the Project 21 black leadership network, some of whom are St. Louis residents and eyewitnesses to the unfolding controversy, are speaking out about continuing protests that have resulted in dozens of arrests.

Christopher Arps, co-founder of Move-On-Up.org and member of Project 21, says the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, are like putting fuel on a bonfire.

“We have a very strong and diverse clergy presence in St. Louis,” said Arps. “We really didn’t need Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson here.”

While there has been rioting in the late hours of the night since the shooting, Arps doesn’t believe it was a coincidence that violence broke out in the streets much early the same day Sharpton delivered a fiery speech.

“I believe his comments insight the riots we saw that night,” Arps said.

Arps maintains that what happened to Michael Brown is a tragedy and that cooler heads should now prevail until the investigation is complete.

“This tense situation does not need outside agitators swooping in fanning the flames of an already tense situation.”

3. What is causing the rioting?

Following seven days of chaos, Democratic Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon lifted the nighttime curfew and deployed the Missouri National Guard to help contain civil unrest in Ferguson.

Some call the deployment an overreach of power or an attempted to squelch the freedom of speech rights of protestors, as contributing factors to the violence. Others go as far to say that Ferguson is “occupied” by law enforcement.

“Although Michael’s death is sad and unfortunate, the emerging facts support the police’s version of the situation,” said Dr. Carol Swain, professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University. “By all accounts, the community’s response has been unreasonable and more importantly, unproductive for black people in America.”

Swain, who is also host of “Be the People,” contends national black leaders have failed the people of Ferguson.

“Black communities need leaders who know God and can inspire hope and change among the people, rather than fuel the nihilism that presently exists,” said Swain.

Protesters were heavily outnumbered Tuesday evening when law enforcement officers fired tear gas and stun grenades to help maintain peace. At one point, officials estimate police and media combined outnumbered protesters.

Importantly, police reports find that outside provocateurs represent a majority of those trying to push police to violence, while most Ferguson residents are peacefully protesting.

Others point to a demographic shift in the community that’s given rise to the rioting.

Ferguson, a town of about 20,000, can best be described as a community in transition. In 1970, Ferguson was 99% white, but now the St. Louis suburb is 67% black.

Out of a police force of 50, only 3 are black.

In recent days, some commentators say this unbalance of diversity has caused a racial divide in the community.

4. Who is Darren Wilson?

The 28-year-old police officer lives in Crestwood, a neighboring town of Ferguson, but has been in hiding since his identity was released. Earlier in the year he was awarded a commendation for his “extraordinary effort in the line of duty.”

While much has been reported about Michael Brown and the riots in Ferguson, little has been reported about Officer Darren Wilson.

At a rally that received little media attention, over 100 people gathered in support of Officer Wilson.

In less than a week, a Facebook page entitled “I Support Officer Wilson” has grown to over 36,000 “Likes.”

On the crowdfunding site GoFundMe.com, Wilson supporters have raised over $30,000 for his family’s financial needs, including legal fees.

5. How is the Church responding?

Local religious leaders have been actively engaged in outreach efforts since problems began in Ferguson.

At various times local religious leaders have attempted to disperse unruly crowds.

Five-years-ago, Joe Costephens launched The Passage Church that borders two St. Louis area suburbs, including Ferguson.

Costephens has organized various evangelical churches that have been cleaning ravaged streets filled with rubbish created by rioters.

“Our goal is to be there for people without taking sides,” said Costephens. “I’m trying to save my own judgment until more is known.”

The Passage congregation consists of a diverse group of parishioners, some who grew up in the streets and others who are highly educated. They’ve taken to the streets seeking to deliver a message of peace and racial healing.

“The community is coming together, but that’s not being reported,” said Costephens. “The camera’s are missing people being neighborly.”

Area pastors are also leading a campaign to encourage people to shop and eat in Ferguson this week.

“Let’s show this greater part of our St. Louis community that we love them.”

Costephens explains that the people of Ferguson need hope and reconciliation

“The root issue of everything we are seeing is sin and I would dare say pride,” adds Costephens. “Always needing to be right, opposed to coming before one another seeking forgiveness and figure out ways to unite through this situation.”

Cops aren't your friends to begin with. And to sit and charge one for no reason especially as big as that guy was was just stupidity on his part. A cop is trained to shoot until the person is down, not shoot once or twice. I dont like cops, but all the evidence in this so far, not the made up media drivel, but the real facts and eye witnesses all points to the cops story as the truth. Not the media's race war story.

Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown, says source

Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of Michael Brown touched off more than a week of demonstrations, suffered severe facial injuries, including an orbital (eye socket) fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun, a source close to the department's top brass told FoxNews.com.

“The Assistant (Police) Chief took him to the hospital, his face all swollen on one side,” said the insider. “He was beaten very severely.”

According to the well-placed source, Wilson was coming off another case in the neighborhood on Aug. 9 when he ordered Michael Brown and his friend Dorain Johnson to stop walking in the middle of the road because they were obstructing traffic. However, the confrontation quickly escalated into physical violence, the source said..

“They ignored him and the officer started to get out of the car to tell them to move," the source said. "They shoved him right back in, that’s when Michael Brown leans in and starts beating Officer Wilson in the head and the face.

The source claims that there is "solid proof" that there was a struggle between Brown and Wilson for the policeman’s firearm, resulting in the gun going off – although it still remains unclear at this stage who pulled the trigger. Brown started to walk away according to the account, prompting Wilson to draw his gun and order him to freeze. Brown, the source said, raised his hands in the air, and turned around saying, "What, you're going to shoot me?"

At that point, the source told FoxNews.com, the 6 foot, 4 inch, 300-pound Brown charged Wilson, prompting the officer to fire at least six shots at him, including the fatal bullet that penetrated the top of Brown's skull, according to an independent autopsy conducted at the request of Brown's family.

Wilson suffered a fractured eye socket in the fracas, and was left dazed by the initial confrontation, the source said. He is now "traumatized, scared for his life and his family, injured and terrified" that a grand jury, which began hearing evidence on Wednesday, will "make some kind of example out of him," the source said.

The source also said the dashboard and body cameras, which might have recorded crucial evidence, had been ordered by Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson, but had only recently arrived and had not yet been deployed.

St. Louis County police, who have taken over the investigation, did not return requests for comment about possible injuries suffered by Wilson.

Edward Magee, spokesman for St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCullough, said the office will not disclose the nature of the evidence it will reveal to a grand jury.

"We'll present every piece of evidence we have, witness statements, et cetera, to the grand jury, and we do not release any evidence or talk about evidence on the case."

Nabil Khattar, CEO of 7Star Industries – which specializes in firearms training for law enforcement and special operations personnel – confirmed that police are typically instructed to use deadly force if in imminent danger of being killed or suffering great bodily injury.

“You may engage a threat with enough force that is reasonably necessary to defend against that danger,” he said.

Wilson is a six-year veteran of the Ferguson police force department, and has no prior disciplinary infringements.

Massive protests have since taken over the St. Louis community, prompting Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon last Thursday to place Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson at the helm of security operations in an effort to calm ongoing tensions. The federal government is also investigating the death, and Attorney General Eric Holder has taken the lead – calling “the selective release of sensitive information” in the case “troubling.”

On Friday, Ferguson police released surveillance video showing Brown stealing cigars from a convenience store just before his death. Jackson came under intense criticism for disclosing the tape and a related police report as he also insisted that the alleged robbery and the encounter with Wilson were unrelated matters. Brown’s family, through their attorney, suggested the tape’s release was a strategic form of “character assassination.”

However, FoxNews.com’s source insisted that there was absolutely no spin agenda behind the tape’s release and that there were a number of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) media requests filed by media outlets seeking it. Tom Jackson is said to have waited on publicly releasing it, and did not want it shown until Brown’s grieving mother first had the chance to see it.

“He defied the FOIAs as long as he could,” noted the insider. “A powerful, ugly spin has completely ruined public discourse on this whole situation.”

Mother of Michael Brown calls for arrest of police officer responsible for shooting her son, says she wants justice - @GMA

EVIDENCE DOES NOT POINT TO THE COP DOING ANYTHING WRONG. Mom is just ashamed she had a THUG kid.

Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

However, the damage has already been done in Ferguson, MO.

Star Witness In Michael Brown Shooting Charged With Theft, Filing False Police Report

Dorian Johnson, the primary witness to the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, has an outstanding warrant for a 2011 theft in Jefferson City and pleaded guilty for filing a false police report related to that theft.

St. Louis ABC affiliate ABC 17 cross referenced Johnson’s name against several records and discovered the warrant.

Johnson will be the star witness for any potential prosecution proceedings against Officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of Brown. Johnson was walking with Brown when the shooting occurred.

He has already done multiple media appearances where he falsely claimed Brown was shot by Wilson in the back.  He also has claimed that Brown never reached for Wilson’s gun, was “shot like an animal” and that Brown had his hands up and told Wilson he was unarmed.

Johnson’s claims helped inspire the protests and riots in Ferguson over the past 10 days, as well as the “Hands up, don’t shoot” rallying cry of the protesters and their supporters.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has details about the 2011 charges against Johnson:

During the summer after his first semester at Lincoln, Johnson was charged with a misdemeanor after giving police a false first name after he was arrested on suspicion of theft. He later pleaded guilty.

He was accused of stealing a package containing a backpack belonging to someone else from an apartment complex. When he was arrested in that case, he identified himself as Derrick Johnson and said he was 16.

He is wanted for failing to appear in Jefferson City municipal court to answer to the theft charge, court officials said.

According to the Post-Dispatch, the president of the local chapter of the NAACP knew about the charges against Johnson, but the fact that he was guilty of lying to the police didn’t matter:

Adolphus Pruitt, president of the St. Louis NAACP chapter, which has been encouraging witnesses to come forward, said Johnson’s false report case “doesn’t concern me.”

“He’s been very clear about what occurred, and now we have … four others stating facts that support the statements he’s been making,” Pruitt said. “Why would that diminish other accounts that are relatively the same?”

Whether or not Johnson committed the crime, lied to police, or is proven false on his account of how Brown was shot by Wilson, finding out what actually happened in the Ferguson shooting will require more evidence and multiple eye-witness accounts. It is important for neither the mainstream media nor armchair pundits to act like they definitively know what happened in this tragic event.

Media pull out amid new evidence Brown was aggressor
Pastor: 'We have to know the truth about what really happened'

Yep we did all the damage that we could, but now that the truth has come out were leaving. Because none of this is our fault. We just stir it up

Many news media services already had begun packing tents and television transmission vehicles as word circulated through the Ferguson community of further evidence that the black teen shot and killed by a police officer was the aggressor, resisting arrest after his suspected role in a convenience store robbery.

During daylight hours Wednesday and Thursday, the streets of Ferguson were open to normal traffic and businesses throughout the city were active, with protesters in the streets numbering fewer than 50 at any given time.

Media have been cordoned off in the parking lot of a large shopping center at the corner of West Florissant Avenue and Lucas-Hunt Road, less than a mile from the site of the shooting.

Joe Costephens, the white pastor of an interracial congregation, the Passage Community Church in Florissant, confirmed to WND that most of the riot activity had taken place in the three or four blocks around the location of the shooting at West Florissant Avenue and Canfield Drive.

“The Ferguson you see on the national news is different from the Ferguson I know,” he told WND.

“There’s an emphasis on families in Ferguson and on community. We are definitely an interracial community, and I’m proud to minister to an interracial congregation,” Costephens said.

“While things were going crazy with the Michael Brown shooting on Sunday, we had a pool party in my neighborhood, and it was half-white and half-black,” he said. “It was a beautiful thing, families loving one another, both races, with a sense of community.”

‘Don’t jump to conclusions’

Wednesday in Ferguson, the buzz was about a Facebook posting by local radio station 100.7 FM claiming the officer in the Aug. 9 shooting, Darren Wilson, would not be indicted because key witnesses said 18-year-old Michael Brown attacked the officer and attempted to take away his gun. Fox News reported Wilson suffered severe facial injuries, including an eye-socket fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun.

Wednesday night, nevertheless, the Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin warning that the hacktivist group Anonymous is planning nationwide protests Thursday against the Ferguson police shooting. The group’s “National Day of Rage” is expected to span 38 major U.S. cities, including Washington, D.C.

Costephens, who grew up in Ferguson attending First Baptist Church, said he has urged his congregation “not to jump to conclusions, because in three or four months, when all this calms down, it’s going to be the churches that are left to rebuild.”

“The thing I’ve addressed to the congregation is that we’re not here to make a political or a social statement; we are here to minister to people, and we’re going to wait until all the facts are out and let the system that’s in place decide right and wrong,” he said.

Open for business

On Wednesday, WND toured the riot area along West Florissant and estimated there were about 300 to 400 protesters in the streets. Most were milling about and occasionally chanting slogans, including, “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,” on a night when 43,085 attended the St. Louis Cardinals baseball game downtown and a heavy thunderstorm hit the city for nearly an hour.

Earlier on Wednesday, WND found the businesses boarded up after window damage from the riot activity could be measured in the dozens, with only a few stores appearing to have suffered fire damage.

It was a sharp contrast to the burning and looting common to 1960s race riots, such as the Watts riot in Los Angeles in 1965 and the Hough riot in Cleveland in 1966.

Costephens told WND he has “talked and prayed with many of the shop owners.”

“Many who are not yet back open for business are wanting to wait until things calm down a while,” he said. “It makes sense. If things are going to be rough, why repair the windows? So, they’re boarding the windows up and open for business. Some are staying closed for the time being, waiting for insurance money to come in.”

No justice without truth

On Wednesday, WND also interviewed Stoney Shaw, pastor of First Baptist Church in Ferguson, who has urged his community to “let the justice system work.”

“We have to know the truth about what really happened in the Michael Brown shooting,” he said.

“How can you have justice if you don’t have the truth? If you don’t have truth, then what you have is vigilante justice.”

Shaw added, “If the facts show the police officer went over the line, then he should be prosecuted.”

However, he continued, if the officer “was in the line of duty and the young man was not right in everything he did – if he was belligerent over what he did in the convenience store and it carried on down the street – then that’s a different story.”

Thought about this last night - what if the West Coast got a massive earthquake(ie-8.0+ range) in the imminent future? This has been "anticipated" since the turn of the 21st century, especially since the turn of this decade.

Pt being that what we saw in Boston last year, and now in Ferguson, MO this year - could this be preparing the masses to accept Martial Law in that area if this event happens? Seriously - just imagine all of the CHAOS AND RIOTS that would go on there if this happened(just forget about all of the media driven race wars for a sec).

MTV to turn Video Music Awards spotlight on Ferguson

ast year, Miley Cyrus’s twerking, teddy-bear-filled performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards set off fierce arguments about race and cultural appropriation. This year, MTV is hoping to use its awards ceremony to start a different kind of conversation. Before and during the show, the network will be airing somber public service announcements about the ongoing standoff between law enforcement and the citizens of Ferguson, Mo., in the wake of the August 9 shooting death of teenager Michael Brown.

MTV’s spots are part of a larger campaign, Look Different, that the network developed in conjunction with organizations including the Anti-Defamation League, the NAACP, the National Council of La Raza and the Southern Poverty Law Center. MTV has a long history of activist-oriented youth programming, and the Look Different program developed out of a paradox that MTV President Stephen Friedman told me he saw showing up in MTV polling.

Stopping right there, i think we see the agenda...

CNN Now Worried Ferguson Shooting Audio Is Hoax

When CNN first broadcast the unverified audio of the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO, it was with all the sturm and drang of breathless breaking news. The audio led almost every hour and was the biggest story of the day.

What a difference a day makes. The language coming from "New Day" anchor Michaela Pereira Wednesday morning is much more cautious. "Do you think it's authentic?" she squeaked to two law enforcement experts, both of whom believe it is a hoax:

video: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2014/08/27/cnn-now-worried-ferguson-shooting-audio-is-hoax

Even if the audio ends up being authentic, the fact that CNN is now concerned over its authenticity and laying the groundwork to claim they were always skeptical, tells you how irresponsible the network is. The prejudicial audio never should have been aired prior to authentication. But this is exactly the kind of incendiary behavior we have come to expect from the news network that disgraced itself more than any other during the George Zimmerman affair.

CNN's timing of the release made perfect sense. The leftwing network dropped the audio the day after treating the funeral of Michael Brown as though he was a head of state. With the death **** concluded and the Ferguson streets quiet, CNN needed to fill the race-baiting vacuum with something.

This is the second time CNN has been unforgivably irresponsible with audio. Using unintelligible audio of George Zimmerman's 911 call, CNN falsely claimed Zimmerman had described Trayvon Martin as a "**** coon" before fatally shooting the teenager. CNN not only fabricated this evidence against Zimmerman, after it was proven Zimmerman didn't use the racial slur, CNN continued to lie to its audience and claim he had.

Snoop Dogg's White Face Gimmick - Media Is Silent

Snoop Dogg has had many name changes throughout his career.  It first began with Snoop Doggy Dogg followed by Snoop Dog.  In the last few years he has become known as Snoop Lion.  But in the last few days Snoop unveiled his latest persona: a white-faced man named Todd.

Uproxx writes, “[Y]esterday Snoop Dogg unveiled his new white guy persona named 'Todd' to the world, which first popped up on Instagram, and now there’s a bunch of YouTube videos of Snoop/Todd promoting something called “White Guys Connect,” which is apparently a dating service for meeting ladies.”

Research shows no website called “White Guys Connect,” which leads to the belief that Snoop Dogg/Lion/Todd is nothing short of a gimmick.

But the question needs to be asked: If a white artist donned a “black face” and promoted a website called “Black Guys Connect,” would the media explode with calls of racism?

So far, the media has been silent on Snoop’s “white face” antics.

Justice Dept. to probe Ferguson police force

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. this week will launch a broad civil rights investigation into the Ferguson, Mo., Police Department, according to two federal law enforcement officials.

The investigation, which could be announced as early as Thursday afternoon, will be conducted by the Justice Department’s civil rights division and follow a process similar to that used to investigate complaints of profiling and the use of excessive force in other police departments across the country, the officials said.

The move follows the shooting last month of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old African American, by a white Ferguson police officer who claimed he acted in self-defense. Brown, who was unarmed, was shot at least six times on the afternoon of Aug. 9.

Holder’s decision will represent the Obama administration’s most aggressive step to address the Ferguson shooting, which set off days of often-violent clashes between police and demonstrators in the streets of the St. Louis suburb.

The federal officials said the probe will look not only at Ferguson but also at other police departments in St. Louis County. Some, like Ferguson, are predominantly white departments serving majority-African-American communities, and at least one department invited the Justice Department to look at its practices. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the pending inquiry.

Ferguson Protesters Vow More Violence, Threaten to Shut Down Rams, Cardinals Games

Ferguson demonstrators stormed a St. Louis County Council meeting on Tuesday evening and threatened more violence and to shut down St. Louis Rams and Cardinals games if the officer who shot Michael Brown to death is not arrested or indicted.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that "protesters demanded the arrest of Darren Wilson, the police officer who shot 18-year-old Michael Brown to death on a Ferguson street five weeks ago, the removal of County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch from the Brown case, the resignations of County Police Chief Jon Belmar and Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson and accountability from the elected county legislative arm."

“If Darren Wilson gets off, you all better bring every army you all have got. ’Cause it’s going down,” one speaker reportedly said, according to the Post-Dispatch. Another speaker reportedly told council members, "You are ISIS to black people."

Speakers also reportedly "threatened to shut down St. Louis Cardinals and Rams games this Sunday, disrupt weekend grocery shopping trips throughout the area and mount massive demonstrations if the Cardinals reach the World Series." They compared officer Wilson and police officers to "war criminals" and the "St. Louis County government to the Ku Klux Klan" while drawing "analogies between the St. Louis region and Jim Crow laws."

Most of the anger was reportedly directed at "Steve Stenger, the 6th District Democratic councilman facing Republican state Rep. Rick Stream in the November general election in the race for county executive."

A grand jury is hearing evidence in the Michael Brown case and, after receiving a 60-day extension this week, has until January 7 to decide whether to indict officer Wilson.

Ferguson Protestors Seeking Tickets to Get Into Sunday Rams Game
Kevin Killeen (@KMOXKilleen)

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – KMOX News has learned Ferguson protestors are seeking St. Louis Rams tickets in the hopes of getting into the Edward Jones Dome and disrupting this Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

We first heard about the threat Tuesday at the St. Louis County Council meeting.

“It’s not going to a fun day Sunday at your beautiful Rams game,” one protestor said.

Speaking with KMOX hosts Debbie Monterrey and Michael Kelley on Thursday morning, St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said he’s well aware of those threats and is working on plans to counteract them.

We are having extra resources in the downtown area for this weekend to address any eventuality,” Dotson said.

Demonstrators will be allowed to display their message as long as they do it peacefully, he said, but if they become belligerent, they will be shut down by police.

Now, there’s a Youtube video with Ferguson protestor Umar Lee seeking tickets to the game.

“So all of those St. Louis Rams fans who love justice, I will ask you to contact me and to donate your St. Louis Rams tickets so protestors can get in the dome,” Lee says in the video.

Lee goes on to warn “that game is going to be shut down to the justice of Mike Brown.”

Ferguson officer wounded after confronting burglars; suspects remain at large

Title should say, Ferguson cop shot while confronting looters

A Ferguson police officer was shot Saturday night. The officer, a man, survived the shooting, authorities said.

The shooting occurred in the 1000 block of Smith Avenue in Ferguson, near the new Ferguson Community Center.

Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson said Saturday night that the officer was on routine patrol and spotted two suspects trying to break into a business. He said the business was in Ferguson.

When the officer confronted the suspects, Jackson said, one of them pulled a gun and fired at the officer. The officer was struck once in the arm, and was expected to be okay.

At a news conference near the Ferguson Police Department early Sunday, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar gave the same account of the shooting as Jackson.

He added that police fired at the suspects at some point during the altercation. But there is no evidence that they were hit. “We have no indication either suspect was shot,” Belmar said.

Belmar said he doesn’t believe the incident was linked to the Ferguson protests, and that he knew of no other incidents Saturday night.

In the background, chants could be heard from protesters, including, “We are going to shut this down!”

Many in the group of roughly 100 expressed skepticism at the police account of the shooting.

Dozens of police cars from numerous jurisdictions converged on the area after the shooting. The shooter is reported to have fled into nearby woods.

Police established a staging area near the St. Peters Evangelical Church of Christ on West Florissant Avenue.

Officers are still searching for the shooter, according to St. Louis County Police.

The shooting came at the end of another week of protests, arrests and violence since the Aug. 9 shooting of Michael Brown by Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson.

Authorities had hoped to avoid further confrontations by canceling the weekly Ferguson Farmers Market on Saturday to prevent a repeat of last week’s encounters between protesters and marketgoers.

Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson issued a video Thursday in which he apologized directly to Brown’s family and to protesters who felt the police mishandled the protests that followed. But the move seemed to reignite protesters calling for Jackson’s firing, and tension increased.

Police Officer in Ferguson Is Said to Recount a Struggle

The police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., two months ago has told investigators that he was pinned in his vehicle and in fear for his life as he struggled over his gun with Mr. Brown, according to government officials briefed on the federal civil rights investigation into the matter.

The officer, Darren Wilson, has told the authorities that during the scuffle, Mr. Brown reached for the gun. It was fired twice in the car, according to forensics tests performed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The first bullet struck Mr. Brown in the arm; the second bullet missed.

The forensics tests showed Mr. Brown’s blood on the gun, as well as on the interior door panel and on Officer Wilson’s uniform. Officer Wilson told the authorities that Mr. Brown had punched and scratched him repeatedly, leaving swelling on his face and cuts on his neck.

This is the first public account of Officer Wilson’s testimony to investigators, but it does not explain why, after he emerged from his vehicle, he fired at Mr. Brown multiple times. It contradicts some witness accounts, and it will not calm those who have been demanding to know why an unarmed man was shot a total of six times. Mr. Brown’s death continues to fuel anger and sometimes-violent protests.

In September, Officer Wilson appeared for four hours before a St. Louis County grand jury, which was convened to determine whether there is probable cause that he committed a crime. Legal experts have said that his decision to testify was surprising, given that it was not required by law. But the struggle in the car may prove to be a more influential piece of information for the grand jury, one that speaks to Officer Wilson’s state of mind, his feeling of vulnerability and his sense of heightened alert when he killed Mr. Brown.

Police officers typically have wide latitude to use lethal force if they reasonably believe that they are in imminent danger.

The officials said that while the federal investigation was continuing, the evidence so far did not support civil rights charges against Officer Wilson. To press charges, the Justice Department would need to clear a high bar, proving that Officer Wilson willfully violated Mr. Brown’s civil rights when he shot him.

The account of Officer Wilson’s version of events did not come from the Ferguson Police Department or from officials whose activities are being investigated as part of the civil rights inquiry.

In the many accounts of Mr. Brown’s death, the most potent imagery has come from his final moments, when he and Officer Wilson faced each other on Canfield Drive. Some witnesses have said that he appeared to be surrendering with his hands in the air as he was hit with the fatal gunshots. Others have said that Mr. Brown was moving toward Officer Wilson when he was killed.

Few witnesses had perfect vantage points for the fight in the car, which occurred just after noon on Aug. 9. Mr. Brown was walking down the middle of the street with a friend, Dorian Johnson, when Officer Wilson stopped his S.U.V., a Chevy Tahoe, to order them to the sidewalk.
Continue reading the main story Continue reading the main story
Continue reading the main story

Within seconds, the encounter turned into a physical struggle, as the officer and Mr. Brown became entangled through the open driver’s-side window.

One witness, Piaget Crenshaw, said later that while she could not see clearly, it appeared Mr. Brown was “trying to flee.” Another witness, Tiffany Mitchell, said that she had watched with alarm from a close distance and that as the two briefly struggled, “Michael was pulling off and the cop was trying to pull him in.”

Michael T. Brady, who lives nearby, said that the altercation was “something strange,” but that he could not tell exactly what was happening. “I can’t say whether he was punching the officer or whatever,” Mr. Brady said. “But something was going on in that window, and it didn’t look right.”

However, Mr. Johnson’s description of the scuffle is detailed and specific, and directly contradicts what Officer Wilson has told the authorities.

Mr. Johnson has said that Officer Wilson was the aggressor, backing up his vehicle and opening the door, which hit Mr. Johnson and Mr. Brown and then bounced back.

“He just reached his arm out the window and grabbed my friend around his neck, and he was trying to choke my friend,” Mr. Johnson told reporters after the shooting. “He was trying to get away, and the officer then reached out and grabbed his arm to pull him inside the car.”

ISIS in America: Call to Action Says Attack Police, Officials, and Soldiers Inside United States

Islamic State terrorists are being urged to target police officers, government officials, and “media figures” inside the United States by ISIS leaders.

An ISIS spokesman said in an audio message to supporters that “lone wolf” persons affiliated with the group should target the three sectors, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security said in a bulletin sent to U.S. law enforcement officials.

The individuals should attack “soldiers, patrons, and troops … their police, security and intelligence members” in Western countries, the spokesman said, noting that the attackers don’t need to “ask for anyone’s advice.”

An English translation of the message was recently posted on a jihadi forum, reported NBC.

Around the same time, according to the bulletin, an ISIS supporter posted a document in an ISIS-dominated web forum advocating “open source jihad” and “lone wolf operations” by U.S. Muslims against “a list of potential targets, including military, law enforcement, FBI personnel, government officials and media figures.”

Officials said they’re not aware of any specific threat but warned law enforcement and FBI personnel and to take “additional precautions” when conducting interviews because of potential threats.

And it warned that the “lone wolf” nature of the attack means that supporters can carry out attacks with little warning.

The bulletin comes after Judicial Watch, citing Department of Homeland Security sources, said that four ISIS combatants were apprehended trying to cross the border into the United States at McAllen and Pharr in Texas.

The report came after Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif, a former Marine Corp Major and member of the House Armed Services Committee, said that at least 10 ISIS fighters have been caught trying to cross the border into Texas.

“ISIS is coming across the southern border,” he told Fox News. “They aren’t flying B1 bombers bombing American cities, but they are going to be bombing American cities coming across from Mexico.”

“I know that at least 10 ISIS fighters have been caught coming across the Mexican border in Texas,” he added.

But while Border Control nabbed the terrorists, “you know there’s going to be dozens more that did not get caught by the Border Patrol,” he said.

A Department of Homeland Security denied that any people with ties to ISIS were apprehended.

Numerous groups are keeping watch for ISIS militants, including the Fusion Intelligence Center in Charleston, West Virginia.

Director Thomas Kirk told WCHS-TV in September that the group has been keeping tabs on classified information on how ISIS militants could be operating in the Mountain State.

While he wouldn’t reveal details, Kirk said that ISIS is training and recruiting people in the U.S. close enough to the state to be concerned.

There are areas in the United States that are not too far from here, that have very large populations that are being recruited for ISIS right now,” Kirk said. “There are people associated with Al Quaida, there are people on the Terrorist Watch List who do travel through West Virginia, whether it’s through the airports or through the roads.”

President Barack Obama and his military commanders were set to meet Tuesday with defense chiefs from more than 20 nations participating in the fight against the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq, though it wasn’t clear whether the threat to the U.S. would be discussed at all.

The daylong meeting came as the White House tries to tout progress in the U.S.-led campaign against the militants, while also girding the public for a military effort that could extend well beyond Obama’s presidency. Administration officials said the meeting would focus on military strategy and ways to bolster the campaign to counter the extremists.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said the meeting would be an important effort to further coordinate and organize the international fight against the Islamic State militants.

"They will be working through those specific areas and defining specific contributions that these nations will make,” Hagel told reporters at the end of Monday’s meeting with defense ministers of the Americas in Arequipa, Peru.

Among the countries represented Tuesday will be Arab nations that have joined the U.S. in launching strikes against the militants in Syria, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. European partners like Britain and France are also participating, as is Turkey, a key NATO ally that neighbors both Syria and Iraq.

The U.S. has been pushing the government in Ankara to play a larger role in taking on the extremists, who are locked in a fierce battle for territory on Turkey’s border. The fight over the town of Kobani in particular has emerged as a major test of whether the U.S.-led campaign against the Islamic State can roll the militant group back in Syria.

On Sunday, American officials said Turkey will let U.S. and coalition forces use its bases for operations against the militants. However, Turkish officials denied that it had reached such a deal with the U.S. and said the two countries would hold deeper talks in the coming days.

“I am optimistic about progress that we are making with the Turks as they … further define their role in the coalition against ISIL,” Hagel said Monday, using an alternative acronym for the Islamic State.

Islamic State extremists have carved out a vast stretch of territory from northern Syria to the outskirts of Baghdad, where they have imposed their harsh interpretation of Islamic law. The fighters have massacred hundreds of captured Iraqi and Syrian soldiers, terrorized religious minorities, and beheaded two American journalists and two British aid workers. Hundreds of thousands of refugees have fled into Turkey from Syria ahead of the militants.

Missouri police preparing for grand jury decision

Missouri police have been brushing up on constitutional rights and stocking up on riot gear to prepare for a grand jury's decision about whether to charge a white police officer who fatally shot a black 18-year-old in suburban St. Louis.

The preparations are aimed at avoiding a renewed outbreak of violence during the potentially large demonstrations that could follow an announcement of whether Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson will face a criminal trial for the Aug. 9 death of Michael Brown.

Police and protesters have repeatedly clashed since the shooting, which prompted a national conversation about race and police tactics. Images of officers in riot gear and armored vehicles confronting protesters have drawn widespread criticism.

Many protesters want Darren Wilson indicted for murder. Grand jury proceedings are secret, but legal analysts say recently leaked information about Wilson's testimony to investigators may be an attempt to prepare the public for the possibility that he might not be charged.

The decision could be made public within the next month.

In the meantime, law officers have adjusted their tactics for interacting more peacefully with protesters while also honing their procedures for quick, widespread arrests. They plan to have a large contingent of officers at the ready, but have been meeting with clergy, community leaders and students in hopes of building relationships that could ease tensions on the streets.

The Myth or The True Story of Michael Brown, Gentle Giant

Ben Shapiro exposes the truth behind the media-created myth of Gentle Giant Michael Brown, the unarmed teen gunned down in cold blood by a white racist cop for the crime of walking while black. Except that every part of that story is a lie.

TRANSCRIPT:

Everything you know about Michael Brown is a lie. The media, the politicians, the race-baiters - they all told you the story of the innocent young, unarmed black teen, the Gentle Giant, murdered in cold blood by a vicious white cop representing the evil establishment.

Al Sharpton, who is always first on the scene when a black person is killed by a white – or, in the case of St. Trayvon of the Blessed Hoodie, a white Hispanic – described Brown as a “gentle giant,” too. Over at Daily Kos, a writer described St. Michael as a “big guy who his family called their ‘Gentle Giant’…built to be a high school football player – direct from central casting – but Mike was too timid for the sport. According to friends and family, he had never been in a fight in his life.” CNN, The Daily Mail – all of them called him a “gentle giant.”

And the man who deprived the world of this “gentle giant” was, of course, Officer Darren Wilson.

Originally, we were told that Wilson shot Brown from behind, after pulling over the “gentle giant” for walking in the middle of the street – a situation President Obama would later term “walking while black.” Supposedly, Wilson pulled the 6’5”, 289-lb. Brown through his driver’s side window, but Brown escaped and ran away from this mad emissary of police brutality. Wilson then allegedly shot the fleeing Brown from behind, at which point Brown turned around, raised his hands in the universal sign of surrender, and perished in a hail of bullets.

Here's the reality. All of this was a lie.

The first crack in the myth of St. Michael, the Gentle Giant, came in the form of a security tape, taken just minutes before the fatal confrontation with Officer Wilson.

According to police reports, the Gentle Giant, who had never been in a fight and was too timid to play football, grabbed a small attendant and slammed him into a display case. He also stole a box of Swisher Sweets, which are cheap cigars.

The next crack in the St. Michael story,  The New York Times reported that Michael Brown “was no angel.” The report explained that he “dabbled in drugs and alcohol” – which, presumably, is why he stole a cheap box of Swisher Sweets from that convenience store, since Swisher Sweets are routinely used to smoke pot. Indeed, Brown’s system was chock full of THC during the incident with Officer Wilson, the autopsy showed.

The New York Times report also explained that Brown “had taken to rapping in recent months, producing lyrics that were by turns contemplative and vulgar.”

Here’s a sampling of St. Michael’s music, culled by Gateway Pundit:

My favorite part is when that body hits the ground.

I soak em up like I’m wringing out a sponge

Talking down make me shoot off your whole tongue

The words of the blessed saint.

The media and politicians cried bloody murder when this information began to tarnish the candle-lit altar they'd built for St. Michael – just because St. Michael had strong-arm robbed a convenience store, done drugs, and cut some vile rap videos didn’t mean he deserved to be shot!

Which, of course, was true. But the rest of the mythical tale of the martyrdom of St. Michael began falling apart, as well.

Officer Wilson’s side of the story began to come out, in dribs and drabs: after pulling Brown over, Wilson said, Wilson tried to get out of his car – Brown shut the door on him, then pushed himself through the driver’s side window. He went for Wilson’s weapon, whereupon Wilson fired the gun in the vehicle. Brown ran. Wilson chased him. Brown then turned around and ran toward Wilson, whereupon Wilson shot him several times.

According to the Washington Post, “more than a half-dozen unnamed black witnesses have provided testimony…that supports Wilson’s account of the events….blood spatter analysis, shell casings and ballistics tests – also support Wilson’s account of the shooting, the Post sources said.”

Now, a new autopsy report revealed by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch – the same newspaper that originally termed Brown a “Gentle Giant” – showed that Brown’s body had a “graze wound” on his thumb; the wound contained matter “consistent with products that are discharged from the barrel of a firearm.” That can only happen at close range – so close, in fact, that there was no stippling – a patterning of gunpowder that will not appear within an inch of the gun barrel. In other words, as San Francisco medical examiner Dr. Judy Melinek said, “this guy is reaching for the gun.”

The autopsy backs up the altercation at the car as well – Brown’s skin was found on the exterior of the vehicle.  CNN reports that blood from Michael Brown was found on Wilson’s uniform, police car, and gun.

The autopsy even gives shows that Brown was shot with his hands up. According to the autopsy report, the gunshot wound to St. Michael’s “upper dorsal right arm” demonstrated that the direction of the shot was “slightly upward, backward and leftward.” That means, according to Melinek, the shot “traveled from the back of the arm to the inner arm, which means Brown’s palms could not have been facing Wilson.”

The rage continues, of course, because facts don't matter when myths have already taken root. Benjamin Crump, the Brown family lawyer - he was also the Martin family attorney - said that “family and supporters will not be persuaded by the autopsy report or eyewitness statements,” according to the Washington Post. And, of course, local politicians have pledged that the evidence won’t change anything.

Meanwhile, the disciples of Michael Brown pay tribute to his Gentle Giantness by fighting over how to capitalize on his supposed martyrdom. Michael Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, reportedly got into a fight with Brown’s grandmother and cousin when she found them selling Michael Brown merchandise. The altercation ended, apparently, with another unnamed person hitting Brown’s cousin in the face with a pipe or pole, resulting in his hospitalization. The suspect then stole a box from the scene containing some $1,400.

But never mind – the legacy of Michael Brown, Gentle Giant, will go on. Another martyr has joined the Racial Testament. Another fake black mark on white racist police forces everywhere. And the left’s aggressive construction of the myth of St. Michael the Gentle Giant ensures that more young black men will see police as the enemy, that confrontations will escalate, and that the left will have many more future opportunities to add to their perverse canon.

Charlie Rangel Says Some Republicans 'Believe That Slavery Isn't Over'.

Veteran Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) had some harsh words for the Republican Party during a Thursday campaign rally for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

As he has done repeatedly before, Rangel compared some members of the GOP to confederates from the Civil War era. But at the Thursday evening event, he added that they "believe that slavery isn't over."

"We have to win. We have to be able to send a national message with Andrew Cuomo. And the thing is: Everything we believe in — everything we believe in — they hate. They don't disagree — they hate! They think if you didn't come from Europe 30 years ago, you didn't even make it. Some of them believe that slavery isn't over and they and think they won the Civil War!" Rangel shouted.

In contrast, Rangel said the Democratic Party is doing "God's work" on issues important to the American people.

"And so what we have to do is send a collective voice," he said of the upcoming midterm elections. "Everything we're doing is God's work: education, healthcare, affordable housing, [protecting against] discrimination, paying people the minimum wage."

Ferguson protest leaders seek heads-up on decision

Activists asked Wednesday for advance notice before prosecutors announce whether a Ferguson police officer will face charges in the shooting death of Michael Brown, saying they can help prevent widespread violence if they have 48 hours to prepare for protests.

Members of the Don't Shoot Coalition said at a news conference that they want to "de-escalate violence without de-escalating action" once a grand jury decides whether to indict Officer Darren Wilson, who is white, for the Aug. 9 shooting of Brown, who was black.

The coalition represents more than 50 organizations including union workers, clergy, anti-war activists and black empowerment groups. Its members are leaders of the protests that erupted across the region after Brown's death and have continued in the three months since.

"Everyone around the United States and much of the world is looking at St. Louis," said Michael McPhearson, executive director of Veterans for Peace. "There's much anticipation as to what happens next."

Demonstrators on Wednesday criticized the use of tear gas, riot equipment and armored vehicles by county and local police in the early days of the protests. The heavy initial response led Gov. Jay Nixon to summon the National Guard and temporarily put the Missouri Highway Patrol in charge of Ferguson crowd control.

Ed Magee, a spokesman for St. Louis County Attorney Bob McCulloch, who is overseeing the grand jury investigation, met with McPhearson and attorney Denise Lieberman earlier Wednesday and said the coalition's request for 48 hours' notice of a grand jury decision is "being considered."

The grand jury was expected to hear evidence in Brown's case until mid-November, but McCulloch said Tuesday night that its work could continue for several more weeks. Brown, 18, was unarmed when Wilson encountered him walking in the street with a friend. A scuffle ensued and Brown was shot multiple times. Witness accounts of what happened varied, with some saying they saw Brown raise his hands as if in surrender.

"After the verdict, no matter what it is, people are going to pour into the street - either in celebration or in rage," said Montague Simmons, chairman of the Organization for Black Struggle. "It's in the best interest of the public, the police and elected officials who control the actions of the police to work together to protect the rights of people to engage in civil disobedience and expression of their First Amendment rights of free speech and assembly."

Organizers have created 19 "rules of engagement" they want police to follow, including calls to treat protesters as "citizens and not enemy combatants."

County police Chief Jon Belmar earlier this week reiterated that police do not intend to impede peaceful dissent but said he wouldn't take anything off the table when asked about the use of tear gas and other tactics.

"I have a responsibility...to make sure that everybody walks out of this on the other end," he said.

Greatest show on Earth? 5 agencies to meet Michael Brown's parents
Prior to pleading case to U.N. Committee Against Torture

The parents of Michael Brown will meet with about 20 representatives of the Obama administration in Geneva, Switzerland, before pleading their case to the United Nations Committee Against Torture, according to the director of the nonprofit group organizing their trip.

 Roll Eyes

Ejim Dike, executive director of the U.S. Human Rights Network, told WND that Michael Brown Sr. and Lesley McSpadden – the parents of the black teen who was killed in a confrontation in August with a white police offer in Ferguson, Missouri – will meet Nov. 11 in Geneva with the U.S. officials.

The parents, who demand the immediate arrest of Officer Darren Wilson, say their “goal is not only to achieve justice in Ferguson, but to unite governments around the world against the human rights violations that result from racial profiling and police violence.”

The officials, who also will be in Geneva to speak to the U.N. Committee Against Torture, Dike said, are from the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Education, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and the State Department.

After meeting the U.S. officials, Brown’s parents will address the 53rd Session of the United Nations Committee Against Torture, Nov. 12 and 13.

At issue is U.S. compliance with the U.N. Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, which was passed by the U.N. in 1984 and ratified by the U.S. in 1994.

The parents’ U.N. invitation is the result of a 13-page position paper written by Saint Louis University Law School assistant professor Justin Hansford with the support of  left-leaning advocacy groups, Hands Up United, the Organization for Black Struggle and Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment.

The U.N. panel, Dike told WND, realizes “the issue of gun violence and police violence especially directed at black and brown people in this country is really a grave human rights concern.”

The committee consists of so-called independent legal experts from countries such as the Republic of Georgia and communist China. The panel’s two members from the U.S. have recused themselves from hearing the case.

Hansford’s paper characterizes the Aug. 9 shooting in Ferguson as the murder by a white police officer of an innocent black youth who had his arms raised in an attempt to surrender.

However, the findings of the grand jury considering whether or not Wilson should be prosecuted have leaked out, and they indicate the officer was acting in self-defense and won’t be charged.

The U.S. already has been reviewed twice this year for alleged noncompliance with U.N. treaties on civil and political rights and the elimination of racial discrimination. The mother of Trayvon Martin, the black teen killed by a neighborhood watchman in Florida, and the father of Jordan Davis, a Florida black teen fatally shot over loud music, participated in the reviews in August.

Hansford’s position paper calls among other things for the arrest of Wilson for the alleged murder of their son, the resignation of Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson and an apology from Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon for alleged intimidation and excessive police force against those seeking to protest the Brown shooting.

The document further calls on the U.N. to demand that Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice conduct “a nationwide investigation of systematic police brutality and harassment in brown and black communities, and youth in particular.”

A website, FergusonToGeneva.com, makes available the Hansford report and accepts donations to defray the costs of the trip to Geneva.

As WND columnist Jack Cashill has noted, the leaks of grand jury findings appear to be an attempt by the Justice Department to prepare the public for the likelihood that Wilson will not be charged in Brown’s death.

An Oct. 17 New York Times story, for example, shows Wilson’s version of events inside the officer’s vehicle lines up with the forensic evidence.

As Wilson told the story, Brown reached for the gun, and it was fired twice, with one shot striking Brown on the hand. In the scuffle, Brown “punched and scratched [Wilson] repeatedly.”

Forensic tests meanwhile showed Brown’s blood on the gun, on Wilson’s clothes and on the interior door panel.

The autopsy also indicated Brown did not have his hand’s up in surrender, discrediting a crucial claim that became a central theme of protesters.

Apple doesn't fall far from tree Roll Eyes

Why Michael Brown’s Mom Could Be Charged With Felony Armed Robbery

Police are weighing felony armed robbery charges against Michael Brown’s mother after she allegedly attacked a group of people in a Ferguson, Missouri, parking lot because they were selling pro-Michael Brown T-shirts.

Police are reviewing allegations that Lesley McSpadden enlisted a group of people to beat the group selling the T-shirts and rob them of the merchandise. One person was allegedly beaten with a pipe and another victim had to be hospitalized.

McSpadden and “a large group of about 20-30 subjects” rolled up and “rushed” the vendors. One of the beating victims was reportedly McSpadden’s former mother-in-law, Pearlie Gordon.

“You can’t sell this s**t,” the mother said, acceding to the police report.

Gordon reportedly refused to back down, stating that “unless McSpadden could produce documentation stating that she had a patent on her son’s name (Gordon) was going to continue to sell her merchandise,” the report said.

Police say more than $1,500 in merchandise and $400 in cash was stolen by the suspects.

Police will decide whether or not to bring charges against McSpadden and the other suspects following a criminal investigation.
