March 27, 2024, 12:55:24 pm Mark says: Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked  When Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida began a speech marking the 100th day of the war in Gaza, one confounding yet eye-opening proclamation escaped the headlines. Listing the motives for the Palestinian militant group's Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, he accused Jews of "bringing red cows" to the Holy Land.

September 24, 2017, 10:45:16 pm Psalm 51:17 says: The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the league rulebook. It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”
September 20, 2017, 04:32:32 am Christian40 says: "The most popular Hepatitis B vaccine is nothing short of a witch’s brew including aluminum, formaldehyde, yeast, amino acids, and soy. Aluminum is a known neurotoxin that destroys cellular metabolism and function. Hundreds of studies link to the ravaging effects of aluminum. The other proteins and formaldehyde serve to activate the immune system and open up the blood-brain barrier. This is NOT a good thing."

16   Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]:
17   Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ.
Colossians 2:16-17(KJB)

I was just thinking about these 2 verses - for one, when the modern-day churchianity pastor says how it's mandatory for Christians to be in church on Sundays and Wednesdays, it just doesn't sit well with me(and I'm sure you guys feel the same).

Anyhow, when it talks about how let no man judge you in respect of an holyday, how is this interpreted? Does this mean we are all free to choose any day of worship in the week with the brethren?(ie-whether it would be Tuesday, Friday, or even Saturday)

I saw it another way. If God is real and is who He says He is, then why is some church building only occupied 2 days per week? Why is only one scheduled day considered holy? Wouldn’t He be worthy of worship ALL the time? Assuming two 3-hour time blocks per week results in a 96 percent vacancy rate for that building. Somebody pays an awful lot for utilities and possibly rent on a building that hardly gets used. And THEN I see some insane plan for a “building fund”? It’s a lame joke.

At the time of my church heyday, I really wanted to fellowship as much as possible with the people there. However, I was working rotating shifts at the time. That meant that sometimes I would arrive late for services, sometimes I would leave early, and sometimes I couldn’t attend at all. Remarkably, some church people tried to give me an earful about my tardiness instead of appreciating the fact that I showed up to begin with.

Ah, now your beginning to see the "liberty" that is in Christ...

"But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak." 1 Corinthians 8:9 (KJB)

"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another." Galatians 5:13 (KJB)
