September 24, 2017, 10:45:16 pm Psalm 51:17 says: The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the league rulebook. It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

The lunch line could start moving a lot faster in Lee County.

The school district is considering testing a new pilot program that uses a near-infrared light to scan a student's palm and vein pattern in place of the eight-digit identification numbers or ID cards currently used at the cash registers.

The district's food and nutrition services department hopes to test the program in an elementary, middle and high school before the end of this school year. After the trial period, the program could be implemented districtwide.

"Students can slow down the lunch line by miss-keying numbers, forgetting the numbers," Sonny Stelmacki, assistant director of the nutrition services department said during Tuesday's school board meeting. "We've also had issues with stolen or misused numbers."

People like things to be easy, cheap, neato, shiny, etc. Anything to make that soccer mom's day go smoother, right?

It's a sucker's bet people!  Roll Eyes

Add Georgia schools.

Here's another school district installing palm scanners, voluntary use of course. Instead, students can still use their student ID for payment, which sounds to me like it's some kind of smart card.

Georgia District Installs Palm-Scanning Technology in Cafeterias

The new palm scanners allow students to pay for meals without an ID card, expediting lunch lines.

Instead of swiping their student ID cards to pay for lunch, teenagers in the Muscogee County School District will be scanning their palms. The Georgia based district’s high schools are installing Fujitsu PalmSecure hardware and Meral Computing Services software in cafeterias ahead of the 2013-2014 school year.

“It’s a quick and easy way to help expedite the time spent in the lunch line to purchase meals and helps to ensure accurate, efficient identification of students, funds and reports,” said the district’s School Nutrition director, Marian Bone in a prepared statement.

The palm-scanning system uses the same infrared technology found in your TV remote control or in a Nintendo Wii. It takes a super high-resolution infrared photo of the users vein, which is then recorded in a digital format. As a student comes though the lunch line, they can simply scan their palm over the Fujitsu device. The vein recognition is tied to the student’s meal account. The scanning system takes 4 seconds and has a 99 percent accuracy rate.

“In the past, if a child did not have their student ID, the cashier would have to search for the student’s name and account number, which could take up to a minute or longer,” says Bone.

Students will still have the option of paying via student ID card if they don’t want to use the palm scanning system. Participation is strictly voluntary. Students who do wish to participate will enroll through the district’s new online payment system. Parents can then add money to their child’s account using their school ID number.

It seems like the word "patient" is no longer in today's dictionaries.

And this is the way they're likely going to do it - voluntary - that way acceptance to it can potentially grow over the long haul due to peer pressure and "wanting to fit in with the crowd", and not by force from the higher ups. It's a lot like how these churches went 501c3 and started using perverted bible versions - "everyone else is doing it!".

Ultimately, the bible clearly says otherwise...

Mat 5:10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

2Cor 6:17  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2Co 6:18  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Rom 8:35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Rom 8:38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
