The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. They are a popular Contemporary Christian Band that has been pretty "successful". The Charismatics/Pentecostals love this sort of music. There are many Contemporary Christian Bands out there.

Looks like these "contemporary christian" bands are invading the vacation bible schools, christian summer camps, etc this summer. At least in my neck of the woods, they are heavily advertising them.

Catholics Love CCM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq1Yi6wQUrA&feature=plcp

Why do Catholics love "Christian" rock, and yet HATE gospel tracts? Why are some of the biggest "Christian" rock musicians loved and praised by Catholics, while street-preaching, Bible-believing Christians are attacked and accused of "hate speech"?

I am always grieved in my heart when I see these What We Believe Statements with all the "basic" elements of how we receive salvation by simply "believing" in Jesus -- but the BLOOD SHED ON THE CROSS for REMISSION of sin is left out. Makes it pretty clear this is what demonic powers quake at. Those in the Tribulation overcome by the Blood of the Lamb!

 Matthew 26:28 KJV
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Romans 3:23-25 KJV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

 Colossians 1:12-14 KJV
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

 Hebrews 10:14-19 KJV
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

 Ephesians 1:7 KJV
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

 Hebrews 10:29 KJV
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Zschech, Darlene, and Hillsong

Darlene Zschech (pronounced check) is a prominent voice in
the Contemporary Worship movement. For 25 years she was
“worship pastor” at Hills Christian Life Centre, Sydney,
Australia, and has published many popular worship albums
under the Hillsong Music label. She is also associated with
Integrity Music and the Hosanna label. In 2010, Darlene and
her husband became the senior pastors of Hope Unlimited
Church, another Pentecostal church in Australia, but she
continues to be involved in music projects with Hillsong.

The co-pastors of Hills Christian Life Centre, under whom
Zschech ministered, are Brian Houston and his wife, Bobbie.
The church features a large rock band with five back-up
singers and a Word-Faith prosperity message. In 2002, the
church took in $10 million in tithes alone, not to speak of the
sale of music and materials. Brian Houston’s book “You
Need More Money” teaches the way to prosperity through
giving and “kingdom living.” Houston says, “If you believe
in Jesus, He will reward you here as well [as in
Heaven]” (“The Lord's Profits,” Sydney Morning Herald,
January 30, 2003). His wife and co-pastor Bobbie published
a tape set entitled “Kingdom Women Love Sex,” which
doubtless was a top seller. (When I inquired about it at the
Hills Christian Life Centre bookstore in October 2004, I
learned that the name had been changed to “Kingdom
Women Love & Value Their Sexuality.”)

When asked by a Sydney Morning Herald reporter why the
church is so successful, Brian Houston replied, “We are
scratching people where they are itching” (“The Lord's
Profits,” Sydney Morning Herald, January 30, 2003). That is
right out of 2 Timothy 4:3, which is a warning of apostasy. It
describes people who itch for a new kind of Christianity and
heaps of preachers who will scratch this illicit itch. “For the
time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears.”

Zschech’s song “Shout to the Lord” is used widely in
contemporary worship circles. The album by that title
remained No. 1 on “praise and worship charts” for over 30
weeks. It won Song of the Year at the Dove Awards in 1998.
It has been estimated that it is sung by 30 million Christians
around the world, and it has been sung even at fundamental
Baptist churches.

One of Zschech’s themes is the importance of ecumenical
unity. For example, she makes the following comment about
the album “You Shine”: “There is a new sound and a new
song being proclaimed across the earth. It’s the sound of a
unified church, coming together, in one voice to magnify our
magnificent Lord” (from the album cover).

She gives no warning about the fact that vast numbers of
churches are apostate and that the Bible says that unity apart
from doctrinal purity is wrong. The New Testament warns
repeatedly that the end of the church age will be
characterized by apostasy and spiritual confusion rather than
faithfulness to the truth (i.e. Mat. 24:3-4, 11, 24; 1 Tim.
4:1-5; 2 Tim. 3:13; 4:3-4; 2 Pet. 2:1; Jude 3-4). That is
precisely what we see when we look at Christianity today.
Yet, the authors of contemporary praise music typically give
no warning about apostasy.

In an interview with Christian Leader magazine, March-
April 2002, Zschech said she had a vision about the
importance of unity:

Q. What do you envision for the future of the contemporary
worship movement?

Zschech: You know, I had this vision a few years ago of how
God saw the worshippers and worship leaders, linked arm
and arm – the “musos,” the production personnel and
everybody that is involved in the worship of God. There
were no celebrities out in front. We were all together in the
line just walking together. It was how I imagined God’s heart
for what we are doing. We were all in line, and we were
slow, but we were all walking around and we weren’t leaving
anyone behind. We were taking everyone with us. But then I
saw a picture of what it is like now, and although we were
arm in arm, there was a struggle going on. People were
running forward in pride while others were shrinking back
out of insecurity. There was very little movement because of
disunity. I think that means we’ve got to become strong
people so that we can stand strong together. God says he
will bless us, and when God says “blessing” it’s an out-ofcontrol
blessing, but that only comes when we are bound
together.

This is a vision of her own heart, because it is contrary to the
Scriptures. The New Testament nowhere says that God’s
blessing is out of control or that it only comes when
professing Christians are “bound together.” To the contrary,
the Bible says God’s blessing is always under control, always
orderly, never confused. “For God is not the author of
confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints” (1
Cor. 14:33). “Let all things be done decently and in order” (1
Cor. 14:39). Paul instructed Timothy to allow “no other
doctrine” (1 Tim. 1:3). That is an extremely “narrow” and
very strict approach to doctrinal purity, but it is the Word of
God and we are to follow it until Christ returns.

This strict biblical attitude about doctrine is 180 degrees
contrary to the philosophy of the movers and shakers of the
contemporary praise movement. They teach that the Holy
Spirit cannot be “put in a box,” meaning we cannot be sure
how He will act and that He might create disorder and
confusion. They teach, in practice, that doctrine is less
important than unity. They teach that women can be leaders.
These things are in open and direct rebellion to God’s Word.

Zschech participated in Harvest ’03 in Newcastle, NSW. The
ecumenical rock concert, which featured U.S.-based
evangelist Greg Laurie of Harvest Ministries, brought
together a hodgepodge of churches, including Presbyterian,
Assemblies of God, Anglican, Seventh-day Adventist,
Church of Christ, and Roman Catholic (“Hunter Harvest --
Rock Evangelism,” http://members.ozemail.com.au/
~rseaborn/rock_evangelism.html). A participating
Assemblies of God pastor stated, “THE BRIDGE
BUILDING GOING ON BETWEEN CHURCHES HAS
BEEN AWESOME.” In reality, it was spiritual confusion and
gross disobedience to the Holy Scriptures (i.e., Mat. 7:15;
Rom. 16:17; 2 Cor. 6:14-18; 2 Tim. 2:16-17; 3:5; 4:3-4; etc.).
The Word of God commands us to earnestly contend for the
faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3), yet the
aforementioned denominations hold dozens of heretical
doctrines that are contrary to that faith, including the false
gospels of baptismal regeneration and sacramentalism, both
of which are under God’s curse in Galatians 1.

In a 2004 interview with Christianity Today, Zschech
expressed her radical ecumenical philosophy: “I’ve been in
the Catholic Church, in the United Church, the Anglican
Church, and in many other churches, and when worship is
offered in truth, this sound emerges-regardless of the style.
It’s the sound of the human heart connecting with its
Maker” (quoted by Michael Herman, “Zschech, Please,”
christianitytoday.com, June 4, 2004).

She doesn’t explain how worship can be “in truth” in the
context of an ecumenical unity among denominations that
teach doctrinal error.

Zschech and Hillsong performed for the Roman Catholic
World Youth Day in Sydney on July 18, 2008. Pope Benedict
XVI was present and conducted a papal mass on the last day
of the extravaganza. The mass is a supposed continuation of
Christ’s sacrifice. The consecrated host is said by Rome to
become Christ Himself and is worshiped as such when
placed in the monstrance and eventually in its own little
tabernacle. Hillsong, led by Darlene Zschech, performed
after the Stations of the Cross. The 14 Stations allegedly
depict Christ’s trial and crucifixion; but--beyond the fact that
this is not faith but sight and the pictures of Jesus are
fictional and are forbidden by Scripture--several of the
Stations are purely legendary. Jesus supposedly falls down
three times, meets Mary on the way to the cross, has His face
wiped by a woman named Veronica, and is taken down from
the cross and laid in Mary’s arms. None of this is supported
by Scripture. The pope promised a plenary indulgence to
anyone who participated in World Youth Day. This is the
forgiveness of the temporal penalty (referring to a penalty
owed either on earth or in purgatory) due for certain sins. It
is the same vile heresy that Martin Luther protested 500
years ago.

Phil Dooley, youth leader at Hillsong, had only positive
comments when interviewed in regard to the Catholic World
Youth Day. Dooley was interviewed by The World Today, a
news program aired daily on the Australian Broadcasting
Network, when it was announced that the pope was
scheduled to attend the event. Dooley said: “I think anything
that is encouraging young people in their spirituality, and I
suppose putting Jesus up there in our state and in our city is a
positive thing. Look, I think just generally in church life
you’ve got to be relevant to each generation, and I think any
church is understanding that if we want to … if our message
is going to be accepted by the new generation then we’ve got
to relate to them in a way that they understand” (“Catholic
Youth to Congregate in Sydney for 2008 Festival,” The
World Today, Aug. 22, 2005). It is unconscionable to have
such an opportunity and not use it to warn that the Roman
Catholic Church preaches a false gospel. John warned: “If
there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive
him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he
that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds” (2
John 10-11). To pretend that the Roman Catholic Church’s
“spirituality” is acceptable before God and that its Jesus is
the Jesus of the Bible is to be partaker of its evil deeds.

There is also the false Pentecostal latter rain theology in
some of the Hillsong music.

“I believe the promise about the visions and the dreams/
That the Holy Spirit will be poured out/ And His power will be
seen/ Well the time is now/ The place is here/ And His
people have come in faith/ There’s a mighty sound/ And a
touch of fire/ When we’ve gathered in one place” (“I Believe
the Presence” from Shout to the Lord).

The lyrics to Zschech’s “Holy Spirit Rain Down” begin:
“Holy Spirit, rain down, rain down/ Oh, Comforter and
Friend/ How we need Your touch again/ Holy Spirit, rain
down, rain down.” Where in Scripture are we instructed to
pray to the Holy Spirit? To the contrary, the Lord Jesus
Christ taught us to pray to the Father (Mat. 6:9). The
charismatic movement is not in submission to the Word of
God and does not care one way or the other that there is no
Scriptural support for this type of prayer.

In an interview with CCM.com in October 2003 (“20 Things
You Probably Don’t Know about Darlene Zschech” by
Christa Farris), Zschech said that she is “a bit of a hippie at
heart” and described herself as “hopelessly devoted” to rock
star Olivia Newton-John. She said that her favorite movie is
“anything with Julia Roberts in it.” (Roberts became a super
star by playing the role of a prostitute in “Pretty Woman.”)
Zschech said the three people she would most like to meet
are Billy Graham, Bono of the rock band U2, and Mother
Teresa. She said that her teenage daughter’s favorite music
includes the secular rock band Coldplay. The band’s song
“We Never Change” has the lyrics “Oh I don't have a soul to
save, Yes, and I sin every single day...”

In one of her books Zschech said: “I once watched Sting in
concert (he was absolutely incredible!). So much gift for one
human being! Thoughts raced through my head, ‘My
goodness, Sting, you are like king David, full of psalms,
melodies and music, and you sing as if you don’t even know
that His hand is upon you. You are so close to the heart of
God. You are a master poet, full of love, and your capabilities
are not because of your own natural abilities, you have
tapped into the source of your Creator’” (Zschech, The Kiss
of Heaven, 2003).

To liken a filthy rock singer to the “sweet Psalmist of Israel”
or to say that a rock singer has tapped into the source of his
Creator is pure nonsense. The Bible says the devil is the god
of this world and the unsaved walk not according to the God
of the Bible but “according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that
now worketh in the children of disobedience” (Eph. 2:2).
Instead of telling her readers that she went to a String concert
and loved it and leaving them with the idea that it is fine for
a born again child of God to attend filthy rock concerts, she
should have repented and apologized for disobeying God’s
Word, which says, “And have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Eph.
5:11). This is yet another example of what we have often
warned about, that Contemporary Christian Music is a bridge
to the world.

My friends, contemporary praise music does not exist in a
spiritual vacuum. These are days of great spiritual deception
and apostasy, and central to that apostasy is the charismatic
movement.

Its visions are false; its prophecies fail; its healings can only
on the rarest of occasions be authenticated; its doctrine is
corrupt; its practice is confusion and disorder. It is one of the
major elements of the ecumenical movement of these
apostate end times. Through mysticism and sensual music it
aligns Roman Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, and
Pentecostals in an unholy union of truth and error.

Fundamental Baptists and Bible-believing churches that use
charismatic contemporary praise music will find that this
music brings with it a philosophy that will soon change the
character of any fundamentalist church.

We need to worship the Lord God in spirit and in truth
continually, but we do not need the unscriptural
contemporary worship movement as our guide.

We do not doubt that Darlene Zschech is sincere in her work
or that she truly desires to worship God, but she and her
fellow charismatic praise leaders simply do not know what
they are doing. They are the blind leading the blind.

From the free online book: I do recommend this book

Directory of Contemporary Worship Musicians

by David W. Cloud

ISBN 978-1-58318-131-7. This directory contains information on influential contemporary worship musicians who are creating the music that is being used ever more frequently by fundamentalist and very conservative evangelical churches. All of them are radically ecumenical and the vast majority are charismatic in theology. To our knowledge, not one of them takes a clear stand against end-time apostasy. All are enemies of a separatist Biblicist stance. Contemporary worship music is a dangerous bridge both to the world and to the "broader church" with all of its ancient and end-time heresies, and the Directory of Contemporary Praise Musicians contains more documentation of this than has ever before been gathered into one volume, to our knowledge. The Directory documents the history of contemporary praise music from its inception in the Jesus People movement and its intimate association with the charismatic movement in general as well as with its most radical aspect, the "latter rain apostolic miracle revival." (See, for example, the following reports in the Directory: "Calvary Chapel," "Lindell Cooley," "Tim Hughes," "Integrity Music," "Kevin Prosch," "David Ruis," "Michael W. Smith," "John Talbot," and "John Wimber.") The documentation contained in the Directory proves that Contemporary Christian Music is a jungle of end-time apostasy and that it is controlled by "another spirit" (2 Cor. 11:4). The music itself feeds the charismatic-ecumenical mystical experience. The sensual pulsing, skipping, tripping, body-jerking syncopated dance rhythms, the electronic modulation, the reverb and echo and feedback, the unresolving chord sequences, the pounding drums, the sensual vocal styles, the dramatic rise and fall of the sound level, and the repetition create an atmosphere in which charismatic seekers experience an emotional high, are hypnotized to receive an unscriptural message, and are prepared for "signs and wonders" phenomena. Whatever is operating in the charismatic-ecumenical movement, it is definitely "another spirit" (2 Corinthians 11:4) when tested Scripturally, and contemporary praise music is that spirit's vehicle.

Been reading about this in Cloud's e-books recently - yeah, CCM has been really subtle. It's not like they started out with this loud heavy metal, in your face kind of stuff. They would start out with something that "seems harmless"(ie-"soft" rock), and would end up getting a rather positive reaction from the pews b/c of just that, and right under everyone's noses, would end up getting worse from there.

There's just no discernment in the pews today concerning this - at my church, most of the pews seem to be older folks. However, both of the youth ministers are under 30, and have brought in this CCM stuff. One time they played a demo of a preview of Vacation Bible School to everyone during the Sunday service, and 90-95% of the pews just reacted with INDIFFERENCE(including the pastor). No, it wasn't like they had this "We don't like it, but we have to bear with it" attitude either. They just looked at it and reacted "Whatever...".

And this seems to be interconnected b/w the Roman Catholic Church, Charismatic Pentacostals, New Age Movement, secular rock music, etc.

The church has been literally lulled to sleep and hammered with secular thought to where they are TOLERANT. That's EXACTLY how all the people were lured into Rick Warren's coven. He had about 15 "tents" (made of metal Jewish-style ) and you could "worship" to any style music for the first 30 to 45 mins before Rick was piped into your "tent" for his blinding "sermon." No kidding - there was heavy metal, rave, country, rap - every worldly thing - including dancing (and NOT LIKE KING DAVID's heart was!)

It is clear - the Apostasy is going to use INTOLERANCE to now equate HATE - which will be punishable by their "cleansing" new laws. The LORD Jesus help the people who realize the door has been shut!!!!!! Have mercy dear Father! Wake them up.

Just one more note - the MTV Music Awards  - just watch (after THOROUGH warfare/covering with the blood of Jesus) and you WILL SEE AND HEAR that the MAN OF PERDITION is HERALDING HIS REIN. Even the messages in EVERY SINGLE COMMERCIAL are IN YOUR FACE - mocking the NEEDS every man on earth is now going to have and the FEAR that is coming to CONTROL them. Every sponsor is CLEARLY of evil.

I hope everyone will educate themselves about Mr. **** of PROCTOR AND **** and his part in all the funding of the entertainers and poison products.

Father SEND JESUS to us QUICKLY!!

When I first read his Purpose Driven Life a few years ago, I had no idea he was a false prophet. However, having read alot of books on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder by secular psychologists and psychiatrists, couldn't tell you how many times I was like "Now where did I read that before?" while reading through PDL. Yeah, numerous times it felt like Warren embraced Carl Jungian philosophies alot like the typical psychologist would put at the forefront. But again, I didn't think much of it the time although I found it odd. But OTOH, I wasn't grounded well in scripture as I was putting books by authors in the forefront.

Yeah, I believe it was this forum when I first learned about the deceptions of CCM/Christian Rock(or it may have been another end times forum a few months prior). Not once have I ever heard any pastor, sunday school teacher, deacon, etc at any church call out its wickedness, or even say 1-2 words about it. Pretty much they all thought Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, et al were true to the blue men/women of God.

Yes, something like this can affect you spiritually, BIG TIME.

Hillsong

See “Darlene Zschech.”

Homosexuality and CCM

In the Gospel Sound, which &rst appeared in 1971,
Anthony Heilbut said, “ The gospel church has long been a
refuge for gays and lesbians, some of whom grew up to be
among the greatest singers and musicians.”

Douglas Harrison, a homosexual who grew up Southern
Baptist, said, “... you can’t swing a Dove Award without
hitting upon evidence of the longstanding, deep-set presence
of queer experience in, and its influence on, Christian music
culture at all levels” (“Come Out from among Them,” Religion
Dispatches, April 30, 2010).

In 1998, CCM st ar Kirk Franklin said that
“homosexuality ... is a problem today in gospel music--a
MAJOR CONCERN--and everybody knows it” (Church Boy,
pp. 49, 50).

James Cleveland, who has been called the “King of Gospel,”
was a homosexual who died of AIDS.

Other homosexual CCM artists are Anthony Williams,
Marshal Stevens, Kirk Talley, Clay Aiken, Ray Boltz, and
Jennifer Knapp.

In June 2013 Sandi Patty is scheduled to performed with
the homosexual Turtle Creek Chorale at the Meyerson
Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas. In July 2012 the Chorale
attended the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses
(GALA) in Denver (“Turtle Creek Chorale’s 2012-2013
Season,” Turtlecreek.org).

The reason for this is not difficult to discern. Typically,
CCM musicians have been accepted as Christians upon the
flimsiest testimony of faith and have not been properly taught
and discipled. They have fed their spiritual lives with a
constant diet of sensual music and have sought after
emotional highs and “signs and wonders” instead of living by
faith. They have played with the world, which is more
dangerous than any poisonous snake, instead of living
separated lives.

And a lot of this heavy metal CCM is being put in these Vacation Bible School materials - videos on YT have shown how kids just started acting hyper when they heard this stuff.

Personally(and I'm sure it's that way with you all here as well) - it really vexes me when I'm in a church building setting, and when they play this CCM stuff, almost no one in the pews do anything. No, they're not being "enduring" or "patient", per se - they just are INDIFFERENT and lack discernment.

Their stated mission is to “empower a generation to win a generation”.

They may have produced some songs of intensity, and dedication over their short history to bring to a new group of young people a glimpse of God. They may have begun in sincerity, and with a zeal for God, but in the last few years they have quickly pushed through all plausible barriers of legitimate Christian worship, and have the rest of the church careering down a cliff of musical genres – hard rock, heavy rock, metal, thrashing Guitars, and club mix. They have become a mild softer version of Stryper.

This group of young people have produced their own personal Jesus.

The methodology of the modern Church, has raised up a new breed of demigods, young people still caught up in the idolatries of the media, and music worlds, who have come from obscurity into stardom, on the back of today’s Christian music. Gone are the days of not putting novices in places of leadership and responsibility. A young convert no longer wants to follow Christ, “The cross before me, the world behind me”, but coverts the place of the Christian Rock Star

Planetshakers  recent songs, “Jump around”, “Get Up”, and “Dance now”, “Boom” have all the hallmarks of Bon Jovi, Metallica, Guns ‘n Roses, AC/DC, and  Nirvana, the modern equivalent  of groups – We are Kings, Friday Night Boys, and The Downtown Fiction, all Pop Punk, Alternative Rock, and Power Pop bands .Their performances are now fully fledged concerts with all the equipment –  LED panels, Light show, smoke, and guitars, amps, keyboard, and drums. These stage sets cost thousands of dollars.

Pretty much the same agenda when they started this whole Sunday School movement in the 1800's toward the youth.

Now it seems like even the adults/elderly have no qualms with this CCM nonsense - some of the comments I hear from them is, "But we have to be sensitive and show empathy toward them b/c they grew up with this music", etc, etc.

Uhm...I don't recall either Jesus Christ nor the Apostles "being sensitive" toward the Pharisees and harlots in scripture.

1Cor 5:6  Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Co 5:7  Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Co 5:8  Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
1Co 5:9  I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
1Co 5:10  Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
1Co 5:11  But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Yeah, the thing they miss is that scripture tells us about not keeping company with fornicators, etc of course, but that's limited, as it says "then must ye needs go out of the world". The real separation is from those who claim to be brethren and are still acting up not being Christian. THOSE people we really need to separate from.

As it says, "...if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator...with such an one no not to eat".

Brian Houston: “the Muslim and you, we actually serve the same God”

Hillsong is famous all around the Christian world for their worship music. But what god does Hillsong worship? What god do they serve? Does your church sing Hillsong music? Do you find the songs generally vague and lacking scriptural substance in contrast to hymns?

Well brace yourself. Brian Houston believes that Christians and Muslims serve the same God. Watch him say it yourself:

“How do you view God? In a desert there’s two types of birds: there’s vultures and there’s hummingbirds. One lives off dead carcasses, rotting meat. The other lives off the beautiful, sweet nectar in a particular flower on a particular desert plant. In the same desert, they both find what they’re looking for.

Do you know – take it all the way back into the Old Testament and the Muslim and you, we actually serve the same God. Allah to a Muslim, to us Abba Father God. And of course through history, those views have changed greatly. But lets make sure that we view God through the eyes of Jesus, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the beauty of a Saviour, the loving open inclusive arms of a loving God. And that way we’ll lead out of that and you’ll be purposeful about your leadership and you’ll draw people just like the Lord Jesus always does through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

FYI - the seeds for this "Christians and Muslims worship the same god" have been planted for quite some time now(since maybe the 80's or 90's) - while pastors and other "Christian" leaders didn't say it explicitly, they would have this woeful misunderstanding of that passage in Genesis b/w Isaac and Ishmael...thinking b/c both were the sons of Abraham(this part is true, of course), and somehow Ishmael is tied to Islam b/c of this...

Genesis 16:12  And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

So therefore Christianity and Islam is somehow under the same umbrella. And let's not forget too how the Apostate church embraces replacement theology(which has lead to this too).

So ultimately, no marvel that in our present day, we see these wicked Emergent Church leaders and CCM people explicitly declaring this.

Hillsong United Church Steeped In Illuminati And New Age Symbolism

Exposing the Devil’s counterfeit church

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Ephesian 5:11

Everywhere you look today in the entertainment industry, you see signs and symbols belong to the New Age movement and the Illuminati. Some of the most-influential and best-selling recording artists like Jay-Z, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and others promote a constant push of Illuminati and Satanic symbols. The 2014 Grammy Awards Show displayed open witchcraft.

Now this is becoming apparent within the walls of the professing Christian church as well.

Hillsong United Church, located in Australia, cranks out a rock-n-roll show on a par with anything the world has other offer. They feature Heavy Metal crunching guitar riffs, fantastic explosions of light and sound like you were at a Lady Gaga concert, and proudly displayed center stage is the Illuminati pyramid that Beyonce is so fond of. When asked about the use of this major Illuminati symbol, they said that they were “inspired by Mount Zion” in the bible. Yeah, right.

The bible calls us to be separate, not be not like the world but to be like Jesus Christ. Hillsong has millions of fans and follower all over the world, not because they preach the Gospel, but because they offer up Satan’s counterfeit of what the Church of Jesus Christ is supposed to be all about. Look at this video clip of one of their concert “church services”, and you tell me where you see Jesus in any of that unholy mess.

The doctrine preached at Hillsong is not the doctrine of the bible, and if you are a Christian saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, you should have no part of these workers of darkness.

Hillsong United is part of the demonic Emergent Church Movement, and it is deadly spiritual poison wrapped in the candy-coated wrapper of the world’s entertainment.

Yeah, pretty much if you walk into any church building today - at bare minimum, you'll see occult symbols on their Sunday morning programs - pretty much the secretaries put them there(so it's not like they're luciferians themselves). But nonetheless it just shows how deeply infiltrated these Babel church buildings are.

Hillsong Takes Over Times Square with Jesus Message

Last month, instead of news reports, ads or market results, the digital screens in New York City’s Times Square were taken over by the words “Jesus” and “No Other Name.”

The videos were part of a promotion from Hillsong about their upcoming album and the church’s 2014 conference. The event kicked off on April 24 on 21 of the digital screens in Times Square.

"Times Square — one of the most iconic locations on earth — is a place where so many names scream for fame," said Jay Argaet, Hillsong’s art and communications director. "The most powerful brands, biggest shows and famous celebrities ... every name wants to be the greatest! Perhaps this would be the most powerful way to remind the world his name trumps them all."

About 400 Hillsong volunteers helped with the Times Square promotion.

"It was shocking-in a good way-to see the name of Jesus proclaimed so brightly in the center of the world's largest, most chaotic city," NYC resident Julie McCoughy told the Gospel Herald. "It's an encouraging reminder for Christians and a great witness for unbelievers."

Hillsong’s annual conference is slated for Sydney, London and New York City. The church’s album is set to release July 1.

Times Square sees an average of 360,000 pedestrians daily.

Hillsong Founder Denies Covering Up Father's Sex Abuse

Days ahead of an annual conference in New York’s Madison Square Garden, the founder of the Hillsong music and church empire is facing strict scrutiny for what he knew about sex abuse allegations lodged against his father.

Hillsong is an Australian megachurch that has exported its influence to major global cities and into churches’ music across the U.S.

In 1999, Brian Houston’s father, Frank Houston, who was also a minister, confessed to sexually abusing an underage male at his New Zealand congregation 30 years before. In response, the younger Houston, who was then president of the Assemblies of God in Australia, fired his father, took control of the church and merged it with Hillsong.

The elder Houston died in 2004.

On Thursday and Friday (Oct. 9-10), the son took the witness stand in Sydney and denied any attempt to cover up the allegations. Next week, Brian Houston will be in New York City for the church’s conference, at Madison Square Garden.

In his testimony, Brian Houston denied trying to hide his involvement in a $10,000 compensation payment made to a man who was abused as a child by his father.

“I acknowledge the courage of the victim in taking the stand today to outline the trauma he has suffered by Frank Houston,” Brian Houston said in a statement. “However I disagree with his perception of the phone call with me, and I strongly refute that I — at any time — accused him of tempting my father. I would never say this and I do not believe this. At no stage did I attempt to hide or cover up the allegations against my father.”

Through what’s called a royal commission, the Australian government is scrutinizing how institutions — including the Pentecostal church network that gave birth to Hillsong – have handled sex abuse claims. A royal commission is Australia’s highest level of inquiry.

Frank Houston never faced prosecution for crimes committed in the 1960s and 1970s. The Assemblies of God in Australia allowed Houston to resign quietly with a retirement package.

“We believe that exposing child sexual abuse and the response of institutions to that abuse, and allowing survivors to share their traumatic experiences, is a powerful step in the healing process,” Brian Houston said in a statement. “Having to face the fact that my father engaged in such repulsive acts was — and still is — agonizing.”

Hillsong congregants, based in western Sydney, gave him a standing ovation after he delivered his sermon on Sunday (Oct. 12) addressing his father’s sexual abuse.

“They have done the journey with us so there’d be very few people (at Hillsong) with any surprises. I’ve never hidden it from the church,” he told Australia’s “Today” show.

Brian Houston told the commission he first became aware of the abuse allegations in 1999, but learned in 2000 there were additional claims involving six boys in New Zealand. He said there may be more victims who have not yet come forward.

The 30-year-old Hillsong multisite church based in the outskirts of Sydney mixes Christian rock, charismatic energy and Australian accents in shaping Christian churches in major cities across the globe. Hillsong’s ubiquitous praise songs like “Shout to the Lord” can be found in many U.S. churches on any given Sunday.

More than 50,000 people attend Hillsong offshoots in London; Cape Town, South Africa; Paris; Kiev, Ukraine; Stockholm; Amsterdam; Barcelona, Spain; Copenhagen, Denmark; New York and most recently Los Angeles. Its American congregations received front-page attention in The New York Times last month.

Brian Houston: Hillsong Won't Take Public Stand on LGBT Issues

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary president Albert Mohler declared from his blog in June, "There is no third way on [same-sex issues]."

But Brian Houston, pastor of Hillsong Church, a global family of congregations comprising more than 30,000 weekly attendees and millions of worship-music album sales, apparently disagrees with Mohler. At least for now.

At a news conference for the Hillsong Conference in New York City Thursday, Michael Paulson of The New York Times asked Houston to clarify his church's position on same-sex marriage. But Houston would not offer a definitive answer, instead saying that it was "an ongoing conversation" among church leaders, and they were "on the journey with it."

Houston says that he considers three things when evaluating the topic: "There's the world we live in, there's the weight we live with, and there's the Word we live by."

He notes that the Western world is shifting its thinking on this issue, and churches are struggling to stay relevant. The weight we live in, he added, refers to a context in which LGBT young people may feel rejected or shunned by churches, often leading to depression and suicide. But when Houston began speaking about the word we live by or "what the Bible says," he refused to offer a concrete position.

(Click here for the unofficial transcript of Houston's full answer.)
http://jonathanmerritt.religionnews.com/2014/10/16/transcript-hillsongs-brian-houston-sex-issues/

"It would be much easier if you could feel like all of those three just easily lined up. But they don't necessarily." Houston said. "The real issues in people's lives are too important for us to just reduce it down to a 'yes' or 'no' answer in a media outlet."

Carl Lentz, pastor of Hillsong's New York City location, made similar statements on CNN in June, saying Hillsong in New York City has "a lot of gay men and women" and he hopes it stays that way. But he declines to address the matter in public because, in part, Jesus never did.

"Jesus was in the thick of an era where homosexuality, just like it is today, was widely prevalent," Lentz told CNN. "And I'm still waiting for someone to show me the quote where Jesus addressed it on the record in front of people.  You won't find it, because He never did."

Lentz's wife, Laura, chimed in: "It's not our place to tell anyone how they should live. That's their journey."

No doubt Mohler and other conservative evangelicals will find such answers disconcerting if not downright dangerous to what they believe is the biblical position. If the leaders of Hillsong, one of the most influential evangelical ministry conglomerates in the world, refuse to draw lines on these issues, it could influence other churches and pastors to reconsider their own positions.

And that is why this issue has become a litmus test for many on the left and right. Because in a moment when so much is at stake, a non-statement statement is, well, quite a statement.

However, with that being said - look how corrupted and defiled his wife and daughters were. His wife had Sodom and Gomorrah in her heart until her very death(when she looked back and turned into a pillar of salt). After the Lord rescued them, Lot's daughters got him drunk and fornicated with him.

I'm NOT saying Houston is some saved man(I don't think he is) - but nonetheless look at the state of Apostate Churchianity today - parents(while some of them truely saved) are not training their children up in biblical principles(nor in the KJB for that matter too). Look how messed up pastors' children are.(ie-crossed paths with all of mine that are such) And look how many professing Christians are going out into the heathen world to find spouses.

No, I'm not trying to knock on Lot - but when you think about it for a sec, he really didn't go out and do much witnessing to others, nor did he run his household well. And he chose Sodom b/c of the lust of his eyes.

REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE - throughout my years in these Churchianity circles, they would overly emphasize Lot being a righteous man. That is all and good, but they would GROSSLY ignore this very warning of "Remember Lot's wife" in scripture. And come to think of it too - Lot's wife's name isn't even mentioned in scripture(while every other prophet et al's wives are).
