The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Ashley Judd To Fundraise For Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz

Actress Ashley Judd is a vocal supporter of the Planned Parenthood abortion business and that support is continuing, as she has signed on to headline a fundraiser for the Indianapolis affiliate of the abortion giant in December.

“She has been a pretty high-profile advocate for women’s rights and humanitarian efforts across the globe,” said Jon Mills, spokesman for Planned Parenthood, told the Indianapolis Star newspaper.

As the paper noted:

Planned Parenthood officials said that Judd’s name came to the top of the list of possible speakers, which included actress Susan Sarandon, during a meeting.

“Everybody really liked Ashley,” Mills said.

As an advance thank-you gift, Mills said they are putting together a care package, which includes a book on the history of the organization, another book, “Indianapolis Then and Now,” and possibly a gift certificate from Hollyhock Hill, one of Judd’s favorite Indy eateries.

Ashley Judd is no stranger to aggressively promoting the organization that destroys the lives of more unborn children than any other. She joined many of her Hollywood friends in 2004 to headline a pro-abortion march in Washington along with other celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Lisa Loeb, Christina Aguilera, Lisa Loeb, Ellen DeGeneres, Emme, Cindy Crawford, and Jane Fonda.

Two-time Emmy winner Patricia Heaton, the prolife star of the hit comedy series “Everybody Loves Raymond” talked years ago about why she wouldn’t join her friends at such a pro-abortion event.

“Many of the celebrities on the list are my friends,” Heaton explained, “but when it comes to championing abortion, we go our separate ways.”

“I find it impossible to subscribe to a philosophy that believes that the destruction of human life is a legitimate solution to a problem that is mostly social, economic and psychological,” said Heaton. “In reality, most women ‘choose’ abortion because they believe they have no other choice.”

“Women who experience unplanned pregnancy also deserve unplanned joy,” said Heaton, who believes abortion is evidence that society has failed to meet the real needs of women.

Way back in the 90's when I kept up with movies and entertainment, and read all the rag entertainment magazines, I remember an interview she gave with one of them where she said "I carry my bible everywhere I go"(para). I was under the impression at the time that she was a conservative, Republican evangelical(or whatever you want to call them), especially with her southern heritage.

Isa_29:13  Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Didn't she convert to being a Christian? Wasn't that the reason why she and globalist Ted Turner divorced? Now somehow she oozed her way to this activism Huh

Ah no, Patricia. While your pro-life views are GREAT, HOWEVER...

Jas 4:4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

There's no ifs, ands, or buts around this...

Well, they use to! Her career has been on the ropes for years now. What a sorry excuse for a human.

Ashley Judd, future senator?

11/9/12
Ashley Judd, an actress and philanthropist (AIDS prevention, reproductive health), would not rule out a future campaign against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on Friday.

The Louisville Courier-Journal reported Judd is eying McConnell's Senate seat, which is up for grabs in 2014. Judd campaigned for President Barack Obama in 2012 and, in 2008, she appeared in an environmental ad campaign for the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, in which she was critical of Sarah Palin's position on wildlife protection in Alaska.

College basketball fans will also recognize Judd, who has starred in films including "Double Jeopardy" and "Kiss the Girls," as a ubiquitous presence at men's basketball games at her alma mater, the University of Kentucky.

McConnell, who's been instrumental in upholding the Senate GOP's opposition to Obama's health care overhaul, has long been the scourge of Democrats. During negotiations for financial regulatory reform, he kept his party united in opposition until Republican Sens. Scott Brown and Olympia Snowe, who are leaving the chamber next year, and Susan Collins all crossed party lines to push the Dodd-Frank financial regulation bill to Obama's desk in 2010.

McConnell won re-election by 6 points in a closely fought race in 2008. He is married to Elaine Chao, who was George W. Bush's labor secretary for two terms, and the Washington power couple are prolific fundraisers for conservative candidates and causes. In 2008, McConnell's campaign outspent Democrat Bruce Lunsford by about $10 million.

After his re-election, McConnell had pledged to make Obama a one-term president, which became a rallying cry for embattled Democrats on the campaign trail.

McConnell is Kentucky's longest-serving senator in state history. He won his first race by 5,200 ballots, or 0.4 percent of all ballots cast, in 1984. Roger Ailes, president of Fox News, worked on the '84 campaign.

Kentucky hasn't had a Democratic senator since Wendell H. Ford retired in 1999 after a 24-year Senate career. Kentucky has voted for national Republican candidates every four years since Bill Clinton won the state and a second term in 1996.

Yet another sideshow to distract from the real issues going on(ie-Sandy Hook/gun control, global economic meltdown going on, etc).

http://news.yahoo.com/republicans-launch-preemptive-attack-ad-actress-ashley-judd-200912953.html

Republicans launch preemptive attack ad on actress Ashley Judd

NASHVILLE, Tenn (Reuters) - Republicans launched a political ad in Kentucky this week attacking actress Ashley Judd as a "Hollywood liberal" even though she has not yet decided to run for the Senate.

The ad, backed by Republican strategist Karl Rove, prompted Judd to respond that she was grateful for the attention as she mulls a run against Republican U.S. Senate leader Mitch McConnell in the 2014 Kentucky race.

"Ashley thanks Senator McConnell, Karl Rove and their negative allies for all the attention as she considers her future political plans, although a decision hasn't been made yet," according to a statement from a Judd spokesman.

Rove launched a Kentucky-targeted You Tube video advertisement this week that suggests the actress does not fit the conservative culture of the state. Rove said on Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor" Thursday night that "this is just the opening ad" and there will be more to come.

Rove's American Crossroads group declined a Reuters request for comment.

In the ad, a narrator calls Judd a "Hollywood liberal" and clips show her speaking out for President Barack Obama's health reform law, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

The commercial also notes that Judd is not a Kentucky resident. She lives in Leiper's Fork, a rural area favored by country music stars about 15 miles southwest of Nashville, Tennessee. Her neighbors include her mother and sister, country music luminaries Naomi and Wynonna Judd.

The mocking tone of the commercial concludes with the line: "Isn't that what we need: Ashley Judd, an Obama-following, radical Hollywood liberal who is right at home here in Tennessee. I mean Kentucky."

The Judd family has roots in Kentucky, and California-born Ashley spent part of her childhood there before moving with her mother and sister to the Nashville area, where she attended high school. But she attended the University of Kentucky.

She is a constant presence on the sidelines of Kentucky Wildcats basketball games, both at Lexington's Rupp Arena and sometimes on the road. She is also seen at University of Kentucky football games and posed wearing a hockey jersey for a fund-raising poster for Kentucky's hockey team.

She and her three-time Indy 500 race-car champion husband Dario Franchitti recently announced they were ending their marriage of 11 years.

Her Hollywood career has included films such as "Kiss the Girls" and "Double Jeopardy" as well as TV roles on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and last year's ABC cliffhanger "Missing."

A possible Senate run by Judd is being encouraged by some on social media, including four Facebook pages.

McConnell also could face a challenge from the right, with some conservatives in Kentucky saying they are recruiting a candidate to run against him in the primary.

They say McConnell, who negotiated the deal with President Barack Obama to allow tax increases that avoided the so-called "fiscal cliff, has been too willing to compromise with Obama.

Ashley Judd Meets With Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee

Ashley Judd maintains that she has not made a decision regarding a potential run for the United States Senate, but all clues suggest that an entry into the election is imminent for the actress and former guest on Who Do You Think You Are? The latest sign pointing to Ashley’s participation in the Senate race? A recent meeting with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

Is Ashley Judd planning to oust Mitch McConnell from his current spot on the Senate? Hard to say for sure, especially given a recent statement in which Ashley thanked American Crossroads for targeting her in an attack ad and then explained that she’s still in the midst of considering “her future political plans, although a decision hasn’t been made yet.”

Still no decision, but Ashley’s showing all the signs of a politician serious about launching a campaign. On Tuesday, the actress turned activist visited Washington D.C. to meet with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), a group responsible for recruiting Democratic candidates as well as assisting in election strategy and fundraising. The nature of the discussion remains unknown, but we can assume that it had something to do with the upcoming Senate race in Kentucky.

Although American Crossroads and other conservative groups smugly predict Ashley’s inability to win the election (which is exactly why they are so eager for her to run), polls suggest that the race could be closer than you might expect. One poll found that Ashley Judd would begin the race just four points behind Mitch McConnell, although that gap could easily increase if she struggled to fend off the attacks that are sure to arrive the moment she announces her candidacy.
