Red Heifer Discovered! – Major Obstacle To The Rebuilding Of The Jewish Temple Removed
By Michael Snyder, on June 23rd, 2014

Up until now, one of the major barriers to the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem has been the lack of a red heifer.  A qualified red heifer has not been seen in the land of Israel for nearly two thousand years, and without one it would not be possible to resume Temple worship.  But now a candidate has been found that could change everything.  The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has released stunning video footage of a red heifer that they believe meets the Biblical requirements.  This red heifer was born in the United States, and the owners of the red heifer contacted the Temple Institute in order to receive instructions about how to care for it.  It is hoped that this red heifer will eventually be transported to the land of Israel and be used for the purification of the priests and the vessels that will be used in a rebuilt Jewish Temple.

This is a very big deal, because without a red heifer the Temple would never be rebuilt.  So needless to say, the video footage that you are about to see is creating quite a stir in Jewish communities throughout the world.  The Temple Institute contacted a documentary filmmaker to film this red heifer, and this video was just released to the public earlier this month…

Breaking News: Red Heifer Born

If you are not familiar with the Temple Institute, it is an organization located in the heart of Jerusalem that is dedicated to making preparations for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple.  The Institute has created a whole host of items that are intended to be used in a future Temple including priestly garments made to Biblical specifications, a seven-branched Menorah made of pure gold, a golden Incense Altar and a golden Table of Showbread.  The following is what the Temple Institute has to say about itself…

The Temple Institute (in Hebrew, Machon HaMikdash), founded in 1987, is a non-profit educational and religious organization located in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City. The Institute is dedicated to every aspect of the Biblical commandment to build the Holy Temple of G-d on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. Our short-term goal is to rekindle the flame of the Holy Temple in the hearts of mankind through education. Our long-term goal is to do all in our limited power to bring about the building of the Holy Temple in our time. Thus, the Institute’s efforts include raising public awareness about the Holy Temple, and the central role that it occupies in the spiritual life of mankind. The many areas of activities conducted by the Institute combine research, seminars, publications, and conferences, as well as the production of educational materials.

The major focus of the Institute is its efforts towards the beginning of the actual rebuilding of the Holy Temple. Towards this end, the Institute has begun to restore and construct the sacred vessels for the service of the Holy Temple. These vessels, which G-d commanded Israel to create, can be seen today at our exhibition in Jerusalem’s Old City Jewish Quarter. They are made according to the exact specifications of the Bible, and have been constructed from the original source materials, such as gold, copper, silver and wood. These are authentic, accurate vessels, not merely replicas or models. All of these items are fit and ready for use in the service of the Holy Temple. Among the many items featured in the exhibition are musical instruments played by the Levitical choir, the golden crown of the High Priest, and gold and silver vessels used in the incense and sacrificial services. After many years of effort and toil, the Institute has completed the three most important and central vessels of the Divine service: the seven-branched candelabra, or Menorah, made of pure gold; the golden Incense Altar, and the golden Table of the Showbread.

But without the ashes of a red heifer, all of those preparations are in vain.

Before the Temple can be rebuilt and Temple worship can be resumed, a perfect red heifer must be found.

And now one has been discovered.

According to Orthodox Jewish authorities, a suitable red heifer cannot even have a single black hair.  So finding such a creature is not easy.  According to Jewish tradition, only nine such red heifers were found during the entire time when the first two temples were standing.  And if this current red heifer ever does any work or ever mates it will be disqualified.  The following comes from a Jewish source…

The sages infer that the Red Heifer must be completely red—even two black hairs would render it invalid. And it must not have done any work in its lifetime—even having a yoke placed on its back or having mated would disqualify it.

Once a candidate was found, and there was need for more purifying ash water, the cow would be slaughtered and burned on a pyre, along with a cedar branch, hyssop sprig, and crimson wool. The ceremony took place on the Mount of Olives, opposite the Temple Mount.

All of this has huge implications for world events.

Traditionally, many Orthodox Jews have believed that the spotting of a red heifer would herald the coming of the Messiah.

And if this red heifer does indeed turn out to be a suitable candidate, one of the biggest obstacles to rebuilding the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem will have been removed.

For Christians, this is an extremely exciting development as well.

The Bible tells us that there will be a Temple standing in Jerusalem in the last days, and that the Antichrist will defile it.

But that Bible prophecy could never be fulfilled until a red heifer was found.

Yes, there are still many more obstacles standing in the way of the Jewish people rebuilding the Temple.  For one, the Islamic world would go into convulsions if Israel tried to build anything on or near the Temple mount at this point.

However, the Temple Institute and a whole host of Orthodox Jews are absolutely determined to make the rebuilding of the Temple a reality, and now they appear to be one giant step closing to achieving that dream.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think they'll start construction of the rebuilding of the 3rd Temple until after the rapture - maybe before they sign the 7 year covenant, or shortly after, I don't know.

BUT, with THAT being said - this is VERY big news indeed! I nearly jumped out of my chair while reading this! Looks like potentially a BIG piece of the puzzle has been located! Thank you for posting this!

Temple Institute Announces Discovery Of Red Heifer In Anticipation Of Third Temple

The rebuilding of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem is a key prophetic event with tremendous significance. In addition to the actual building that is required, a tremendous amount of detail will need to be re-enacted, based on the specific requirements given by God in the Old Testament regarding both the numerous items, laws and rituals required to properly conduct the Temple worship, sacrifices and rites. One such key requirement is the slaughtering of a red heifer for its ashes, which would then be used in an ash water mix as a purification-for-worship prerequisite as recorded in the biblical book of Numbers Chapter 19.

A recent report by by Michael Snyder in End of the American Dream, explains why this is no mean feat: “A qualified red heifer has not been seen in the land of Israel for nearly two thousand years, and without one it would not be possible to resume Temple worship. But now a candidate has been found that could change everything. The Temple Institute in Jerusalem (dedicated to making preparations for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple) has released stunning video footage of a red heifer that they believe meets the Biblical requirements.

This red heifer was born in the United States, and the owners of the red heifer contacted the Temple Institute in order to receive instructions about how to care for it. It is hoped that this red heifer will eventually be transported to the land of Israel and be used for the purification of the priests and the vessels that will be used in a rebuilt Jewish Temple”.

The Temple Institute has already successfully assembled other key requirements including: priestly garments made to Biblical specifications, musical instruments played by the Levitical choir, the golden crown of the High Priest, gold and silver vessels used in the incense and sacrificial services, a seven-branched Menorah made of pure gold, a golden Incense Altar and a golden Table of Showbread. They are currently on exhibit in Jerusalem’s Old City Jewish Quarter.

Michael Snyder explains that without the ashes of a red heifer, all of those preparations are in vain: before the Temple can be rebuilt and Temple worship can be resumed, a perfect red heifer must be found. This heifer is expected to also meet the following standards:

• It must never be yoked to work;

• It must never mate;

• It must be completely red—even two black hairs would render it invalid.

The heifer would historically be slaughtered and burned on a pyre, along with a cedar branch, hyssop sprig, and crimson wool. The ceremony took place on the Mount of Olives, opposite the Temple Mount.

A related story published in WND.com  quotes Institute spokesman Rabbi Chaim Richman saying that the heifer is being raised according to the laws of the Torah at an undisclosed U.S. location. The heifer is said to be an Angus mix was in January and is not being tagged, branded or “used for any activity.” According to Richman, the reason the color of the heifer was to be red was “not for humankind to know…the knowledge the red heifer represents is way, way beyond our spiritual capacities.”

Perhaps not entirely: One revealed significance in the Bible about the color red is that it represents sin. Isaiah 18:1 says: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. “ Wikipedia.com lists scarlet and crimson as being shades of red, hence red is the primary or parent color.

There are other Biblical comparisons that suggest that the Old Testament red heifer was also in many ways a type or shadow of the blood atonement for our sins in the New Testament or covenant, paid for by Jesus Christ in his sufferings and death before He rose again. Gospel Herald.com for instance, draws out parallels, some of which are as follows:

• The red heifer was to be "without spot" and without a yoke typifying Christ's voluntary coming to redeem us and His sinless character even though He took our sins as His own (Hebrews 4:15).

• The red heifer was similar to, yet different from, the other offerings for sin. Nevertheless, the purpose was the same. It was a sin offering (just as Jesus who was “made sin”: For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).

• The red heifer was a congregational, or corporate, offering (Numbers. 19:1). It was to be offered outside the camp as an impure thing, typifying Christ who was made to be sin and a curse for us. He suffered outside the established order of things (Hebrews 13:12).

• The heifer was to be "totally consumed with nothing remaining but ashes… the burning to ashes represents the total consumption and destruction of sin and sinners (Malachi. 4:1, 3)…He became sin itself in order that He might destroy him who had the power of sin and death (Hebrews. 2:14, 15)."

• The ashes were sufficient for all the people. When a person or a family needed purification, a fresh heifer was not required to be sacrificed. One was sufficient for all, including the sojourning stranger (Numbers 19:10). So the sacrifice of Christ is sufficient for everyone. It is everlastingly efficacious.

• The ashes were stored for all future needs. So the sacrifice of Christ is laid up for us as an inexhaustible fountain of merit to which we have daily access for the purging of our consciences (Hebrews. 9:13, 14; Zechariah. 13:1).

• The red heifer was offered alone. Christ was all alone. There is but one sin-bearer and He trod the winepress alone. He endured the contradiction (hostility) of sinners (those he came to save) against himself, alone (Hebrews. 12:3).

The significance to the salvation of mankind from sin during the Old Testament times when red heifers were sacrificed therefore becomes clear when compared and contrasted to the New Testament.

However despite the significance of the recent red heifer find, from the Bible prophecies yet to be fulfilled, other hindrances to the rebuilding of the Temple still remain. The primary one seems to be the strong Islamic resistance to Jewish buildings around the Temple mount; however the Temple Institute and the many Orthodox Jews working towards this goal remain undeterred.

Ultimately the prophecies will come true and God will undoubtedly take care of any seemingly insurmountable obstacles at the human level. We can count on it for “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19).

So how should we react to the news of the red heifer findings? Perhaps Jesus would answer that question by reminding us of His words to us when on earth:
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28).”

To ready for the final redemption, Israelis take red heifers by the horns
The Temple Institute wants to raise $125,000 to breed the holy cows used in an ancient — and future, it hopes — purification rite

White button-down shirts aren’t something that you normally see at Israeli dairy and beef farms. But for the past few years, a number of rabbis have rolled up their tzitzit and stepped into rubber boots in a quest to create the ideal farm for a small herd of holy red heifers, called in Hebrew parah adumah.

Red heifers were slaughtered as sacrifices in the Temple and the ashes were used in purification rituals, especially for people who had become impure through contact with dead bodies.

The Temple Institute is a 28-year-old organization that has built more than 70 artifacts that can be used when a Third Temple is built. Its latest project is to import frozen embryos from Red Angus cattle in the United States to create a herd of kosher red heifers in Israel.

“People have this understanding that the red heifer is something otherworldly or it is really rare,” explained Rabbi Chaim Richman, the international director and co-founder of the Temple Institute. “But really there are hundreds or even thousands of red-colored cattle of different species that would qualify.”

What has made a modern-day red heifer an impossibility thus far lies in this description in the Book of Numbers, Chapter 19: “This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke.”

Cows that are raised on commercial dairy farms are subjected to all sorts of blemish-causing conditions, including ears pierced with a numbered tag, cuts or bruises from roughhousing with other cows or contact with broken fences, and ulcers from ingesting metal accidentally mixed into cheap cattle feed. Even a vaccination could count as a blemish. Additionally, cows on commercial farms are used for work, which that is forbidden according to the red heifer criteria.

“Ultimately, in order for there to be a kosher red heifer, it must be arranged from birth,” explained Richman. “The animal must be supervised, watched, and cared for.”

The Temple Mount is in the process of importing frozen embryos from Red Angus cows in the United States – deemed most likely to create progeny that are completely red – in order to create the first herd of red heifers for ritual use in Israel. It is called a “red heifer” because the cow must be female, but it can never have given birth.

In order to create an environment that will sufficiently protect the cows and safeguard their ritually kosher status, Richman and his supporters toured a number of farms in Israel, ironing out the details of the layout and infrastructure to minimize the possibility of harm.

The project isn’t cheap. The Temple Institute recently launched an Indiegogo fundraising campaign to raise more than $125,000 in donations. Each frozen embryo costs approximately NIS 3,000 ($800). Thus far, implanting embryos in cows in Israel has had about a 30 percent success rate. The Agriculture Ministry does not allow the importation of live cattle due to the threat of cattle-borne diseases such as hoof and mouth or mad cow disease, so any farmer who wants to raise a breed of cow not available in Israel must use frozen embryos.

Richman said that the organization’s focus on building ritual objects ready for use in the Third Temple does not have a messianic agenda and does not aim to hasten an eschatological end of days. Richman points out that one-third of the 613 commandments of Judaism are related to the Temple.

“Our motivation for doing this is the same motivation for keeping Shabbat, which is because God commanded us to do it,” he said. “The idea is to do our best to fulfill the mandate of the Jewish people.”

More than one million people have visited the Temple Institute’s exhibition of the 70 ritual objects it has built according to specifications in the Torah. Richman said these objects, including the future red heifer, are not models but rather are fully kosher for use in the Third Temple.

“Jews don’t wait on the eve of the Sukkot holiday for a sukka [booth] to come down to them,” he said.

The Temple Institute’s most well-known object is a candelabra, or menorah, that stands in a plaza of the Old City near the Western Wall.

But the Temple Institute is note alone in planning for a red heifer. There are reports of red heifers all the time. The latest big splash was in the Jewish community in Lakewood, New Jersey. According to articles in the ultra-Orthodox press and Jewish blogs, the farmer, Herbert Celler, is the son of Holocaust survivors. Richman said that the fact that this story spread like wildfire attests to the Jewish community’s yearning for a connection with this concept.

“The red heifer is the exclusive antidote to the issue of tumat met, which is classically translated as impurity caused by exposure to a dead body,” said Richman. “But there’s also a holistic concept that has to do with spiritual imbalance, a disconnect from the reality of presence of God. The antidote is this process of connection through a red heifer.”

The Temple Institute has already had a small success, with the birth of a few completely red cows from the frozen embryos. There was only one problem: they weren’t red heifers. They were red bulls.

Red Heifer Birth, Paves Way For Renewed Temple Service

Last Tuesday, the Temple Institute’s Red Heifer program was blessed with results; an entirely red female calf was born, paving the way for re-establishing the Temple service and marking the final stage of redemption.

Almost three years ago the Temple Institute inaugurated its Raise a Red Heifer in Israel program. Due to laws restricting the importation of live cattle into Israel, the Temple Institute imported frozen embryos of red angus, implanting them in Israeli domestic cows. The pregnant cows were raised on cattle ranches in different locations throughout the country. The cows are giving birth this summer with several calves already having been born.

One week after it’s birth, the newborn red heifer was certified by a board of rabbis as fulfilling all the Biblical requirements. The rabbis emphasized that the heifer could, at any time, acquire a blemish rendering it unsuitable. They will be inspecting the calf periodically to verify its condition.

The red heifer was the main component in the Biblically mandated process of ritual purification for impurity that results from proximity or contact with a dead body.  Because the elements needed for this ceremony have been lacking since the destruction of the Second Temple, all Jews today are considered ritually impure, thereby preventing the return of the Temple service.

The red heifer is described in the Book of Numbers.

“This is the ritual law that Hashem has commanded: Instruct B’nei Yisrael to bring you a red cow without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which no yoke has been laid. Numbers 19:2

Several heifers have been found in recent years that seemed to qualify but ultimately were unsuited for the ritual. Earlier this month, two calves born in Israel to the Institute’s red heifer program were deemed to be unsuitable for the performance of the mitzvah. One calf was a bull while the second, a heifer, had a small patch of white hair which disqualified her.

The heifer, born from a natural birth, must be entirely red, with no more than two non-red hairs on its body. It must also never have been used for any labor or have been impregnated. The existence of such a heifer is considered a biological anomaly and very rare. Fortunately, the ritual requires an infinitesimally small quantity of ashes. From the time of Moses, who personally prepared the first heifer, until the destruction of the Temple, only nine red heifers were prepared. Nonetheless, this was sufficient to maintain the ritual purity of the entire nation for almost 2,000 years.

According to Jewish tradition, there will only be ten red heifers in human history with the tenth heifer ushering in the Messianic era. Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (Maimonides), the most renowned medieval Jewish scholar known by the acronym Rambam, wrote in his explanation of the mitzvah that “the tenth red heifer will be accomplished by the king, the Messiah; may he be revealed speedily, Amen, May it be God’s will.”

Rabbi Chaim Richman, the International Director of the Temple Institute, commented on this on the institute’s website.

“If there has been no red heifer for the past 2,000 years, perhaps it is because the time was not right; Israel was far from being ready. But now… what could it mean for the times we live in, to have the means for purification so close at hand? With the words of Maimonides in mind, we cannot help but wonder and pray: If there are now red heifers… is ours the era that will need them?”

The laws pertaining to the mitzvah are myriad and considered by the sages to be the archetypal chok, an inexplicable Torah commandment accepted solely on faith. Before entering the land of Israel after the Exodus, the heifer was burned outside of the camp. In the days of the Temple, the heifer was taken to the Mount of Olives across a causeway built specifically for this purpose to ensure that there was no inadvertent contact with areas along the way that may have been contaminated by dead bodies.

Cedarwood, hyssop, and wool or yarn dyed scarlet are added to the fire, and the remaining ashes are placed in a vessel containing spring water to purify a person who has become ritually contaminated by contact with a corpse. Water from the vessel is sprinkled on the subject, using a bunch of hyssop, on the third and seventh day of the purification process. The priest who performs the ritual then becomes ritually unclean, and must then wash himself and his clothes in running waters. He is deemed impure until evening.

No less stringent than the laws pertaining to the heifer are the laws pertaining to the site where the heifer is burned. Almost 30 years ago, Rabbi Yonatan Adler, who is also an archaeologist, performed an in-depth study into the textual references to the site where the red heifer was burned, publishing his results in  in the Torah journal Techumin. His calculations, based on the Holy of Holies being located where the Dome of the Rock stands today, led him to a spot where Dominus Flevit, a Catholic Church built in 1955, now stands. Archaeological surveys discovered unique characteristics of the site that corresponded to descriptions in the Talmud.

Birth of 'first red heifer in 2000 years' fulfils Bible prophecy and signals 'end of days'

A Bible prophecy has been realised as the first 'red heifer in 2,000 years' was born in Israel.

The Temple Institute announced the birth on their YouTube channel and said the calf and its mother would undergo "extensive examination" to determine if it's "blemish free".

In the announcement, the Institute said the red female calf "brings the promise of reinstating Biblical purity to the world".

In both Christianity and Judaism, red heifers feature in tales about the "end of times".

The birth and sacrifice of the red cow is said to precede the construction of the Third Temple in Jerusalem.

In mainstream Orthodox Judaism, the rebuilding of the Temple will happen before the coming of the Jewish Messiah.

The two previous temples have been destroyed.

However, The Temple Institute and other organisations have been established with the goal of building the Third Temple on Mount Moriah or the Temple Mount.

But some theologians believe the construction of the Third Temple is linked to 'Judgement Day' or the 'end of times'.

The Temple Institute have been trying to breed their own perfect red heifer

Director of The Temple Institute, Rabbi Chain Richman, believes it's now time to build the Third Temple following the birth of the red heifer.

The video on the Institutes's YouTube channel shows the calf with its mother and proclaims: “a perfectly red heifer was born in the land of Israel”.

The calf has since undergone “extensive examination by rabbinical experts” who confirmed she is a “viable candidate for the Biblical red heifer”.

However, the cow could be disqualified due to "natural causes".

Bosses at the Temple Institute founded a Raise a Red Heifer in Israel program three years ago.

The building of the Third Temple will happen 'before the coming of the Messiah'

They have been hoping to breed a perfectly red cow and the frozen embryos of red angus cows have been imported to Israel and implanted into domestic cows.

Breaking Israel news reports a board of rabbis verified the cow fulfilled the requirements of the prophecy.

The prophecy says the cow must be red "without blemish".

‘Massive Altar’ for Red Heifer Sacrifice Constructed in Israel

Since the time of Moses, only nine red heifers have been sacrificed.

Now, a “massive altar” for the 10th red heifer sacrifice has been built in Israel, and there is a tremendous amount of speculation that it could happen soon.

In September 2022, five red heifers were flown from the state of Texas to the land of Israel. Since that time, one of them has been disqualified, but the other four continue to be candidates for a red heifer sacrifice.

As I discussed last week, there was “a practice run of the purification ceremony” in 2023. But an official ceremony must be conducted before the heifers get too old to be used for such a sacrifice.

So will a red heifer be sacrificed in Israel in 2024?

A red heifer sacrifice would need to happen on the Mount of Olives, and the land where the sacrifice would take place is owned by Rabbi Yitshak Mamo.

According to those working on the project, the ceremony of the red heifer needs to be performed on the Mount of Olives, and in a place that would have looked directly into where the Temple stood. The land directly east of the Temple Mount, purchased 12 years ago, meets both of those standards.

Rabbi Yitshak Mamo owns that land on the Mount of Olives. Mamo is with Uvne Yerusalim, a group that preserves Israel’s history and works to educate future generations.

Concerning the specifics of the land, he told CBN News, “It had to be exactly at the front of the place that the priest that made this ceremony can see the Holy of the Holy Place.”

But the clock is ticking.

If the heifers get too old, they will no longer qualify.

During a recent public appearance, Mamo explained that “we are very close to the third year of these cows.”

“If there is any [mathematicians] here, so you can understand that we are very close to the third year of these cows,” reveals Mamo. “Which means that with the help of God, we will get permission from God and from the people to make the ceremony. And then we can be pure.”

Recently, there has been a lot of buzz that we could actually see a red heifer sacrifice very soon.

Last month, All Israel News reported that the Temple Institute wants to conduct a sacrifice “before Passover 2024.”

As of now, four of the heifers remain blemish-free and, according to Temple Institute rabbis, they hope to carry out the ceremony before Passover 2024.

This year, the Jewish people will celebrate Passover on April 22nd.

That is about a month away.

During a recent broadcast, Glenn Beck also discussed the possibility that a red heifer sacrifice could happen in the very near future. The following is an excerpt from a transcript of that broadcast:

If you’re going to rebuild the temple, you need to purify it.

And purifying it, according to the book of numbers, chapter 19, is a heifer. A red heifer ceremony. That results in the creation of ash and water mixture.

And that cleanses the entire nation of Israel. From ritual impurity.

And then the ceremony requires some of the blood to be sprinkled at the front of the tabernacle. That later became the temple.

It usually took place at the Mount of Olives, where they are planning on doing this again in the coming days.

It is essential for all aspects of the temple, and temple worship to take place.

In addition, anyone participating in temple worship, would be required to be sprinkled with the ash water.

Beyond that, even without the presence of a physical temple, the ceremony, would be—would allow the general population to be ritually cleansed and remove much of the religious prohibition for a Jewish presence, on the Temple Mount.

When are they planning on doing it?

Well, they imported these red heifers before October 7th.

We now know that Hamas said, that this was going to—this was part of the reason, because they’re going to use the red heifers to purify the temple, which is desecration to them.

Purifying them, so they can then, actually, go up, and even if there’s no temple. They can pray as if they were in the temple.

They’re going to do this, Passover weekend. So Easter weekend.

There has been a lot of speculation on social media that a red heifer sacrifice could potentially take place on Mar. 29, because the “Sabbath of the red heifer” begins at sundown that evening.

Shabbat Parah for Hebrew Year 5784 begins at sundown on Friday, 29 March 2024 and ends at nightfall on Saturday, 30 March 2024. This corresponds to Parashat Tzav.

Shabbat Parah (Sabbath [of the] red heifer שבת פרה) takes place on the Shabbat before Shabbat HaChodesh, in preparation for Passover. Numbers 19:1-22 describes the parah adumah (red heifer) in the Jewish temple as part of the manner in which the kohanim and the Jewish people purified themselves so that they would be ready (“pure”) to sacrifice the korban Pesach.

I have not been able to find any confirmation that a sacrifice will happen on Mar. 29.

So I don’t know if we will see anything happen on that date or not.

But I do believe that the Temple Institute fully intends to conduct a red heifer sacrifice at some point in 2024.

And when that happens, Israel’s enemies are going to go haywire.

As CBS News has reported, Hamas has actually admitted that the red heifers were one of the reasons why they attacked Israel on Oct. 7.

When Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida began a speech marking the 100th day of the war in Gaza, one confounding yet eye-opening proclamation escaped the headlines. Listing the motives for the Palestinian militant group’s Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, he accused Jews of “bringing red cows” to the Holy Land.

The cows he was talking about are red heifers, which now graze at a secure, undisclosed location in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Some Jews and Christians believe they’re key to rebuilding the Jewish temple that once stood in Jerusalem, and to beckoning the Messiah.

Once Israel’s enemies realize that a red heifer has been sacrificed, they are going to go absolutely nuts.

So this is a really big deal.

Let’s keep watching and praying, because it appears that events in the Middle East are about to get very, very interesting.{eoa}

Jews To Rebuke Jesus Again; Will Sacrifice Red Heifer on Good Friday - Day of Crucifixion

The state of Israel has erected a giant Altar to be used for a sacrifice of a Red Heifer (cow) to be performed on Good Friday, the day recognizing Jesus Crucifixion.  The ashes from the pyre will take about 3 days to cool, (Easter Sunday) and will be used to "ritually cleanse" Rabbis who will work building the Third Temple.

In the Old Testament, when Moses went up onto Mount Sinai to received the Ten Commandments, "Israel" lost faith, made themselves a Golden Calf, and began "worshipping" ** it **  as a God.

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with those Ten Commandments, carved into stone tablets by the Hand of God Himself, he found "Israel" worshipping the Golden Calf, threw the tablets down at them, which caused an earthquake.  The ground cracked open and thousands were said to have been swallowed-up by the earth for offending God.

So here we are, thousands of years later, and now we see that "Israel (the state)" has switched from worshipping a Golden Calf, to a Red Heifer cow. They are so hateful of Jesus (Y'Shua) they are slaughtering this Red Heifer on the very day which remembers Jesus was Crucified, and then deem to use the ashes from the cow pyre to "cleanse" the Rabbis, when, in fact, the only thing that can "cleanse" is the Blood of Jesus!

This slaughter of a Red Heifer, as if it is "religious," is a sick affront to Christians everywhere, and likely to God Himself. There is no need for sacrificing of animals. It's an abomination. Jesus Christ was the final and ultimate sacrifice for sin for gentile and Jew alike.

Yet Jews are now showing vividly they continue to deny the Son 2000+ years later despite:

1 John 2
2 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an [a]Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; 2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

"Christs redeeming act on the cross brought an end to sacrifices of heifers and other animals. The power was taken away from the religious zealots of that day and given to Christ and his church that was built upon Peter the rock. The keys were given to the church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

"And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."

This pending "sacrifice" reinforces the barbaric nature of the so-called "state" of Israel, which the world is seeing in all its Barbarism in how it is slaughtering Palestinians in Gaza.

In my personal opinion, these are sick, degenerate people who should be cast out of world affairs.

Pray the earth opens up again and swallows them up this time, too.

What these red cows from Texas have to do with war and peace in the Middle East

Red cows factor into Israel-Hamas war
The unlikely role red cows play in war between Israel and Hamas 05:07

Jerusalem — When Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida began a speech marking the 100th day of the war in Gaza, one confounding yet eye-opening proclamation escaped the headlines. Listing the motives for the Palestinian militant group's Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, he accused Jews of "bringing red cows" to the Holy Land.

The cows he was talking about are red heifers, which now graze at a secure, undisclosed location in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Some Jews and Christians believe they're key to rebuilding the Jewish temple that once stood in Jerusalem, and to beckoning the Messiah.

To understand, you have to look back almost 2,000 years in the tumultuous history of the Middle East, when the ancient Romans destroyed the last temple in Jerusalem.

To rebuild it, fervent believers point to the Bible's Book of Numbers, which commands the Israelites to offer "a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke."

Only with that offering, they insist, can the temple rise again.
From Texas to the West Bank

Instrumental in bringing the heifers to the Holy Land was Yitshak Mamo, of Uvne Jerusalem, a group committed to seeing a new temple built in Jerusalem's Old City.

"You can check to see if they have any white or black hairs," he told CBS News, explaining that any hair that isn't red would disqualify the cows from fulfilling their prophesied role.

Finding the red heifers took years. The quest led Mamo not to Jewish breeders but to Christian ranchers thousands of miles away.

"After a long search, we found them in Texas," he said. "Texas red angus."

To bypass strict laws in place at the time that banned the export of U.S. cattle to Israel, the heifers were classified as pets, Mamo said with a laugh. But to those following biblical commandments, the cows are no laughing matter, he added, stressing that it was no publicity stunt.

"Harry Potter is a good story. The Bible is not a story," he said. "The Bible is a way of God to lead us."

But while they're classed as pets, there are no plans to let the red heifers live out long happy lives.

A massive white altar awaits, where they are to be burned on a plot of land overlooking the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Mamo said the ceremony must be performed looking directly into where the ancient Second Temple stood, until it was destroyed by the Romans in the year 70.
"A Pandora's box that nobody can close"

What Mamo didn't mention is what stands in the temple's place now: The Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque, which are among the holiest sites in Islam.

Today, heavily armed guards ensure that only Muslims are allowed inside the complex. But that hasn't stopped Jewish activists, like Melissa Jane Kronfeld, from leading groups up the Temple Mount five days every week.

"There's one true God, and it started here," she said, before falling to her knees and bowing where the First Temple, or the Temple of Solomon, was built in 957 BCE. The Second Temple, or Temple of Herod, was a reconstructed version of the first, built in the 6th century BCE, according to scripture.

"It's so important for the Jews to return and rebuild the temple," said New York native Kronfeld, who founded the High on the Har organization to lead the tours. "It's not about taking anything from our Muslim brothers and sisters. It's not about the destruction of Islamic holy sites. It's about preserving this place and being guardians over the house of God for all people."

But she makes no secret about what she wants to happen to the Dome of the Rock.

"I believe it's going to go, 100%. The whole thing is going to go to build a temple," she said, insisting that the shrine and its golden dome should be preserved, but relocated.

It's a suggestion that many fear, if acted upon, could make the current war even bloodier, and see it spread rapidly beyond the Gaza Strip.

"Everyone says that the building, the Third Temple, is what will bring the war, it would destabilize the Middle East," she said. "The Middle East seems pretty destabilized right now, and the war, if I'm not mistaken, is already here."

To be clear, Kronfeld's dream of seeing a Third Temple constructed on the site is just that, a dream, and it is not shared by the Israeli government or by the vast majority of Israelis or Jews. But the suggestion has been more than enough to incite numerous Islamist groups.

Hamas dubbed its Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel "the Al-Aqsa Wave," and the group's emblem features the Dome of the Rock behind two crossed swords.

While most Muslims do not support Hamas' violence, they do share its unwavering devotion to sacred ground, says Mustafa Abu Sway, the Imam Al-Ghazali Chair at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

"Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to all Muslims," he said. "So, you will find reactions from Indonesia to Toronto to New York. Today there are 2 billion Muslims worldwide."

He told CBS News that removing Al-Aqsa or the Dome of the Rock was "unimaginable," and warned that it would be "opening a Pandora's box that nobody can close."
U.S. evangelicals, the cows, and the second coming

Jewish activists have not been deterred by Hamas' Oct. 7 massacre or the ongoing war in Gaza. Some have been using the conflict as a backdrop to promote their cause in the United States.

At the recent National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance in Washington, D.C., Mamo spoke of his heifers and his hopes for a Third Jewish Temple. The gathering was convened by U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, who gave a keynote prayer before a who's-who of evangelical leaders and congresspeople spoke. Many American evangelicals believe the red heifers will usher the second coming of Christ.

"We're going to accept the Messiah, and we need the Messiah to come," Byron Stinson, a Texan who helped bring the cows to Israel, said at the gathering. "For me, the red heifer is red for the blood of Jesus Christ. That's why it's red."

Back at his settlement in the West Bank, Mamo told CBS News the heifers need only pass a final purity test. The ceremony that he hopes will resurrect the temple and usher in the Messiah could take place any day. He said he understands why Hamas could be outraged.

"But I cannot understand, even if they are right, why they have to slaughter and **** people to win their war," he said. "Terrorists have been attacking us before we ever dreamed of these cows," he reflects. "They don't need them as an excuse to kill."
