Saw this on Yahoo just now...

Back in my younger days in the 80's and 90's, this kind of behavior would have ZERO tolerance, period...whatever place you're in(whether school or whatever), they were very quick to throw down the discipline hammer the second you touched a female. But now in our present day? It seems like either noone cares or some to most will look at it as entertainment value. And for that matter too, the title of this news article is pretty disrespecful as well.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nascar-from-the-marbles/50-cent-goes-erin-andrews-kiss-gets-denied-192555935--nascar.html

Erin Andrews was working her way through the crowded pit road at the Daytona 500 when she came upon a surprise visitor: none other than 50 Cent himself, one of the many celebrities in attendance. 50 decided to show his appreciation for Andrews' work, and, well, Andrews didn't much dig it.

50 tried to accompany Andrews as she walked pit road, but she was having none of it. Well, that was awkward.

And to boot, that music artist just continued to follow her around even after Andrews made it clear to him.

1Cor 7:1  Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
1Co 7:2  Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

Uh, I saw the race, usually do it being one of my few liberties. It was an awkward moment because one, it's live, and two, he tried to kiss her on the cheek as a greeting, and she was the one who got all weird, not sure what to do, so she kind of fumbled/hesitated, making him look silly. She made the moment look bad, not him. And she was the one that said she was looking to talk to Danica Patrick and said "walk with me" to 50, and just a few seconds later she made it to Patrick's car but couldn't find her so she wrapped the segment with 50 standing next to her. Not a big deal, but this article seems to want to spin it into something it wasn't.

He wasn't out of line (even though he is just a thug rapper). Andrews was the one who made the whole deal look weird.

Well, this "pastor" at this church was "concerned" that MANY of his congregants were couples co-habitating and no married - so he decided to do this free mass wedding ceremony where all of their expenses from the photographer to the food to the marriage liscenses, etc were all paid for for them(b/c supposedly these co-habitating couples couldn't afford them).

Uhm...doesn't this "pastor" know his bible? And if so, couldn't he show his congregants these passages?

1Cor 6:13  Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1Co 6:14  And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
1Co 6:15  Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
1Co 6:16  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
1Co 6:17  But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1Co 6:18  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1Co 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1Co 6:20  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

1Co 7:1  Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
1Co 7:2  Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

And these couples having money problems et al?

Mat 6:25  Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Mat 6:26  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Mat 6:27  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
Mat 6:28  And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Mat 6:29  And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Mat 6:30  Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Php_4:11  Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

1Tim_6:8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Texas Church Encourages Couples to Marry with Free Mass Wedding Day

2/25/13

Frustrated that many of their congregants were living together but not legally married, a church in Argyle, Texas took it upon itself to get these people hitched.

As part of a mass wedding on Saturday, 21 couples were wed back-to-back in individual ceremonies all under the roof of Cross Timbers church.

On 12-12-12 Thousands of Couples Will Head to the Altar

We realize we have lots of folks living together that aren’t married,” Pastor Toby Slough told the local CBS affiliate. “And were really big here at Cross Timbers of simply not just saying don’t do that but let us help you get in position for God’s best.”

According to research from the Pew Institute, “barely half of Americans over the age of 18 are married,” and the “overall number of married couples has declined by more than 20 percentage points since 1960.”

The reasons for the decline in marriages in the U.S. is manifold, but most of the Argyle couples said they had postponed their weddings for financial reasons. Bill and Diane Melder said they were waiting until they were “debt-free,” so they could have a “new start.”

In the U.S., the average wedding costs approximately $27,021, and New York couples can expect to spend $65,824, according to surveys done by wedding websites The Knot and Wedding Channel.

Cross Timbers paid the expenses for all 21 couples, everything from marriage counseling to the license and even the photographer. Though the term “mass-wedding” doesn’t exactly bring to mind an intimate ceremony, each couple received individual attention and use of the sanctuary. Bill Melder said the process exceeded his expectations.

Mass weddings aren't a new trend: on Valentine's Day, hundreds of couples were married on the steps of the Bexar County Courthouse in San Antonio, Texas, and the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon became famous for marrying thousands of his followers en masse in what he called "blessing ceremonies." But it’s not every church that literally puts its money where its mouth is and pays for its congregants to be married.

One groom expressed his appreciation, telling the local affiliate, “This was a big help. We appreciate the church caring enough to help us. We love each other and we wanted to take that next step.”

Sometimes I wonder how many of these Churchianity pastors are bankrolled by the Illuminati/FEMA. I know we're living in the last days(at least from what it seems), but nonetheless it seems like the average church in America is pretty rich financially. It's not like 1/2 of their congregants are millionaires either.

1Tim 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1Peter 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
1Pe 1:21  Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1Pe 1:22  Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1Pe 1:23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/police-report-details-utah-swim-coach-greg-winslow-s-alleged-sexual-abuse-of-15-year-old-girl-184421959.html

3/1/13
Police report details Utah swim coach Greg Winslow's alleged sexual abuse of 15-year-old girl

University of Utah head swimming coach Greg Winslow is accused of abusing an underage girl over the course of a two-year period, according to a police report obtained by Yahoo! Sports.

Winslow was suspended Thursday by the university, the same day the report was received by the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in Arizona, where the alleged abuse took place.

Reached by phone Friday, Maricopa County public information officer Jerry Cobb confirmed receiving the report from the Arizona State University campus police, and said his office is reviewing the document, which recommends a review of two counts of sexual abuse against Winslow. Cobb said no charges have been filed, and normally a decision is made on that within 30 days.

Yahoo! Sports' attempts to reach Winslow for comment were not immediately returned. Contacted late Wednesday by Concussions, Inc., the blog that originally reported the sexual abuse allegations, Winslow said, "These are extremely serious allegations, and if I am accused, I will certainly respond."

According to the police report, the alleged abuse began in 2005 when Winslow, then 32, was a coach for the Sun Devils Aquatics club in Tempe, Ariz. The alleged victim, then 15, described to police recurring meetings in Winslow's office where physical contact progressed from hugging to fondling of genitalia.

How Dutch legalizing of prostitution, drugs, & euthanasia is working out

The Netherlands, that once-Calvinist land, has gone farther than just about any other country in legalizing “victimless crimes,” such as prostitution, drug use, and euthanasia.  Now that country is facing the unintended consequences, including an upsurge in organized crime, social squalor, and a  deluge of sex tourists, drug tourists, and death tourists (who only buy a one-way ticket).

From Julie Bindel,  Why even Amsterdam doesn’t want legal brothels » The Spectator:

In 2000 the Dutch government decided to make it even easier for pimps, traffickers and punters by legalising the already massive and highly visible brothel trade. Their logic was as simple as it was deceptive: to make things safer for everyone. Make it a job like any other. Once the women were liberated from the underworld, the crooks, drug dealers and people traffickers would drift away.

Twelve years on, and we can now see the results of this experiment. Rather than afford better protection for the women, it has simply increased the market. Rather than confine the brothels to a discrete (and avoidable) part of the city, the sex industry has spilt out all over Amsterdam — including on-street. Rather than be given rights in the ‘workplace’, the prostitutes have found the pimps are as brutal as ever. The government-funded union set up to protect them has been shunned by the vast majority of prostitutes, who remain too scared to complain.

Pimps, under legalisation, have been reclassified as managers and businessmen. Abuse suffered by the women is now called an ‘occupational hazard’, like a stone dropped on a builder’s toe. Sex tourism has grown faster in Amsterdam than the regular type of tourism: as the city became the brothel of Europe, women have been imported by traffickers from Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia to meet the demand. In other words, the pimps remained but became legit — violence was still prevalent but part of the job, and trafficking increased. Support for the women to leave prostitution became almost nonexistent. The innate murkiness of the job has not been washed away by legal benediction.

The Dutch government hoped to play the role of the honourable pimp, taking its share in the proceeds of prostitution through taxation. But only 5 per cent of the women registered for tax, because no one wants to be known as a wh0re — however legal it may be. Illegality has simply taken a new form, with an increase in trafficking, unlicensed brothels and pimping; with policing completely out of the picture, it was easier to break the laws that remained. To pimp out women from non-EU countries, desperate for a new life, remains illegal. But it’s never been easier.

Legalisation has imposed brothels on areas all over Holland, whether they want them or not. Even if a city or town opposes establishing a brothel, it must allow at least one — not doing so is contrary to the basic federal right to work. To many Dutch, legality and decency have been irreconcilably divorced. It has been a social, legal and economic failure — and the madness, finally, is coming to an end.

The brothel boom is over. A third of Amsterdam’s bordellos have been closed due to the involvement of organised criminals and drug dealers and the increase in trafficking of women. Police now acknowledge that the red-light district has mutated into a global hub for human trafficking and money laundering. The streets have been infiltrated by grooming gangs seeking out young, vulnerable girls and marketing them to men as virgins who will do whatever they are told. Many of those involved in Amsterdam’s regular tourist trade — the museums and canals — fear that their visitors are vanishing along with the city’s reputation. . . .

It took six years for the mayor to admit in public that the experiment had been a disaster, a magnet for trafficked women, drug dealers and underage girls. Zones in Rotterdam, The Hague and Heerlen have shut down in similar circumstances. The direction of travel is clear: legalisation will be repealed. Legalisation has not been emancipation. It has instead resulted in the appalling, inhuman, degrading treatment of women, because it declares the buying and selling of human flesh acceptable. And as the Dutch government reforms itself from pimp to protector, it will have time to reflect on the damage done to the women caught in this calamitous social experiment.

HT:  Rich Shipe

From Cecilia Rodriguez, Holland Targets its Drugs-and-Death Tourism in Forbes:

Two old debates are back to prominence in the Netherlands, both related to hard-to-define tourisms:  “Bad tourism,” “dark tourism“, “medical tourism” or the less contentious “new tourism.”

Labels aside, they’re highly controversial and tied to ideology: drug tourism and assisted-suicide tourism

Both forms have made international headlines recently because the Dutch conservative government wants to put an end to the former and curtail the latter, despite the vehement opposition of liberal parties, local officials, civic movements and worries over the impact such measures will have on local and national economies.

For many young Europeans,  their first parent-free trip to Amsterdam is a rite of passage,  and not for the unique architecture, beautiful canals, and rich museums, but rather to explore the internationally-renowned coffeeshops where they can buy **** in small amounts and smoke it legally.

But this is big business.  Of the four to five million international visitors to Amsterdam each year, according to city spokeswoman Tahira Limon, 23% say they visit a Dutch coffeeshop. The federal government wants it to stop and has implemented various measures to ensure it will.  First, last year in southern border towns including Maastricht they prohibited the sale of pot to all foreigners except for Germans and Belgians to relieve traffic congestion. Then the prohibition was extended to other regions and all visitors.  Amsterdam had been excluded because the city government is against the curbs and the coffeshops have been able to exert enough pressure to hold them off.  Until now.

If Prime Minister Mark Rutte gets his way, the resistance is pointless. Citing, among other reasons, the criminal drug industry allegedly developed around the coffeshops, next month the government plans to begin the first phase of a program to restrict coffeeshop operations, hoping that by the end of the year all drug tourism will be eliminated.

As for the other tourism on the ropes, officially only Dutch residents should receive medical assistance to commit suicide. But the law doesn’t prohibit doctors from administering euthanasia to non-residents. The Netherlands was the first country to legalize euthanasia and its legislation on the right to die is considered the most liberal in the world, although it applies  only to cases of ”hopeless and unbearable” suffering. (That said, the Netherlands is not the only destination for legal euthanasia. First and foremost is Zurich, Switzerland, where hundreds of tourists, mostly British, make the journey to end their lives.)

It’s not the existence of assisted-suicide tourism that’s behind the latest controversy but, rather, the implicit danger that it could spin out of control, ‘a la coffeeshops’, thanks to two new initiatives pushed by the organization Right to Die: To make euthanasia widely available by creating  mobile teams to assist patients to die at  home, and by proposing legislation to give the right to die to everybody over 70 years old.

Conservative members of the government and various religious organizations fear that such measures could trigger a wave of euthanasia tourism. Right or not, the country’s longstanding reputation as a haven for live-and-let-live — or die-and-let-die — is under assault as never before.

When I was in Germany 20 years ago for a bit, I was located on both borders of Belgium and Amsterdam, so was able to get a peek of the latter quite a bit.

Even back then, they seemed to have their problems(even though nothing was legalized yet then) - figured it was only a matter of time before they started legalizing those things. Not surprising they are where they are now b/c of it.

Maryland governor suggests he will support medical marijuana bill

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley on Friday suggested he would support a bill to legalize medical marijuana, crossing a bright line the law-and-order governor had previously set against legalizing pot use for any reason.

O’Malley was nonchalant about the change in an impromptu meeting with reporters outside the State House on Friday. The governor said he is deferring to his chief health adviser on the decision.

“I’m focused on other things this year,” O’Malley said in an apparent nod to his package of gun-control legislation and a bill he is championing to repeal the state’s death penalty.

He won the state’s top elective office over six years ago on a reputation as a tough-on-crime Baltimore mayor. He has repeatedly opposed efforts to legalize marijuana, casting drugs as an ill on society and pot as illegal nationwide.

Under a mandate issued by the General Assembly in 2011, however, O’Malley’s administration was tasked with developing a model program for distributing marijuana for medical purposes.

Joshua Sharfstein, O’Malley’s secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene, testified before lawmakers on Friday that the administration had completed a plan and that a bill sponsored by Del. Dan K. Morhaim (D), a Baltimore County doctor, contained most of the provisions the governor could support.

The bill’s prospects in the General Assembly remain unclear. But if passed, it would allow academic medical centers in the state to operate medical marijuana “compassionate use programs” beginning in 2016.

The centers — hospitals that operate medical residency programs, and that conduct approved research — would have to monitor marijuana usage, patient outcomes, publish results, and detail funding.

“There’s a red light approach that just says no; a green light that says, approve and go ahead,” Sharfstein said. “We support the [academic study] bill because it’s a yellow light approach” before any further legalization. “We need to assess . . . there are not proven benefits, but there are proven risks,” Sharfstein added.

He did not address another bill that has passed the Senate Judiciary Committee and will come to the full Senate for consideration. The bill, authored by Sen. Robert A. Zirkin (D-Baltimore County), would make possession of marijuana a civil offense and not a criminal one. Under the measure, possession of less than 10 grams of pot would be punishable by a fine not exceeding $100.

Sharfstein said the administration’s academic study plan is based on guidelines from the Institute of Medicine, the health arm of the National Academy of Sciences.

Although it is tailored to academic research, it would nonetheless require Maryland to go down the complicated road of licensing marijuana growers and setting up a statewide Medical Marijuana Commission.

It also would grant legal immunity from drug laws to patients, health care providers and state personnel who administer the program.

Sharfstein said the administration opposed a similar bill last year on legal grounds because “there was a fear that state employees could be prosecuted for participating.”

He said the administration would want to amend Morhaim’s bill to allow for the suspension of the program if prosecution under federal drug laws became a greater concern.

In his testimony, Morhaim addressed the federal drug laws as the biggest obstacle to the bill, but said Washington is sending “mixed messages” by allowing states to proceed with medical marijuana programs. “Other states have stepped up,” Morhaim said, adding that their defiance sends a message.

At least one member of the House Judiciary Committee said he was skeptical about the medical benefits of marijuana. “I think it’s just a way to legalize all of it,” said Del. Kevin Kelly (D-Allegany).

Abstain from all appearance of evil...

http://gma.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/softball-coach-accused-sending-team-him-dates-173306123--abc-news-topstories.html
Softball Coach Accused of Sending Team to Find Him Dates
3/9/13

A high school softball coach has resigned after he was accused of using his team of girls to find him dates.

Troy Hennum submitted his resignation to Seattle Public Schools on Friday, officials said, after his dating scavenger hunt was brought to their attention by a woman who said she was targeted for a date.

Kat Aagard, 25, said she was flattered when a group of giggling girls from Roosevelt High School came into the sporting goods store where she works.

"They asked me if they could get my phone number and picture for their coach," she told ABC News.

What Aagard didn't know was that the girls' coach, Hennum, had allegedly sent them out to find him possible dates.

"I wasn't sure what to think at first," she said.

Aagard shared text messages with ABC News that she said were sent by Hennum. The sender confessed right away to using the female players to help him find dates.

'Right? Genius. Great way to meet a girl. Use my girls. LOL," the sender wrote.

Aagard carried on the text conversation for more than an hour, even complimenting him when he said he teaches special education.

"He seemed like a nice enough guy for a while," Aagard said.

She had a change of heart, she said, after she searched for Hennum online and found articles about his departure from another school in nearby Lake Washington.

The Lake Washington School District reportedly found no cause to discipline Hennum for texting a student in an April 2012 incident, but he was not on staff the next season.

"I was completely … shocked to see something inappropriate happened with this coach before," Aagard said.

She decided to report him to the principal of Roosevelt High School.

Aagard told ABC News' Seattle affiliate KOMO-TV that Hennum called her to apologize.

"I want to call and, first off, sincerely apologize for any inconvenience myself or the team caused you," he allegedly said in a voicemail.

Hennum did not respond to a request from ABC News for comment.

Maine allows bars to open early for St Patrick's Day

DURHAM, Maine (Reuters) - St. Patrick's Day revelers can get an extra-early start this year in Maine thanks to an emergency measure signed by the governor on Thursday allowing bars and restaurants to begin serving alcohol at 6 a.m.

The Irish-American celebration this year falls on a Sunday, when Maine bans the sale of alcohol before 9 a.m., so bar and restaurant owners sought an exception to the state law.

"St. Patrick's Day isn't just our biggest day. It is four times bigger than any other day," said Daniel Steele, co-owner of Portland's popular Brian Boru Public House, not far from the city's St. Patrick's Day parade route. "So this is a lot of revenue for us, and also generates a lot of sales tax.

"We're delighted that the governor changed his mind."

The measure had seemed doomed due to opposition by Governor Paul LePage, who in a television interview earlier this week dismissed the bill as "garbage."

The Republican governor, locked in a battle with the Democratic-controlled state legislature over nearly $500 million in overdue Medicaid payments, had vowed to veto any and all legislation until his plan for those repayments is passed.

But the governor said he changed his mind after meeting with state Representative Barry Hobbins, a Democrat
.

"Mainers know that I am a man of my word," the governor said in a statement. "But I am always open to reasonable suggestions. I'm pleased to sign this bill as a gesture of goodwill and as a supporter of Maine's fine establishments that wish to open earlier on St. Patrick's Day."

One of those pleased with the measure was Maggie Byrnes-Lair, owner of Byrnes' Irish Pub in Bath, Maine, along the coast.

"We'll be open at 6:00," she said, "and we'll be serving lots of Irish coffees and Guinness."

Restaurants and bars typically fare better when the holiday falls on a weekend, Steele said.

"People don't have to work and there's more parking," he said. "And older people especially like to come in early. They come for the dancing and the poetry reading and the Celtic music. For lots of them, it's the one pint they have a year."

Spurned lover turned to Satan, violence
3/22/13

VOLGOGRAD, Russia, March 22 (UPI) -- Russian police said a teacher turned to Satanism and a hired thug to attack a former student's fiancee after the former student rejected her.

Police said Lyudmila Osipova, 41, of Volgograd, developed a crush on a man in his 20s while teaching a computer class several years ago and attempted to reconnect with the man after quitting her job in 2009, RIA Novosti reported Friday.

The woman posed online as a model half her age in an attempt to reconnect with the man, but he spurned her advances because he had a girlfriend he planned to marry, the Komsomolskaya Pravda reported.

Investigators said Osipova's failure to win the man's affections led her to take up Satanism and drink blood in an attempt to get the devil to help her obtain a younger body, $32,000, a Jaguar, a Volkswagen, a helicopter and a team of bodyguards.

However, that also failed to yield results, so Osipova attempted to hire an undercover police officer posing as a contractor to attack the object of the man's affections.

"Put her on drugs for a couple of weeks in order to develop an addiction," the woman says in surveillance video of the incident. "Gang-**** her too, and film it for him to see."

Osipova was arrested Wednesday after allegedly handing over $6,500 to the undercover officer. She was charged with instigating kidnapping, gang **** and infliction of grave bodily harm.

She faces as much as 15 years in prison if convicted on all charges.

Sometimes you wonder why at this present day, the same-sex marriage opponents are feeling more hopeless as the proponents are yelling louder for their rights...

Mat 7:3  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:4  Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:5  Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

20% of Pregnant Teens Already Have a Child

About one in five U.S. teens who gives birth already has at least one other child from a previous pregnancy, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Of the 365,000 births to U.S. teens ages 15 to 19 in 2010, about 67,000, or 18 percent, were repeat births, the report says.

Most of the repeat births (86 percent) were second pregnancies. However, some teens gave birth to a third, fourth, fifth, or sixth child before age 20. (About 13 percent of repeat births were third pregnancies, and 2 percent were fourth or more pregnancies.)

Although the rate of repeat teen pregnancies fell 6 percent between 2007 and 2010, the rate of teen birth and repeat birth is still too high, the CDC said. Babies born to teens as a result of a second pregnancy (or more) are at greater risk of preterm birth or low birth weight, the CDC says.

"Repeat births can negatively impact the mother’s education and job opportunities as well as the health of the next generation. Teens, parents, health care providers, and others need to do much more to reduce unintended pregnancies," Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the CDC, said in a statement.

Nearly 91 percent of sexually active teen moms said they used some sort of contraception after they had a baby, but just 20 percent used the most effective method of birth control (an intrauterine device or implant), the report says.

A recent study found that some doctors have misperceptions about which teens can use IUDs and implants (any sexually active teen girl can be a candidate).

The rate of repeat teen births was highest in Texas, where 22 percent of all teen births were to teens who already had a child. The lowest rate was in New Hampshire, at 10 percent.

Other states with high repeat birth rates include Mississippi, Georgia, Arizona and Arkansas, and other states with low repeat birth rates include Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Wyoming.

To help prevent teen pregnancy, health care providers, parents, guardians and caregivers can speak can speak with teens (male and female) about abstinence, as well as the most effective types of birth control.

Evangelists Grieve Over Seattle: ‘It’s Come to a Place Where Grown Men Beg for Money for **** (cannabis)’

Evangelists who visited the city of Seattle last night report that men are now begging on the streets for money to buy drugs since ****(cannabis) use has been legalized in the state.

Don Karns and Shawn Holes are currently conducting a tour of the West Coast, and stopped in Seattle Saturday night to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the streets near the popular Pike’s Market. Even though they have been to the city on several occasions, they stated that this year’s visit was unlike any other.

“I was really shocked,” Karns told Christian News Network. “I was grieved at the way the city has fallen since the last time I was here. … There were about four to five men with these cardboard signs — homemade signs — talking about their need for ****. … I was grieved that things had come to that place where grown men are holding signs obviously begging for ****.”

He shared a story of one man that broke his heart.

“We saw one young man that was sitting there. He claimed his wife was pregnant,” Karns explained. “He showed concern for his wife because she was with child, [but] then he stood up at one point and held up a sign that said, ‘Want Money for Weed.’”

“[I just saw] people as being reduced to not seeing anything as important other than to just get their pleasure from pot smoking,” he lamented.

Holes said that one man that was smoking **** purposefully targeted him with fumes as he preached.

“[There was this] one guy who was blowing his smoke continually in my face, and I was asking him to stop and he wouldn’t,” he recalled. “He just kept doing it over and over and over right up against my face.”

One man approached Karns and Holes who works for a ministry that feeds the poor, and informed them that in the city, it is illegal to feed the homeless. He gave the men burritos and said they could share them with others if they stated they were hungry.

Karns said he was saddened that it was legal to smoke pot in the city, but illegal to help feed the homeless.

“[W]e see a city that would … make it easier for people to get **** … but at the same time, pass a law that would say that it would be illegal to feed a hungry man real food.”

Holes, who was preaching across the street from a crowd of 200 people that were waiting in line to enter a movie theater, said that the rejection of God on the streets was the greatest he had witnessed over the five years that he has been ministering in the city.

“There was such a hatred for the Gospel,” he explained. “There was such anger toward the name of Jesus Christ. We were proclaiming the Good News, and there was such a resistance, and it was so disturbing. All we were trying to do was bring the Good News to the city of Seattle, and all we were getting was rejection, and worse than ever. [It was] just a displayed rebellion against God.”

Karns stated that he believes the city will continue to deteriorate unless God breaks the hearts of the people.

“I don’t see a turn around,” he said. “I would think it is going to continue to digress and continue to get worse next year. I don’t expect to see five people there begging for **** [next year]; I expect to see 25 people begging — 25 grown adults declaring their want and their desire for more ****.”

“My hope is that through preaching [lives will change]. And maybe some other people would come out and share the Gospel with the people,” Karns said. “Because until God changes the heart, I just see the city continuing to sink into depravity.”

Holes agreed. He spoke at an area church today about his heart for the city.

“My prayer for Seattle — and I told the church this — is that some of the young people in the church would hear the call to go out and share the Gospel, that they would respond to the Great Commission of ‘Go,’” Holes said. “My prayer for Seattle is that somebody will go and tell them the good news of Jesus Christ.”

“We’re supposed to love our neighbor as ourselves,” he concluded, his voice breaking as he fought tears. “I’m just hoping that the Christians in the world will start realizing that — that we need to love our neighbors enough to go tell them the good news about Jesus Christ.”

^^ If they use this for medical reasons, wouldn't it be a good thing? No, I'm not familiar with this area, but nonetheless would think it's much better than giving all of these poisonous pharmaceutical drugs.

I exhort him to go back and search the scriptures again, as God clearly tells us the why and how of the world's cities and their corruption and what they will continue to do no matter how hard churchianity street preachers try through the works of their own hands to make it better.

I rejoice at the preaching of Christ as real scripture comes out of a man, but those taking the name of the Lord in vain through the preaching of works, well, "They have their reward".

It's because of "unbelief".

"And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief." Matthew 13:58 (KJB)

FCC May Allow Nudity and Cursing on Television
4/13/13

Vulgar profanities and nudity may soon be shown on broadcast TV if a new proposal from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) goes through.

The FCC stated in an announcement that they were thinking about making changes to the broadcast indecency policies that would allow “isolated expletives” and “non-s**ual nudity” on broadcast TV, which is not permitted at the moment. Only on cable television is such vulgarity allowed. This has set many parents and family rights groups on fire.

Public opinions about this controversial issue will help them make the final decision, according to the FCC.

The general public is invited to share their views on the FCC’s website: http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs//. Just follow the link and click on the “Submit a filing (Express) in the left margin. Then click on the “Proceeding Number 13-86 and follow the simple instructions to leave your comment. Deadline for submission of comments is at the end of April.

If the proposal is passed by the FCC, it would drastically change how we view broadcast TV, according to Director of public policy for the Parents Television Council, Dan Isett.

Isett added that broadcast TV would become more like some of the cable channels such as HBO. This would include an increase in the number of **** scenes and language that may not be suitable for children, he said.

The FCC says that it wants public views and opinions on whether to treat “isolated expletives” as a violation if they are “deliberate” or “repetitive” or should it treat them as a violation if only used once.

When it comes to nudity, the FCC’s position is the same.  ”Should the Commission treat isolated (non-sexual) nudity the same as or differently than isolated expletives?” the group asked.

Isett says that the lack of enforcement on broadcast TV standards, under the current administration, is making the FCC think about making changes to its policies. He added that during the Bush administration, there was enforcement, but now there is nothing.

FCC commissioners are appointed by the president and the rules allow only 3 representatives from the same political party. Accordingly, under the administration of President Obama, there are three Democrats and two Republicans.

President Obama now has to nominate an FCC chairman after Julius Genachowski resigned last March. Genachowski, according to Isett, did not enforce indecency standards.

Isett went on to say that if the American public wants standards of decency that govern broadcast TV and to protect the innocent minds of young children, they should file a public comment on the FCC’s website. He continued that if the public doesn’t “speak up” then it could be “anything goes” for national television.

Colorado Lawmakers Set Taxes And Rules For Marijuana Sales

Colorado is set to become the first U.S. state to regulate and tax sales of recreational marijuana, after lawmakers approved several bills that set business standards and rules. Legislators expect enforcement of the rules to be paid for by two taxes on marijuana — a 15 percent excise tax, and a 10 percent sales tax.

Other measures included in the package set limits on how much marijuana visitors to Colorado can buy (a quarter of an ounce), as well as a limit on how many cannabis plants a private citizen can grow (six).

Gov. John Hickenlooper has indicated he will sign the legislation, according to The Denver Post. Colorado voters first approved the legalization of pot for recreational use by people over age 21 in a ballot initiative last November.

Voters adopted a similar measure in Washington state, where plans for regulation and taxation are still being formed.

"The first legal marijuana should be on sale in Washington in March 2014," reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, "and Colorado will have its cannabis stores open as soon as Jan. 1."

Like all new Colorado taxes, voters must approve the new taxation system in a ballot initiative this autumn.

Other states are already taxing pot, but those levies cover medical marijuana. California reportedly raises more than $100 million a year on such sales.

The Colorado legislation adopted Wednesday also includes a requirement that "pot must be sold in child-resistant packages with labels that specify potency," The Post reports. "Edible marijuana products will have serving-size limits."

UN Report Promotes Child Prostitution and Sexual Slavery

A report by the United Nations Development’s Program’s Global Commission on HIV and the Law, funded in part by a grant from George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, has a peculiar prescription for combating AIDS.

It calls on governments around the world to legalize prostitution, including child prostitution, and drug use.

World Congress of Families Managing Director Larry Jacobs observed: “This is insane.  The ‘reasoning,’ if it can even be called that, is that by criminalizing prostitution, governments promote the spread of AIDS. The report actually claims that women make a rational choice to sell their bodies, based on economic considerations, and should not be discouraged from doing so.  It also claims that age-of-consent laws violate the right of children to be similarly degraded and abused.”

Dr. Janet Shaw Crouse, of Concerned Women for America’s Beverly LaHaye Institute (and a member of the World Congress of Families Management Committee), noted that, should the prescription of the UN report be followed: “We can fully expect increased HIV and sex trafficking, more suffering and deaths, and more underground criminal activity as has been the case everywhere that prostitution has been legalized.

I know we're living in the last days(likely), but there are some news stories where you REALLY are at a loss for words...and come to think of it too, I remember seeing similar plotlines with these news stories in 1980's/1990's movies like "Robocop".

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/headlines/20130514-police-irving-teen-drugged-classmate-forced-her-into-prostitution.ece

Police: Irving teen drugged classmate, forced her into prostitution

An Irving high school student drugged a 15-year-old classmate for several days and forced her to have sex with men who gave him drugs and money in exchange, police said Tuesday.

Nimitz High School student Travis Lekas, 17, is also accused of trying to recruit other students from Nimitz and Bowie Middle School to engage in prostitution. Police said they are working to determine whether Lekas had other victims.

Lekas, who was arrested at his home Monday, faces one count of human trafficking of a minor, one count of compelling prostitution and one count of sexual performance by a child. He is being held in the Irving City Jail with bail set at $175,000.

Police said Lekas persuaded the girl, who was a school acquaintance, to come to his home in the 1300 block of Austin Street near State Highway 183 on April 29. There, he kept her under the influence of marijuana, alcohol and Xanax until May 2, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Lekas forced the girl to have sex with adults, and in exchange, the men gave Lekas money or drugs, the affidavit says.

Police spokesman John Argumaniz said investigators don’t know who the other men were. Argumaniz said the girl escaped and called a family member, who picked her up and notified police.

Irving school Superintendent Dana Bedden said in a written statement Tuesday that the school district is “treating the matter very seriously” but that he would not release further information during the investigation.

“We will cooperate fully with the Irving Police Department and will take appropriate disciplinary action with regard to the student in question,” Bedden said.

Blanca Cameron, who said she was Lekas’ grandmother, called the accusations “lies, lies, lies” on Tuesday in front of the mobile home where the offenses allegedly took place.

She said that Lekas had a girlfriend but that the accuser had been pursuing him romantically. Cameron said the family is considering a lawsuit against the girl.

According to Dallas County records, Irving police arrested Lekas in March on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Youth minister, man on honeymoon among those arrested in prostitution sting
5/13/13

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
An undercover investigation targeting online prostitution ads has resulted in 92 arrests by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Over a period of four days, detectives conducted an investigation into Internet sites related to men and women who were advertising to commit prostitution or who were soliciting others for prostitution.

Among the dozens arrested are a 45-year-old church youth minister from California and a 21-year-old Illinois man who was visiting Orlando for his honeymoon.

"The negative social costs of prostitution hurt families, children, and communities, including the spreading of infectious diseases," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.  "The nexus between prostitution and other crime, such as illegal drugs, violence against women, and human trafficking, is a real problem."

Charges range from crimes associated with prostitution and drugs to battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.  At least one man was charged with traveling to meet a minor, and another man was arrested when deputies said he brought a 15-year-old girl to the undercover location as a prostitute.

Twelve men, commonly known as "pimps," were arrested when they brought prostitutes to the undercover location; 39 suspects arrested were identified as prostitutes; 39 suspects arrested were identified as "johns," or those who wished to pay for sex from prostitutes; and two others were arrested when they accompanied suspects to the location, for other charges.

"Prostitution is illegal, and those who commit or who derive proceeds from this crime in Polk County can expect to go to jail," said Sheriff Judd.  "Whether it is on the street or online, prostitution is illegal and we will continue to investigate and arrest those involved."

Swim coach sentenced for sex abuse
5/23/13
http://msn.foxsports.com/olympics/swimming/story/richard-curl-sentenced-seven-years-in-prison-sexual-abuse-052313

A Virginia man who was once one of the nation's most prominent swimming coaches has been sentenced to seven years in prison for sexually abusing one of the girls he instructed.

Richard J. Curl, who pleaded guilty in February, apologized to the victim Thursday afternoon in Montgomery County Circuit Court.

Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Marielsa Bernard imposed the sentence.

Curl, of Vienna, Va., was banned for life by USA Swimming over allegations of an intimate relationship with a teenage swimmer in the 1980s. He was charged last year after a woman told police that he sexually abused her between the ages of 13 and 18 when he was her swim coach.

Apparently there is no statute of limitation on sexual abuse? We are talking nearly 30 years ago, and she is just now complaining? So women get to take their time and file a complaint when ever they feel like it? I don't mean to belittle what is a very serious situation, but come on, what is with waiting all that time? How can they prove anything after all that time? I think something else is going on with that case.

I just don't understand why these people wait 10-20 years. Makes no sense.

Immorality Is Trending

Gay activists love to point to the changes in public opinion regarding same-sex “marriage,” announcing triumphantly that this is a sign of moral and even spiritual advancement. In reality, it is part of a larger trend toward immorality, a sign of moral bankruptcy and spiritual apostasy.

According to a May 13 Gallup report, “Just three years ago, support for gay marriage was 44 percent. The current 53 percent level of support is essentially double the 27 percent in Gallup's initial measurement on gay marriage, in 1996.”

But let’s put that data into a larger, cultural perspective. A May 20 Gallup report is headlined, “In U.S., Record-High Say Gay, Lesbian Relations Morally OK,” with the subtitle reading, “Americans' tolerance of a number of moral issues up since 2001.”

What exactly is meant by “tolerance”?

The report states, “Americans' views toward a number of moral issues have shifted significantly since 2001. Their acceptance of gay and lesbian relations has increased the most, up 19 percentage points in the past 12 years—to a record high of 59 percent today. Americans' tolerance toward having a baby outside of marriage is also now much greater, up 15 points since 2001 [actually, 2002], to the current 60 percent.”

Oh yes, “tolerance” is alive and well!

So, the America that increasingly deems homosexual relationships to be morally acceptable is the same America that increasingly deems having children out of wedlock (once called “illegitimacy”) to be morally acceptable. And this is supposed to be a sign of progress?

According to the poll, American approval of fornication—or, as the poll put it, “sex between an unmarried man and woman”—was up 10 percent (from 53 percent to 63 percent), while support for polygamy actually doubled, from 7 percent to 14 percent (keep your eye on that stat in the coming years). This is something to celebrate?

In 2001, Gallup didn’t even ask the question of the moral acceptability of teenagers having sexual relationships, but in the current poll, only 63 percent found it morally wrong, while 32 percent expressed their moral approval. How enlightening!

The pollsters used the following script: “I’m going to read you a list of issues. Regardless of whether or not you should think it should be legal, for each one, please tell me whether you personally believe that in general it is morally acceptable or morally wrong.”

Interestingly, while the word sex was used with reference to “sex between an unmarried man and woman” and “sex between teenagers,” and while the word affair was used with reference to “married men and women having an affair,” no such explicit or derogatory term was used with regard to homosexual practice. Rather, that was referred to as “gay or lesbian relations.”

I wonder if the response would have been different if the pollsters had asked about “two men or two women having sex”—unless, of course, “gay and lesbian relations” are all merely platonic. (Please forgive my sarcasm.)

But I digress. What is clear is that American sexual morals are in steady decline, and there is very little that shames us these days. After all, this is the nation in which a young woman’s quickest ticket to fame is a best-selling, graphic sex tape. Sometimes the girl’s parents even gush with pride at their daughter’s achievements, and at the risk of sounding trite, we can honestly say that what used to shame us now makes us famous.

It is against this backdrop that public approval for same-sex relationships continues to increase.

And let’s not forget that the same media that incessantly pushes the cause of gay activism also promotes shows like Teen Mom, glamorizing young women who have children out of wedlock, along with shows like Big Love and Sister Wives, normalizing and even celebrating polygamy. And this has no effect on the public’s perceptions?

Leading the way in these changing views toward gay and lesbian relations is the younger generation, aged 18-29. According to Gallup, in 1996, 41 percent of them supported same-sex “marriage”; today, that number is up to 70 percent. But this is the same age group that believes that roughly 30 percent of the population is gay or lesbian—an error of 1,000 percent! (The best studies put the number at roughly 3 percent.) Does the media have nothing to do with these skewed perspectives?

We should also remember that Barna polls conducted over the last 15 years indicate that only 0.5 percent of Americans aged 18-23 held to what Barna defined as a biblical worldview, in contrast with about 10 percent of the population as a whole. Is it any surprise, then, that they are so strongly supportive of same-sex relationships?

As for our country’s increasing “tolerance,” it is not happening quickly enough for 18-year-old Kaitlyn Hunt and her family. She has been arrested for having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl, one which her father says was consensual.

The Daily Kos reports, “Florida teen Kaitlyn Hunt, 18, is seeing her young life turned upside down and her future jeopardized simply because she fell in love. Unfortunately for her, she fell in love with a younger girl who has vindictive bigots for parents.”

Her father, Steven Hunt, wants prosecutors “to drop the two charges filed against his daughter in February. A rainbow-colored ‘Stop the hate, free Kate’ page on the online petition site Change.org had more than 56,500 supporters calling for prosecutors to drop the charges Monday afternoon, and a similar ‘Free Kate’ Facebook group page had more than 30,000 members.”

Well, just give it a little more time. Soon enough, these things will be accepted too. Immorality is trending.

Yes, with all of this back and forth Hegelian Dialectic debate b/w the "religious right" and "gay activists" over this issue, what has been lost in all of this is fornication and pre-marital sex that has been pushed in our society for years and years.

It's all and good how churches in America have warned against homosexuality(well, they didn't do it too much, but for a good while they did it enough - ie, when that 2004 SSM ban added to the US Constitution legislation was proposed, etc) - however, NOT ONCE did you ever hear from these "religious right"/moral majority leaders like Falwell, Robertson, Bauer, etc how no-fault divorce, cohabitations outside of marriage(b/w men and women, that is), etc were wrong. Probably not surprising b/c 2 of their own members, Charles Stanley and Hal Lindsey, were divorced.

But nonetheless when they stayed silent in the 1980's when cohabitations outside of marriage started getting tolerated, it was as if they had a beam in their own eyes(and henceforth couldn't judgeth all things properly), that no one could take the "religious right" leaders nor the modern-day church seriously. But of course, their Hegelian Dialectic game was all by design. This has been my big beef with Ronald Reagan in the 80's, if anything - when all of these abominations were going on, the RR leaders/church just STAYED SILENT - they acted like this country was getting many blessings with this supposedly conservative/Christian President.(and now they're all of a sudden figuring this out, and trying to fight back at these issues with Obama in office)

And yeah, you can't deny all of the indoctrination in entertainment media and public schools having an effect on the youth - sure, these "polls" can be rigged and exaggerated, but nonetheless I don't recall this level of wickedness and abominations in society like this even back in the 1980's.

Cheerleader accused of prostituting younger student

A suburban Minneapolis high school cheerleader is accused of prostituting a younger student by creating an online ad and taking her to see potential customers, pocketing $60 in one case.

Montia Marie Parker, 18, of Maple Grove, faces felony charges of sex trafficking and promoting prostitution. She is scheduled to appear in court June 12.

Parker was a senior at Hopkins High School when she allegedly set up a Backpage.com ad for a 16-year-old, driving her to an apartment to have oral sex with a man, and taking the $60 the girl made. Authorities allege Parker and the girl drove to another home the next day, but left after the man refused oral sex.

The girl's mother called police after reading text messages between her daughter and Parker on the girl's cellphone, the Star Tribune reported.

Parker's attorney did not immediately return a phone message left by The Associated Press on Tuesday evening. A home phone listing for Parker could not be found.

The 16-year-old had mentioned to others that she was trying to make some money. Parker sent the girl a Facebook message and text message about how she could make money having sex, requesting that the girl send her photos of herself, the charges allege.

Parker posted the photos on Backpage.com, listing her phone number as the contact, the charges said. On March 5, the girls left school and went to an apartment building. When the younger girl returned to the car, she gave Parker the $60 and Parker deposited it into her own bank account, according to the complaint.

The next day, Parker pretended to be the girl's mother and called the school to get her excused, the charges said. The girls left school and went to a home where the girl was directed to have sex with a man. She refused.

"You'll be fine — I didn't drive up here for nothing, and eventually you will need to have sex," Parker told the girl, according to the complaint. The girl told the man she wouldn't have intercourse with him but would give him oral sex. The man refused and Parker drove the girl back to Hopkins High School, according to the complaint.

The girl's mother checked her daughter's cellphone after noticing changes in her daughter's behavior and hearing that she had an unexcused absence from school.

Minneapolis Lt. Kim Lund, president of the Minnesota Juvenile Officers' Association, said authorities have noticed more cases within the last five years involving teen girls using Backpage.com. However, Lund said, it's unusual to have a case involving a teen prostituting a fellow teen; most human trafficking cases involve adult men or women contacting teens.

Parker admitted to police that she had created the ad and told them she received "a lot of calls" related to it, according to the complaint. She's free on $50,000 bond.

Hopkins High School's last day of classes is Thursday, but school officials said they acted immediately after learning of the charges. The school has about 1,800 students.

"In responding to this incident, we followed our discipline and safety policy, which includes permanently removing a student from campus," the district said in a statement.
