Senator Lamar Alexander – An Obama Waterboy“It is a known fact that the policies of the government today, whether Republican or Democrat are closer to the 1932 platform of the Communist Party than they are to either of their own party platforms in that critical year.”
–Walter Trohan (1903-2003) Chicago Tribune reporter (1929-1972) and bureau chief in Washington, D.C.

Senator Lamar Alexander has been a thorn in Tennessee’s side since 1979. He is not a conservative Republican.
In fact, truth be known, he has sided with Obama over 62% of the time. Right now he is acting as the bagman for his buddy, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, and his great desire to tax the internet and put more small businesses out-of-business.
First though, let’s look at Lamar’s history. He has worked in the private sector for only short periods of time. Lamar was Born in Maryville, Tennessee, which is only 20 minutes from where I live. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and New York University School of Law.
In 1967, Alexander joined the campaign of Howard Baker, who became the first Tennessee Republican elected to the Senate in four decades. Alexander then accompanied him to Washington.
It was at a Hill staff softball game that he met his wife, Leslee “Honey” Buhler. She was working for Senator John Tower, the man instrumental in getting John McCain elected to the House.
In the early years of their marriage, she raised their four children while doing volunteer work, specifically for Planned Parenthood. She was also a member of the board of the Corporation of Public Broadcasting (NPR and PBS). Alexander worked as a legislative assistant to GOP sellout Senator Howard Baker, (Link).
In 1982, for no apparent reason, but to go along and get along, then-Republican Senate MAJORITY Leader, and CFR member, Howard Baker, entered into an agreement with the Ku Klux Klansman from West Virginia, (Democrat Senator Robert Byrd). This agreement effectively barred Republicans from pursuing suspected cases of voter fraud without first getting a federal court’s approval. Thus, the reason why the GOP won’t challenge vote fraud, and we saw plenty of it in 2012! Baker, who mentored Fred Thompson into politics in 1972, was also part of the “Panama Canal giveaway team” during the administration of President Jimmy Carter, another CFR member. Seems Lamar learned well from his position with Baker.
Remember, Howard Baker’s second wife is Nancy Kassebaum Baker who was instrumental in pushing a Constitutional Convention in the early 80s, which we fought and thankfully defeated. Kassebaum is a moderate-to-liberal Republican who is known for her health care legislation, the Kennedy-Kassebaum Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, which was co-sponsored by Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy, well known socialist democrat.
U.S. Secretary for Education Czar, Arne Duncan, delivered the spring Baker Distinguished Lecture at the University of Tennessee last April, 2013. Fully twenty minutes of his speech was lauding Senator Howard Baker and Nancy Kassebaum, both of whom were in the audience. Here is the link to Duncan’s speech, which I wrote about in The Heartless Bureaucracy. My friend, Karen Bracken, described this speech perfectly when she said, “Listening to Duncan speak about education reform was like having needles poked in my eyes.”
Lamar Alexander was also an assistant in the failed Nixon Administration in the late 1960s. In his first campaign for Governor of Tennessee in 1974, his opponent, Congressman Ray Blanton, used the Nixon Watergate scandal, and the President’s ultimate resignation, to defeat Alexander. Because of Blanton’s own scandals, he did not seek re-election, so in 1978, Alexander ran for governor again and defeated Knoxville Democrat Jake Butcher, (of banking scandal fame) serving as the 45th
Governor of Tennessee from 1979 to 1987.
In 1991, he was nominated by President
George H. W. Bush to serve as Secretary of Education, from 1991 to 1993. Alexander ran unsuccessfully for the Republican presidential nomination in 1996 and 2000.
He defeated Democratic Congressman Bob Clement to replace outgoing Senator Fred Thompson in 2002, and won reelection in 2008. Alexander announced that he will run for reelection in 2014.
Out of misguided local loyalty, the conservative voters in Tennessee have repeatedly elected homegrown globalists. Among them are prominent United States Senators, Howard Baker, Bill Frist, Fred Thompson, and of course Lamar Alexander.
All four of those Republican senators from Tennessee were members of the globalist Council on Foreign Relations during their tenure in the United States Senate.
Just what kind of Republican and politician is Lamar Alexander? I think most old-right conservative Tennesseans know, and there’s even a petition circulating to get a true conservative challenger against Lamar in the 2014 election. Let’s look at who is behind putting Lamar in office for the third time as Tennessee’s senior senator.
