CLIMATE CHANGE CON ARTISTS TURN TO POPE FRANCIS AND RELIGION TO PUSH GLOBALIST DOCTRINE
In the first five days of climate change negotiations, interfaith activists came, fasted, talked to media, buttonholed leaders and prayed. On Saturday night in a downtown Paris chapel, hundreds of people, many of them prostrated on the ground, sang and prayed for the climate negotiators and mostly for the world.

12/7/15

THE COLD HARD NUMBERS OF CLIMATE CHANGE SCIENCE HAVEN’T SPURRED THE WORLD TO CURB RUNAWAY GLOBAL WARMING. SO AS CLIMATE NEGOTIATORS STRUGGLE IN PARIS, SOME SCIENTISTS WHO APPEALED TO THE RATIONAL BRAIN ARE ENLISTING WHAT MANY WOULD CONSIDER A HIGHER POWER: THE MAJESTY OF FAITH.

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” 2 Peter 3:10-13 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: AS CLIMATE CHANGE EDGES EVER-CLOSER TO BECOMING THE OFFICIAL RELIGION OF THIS LOST WORLD WE LIVE IN, POPE FRANCIS HAS BECOME THE LEADER IN THIS GLOBALIST MOVEMENT OF EARTH WORSHIP. IF THE UNHOLY, CHILDLESS “FATHER” OF THE CATHOLIC RELIGION WOULD ONLY OPEN HIS BIBLE AND READ WHAT PETER SAYS THAT GOD PLANS ON DOING WITH THIS SIN-CURSED WORLD, PERHAPS HE WOULD HAVE A BURDEN FOR LOST SOULS INSTEAD OF TRYING TO SAVE A PLANET GOD IS GOING TO TORCH ANYWAY.

IT’S NOT GOD VERSUS SCIENCE, BUT FOLLOWERS OF GOD AND SCIENCE TOGETHER TRYING TO SAVE HUMANITY AND THE PLANET, THEY SAY.

Physicist John Schellnhuber, founder of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany, said he has been coming to these international talks for 11 years and essentially seen negotiators throw up their hands and say “sorry guys we tried our best.” And no one protested. But this time, with the power of Pope Francis’ encyclical earlier this year calling global warming a moral issue and an even more energized interfaith community, Schellnhuber feels the world’s faithful are watching and will hold world leaders accountable.

POPE FRANCIS URGES THE UNITED STATES TO ACT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

“They know they will be measured against the encyclical,” Schellnhuber, a member of the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences, said Saturday at a Catholic Church event. Ever the scientist, Schellnhuber said on Saturday he hadn’t seen any evidence yet during the first week of negotiations that this will happen, but he has faith it will.

FAITH “IS MUCH DEEPER” THAN SCIENCE, SAID CAROLINE BADER OF THE GENEVA-BASED LUTHERAN WORLD FEDERATION.

And so are their numbers. Bader said interfaith leaders recently handed top United Nations negotiators a petition with 1.8 million signatures begging for meaningful climate action. Such action was also sought by Brother Alois Taize, a Catholic member of the ecumenical monastery, as he was preaching at the song-laden service about how the faithful and the world have to open their eyes to solutions to global warming.

“THE ENVIRONMENT MOVEMENT, WHICH HAS PRIMARILY BEEN A SECULAR ONE, HAS REALIZED THAT OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS OR SO IT’S NOT BEEN THAT SUCCESSFUL IN ACHIEVING ITS GOALS,” JOE WARE OF CHRISTIAN AID WROTE IN AN EMAIL FROM THE PARIS TALKS. “INCREASINGLY IT HAS LOOKED TO FAITH GROUPS FOR HELP IN MOBILIZING A BROADER MOVEMENT OF PEOPLE CALLING FOR ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE. THEY ARE ACTUALLY NATURAL ALLIES AS ALMOST ALL FAITHS HAVE A THEOLOGY OF CREATION CARE AT THEIR HEART.”

Scripps Institution of Oceanography scientist Veerabhadran Ramanathan, a non-Catholic who advised Pope Francis on climate and is on the pontiff’s science academy, says he thinks this new alliance will play a major role in what he hopes will be a historic agreement.

BUT FOR RAMANATHAN, NOW A MEMBER OF THE HOLY SEE’S DELEGATION TO THE CLIMATE TALKS, IT’S MORE THAN SCIENCE OR HISTORY. ABOUT FOUR YEARS AGO HE HAD A MOMENT THAT HE CALLED “A REVELATION.”

He was presenting a paper on glacier melt to the scientists at the pontifical academy. It was academic and laid out the conclusions in cold hard facts. But then the chancellor to the academy, a bishop, added one sentence to the end: “If we want justice and peace, we must protect the habitat that sustains us.”

It was quickly agreed to and Ramanathan started to look at climate science not as an academic issue but an issue of justice, because those who are hurt the most by climate change are the world’s poorest 3 billion. He started volunteering, working with the poor and examining his own consumption habits, like how much he drives.

Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, said Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si is less about ecology than morality and fairness.

“Climate change is a global problem with serious social, environmental, economic, distributional and political dimensions, and poses one of the greatest challenges for humanity,” the bishop said Saturday. “The poor populations are the most severely affected even though they are the least responsible.”

Pope Francis, called a rock star by young religious climate activists, was not in Paris. But as he spoke to faithful in St. Peter’s Square Sunday he appealed to those deciding on climate change measures to show courage by also fighting poverty, saying “the two choices go together.” source

Pope tells Church to embrace modern world as he launches Jubilee
12/8/15
http://news.yahoo.com/pope-francis-opens-st-peters-holy-door-launch-102813909.html

Vatican City (AFP) - Pope Francis on Tuesday launched an extraordinary Catholic Jubilee year of mercy by opening a "Holy Door" in the walls of St Peter's, embracing a 700-year-old tradition as he urged his Church to reach out to the modern world.

"This is the door of the Lord. Open to me the gates of justice," the Argentinian pontiff said before being helped up three marble steps to push the giant bronze doors open.

In a break with tradition that reflected Francis's modernising instincts, the order to open the doors was delivered in Italian rather than Latin.

The 78-year-old then paused on the threshold of the renaissance basilica for two minutes of silent prayer before walking inside in an act to be carried out by millions of pilgrims before the Jubilee closes next November.

Francis was followed gingerly through the door by his frail predecessor, the now-retired Benedict XVI, 88, and by hundreds of cardinals, bishops and male and female members of religious orders.

Clutching a walking stick in his right-hand and looking extremely pale, Benedict, 88, was helped into the basilica on the arm of his assistant Georg Ganswein.

Amid heightened security following recent terror attacks around the world, the Vatican said 70,000 pilgrims had packed into St Peter's square and surrounding streets to watch Francis open the usually bricked-up wall in the facade of the renaissance basilica.

Many had tears rolling down their cheeks or eyes clenched shut in prayer as Francis ordered the door open for the first time since the last Jubilee, in 2000.

Among them was Cecilia Koo from South Korea. "This pope says he is here to serve. He is one of my favourites," she said.

Polish friends Teresa and Carolina were returning to Rome after coming for John Paul II's Jubilee 15 years ago.

"What will I change to mark the Jubilee? I think I'll give some change to a homeless beggar that I usually ignore," confided Teresa.

Francis used his homily to underline the significance of his decision to start the Jubilee on the 50th anniversary of the end of the second Vatican Council, a gathering of bishops credited with a modernisation of the Church that Francis is attempting to emulate.

Francis said the 1960s council had allowed the Church to emerge from self-enclosure.

"It was the resumption of a journey of encountering people where they live: in their cities and homes, in their workplaces," he said.

"Wherever there are people, the Church is called to reach out to them and to bring the joy of the gospel."

For Francis's predecessor, the German-born Joseph Ratzinger, Tuesday's ceremony represented a rare public outing.

The Emeritus Pope, as he is officially known, has lived in seclusion within the Vatican since retiring in 2013 as failing health left him incapable of running an institution beset by the clerical sex abuse scandal and internecine bickering in its upper echelons.

Tuesday's celebrations will conclude in the evening when images by some of the world's greatest environmental photographers will be projected onto the facade of Saint Peter's in an initiative linked to the ongoing global climate conference in Paris.

- Mercy not judgement -

The Jubilee, which runs until November 20, 2016, was called by Francis with the express goal of changing the way the Church is perceived by the faithful, lapsed believers and the rest of the world.

"How much wrong we do to God and his grace when we speak of sins being punished by his judgment before we speak of their being forgiven by his mercy," he said on Tuesday.

"We have to put mercy before judgment ... Let us set aside all fear and dread, for these do not befit men and women who are loved."

In a surprise move reflecting that aim, Francis announced in September that for the duration of the Jubilee, priests would be given special dispensation to absolve women who have had abortions.

In addition, some 800 priests around the world are to be designated "missionaries of mercy" tasked with encouraging higher levels of confession amongst believers.

Those involved have been selected for their ability to preach well, understand human frailty and ensure the confessional is not experienced "like a torture chamber" as the pope has put it.

Francis's push for a less judgemental, more understanding Church has encountered fierce resistance from traditionalists opposed to any relaxation of teaching on hot-button subjects such as homosexuality, divorce and unmarried cohabitation.

Traditionally, Catholics were expected to make a pilgrimage to Rome to benefit from the indulgences on offer to the faithful who pass through the Holy Doors during Jubilee years.

Francis has effectively done away with this custom by ordering cathedrals around the world to open their own Holy Doors. That will happen on Sunday, when Francis himself opens the door at one of Rome's major churches, St John Lateran.

Historic Vatican accord with Palestine takes effect
http://news.yahoo.com/historic-vatican-accord-palestine-takes-effect-160834578.html
1/2/16

Vatican City (AFP) - The Vatican's first accord with the Palestinians -- an agreement that Israel has attacked as counter-productive to the Middle East peace process -- has come into force, the Holy See announced Saturday.

The accord was signed in June, just over two years after the Roman Catholic Church recognised the Palestinian territories as a sovereign state in February 2013.

The accord covers the operation of the Church in areas of the Holy Land under Palestinian control but its significance has been seen in broader terms as a symbol of growing international backing for a Palestinian state.

"With reference to the Comprehensive Agreement between the Holy See and the State of Palestine, signed on 26 June 2015, the Holy See and the State of Palestine have notified each other that the procedural requirements for its entry into force have been fulfilled," a Vatican statement said.

"The agreement... regards essential aspects of the life and activity of the Church in Palestine, while at the same time reaffirming the support for a negotiated and peaceful solution to the conflict in the region."

In June, the Vatican hailed the agreement, which includes provisions to protect the rights of Christians, as a model for other Arab and Muslim states in their relations with Christian minorities facing increasing persecution in the Middle East.

Israel attacked the accord as premature and counterproductive to efforts to get the Palestinians to resume direct negotiations with the Jewish state.

The Vatican's recognition of the state of Palestine -- joining dozens of others -- followed a November 2012 vote in favour of recognition by the UN General Assembly.

The Church has had diplomatic relations with Israel since 1993 but has yet to conclude an agreement on Christian rights there. Negotiations on the subject have been running since 1999 but have repeatedly run into deadlock over the status of Jerusalem.

http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/why-is-pope-francis-having-a-closed-door-meeting-with-google-ceo-at-the-vatican/
WHY IS POPE FRANCIS HAVING A CLOSED DOOR MEETING WITH GOOGLE CHIEF EXEC AT THE VATICAN?
Google declined to respond to several requests for comment over the past 24 hours about the meeting. The planned encounter was first mooted in a barely noticed tweet two days ago by a man named Iacopo Scaramuzzi, who has been described on Twitter as a Vaticanista, or Vatican expert.

1/13/16

POPE FRANCIS, WHO MORE THAN A BILLION CATHOLICS BELIEVE IS GOD’S REPRESENTATIVE ON EARTH, WILL MEET WITH POWERFUL SILICON VALLEY GOOGLE EXECUTIVE AND PHILANTHROPIST ERIC SCHMIDT FOR 15 MINUTES AT THE VATICAN IN ROME.

“And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.”  Revelation 19:9,10 (KJV)

Prophecy watchers are looking with great interest on the upcoming private meeting between the uber-powerful technology titan Eric Schmidt from Google, and the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis. Many pro-Vatican pundits have long acknowledged that Francis is not content to merely be the Pope, and wants to form strategic alliances to expand his borders. Revelation 17 and 18 says that the he has much bigger shoes to fill than the ones he is currently wearing.

A source close to the Vatican, who was familiar with the details of the meeting but not authorised to speak on the record, confirmed the brief meeting would take place on Friday. Another source familiar with the meeting said Schmidt was due to meet with the pope privately along with Jared Cohen, a former US state department official who is now head of Google Ideas. Schmidt co-wrote a book with Cohen in 2013 called The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business.

Google declined to respond to several requests for comment over the past 24 hours about the meeting. The planned encounter was first mooted in a barely noticed tweet two days ago by a man named Iacopo Scaramuzzi, who has been described on Twitter as a Vaticanista, or Vatican expert.

This meeting comes on the heels of the release of the Pope’s One World Religion video the other day. All regimes require money, power and influence, and Eric Schmidt possess all three of those things in abundance. As head of Google, his ability to sway and influence public opinion is nearly unlimited. Imagine how much ground could be covered via social media with a Google sponsored endorsement of the Vatican’s agenda. Having the Pope’s “blessing” would likewise also open up new doors of opportunity for Google with it’s military ambitions.

Google and the Vatican share one major, overarching ambition. They both desire to reshape the future.

Let the partnership begin…the Beast is waking up.

http://news.yahoo.com/pope-francis-visit-sweden-october-mark-reformation-anniversary-113851358.html
500 years after reformation, Pope knocks on Lutherans' door
1/24/16

Vatican City (AFP) - Pope Francis will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation by attending an ecumenical service in Sweden as a guest of the Lutheran church, the Vatican said Monday.

In a highly symbolic act of reconciliation that would even recently have been unthinkable for a Catholic pontiff, Francis will visit the Swedish city of Lund on October 31 for a commemoration jointly organised by his own inter-faith agency and the Lutheran World Federation (LWF).

The surprise move will see the head of the world's Catholics worship alongside the heirs to a religious tradition founded in opposition to the church of Rome and which once regarded the pope as the anti-Christ.

The modern-day Lutheran church in Sweden continues to uphold principles that are anathema to all but the most radical Catholic theologians: it has had a female archbishop, Antje Jackelen, since 2013; has ordained women pastors since 1960 and embraces homosexuality to the point of having both lesbian and gay bishops.

Jackelen said Monday she hoped the commemoration would "contribute to Christian unity in our country and throughout the world."

In a joint statement, the two churches said the event would "highlight the solid ecumenical developments between Catholics and Lutherans."

The event may nevertheless raise eyebrows among some conservatives on both sides -- Francis came under fire in November for suggesting a Lutheran could take communion from a Catholic priest.

At a service Monday in Rome, Francis asked forgiveness for the way Catholics had treated other Christian believers over the years, and also invited Catholics to pardon those who had persecuted them.

"We cannot undo what happened but we cannot allow the weight of the mistakes of the past to poison our relations," he said.

The service in Lund will take place exactly one year before the 500th anniversary of German monk Martin Luther nailing his famous written protest against the Church's abuses of its power to the door of a church in Wittenberg.

The act of defiance of papal authority resulted in Luther being excommunicated and declared an outlaw by Rome.

The posting of the "95 theses" is considered the starting point of the Reformation -- a dissenting movement that created a religious and political schism in Europe which took centuries to fully unfold and featured many violent chapters before Protestant churches became dominant across most of northern Europe.

- No to papal infallibility -

The numerous conflicts and waves of repression related to the Reformation left a legacy of deep mistrust between the Catholic and Protestant wings of Christianity which has only subsided in the last half-century.

Martin Junge, the LWF general secretary, said such divisions belonged to the past.

"I'm carried by the profound conviction that by working towards reconciliation between Lutherans and Catholics, we are working towards justice, peace and reconciliation in a world torn apart by conflict and violence," he said in a statement.

Cardinal Kurt Koch, the president of the Vatican's Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU), said a "Christocentric approach" was required.

The Lund event is part of a dialogue in which the Lutheran and Catholic churches are attempting to agree on a common account of the painful events of the reformation.

The two Churches agreed in 1999 on a joint statement addressing the theological issues at the root of the upheaval.

These included questions such as whether humans could earn their place in heaven through good deeds or whether salvation comes exclusively through the grace of God.

Luther and his followers championed the Bible's translation into local languages and its status as the sole source of divine authority.

They also opposed the sale of indulgences and other forms of clerical corruption and challenged notions such as the idea of penance, the veneration of saints, the existence of purgatory and the infallibility of popes.

POPE FRANCIS HOLDS CLOSED-DOOR POLITICAL MEETING WITH IRAN PRESIDENT HASSAN ROUHANI
Pope Francis' papacy has emphasized mediation and conflict-resolution, including his role in helping Cuba and the United States to normalize their relations.

1/26/16
http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/pope-francis-holds-closed-door-political-meeting-with-iran-president-hassan-rouhani-nteb/

THE VATICAN MEETING WAS A KEY PART OF THE IRANIAN EFFORT TO TAKE A MORE PROMINENT PLACE ON THE WORLD STAGE AFTER THE NUCLEAR DEAL WITH WESTERN POWERS.

“For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” Revelation 17:17,18 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: Revelation 17 and 18 say that the **** of Babylon, commonly known as the Vatican, will “reign over the kings of the earth” politically, economically and spiritually. So today’s unprecedented meeting at the Vatican between Pope Francis and Iran’s president is fascinating. Here we have Pope Francis and the Vatican controlling a Muslim nation like Iran, making political deals and ending it with the Muslim president actually asking the Roman Pope to “pray for him”. It’s like Revelation 17 is LEAPING off the pages and into the headlines. Francis is getting very close to trading in his pope’s fish hat for a king’s crown.

VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis held talks with Iran’s president at the Vatican Tuesday, calling on Tehran to play a key role in stopping the spread of terrorism as Iran tries to improve its image in the global arena following an agreement on its nuclear program.

HOLY SEE: IRANIAN PRES. ROUHANI AND POPE FRANCIS EXCHANGE GIFTS IN VATICAN VISIT

The pontiff warmly clasped the hand of President Hassan Rouhani in the first official call paid on a pontiff by an Iranian president since 1999. They held 40 minutes of private talks before Rouhani met with other top Vatican officials.

THE TALKS “DELVED INTO THE CONCLUSION AND APPLICATION OF THE NUCLEAR ACCORD, AND THE IMPORTANT ROLE THAT IRAN IS CALLED UPON TO PLAY, TOGETHER WITH OTHER COUNTRIES OF THE REGION, WAS HIGHLIGHTED,” THE HOLY SEE SAID.

It added that that role should “foster adequate political solutions to the issues plaguing the Middle East, fighting the spread of terrorism and arms trafficking.”

The “cordial” talks also stressed common spiritual values, the statement said.

Usually it’s the pope who asks his audience to pray for him. This time, after the two men spoke with the help of Italian and Farsi language translators, it was the guest who asked the pope for prayers. “I ask you to pray for me,” Rouhani said.

The Vatican meeting was a key part of the Iranian effort to take a more prominent place on the world stage after the nuclear deal with Western powers.

Iran, which agreed to limit its nuclear activities in exchange for an end to economic sanctions, is eager to carve out a bigger role in mediating Middle East conflicts. Pope Francis’ papacy has emphasized mediation and conflict-resolution, including his role in helping Cuba and the United States to normalize their relations.

'Finally:' Pope meets Russian Orthodox leader
2/12/16
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/finally-pope-meets-russian-orthodox-leader/ar-BBppN3O?ocid=spartandhp

HAVANA (AP) — Pope Francis met Friday with Patriarch Kirill in the first-ever papal meeting with the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, an historic development in the 1,000-year schism that divided Christianity that may, however, be more about Russia asserting itself than any new ecumenical progress.

"Finally!" Francis exclaimed as he embraced Kirill in the small, wood-paneled VIP room of Havana's airport, where the three-hour encounter was taking place. "We are brothers."

They kissed one another three times on the cheek, and Kirill told the pope through an interpreter: "Now things are easier."

Francis was having the brief talks in Cuba before heading off on a five-day visit to Mexico, where the pontiff will bring a message of solidarity with the victims of drug violence, human trafficking and discrimination to some of that country's most violent and poverty-stricken regions.

The meeting and signing of a joint declaration was decades in the making and cemented Francis' reputation as a risk-taking statesman who values dialogue, bridge-building and rapprochement at almost any cost.

Indeed, while the meeting with Kirill has been hailed by many as an important ecumenical breakthrough, Francis has also come under criticism for essentially allowing himself to be used by a Russia eager to assert itself among Orthodox Christians and on the world stage at a time when the country is increasingly isolated from the West.

The joint declaration is expected to touch on the single most important issue of shared concern between the Catholic and Orthodox churches today: the plight of Christians in Iraq and Syria who are being killed and driven from their homes by the Islamic State group.

It is being signed in the uniquely ideal location of Cuba: far removed from the Catholic-Orthodox turf battles in Europe, a country that is Catholic and familiar to Latin America's first pope, but equally familiar to the Russian church given its anti-American and Soviet legacy.

The Vatican is hoping the meeting will improve relations with other Orthodox churches and spur progress in dialogue over theological differences that have divided East from West ever since the Great Schism of 1054 split Christianity.

But Orthodox observers say Kirill's willingness to finally meet with a pope has less to do with any new ecumenical impulse than grandstanding within the West and the Orthodox Church at a time when Russia is increasingly under fire from the West over its military actions in Syria and Ukraine. Kirill, a spiritual adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin, leads the most powerful of the 14 independent Orthodox churches that will meet this summer in Greece in the first such pan-Orthodox synod in centuries.

The Russian church has long sought greater influence over the Ecumenical Patriarch in Istanbul.

"This isn't benevolence. It's not a newfound desire for Christian unity," said George Demacopoulos, the Greek-Orthodox chairman of Orthodox Christian studies at Fordham University in New York. "It is almost entirely about (Kirill) posturing and trying to present himself as the leader of Orthodoxy."

Popes as far back as Paul VI have met with the ecumenical patriarch, who is the "first among equals" in the 250 million-strong Orthodox Church and the only patriarch who can speak for global Orthodoxy. But the Russian Church is the biggest, wealthiest and most powerful in Orthodoxy, and has always kept its distance from Rome.

Catholic and Orthodox split in the Great Schism of 1054 and have remained estranged over a host of issues, including the primacy of the pope and, more recently, Russian Orthodox accusations that the Catholic Church was poaching converts in former Soviet lands. Those tensions have prevented previous popes from ever meeting with the Russian patriarch, even though the Vatican has long insisted that it was merely ministering to tiny Catholic communities.

The most vexing issue in recent times centers on the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the country's second-largest, which follows eastern church rites but answers to the Holy See. The Russian Orthodox Church has considered western Ukraine its traditional territory and has resented papal influence there.

Cardinal Kurt Koch, the head of the Vatican office that deals with Orthodox relations, said the Ukrainian church will certainly come up in the two-hour private talks between Francis and Kirill.

"I think it would be impossible to meet without discussing such issues," he told Vatican Radio. But he said the future significance of the meeting could not be overstated.

"It will certainly forge relations within Orthodoxy: We still don't have contact with a lot of Orthodox patriarchs, and this meeting could help develop intra-Orthodox relations ahead of the pan-Orthodox council," he said. "Improved understanding between Rome and Moscow will certainly have positive effects on the theological dialogue."

Such hoped-for progress may seem naive, since the Russian church has always been reluctant to engage in theological dialogue over the primacy of the pope, said the Rev. Stefano Caprio, one of the first priests who arrived in Russia in 1989 to minister to the Catholic community and now is a professor of Russian history and culture at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome.

He said the Russian position has long been: "We're interested in ecumenism only in the sense of collaboration in managing the crises of a Christianity that is attacked in some countries by violent forces ... and above all to unite against global secularization," he said.

He noted, for example, that Friday's meeting doesn't include any joint prayer — purely talks. "It's not an ecumenical encounter," he said.

While a papal trip to Russia is still a long-sought dream, Caprio ruled it out for the foreseeable future.

"It would be a bigger scandal than **** Riot," he said.

Immediately following his meeting with Kirill, the pontiff will fly to Mexico for a weeklong tour that will take him once again to uncharted papal territory.

Among his stops will be the crime-plagued Mexico City suburb of Ecatepec, where his visit will shine an uncomfortable spotlight on the government's failure to solve entrenched social ills that plague many parts of Mexico — inequality, rampant gangland killings, extortion, disappearances of women, crooked cops and failed city services.

He will also visit the mainly indigenous southern state of Chiapas, which has the country's highest poverty rate. There he will celebrate a very Indian Mass and present a decree authorizing the use of indigenous languages in liturgy.

Francis will end his trip in the violent northern city of Ciudad Juarez, where he will pray at the border for all who have died trying to cross into the U.S. — a prayer he hopes will resonate north of the border.

Pope Francis Declares That Muslims And Hindus Are All Children Of God

“All of us together: Muslims, Hindus, Catholics, Copts, Evangelicals ... all brothers and children of the same God,” the pontiff said during a Mass before the foot washing ceremony. “We want to live together in peace.”

3/25/16
http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/pope-francis-declares-that-muslims-hindus-are-all-children-of-god/

Pope Francis is the king of Vatican City, the Roman Catholic **** of Babylon, who has the blood of countless millions on his filthy hands.

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26-28 (KJV)

The Bible emphatically declares that we can only be considered ‘children of God’ by faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. The reason for the new birth found in John 3:3 is because we are all created in the image of Adam since Genesis 5:3. Outside of the Body of Christ, there is no universal brotherhood of man from God’s perspective. But you cannot build a One World Church on such a narrow and exclusive doctrine as that, as Pope Francis is well aware. Please note the following that happened yesterday:

Pope Francis washed and kissed the feet of 12 refugees Thursday at a migrant center in Castelnuovo di Porto outside of Rome, Italy. The ceremony took place as part of the observances of Maundy Thursday, the Holy Thursday before Easter that dates back to the story of Jesus’ Last Supper.

Pope Francis Washes Feet on ‘Holy Thursday’

In a powerful gesture of interfaith embrace, the pontiff knelt down before a group of eight men and four women, among whom were Muslims, Coptic Christians and one Hindu.

“All of us together: Muslims, Hindus, Catholics, Copts, Evangelicals … all brothers and children of the same God,” the pontiff said during a Mass before the foot washing ceremony. “We want to live together in peace.”

Islam rejects Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and reduces Him to the level of a mere prophet, like Mohammed. Neither do Hindus recognize Jesus Christ as the appointed Messiah to Israel. Because of that, God does not consider Muslims or Hindus to be His children because they reject the sin payment Jesus made on the cross.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 (KJV)

If Pope Francis really loved the Muslims and Hindus, if he really wanted to show them true compassion, he would open up a King James Bible and show them how to get saved and become born again. But the pope never tells anyone how to get saved, he never tells them of their need to become born again.

“And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” Revelation 18:16,24 (KJV)

Pope Francis is the king of Vatican City, the Roman Catholic **** of Babylon, who has the blood of countless millions on his filthy hands. He washed and kissed their feet, and never once told them how to get saved. That is the work of Antichrist.

http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/pope-francis-tells-roman-church-that-its-time-to-accept-the-homosexual/

Pope Francis Gives An ‘Apostolic Exhortation’ To Accept The Open Homosexual In Catholic Church

Pope Francis emphasizes that "unjust discrimination" against gay men and lesbians is unacceptable, downplays the idea of "living in sin," and suggests that priests should use their own discretion on whether divorced Catholics in new marriages can take Communion.

4/8/16

Pope Francis put his shoulder to the doors of the Catholic Church and shoved them open a little wider Friday, calling for the church to be more tolerant in practice, while not changing any official doctrines.

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” Romans 1:26,27 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: The Catholic Church brags that it  never changes, and on some levels we agree with that statement. They were wrong from the moment they were founded by Constantine in 325 AD, and have never been right. But in practical terms, the Roman harlot is changing dramatically as Pope Francis is steadily and firmly letting Catholics know that in the “new” Catholic church, the ‘out-and-active’ LGBT will be welcome with open arms. The Vatican’s official line is that this is ‘not a change of church doctrine’, but it absolutely is. The One World Church is coming together rapidly.

Pope Francis urged priests around the world to be more accepting of gay men and lesbians, divorced Catholics and other people living in what the church considers “irregular” situations. “A pastor cannot feel that it is enough simply to apply moral laws … as if they were stones to throw at people’s lives,” Francis writes in a sweeping paper outlining his stance on family matters. He urges more common sense and less unthinking following of rules.

“By thinking that everything is black and white, we sometimes close off the way of grace and growth,” he writes. He emphasizes that “unjust discrimination” against gay men and lesbians is unacceptable, downplays the idea of “living in sin,” and suggests that priests should use their own discretion on whether divorced Catholics in new marriages can take Communion.

The paper has much to please both liberals and conservatives, though it may not go far enough for either group within the church.

“I understand those who prefer a more rigorous pastoral care which leaves no room for confusion. But I sincerely believe that Jesus wants a Church attentive to the goodness which the Holy Spirit sows in the midst of human weakness,” he writes. The statements come in a highly anticipated paper called “On Love in the Family,” or “Amoris Laetitia” in Latin. Running more than 260 pages, it comes after Francis summoned the world’s Catholic bishops twice to discuss the issues in conferences known as synods. The first was in October 2014, and the second was a year later. Francis has been working on the document since then.

For those paying attention to Francis since he became pope three years ago, the opinions in the paper are unlikely to come as a surprise.

This is, after all, the pope who said, “Who am I to judge?” when asked about homosexuality. The Pope said what?!? But Friday’s paper is not simply a remark made in an interview. It’s what’s called an “apostolic exhortation.”

That means it is an official statement from the Pope on how Catholics should live their lives. It’s the second exhortation Francis has issued since taking the throne of St. Peter, and the first based entirely on synods he summoned himself.

His aim “is to help families — in fact, everyone — experience God’s love and know that they are welcome members of the church,” said the Rev. James Martin, a Jesuit priest and writer who called the paper a “groundbreaking new document.” On divorced Catholics, whose religious lives Francis has made it a priority to ease, the Pope writes: “The divorced who have entered a new union should be made to feel part of the Church.”

“It can no longer simply be said that all those living in any ‘irregular situation’ are living in a state of mortal sin,” he writes. source

Pope Francis Abandons Christian Syrian Refugees, Takes Only Muslims To Vatican Instead

Spokesman Massimiliano Signifredi called the incident 'regrettable' - adding: 'The problem here is the three Syrians arrived after the March 20 deadline. They arrived just after the agreement between the European Union and Turkey. Mr Signifredi said: 'Our staff went to Lesbos and spoke with the people who were selected. But everything was decided by the Vatican.

Christian brother and sister refugees from Syria say they have been ‘let down’ by Pope Francis after he left them behind in a Lesbos refugee camp despite promises they would be given a new life in Italy.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Pope Francis, in a ‘gesture of compassion’ decided to take 12 Muslim Syrian refugees back to the Vatican to live. But when it was discovered that 2 of the 12 Syrian refugees were actually Christians, and not Muslims, they were dropped like a hot potato and told they could not come even though the Vatican had promised to take them. As usual, Middle Eastern Christians get nothing while all the focus remains on the Muslims. That’s the agenda from your New World Order pope.

Roula and Malek Abo say they were two of the lucky ‘chosen 12’ refugees selected by the Vatican to be taken from the desperate camp and housed in Rome. But what seemed like the chance of a lifetime was cruelly snatched away when they were told the following day they couldn’t go. Instead three Muslim families were taken.

Roula, 22, and her brother arrived on Lesbos on April 1 – ten days after the controversial EU deal to return all asylum seekers arriving to Greece from Turkey.

Their application for asylum is being process and they are waiting to learn if they will be sent back to Turkey. Stuck on Lesbos, Roula told MailOnline: ‘If they can do this for 12 people they can do it for more.

‘If you have promised to take people back to Italy will something like registration papers stand in your way?’

Neither Community Sant’Egidio, the charity which organised the trip, or the Vatican would explain the selection process over which migrants were picked.

Spokesman Massimiliano Signifredi called the incident ‘regrettable’ – adding: ‘The problem here is the three Syrians arrived after the March 20 deadline. They arrived just after the agreement between the European Union and Turkey.

Mr Signifredi said: ‘Our staff went to Lesbos and spoke with the people who were selected. But everything was decided by the Vatican.

‘The question why the Pope took only Muslims is difficult to understand and he was suffering, I think, because he wanted to do something also for Christians as the chief of the Catholic Church. But he couldn’t because there is this international agreement [with the EU].’

The Vatican declined to comment

Still reeling over her dream being so cruelly dashed, Roula had to watch the three fortunate families board a plane for a new life in Europe while she and her brother were left behind to face an uncertain future in Greece.

Pope Francis, the son of Italian immigrants to Argentina, said the decision to take a dozen to Italy was a gesture of goodwill to set an example to the world to extend the hand of friendship during Europe’s migrant crisis.

They are being housed in Rome by Sant’Egidio, which has brought 250 Syrians to Italy since March.

Roula, her brother, 28, and a third man, their friend Samir, also 28, from Damascus, say a day or so before the Pope arrived they were approached by three volunteers believed to be from Sant’Egidio.

She explained: ‘They said they would take us to Italy, to pack our bags and to meet them the next day.

‘It was so secretive – they didn’t announce it to anybody and we were told to keep it a secret. ‘It seemed so unofficial – we didn’t know who they were or if they would really take us,’ Roula added.

‘I thought they might be organ traffickers – we had no idea.’

Samir had no such doubts when he was approached, however.

‘I was so excited to go to Italy – it was such a relief,’ he said. ‘They offered me my future on a plate, and then 24 hours later they took it away. ‘They had even told me that after a few months I could be reunited with my family and they would arrange for them to come from Damascus and join me in Italy.’

But the next day they received the crushing news that their places were given to another family.

The Pope told reporters on the plane back from Lesbos that it had been the idea of one of his aides and that he had immediately agreed.

‘I felt the spirit was talking to us,’ he said, adding that ‘everything was done according to the rules’, with documents provided by Italy, the Vatican and Greece.

Asked why they were all Muslim, he said there was something wrong with the papers of a Christian family that had originally been on the list. source

Catholic Church: New Priests Will be Expected to Preach Global Warming

Catholic Online reports that new priests will be expected to be familiar with and promote efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

New priests to learn about global warming as part of formation

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) — The Catholic Church is intimately concerned about climate change. The Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences is the world’s oldest, longest running scientific mission. That body, which advises the pope on matters of science, has concluded that global climate change is real and is caused, at least in significant part, by human activity.

This is important to the Church because creation care is part of our mission. We are called to be stewards of creation. It’s also important because climate change can exacerbate the ills of poverty. Poor people in much of the world are the most vulnerable to changes.

Unfortunately, the issue is politicized. In the late 1970s, when the issue threatened the financial interests of the fossil fuel industry, the political lobbies, chiefly in the United States, financed a massive political disinformation campaign to manufacture the illusion of dissent within the scientific community.

We know because this manipulation of public opinion has been caught and documented. The fossil fuel industry funds nearly all of the climate change skeptics, going so far as to commission questionable studies, to financing think tanks, and even paying individual bloggers. The deception continues today.

But what does this have to do with the Church?

The Church has a responsibility to care for people, and the environment. And care for one is also care for the other.

Now updated guidelines for the formation of clergy says new priests should understand this as well:

“Protecting the environment and caring for our common home — the Earth, belong fully to the Christian outlook on man and reality. Priests should be “promoters of an appropriate care for everything connected to the protection of creation.”

The new guidelines suggest that in the future, priests will also have a good grasp of the global climate change problem and will share this with their congregation.
