Failed GOP gubernatorial candidate blames Israel for Sandy Hook shooting on Iranian television

By Julian Pecquet - 12/18/12 01:02 PM ET

A one-time Republican candidate for governor of Arizona blamed Israeli "death squads" for the Sandy Hook shooting during an appearance on Iran's state-run Press TV Tuesday.

Michael Harris came in third place in the 2006 Republican primary, which Len Munsil won before falling to Democrat Janet Napolitano. He is now the Phoenix-based financial editor of Veterans Today, a conspiracy-minded “military and foreign affairs journal” whose editorial board includes former Pakistani and Russian spies.

“I want to remind you of the Norway shooting of Mr. Breivik, which followed a week after Norway had agreed to support Palestine,” Harris told Press TV. “Now you look at Israel just lost their bid to thwart Palestine from being recognized by the United Nations and now here we go, here is a revenge killing in the U.S., sponsored by Israel, that killed all these innocent children and that is something that Israelis do very, very well.

“They target the innocent, they target the children, they target women and they avoid the issue because they are angry. They did not get their way and now Palestine has standing at the U.N, and Israel is going to be subject to the international criminal courts and their leadership is going to be taken to task.”

Rom 11:11  I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
Rom 11:12  Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

Rom 11:25  For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27  For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Rom 11:28  As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

Eph 4:17  This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Eph 4:18  Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Eph 4:19  Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

1Pe 4:1  Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1Pe 4:2  That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1Pe 4:3  For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
1Pe 4:4  Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
1Pe 4:5  Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

And that is there for the same reason car owner manuals have instructions on how to apply the brakes! Some people are so out of touch with reality they really do need to be told those things. Lawyers make sure of it!

Democratic lawmaker suggest that **** victim women should all be disarmed and have no self defense

It's one thing for Americans who don't believe in the Second Amendment to refrain from carrying or owning a firearm for self-defense if they choose to do so, but it's a completely different thing for an anti-gun politician to push for laws that disarm Americans and put them at risk of harm from criminals.

That is especially true for women, who are often victimized by much stronger, much larger men.

But that doesn't matter to Colorado state Rep. Joe Salazar. As far as he's concerned, even women at risk of being raped should not be allowed to carry a gun.

Get a whistle, not a gun

While arguing for the disarmament of college students recently on the floor of the state Legislature, Salazar said guns weren't the answer for women at risk - "call boxes" and "whistles" were better protective choices.

"It's why we have call boxes, it's why we have safe zones, it's why we have the whistles. Because you just don't know who you're gonna be shooting at. And you don't know if you feel like you're gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone's been following you around or if you feel like you're in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop ... pop around at somebody."

In Salazar's world, absurdity obviously knows no bounds.

To his way of thinking, potential rapists would back off if they encountered a woman in a "safe zone." If she were near a "call box" or had a "whistle," her protection would be exponentially stronger because, you know, rapists pay attention to such things when planning their criminal acts.

Well, I can't **** her. She's got a whistle. She's in a 'safe zone.' And look - she's carrying a whistle.

"Representative Joe Salazar (D-Colo.) isn't a 'boorish, macho Latino' as some have stated. In his zeal to ban guns, he's shown himself to be a Todd Akin-level fool," writes Amy Sterling Casil at PolicyMic.com. "Akin's 2012 comments to the effect that women could 'prevent pregnancy' in the case of 'legitimate ****' arose from his desire to ban abortion, no matter what the circumstance of pregnancy. The statements of both men arose from political zeal which led them to voice opinions at odds with common sense and human decency."

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nascar--nascar-striving-for-diversity--but-it-s-a-slow-process-180102618.html

50 Cent sees 'no black people' at Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Give NASCAR credit for this, the racing circuit continues to attempt to diversify its fan base.

This year, in a continued effort to show racing fast cars should appeal to more than just its traditionally white fan base, the circuit brought in African American celebrities such as recording artists 50 Cent and T.I. and future Hall of Fame NFL star Ray Lewis to the Daytona 500. It's a long way from the traditional slate of country singers.

Yet even with the best intentions, the intended message may not be getting out.

"Damn, I don't see no black people lol," 50 Cent tweeted Sunday after arriving at Daytona International Speedway.

That was about the last message NASCAR was hoping to have hammered home to 50 Cent's nearly eight million followers.

The truth is the truth though. NASCAR itself has taken numerous steps through the years in attempt to open up its fan base – if for no other reason than to tap into a potential lucrative market.

It sets up outreach programs in cities near tracks, trying to take the cars to areas with more diverse populations. It sponsors a minority driver program. It has officially condemned the confederate flag, even barring the "General Lee" of Dukes and Hazards fame from appearing at a race in Phoenix last year.

NASCAR's long-term belief is that people from all walks of life, races, countries and socio-economic backgrounds love cars.

Indeed on Sunday, Sprint Cup driver Denny Hamlin and T.I. spoke at length about their shared love of Porsches and debated whose was faster.

At the turnstile however, it remains a struggle.

Flapping confederate flags still dot the sky across the expansive infield here at Daytona, for instance, and even if the intention for fans flying it isn't racially based – heritage not hate is the common defense – it remains an unwelcoming sign for many people of all races.

So in the end, 50 Cent and others can come to Daytona, taking traditional roles of, in the case of Lewis, waving the green flag to start the race – "Brad [Keselowski] texted me on the way in, 'The one rule is don't drop the flag,' " Lewis joked.

But when they look around, the reality remains the same as it has for years.

Diversity in NASCAR? Slowly is putting it mildly. The effort is for black drivers (any minorities) to compete, but they just aren't out there, and what drivers are out there, even fewer have the talent to make it to that level. Darrel Wallace Jr is the latest kid, and he's started his first full season in Nationwide series this year. And it's not a money thing either. Just look at the money spent at NBA and NFL games by minorities.

Sure, there's a stigma. Stock car racing came out of the south and running moonshine. True story, and not many black folk were involved that way, so yeah, it came up a white man's sport. True, of course there are still idiot racists within racing in the south, but they are an extreme minority these days.

Racing is as diverse as it can be at this point. The holdup is the fans and drivers getting involved.

50 Cent needs to instead of asking where all the black people are at NASCAR races, he needs to ask his peeps why they aren't going to races and racing cars. And he's got the cash (and Ray Lewis), he can sponsor a young black driver, which there are several I'm sure that need the help. Sponsors and other people's money is how drivers move up the ranks. No sponsors and support, no racing.

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman tells Kim Jong Un he has 'friend for life'
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/dennis-rodman-tours-north-koreas-124441472--spt.html

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- Ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman hung out Thursday with North Korea's Kim Jong Un on the third day of his improbable journey to Pyongyang, watching the Harlem Globetrotters with the leader and later dining and drinking with him at his palace.

''You have a friend for life,'' Rodman told Kim before a crowd of thousands at a gymnasium where they sat side by side, chatting as they watched players from North Korea and the U.S. play on mixed teams, Alex Detrick, a spokesman for the New York-based VICE media company, told The Associated Press.

Rodman arrived in Pyongyang on Monday with three members of the professional Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, VICE correspondent Ryan Duffy and a production crew to shoot an episode on North Korea for a new weekly HBO series.

The unlikely encounter makes Rodman the most high-profile American to meet Kim since the young North Korean leader took power in December 2011, and takes place against a backdrop of tension between Washington and Pyongyang. North Korea conducted an underground nuclear test just two weeks ago, making clear the provocative act was a warning to the United States to drop what it considers a ''hostile'' policy toward the North.

[] = emphasis mine

http://www.wlox.com/story/21447322/dennis-rodman-nkorea-leader-wants-obama-to-call

"He loves basketball. ... I said Obama loves basketball. Let's start there" as a way to warm up relations between U.S. and North Korea, [Dennis]Rodman told ABC's "This Week."

"He asked me to give Obama something to say and do one thing. He wants Obama to do one thing, call him," said Rodman, who called the authoritarian leader an "awesome guy" during his trip. The State Department criticized North Korea last week for "wining and dining' Rodman while its own people go hungry.

Well, the level of stupidity in this country has really gotten at an all-time low now...Dennis Rodman being a DIPLOMAT to North Korea Huh Huh

http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/kerry-dennis-rodmans-diplomat-18658088

Kerry: Dennis Rodman's No Diplomat

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman may be the only American ever to have met and spent time with North Korea's reclusive leader but U.S Secretary of State John Kerry isn't giving him any diplomatic kudos.

Kerry said Tuesday that the ex-Chicago Bulls player "was a great basketball player, and as a diplomat, he was a great basketball player."

"That's where we'll leave it," he told NBC News in an interview in Qatar, where he is wrapping up a nine-nation tour of Europe and the Middle East

Rodman made headlines last week with a visit to hermetic North Korea, sat next to youthful autocrat Kim Jong Un at an exhibition basketball game and gave the dictator, who threatens to end the truce with South Korea, several compliments about his leadership.

Ahmadinejad Predicts Hugo Chavez Will Be 'Resurrected With Jesus'

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has predicted that Hugo Chavez would be resurrected along with Jesus and a sacred Muslim prophet. “I have no doubt he will come again along with all the righteous people and the Prophet Jesus and the only successor of the righteous generation, the perfect human,” Ahmadinejad said in a statement released in Persian on the president's official website Wednesday, the New York Times reported. The "perfect human" refers to the Hidden Imam, who Shiite Muslims believe disappeared in the ninth century but expect to re-emerge.

Well, when I used to watch Jay Leno many years ago, he would do a segment where he would show titles of news articles/ads that were incredibly out of wack, that you ended up laughing at them. And these were articles/ads that merely showed up in the BACK PAGES of local newspapers's Metro/City sections, which was why one ends up finding them funny.

Now? It seems like these kinds of headline articles are in major papers toward the front pages et al - it's as if no one pays any attention to its wackiness anymore, but takes them at face value. Ultimately, it's not the least bit funny, but depressing.
