First off, this is JMHO, but not only do I believe these professional/collegiate sports games to be rigged AND scripted, but like with Hellywood movies, they also like to promote agendas and telegraph their punches.

Anyhow - here goes - the Dallas Cowboys(the team Michael Sam is currently on) were NOT supposed to be any good this year. I mean REALLY bad(to the point of NO interest - their training camp didn't get much interest unlike the many previous years). However, somehow they got FOX Network's "America's Game of the Week"(which is THE prime game of the day seen by most of the nation) for TWO weeks in a row - San Francisco last week, and a not-so-good Tennessee team last week(the latter somehow put a stuffing on Kansas City, a talented playoff team last year, on KC's home field that is). And yes - they make these schedules many months ahead(so the SF game was penciled in as just that game).

It wasn't like Sam being drafted in the 7th round by the St. Louis Rams(and then made his way to the Cowboys when all was said and done) was some coincidence. Texas is a RED state - and having Sam playing for a team in a RED, albeit "bible belt" state is a perfect place to increase the Hegelian Dialectic game, and ultimately get the masses to accept the sodomy agenda. Remember the sodomite movie "Brokeback Mountain" where this movie got its most popularity in RED states?

Pt being that this has been ALL by design from the get-go - it wasn't like Sam was coincidentally drafted in the tail end of the NFL draft in May, only to somehow find his next place in Dallas. And then the Dallas Cowboys somehow get TWO "America's Game of the Week" games on FOX, despite VERY LITTLE fanfare throughout much of this year?

And guess what - the Cowboys get another prime time game in 2 weeks - against the New Orleans Saints. Could Sam possibly make his debut then?

But yeah - as you can see - none of this is a coincidence. As for the reaction here in DFW over Sam coming - honestly, I haven't heard much concerns(despite a few churpings).

Make no mistake - all of this is part of the Hegelian Dialectic process to get everyone into "synergy" regarding getting them on board to accept the sodomy agenda.

And besides - if the NFL really did "blacklist" Tim Tebow, then why aren't they doing the same to RG3? Pt being that don't be fooled by this puppet show.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/rg3-forced-turn-religious-t-201301318.html
RG3 forced to turn religious T-shirt inside out, Christians get mad at gays.
9/16/14

Robert Griffin III's T-shirt was a violation of NFL rules. It also told non-Christians that they have no peace in their lives.

Robert Griffin III, the now-former Washington quarterback, was about to wear a Christian T-shirt at a post-game press conference until the NFL said...ummmm, no. RG3's shirt read "Know Jesus No Peace" and, simultaneously, "No Jesus No Peace." The reason he was told to turn the shirt inside out had nothing to do with Jesus (see below). But, frankly, I'm glad they told him not to wear it.

It's one thing to say "Know Jesus No Peace." It's a pretty positive statement about one man's religious belief about the power of Jesus in his life. But "No Jesus No Peace" tells me that because I don't "believe in Jesus," I have "no peace" in my life. Kinda crappy and 100% negative. He has no idea who has found peace in their life and who has not. There are plenty of Christians who live life in turmoil and many non-Christians who live a beautifully peaceful existence.

Somehow I had expected more of this man.

The episode of course drew complaints that the NFL somehow was endorsing homosexuality and attacking Christianity:

2 gay dudes can kiss on national Tv but RG3 has to wear his shirt inside out... pic.twitter.com/oxDK2b4Aff
    — WORLDSTAR (@WSHHFunny_) September 15, 2014

That tweet drew a number of "oh how horrible the world is" responses. The tweeter was referring to Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend after being drafted, and said kiss being aired on ESPN about a zillion times.

The incidence are, of course, apples and oranges. Or, as I heard Bill Polian say last week, "apples and furniture."

CBS had the real reason he was asked to turn the shirt inside-out. Shocker - it had nothing to do with Jesus:

According to NFL bylaws, players are prohibited from wearing clothing with personal messages on game-days.

"Throughout the period on game-day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the League office."

Make no mistake - the so-called "religious right" had every bit pushing the sodomy agenda as has the pro-sodomy lobby - pt being that the more they intensified the Hegelian Dialectic game with this, the more they wore everyone out and ultimately disensithized everyone. Remember the 2005 sodomite "Brokeback Mountain", where its biggest success was in these red, "bible belt" states? And another tactic they use is after they wear out everyone over the long haul, they end up getting them to look the other way(read the article).

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/remember-michael-sam-supposed-distraction-040002095.html
Remember When Michael Sam Was Supposed To Be A Distraction For The Dallas Cowboys?
9/17/14

The great distraction that was supposed to come to Dallas with Michael Sam has all but vanished as the NFL is swamped with bad news.

**Make no mistake too - not that we should ignore violence against women, but the whole "violence against women" agenda has been pushed by the feminists - and look how it has gotten front and center on the national stage now with the NFL playing its role. And now this flurry of news of domestic violence by NFL players has all but drowned out the NFL's pushing of the sodomy agenda.

As any long time reader here at BTB knows, I am loathe to point out when the esteemed members of the media who cover and comment on the Dallas Cowboys are totally, completely, ridiculously wrong. But it is hard to not notice that they were a teensy bit off on the dire predictions they made about a certain player signed to the Cowboys' practice squad.

Boy that Michael Sam has been a huge distraction in the NFL eh?
    — trey wingo (@wingoz) September 17, 2014

Remember Michael Sam? He was briefly the hottest story in the NFL as the first openly gay player to be drafted. After he failed to make the roster or be signed to the practice squad with the St. Louis Rams, the Cowboys' next opponent, there was some hand wringing about him being out of the league before Jerry Jones and his staff decided to bring him to join the Dallas practice squad. The team downplayed it, but the move made sense for a franchise looking for talent at rushing from the edge.

Maybe the Sam story would continue to attract attention in a normal year, but this is not a normal season for the NFL. Shortly after Sam arrived in Dallas, the sky fell in on the league. The full video of the Ray Rice assault on his then-fiance broke. Combined with the Greg Hardy and Ray McDonald situations, the NFL found itself engulfed in a firestorm of criticism following the incoherent and inconsistent way things were handled by the teams and the league. Then the Adrian Peterson child abuse indictment crashed in on top of that. With the foolish attempts by teams to find ways to get these players back on the field despite the tidal wave of negative coverage and growing public opinion that they should not be seen playing on national TV, at least until these issues are resolved legally, almost no one seems to be paying attention to the Sam story.

**Yes, and all of this was scripted and by design - look at the TIMING of these stories that broke(in particular, the Ray Rice one) - which was around the time when ISIS, ebola, etc was forcing the MSM's hand to do alot of reporting on them, until they were able to put them on the backburner. Nonetheless - looks like the NFL has done one crafty job at pushing the sodomy agenda with the whole Michael Sam hoopla(now they've gotten everyone to look the other way).

All the predictions about the huge distraction Sam would be in the harsh media glare seem quaint now. (Think for a moment: Were you even sure he was still with the team?) The Sam story seems totally insignificant when compared with professional athletes that brutally render the woman they supposedly love unconscious with a blow to the head, or a grown man whipping a child with a piece of a tree and leaving open wounds. The decision to bring Sam to Dallas has turned out be a very smart one, with a lot of benefits for all parties.

**So b/c someone jumps off the Empire State Building, it's OK for us to do the same? Is one sin worse than others, which means our "good works" will ultimately send us to heaven?(which is completely contrary to scripture)

The publicity for the Cowboys has been almost all positive, especially in the media.

According to the limited reports, Sam has been doing well. Said reports consist mostly of a daily question answered by Bryan Broaddus on Twitter, who repeats time after time that the team thinks Sam is doing a good job.

Sam, who was praised by Jeff Fisher, head coach of the Rams, as having NFL caliber talent (just not enough to get onto the admittedly deep D line in St. Louis) gets to work out and train with an NFL staff rather that sit and wait for a call while trying to stay in shape on his own. This greatly increases his chances of being signed by a team in need of a DE or 3-4 OLB.

He gives Dallas a low-cost fallback plan should injury strike, or the team just wants to go with a different option if some of the current defensive ends on the 53 don't pan out. I think a late season call up with the Cowboys is his most likely (although far from certain) path to playing on Sundays. But keep in mind that Kenneth Boatright is also on the practice squad, and may be ahead of Sam in the eyes of the coaches.

Even if Sam does not break through this season, he has the opportunity to convince the coaches to bring him back next season to try again with the Cowboys. Meanwhile, even though it is just with the practice squad, he is getting to make his living as a professional football player. His dream remains very much alive while the Cowboys get what appears to be good value for giving him a shot.

Without all the distractions.

Luke 20:21  And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:
Luk 20:22  Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
Luk 20:23  But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

1Corinthians 3:19  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

The Disappointment of Michael Sam Getting Cut From the Cowboys
10/21/14

Just as when first-ever openly gay NFL player Michael Sam was dropped from the St. Louis Rams in August, today's announcement that he's been cut from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad is likely to inspire two responses. First: This cut is not about sexuality, this is about the game of football. Second: This cut is absolutely about sexuality. At this point, though, both views seem too simplistic.

Sam has been the victim of several close calls all season long. He was a seventh-round draft pick for the Rams, and as a defensive end, he had to fight for a permanent spot on the team against several others in that same position. He eventually lost out, didn't get picked up on waivers, and was picked up for the Cowboys' practice squad shortly after.

An openly gay player in the NFL was thought impossible, and yet here it was. And now here it isn't.

Now, Sam has been cut to make way for linebacker Troy Davis on the practice squad. That may make perfect sense for the team. That doesn’t mean that people who had emotionally invested in Sam because of what he stood for aren’t entitled to disappointment—no matter what people who understand the decision logically might say. In other words: Calling the Cowboys' or the Rams' decision to cut Sam homophobic might be an overreach. But it's an understandable overreach.

Sam cried on national television when he got the call from the Rams. He kissed his boyfriend. They cried together. He was surrounded by supportive family. It was an image that felt glorious not just because of how happy people were for Sam, but for all that he represented. That kiss was a personal moment. It was a football moment. It was also history. And it's easy to get caught up in history.

Even after Robbie Rogers strode onto the field as a member of the L.A. Galaxy, and Jason Collins found a temporary home with the Nets, Sam's story still was groundbreaking. The NFL is a different league from the rest, if you'll pardon the pun. It is the pinnacle of macho in American culture. It is buffalo wings and Bud Light and big corporate sponsors. It is burly men hitting each other as millions watch and cheer. An openly gay player in the NFL was thought impossible not too long ago. And yet here it was, all over ESPN. And now here it isn't.

For those who are disappointed, the hardest part is often not knowing how to respond to the news. Why can't it just be about homophobia? Why can't there be some easily identified evil here, something that we can make a hashtag campaign about? What is there to change when the answer isn't "no," but "not now"? After all, "now" fits the narrative better. "Now" fits into the moment of acceptance the nation is experiencing as more and more states establish marriage equality. If only Michael Sam was the right fit for the Rams, or for the Cowboys, or for another team. It could have been now, those who are disappointed will sigh. It should have been now.

That's why this can't just be chalked up to "it was the best thing for the team" for many observers. Humans don't work that way. Sam is a lovable hero, and it was easy to cheer him on. The hardest thing to accept isn't that Sam isn't going to be on the national field at some point. Even if it's not him, there will be an openly gay NFL player, and that moment is coming very soon.

But that moment is not now. And it’s okay to be disappointed about that.

BREWERS PROSPECT DAVID DENSON FIRST GAY ACTIVE PRO BASEBALL PLAYER
Sunday, August 16, 2015 01:32AM
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers minor leaguer David Denson has become the first openly gay active player on a team affiliated with Major League Baseball.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said Denson, with the help of former major leaguer Billy Bean, reached out to the newspaper to tell his story.

The 20-year-old first baseman plays for the Helena Brewers in the rookie Pioneer League. Bean, Major League Baseball's first ambassador for inclusion, revealed he is gay after his playing career.

"Talking with my teammates, they gave me the confidence I needed, coming out to them," Denson told the newspaper. "They said, "You're still our teammate. You're still our brother. We kind of had an idea, but your sexuality has nothing to do with your ability. You're still a ballplayer at the end of the day. We don't treat you any different. We've got your back.'

"That was a giant relief for me. I never wanted to feel like I was forcing it on them. It just happened. The outcome was amazing. It was nice to know my teammates see me for who I am, not my sexuality."

In June, pitcher Sean Conroy of the Sonoma Stompers of the independent Pacific Association revealed he is gay. The Pacific Association is not affiliated with Major League Baseball.

Denson was selected by the Brewers in the 15th round in 2013 after playing for South Hills High School in West Covina, California. He spent last season with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in the Class A Midwest League, hitting .243 with four homers and 29 RBI in 68 games. He started this season with Wisconsin, hitting .195 with one homer and eight RBI in 24 games before being sent to Helena. In 42 games with the Montana team, he's hitting .245 with four homers and 18 RBI.

Denson was 0-for-5 with an RBI on Saturday night in Helena's 8-7 loss at Idaho Falls.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the-dagger/bryant-assistant-becomes-division-i-s-first-openly-gay-basketball-coach-071913785.html
Bryant assistant becomes Division I's first openly gay basketball coach

The lone openly gay coach in Division I college basketball is relieved his secret is finally out.

In an article published Thursday by USA Today, Bryant University assistant coach Chris Burns described the gradual process that led to him nervously standing in front of the entire team a few weeks ago and revealing his sexuality. Many players responded by hugging him and telling him they loved him, imbuing him with the confidence to share his story with the media.

“I can’t say enough about believing in the good in people, the good in human beings,” Burns said. “They can surprise you, energize you, give you a reason to believe in the good in the world."

The announcement from Burns will likely make him one of college basketball's most recognizable assistant coaches even though he works at a little-known Rhode Island school that until seven years ago wasn't even part of Division I.

Just like former NBA center Jason Collins and Seton Hall guard Derrick Gordon have forged a path for gay players tired of leading a double life, Burns now becomes a pioneer for closeted coaches. Of the roughly 1,500 head coaches and assistants currently working in Division I men's basketball, the 31-year-old New Hampshire native is the only one who is openly gay.

While it's encouraging that Bryant's players and staff have been supportive of Burns thus far, his job duties dictate that winning over the locker room is only part of the challenge. He also needs to be able to go to high school gyms or living rooms across the Northeast, connect with prospects and their families and recruit at the same level he was prior to Thursday's announcement.

That surely won't be easy, yet it's a challenge Burns embraces. After all, it's far better than the isolation he experienced previously when he worried that he could never fully be himself in basketball circles.

"Since I started telling people in college basketball over the last few months, I've realized my fears were far worse than reality," Burns wrote in a first-person essay published Thursday by OutSports.com. "I've realized that people, for the most part, are human beings first. For a guy who's relatively cynical and can be negative, the reactions of people in my sport and in my life have shut me right up and reenergized my hope in the human spirit."

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba-referee-bill-kennedy-reveals-he-is-gay--rajon-rondo-made-alleged-homosexual-slur-to-him-174255321.html
12/14/15
NBA referee Bill Kennedy reveals he is gay; Rajon Rondo made slur to him

Bill Kennedy, one of the NBA's top referees, has revealed he is gay.

"I am proud to be an NBA referee and I am proud to be a gay man," Kennedy told Yahoo Sports on Sunday night. "I am following in the footsteps of others who have self-identified in the hopes that will send a message to young men and women in sports that you must allow no one to make you feel ashamed of who you are."

Kennedy declined further comment on his announcement.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver delivered a statement of support for Kennedy.

"I wholeheartedly support Bill's decision to live his life proudly and openly," Silver told Yahoo Sports in a statement. "Throughout his 18-year career with the league, Bill has excelled as a referee because of his passion, dedication and courage. Those qualities will continue to serve him well both as a game official and as a positive influence for others. While our league has made great progress, our work continues to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity."

Kennedy's announcement comes in the wake of the NBA's suspension of Sacramento Kings guard Rajon Rondo, who game officials, including Kennedy, heard unleash a disturbing torrent of anti-gay slurs following his ejection from a game on Dec. 3 in Mexico City.

After Kennedy, 49, ejected Rondo with consecutive technical fouls in a Kings loss to the Boston Celtics, Rondo defied league protocol to immediately leave the court and began stalking Kennedy, who had retreated to a far sideline of the floor.

In the game officials’ report used as part of the NBA's investigation – which includes details provided to Yahoo Sports from National Basketball Referee's Association general counsel Lee Seham – Kennedy and fellow referee Ben Taylor described Rondo's post-ejection diatribe as including the statements: "You're a mother------- ****. … You're a f------ ****, Billy."

Seham reported that a third official, Bennie Adams, outside of hearing distance, "affirmed that Rondo aggressively pursued referee Bill Kennedy and had to be restrained by teammates and escorted off the floor by Sacramento team security."

The three officials – Kennedy, Taylor and Adams – confirmed those reports in taped interviews conducted by NBA security on Dec. 4, Seham said.

http://www.stanleycupofchowder.com/2015/12/18/10569582/new-study-suggests-sports-fans-like-when-their-teams-embrace-lgbt
12/18/15
"Study results suggest that professional teams that endorse an LGBT-inclusive vision of diversity in sports are viewed favorably by the public and could gain support from LGBT fans."

This is the main takeaway from a report issued today by the LGBT Research and Communications Project at the Center for American Progress. The study, authored by Laura E. Durso, Sarah McBride, and Caitlin Rooney, asked a group of survey respondents about four major issues surrounding pro sports teams and social causes (such as support for and inclusion of LGBT players and fans). The results were interesting, and--depending on your take on the state of sports fandom vis-a-vis these issues--possibly sort of surprising. Let's dig in, shall we?

Here are the research questions the survey attempted to answer:

To what degree do people believe that professional sports teams should take public stances on social causes?
How do opinions of professional sports teams change if those teams express support for LGBT athletes and fans?
How do opinions of professional sports teams change if those teams express support for laws protecting LGBT people?
Does the explicit inclusion of LGBT people in diversity statements affect perceptions of professional sports teams?
The results of the survey are meaty, and I'm not going to go into crazy detail about the individual responses, but in each case a majority of people said their opinions of a professional sports team would be improved, or wouldn't change at all, should the team take a stance on social issues or publicly support LGBT athletes/fans/laws protecting the same. Here's a bit from the question on a team's support of LGBT fans and players:

"Overall, 56.1 percent of respondents stated that their opinion of a professional sports team would become ‘somewhat more positive' or ‘significantly more positive' if the team ‘expressed support for LGBT athletes and fans.' Another 36.2 percent responded that their opinion ‘would not change at all.' Only 7.6 percent answered that their opinion would become ‘somewhat more negative' or ‘significantly more negative.'"

The general conclusion from all this analysis, according to the authors? "Results of this study indicate that professional sports teams that make public statements in support of LGBT equality for both athletes and everyday people will generally be viewed favorably by the public at large."

Personally, I find these results to be pretty encouraging, and perhaps more to the point, I hope that professional sports franchises take this message to heart: in general, a majority of sports fans are ready for inclusivity and support of diverse populations, including the LGBT population. Programs such as You Can Play have certainly attracted the involvement of some pro sports franchises, but--at least according to this study--folks in this country are ready for broader support. In other words: this is your now, professional sports teams of America!

For the entire report, which includes breakdowns of responses by age group and political affiliation, as well as information about the methodology underpinning the survey, check out "LGBT Inclusion in Sports: Beliefs About the Role of Professional Sports in Public Life"!

More CONDITIONING by the MSM minions...(make no mistake, all of this is scripted)

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/giants-reportedly-believe-panthers-players-205912725.html
The Giants reportedly believe Panthers players directed homophobic slurs at Odell Beckham Jr.
12/21/15

Odell Beckham Jr. reportedly felt threatened by members of the Carolina Panthers during warm-ups before Sunday’s game, and a new report claims that the New York Giants believe that members of the Panthers not only threatened Beckham physically with baseball bats, but they also shouted homophobic slurs at him.

From CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora:

Giants reviewed pregame incidents b/n Panthers players and Beckham. Are convinced he was threatened physically and called homophobic slurs

— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora)
December 21, 2015
Giants not alleging any particular player saying/doing this but have looked into various pregame interactions and firmly believe it occured

Accounts from various people on sidelines point to a series of events that played a role in Beckham’s unusual emotional state in that game

— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora)
December 21, 2015
Beckham is likely to be suspended for a helmet-to-helmet cheap shot on Josh Norman late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game.

La Canfora also reports that the Panthers have vehemently denied the Giants’ claims:

Panthers officials deny strongly any threats or slurs were made and are adamant they have long used a bat as a motivating prop…

Drummond went on to say: "no one was threatened with a bat. It didn’t happen. It’s a diversionary tactic and a good one at that.”

Panthers ban bat props and Ron Rivera denies gay slurs
12/23/15

The Carolina Panthers' bats are being put away for winter.

Amid allegations that Panthers players brandished bats, which had been used all season as motivational props, and used anti-gay slurs toward New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. prior to their Week 15 matchup, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera says he's ending the bat program.

Even though he felt there was nothing wrong with it after talking to his team to find out what happened prior to the explosive matchup between Beckham and Panthers corner Josh Norman, Rivera said he would put an end to it preemptively.

“I’m going to end up hearing [about] it. So to avoid the situation and set of circumstances, let’s just eliminate it. That’s what we’re going to do,” Rivera said, via the Charlotte Observer. “It’s the No Fun League for a reason.”

Beckham reportedly felt intimidated by the Panthers’ pregame actions. Panthers practice squad safety Marcus Ball reportedly jawed with Beckham while wielding a bat before the game. Rivera said the bat controversy was "non-troversy" — it was a motivational tool, he said, used by the Panthers and by other teams.

Rivera said he'd act accordingly if other serious allegations surfaced. For now, he seemed annoyed at the distraction of it all.

“I’m a little disappointed in it to be quite honest because a lot of it has been assumptions and innuendos. We’ve not heard from Odell. He hasn’t released a statement. Their organization hasn’t released a statement. But I keep hearing all these things that everybody else is saying,” Rivera said.

“So that disappoints me because if there’s something out there that’s factual, there’s truth, there’s hard evidence, please present it to us as well so we can react accordingly. We don’t tolerate that here.”

Beckham was suspended for Sunday's Week 16 game against the Minnesota Vikings, pending an appeal. The league is reviewing other potential discipline from the game — including with Norman — in the form of fines.

Rivera also said he has seen no evidence, from Ball or any other Panthers player, that slurs were used.

“Marcus has given me no reason not to believe what he told me. I heard nothing. Several of the people around him heard nothing to be construed as something homophobic,” Rivera said. “Having said that, unless there’s an audio or something out there to show me ..."

On top of that, Rivera wondered what many of us in the media speculated: that the allegations coming from the Giants or from Beckham's camp was an attempt at "spin control" or a way of justifying his actions, which included three unnecessary roughness calls in the game that led to the suspension.

Georgia governor says he will veto religious exemption bill
3/28/16

ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal on Monday said he will veto legislation shielding opponents of same-sex marriage, after a groundswell of opposition from companies threatening to boycott the state if it became law.

The Republican announced his decision during a news conference in his office at the Georgia Capitol, saying, "I have examined the protections that this bill proposes to provide to the faith based community and I can find no examples of any of those circumstances occurring in our state."

Deal added, "I do not think that we have to discriminate against anyone to protect the faith-based community in Georgia."

Republican majorities passed the bill to broadly protect people whose actions were rooted in their religion. It also would have protected clergy who won't perform gay marriages and people who won't attend a wedding for religious reasons.

Churches and affiliated religious groups could have used their faith as an argument for refusing to serve or hire someone.

The bill's opponents said it excused discrimination and could trample local ordinances protecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

Coca-Cola and other big-name Georgia companies joined the NFL, prominent Hollywood figures and film studios urging Deal to reject the proposal. Some threatened to boycott the state if Deal didn't veto.

Deal, in his second and final term, heatedly said that those threats and questions about "my convictions and my character" from some in the religious community were misguided.

"I do not respond very well to insults or to threats," he said. "The people of Georgia deserve a leader who will make sound judgments based on solid reasons that are not inflamed by emotion."

http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/nba-threatens-to-pull-all-star-game-if-north-carolina-wont-allow-men-in-the-ladies-room/

NBA Commish Will Pull All-Star Game If North Carolina Won’t Allow Men In The Ladies Room

"We've been, I think, crystal clear that we believe a change in the law is necessary for us to play in the kind of environment that we think is appropriate for a celebratory NBA event, but that we did have some time and that if the view of the people who were allied with us in terms of a change, if their view, the people on the ground in North Carolina, was that the situation would best be served by us not setting a deadline, we would not set a deadline at this time."

4/25/16

Commissioner Adam Silver believes the NBA has been “crystal clear” that the 2017 All-Star Game only stays in Charlotte if a North Carolina law goes

EDITOR’S NOTE: Whether you realize it or not, what happens in North Carolina will set the standard for the other 49 states as well. The united powers of end times darkness are using every threat they have to get North Carolina to reverse it’s Bathroom Bill protecting women and little girls from pedophiles and perverts in the restroom. I can think of no greater illustration of the battle of good versus evil in the last days than this.

Political and business leaders he’s spoken with in the state believe it will, so he’s holding off for now on setting any deadlines for when the NBA might act.

Silver said last week that the law that limits anti-discrimination protections for lesbian, gay and transgender people was “problematic” for the league, but he believed dialogue was more useful than ultimatums at this point, so has continued discussions with North Carolina officials.

“The sense was that if the NBA could give us some time, they in the community of North Carolina were optimistic they would see a change in the law. They weren’t guaranteeing it and I think which was why my response was the event still is 10 months from now, we don’t need to make a decision yet,” Silver said Thursday during a meeting of Associated Press Sports Editors.

“We’ve been, I think, crystal clear that we believe a change in the law is necessary for us to play in the kind of environment that we think is appropriate for a celebratory NBA event, but that we did have some time and that if the view of the people who were allied with us in terms of a change, if their view, the people on the ground in North Carolina, was that the situation would best be served by us not setting a deadline, we would not set a deadline at this time.”

The North Carolina law directs transgender people to use public toilets corresponding to the sex listed on their birth certificate. The law also excludes LGBT people from state anti-discrimination protections, blocks local governments from expanding LGBT protections, and bars all types of workplace discrimination lawsuits from state courts.

Olympic Committee Decides To Allow Transgender Men To Compete Against Actual Women

The new guidelines attempt to justify themselves by citing various societies’ acceptance of fluid gender identity, writing, “Since the 2003 Stockholm Consensus on Sex Reassignment in Sports, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of autonomy of gender identity in society, as reflected in the laws of many jurisdictions worldwide.”

6/9/16
There’s great news for adventurous transgender male Olympic hopefuls: if they declare themselves women and reduce their testosterone below 10 nmol/L for at least 12 months prior to competition, they can compete against ladies.

There’s even better news for these men; according to transgender guidelines approved by the International Olympic Committee, genitalia does not serve as a prerequisite. The guidelines state: “To require surgical anatomical changes as a pre-condition to participation is not necessary to preserve fair competition and may be inconsistent with developing legislation and notions of human rights.”

Cyd Zeigler at OutSports.com reported on the policy change.

The IOC held a “Consensus Meeting on Sex Reassignment and Hyperandrogenism” in November at which they created the new guidelines, loosening prior rules adopted in 2004 to allow transgender athletes into the Games. The previous rules required that transgender athletes must have undergone external genitalia changes and removal of gonads, as well as obtaining legal recognition of their assigned sex  from appropriate official authorities.

Basketball star Elena Delle Donne comes out as gay with little fanfare
•Aug 3, 2016 7:32 PM

Women’s basketball star Elena Delle Donne, a key member of Team USA in Rio de Janeiro and the WNBA’s reigning MVP as a member of the Chicago Sky, has come out as gay via a new article in Vogue. The news is perhaps most interesting not for its content, but the way in which it was delivered. Delle Donne’s sexual orientation is revealed with no special attention in the piece. In fact, Delle Donne appears to have been surprised by the timing of its publication.

Phil Thompson of the Chicago Tribune was the first to relay the report. The Vogue article is not yet available online, but OutSports.com has the relevant passage:

“Elena divides her time between traveling with her team, the Chicago Sky, and her family’s home in the rolling green landscape of Wilmington, Delaware. She and her fiancee, Amanda Clifton, keep apartments in both Chicago and Wilmington.”

Although Delle Donne does not explicitly state that she’s gay, the revelation of her engagement serves as an announcement nonetheless.

Delle Donne answered questions about the article at a USA Basketball press conference on Wednesday night in Rio. She made it clear that including her fiancee in the Vogue story was their choice. From Thompson’s article:

“I decided I’m not at all going to hide anything,” Delle Donne said. “The biggest thing is respecting Amanda’s privacy as well. She’s not on the stage, she doesn’t need to be interviewed and I don’t want her to have to feel that way.

“As the future keeps moving on, I don’t plan on having our relationship out in the public and all this media on it, but obviously there’s excitement right now because people see it for the first time.” […]

“It was just one of those articles where they came into my home, spent a couple days with me, and Amanda is a huge part of my life,” Delle Donne said. “So to leave her out wouldn’t have made any sense. It’s not a coming out article or anything. I’ve been with her for a very long time now and people who are close to me know that and that’s that.”

Thompson notes that Delle Donne has previously chosen not to answer questions about her personal life and sexual orientation, but it is readily apparent that she and Clifton have been more open about their relationship in recent months. Both Delle Donne and Clifton regularly post photos of each other (and their very good dogs) on social media and do not try especially hard to hide a close relationship. As Delle Donne says, opening up about her personal life was a natural decision given the circumstances. Like many athletes, she chose to bring her partner into the story because not doing so would have rejected the entire purpose of the article.

It’s safe to say that the decision was made easier because Delle Donne plays women’s basketball, a sport that has historically been much more open to LGBTQ fans and causes than other leagues. When the NBA and WNBA became the first major American sports leagues to march in the New York City Pride parade in June, the most surprising aspect of the news was that the latter had not done it before. Delle Donne is far from the first women’s basketball superstar to come out. In fact, Brittney Griner, the only player picked before her in the 2013 draft, did so shortly before her selection.

What makes Delle Donne different is that she hews to the establishment’s idea of what a star woman athlete should like — classically feminine and media-friendly enough to get prime placement alongside men’s basketball stars in Nike ad campaigns. (It obviously doesn’t hurt her that she’s blonde and white, either.) If nothing else, Delle Donne can show that there is no set template for a professional athlete, gay or otherwise. As one of her sport’s most visible stars, she can lead the fight for acceptance by example.

What’s perhaps most heartening about this news, though, is that it could be announced with little fanfare or accompanying outcry. This is who Delle Donne is, and it appears that most observers have accepted it happily.

If Delle Donne hopes to move on from this announcement soon, she should be able to speed up that process with her play on the court. Few athletes of either gender have the 6-foot-5 superstar’s talent of size, skill, and determination. Wednesday’s story is terrific for both Delle Donne and the sports world as a whole, but we should watch her play for Team USA for the same reasons we would have on Tuesday.
