Well we can't go forward with our heads in the sand.
If God had intended for us to be "blind" in the end times He would not have given us prophecies through Daniel; or insights into those times through the book of Revelations.
There's a reason He locked up the prophecies.
God does not want us to suffer in the end times. He wants us to prepare for a time when "men's hearts will fail".
The "nature of the fight" is to see the warning signs, to understand what comes.
Just as those Jews who saw what was coming fled Germany and lived because of it. We can prepare for what comes.
The "nature of the fight" is to recognise the "birthing pains", to see the tell tale signs of creeping tyranny.
"there is no fear in love..." Indeed. But neither does God want us to endure pain or suffering. We live in a fallen world, and must prepare accordingly.
There will be no rapture, we will live through the tribulations just like the rest of humanity, but at least we can be prepared for what comes.
Those who have the Spirit, "but we have the mind of Christ", will see exactly what they need to see and when they need to see as the Holy Ghost reveals it to them.
"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life." John 6:63 (KJB)Yes, we are to "prepare", but not like the world is doing. The world is running in fear, hiding under rocks for fear of Him that's coming because they know their deeds are evil.
As for preparing your family for what's coming? Again, that means the head of household leads the house in seeking out Jesus and living by faith in Him, and not allowing any false doctrines to creep in, or remove any unbelieving persons who are disobedient and disorderly. The unbelieving can manage to keep their mouth shut for the most part if they try to have some respect for others around them, but they too aren't perfect, and will open their mouths and reveal the contents of their heart.
As Jesus shows us through brother Paul, the key to people continuing to do sinful things is the flesh. It is corrupt, broken, and CANNOT be managed by our own efforts. It is a effort in futility to "try to not sin". We are already guilty of all sins, even things we WILL do in the flesh in the future, so long as the flesh exists.
"Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me." Romans 7:17 (KJB)But thank you Jesus, it's not about what we do, but how we believe and have faith. Jesus, through His Spirit in us, does the rest.
So the point of Alex is that his types are "preaching" another Jesus, in that they are saying to the public, "Look out! Get prepared for the coming...", and "Stand up and fight for your rights to bear arms...". THAT is not of faith, but of the world.
"...whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached..."
Alex has said the name of Jesus, and many devils have, but that doesn't make him saved. "Ye shall know them by their fruits".
"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." James 2:19 (KJB)The world, and Alex, are telling the world about stuff that is going on, and yes, he's got many things correct, but 90% correct, scripturally speaking, is considered by God as a false prophet and subject to death. Only a true prophet of God, when speaking His Word, is correct all the time. Man speaks in his own words and understanding, and may be correct mostly, but the ultimate truth in life, salvation through Jesus Christ, is what is more important than worrying about the evils of the world.
We can sum up the whole "truth movment" and the slide of the US and the rest of the world into chaos very simply...
"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them." Isaiah 8:20 (KJB)"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" John 10:27 (KJB)1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
